LIVE
Yes indeed, my friends, the legendary turbocharged sport wagon from SOG, complete with a peppy
six-speed manual transmission and limited edition embossed leather interior, causing
great shape for its age.
I purchased it in the summer of 2022 from its second owner.
It used it as a daily drive on Boston from 2019 to the time I purchased it.
Before that, it was owned by one older gentleman in New Hampshire.
I just love when people do that because it's given the story, you know, we're all about
the story here, light plus cars.
Just go on Craigslist, insert used cars and then just put manual, see what comes up.
That, yes, that is, that is what I hadn't mind since I thought that, oh, we could do
like the manual search or $10,000 cap.
What would you buy?
Yep.
So immediately from that found in 1995 Eagle Talon five-speed, that's seven grand and
you never see Talons and the TSI, wow, that is a nice find, seven grand.
If it's only in New Jersey, yeah.
Oh, that's not bad, 180,000 miles on it.
I don't know when's the last time I saw an Eagle Talon, maybe at Radwood from five years
ago.
I think the last time I saw one was it was in a video game because you just don't see
them.
Oh, here we go.
Let's see it.
Oh, I like this.
A rare bird.
A rare bird.
I keep really sticking with the theme.
You love the way that they market this one.
That's quite, that is quite the muffler hanging out there.
That is, let me, let me read this for the listener, like in the way that they're trying
to get this across 1995 Eagle Talon TSI, all wheel drive, dual overhead cam, 16 valve
turbo, five speed stick shift.
This is a rare bird.
Yeah.
Yeah.
6995.
Our website is.
Yep.
Yep.
The Eagle Talon, it's definitely had an exhaust upgrade, one of the fart cans as I like to
call them.
Overall though, not a bad looking rig, a little bit of wear in the driver's seat.
But I mean, how often do you find one of those that's not rusted out or in a junk yard, so
not too shabby.
I'd buy it for three grand.
Yeah.
That's, that's a better price.
Does it have the little turbo bump?
It does.
Some more to the equips.
Do you see the bump?
Oh, yeah.
They have the bump in the hood to accommodate the turbo.
Yeah.
I always had to laugh with that, that signature touch for the eclipse and the talent of this
era that we'll just put a bump there in the hood.
Yep.
It is not even, it's not even actually where the turbo is.
No.
It's actually when you pop the hood, it's where like the timing belt or maybe that serpentine
belt would go.
It looks like serpentine belt.
Yeah.
Definitely has had some modifications on this rig.
It's got a different intake on it.
Yeah.
It's a big air box.
It definitely had some exhaust work on it.
Yep.
I was talking to the, you know, possible listener before as we can see here on this photo, it's
definitely had the fart can installed.
Yes.
As we zoom in there.
Yeah.
And this car was originally purchased from Beaver Motors.
There you go.
Beaver Motors and looks like Pennsylvania maybe.
I can't quite make that out.
Yeah, it's a little blurry.
Beaver Motors.
That was, oh my gosh, because that would have been what a Chrysler, Eagle, Jeep dealership
probably at the time.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, that is that muffler is massive.
It makes no sense.
Oh, it's got the aftermarket.
Well, of course, you gotta have Bluetooth.
The JVC.
Oh, yeah.
I wonder if that's when you can remove the screen ticket with you, you know, you don't
want anyone to steal that.
Oh, yeah.
That's probably why I wanted to kind of be safe.
Be better if it came with one of those classic wheel locks, like the ratcheting wheel lock.
That was so 90s.
Yes, like the, yeah, the bright red wheel locks.
You knew the one.
But yeah.
Oh, yeah, this was one that definitely caught my 2000 model year Chevy S10 with 20,000 miles
on it and wear New Hampshire.
I love this thing already.
It's a four cylinder manual.
Freaking beautiful little truck.
Oh, I like this a lot.
Oh, it's so simple.
Oh, it has the cloth buckets in it.
Now that's, oh, yeah, that's a nice feature.
Well, now that looks that could be a jumper seat right there in the middle.
Hard to tell.
Yeah, I think you put that center console up.
You could maybe get a third person in there.
Yeah, probably not a jump seat in the middle.
No, that looks way too tight.
Maybe.
No, but to have buckets, that's.
Well, clearly it's never been used as a truck.
That thing is the bed is pristine.
That is for a 2000 model year truck.
25 years old, there is not a scratch on the bed of it.
Painted bed.
That's insane.
It has a mirror finish.
Yeah, that thing's pretty impressive.
I'd buy that for, they're asking 15.
I'd buy that for four.
Well, yeah, this is an interesting number you've pulled up here.
Oh, yeah, this, this is what I thought of you Ian.
So this is an Alfa Romeo and Alfetta, 79 Alfetta Alfa Romeo.
It's in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
I see that it's just it's right down the road for me.
Oh my gosh.
Yeah, 96000 original miles.
It's.
Nice silver color.
I actually, I kind of like the wheels.
Wow, look at that.
They've actually put some work in there.
They put a lot of, oh, with the brown leather.
Nice.
Oh, the woods.
The manual.
Yeah, it is a manual.
Oh, look at that instrument cluster.
Oh, that is cool.
I like the center stack in the middle and speedometer.
Right. No, TAC is in the.
Well, TAC is right in front of you and the speedometer is speedometer.
Odometer is on the center stack with all the other gauges.
That's cool.
Oh, my gosh.
Yep, that's a real driver's car right there.
You get the tack front and center.
Oh, you just know that thing's begging to be revved up.
Oh, heck yeah.
Yeah, maybe I'll go check it out.
Just take 10 grams and go buy that thing.
I don't even need that much.
It's like seven.
Although I need three grand just to probably give it what it needs.
Yeah, well, I was just thinking probably need three grand to make it home.
We'd probably break down the two mile trip.
Probably that is likely.
So now.
Now, next one I think we're looking at.
Yeah, 65 Mustang convertible.
This thing has been modified substantially.
Seriously modified.
I do like the dark red paint, though.
Sixty five pony case.
You nice license plate in case you were wondering.
Well, I want to get back to the interior.
That almost looks like maybe Fox body Mustang seats in it.
You know, it does cloth.
Quite the interesting interior.
I guess I kind of like the way they've got the dash.
They have steering wheel.
Yeah, this is a very custom Mustang right here.
Wow.
And is that a motor that is that a 302?
Boy, that's got a different crate motor in it.
And that's like crammed in there like the strut tower brace.
So yeah, 302.
Yeah.
Oh, it has a the the Tremac five speed originally six cylinder.
This OK, so we did change the suspension 302.
Oh, well, that's going to we'll just go over to my next favorite.
Oh, my God.
This is in my wheelhouse.
This is one that we are both very interested in a 2002 Volkswagen Euro van
passenger van.
Now we're talking bright red.
Look at this thing.
Freaking load the kids up.
Oh, no, it unfolds into a bed.
Oh, oh, my gosh.
The ultimate road trip vehicle.
Just look at this thing.
Oh, my God.
Too bad it's automatic.
Thank you.
You in this beaster, though.
Yeah, this is this thing's amazing.
This isn't good shape for 200,000 miles.
Amazing.
And this says this has the VR six, doesn't it?
Is this a six cylinder?
So Colorado red exterior.
I like that color a lot.
Yeah, that's that is a very nice ring.
And they use that.
They really used it a lot of trips.
Up they updated it with carplay and everything.
I've got all the amenities.
Oh, look, they've got the cards set up on the card table.
Oh, do they?
Oh, that's awesome.
They've got it.
They've got it staged and everything.
They've got old made ready to go.
Very nice.
It's in really good shape.
It appears to be for having well over 200,000 miles.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, another one of my favorites.
I saw it off the bat on Craigslist around New Hampshire.
Seventy Camaro and Wolfbro.
Yeah, that's a nice looking car.
I like that bronze brown.
Brown. Yeah, you don't see that.
Very often over a 10 interior.
Very nice.
That's a nice looking car, like the manual aspect.
I thought it might be a crate motor or it's been rebuilt,
but it's got upgraded plugs and wires on it.
Looks pretty clean.
Power brakes, new exhaust.
That looks like a nice driver right there.
Yeah, that's a beauty.
Seventy SS Camaro.
The SS.
Look at the exhaust just pouring out of it.
It's burbly.
I can hear it.
It has a period correct 350, not the original.
OK, Muncie four speed.
That's probably correct.
Oh, it's got a 12 bolt lock in here in.
I like that.
Go do some doughnut.
I like the color combo a lot.
That really, really works.
Oh, yeah, that's very pretty.
The sun hits it.
That's just gorgeous.
Oh, this one.
This one I picked for you.
This is your car right here.
Yeah, 1997.
Drum roll, Honda Del Sol.
Yeah.
That.
Look at that.
Wow.
That is like Scream's Pontiac Fiero, but Honda.
But Honda's take on it.
I mean, I do admit I have a bit of a soft spot
for these cars because they're so ridiculous.
Yeah, the trunk is gigantic.
Actually, now I look at it.
It really does almost look like a mini El Camino.
I also appreciate that they spelled it Sol
as in Sol of your shoe, S-O-L-E, in the title.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, it looks like it's been at the bottom
of someone's shoe for a little while.
Yeah.
The car is not in very good shape.
No, it's, and it's got 190,000 miles on it.
But hey, you know, it's garage, not using four years,
no rust, new battery, good tires, and clutch.
Needs a cleaning.
I mean, you caught it.
Hey, if you wanted a fun little car to knock around town,
what the heck, right?
And then let's see.
Oh, what did you find here?
Oh my God.
I really, I'm not a huge Ford guy,
but I love Ford Torino's.
Yeah, there was that one at the car show that.
Oh, yeah.
Beautiful.
I do.
You find one of those with a 428, which this one has,
1969 Torino GT, 428 Cobra Jet,
oh, it's in Gosstown.
It needs, looks like it needs a little bit of a restoration,
but someone has started working on it.
And, you know, they're starting it up, right?
Getting it running, getting stuff going,
but I just, that's a beautiful car.
Oh, with the four speed.
Bench sheet.
Bench sheet of the four speed.
You can't beat that, that is just awesome.
Oh, this is a good spec.
Wow.
Oh yeah, look at all the parts.
Got a lot of extra parts with it.
This person's right in the middle of redoing it.
One of 582 produced with a factory R code,
428 Cobra Jet, Ram Air Motor, and a four speed.
Has the Marty report, which for the listener,
that is a report that you can pay for.
That is a specialized Ford report
that will tell you exactly based on the VIN,
what the Ford is that you're supposed to have,
and all the options that came from the factory,
and bill of sale copies, all that very valuable service.
So if this car really is everything it says,
then this is a real car.
It's a real deal.
Oh yeah, definitely needs, it looks like it right now.
It's just really down to body work
from the pictures that we're seeing.
They got to paint it and maybe re-chrome it
and fix a couple little rough spots,
but that would be an amazing car.
Yeah, I mean, we just wind up that motor
with that big four speed of that.
Oh, that sounds so good.
Sounds so good.
That's my favorite combo is a giant car
with a big block and a four speed,
pretty much anything like Ruby.
Let me do this.
I'm just going to do what you and I really want.
I'm looking for all those.
With a manual.
Oh my God, a 240 wagon with a five speed.
I've looked at this one before.
It has some modifications too,
such as a stage three racing clutch.
So a 240 wagon five speed.
It's a New Hampshire, five grand, 200,000 miles on it.
Is it actually a rear wheel drive?
I thought they were front wheel drive.
No, the 240s are rear wheel drive.
It was the 850 when they shifted to front wheel.
So this is actually a rear wheel drive car.
Like for 200,000 miles, it doesn't look that big.
It doesn't look that big.
It presents well.
Yeah.
Does that say, oh my gosh,
wait, the strut tower brace says need for swede.
Yes, it does.
Yes, it does.
That is fantastic.
Yep.
Nice bright yellow across the strut tower brace.
Need for swede.
That is incredible.
Yep.
Wait, how much does five grand?
I'm almost thinking, wow, Mike almost could justify.
It's got a custom drift e-brake control setup.
I gotta read this ad because this guy is crazy awesome.
All right.
Brand new Brake pads rotors all the way around.
Just did a full tune up.
I have the original seats and steering wheels,
new fuel send it, brake fluid.
Okay, here we go.
Car runs and drives 100%.
Goes down the road smoothly.
Daily driver, bring it to the track.
Custom drift e-brake control setup.
Stage three racing clutch.
Extra set of wheels too.
Deliveries available anywhere after payment paid.
That is insane.
Could you imagine taking that on track?
Going out onto like a track
and then just drifting around a corner with it.
That would be the coolest thing I've ever seen.
I think that Volvo 240.
Wow, Brandon, do we just find my track car?
I am bookmarking that one.
Just, you know, in a weak moment in the middle of the night,
I may wake up and be like,
I have to buy a Volvo 240 wagon with a five speed.
Have to buy this.
I also love the hella lights on the front.
That really, really makes it.
Oh my gosh.
That's a rally car.
And we have the deer scare offer front.
Is that a front camera or one of those whistle things?
You see what I'm looking at?
I do see that.
I don't know what that is.
Like it makes me think like,
you know those things like you stick on your bumper
and then it creates like that high-pitched whistle
when you're driving.
Oh, does it?
Scared deer away?
No, I didn't even know that was a thing.
Yeah, it's either camera or it's that.
We can't tell.
Not a clear enough picture.
But yeah, that I think it's pretty epic.
It actually is.
I think it's actually amazing.
Oh my God.
Wait a minute.
Wait a minute, friend.
Listen, no.
Oh my God.
I found a car that I used to have or really full.
Wait.
Yes.
It's not the one I used to have.
The interior is too dark.
It's pretty darn close.
Well, I was going to say that because that's the same color
in the same rims.
So it's a 2004 Volvo C70 convertible with a five-speed,
which if you listen to some of our previous episodes,
that was a car that I really regretted that got away.
Yeah, in fact, it's the exact same color.
Oh, it's beautiful.
Absolutely beautiful.
Just look at it.
I just love it.
But yeah, it's a little different.
The one that I sold had a light tan seats in it,
a tan interior.
This is black or like charcoal.
So, oh, they even have the original window sticker
for that 04 Volvo.
Wait, we got to see.
What was this baby knew?
I'm having a hard time reading this.
Is that say, 42,565?
Can you confirm that?
Yes, it does.
I can confirm that.
Holy crap, 42,5 in 2004.
That was a high-end car in 2004.
That is...
Wow, that was an expensive car in 2004.
Look at that.
Amazing.
Oh, and then for the color, for Ian,
455 is the code, and it's titanium gray metallic.
Oh, yep, that's very Volvo.
Originally sold to Lexington, Kentucky,
Quintrell Cadillac Inc.
Huh, crazy, that is cool.
I love that, the original window sticker.
Oh, my God.
Oh, I just want it so bad.
I want to buy them all.
It's terrible.
It's got two sets of keys in the valet key.
That's always a good sign.
Oh, my God.
Looks like, yep.
It hasn't been just sitting in the sun,
you know, baking the seats.
That's a clean car, that, yeah.
I'm definitely bookmarked that one.
Oh, yeah.
All right, all right, that was a good one.
That was a trip down memory lane.
So I'll be calling them after I get off the call here.
All right, now listeners, we are fully steeped
in Volvo at this point in the episode where now...
This is another Ian one right here.
And this is an early car.
Looking at a 1971 Volvo 142e in Vermont.
I mean, this is such a Vermont car.
Look at that.
I love the color on that.
It's like a gold-ish brownish.
Oh, yeah, it's a four-speed.
It's only at two owners.
Oh, it's a Gorge.
I love the dash.
Wow.
Love the gauges on that.
Very cool, very cool car.
Yep.
It's in Vermont.
It's a manual.
This is like, what a cruiser.
Oh, my God.
Two owners, graduating winter months for the past 30 years.
Look at that, the 2.0.
Oh, man, only 70,000 original miles on it.
That's amazing.
That's nothing.
Oh, my gosh.
Oh, yeah, they put some work into it
to give it some, make a handle better.
Oh, yeah.
More reliable.
Those chains.
That's a beauty.
Boy, if there's any listener looking for a 71-142e,
this is the one.
This thing is Kaleen.
I like it a lot.
All right, I'm gonna bookmark that one.
You can buy that.
Yeah.
I think I might have to.
Yeah, all right, that's well.
Oh, look at the 1800.
I love the body lines on a Volvo 1800.
Oh, my God.
All right, so let's pull that one up.
72 Volvo 1800, yes.
In Portland, Maine, 17.5.
Look at that.
Four speed, bright red in all its though.
Just such a nice look at the vehicle.
I love the way the glass goes.
And you see that body line?
It's like just below the window.
And it comes back and curves down the tail light.
I love that feature.
I just think that is stunning.
That is a great look.
Oh, this thing is.
It is very clean.
Very clean.
Well, cat.
Yeah, I love the rims too.
And this thing, actually, if you look at the,
this thing has IPD exhaust, Bilstein socks, shocks,
sway bars, so thing.
Oh yeah, they put a lot of work into this too.
Whoa, it's tuned.
Oh my gosh, they tuned it.
Oh yeah.
Yeah, they put a lot of work into this Volvo.
That is beautiful, 147,000 miles on it, 17.5.
Yeah, that's impressive.
That is a nice Volvo.
Oh, I like this.
I just noticed that, TJ.
Sahara 99 Wrangler XJ.
Sahara 92,000 manual.
No, I'm sorry, manual.
Manual.
Yeah, yeah, gotta correct it there.
It's not a manual, it's a manual.
Yeah.
According to the listing, yep.
I mean, that does make it rare if it's a manual.
Yeah, I have never heard of a manual.
I have never seen one before tonight.
Yeah, what color is that, Ian?
It's like gold.
Oh, with the two-tone green, what is that color?
I'm on the case.
Yeah, look that up.
Yep, I do like the two-tone,
are those seat covers or is that factory?
No, that is factory with those green and tan.
That was a signature Sahara trim level feature.
Interesting, but I do like it's got the 4.0,
the straight six, it's got the five-speed, 92,000 miles.
I mean, it actually looks extremely clean,
like extremely clean, but that gold,
that is kind of throwing me.
That is quite the gold color.
So that is Desert Sand Pearl Coat.
Oh, okay, it definitely can see the pearl in it.
Very pretty, very pretty, it pops, that's for sure.
Yeah, I like that a lot.
That would be a fun beach cruiser.
Oh my gosh, yeah, if I were to get a TJ,
it would be something like this,
and it would need to be a Sahara for those seats.
And that's actually, I'm actually surprised,
they're asking 10 grand,
that doesn't seem that bad.
No, I feel as though that could be on cars and bids
for twice that, or less than a 100K.
100,000 miles.
Yeah, I mean, my gut would have said like 15,000,
they'd be asking, but I mean, you never know.
I mean, it's one of those things
where you just, you'd have to go look at it.
You know, in person and see
there might be something wrong with it,
or you know, Carfax, as the Odomar has been rolled back,
it's got 450,000 miles on it.
All right, we've got here a SOB 93, the 2.0 turbo,
Sport Comdy wagon, six-speed, the anniversary edition.
I can't remember what year the anniversary was.
I think it was oh, six or seven.
Oh yeah, 2007.
Oh, see, now this, I love this.
I love when people take this approach to the ad.
So I'm going to read how they wrote the ad.
Yes, indeed, my friends,
the legendary turbocharged sport wagon from SOG,
complete with a peppy six-speed manual transmission
and limited edition in Bosnia, the interior.
Cars in great shape at its age.
I purchased it in the summer of 2022
from its second owner.
He used it as a daily drive on Boston from 2019
to the time I purchased it.
Before that, it was owned by one older gentleman
in New Hampshire to create their care of it.
During its time as daily drive on Boston,
it clipped in some dings in some other way,
including the suspension.
During that time, it also had the clutch rebate.
So I just love when people do that
because it's given the story, you know,
we're all about the story here at Life Plus Cars.
Yep, and I do appreciate that this particular ad
put a lot of effort into highlighting known issues
with the car, which is also something
I very much appreciate, you know,
honesty with car sales and representing a car
is a big deal.
So if you're looking for a 2007, 93 wagon,
that might be a good one to get.
All right, now we're going to do one
of my favorite searches on Craigslist,
which Ian will know exactly what I'm looking for.
Because he sees my search criteria.
Yep.
All right, there we go.
Wow, I don't know how many miles are on this,
but 40 grand is for a truck.
So I searched for 8.1 liter
because as a listener knows,
I love my suburban with the 8.1.
I always try to find them.
There is a 2006 GMC Sierra three-quarter ton
with the 8.1, 78,000 virtual miles for sale at this place.
And they're asking $38,000 for it.
Now, I think that's ridiculous.
But at the same time, when you put it in perspective,
a brand new three-quarter ton truck like this,
that's a crew cab, long bed, leather, heated seats,
all nine yards, it's like a hundred grand.
Yes.
So I guess it's all perspective, right?
But still, it's like,
you are still talking about almost a 20-year-old vehicle.
It doesn't even have leather, it's cloth.
It doesn't have a console.
Geez, it is clean though.
That's probably one of the cleanest undersides
in the truck I've ever seen.
Yeah, I think these guys are out west.
Yeah, but I mean, like that,
like if they were asking like 25,
like that would be sold tomorrow.
This is another one of my, you know, like an older car,
not a huge Chrysler friend or Plymouth,
but I just love these, 1970 Plymouth Suburban.
Yeah, and that was their wagon of the time.
Oh, interesting.
And all those things are so cool.
I mean, you know, they competed with like the LTD
and like, you know, the Impala wagon
and Pontiac Safari, stuff like that.
But yeah, they're very unique car.
You could get those if I remember right.
This one has the 318 in it was the base motor,
but you could get the 360 if I remember right.
And you might have been able to get the,
no, not the 360, the 440,
you could have got the 440 in it,
which would have been, oh my God.
I would be all over that if it was a 440.
Yeah, now I like this as we get a 79 Bonneville Broome.
Look at that.
Wow, yeah, it's the like,
it's the Cadillac equivalent of Bonneville.
Oh yeah, let's go get the nice Velour seats in there.
Yep, so 80s, just screams 80s, fake wood everywhere.
Yep, classic with the, yeah, with the Landao roof.
Oh, look at this, I love this.
Catalina, I love it.
Wow, big old boat convertible, love it.
65 Catalina convertible, $5,500.
Original Catalina runs and drives.
Well, it could use a top and body, look at that.
It's got the, it's automatic.
See, I like, you can kind of see it here, Ian.
This is what I like about these 65, 66,
like the two plus two, the Catalina, the Bonneville,
the gauges, like it's got the big sweeping gauge
and it's got these nice big round ones in the middle,
like above the radio and the, I love those.
That is such a great look.
Oh, it's just so classy.
Beautiful car.
Yeah, it can't be the big old boat convertible.
Yeah.
Oh, yeah, it's, it comes with some panels.
Yeah, this one definitely needs some, it's a little rough.
Yes, it definitely needs some, some repairs,
which I mean, that's reflected in the price.
If that wasn't good, that'd probably be 20 grand or so.
Yes.
But I'll tell you right now is one thing you take away,
tell the listener,
is it's better to buy him done or close to done,
spend the money like his boy.
It takes a lot of time to fix cars up.
Oh, here we go.
67 GTO numbers matching survivor.
What do we got?
42,000 miles on it.
It's original 400 and turbo hydromatic 400.
Power machine, power brakes.
Well, there you go, that's just a gentleman's cruiser
right there.
Oh, look at that blue interior.
Oh my God.
Oh, that's great.
Oh, it's got AC, it's a factory here?
No, he must have added it.
It has interior.
Oh, it says it has full PHS documentation.
Oh, it is factory here.
Oh, see now that, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
And if this is a real GTO,
the fact that this car has the shifter,
even for the automatic is on the column,
is extremely rare.
Very, very rare.
Wow.
So that is very cool, very cool.
I'm surprised they're only asking that much.
Well, it's like the ad said it's a survivor.
So it hasn't been restored or if it has been messed with,
it might have been painted or something like that.
But like that car, the way that sits right now,
just looking at the pictures,
like I would buy that close to what he's asking for
and just drive it, just drive the hell out of it.
Absolutely, what a great driver.
It wouldn't, like you fix little things here and there,
but you wouldn't have to go crazy on restoring it
or painting it or whatever.
It's like just enjoy the dang thing.
But it's not rusty at all.
No, it came from Idaho.
Yeah.
And it's got everything you'd want.
One of those, it's got power steering,
power brakes, factory air, I mean, automatic.
I mean, I'd love a four speed,
but automatic, you just drive, bookmark that one.
Might have to call that guy.
Take a trip down to Long Island.
I will trade you a 2005 SOB 93.
Yeah, it's great up.
Oh, no, I tried searching for Morris Miners.
We didn't find any folks.
No more, they are few and far between, if any.
Search a wider area.
How big of an area can I search?
Nationwide.
I want nationwide.
Come on, Craigslist.
Morris Miner.
Oh, okay.
Oh, 59, 1,000 convertibles, 68 Traveller.
All right, so the 59 Morris Miner 1,000 convertible.
How are we feeling about this here?
Oh my gosh, wow.
25 grand, huh?
25 grand, don't look so nice.
Look at the staged photos with this.
Southern mansion in Atlanta.
That's amazing.
Oh, the red interior.
Oh my gosh, that was like the interior that I had on the 1960.
Yeah, that's same, that's same color.
Yep, gonna see a lot of similarities.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, it's bringing me right back.
Oh, yeah, you can see the title.
The Pringle.
The Pringle pedals, there they are.
Yes.
Oh my gosh, and the tiny little gear shift, too.
And a gigantic steering wheel.
Yep, yep.
It's interesting, it has like the frames for the windows
are like there.
Yes, they, right, like those are fixed.
Okay, interesting.
That's part of the, this car has been totally redone.
It is very, very nice, it presents very well.
All right, let's search for some V12s.
Oh yeah, you know, get rid of manual.
I want to find the V12.
Also, I want to update the location, because it's.
Oh yeah, it's like pretty much nationwide, but that's fine.
Yeah.
We want to see more cars.
I mean, I'll travel anyway for the right car.
That's true.
Okay, 95 XJS V12.
Yeah, no, we'll stay away from those.
Oh, we have some CL600s here, SL600, ooh, that 05.
This is right where my eye was drawn immediately, F65 AMG.
Oh, this is a bracer of a car.
Oh, it's got the Rentec tune on it.
Yeah, that's.
That's like a hundred or like almost $200,000 car new.
Mm-hmm.
Oh my God, it's crazy.
Wow, just think of the power.
Think of the smoothness.
That is an auto bond bomber right there.
Oh, it's amazing.
Wow, it came from Mercedes Benz of Beverly Hills.
Of course it did.
Amazing.
Yep, I do an S65 AMG or an SL65 AMG.
Two Mercedes that I would absolutely own.
Ooh, my 98 750.
And we're talking.
Look at this.
I just love the look of those.
Oh God, beautiful car.
A little dense, white, tan interior, classic combo.
Definitely looks like it's from 1998.
Look at that.
Look at that engine, oh my gosh.
Yeah, it's awesome.
Absolutely awesome.
That's when you know you've made it,
when you get your 750 IL.
210,000 miles on it, isn't that amazing?
It's still running and driving
and it's been well loved, man.
Good for them, you know, you just drive the darn thing.
Oh yeah.
Oh wait, oh no.
Gonna do this to me, Brendan.
Yeah.
R8s.
Yep, Ian's dream car.
Here we go.
210 R8 gated manual, 88.5.
There you go.
You could afford that.
88.5, sure.
Yeah, yeah.
It's just a payment, man.
26,000 miles on it, you know.
Does it have?
Oh man, I do like the look of those.
Oh God.
To screams performance.
And it's such a timeless design.
It is, it's beautiful.
My God.
They've aged so well.
I mean, they still, they still look brand new.
Yep, let's get the gated shifter.
Oh my God, the gated six speed,
that's the only way with the mid-mounted V8.
Oh, it's beautiful.
Practically showroom conditioning.
Yep, that's the one.
But mark that, that's free.
Yep, and I love it.
It's in my Audi silver.
Love that silver.
Ooh, 9,100 NSX, oh my God.
Oh, with the period Vogue or work wheels, I think.
What's up in Canada?
Winnipeg.
Boy, that is beautiful.
Wow.
Yeah, this thing is well, oh, it's a JDM model.
Right hand drive.
Yeah, you talk about a timeless design.
That is, that's up there.
That is one nice looking car.
I like this one with those,
and like the period correct wheels.
Oh yeah, that was like on your College Wall posters
right there.
Yep, beautiful car, beautiful car.
Yep, yep, so there you go, you go on Craigslist
and you look around for some cars
and it's amazing the thing that you can find.
You just put some time into it.
That's right, it's fun to just poke around,
dream a little bit.
We've talked a little bit about cars we have a soft spot for
and dream cars, cars we currently own, have owned.
Yeah, you can just chase any rabbit trail that you want
when it comes to Craigslist.
Oh yeah, I mean, I look at it too like the takeaway for me
just looking at it with you just now is,
if your budget's five grand or less
you could spend more than like 25 grand.
It's like, there's a car for everyone out there.
I mean like, I'm really considering calling the people
with that 04 C70 and just talking to them about it.
Right, since you have that history with that car
or had one like it.
Yeah, and then you're gonna buy that 240
that was built up for drifting and racing.
For five?
And you're gonna go drift that.
I think for five grand, I mean,
it's good, I don't think it would be such a laugh.
Oh my gosh.
Yeah, that would, I would, like I said,
I would love to see that just drifting around the corner.
Just someone just goes to a track and they're just.
That just, he like, what?
The tires are just absolutely screaming on like.
Yeah, in a Volvo 240 wagon, what?
That would be amazing.
Because I mean, like you expected out of stuff
like the CTSV wagon and like the super high performance wagons,
but like something like that, they'd be like,
what is happening?
And you were just hooning that thing around the track.
Oh my gosh, yeah.
So there you go.
Yeah, there you go listeners.
What do you think?
Should we have more episodes where we find Craigslist cars
and search it up?
We certainly had fun.
Oh yeah.
I mean, you know, the fun part would be, right?
If we could actually grow to the point
and then also have the funds available
and almost do like a derriery thing,
where it's like we're going to find the cheapest,
you know, six speed manual that's not rusty
within like 500 miles and then we're just gonna go buy it.
We're just gonna go get it.
Yep.
Yeah.
Life plus cars challenge.
Yeah, exactly.
