00:22
Let's brew! What's going on Car Guys and Car Gals? We are at Naiman and we got a full party up in
00:30
here. We'll brew some solutions and we're pumped up to talk to you about why you're not here,
00:35
why they are here and why overall this is just an incredible event for us all to be at. What's
00:41
going on everybody? Fred, we got a cool looking brew. I'm gonna tell you something if you guys are on
00:45
social media then I think you recognize these faces right here. They're all over the place doing
00:49
big things showing you the way on how to become better at those things. One thing I love about
00:54
all three of these people is that they're friends of ours. I've seen them grow and we've actually
00:58
connected a lot over the last couple months which is really nice and I'm watching them each grow.
01:02
One thing I could say is I've known Robin the longest out of the three and Robin's been nothing but
01:06
supportive of everything we've ever done and of course anything she does I'm always trying to
01:09
support it too and it's not just because she's my friends because what she brings is dynamite.
01:13
So when she introduces me to two other people that I already knew about already but then tells
01:17
me hey these are people you should know I listen so I'm excited to have you all on the show today.
01:21
It's going to be great. Appreciate it. We are too. We're super excited about it. So Robin,
01:25
why is it that we have these two awesome people? Well I'll tell you so over the years like whether
01:30
I've been in the dealership doing training with social media for salespeople on the organic side
01:34
or anything that I've done like recently I've started visiting dealerships with Go with Sean
01:41
and we've been doing some training. I'll do BDC training and some organic social. He's doing
01:45
video training, social media training and sales training and then we've all been listening to
01:51
everything that Daryl does on the acquisition side and so Daryl's going look my dealers need
01:55
social media and they need BDC help. They need lead management help. What if we could bring this
01:59
all together and go we've all got a solution for some dealers like that like they can have the
02:04
choice of all of us. They don't have to go that guy and then that guy and then that guy and none
02:07
of it's a line. Right. And so we just started talking about that and go what would that look like.
02:11
So Daryl it's his big idea. It was more of that right and I appreciate Robin because Robin how
02:17
do you not like gravitate to this electricity was when we think about it I'll do acquisition and
02:23
building buying centers is hard enough. It's one of the hardest jobs in the store but then so now
02:28
they bottle these cars or they have this dynamic but then how do they sell them? How do they build
02:31
the brand? How do they do these things? How do they make people aware that they have a buying
02:34
center? And when you get that it's like they can form that out but then it is a disconnect.
02:38
Does the person they get are they as passionate? Are they convicted to that as I am to their
02:43
acquisition and so it's finding the right people that are going to one care about the dealer and
02:47
two go to the store. There's one thing about anyone can do send you a book or a deal webinar
02:54
when you go to it and show that you're going to get in the trenches with them that makes all the
02:57
difference. That's a big difference maker for us. We're boots on the ground in a different
03:01
dealership multiple dealerships just about every week unless we're at an event like this and there
03:07
is a big vivid difference between our presence on the ground then in our presence even on a
03:14
virtual call it's definitely different. Yeah like they just want to absorb it unless you're right
03:19
there with them they can be doing something else instead of tuning into your stuff but when you
03:24
guys are there and you guys are bringing the energy that you bring it's like the difference
03:27
like whenever I'm trying to do it by myself then whenever goat comes like his energy level is
03:31
whatever and he's like getting these people all engaged in it too and getting them all hyped up
03:35
and that face-to-face training just does so much more than that right. It hits weight different
03:39
to me like being in person plus you can not only they feel your vibe you feel theirs. Yeah so you
03:44
read the room and you instinctively know hey this side of the room over here maybe I need to pick
03:48
them up a little bit whereas in this side of the room they're getting it the light bulbs are already
03:52
on over there so you can identify where you need to focus right and aim your message a little bit
03:57
better and deliver the best experience so. And you guys know when you guys go on site there's always
04:00
that one person in here that you can see in their face they are not about anything that you have
04:06
going on. That's the target. That's the one I'm going to close by. Like you're gonna love me.
04:14
Make it the mission yeah we absolutely do that and even point them out. Lou's one that called
04:18
them out and that's what I love about Lou. Lou will get somebody out there say you put your hands
04:22
together let's clap. Let's go. Hands on your shoulders forget focus fly and I love that about
04:26
that because don't be the one don't be that one right. Why are you being that way because
04:31
why you're so closed off that you don't believe that you have potential to be better it's crazy
04:35
to think that but I love that you guys do the same thing and I already sense that about you all
04:39
this is a dynamic trio right here right and I love what you guys are doing and I'm so glad you
04:42
guys have united powers this is a super force right here y'all something that y'all should be
04:46
watching out I know you all are really excited so name ad what made you all say let's go to name ad.
04:50
I'll tell you I wasn't going I had no plans to come here and we were at where I was I was talking
04:55
I think maybe at Blyaput Noli and I was talking to Matt at Bowtie Solutions and he's yeah you
05:00
guys should go you guys should come to name ad I got an extra pick you should come and I'm like I
05:04
didn't to be fair I didn't know that I it was okay for me to come does it make sense makes
05:12
total sense this is for the minority auto dealers I'm like I don't know where I fit in this world
05:17
honestly that's just the truth and I was like I didn't I would always want to come but I didn't
05:21
was it allowed did I come and so he's like yeah you should go and I'm like yeah and so it was so
05:26
Matthew I'll just give you one of the tickets and when he reached out to me and went so we're not
05:30
going to get to go at all so I have three tickets so I tapped go and like going hey do you want to
05:36
go to name that he'd already told me he was coming grab Shasta Shasta I'm like okay great
05:40
that we have time to collaborate together in person because he's west coast yeah he's Ohio I'm
05:45
Missouri so getting us all together was like oh wait three different time zones I love that
05:51
absolutely so that's what brought us here and I'm like so glad I did because this this reminds me of
05:57
like the small intimate seal reminds me of like why I love like NIA the A or any of those smaller
06:03
conferences is because you have the time to actually get to know somebody people are having
06:07
conversations yeah all up and down this hall that doesn't happen at bigger conferences it doesn't
06:14
you know where they're actually like you should talk to somebody for like almost an hour just now
06:18
and those things just don't happen yeah here we go here we go for me guys is this is I've always
06:25
heard like I'd known what it was but never come was they're really community-based like they like to
06:29
give back they like to be involved and so for me an acquisition I thought it was important one
06:33
there's not a lot of people that can do acquisition or teach or coach it very well in the industry
06:39
yeah and since these guys are really profound about giving back to the community was
06:44
wired like how can I help them with acquisition and then building that branch and give them that
06:48
inlet to the customers back into them rather than just sales and service build that other brand and
06:53
then them hearing from somebody that will go to them put in boots on the ground like we were talking
06:58
about knowing that Sean does it Robin does it and I see tons of people trainers and everything else
07:05
that will tell you and they'll sell you and that all they do is virtual but they'll never show up
07:10
or they don't do it themselves so it's more about like these guys when they see you're here you're
07:14
in it is letting them know you will go get in the trenches with them and I'm not going to tell you
07:19
anything I'm going to show it to you first that's right then we're going to discuss it to see if it's
07:23
your model and then we're going to build right so I bought it here too with you guys out to answer
07:29
the question is because what I have found the minority dealers that I personally know because
07:34
they have some inherent disadvantages in the corporate settings occasionally that can happen
07:40
that they work hard they work harder they're more passionate they get up every single day with
07:46
the fire in their belly because they have to have that they maybe have weren't blessed with dad passed
07:52
down a dealership or whatever so these guys are hustlers and grinders and that's what I am and
07:57
that's what is so it's a natural fit for us I love that because all of us I think in sitting
08:03
right in front of each other we are all first timers we are the ones in the families that
08:07
probably took it to the next level right we're the ones who actually look for more and try to
08:11
become more and that is something special and that's something that these dealers do have
08:14
they talked about stats yesterday they talked about dealers that are minorities and they are
08:19
usually the highest performing dealers when it comes to their brand and it's pretty amazing to
08:22
see that and that's because of that work ethic it's because they're willing to try more and
08:26
honestly they feel like that we're approved they have they do have a lot got an edge you got a
08:30
chip on their shoulder amen and I love that that's the edge I love that I always try to have a
08:34
little bit of a chip on my shoulder I don't get me wrong I'm very very but that's it and if you
08:40
have that you always know that hey there's more I need to be more I need it's not just for me it's
08:45
for people who look like me it's for people who are me they need to see that that's possible for us
08:49
to do things I could walk around the tattoos and have my long hair and my beard and wear sneakers
08:53
everywhere I go but yet I'm a professional and I'm doing big things and other people out there
08:57
have that same vibe and they want to be able to do it and they don't know do I fit in you do fit in
09:01
in places I'd like to show you that I think also too which is unique and interesting is when you
09:06
see like what he says they grind they hustle they want to do it is I want to work with people or
09:10
work for people that take their business seriously or as intense as I take mine for sure I don't
09:16
want to work with people that are entitled or assume they want I I want to give back to people
09:20
that are like man we're so happy to have this opportunity because it creates a real natural
09:24
partnership facts I love it I agree that's making sure that we do get one exposure to new events
09:33
exposure to new people but also our solution to the floor to the hands of those that need it
09:40
that's primarily why we work so hard at what it is that we do and regardless of who it is where
09:45
they are one thing about the auto industry is that we all know how to work we all know how to
09:50
put in that work and we are always on this uphill battle to try to win our customers win our community
09:56
and at the end of the day set everybody up for success whether it's our customer whether it's
10:02
somebody that we're actually working with or it's somebody rock it out or it's somebody
10:08
that is really trying to find a path inside of a career represented here you have many
10:16
different paths you can take inside of a career inside of automotive for those of you that are
10:21
watching for those of you that are curious for those of you that know people that are trying
10:24
to consider where to go with their career with their talents this is an incredible display almost
10:31
like a job fair of all of these different people that do so many different things in the industry
10:37
and it's not just selling at car many people or have this misconception if I'm going to be in the
10:43
car business I either got to fix a car or I got to sell a car and there's so many other things
10:48
that we're able to do women have so many avenues that they can take inside of this industry that
10:54
they don't even know about that's true the Wokan crew they're in there doing their thing they are
10:58
lighting it up right now having the biggest luncheon that they've ever had shout out to Wokan
11:03
incredible job doing what you're doing but it's raising the awareness of what's available
11:08
and what's possible we I believe that we haven't even yet scratched the surface of being able to
11:14
combine forces like this to show what can actually happen when you add a few little extra ingredients
11:19
maybe I don't know we'll call it a little extra seasoning to the recipes that it takes to actually
11:24
see success and I'm so thankful to one have friends like you all to be able to do that with
11:29
have people like you all to be able to watch to inspire to encourage to keep it rocking
11:33
but at the end of the day you being your best has to find an avenue and has to find a takeoff
11:38
place and each and every one of you are finding ways to do that and innovating that's the part
11:43
that I love most is the creation we're innovating new ways to take all of these new challenges
11:48
and bundle them up and basically just say we can knock it out and I love what you're assembling here
11:54
because there are many different pieces of the music that don't sing the same song and sometimes
12:01
the dealer welcomes all of those band members in and nobody knows the sheet of music nobody
12:06
knows the rhythm nobody knows the cadence and trying to get that flow is pivotal and dealers out
12:11
there it is imperative that all of your moving parts speak to each other with that said when
12:18
things are speaking to each other sometimes you get a lot of people close together just like this
12:22
right here and this is where you would pop a grenade right where there's a lot of people around
12:27
speaking of grenade social grenade has been getting such a buzz right he's good but with
12:36
that social grenade has really been making a bang all over the place in the industry right now and
12:41
it's been making things loud tell everybody a little bit more about what social grenade is
12:44
actually doing up there sure so I developed social grenade it's an app and it was developed
12:49
with the salesperson in mind so like my heart is for the salespeople you guys need to put more
12:53
stake on the table and you need to not be beat the pavement and waiting on those bdc up so if
12:57
you can generate your own first party warm leads through social media posting that is strategic
13:03
then you're now dictating your own business and now you're an entrepreneur inside of that
13:08
dealership creating your own income you want to go from ten thousand dollars a month to fifteen
13:12
thousand dollars a month it's up to you and so we show you how to do that with social media
13:16
coaching daily text prompts to remind you what you do and an app full of all of the content you
13:20
should be posting all the content that you need if you just actually use it I promise you you will
13:24
go from that 10 to 15 or you'll go from that five to 10 whatever you're looking to get whatever
13:28
that advantage you want social grenade to make sure that you blow up in front of everybody
13:33
it's so one simplifying for sales pros one because a lot of times they get that analysis
13:40
paralysis right I want to post you guys inspired me everybody told me what social media can do for
13:46
my business I'm ready to pull I got it up yep or I don't really know what to do let me go study
13:51
over here or I'm gonna go stand by the door or I just don't know what to do so I'm not gonna do
13:56
anything I'll think about something and maybe I'll do it tomorrow I think I think you have a car yeah
13:59
that happens just so many different people the videos don't get made the creative doesn't get
14:04
created and because of that people just get stuck and then they start to say it doesn't work it
14:11
doesn't work with that it's getting loud up in here everybody and we want to encourage you
14:18
reach out reach out get some more information find out how this can actually work
14:25
just got loud in here but folks before we get out of here before it gets too loud I want to make
14:28
sure everybody knows how to get a hold of you all what's the best way to reach you you can get a
14:32
hold of me on tiktok instagram facebook and go for real to one six that's right yep you can get me
14:38
robin wilson on facebook or you can find social grenade anywhere I've got them on all the channels
14:53
car guys and car gals we have one thing left to do we're gonna have to see what we can do with all
14:58
this we spent all right but we are going to we're gonna drop those f bombs that don't offend the
15:05
moms everybody we're gonna make sure that we do forget focus fly and keep growing all the time
15:09
I know robin knows the moves we've got to teach these dudes okay so with that we're going to wipe off
15:16
wipe off the weight of unforgiveness focus on where we're going who we're gonna help
15:22
and then we're gonna stretch out and fly so we keep growing all the time so here we go on three
15:27
everybody okay one two three
15:40
to the car guy called the podcast we are live at name mat and we will talk to you soon we out
