the our main fire discussion though. We have
not a lot of housekeeping today. No It's

don't know what to say.

Talk to us a little bit more about Ultimate 9.
Yeah. Ultimate 9. We talked a little bit
about it in the last episode. Mh.
Australian company, they make a lot of stuff for vehicle Ec stuff, vehicle management stuff, So they make a throttle controllers. They make, battery
sensors, so you can monitors, battery monitors. Okay.
They make Ob 2 readers.
Kinda scan gauge? Oh, yeah. They make...
Let's see, readers, actual readers that are like, they'll read codes off of your Ec and not just give you real life data, but then also tell you what that code could be, and know all that stuff that you that kind of stuff. So they do a lot of
lot of things for vehicle Ec management stuff. And they're on a australian
company, though. So they're they're big in Australia.
They did some great great products, and they have a wide selection and wide availability in Australia.
But they're not really known here in the states at all. Yeah. And it's really difficult
to get their products in the states.
Okay.
Because there are couple of sales channels here in the states, have not done a good job, and ultimate 9 has been a very disappointed in the activity that their sales channels have done here. The distributors in the states have done.
So we talked with them, and we've been talking with them for a while, pretty much since Oz went on the Rub trail with 4 wheel drive 24 07:01 of the head guys from Ultimate 9 was on that trip. Oh, cool. So they were
talking about throttle controllers and And when Oz came back, he was telling me about auto controllers. I was like, yeah,
I know about auto control them. They're they're
decent. They're they're a fun idea, but, like,
I don't know how...
I can't if I wouldn't use 1 myself, I can't foresee us selling them kind of thing. Sure. And so he kept bugging me
about it, bugging me about. And I was,
you know, I don't think it's what's the right market for it. And I don't I
don't know it was really just me, not wanting to get into it because I didn't see the all lure to them. You're
being naive. Yeah. I was being naive. And
so finally, I was like, you know what fine. Let's sit down with the guys from
Ultimate 9. They could tell me about their
products.
And we'll see what they do and they framed it in a way of off road.
And what throttle controllers can do for off road. Got it. Okay. And that's when it
clicked. Sure. I was like,
I kinda wanna do an engine swap on the 4 runner now to do a drive by wire engine, so I can have a throttle controller in the 4 runner. Wow.
That's like how a house sold I am on auto controllers for operators. Dang. Okay. So
they didn't make any 3 4 swap or 3 fours with, drive by wire. I think they did, like,
late 2002 maybe have electronic throttle, but I don't know for sure. Yeah. Or if it's even swap
able. Yeah. I might just have to put
an Ls in or something.
Bummer.
Man. So anyways, it's it... Throttle control for
off road are actually very very handy.
And Oz has had 1 on the Jl.
A auto controller on the jail. He's been
running the E for a few months now.
And having it being able to especially in snow wheel. Right? Because snow wheel has all
sorts of different types of traction.
And you can... 1 minute just need your
tires to respond quick and you need to get them going fast so that you can build momentum.
Yeah. And there's other times when you don't
wanna slip your tires at all.
And if you slip your tires, you immediately start digging a hole and create little ice slick underneath your the hole. So there's a lot of different
scenarios even within 1 trip where you could...
We're having something to control your throttle input.
Is a very valuable thing.
So I was sold on the idea of throttle controllers and all the features that 9 has, there's more features in it than any of the throttle control on the market at a better price point. Okay? Than the
other throttle controls in the market. There's only
really 2 in the United States.
Pedal. Pedal commander banks.
Okay. And Pedal commander is a very very
basic throttle controller.
They're kind of have turned into the Ja for me. Like, they they were freely first
to the scene first to really make the market popular Yep. And so they they were... I don't
wanna say first to market, but they were first to make the market popular.
And therefore, everybody, a lot of people who have auto controllers have pedal commanders.
But there is only, like, 3 to 5 settings. Yeah. I don't know,
pedal commander. Yeah. I think maybe they went
up to or something Something like recently Yeah.
Like, they have not done really anything to better the technology and better their product. They're
just they're relying on the brand name to make all their sales, which is in my opinion, all that Ja has been doing.
The there's been leaps and bounds made in Lithium ion technology since Ja came on the market, and they just haven't really been implementing a lot of that at all. They've just been
relying on the name. Okay. Whereas, like, other
companies like Wagon tech, Blue eddie. They're doing
some really cool portable lithium battery stuff, and Ja is falling way behind, but they keep making a ton of sales because of Ja. Right. So that's
kinda of the same story pedal commander might opinion.
And so, ultimate 9, I love...
Probably my favorite thing about Ultimate nines as the packaging of it. It's super tiny. Super
tiny. You can put it anywhere, and it
doesn't... It doesn't... It's not gonna take up
space on your dash. It's not going to
get in the way, but it's also, like, my... 1 of my issues with banks was
that they didn't really have a touch me thing to change the settings on the throttle controller.
Right. You really had to do it through
your phone. Yeah
dash Or the I dash. You had to
have an I dash if you wanted a touchy interface. Yes. Whereas ultimate 9,
comes with a touchy interface that's super small, really slick slim lined very simple easy to use interface, or there is a Bluetooth app on the E x. The extra 1 as
well. That has even more features on it.
So it's really cool. I'm really happy with
what Ultimate 9 is doing in that space.
They just... They're not doing it in the
United States, and I don't think there's really anybody going after the off road market. Sure.
In the Us for good auto controllers. Yeah.
So I'm hoping that more foot can help fill that niche and do some cool stuff with ultimate 9 here in the states. Nice.

Of the technology to be like, oh, yeah.
This is actually really cool stuff. Yeah.
Yeah. That's too applicable to operating stuff. So
for sure.
Well, yeah. That's cool. I'm excited to be
able to hopefully test 1 of those in the near future, Mh. And be able to
give a report as well about my experiences, and whoever wins 1 of them can phone in to our snail mail episodes and give us their feedback as well. Yeah. For

What is that? Is this piece of mail

not, but we can talk about this. Oh,
I wanted to talk about it on Thursday, but, Thursday's episode went long We did a lot of stuff. So I did wanna talk
about this though. Okay. If we're pointing that
out. No. It is not the secret. Oh,
and I still cannot tell the secret.
But it's the same secret that I've been teasing about. Okay. But this isn't it. This
is not it. Okay. What is this? This
here is a cool letter from blue Ribbon coalition. Okay?
Doing god's work out here for us. So
Blue Ribbon Coalition, if you guys are not familiar, we're big supporters as a blue room collision coalition here on the podcast. They do
a lot of work fighting litigation, specifically, litigation and lost stuff to help keep our trails open, nationwide.
So they put out kind of a newsletter.
Okay. In snail mail. What? Yeah. Oh, you
mean actual mail. Actual, like, paper mail. Yeah.
Rather than an email. Right? Yeah. So I
thought it was kinda cool because it it has some great pictures of the areas. That
they're talking about here and some of the big wins that they've made, just in like, the all these things, I think all concluded this year. Wow. So they've
been extremely busy.
And I know that their donations, their ben have really stepped up in donating money to Blue urban Coalition. And this is proof
that money in the hands of blue ribbon coalition does some pretty awesome stuff. Awesome. Alright. So
you're gonna read a few of them. I'm
gonna give you highlights. Okay. Some of them.
The first 1 here we've talked about is the third 1865.
That's 1365 miles of trails saved in Grand view Idaho. Yes.
Accept that 1. Mh. That was really the
big 1. That was, like, eye opening
that should tell every single outdoor recreational list that if we band together, we can put a stop to 30 by 30.
We can put a stop to this locking up of lands for quote unquote wilderness lands.
So that essentially was happening. The process in
Grand view Idaho was the same exact process the B was trying to do that they did in Gemini bridges in Moa.
And so the same process that's going on in the San swell right now. Okay? And
so the the process was opened up they gave a couple... I think it was, like,
Abc BCD options for travel management plans, and how many miles of routes that they were gonna be eliminating based on each plan. Right. And which miles
they were which routes they were, etcetera. And
blue Ribbon coalition put out a call to the people the off road recreational, outdoor recreational saying, this is bullshit.
We should not be losing these lands. There's
no reason for them to be closing these routes other than a 30 by 30 agenda kind of thing.
Otherwise, there's no good reason to be closing these These are all used. People still use
them all There's no re... The the, like,
there's no reason to be doing this. Okay.
And the public came out in force during the public comment period.
And since the public comment period, the B in Grand view Idaho went back on all the options, the travel management options, and their redo the travel management options again now to come up with something else.
Than what they offered. Right? Sure. So that's
that's the big, big win in my opinion, that proves to the industry that if we come together as a group of people that use and enjoy the outdoors, we can do a lot politically.
Absolutely. So we just have to unite and
come together. We have to unite. We gotta
stop being, and we gotta step up and start taking action. Yes. So that's that 1.
This 1. The next 1 is the West
Act. Oh,
so the West Act passed the house of representatives.
Which is pretty cool. So what the West
Act is we've talked a little bit about this now. We haven't really talked about the
West Act itself, but we've talked about what it's fighting. Okay. And it is fighting
a rule that in April, the B announced the lease of the final rule that would allow for the creation of conservation leases.
Alright. Yes. So this is the the call
conservation lease thing that allows the B to sell off public lands to private entities for any reason really, to have long term leases on it. Right.
So in theory, environmental groups that have a lot of money and a lot of backing, like Su, Yes. Could come in buy
huge chunks of B land and lock it off to everybody. Yes. So nobody would get
access to. Nope. Yep. Nobody would get access
to it. Also, the big concern here is
for large corporations, whatever it might be. Mh.
Could buy all these extra land, and then they could write it off as, like, they're more green friendly because trade program. Yeah cap.
Mh. You know, or whatever the, like, you
know, However, the companies write it off so that they have bit more green effect on the planet. Yep.
And they lock up the land and don't allow anybody to go on it because now it's their private land. Because now it's their private
land. They don't want the liability of people
getting injured on their land. Absolutely. So
stupid also. Yes. Exactly.
So that was... That that B
rule was getting fought through an act called the West Act. Okay. And the West Act was
introduced by representative John Curtis, and it passed through the house representatives with flying colors.
Wow. Yeah.
Okay. So,
blue ribbon coalition, I believe was working with John Curtis to help make the language for this and bring it to his attention and be like, this is going on. We can't
let this happen. And John Curtis was the
a representative that backed everything and instead up and is making it all happen now. Okay.
So it's through the house representatives, and it's going through Congress and work its way into the senate now. Wow. So if the West
Act passes, then, the B will be locked out of doing privatized leases to private entities. Okay. Using public plans. Good.
So anybody who's out there Gov visit the blue ribbon C coalition website, look search for the West Act, and they will have a way for you to message your senators in your state.
Saying specifically, please vote for the West act support the West act. So I actually did
this. Okay. And I got a reply from
1 of the senators in California. Oh, saying
thank you so much for caring about our outdoor lands. We are doing our best to
make sure that we can preserve 30 percent of the lands by 20 30.
From human destruction or whatever. And I was like, no.
No. You don't... That you totally misunderstood the
point of my letter. Yes. Did you write
him back. I did. I was like I
don't think you understood my letter. I think
you should go back and read it. I
think 30 by 30 is a a stupid rule. I think it needs to be bypassed,
locking up lands is not maintenance.
It is not managing, and all you're doing is making it so that people have fewer plates is to go, which then destroys other places due to dense population. Travel. Right. As I it's not sustainable,
Closure is not management. Closure is not an
answer. This we need to be able to
manage our man's our lands properly, not just lock them up from everybody. And
I never got to reply back from that 1. So
Anyways, support the West Act. 1 of the
cool things that Blue ribbon collision doing.
Looking ahead, Blue ribbon is fighting and they got an injunction. A court injunction
on the rule that states, anybody taking a picture or video, on national forest land, or I think B land too. I don't remember if it was
B included, but definitely national Forest. Yeah.
Us forest service land you would have to get a permit from the forest service to take a picture or a video. I know. That's ridiculous.
I think it was BM2 because now I'm thinking about it, 1 of the the reports that Blue ribbon was reporting on was there was a video being done by Kevin Cost.
Oh, recently, being shot out in Utah, and he went through all the permit processing, for for video production. Right? And he went
through all. He spent a lot of time
a lot of money. He had to have
extras staff on set to make sure that the lands were put back the way they should be. That nothing was being destroyed in
the first place. I'm sure you had a
couple oncologists on staff. Yeah. And
did everything within his power to make sure that everything was done properly, and he messed up some paperwork.
And they find him based on this new law that you are not allowed to take videos and images in public lands anymore without paying the land managers for it. That's crazy. So
he paid thousands if not hundreds of thousand dollars, definitely hundreds of thousands when you take into account the stat... Extra staff you had to
have on for the movie to shoot. Right.
And, Kevin Ko put out a public comment, something along the lines of it's really unfortunate that this happened. And because this is happening,
I guarantee you fewer and fewer movie producers and movie movies in general are gonna come to Utah to shoot movies in Utah. So is that
rule oli in Utah right now? No. It's
it's national land. Okay. It's National Public land.
And so there's a, a court has filed an injunction now to put a stop to that for now, and they're gonna be reviewing to see if they actually can do that legally.
And, blue ribbon is bringing that to attention of a lot of people right now. Yeah.
I mean, that hits home as a Youtuber.
Absolutely. That... Like, wait. So I can't go
out into nature and make a video at all. Mh. Without having to pay the
fines or file the proper paperwork and pay whatever they want me to pay to file the paperwork.
Mh. Which is just... Like, it's stupid. I
mean, it's a money grab. It's all it
is. Yeah money grab, and using public lands
to do a money grab, and I'm like, that's not the point of public lands you guys. Yeah. That's not what we should be
using these for. Yeah. If you need
funds to manage the lands properly. You need
more funding to manage them properly.
Then we need to be talking to Congress about that, not implementing new rules to really make life difficult on the users of those lands? Yes.
I... However, I think that they're just implementing
new rules to make it less likely for people to go to public lands. Therefore, if
people are going to public lands because it's a pain in the ass to do so because you have to get permits and all these other things all the time, then if people aren't using the lands anymore than they shut off the lands. They're like, oh, I
guess, one's using this anymore, we'll shut this area down, and that goes into 30 by 30. Yeah. So... Which is a bad thing.
Also. Mh. It's just it's negative on negative
for sure. Yeah. Great. And that's not a
positive. No. Yeah.
And so they're doing the legal challenge to the moa trail closures. In
the Gemini bridges area, and the...
Was a Gemini bridges and labyrinth rim. Yes.
So they're challenging that, on, that's going through courts right now and doing administrative review on it. The film permit challenge, which you just
talked about. The national monument legal challenge,
So they're challenging the abuse of the Anti Act right now. And the anti Act was
the ability to set up national monument lands based on areas of significant importance to historic history and historical value. Sure. And so they're concerned that
their people are just going to randomly set up a historical monument to lock the land down. Yep. Because that's what's happening?
Yeah.
So they're abusing the anti act in order to lock down land in order to achieve 30 by 30. And
so they're they're now in the tenth circuit court of appeals on that legal challenge right now. There's... Let's see There's
feedback on travel management plans, affecting recreation in new Mexico that they're fighting right now.

Yeah. Yep. Exactly. That's that same strategy being
played out in the Rockies right now. So
the operation accessible, and this is a big 1 that really impacts motorized recreation. Okay.
That blue ribbon has started spear heading right now.
And it is bringing to light that walking down public lands so that you cannot visit the lands.
Is extremely extremely biased. What's the right word for? I was
trying to think of it. Prejudice Prejudice,
against people with disabilities. Yeah. Like, there's a
ton of people and a trail hero did an amazing video explaining why trail hero was started in the first. Why that hero why that event was
started in the first place?
Because there's a lot of people coming back as veterans that they need their vehicles for 1 way or another, either mental Ptsd reasons, whether it's physical reasons, they need their vehicles in order to go out and enjoying rec recreate in the wilderness. And enjoying and recreating
in outdoors definitely has a positive impact on mental health.
Yeah. Mental to health and physical health. And
by locking up lands, closing down routes, closing down access to areas, we are telling disability, disabled people that we don't give a fuck about what they want to do with their recreation.
And so they are... Their... Their blue is making a
huge push right now to try and create a legal act, legal action that protects access v access to public lands, thanks to the American Disabilities Act Ada. Yeah.
Well, it makes complete sense. I mean, if
you have somebody that's wheelchair bound, they obviously can't get out into nature without some sort of vehicle. Yeah. Right? And unless
they have some crazy off road wheelchair Yeah. That is make
Well, does even mechanical doesn't even count. Right?
You have... I don't even think... I think
like a a motorized wheelchair? Would fall under
motorized recreation? Yeah. But what about a bicycle?
It a bicycle fall under, not motorized recreation, but let's I thought there was a mechanical aspect to it that, like, not even mechanical mechanical action of tires on soil or or or chain or something. So, like, you
know, I'm just... I'm trying to make a
leap here. Right? Obviously, I'm trying to say,
like, you have to have a crazy apparatus to be able to get somebody that is, like, a para Mh out into nature, where they wanna go.
Mh.
And by making the limitation of you can't take your vehicle out there is really restricting the access for these people. Yep. 100 percent.
And so you and I have ran into...
We... Every year, it seems like we run
into a couple of different para groups that are coming down the Rub on trail. Absolutely.
And they have vehicle set up so I can completely drive it just with using their hands. Yeah. Which is not. It's so cool.
Yeah. I I'm struggling just hold on to
the steering wheel at times that that they can shift and steer, and yeah. Use... Yeah.
It's it's crazy and it's Awesome. It is
pretty cool to see them out there and seeing how much of fun and enjoyment that they are getting and how much it just bright their moods because they can get out on Rub Trail being para.
It's so cool. And and by locking off
access to lands like this.
You're you're closing off access to those people it specifically.
Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely because I still
fortunately, have access of using my legs. Me
too. I can still
backpack or hike out to some places. Mh.
Where now if you lock down the land.
Take out the the routes, the route. The
vehicle routes that these people now cannot go out and enjoy the land. Mh. Like everybody
else. Mh. Yep.
So that... That's the next kinda of big
push that they're doing. They're big marketing, quote
unquote marketing campaign. Yeah. Is bringing to light
that all these trail closures is really impacting 1 specific class of society.
Yeah.
And it's it's not fair. It's not it's
not it's not the right move. II1
hundred percent agree. Yeah.

And this might, I don't... I I'm gonna
say this, and I absolutely don't mean to hurt any feelings.
But I also that it's...
I mean, I'm gonna say it. I'm gonna get some
backlash.
We're also now, like, we're fighting a 2 percent cause.
Or 1 percent cause. Sure.
For against a 99 percent majority. Yeah. Right? And
the question is, is that strong enough? Is that argument strong
enough? This... You're affecting 1 percent of the
people by making this closure? Mh. Where 99
percent of the people still go out there.
Mh. And I'm making a guess on the
percentage. I have no idea. Yeah.
Is that a strong enough argument? That's a
good question. I have no idea. I I
think that I mean it's a good argument.
It's a valid argument. Yes. Is it a
strong enough argument. That's a good question. I
don't know. Yeah. I don't know. Hopefully, it
is combined with everything else. Yeah. Like, I
think it just adds more. It adds to
the argument. That's we should not be at
shutting these down. Yeah. It adds putting fuel
on the fire. Yeah. At 100 percent. Yeah.
It it is it throwing twig or is it throwing at a around? Yeah You know?
That's that's the the question I have. Like,
I'm valid... I think it's a valid fight.
I think it's AAA wonderful argument. Mh. Is
it strong enough to make them think about it. Yeah. I don't know. I don't know
either. So well, why don't you tell people
what they can do how they can contact blue ribbon coalition. Let's let's go down that
little small rabbit hole, and then I don't know. Maybe maybe this is sent
to the episode.
Man, yeah. I don't... It's Blue ribbon and
coalition. There's there's a lot of great
organizations nationwide. Like, I've... We've talked about it
before. 1 of the things that I do
with More flight is if a, organization a club, off in club whoever comes to me and asked for raffle prizes? Yes.
I say, okay. Where the proceeds being donated
to? Mh. Usually, it's a veterans hospital, an
C, children's hospital, veteran organization, something like that. Yeah. I'm like, awesome.
Cool. Let's get some stuff to those people
as well as some proceeds.
But would you also consider a non trails advocacy organization? Because I wanna see funding get
back into our trails in this country. Right.
And a lot of times they're like, Didn't think about that. Yeah. We can totally do
that. I'm, like, awesome. They're, like, do you
have any ideas of all organizations. And so I'll find 3
options for them. I'll give them a, kind
of AAA local option, a regional option and a national option.
Right. And so I always for the national
option I'm recommending blue ribbon coalition, and I always give the caveat that. Blue ribbon is
really I don't wanna say the only 1 in the country, but it's the only 1 in the country that whose main sole focus is nationwide litigation.
Okay. I can see that. You've got you've
got, like, friends of Ocean Dune. Yeah. Their
main focus is litigation at Pi. Sure. And
then there's a couple other Cal 4, sometimes gets involved with litigation. Just depends on the
nationally. Yeah. Or is California.
California based litigation. So, like, Cor would be
a great regional 1. Mh. But I'm I'm kind of now
at the point where I've, in the past 6 to 9 months, I've been dealing quite a bit with government agencies in the Trail.
And unfortunately, diplomacy does not work great approaching these organize these entities these government agencies as a user group.
Okay. You really need to have,
substantial financial backing or be able to create amazing relationships with people, but the problem is that people retire. Yeah. Or change jobs or change
jobs. Mh. And then you have to create
all that over again, and spend all this. You have to spend
some 5, 7 years building a rapport with somebody at a government agency before they'll trust you to... To to interact with that government agency.
Yeah.
And so really, in my opinion the best way to ensure trails that we have trails in the future, is really through setting up litigation and and fighting lawsuits and implementing new laws to protect access nationwide, Yeah. And blue ribbon is really the only
1 doing that.
Okay. Mh. I could see that. I mean,
I've also... I've always thought
that supporting local is a good way to go.
Right? It's it's not a bad way. No.
For sure. No. And with you stating everything
that you just said. You know, it's, like,
local cares about local, and that's what I've always enjoyed. Right? Like, I
as, you know, as much as I can concern myself with what's happening to Moa. What's
happening in Idaho or any of the trails on the east coast or whatever it is.
You know, it's like, what really affects me is what's happening here in Sacramento general area.
Yeah. Mh. Right? And so Eye care,
drastically or dramatically, whatever the right word is about what is happening in my backyard. 100
percent. Right? Yeah.
And the... I've always figured that the local
people will help. Mh. They'll be the ones
that are gonna be the answer. Mh. But
it's not nowadays. It's not true. They're not
big enough. Yeah. They're not big enough to
make some of the changes come to the table with the force that you want. Yep.
You know, they'll come to the table, but they're coming to the table and they're supporting some of these bigger companies. Mh. That are
coming to the table to actually with the force to yep to make the difference. Yep.
And I think that's where blue ribbon is.
Yep. Blue ribbon is at force that, you
know, Cor and Cal wheel for us out here. Mh. Are supporting blue ribbon. Yeah. And
to and helping them because Blue Ribbons the force that they need to to help us keep whatever obstacles in our way to get it out of the way. Absolutely. And the other big
benefit to doing to focusing on national litigation forces is that the same thing that happens that we see all the time where something happens in California, and then that precedence is used nationwide.
In other areas.
So if we can get if we can get litigation that passes the senate.
And the house of... The house or representatives
passes through congress, then we can now apply that nationwide.
From 1 active legislation passing. Right. So, it's
it's it's... You get more sweeping
access, I guess, to be able to maintain access on our trails. Local stuff is
awesome. I don't think that there's we still
need organizations that fight locally. 100 percent. Mh.
We still need Room con trail Foundation. We
still need friends of Ocean Dune. We still
need still need local clubs helping out. We
absolutely clubs. Yep. They... We still need all that.
And so I... It's... But I've
I've come to the point in my life where like, I wanna focus on sweeping stuff. Yeah. Well, let me turn this around.
Okay. Okay. I'm ready. I'm I'm getting really
good at this. So, yeah, I'm gonna pull
it a Tara.

Who is coming at us to take the lands away.
Really environmentalists.
Yeah. People who think that
in 1 form or another that we are doing irr harm to the earth.
Therefore, we need to protect it at all costs. Right.
Absolutely. So that... That's their arc... That's their
argument. I'm trying to

It's not an individual coming after us. No.
Not at all. What kind of organization is
it? Sarah Club Su. It's it's very... It's
it's very rich backed organizations.
That have a lot of funding a lot of resources that are trying to put together passion projects because they care a lot. Yeah. And really, that's
what it comes down to. They're very passionate
about the outdoors as well, and they're they're very passionate about main making sure that we have a planet still.
Which I think is a very good thing to have. Yes, being the driving force, I
think that most off road overwhelming majority of our voters would also agree to that statement. Absolutely. I think that we
just disagree on how much impact we're really making to the planet, like, irr impact. I get that the whole plan is
warming up, it definitely is. There's there's scientific evidence that that is
happening. Yeah. And the fuck. He wave that
we're having all week. The heat wave this
week. We're gonna hit new records. I think
in that valley for global temperatures. Really? Yeah.
I think that's what they have that. And
you know what's funny. Is those records there
are gonna be idiots out there, suppress standing next to that sign with a brand new temperature of what it, like, a hundred and 30 something degrees...
We're gonna be, like, you're an idiot. Yeah.
Like, Yeah. Your 10 feet away is your
air conditioned car. I get it. Yeah. Like,
it is fucking hot. Why are you there? Yeah.
So I... Like... There's... We're definitely
warming up the planet. Mh. And the seasons
are becoming more stream because of this warming action.
There's no denying that.
I what I have issues with is people thinking that we need to preserve the planet in such a way that we remember it as that we know it as.
And my argument is that we don't fucking matter. Human beings don't matter at all on
this planet. Sure.
We are such a tiny speck of what this planet is about or has been about or has been about. We are such a
tiny speck of the life of this planet so far, that no matter, I don't think no matter what we do mother nature is a force.
And I don't think there's anything we can do that mother nature will not be able to bounce back from. It's just a matter
of whether or not we as human beings will be able to bounce back from it.
I could I could see that. But you're
at... So you're d diver
a little bit little. Yeah. What we're talking
about. Here. So... But and in regards to
going back a little bit, I guess, is the forces that are coming after us. Right?
You have the Sierra Club, you have she sue you have all, all these big name entities. Mh. With a lot of
backing, Mh.
Coming after or and or doing land grabs. Mh.
Against come... Like, against people that want to be
out there. Right? And you have these
individuals like you and me and the person listening to this that are upset with it.
Yeah. Right? And what can you and me
and the person out there do against it.
Nothing.
I mean, I mean, we can do individuals as individuals, we can't do anything.
Right. There's no meaningful impact as individuals. Right?
We can help. Mh. But I... Like, if
I went individually against Su. Yeah. They would laugh at
me back at me and send me out the door. Yeah. Right? Exactly. Yep. So what
do we need to do? We can help
our organizations locally. Mh. We can beat volunteering
clubs, but it doesn't come down to any effect until we have another large name, organization at the table with the other large name organizations. Yeah. Totally, 100 percent. Did I
guarantee you know it? Yeah. I no worries.
Did it kinda go? Yeah. No way. I
was trying to state that my... The whole
point of this is the big name organizations are coming at the small person. Yeah. We
need a big name organization just be at the table representing us as well. 100 percent. Yeah. And
I think that there's is definitely... I don't...
Closure is not management.
Yeah. I think that there's definitely a way
that we can manage lands and sustainably so that there is a future for both the planet and us.
I think that there's a way to do it without locking off the enjoyment to us.
Absolutely. Yeah. Like, there's there's... I I don't
I don't... And I think that environmentalists
are kidding themselves.
When they think that they are doing the right things because they think that closure means that they are still gonna get to enjoy it.
Lot of them do. You asked them, and
they're like, oh, no. Sue was doing awesome
stuff. They're locking up these lands so that
it's only available for backpack packing or whatever.
And it's like, you realize that in order to get to that location. You have to
backpack a hundred miles.
You can't get to that location backpack. Like,
it's not feasible. No. Not at all. They're
like, Oh, I didn't realize that. Yeah.
Absolutely. Yeah. We need we need we need
awareness. We need education, and we definitely need
organization of people coming together and however it is isn't being represented at the tables. Yes.
So And I think the Blue ribbon is doing an awesome job at that. And I
think that the more money and funding they get, the more they're gonna be for the recreational community.
Absolutely. So... So go to share trails dot
org. Yeah Yeah. There's a lot of stuff
there working on nationwide. This was just a
handful things in this little newsletter I got.
There... There's a lot of cool stuff going
on. There's a lot of big things that
they're fighting.
They have a page that kinda outlines things a lot of the stuff they're fighting.
There's an action page take action where you can look through some of the causes and be like, yeah, I don't care too much about Moa app, but I care about, like, Powell.
Yeah. And so I wanna I wanna get
involved with, lake Powell and send in my my 2 cents, my comments about, like, Powell. And so they have... You
can input on their stuff they're doing with Lake Right now. So
there... It's it's a really cool what they're
doing.
I think everybody should be supporting blue ribbon Coalition. If you like outdoor recreation.
It's a small price to pay in order to ensure that we continue having outdoor recreation 20 30.
Absolutely.
A hundred percent. I I've also... I've often
wondered if there was some way to state, like, if you go off road once, and it's a day trip, you should spend, like, 5 bucks for to till, Like, give 5 bucks to blue ribbon or any organization. Yep. They choose. If you do every
day that you go off road during the year, think about giving an organization 5 bucks. Yeah. How many days
a year do you go off road? I
go a lot. A lot of I go
quite a bit. Yeah. You know? So I
should probably be donating a chunk of money. Mh. Every year to
these people because they are doing... They are
supporting and keeping things alive, events alive, act alive, nature alive. Mh. So that I can
continue to go out and do the things that I enjoy. Yep. Yeah. You know, So
think of just think about it. Like, a
dollar, You know? It's like, if you went
wheel 50 times this year, which might be a high number for people, think about donating 50 bucks. Yeah. It's very
true. Yep. You know, because that's 1 dollar.
Just 1 dollar of every trip that you take. Mh. You know, what is that? Like,
1 of those little bag of white powder doughnuts. Yeah. You know, Like, don't buy that
this 1 time. Yeah. Donate that dollar
