Every year Tyler’s Club the Mad Hatters does a late October run out on the Rubicon, and every year there seams to be wild weather. The last few years we have had rain, and snow. 443: Barrett Lake Round Dos
Tyler and Jimmy were supposed to go off-roading at Barrett Lake this last weekend but Jimmy felt bad leaving the Assistant at home with still so much to do on the house. 442: Jimmy’s Verbal Dump
This week on Jimmy’s Verbal Dump he tells us all about the move out of the old house and into his childhood home. Along with the issues of the dinning room table and the mini assistants bed. He also did some work on Bobcat as it has a leaky inner axle seal. All of the leaky nasty soup out of the knuckle is getting all over the brakes and needs to be replaced as well. There is some slight discussion on what is going to happen with 4wd Samantha. But Jimmy did end up going to an off-road event. Tyler and Ah-Z had quite the adventure heading down to the Overland Summit in Big Bear. The Overland Summit was a huge success and they both had a blast showing off MORRFlate to everyone there. Tyler took Kermit out on the first run down Cadallic Hill to the Rubicon Springs to join everyone for the 35th Annual Toyota Land Cruiser Association Rubition. Jimmy goes camping with his the Assistants Mom’s Group. They went up to a local camping resort called Lake Francis. It was a fun place to camp, with mixed RV, Trailers, and dry camping, there was also a general store and a swimming pool. 427: Marlin Crawler Round-Up
Tyler and Jimmy took Bobcat out the the Marlin Crawler Roundup (MCR). On our way in we were able to hang out with the Yokohama Tire crew as they were on a day trip into the Rubicon Trail. Once they were at their turn-around spot, little Sluce, Tyler, and Jimmy left the group and continued on their way. Arriving at Rubicon Springs they quickly set up their camps because it was about to dump rain on top of everyone. Besides the random downpour they had a great time, and were glad to be out on the trail supporting a fantastic company. Want to win some Tires? Sierra Trek is a Cal4wheel fundraiser that happens off the Fordyce Creek Trail in Northern California. Tyler was working on Com’s the entire event.
