There is nothing quite like a crazy auto auction story. We were involved in shifting the market on E90 BMW M3's this past week and we want to explain how it happens. When you read or watch content around auctions many times what is said is theory and not coming from someone who actually deals in the car market. Things in this world are often times not what they seem. So you need to be very detailed and understand exactly what is happening in real time if you want to find any amount of success. The auto auction market has changed significantly and online auctions have driven that change very quickly. So, when discussing this auction we will lay out exactly what went on and how I identified a fishy situation. Also, the importance of me keeping a cool head lead to a great ending to this story. There is nothing more thrilling to me than buying and selling cars at auction and it has lead me to more business in my auto detailing life as well. We have all been learning over the past 5-7 years that there is just no way to have a territory in coatings but why do companies and detailers keep fighting over it? It is really easy for all of us to fall into the trap of saying itβs really hard to hire auto detailing professionals but the truth is the entire world is struggling to hire. We talk about chemical distribution and how auto detailers can use chemicals to expand their business without having to hire team members. There are plenty of our distributors adding to their revenue without having to take on massive amounts of team members. We also discuss know your worth and what it really means. Marshall shares a story he saw on TikTok about this subject. Auto detailers are told to know their worth, but what are the rules? A detailer charges $4000 to coat a vehicle without correction and he is charging too much but another detailer down the street isn't charging enough? WHAT ARE THE RULES? If you read auto detailing Facebook you would believe we have to do at least a 2 step correction before we ever think about installing PPF.
