We got so much snow that St. Nicholas himself said, what the fuck?
Yeah, I heard it.
24 inches overnight, right?
24 inches, 24 hours.
It's like 36 inches, I think was the total in like the 48 hours.

Yeah, it was a 48 hours.
I snowplowed six times.
Yeah, I did four times, but my neighbors did twice.
They helped me out twice.
Oh, that's so nice of them.
My snowblower stopped working because there was so much snow, I couldn't do it, so I had
to shovel.
I got done with my driveway last night in case you guys and gals are wondering.
We had the snowstorm itself, but then we had a blizzard after that because the amount of
wind that came after the snowstorm itself then pretty much moved all the snow everywhere
it wasn't supposed to be.
We plowed everything and then just more snow built up over these like five foot snowpiles.
But last night I got done, it took me probably an hour and a half, an hour I would say to
clear off the driveway because obviously the snowplows came through and put like two and
a half feet of just sheer ice at the end of the driveway.
Got that all taken care of.
I'm about to put my stuff in, right?
And I plowed the sidewalk for both myself and my neighbors because that's just what
you do.
It's just the thing you do.
And I'm about to put it in and my neighbor across the street garage door opens up and
they haven't plowed in the last 24 hours.
Oh God.
It's crazy.
And here's this guy, the name's Nate, just looks out and he's like, you can just tell
him that he's like, fuck, I don't want to do this.
And I'm got my snow, I'm already like out there and I'm looking at him like, I should
help.
So then I went over and we spent another hour, hour and a half on unicefying his driveway,
which was, which was a ton of work.
So I feel like I got my, my, my exercise in today, I, when I came in, I forgot my laptop
and everything one of those days, Mondays, Tuesdays, you know what it'd be.
And so I had to run back home.
This is after the blizzard.
Everything is settled now.
Everything's calm this morning, but the roads are still kind of shitty.
I got back to my house to go grab my laptop.
I could not even pull in my driveway with my forerunner because the fucking plow went
by and I have Mount Everest in front of my driveway now again, again.
So more snow, snows just the gift that keeps on giving in March.
It's insane.
It is insane.
The only other time we had it worse is I think it was not worse, but it was bad.
Two years ago, I want to say every year that I've gone to Riverside, it has been
like this the day or week of.
Yeah, yeah, two years ago, you guys left in the snowstorm.
We did.
We left and we had some snow or we left before you guys because we had the trailers
and stuff. We hit tornadoes on the way down.
Literally like tornadoes, like five miles from us on the ground confirmed.
We had to pull off and a truck stop and like take shelter.
You guys left like that night and got absolutely pummeled with snow.
The next year, it was last year, Dakota, me and you and Brent left in the middle
of a snowstorm with the BMW and was just psychotic.
And now this year, I love Riverside.
Riverside is one of my favorite events to go to.
And to be honest, this year we're only doing the events that we really vibe with,
that we feel like align with martini works, like culture, I guess, of community
first attitudes, Riverside is one of those events.
But son of a bitch, Mason, move that event further into April for the love of God, man.
The the march is killing us up here.
The 10 people that come from Wisconsin.
Well, two years, two years ago, we got a snowstorm, like Gels said.
But the worst part was is we went to Green Bay to pick up back as M4
because we had just repainted the front sides and rear.
And it was $6,000.
Oh, my God.
Because it was Austin Yellow.
It was a bunch of repair work, like we wanted it pretty.
And then we went to go pick it up.
It was on Michelin Pilot Sport 4Ss.
Nice. And it was snowing.
And it was snowing.
Well, it ended up being 18 inches.
And then Becca wanted to drive it back.
And so Becca drove it back from Green Bay to Appleton, 36 miles.
It took two two hours and 15 minutes to get it from Green Bay to Appleton.
And it would have taken us less.
But when we pulled out of the auto collision center,
rays that you can take, you can go over the bridge,
which will take you through the back way and essentially through like Kakaon
and all of that stuff and then back up through here.
Don't want to go that way, especially during a snowstorm, right?
Your chances are best on the highway, to be honest.
Because it gets cleared first.
We missed the turn to go on to the highway
and the car couldn't turn around because it was going to get stuck.
So we were forced to only go forward and find our way home
by only going and drive forward, but making no turns.
So that was a that was a pretty rough ride.
We ended up switching to Michelin Pilot all season fours
when we got home to make the drive down.
And then we put the PS4Ss, I think, in it was Dale's car at the time.
He had a GR Corolla.
We drove we left at like nine o'clock that night
to take the 12 hour drive down there.
And then on the way through Oshkosh,
construction, like one of the big round construction cones,
you know, like the big fatties was rolling around on the highway.
I just missed it by like two inches in Becca's car.
And then it smoked Dale's Corolla.
GR Corolla, it was brand new.
He had like a hundred miles on it.
So don't live in Wisconsin.
I think if if there is a way to live in Wisconsin,
only live in it from like April to October, become a snowbird.
I put May. May, May, April still sketch.
May, May's a good May's a good date.
I did send a picture to the to the team yesterday politely
saying, can we move yet in hopes that we can move?
Martini, because I specifically remember my first season opener
that used to be in April that I helped remember that parking cars in an actual blizzard.
Still hosted it, baby hosted it.
That was crazy. Still hosted it.
But yeah, no, we're excited.
We get to show off the S15, which is all done to that now.
Well, we we've done a lot.
And also, it doesn't look like we've done anything.
Yeah, it's it's really honestly,
majority has been just updating things and like cleaning it up.
Yeah. So like the body kit, for instance,
got a lot of damage during shipping and from it being like so low and stuff like that.
There was just like somewhere like through the side skirts.
So like it needed a lot of fiberglass repair on the body kit.
Obviously needed to be repainted.
There were some other spots that needed to be touched up.
The wheels were all curb rashed somehow.
So we had to get those.
Not only that, but like even in the lips, they were like.
Pitted. Pitted, yeah.
Yes, they were raw.
If I tried cleaning them first, yes, I don't know if that was just from like
like transfer or transport or something, whatever it was.
Yes, we got those all cleaned up.
They look brand new, which is incredible.
New suspension bits.
New sway bar, new sway bars, just like I said,
just cleaning it up to make it nice.
Yeah. So I think that we kind of talk about it in some of our pillar videos,
which if you guys are subscribed to the main channel, you'll hear some of this.
But like we wanted to make the S 15 have intention over just doing a bunch
of like stuffs to make it look good.
So we did the window tint because I think it helps.
You know, we cleaned up the body kit, of course.
But, you know, like the suspension that came out of it, it was old, you know,
and the struts, if not blown out, we're leaking pretty bad.
So we replaced that.
We've got some some coilovers in there now, some new ones.
So that'll feel nice.
We switched out, got a stiffer rear sway bar.
We're going to get a stiffer front sway bar as well.
So that's good.
The turbo inlet and downpipe are just to help the car breathe a little bit.
And then I got rid of the dildo shift knob and we put the.
Yeah, I'm going to put the gritty nice.
We literally have the same shift knob in all three cars.
Let's go to the shift knob.
I just didn't just didn't didn't want to guess.
Didn't want to didn't want to, you know, take a chance.
So the R 34 has got a gritty shift knob.
The S 15 has a gritty shift knob and the Datsun has a gritty shift knob.
So yeah, so you guys should be able to see it.
If you're if you're going to be at Riverside, come over, check it out.
You'll also get to see the Datsun because if you didn't, if you didn't make it
to the Sunday show for Slam or not, you never saw the car.
But that'll be at the booth as well.
So we'll have that all finished up.
That's had a lot of work done to actually go and crazy and get in the seats mounted.
Again, stuff nobody will see or really care about, but has taken a substantial amount of time.
Yeah, we cut the rails.
We cut the bottom side of the the the whole seat set up.
It's like the whole floor section out dry ice.
Yeah, to put seats.
None of that wet ice, just dry ice.
We did that.
Jackson did a fantastic job on the welds, some new mounts and everything.
So the car, the seats, the problem is the big problem with racing seats is people always
get the harness angle wrong and it can cause some marining in your back.
If you get into an accident, it's really messes you up.
So we had a terrible angle with the harnesses because when driver built the
actual rear rear like loop or hoop, I don't think they ever took into account
where the actual seat was going to sit because it didn't have seats in it.
Correct.
They should have they should have put the hoop, you know, six to eight inches
higher than what they did to actually make it functional.
So we had to we couldn't obviously cut out the the the roll bar.
So we changed it.
We lowered the seats.
We brought the the seats forward, which kind of needed to be done, too,
because you were sitting really high.
Yeah, my my top of my hair was hitting the headliner.
There's no space for a helmet.
So now it's forward, it's down.
We wanted to be at about 20 degrees for a racing harness for safety.
Right now it's at like 22, 23.
So we couldn't work yet.
Yeah, but we couldn't we couldn't get it any lower without sacrificing
my my knees being into my chest, essentially, because you can go forward
and you can go down to reduce, you know, that.
But we got I mean, I think when we first put the seats in, it was at like 47 degrees.
So it was it was not good.
And anybody that knows racing harnesses would have would have called that out,
should have called that out.
So got that fixed.
Nice.
And I just need a battery. Another one.

Yeah, I was fucking sick on the ride to work.
I like turned on the road.
I'm like, Oh my God, these are like not plowed like the side streets and stuff.
So I'm just driving.
I just slammer and fucking high for it immediately just grips up.
And I'm like, I was like tested.
I wanted to see it's four wheel drives fucking nice when you need it.
But yeah, I'm enjoying it.
And then I have a bunch of little stuff I'm doing on the way.
I'm transferring over all the lighting and making that LED lighting from
like the hatch lights to the dome lights to the door lights.
So I have some kits for that that I'm doing.
And then just some some different odds and ends that I'll be doing with that.
I got to I actually have a set of rays or a lug nuts I need to put on
because they cost me a lot of money and I haven't put them on yet.
The other ones were the wrong thread pitch, right?
Yeah, is that what ended up happening?
Yeah, we almost made that mistake putting the adapters on the S15.
Yeah, the spaces for our drift set for some reason are different thread pitch
are different thread pitch.
Yeah, we almost made it.
You got to watch out for that.
Make sure when because people think because it will go on like the first couple
turns, you'll be like, oh, it's just a little zap them.
And then you just completely fuck it.
And I did that.
Well, because I did the research and made sure it was the right thread
bridge. And when I ordered them, I was just sent a different set than what I ordered.
Sometimes sometimes that happens.
That happens.
So I put them on and it was exactly what you said.
I could like kind of start threading them with my fingers, but it was like, oh,
they're kind of you get a second thread and I did the old impact on them.
Yeah, the good news is those will give before your studs.
Yeah.
So I just choose to just rethread the shit out of one.
You're just retapping the that was not right.
So I backed it off and I looked at the packaging realized it was a decimal point off.
And but now I have the right ones and they're forged.
So it's super lightweight.
And it's going to see tons of weight savings.
Yeah, yeah.
And those are going up.
Yeah.
Yeah, how much do those tires weigh again?

Yeah, tires.
Fucking more than I want to lift.
We did we did the same thing for the S 15 going to Riverside.
We changed out the lugs again, just like some some quality of life stuff.
So we put work lugs on it now so that it matches the car.
We actually have our own valve stem caps now, too.
Those look really good on there.
I like the little red put it on.
Yeah, yeah.
So it matches the car.
So if you guys are interested, you want to pick up something small,
maybe you don't need a big car part, but you just want to support.
The valve stem caps are 15 bucks on the website.
Again, they're different colors
and they have the whole Martin works logo on them.
They look sick.
They're anodized, they're light, they're cool.
I think they're kind of neat.
But yeah, through those on.
So that was really cool.
Tighten up the fitment a little.
It could go lower for sure.

So I learned how to do that.

So I just took a lefty, then I went back up the road
and then I jumped on the road over here and came back around

To be driving what would be accumulative almost 20,000 pounds
of metal with a truck that we have not been able to successfully drive
more than 45 miles without something.

to hear anyone talk and smack about Continental Tires
ever again, because my BMW E90 on BC Race and Coilovers
got through this 36 inches of snow when it should not
have, because it was on Viking Contact 7s.

It was Sunday night, the snow was coming down heavy.
I'm like, we got no food in the house.

but there's been a ton of news about people,
the government closing loopholes on Montana plates
and suing and sending people to jail
for essentially what is tax evasion,

of with some of his last videos and posts.
But now there's more news coming out.
The Federal Trade Commission has warned 97 auto dealership groups
about deceptive pricing.
So deceptive pricing is not, it is illegal,
but it's kind of this huge gray area
in terms of what you can actually publicize
as a price for a product
versus what you tell them over email or over the phone.
So yeah, so now they're essentially sending out these emails
that says, hey, you must show the total price of something
or we're going to find the fuck out of you.
So wait, what does that mean?
Like that has to include the taxes dealer fees?
Yeah, what are dealerships doing?
Are they listing it?
And then when you get to the door, they're saying,
I mean, that's a different price.
That was happening with the Nissan Z, for instance.
Yeah, when I did the video doing,
when I was in my own era of just getting pissed at people
because the prices that they're putting for cars was not real.
I think it was road and track, whatever, they do that VIR test
and I'm like, that's all bullshit
because these are not the prices
that people are going to buy these cars for.
And so I did, I remember I called like 31 dealers
and out of the 31 dealers for the cars
that they was listed on the test,
there were only two dealers that were the price
that were listed on their website.
29 out of 31 dealers for a different price
than what they had listed on cars.com
or whatever it might be.
So the Federal Trade Commission is sending letters
to 97 out of groups nationwide,
warning them that the prices they advertise
must be the total price, including all mandatory fees
that consumers are required to pay.
I'm surprised it's only 97.
Although you have to remember, these groups are big.

for like $259 a month for like three years

But $10,500 up front down payment.

Yeah, conditioning the advertised price
on consumers using dealer financing,
requiring consumers to buy additional items
not reflected in the advertised price
or advertising unavailable or non-existent vehicles.
This went out to groups like Lindsay Chevrolet,
Leader Automotive Group, and Asbury Automotive Group.
Damn.
So honestly, that's.
I hope something actually gets done.
It's not just like, hey, you better do that.
They'll find another loophole or something.

And then no one does anything.

that if they can take advantage of somebody or something,

But you have to go with our dealer financing.
And then you go get dealer financing
and it's a 9% interest rate for a car loan.
And then they'll add on all this other shit.
And the next thing you know, you're paying $700 for a $25,000 used car.

I'll be honest, I'm not against forced induction V6s being in higher echelon
cars.

the budget, not budget move, but like the more affordable move.
Because V8s are expensive, especially European versions.
The V6 brings down cost, makes it a little bit more reliable.
You're not having to deal with so much.
You actually get better fuel efficiency.
I just think it's more like realistic.

And the NSX is also V6 twin turbo, isn't it?

The new NSX weighs between 3,800 and 3,900 pounds.
And the new RS4 weighs over 5,000.

the thing that impressed me the most was the handling of it.

But like when you drive a Miata, for instance,
you'd be like, oh my God, the handling is really sharp.
But that's because the car is tiny and weighs nothing.
And like the steering rack is like on top of the front wheels.
So sometimes it can even feel twitchy, like too sensitive.
Elpin, that A110S, I don't know what it is.
It's just, it's perfect.
It felt so good.
And it's nice because it was new and it had some analog stuff
still and some digital stuff.
So kind of it's got like that kind of like,
like very like kind of exotic look.
Yeah, it's got a funky look to it.
It's got the Celica GT4 style front headlights
that I think look really cool, but totally worth it.
So not that we'll ever get it,
but if you guys want a car that you didn't know existed,
go Google search the Elpin A110 and see if you like it.
They look pretty neat.
You said Miata and it just triggered a memory,
this kind of random.
But my dad one day out of fucking nowhere,
he's like, I want to buy this Miata.
He was like doing the classic like Craigslist searching,
wanting to get a Miata.
We're like, okay, we can go get it.
So we go check it out.
And it has like some mods done to it.
Nothing like crazy.
It's like, it's pretty sad,
but like cosmetic stuff going on was yellow.
Did have like one of the headlights was like carbon
and it had like an inlet to it, like the intake.
That was about the extent of it.
And dude, it had the worst sounding exhaust in the world.
It was like, you're piercingly loud.
And then the funniest part was it had a boost gauge in it
that read zero and then 100 PSI and no vacuum.
And the kicker was as naturally aspirated.

The fitments are cool.
The designs are rad and they're really well priced as well.
And I've said it before, but one of the cool things
about their finishes is the paint quality that they have on it.
Use an automotive grade paint, not just a wheel grade paint,
which is what gives the wheels a super big depth.
And that's something that even some of the higher end
wheel companies in Japan don't even do.
