Holy Cow Can She Race! Katie Hettinger Thunders into the Cars Tour and begins Thinning the Herd
A third-generation racer from Dryden, Michigan, she attended her first race at just four weeks old. By age five, she was racing Quarter Midgets, and at 12, she had transitioned to full-bodied stock cars in the Champion Racing Association (CRA) Junior Late Model Series. By 14 she became the youngest female race winner at North Carolina’s famed Hickory Motor Speedway, known as the Birthplace of NASCAR Stars and today at 16, she is one of the brightest and recognizable fan favorites of the CARS Pro Late Model Tour.
