It's more than a couple of episodes at this point over the next couple, but it's good to have you back down.
Hello. I'm very happy to be back.
Did a lot of home renovations now, you know, you know, I'm finally free, I think honey free until the new year.
And so, you know, we're trying to get a couple of episodes in before after hopefully, head back to camera, okay?
Very good to have you on board mr.
David Prince will get into some carpets with you soon as you were the first one on today. How art thou and updates with
you righty-o? Okay, I've got under this
fantastic idea. With my car's of worked out
something on bit, slow to the party.
But if I just this whole servicemen thing, I've been thinking about you and Ed talking about service mother, they actually have a procession of cars into workshops.
I don't know, they don't know my garage.
I just have to leave them, you know, at the workshop.
For if you do, I'll get it next week.
And next week, I'll be in next week.
And, you know, you don't have to actually find room for them.
So I swapped the N1 over with a car.
I'm selling for more hooking. One of my son selfie is
sister-in-law so the end one's been sitting down at John Blair, Automotive, Honda experts in Quran, the that little Honda dealership anymore either. No, no, no.
They one of the one of the dealerships that actually there for the account, their franchise wasn't renewed, but thankfully, the text there. Most of them are absolute guns
and working on this for decades and decades.
So yeah they're terrific guys to actually take stuff to who know what they're doing and I've been doing work for them for many years. So they know me and they know my
eccentricities will say and they're happy to look at my car.
So the end ones had a service. So I thought I might have to do
a bit of a search for some brake pads for that car because I thought they'd been a advisory last service that We were going to be looking at pads and I mean worst case scenario or contact a friend in Japan and get them to send some down but they feel sure they'll match something jazz or something like that but there's plenty of meat on them. So it's good to go still.
So at the moment it's sitting in in the showroom floodlit and at night and my red flight so it looks sort of like Santa's arrived in an ice cream or an already and he's driving a red Honda in one so and that's good. Study my garage so I don't have
to keep moving. To get things in and out and
work. So, we're getting a lot of love.
It's been getting a lot of love. Yes, yeah, yeah.
So what is this up? You know.
I've never seen one of these before.
No, well, that's not surprising, so, but, yeah.
They're, they're very happily still working on all sorts of cars, but the particularly haunted.
So and when that one is done and finished, they haven't contacted me. Say it's finished, it'll
probably be between Christmas and New Year.
Now, then I'll probably stop it over with the city and the city can go down there for a little while.
And have a little bit of a holiday and they can have a little bit of a tinker with that.
The tappets are a bit noisy. I'd like them sort of adjusted
properly, and yeah, probably look at putting a tiny building that too because I haven't got any idea when that was done and evidently, they don't last 39 years.
So we're probably benefited to do that to not the Civic wagon.
Is also a way having the exhaust done by build Automotive, who used to be a Berkeley exhaust Outlet.
So, one of the guys down there is a real gun.
Exhaust systems. And luckily, I was actually
given a complete exhaust system from a 1500 wagon, which is pretty obscure and hard to find. So between him and being able to
put some bits in and and what I've got, and what I, what I was what is on the car, I'm sure they'll get sorted because it had a couple of leaks in it and is a bit down on power, which I'm hopeful is is a, is an exhaust problem, a collapse muffler, or something like that. And the when I got the carrot,
actually, had a new manifold gasket in it, It.
So, you're saying the other day he said, it's all very well, having a new manifold gasket, but that's actually not the right one. So, he sent me a photo and the,
what came off the car and what was the new one in the thing which was correctly, labeled and everything, but it's obviously not for this car. So, but all their Surplus came
to the rescue, they had one listed and we got a photo of it, and it's got the right number of holes and Inlet and Outlet, holes, and $25 later. We've got a new exhaust manifold
gasket for it, so that was easy. So that's all the cardio that's
in the process of being done. So might be done before
Christmas, might not, we'll see how we go.
But again, it can stay there for as long as it needs to that one's. Yeah.
That'll be a project for the new year, actually.
Get it finished and back on the road.
Yeah. And the only other pack her up
dead on. Hey, I thought of you guys all
my weekend. I found myself in the reject
shop, which I'm not a, not a regular Shopper that I'll show you. On the show on the hammer, of
course not too good for the listeners, but I don't know if you've seen these at the reject shop.
Yeah, this is a Holden Heritage collection trivia box and oh wow, trivia box. So for the grandson of, I think
there are eight dollars fifty each.
It's a card game with it, has 100 135 questions or something in it and yes, I watch this space car.
Talk listeners can go. It could find a rejection got by
them and actually play along with the quiz.
I think there might be a few quiz questions in there for next year. I think you can be one of those.
I really was driving home and she's like, I want to test how good you really are. So, she just pulled out the
question just and and she's like, unbelievably, you're getting most of these right really?
She didn't know you very well. They did.
She, that was, there was one was fairly new relationship.
It was fairly new that but you could use also You're gonna say you were entering the Christians before she read them out.
Ha ha ha I think one of the questions was related to the to the GT40 and she's like all the gt40s I might.
It's 40 41 inches high. Joined by mr.
Patrick never and mr. Rob and Holly the dynamic
father-son duo. How are you guys?
Not too bad. Thank you and we are getting
joined by mr. Ricci Ross, he's joining us in
neighs. He's somewhere in the in the
interwebs breeze. Can you hear us?
I should marry Chad to use laptop.
How are you making it big? You know, being in.
Many different cars made different places all here to share and talk about it you know I'm saying currently in an MR2 it looks like but anyway that's it's what can I say when the Legends driving you around? It's a rare opportunity.
When you get that you take it and make the most of it.
Not a semi man we're getting into car update so we'll continue with. Scotty was on there.
Scotty updates with you. Thanks with me.
So all I have done. I think from last show because
we can have it last week for is finished, doing the suspension on the 31. I've got fitted.
The sway bar, link bushes and the sway bar mount book on the other side of the car. So I've got that all done.
That didn't take very long. Got that done in no time.
I was going to fit a new ignition coil but it turns out that stay decided Add to change the type.
So the plug they changed it from 89 and 90 so mines, an 89.
All of them from like 86 87, 88 were all the same.
So then for some reason, they thought, hey let's change the plug, why not? She's through it.
Exactly the same. The only difference is on the
plug is different. I'm size, same everything.
So I don't know why they changed it, but I can tell you, it's it's money, like, obviously that the supplier of those coils with that plug was charging them to Dollars less and less on each coil. So it is a saving to be made.
Boom, change it over, probably sorry.
I'm being so nice. She's perfect.
Probably pretty much spot-on and that's that's all I've done.
Other than the crews from last weekend, but I'm sure we'll probably talk about that a bit later.
Yeah, we'll just meet you guys again.
I'm glad I had new ties. They did absolutely fantastic.
Well, I think this time around, there was no Toge battle with an extremely high-powered salute. That's part of this.
Probably part of the reason you don't need fresh set of tires.
Got to, you know, saying it was good.
Patrick updates with you, my friend?
Yes. Obviously, we will touch upon
later. Yes, it's been a while.
It's not really much man. Just pretty much just doing
little bits in your stuff. Getting it ready for my end of
your trip up to Road, I'm going to be doing.
So I'm just getting my You just more like camping stuff and other bits and Bobs, sort of for it.
I did however, last week attempt, to install a turbo timer, which I don't know, I think I messed it up because I got the wiring corrected. I spliced it took my ignition,
but it seems when I turn it off when I turn off the car, obviously the purpose already to keep it running, I said it for 30 seconds, the engine would stop or it would Giada.
And then The starter motor was go ballistic for a couple of seconds, which scares me which could if I wanted to kill my starter. So I just disconnected.
And for the time being, I'm just maybe.
When I have time, I might take it to an oddity leg but it's good. That that's always.
I don't know what either follow the diagram.
I spliced into everything correctly.
It's getting power and also don't know what's with that, but otherwise man is just yeah, little bits and Bobs to just that, pretty much nothing. They just getting it ready for
the interview trip and that's it man.
Nice, man. Nice isn't good with the, with
the hot lead on there as well. I was robbed and Holly.
Are you guys going? You know, too bad, you know,
just kicking back with all the Christmas parties than what lat?
Yeah. I'm but yeah, while you guys are
out there, enjoying yourselves for the hills.
I was there standing and working on that seti project.
SEC the Mercedes So we've got the roof strip back, the Bonnet strip back picked up all the discs and about three maybe four dents in a whole car, not bad for a know what, how old is the cars over 40 years? So almost a 40 year old car.
So it's looking pretty good, very little rust.
I fixed all the rust up in the back window, cut all that out.
And put in a new piece, use my shrinking machine for all the making up a new piece. So that's come up real well, so
I'm pretty happy with it. What else you been doing any
other cars? Didn't take any other cars out?
No, wait for a Mustang cruise with the mustang club week before. That was a pretty good little
trick about to Amesbury up the golf course there any crowds.
Yeah the crowds. No no no it wasn't.
That wasn't that busy was pretty quiet.
Yeah but it was yeah we had a good show of cars about setting up Mustangs. Nice.
Yes. Awesome.
So that was good part from that went for a they normally have a room for a motorcycle ride. The where they have this every
once a month on a Friday. I go for a ride underneath the
ball T Bridge, they all congregate around, underneath the bulky there, some very nice motorbike, some very expensive motorbikes but hmm, bit different to the yeah.
Going to the car seat all the time.
Have a look at all the bikes. That was good.
Yeah, so yeah. So that's pretty much it apart
from Rob's fabrication up and running again.
It's really good. Very good to hear mate.
Yeah. Rizzy, Ross, updates with you my
friend. I, I mean, not a lot of with my
cars. It's all the same.
I did see a nuke, a car that I was quite excited about.
It's only a couple of years away, though.
So whenever they, I'd to put an electric powertrain in any of the Honda's. It might, it might have been
that I had Sue's first so that could be, that could be it all the nests and Sakura. No, yes, yes, yes.
When when whenever we can import them, that's why I'm looking at you Scotty. You know reporting.
Anything import-export, whatever you guys want to do?
Talk to Scotty. The main man is literally
Scottish deaf, Japanese Imports. So she's a ho, no one context
me. Happy Christian might be
contacting your first of all. Yeah, exactly.
I'll be passing them over to him.
That's good. Mate.
I think he's back for sure. So, drop a couple of cars.
Got to drive the new Cooper born.
It's it's the hot hatch that I guess you can call it hot hatch of the future, okay? It's quite fun to drive
actually. It's only did five laps around
Haunted Hills track in gippsland and yeah, quite fun to drive or is open today. It is more.
It's pricey but it's not too pricey compared to the range.
It gives it's got a fire. 511 km range with a 82, kilowatt-hour
battery pack and that's for 60 Grand Plus on roads, which is, you know, the code, the same cars about 15,000 Australian dollars more in the UK. So it's not too bad.
I can't see them selling too many of them, but there is a market for them and I at the moment driving and Mercedes eqa, it's Nice, but it's floaties it's like the MGs I think every car that they take the engine out and put batteries and electric motors in its doesn't for whatever reason the suspension and the balancing is a little bit wrong.
Yeah. So it's not as bad as that a CV
but it's it's yeah it's still a lot.
They're looking forward to the BMW.
I X1 which launches in first quarter next year to see if that's going to be any different and My whole star opened, the first official showroom today in Australia in chadstone so went to see that they you know just form a curious car people point of view words checking out. It's very different to any other
sort of experience Center that you go into and they're not going to try and sell you anything.
If you can configure cars there, you can.
All they want to do is show you what the cars are about.
And yeah, it's a Lawn store. If you guys have sold a scenes
the Tesla store at Tad stand. It's like that but more premium
and very experienced focused, you can feel the different materials, they have, they've got a table, you can feel the materials you can look at the paint's, all of that type of stuff. So that's that's open to the bay
and it's the first one in Australia.
They've delivered over 1200 Polestar, choose this year in its first year, so not a bad run.
And that's sort of the car updates from me gents.
I shouldn't want to look at the, the Cooper, boner organ looks our organizer, right? And in person, it looks a lot
better. That's the little one little
one. Yeah, yeah.
So read some of the stats like I'm saying, it's 500, it's full electric. 500k range. Yeah.
It's got the same pack as a microbe.
Same size pack as a model, 3 Performance, or 82 kilowatt hours. It's not all I wouldn't call it
a hot hatch because 02:00 is seven seconds.
Yeah, I mean it's new. I mean the adultery is nearly as
fast as that. Is all the byd.
All dryer front wheel drive rear.
I, I think front-wheel-drive they.
Yeah, I didn't check, because they didn't give a lot of stats on that, because we weren't allowed to talk about it.
Apparently. Okay.
So, I was like, well, you've got to give the stats but it's the same as a UK configuration, and yeah.
It's good fun but I don't know if it's worth 60 Grand.
Well, the mark the module performance.
One is there's all these companies seem to be doing at the moment. So the biggest downfall just
quickly will be, well, hopefully they're not listening to this, but the biggest downfall will be the infotainment system either.
The walks wagon current generation infotainment system, it's just horrible. You know, disconnects like I got
to drive the hoop early on. The city down to your lawn and
during that period of time with that cable and Order disconnected. Three times.
It doesn't do that in any other car.
Okay, so and just the menus. They're so hard to get into when
you're driving. It's a much bigger distraction
that it needs to be models, will get rid of all of it.
Yeah. So that's walks, wagons biggest
challenge and unfortunately, Cupra inherits that as well.
But it is fun its unique. It looks cool on the inside very
much, like, remind me a lot of the Fiesta ST, like, you know, the uniqueness behind the interior, the seating position.
The it looks like it's there to have fun with.
So well worth checking out. They do have a center
enrichment, they're a little bit more, salesy the part of the sagami is group so they're a little bit more sales you compared to what the Polestar people are but It's checking out the cars. Should be there to see by
February nice. There's a bone in the window of
it today because I drove past it today.
Awesome. Grease.
The bowl exonerated as yet all day.
B. Y Diez.
Yeah I think they've got a problem.
You about 1200 of them running around.
Okay? And they've just increase the
price by three grand across both of the models.
There is they'll be launching their hatchback in the first half. Half of next year as well as the
seal which is sort of like I'd like to say sort of like model 3 old start to sighs. Yeah so that when that comes in
that is a cool-looking I just it would be it would be good to drive and I'll be able to share all of that.
Hopefully I can borrow one and then we can have a bit of a bit of a neat together. Yeah that'll be fun.
We can all my God like that organized I think that'll be great. So is the born Move aside from
the basis of one of the electric Volkswagens coming.
So that one of the IDS, it's supposed to be the sort of our sister to, like the ID3 speaking to the product people at Volkswagen who without the bone launch thing.
I don't think we'll be getting any of the ID cast the 2024.
Yeah, I think they've dropped the ball, big time and even next year because I asked them, I said, this is the same as the ID3 in some ways. And if this is this fun, and
then the ID3 would have to be somewhat, you know, relatively close to that, right? And they're like, are we won't
be getting that until the refresh?
Which is probably 20 24 at least, so it's a bit disappointing. But I would have preferred.
Let's just say late 40,000 sort of ID3 option as well.
He didn't have to have all the bells and whistles that the Cupra has. But, you know, and it doesn't
matter if it has a smaller battery, it would still be a good sort of He car but Volkswagen has other other plans. Yeah, it's interesting.
Selected the like was the ID Buzz.
I think that that's such a cool looking guy.
I would seriously love one of those but, you know, yet you're to eventuate here. And yeah, considering everyone
else just releasing on the front end and like, I mean, the Patty go for forever and ever and they still haven't released video.
So it says there's a lot. I don't know what's going on.
Hmm, I think they are still already gone government to tell them that they're not allowed to sell their petrol or diesel cars. You know, it's unfortunately,
looks like the the the change will need to be forced upon in some ways. I on another note, actually just
quickly. The Kona high-end I was today is
launched. Their new 2024.
Kona petrol, Diesel and hybrid. That looks like a cool car
photos app. It's an SUV but it looks like a
All kind of that kind directions.
It's the first car they've designed where it's inspired by the electric version. So usually there would do the
petrol and Diesel stuff designed for that but apparently they're going the other way and you can tell that in the design language from the back it looks a little bit like the ionic 6 and the rest so hopefully they can deliver those cars in like 23 24. It looks more like a star rear
hatch. It's Daria SUV instead of the
people that's it. Five is probably one of the best
looking cars I've seen in a very long time.
Like it's, it looks unreal. Like even though it's an
inverted commas SUV, I it's more of like a like a really like like a Ford Focus size kind of just just with you know, just with some cladding. But it already looks fantastic.
And I think that, I think they nailed it.
I think they've done a pretty good job of that and I think that whole range. The key ev6 may not look like,
you know, it's On to everyone's taste and ionic five appeals to some people, the Genesis GB 60s. Also based, on the same
platform, they drive really well like they've done and really, really good job. It's just extremely pricey.
Just just add, just a bit pricey for, for what they should be.
What I don't understand is why they're both on the Palisade floor pan, like the Palisade platform, which is the biggest car they make, you know, could they not like do one two-thirds, the size and actually, sell it for two-thirds, the price, but surely that make That's a war of them.
I think the, the market is the concern for them because, you know, it's hard for these companies to move and they're speaking relatively good margin on some of their traditional stuff and and the the platform development costs a lot.
But it's good to see that they are moving pretty quickly on this new platform that they do have the electric one.
But like you said, it's for whatever reason the to develop a platform must cost a lot of money.
Very you know that's why I'm Keen to see.
The but Daihatsu does with their partnership with the battery company. The biggest battery maker in the
world. Reese, also have you taken an
electric LDV for a test drive you, I did it last last month.
I think in New South Wales, the youth is not very good for nearly 100 Grand band and the people mover starts at hundred and six thousand plus on robes, so luxury?
People mover from LDV can see not many going well she's space and we were really, really sing their praises but they never, you know, lent us a car but have all did.
So how was the real sponsor, you know?
Yeah, mr. Allen Lucy.
I haven't been on for a while. So I think that means that I
think not much change over time. I did get a quote for the soft
top It went for the next slide, igloo in blue.
I think they'd get it from the states and they do it.
But is it looking a bit pricey? They want about thirty four
hundred dollars. Well, that's supplied and fitted
and pricing out the actual soft top itself.
If I were to buy it myself, I think I can get it in Australia.
Get well get it from the state's shipped to Australia for about maybe 12 13 hundred. So the rest of the money being
the labor for that, I feel. Yeah, it's a bit hate going.
It's a bit how you going like the Place.
That's a very good reputation for their work.
I'm pretty sure. None of us ensure I'm source and
software from the same place. They're sourcing it from, it's
just yeah, I'm not sure. I want to spend that much money
on just the soft, top alone. Because if if that was including
maybe the repair of the seat and the actual the gear knob, then I'd be very happy to pay that full amount.
I'm just saying, go ahead. So I'm still kind of in two
minds about it. I'll probably end up reaching up
back to the after Christmas, if I do.
But in, you know, in the interim, the MX-5 is going just fine. So very happy.
Took the I Su D Max towards first 3000k I guess.
Checkup service, a little kind of disappointed.
I booked in a time of 810, I got there, I was a little late.
Well they're 8:15 and really tall guy a couple cars in front of you so we can't finish it in so it's going to be late.
So but isn't the whole point, first of all, it's a check-up.
So it's either make sure things tight like you know, you're not changing the only not changing anything but it was what it was.
I Side to use that time wisely and head on down to the Hyundai dealership and test drive myself.
And I 30m Fastback, I'll know you didn't I didn't.
How is it it? It was a great great experience
I wasn't automatic he had general actually had two brand-new automatics on the floor ready to go.
And this was the demo, he gave me the keys to the OIC.
He said, look, we can order your manual, it will take a year.
To bring it in, but I've got these orders ready to go.
My thing is passing about 51 on the road, right?
So bad actually. Yeah.
Not bad. Yeah.
Now now Alan, we all know you're the doctor of hustling.
Yes. And you know from one brother to
another Brown brother, what I will say is the car markets about to experience some serious, serious deflation and and and you know have been close contact with what's going on on the ground. Man, some manuals May magically
appear as we get into February or March.
I, uh, I don't doubt that. Yeah.
And that's going to be across the board because there'll be a lot of hectic, that won't be able to afford that, by that stage without having to sell more drugs.
So, I reckon by February March. My man is the time.
They'll be plenty of stock around.
Yeah. I'm More than happy to wait as
well. Even evenly the fact that he had
these two on the floor. Ready to go.
He told me what he said. People could get financed and
they may have been. Also some of the hectic
individuals that. Yeah, speak of, you know, having
trouble with their the finance because, you know, when you rock up with a bunch of cash, they do have to ask questions about why the cat came from. So like I did enjoy the car very
much. The fact that, you know, is very
happy to, you know, squeeze the tires when you went for it.
And the green shift, yes, which animals were hilarious, you know, I gave it a good rip around and yeah, like the fact that the whole car stiffens when you actually put into, you know there's the sport model, the end mode rather than just the Explorer response that Subarus got which, you know, you kind of get upset a Subaru a little bit. You like that's the best you
guys can do. Just yeah.
Just you know, up the Third Wheel spins, that's pretty sad.
But the cool thing is to it. It's customizable.
You can pick and choose which which feature you want from the different modes as well, which is pretty.
Be cool. So I thought that was quite an
excellent car, but I also kind of got my eye on a Civic Type R.
That's the other car was going to suggest more man, but I've lost some, I spoke to a hundred dealer about it.
It was sort of mid seventies, I can't.
Yeah, that's the price. They're looking at which is
significantly more, but at the end of the day, I think, if I have only in the car long-term, What are probably be happier owning a tie bar then I would, you know and I thought Ian.
Yeah. I reckon this all chance.
Yes. So I drove it like 30 and on the
weekend July 30 and manual and you're right.
David is very customizable, you know you had the whole car in attack mode but suspension left in in just a normal mode and follows you throughout your back and that was the Gin because like the the car was just like it felt great, it wasn't bumpy and cry. It felt lost the noise.
It makes it shouldn't be legal the way pops him.
Bangs over 3,000 up. It's insanely loud.
I just I couldn't help but giggle like a schoolgirl.
I'm like this is this is actually ridiculous.
So yeah I you know I wouldn't discount and I 30 and I think they are cracking her. Yeah.
Like they're still strong Contender especially if I could get one of the many I think as a current, you know driver of cars. I you know, getting that
Everything else is going electric a mordant?
Automatic. Well I need to ask.
You need to ask yourself. Is it worth 20, K more?
Yeah, that's the question in. The future will it has spent
extra now? Hypothetically, speaking, of
course, I don't have money so would the to the extraneous pain now? Hypothetically speaking, would
that be worth a lot more? You know, 10 years down the
track with a Civic Type R If it was like this, hold on the boys will always say yes and and I would be normally in a grains with them but I think the fact that how you and I can't come up with a package, that's from the get-go.
So damn good and Been Loved by Automotive journalists all over the world. It's going to be held in high
regard and I don't think it's going to be two inverted commas, less of a car. If that makes sense.
Like yeah, it's a little bit down on power tool, Type R been in terms of probably collectability.
Yeah, I'd say type out all day. We day, but there's rumors that
the Hyundai stopping the end program anyway.
Like they're they're stopping like 30 and I-20 and so you might be onto onto until until little thing there and I and after driving it like 30 and I get it it was it was fantastic.
I fell in love with over this car with this.
This cars cracking and I would have said Civic Type R every day until I drove on and but I would still say Civic Type R but if it's over clip it's close to 80 grand if that's what they're after. 72, six drug away. Okay, so we do see, okay, well
that's that's that's fair, that's fair.
I think 76 is what's what's, what's seven?
Half gram between friends? I don't know.
And I think that just just for some context, my daughter guy bought in 2019, a 20-18 tired, far in that Championship White And straight off the floor from Brighton.
Obviously, they couldn't sell it in 2018.
Hence, it was sitting there in early twenty, nineteen fifty, two thousand dollars drive away. And that cars done less than
10,000 cases. It's been tracked a couple of
times but this guy looks after it so they'll be even on the used Market. You'd probably still pay 55 to
60 grand for 2019 2020 car or maybe higher as the main man.
It says I was looking at them because I quite like them and my mom, my mom is a phantom. She's like, why is going for
your the ones? I like, I'm like, what you mean?
The type. I just again the blue, 70 grand
plus G's and I'm like, oh, I can see why they're very good but oh, you know, it's yeah. One of the one of those things.
This is more of a more superficial kind of complaint, but I think, overall, the championship.
Why In the type, R Beats out any color, you can get me, it does, I think the blues stunning racing Blues, just can't afford or something great and they are coming out and Sonic gray as well, is the gr Corolla around that same price.
To, oh well, I don't even think that really surprise you for the Joker all, thank you. Yeah, I don't know if you people
that have got one order and they put a deposit for one, but are going to come out and say close to 80 k at this point.
Because if Civics are sooo top adviser, you know, 72 Grand, they're going to be well, this is all wheel drive.
This is got, you know, this that the other we can probably charge the same if not more. So yeah.
It's in the same manner as the are something the g.o.p.
Correct. Yeah.
Three-cylinder. Yeah.
Well, Car Talk top tip, here. Anyone looking at any of those
type of cars, be prepared to wait before placing an order because the car market is about to be flipped on its head.
The way things are going with Finance canceling, you're going to have people, that won't be able to purchase those tie bars that have paid the deposit at a contracted sort of price of 72, plus thousand dollars. So things are going to get quite
it interesting in the coming months.
So, you know, I reckon if people do except those cars by the time their land, they'll have to sleep in pretty quick because the finance companies aren't stupid.
They're not willing to finance a car, which they don't think it's worth that much in the in the future, that is, well, he's 14 year is there's a channel on YouTube, it which were charged, and I won't say which one it is, but they raced the brand new Type R against the previous type R and the previous type.
I was quicker. Oh dear.
I say that's the better buy so it was quicker in a straight line and I believe around like around the track in might have been to remembering. Yeah.
But if you're trying to buy this, the previous type of the 70 anyway. Well that's that, that's it.
Well, that's exactly right though.
So it I mean I can see why people are people are charging so much for the previous type II because of previous La Paz.
Bloody epic. Yeah.
Well, here's a proposition. Quickly album.
I 30 n in May, You okay, for fun on the weekends.
And I have a, uh, to on The Daily.
That's Where It's At. That's exactly.
If you got that sort of combination, you know, then you know I'm saying, you can park that H2 at the station and people will think it's the Hummer H2, like that type of experience. You're not gonna get if you just
get one pie, but I'll be parked in two lanes, right?
Never that way. They will think of stage.
Well, this is he. When you've got Holly and robbed
many heads in a greens with you, I think Oh, I think you've got an idea. Patrick.
Have a little day, right? Yeah.
Yeah. It's very rich coming from
Maddie. You know, that he has a hot
hatch as a daily? Yeah.
I think having a fun daily is very, very important.
It's a very important. Yeah.
That's what I'm trying to do here, but, you know, here, I'm trying to get this whole into have all H to just, just on that exhaust. Note, Maddie, do you know, if
that can, if that can be sort of turned down a bit?
Yes, you're going to use it as a daily.
Because if you're in the normal modes it's very much.
It's mild mild. Yeah.
But if you have it in full attack but like I said, the Jamie's where it's cool attack, but on just normal suspension, it's been nominal around. You say normal suspension, the
default suspension is actually Comfort mode, I think to us and they're coming Comfort Sport and in I think a bit like this, did it as comfortable and More than I thought I would be like, that's why it's so important that they really give you a full experience of what the car can do.
And I'm like the I30 instilled, strong consideration.
It's just I don't know. Something about the the type R
Top. I is a time.
It's specially. Yeah, February, watch this
space. I would like to see if we can
get a driver one. We have to speak to our to our
resident. EV Guy Ritchie Ross, and can we
can all kiss Big hook you up with anything.
You know I'm saying anything legal?
Of course of course. Yeah finally.
Yeah. And I think that's virtually in
a myint. Yeah that's that's virtually it
but we'll move on. Anyway guys into what we did on
the weekend which was classic, not Japan.
I wanted to bring the MR2 but obviously it was in a million pieces. So I wasn't able to bring it on
the day so I brought the Fiesta ST.
Scotty was there in his Liberty be for Patrick was there and I'll you know I'm going to give you credit.
Patrick biggest Gohan is of the lot because you had, you went down some pretty nuts. Pretty gnarly roads.
You know, hierarchs Fabrics became and the toughest for why do know decided he was going to do the Toge so he tailgate hard and it was I'll get i'll get to what you did in a minute.
But we also had mr. Mr. Allen leasing in the WRX STI
as you would say, I learned Japanese grow, very Classic.
All In All, I think a great day. I was want to thank you guys for
coming. I thoroughly enjoyed pass away
and we went to the other Some great roads, got caught behind some people on one certain road, which is very common, that always happens, but we ended up back at the pub and had some Beverages and some lunch and it was, it was a really nice afternoon parts of the day were well, the best holiday was saying like we're all waiting at the top of the other top of the Toge a few minutes later. Patrick rocks out gets out of
the car. Kisses the ground because you
made it because he's breaks emotionally fire.
So that was one highlight of the day.
He did numerous signs of the Cross before, going back down the hill. He's like, he's like, please,
please let me survive. Second thing of the day that
was, that was really, really good.
Was I well it's good in a way that also ban away because I realized that I spoke to you about this David as well.
I realized I'm never going to be able to like maximize the potential of the Fiesta ST. Like it is it makes sense they
want to on a road like that. Like the front LS d d if it's
help like hot hatches with LEDs and you would have figured this out when you do You drove that are 30 in.
It's like which crop there it. Should it defies what youth is
possible? Just like, and you've driven
type ours before David like you plan, your foot out of a corner and no wheel spin. Nothing just takes you out just
in time. Good way, not in a bad way and
it defied logic is I don't really push that that like a and I could have pushed harder, but I didn't want to because she really feels like they're like, this is just, I didn't expect it to be as good as it was. And I mean, Scott, He was
battling me on the Toge and he and he thoroughly looked like he was thoroughly enjoying his new tires differently, but I don't like mine. Look like a barge compared to
yours going around the corners. Yeah, I just was just blown away
by how good that like, LSD in a hot hatch is just, it's my tits, mind-bending mind-bendingly good.
So I have come to the realization now that Is you know blow me away and I'm really lucky and more and more.
Every time I drive it you'll have lots of the day gentlemen, Tom Paul out of the day I think was on the way there.
I was doing my absolute best to keep this at the speed limit, you know. It was a windy road, you know,
narrow here in there, do my best to keep the speed limit.
There was a general in the message to behind me who decided that he'd had enough of my Shenanigans of, you know, driving driving, the spinner. Who's going to overtake me over
a solid white line, right way. a camera car was so, you know, I
think as I was doing basically a tea, if you pass me, I think he will in the mail, learn a valuable lesson that was your number one, the full potential of the STI and you know that will probably remain for the rest of my But it was definitely compared to the last time we went to the blacksmith and which
ones are those? It doesn't say, but but we what
we keep that when he didn't know he did.
The the in road is I think I got hit with a bit of vertical and so I wasn't really taking the car very fast this time.
I definitely was a lot more spirited and it was about gaining the confidence of trust in the car.
Yeah so the more I kind of asked for the car, the more just delivered I never reached a point where the cars had no I'm you know we're not turning In that way, we're going to risk it out or anything. So it's just me being reluctant
to kind of ask the car just, you know, give more, which is the slowly got approach that you can't just, I guess hammer it and, you know, end up falling down the side of the road, you know, it will be interesting. Those are for the funnest thing,
but yeah, kind of having that extra experience of, you know, the cosmic. I just let go immediately.
It's, you know, you can trust it, you can't come to ask much more of it. Learn that over time, I think it
was probably one of the great experiences absolutely Maja.
Probably the moment, I kissed death, the moment, when I was trying to, I was right. Going down the second run on the
head and Road, and just behind Allen.
And I thought, you know, I'll try push it a bit if I'm going downhill. Listen, learn when you're in a
almost 3-ton truck with bad brakes.
And Mitch Match win. Run tires, with bright red
brake, went and the whole tub literally went Ain't ya that I whole life's like, slow down. Okay, childhood growing up,
let's pick what you like a moment.
Going to have a kebab on Sidney road again.
Sorry, were you thinking, am I ever going to have a nice Kebab on Sidney road? Again, I was thinking a lot of
things Rizal similar, but like I said, the whole I was the highlight. It was beautiful weather.
You know it was this great you so nah overall it was good experience. Working day for it.
Scotty pilot would have to be the first road that we went on the secret one. That was fantastic.
It was nice and tight and fast, and you could do all this while still, you know, under the under, the limit or legal, that's what made it so much fun that you're not pushing it to extremes. And looking over your shoulders,
you know if there was cameras there you still would have been fine. I think that.
Yeah that was definitely my favorite part especially when it came up to it and you put your hazards on.
Yeah. In front.
I like okay its own. It's begun I just remember.
I'm sorry. Sir I remember like we're on the
hidden Road, the first frightened and we all live together. I say that he put his houses up
my eye. Here we go.
And then you all will stepped on a.
I've literally say one spot in the rest of you just fine.
I'm like yeah. And I'm not going anywhere.
Yeah. The the tires felt really,
really good. A lot of turning compared to
previously with quite a bit of understeer happening.
There was none of that it was aiming and shooting straight in.
Through the turns, I reckon we didn't get held up on the downhill. You probably would have pulled
away, then I was taking it a little bit easier there because my brakes aren't the best at the moment.
I got to go. New pads and rotors but yeah, I
wouldn't be able to keep up as much if you're probably pushing it to the limit of our recommended.
I don't think I'd be able to. Yeah I I was too scared to do
that. So here it is.
Yeah, I mean it was tight and stuff.
There was not really run off room or anything so there's no way you wanted to just go too crazy but I think it was just the right amount. Yeah, on my downhill run and a
Kinder decided to make his move and yeah, I heard about that.
I'm glad the Echidna survived and he crossed safely removing Warriors. Was that Patrick was to like, I
don't know how close behind me. He was like, pet is going to
come his brakes on that good or it is going to get it but thankfully he was cross the road by the time Henry came along.
Yeah. No.
But again like oh we should have we should have recorded the moment. Patrick histogram it was like oh
we gotta make it it's it was just one of the scary like that moment probably the scariest moment ever like, in my driving his Is just, I know. And like I said to myself, don't
be an idiot. Don't be a hero.
You're in a you man, you enjoy the drive.
Go cruise and I tried to and I'll see him taking on and I'm like, you know, maybe I can catch up a bit, you know, it just, it's just set up for failure and set up for disaster.
So I learnt my lesson and I just, but I know who could have gone to Bunnings on the way home.
Picked up a big alone. It's true.
Exactly. From work and the factory just
checked in the car actually has very nicely now.
I like to say, so the overall look today was really, really good thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a the weather was
perfect. I'll keep my eye on a day on the
weather, the whole week. Yeah.
No rain. We've had like this entire
summer has been just crazy, so just that nice extra week of good, you know, good clean, whether you're not worried about it being damp from the day before or anything, you know, any kind of icy patches that kind of thing.
Just just a nice clean driving. Whether it can was not a proper
route review with that which go for lunch.
What was he lies? So well, the car Gods where
we're very kind, I think in terms of whether so there we after the black spur, Before we came on the way back, we stopped in and Hillsville went to the Grand Hotel.
And this time, the number of people walked in first and got where I would get a table as it was going to remember anything at all. That's a lot of story for
another day and we who we got, we got we got a table outside and we had some lovely film, my mistake saying I was good and you had the pork belly pork belly.
People got, I think Patrick caught a Machoke.
I'm not sure Obama. It's got to get the porterhouse.
I got steak, that was mint, very good.
And yeah, we they're probably like was three hours uragan.
Just just, just just talking and having it having a good catch up. And and it was it was a nice way
to end the year. And you know and just just just
to finish off rule. You know, a real nice room is
driving and not to just have a going to sit down with a drink and just, just just have a chat and and it was good it was it was really Really good then and it's a tradition that I think I want to keep going every year. So the only thing I was lacking
was some of the extra crew. You know which everyone has a
lot of these we did miss you. There we did what we did miss
you guys but it's ok, we miss you too.
Yeah. What we wanted to see us getting
schooled by anyone on the tailgate that would have been no need. You had to battle the other The
other cake are the celerio. And you know I'm saying?
Now quick question, gents was Ed able to make it, he wasn't he wasn't able to make it. He was in Sydney on a 45 million
dollar yacht so oh that's right. But I think we have to complain
about cars not being Japanese or classic about the event is now forever. Renamed, not necessarily
classic. Japan, Now just just before I
forget, I did meet this week. One of EDS friends, who is a car
Journal? Who also has 20 odd cars?
I know you talking about. Yeah.
And he, he mentioned that there's a competitor podcast that he has been on. So we might have to give that
podcast to listen as well. Not saying we plugged competitor
pod Laughs on this podcast. But drops a what we do?
Plug sister shows, it's a shows with the city assist.
Wow. Now that we know the
relationship side that say Gina. Yeah.
So we'll have to give that a list and when that when that comes out, but yes, I look forward to the crew, having a proper catch up when hopefully, before next Christmas.
But then a new year drive on your holiday, people that could be there could be different But overall great day, another successful classic. Not Japan will have to Father
find some other driving roads to go in Nicosia because I don't want to try to do something a little different every year, and we can go from there to tonight's last long time.
Before we get into, cryptic cars with Scotty is Cosby looking forward to in 2023 now? I know Robin.
How are you looking forward to your Transit van?
Whatever? That whenever that arrives and
your and your Jimmy? But but new car.
That on the horizon and virtually going to come out very very soon. Now, obviously in the EV space
is going to be tons of cars that that coming.
But there are still some other cars that from turn manufacturer that I'm that I'm interested in as well.
I wanted to see what you guys are keen on going into next year. What kind of cars you you guys
are excited to see and possibly sit in for me, it's the, it's the 2023 type are like, it's, that's that's right off the But that's that's the one that I'm most excited about.
I am it's weird to say this because like I was very judgmental on the previous one and how it looked.
But now, I kind of, I kind of really taking expect all type asked to be to look as crazy as the last one did.
And now I'm just like kind of looks like tame compared to compared to Unity the previous one.
It took me a while but I'm definitely grown on me and it's and it's definitely grown on me to the point where I should consider buying the the proof of the fk8.
But what about you guys? What new cars are you into
looking forward to? And in the New Year?
Well, quickly throw down in the little, the tie bar.
Of course, it's on the list of prospective cars, but earlier this year, ioc test-drove, the pole star among other things but also the Volvo XC 40 recharge, quite enjoyed that car.
I think the if you want something electrical, I'm not saying you definitely need 300 kilowatts.
But 300 kilos really does help sell it because the pole Style with the pole so that we test true, I think it was the single engine model that the 170 180 and all those 160 even.
I'm not a credential but somewhere in that range and just felt sluggish and he kind of you have that mindset of especially when you sat and mr. Wizard Tesla, you know,
performance, all three with the the Superfast ridiculous new decree a little Chris mode which hurts you insides.
You kind of an expectation of all electric cars from that point on, which is probably unfair.
But I think if you're going to include the added expense of the electric car, you know, the other Shenanigans at your house, with a charging system, everything else it should at least do something fun. And so, you know, a car with 300
kilowatts drink powder that seems to be about the gimmick is for, yeah, The Sweet Spot to sell it.
To me, at least you've got a picture of you at their head off. Asylum.
They'd like, we got, we got to make this guy.
Yes, this is in the city. So I got a second chance
somewhere. Close at home.
Actually went to that deal of spoke to them and they like going to church. I was like now we're done my
homework, as much as I'd like to have this car again.
I'm okay, I'll just want to just put the deposit down that way, you know, we can see what happens in the future and they're much nicer about it as well there.
Well, basically, this gets you in line and then when the cars already built you kind of get asked to confirm.
If you don't confirm at that point, we'll give you all your money back rather than keep any amounts.
So, I'm quite happy with that. But I've got my foot on the line
if I want to pull it out at the time, which I was told like, I'm looking at past June. Anyway.
Yes, you know, I can't do that. So that's something I am looking
forward to. I still haven't sold the car to
the finance department so you know, the that's going to take a bit of Persuasion to add another company car there.
But you know, we're working on that.
So that's probably one of the more anticipated cars for me.
The new Mustang. Yeah, yeah, agreed.
Yep. They did.
That looks pretty good. The ionic six doubles like a
CLS. It does it looks pretty funky
looks like it's kind of cool but you know what it just shows that the a you Falcon was a trendsetter.
It's That's exactly what I see when I see the.
I like I'm like the clearly copied that it's been setting Trends since 1998. When I when I when I first got
lost it's it's way ahead of its time.
Well I was looking at a picture of Annie on.
Are you Falcon 885? Yeah that is unashamedly and I
you felt as weakly. I don't think it's my cup of
tea, I think the I like fives more.
Yes, I like the sound of that. A bit more.
I think this one could use some revision.
But me, huh? Let's see if it's as Hardy as an
IU Falcon. Then then I'll take it any day
over amps and everything else. It's just have to prove it by
jumping around, you know, and not having the battery pack catch on fire and stuff. I mean, Patrick's friends were
they took a rental car into a skate park in allegedly, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly, allegedly there.
What else there is? The well, obviously, the gr
Corolla I'm looking forward to that one.
Yes, that looks fantastic on. Never get to earn one, but
still, I want to see some out on the roads and just see some more reviews and stuff on it. Pretty pumped on that one.
I think that's probably about it.
I think there's a new MX-5 shape coming out next year for memory could be wrong. Maybe the any, or I'm assuming
it will be like a full refund last week, a partial refresh, maybe a partial thing. So, when n D2 D2?
Yeah, I was actually down at Pin phones.
Then boom. The other day will build Nest as
it's called now. How many years is the master
tubing? Going?
It's still basically the same car.
It's got to be. Did they come out in 08 or 09?
Yeah, it late naughties. I've been they had a had a
pretty significant Fresh in 2016.
I want to be but still still has its the same platform.
It's the same car had a three or four brand new ones with brand new plates on, obviously, the boats coming from Hiroshima and they. Yeah, I couldn't believe it that
this still selling them. It's the Lancer of the, you
know, 20 choices. That's true.
What's your take on the new Mustang?
Look, you guys. Or you guys actually kind of
keen on it. I like it.
But the price point, the price that everyone order the Dark Horse? Yeah.
Yeah, I think they'll be disappointed because of what?
Martin Come With the same specs. U.s. spec is we'd like to make
one yeah. Oh, okay.
Yes. A there might not have all the
same specs and the price is going to be over 100k really for myself. Yeah.
Oh yeah. Wow.
The other thing. Who is that?
I believe the Dark Horse is done in limited numbers.
So everyone that's putting their order will be not.
Not everyone's going to get one, they'll be disappointed.
Have you guys put an order? You know know you're here to
take, you know what to take? Yeah, it is.
But like it's not like like it's not a raw muscle car where you can modify. It looks though, is it an update
when I reckon like land on the face leaves headlights?
Yeah, that's awesome. I like the shape, let's stop all
they've gone for. It doesn't look as good as our
one day. I think that's the probably, the
best shape was, it was like, seat with a refreshed in 2015.
It was, yes. Yeah.
So yeah. So people be, I think
disappointed when it does come out in the, in the cost so on and and they might not be able to get one for a year or so by time. Anyway, even though they put
their names down already, so it might be 20 24 by time.
They get one that anyway, because it's going to be the last last October. Still people have a good day at
once, like, like they have to wait.
Ammonia. Because I closed the order book
already. Yeah.
So after I get twice as well, yeah.
Then I suppose the other cars are the four hundred Z coming.
It's coming. It's out, but I come in.
That's true. Yeah, I saw on the road the
other day. Yeah.
Okay. Gunmetal gray.
But it's, it's not, it's not, it's officially out.
Is it really? Yeah?
Yeah, it's got a few like think. Yeah.
No I saw Titus. What's going on?
Cause listen Australia had to press cars when they were launching their cash cow and the new Pathfinder, I just to show the Dealer's what they've got but literally they just driving from the secure car park at the HQ to their open car park to show the dealers, and then drive them back again, which is the car park is next to the building.
So, clearly, not a lots going on.
People are quite frustrated by not getting this, when I think the dealer took my what I want. Last year in August.
So yeah, not a lot else happening on an update front yet. I think listen is has taken the
old as an artisan. How to fulfill them?
Do you still have the one on order?
No Ike. I think I took the refund back
in support of February March, okay, but, I know others that didn't and they're still waiting one of them got so sick of it.
They ended up finding a nice 370Z.
In Adelaide flew over there and bought it and draw it back and just yeah, I got rid of the order.
So and this this guy was is 23. And the insurance company was
going to charge for one and a half Grand to ensure him.
For the 400 said, who couch a wise decision to get a 370, which, you know is different. But I guess still a sports car.
Yeah, great. It is also known 11 GT3 RS
coming out. New update. 2023.
Speaking of cars that are unattainable well financially, I'm Gigi two-piece coming out and you won.
It's a convertible new SLS coming out C63 it's a hybrid.
Wow. Kind of share button.
They obviously put being a bit to Poland tons for a through C classes, just Insanity. Its fastest route.
Like, they like does 0 to 60 miles an hour.
In 3 seconds that you can and you do that three times.
And then a battery is flat, right?
And 3kj that. Yeah, three times a week day.
Yeah. But you have to wait for it to
charge back up again. So you might be able to freshen
your free time to race mode, if you, right?
Yeah. So it is heavy points.
Yeah. So anyway, yes.
So I think. Yeah, absolutely disguised as a
four-door. There's undisguised photos.
Yep. It's a thing.
Okay. Yes.
Diff poo be pleased. Yes, I'm going to tell Steve
that this evening, and we might be heading down to the zoo.
In the next few days, is why do you here for one?
That's all. Well, yeah, but if you get in
early in the night, Patrick, it's pretty much the same.
But these guys, they definitely the jaw crawler looking forward to that. And as well, not really new but
new is they are new manual version of the G are super, as well. That's about the time came for
as well, because I've been hearing it especially in the states that people have been revealing him.
Yeah. Fantastic gearbox and completely
changes the by whole dynamics of the car itself.
So, definitely came see that on the road we were talking about that. Colin, what on the weekend,
Patrick? And we'll saying, you know, that
car as a as a package against 370Z, if you know, her kind of around the same money that you can get like a manual.
So, you know, probably the super will be a little bit more expensive. Maybe the soup is the more
compelling package. That's what I think.
It's you're getting pretty much, you know, a very, you know, well capable car, you know, under 100 Grand give or take, you know.
And now the offering it with a manual transmission its and despite it being a BMW, it doesn't like, you know and the characteristics of a BMW as we discussed on the weekend, you know, Toyota pretty much fully re-engineer, the entire engine Nuri centre-back change. Everything made it.
Up to this standard. So II from day one I love always
a big fan of it so you know very keen to see what's it.
We they would be very cool. Patrick I was looking up looking
at that as well apparently super I just a few stats 130 they've sold so far. They see.
Oh well. So I mean with manual, surely
there's got to be a bit higher demand than that.
And now there's a couple Feels like the 400 said.
I think the super, I'll probably get here before the 400 said.
Yeah. And yeah, that's going to be a
fun. I think would be a really fun
car. Patrick, I love you believe
everything. A lot of journalists oversee,
the same, the actual manual, Supra is a lot better than the for hundreds of then I like this thing.
If feels a lot better, if it's all something.
So very good cop came for both cars by 100% And you know, you know, because I have to supervise kind of, you know, so That too far away to obtain. So, definitely very keen in
saying what happens with them in the future.
So we'll have to see him. If I ever get my hands on to
even to test drive one day recognized be awesome.
Yeah. Sorry I think they also don't an
update on the BRZ is anti 686 M. Yeah I've seen it in the eighty
Sixers but yeah those ones that Mode is that I think there are two point four correctly from wrong.
Apparently they have I've heard they Hammer very well and that 60 in 6.5 in there but also not people illegally more a success.
Really, what do you want you once they're over the pad away hey Toyota will be happier that their cars and are getting destroyed but there was a 50 Grand as well.
Yeah but it's still cheaper than the Civic Type R.
Yes And made him and made him do the changes and made it, you know, up to Twitter's reliability standards, which are incredibly High.
I think I'm, I think I'm taking Subaru.
I think I think Super is very exciting.
Still BMW, isn't it kind of this thing, really isn't the issue fees? Yes, Hank into he's kind of
based that the change the change the beat but it's an infotainment system or BMW. Yeah.
Also from when I saw pictures, I go yeah that looks like it.
Yeah, I got it. I only vote to the BMW M3
touring, Aragon Aragon at the M3 as it looks is a sedan looks horrendous. Has, but as a touring, I
actually kind of like it. I think it looks really really
good. Even though the, even though the
buck teeth friend is kind of still a bit how you going, but they're like the look of it. I like the back.
I understand. Yeah, I like the back end to.
Yeah, the touring version looks good but I just had a front I'm sorry, I'll have to post a bond in what I hope you out and walk around the back of it. Just look at the always going to
pack front front interrupt. That's really what other cars
gentleman before we move on to quit because that we're looking forward to in 2023. I don't have to kind of connect
next, you don't like next year, but the year after the new Porsche boxster's of electric energy, there are doing internal combustion anymore. So the next thing I've been in
boxes with electric you've made based on that mission a concept probably like these like crazy or something.
Okay just put it into a much more simpler.
Get rid of all the screens in the take hand which is like 3,000. And it literally goes from one
end from the driver side all the way to the passenger side.
And that's a, that's a special package.
There's some screen package. I mean, who wants that?
No idea if the Sigma Phi, all of that, put the power in have just small set of maybe 11 screen Max, make a driver orientated.
That's going to be a super fun car.
Yeah, it's always looking actually.
I love to get one of those icy Pavements all the time.
That's a very cool car, but obviously also shoot interview with a good friend, Mike Brewer. Hold out your hand and do
interviews, where is taken and like a meeting at the turbo.
You just got the, you just got the tape of the taken.
S is that, like, the next step up, or whatever it is?
Yeah. And he's like, because is like,
I drove, I drove the turbo and I drove this and he's like, he's like this one, you know, there would virtually no difference in a bit like at all, except unlikely.
Except for like the body panic. I like the front body kid and
I've got a few other bits and pieces and he's like I prefer the standard taken anyway. So and he's like he's like I
added all my options on there and it still was cheaper than a database model turbo. So he's like I got all the all
the goods and it's cheaper. It's slower by Point 1 or 2 of a
second. He's like he's like big whoop.
Like I got a better car than 10 database model based model.
Take an S which is shows how expensive they are, but the performance, we are spoiler alert.
They don't have to bow, correct? Yes, They still call the turbo,
it was, you know, which is, which is weird.
But anyway, just just on the 400 said 84 have been delivered, apparently so far. That's what I thought.
I thought was a customer. One's been delivered.
Here only only 10 last month, but I don't think, I mean there's very few casts a lot of them probably just dealer struck that sitting around but they are a couple of.
I think it's just the Proto one, the yellow one has been popping up everywhere. There's Couple people that I,
that I follow from Melbourne and Sydney that have got, there's a few weeks ago or maybe even a bit longer than that.
Actually, maybe a couple months ago, they got theirs, but that's all I've seen. I've never seen one of the road,
nothing moving cane as well as much as I think they're useless.
I'm just kidding to show, just when I'm on the road to start how useless? They are down F-150 maybe next
year. Yeah, two big men that Two
massive. Even with the Silverado and all
that. Like in the Dodge that just
talking at the touch of rams getting around, all my God cement for our roads but I'm going to Siri Patrick, right?
Talk to me through that. The all these people that bought
that are buying Rangers, when the F-150 actually drop stop, stop buying their ranges and be like, oh I need to be a mortal man. Could they need to stand you to
compensate for something else? So they will go by the F-150 and
lately a lot shorter? Yeah, the Raiders are angel,
will be lots of a lot. I don't even get into lighting
here, which is quite interesting.
No, I think they can't produce enough of lightning at all.
They can for, I think last month producing less than 5,000 TVs.
And they've got a very good shot at being quite good at it.
And they have a plan to produce 600,000 TVs by the end of 2020 for. Okay at at 5000, they're
producing about 10% of that, six hundred thousand a year, the moment. So yeah I think the load demand
in America is just far too high for us to get them.
But there are some cars like I'm really looking forward to the type R hopefully not at that price because I think that's just Honda's you know just taking a piss a little bit with that sort of pricing. Good luck with that.
Click the go shading it down. Yeah, and I'm sure like there's
a reason ride like obviously people want that sort of car, that's So that's all good. I just think compared to the
last generation. It's not set.
It's not a huge step up to justify, but then again the last generation and I think the recommended retail price was still in late mid-sixties, late 60s.
No, nothing you've done. It was that much.
Okay, okay, okay cool. Yeah so it's a huge, huge bump
up but yeah, definitely looking for the manual Supra in You guys know I love my cake, ours. And at the moment, you can't get
any k electric cars. So, I've got a, I've got a new
one, which I don't know if anyone in Australia, is really heard of the Fiat. Abarth. 500 E, scorp has risen
mama name over. Maybe I got it wrong with
scorpan. New is my thingy, hang on, I'll
share it. And this thing is Bloody cool.
Like, but Fiat squat expression of Interest page on it has an engine noise generator to make it sound, like it's doing something it's angry so I can look at the islands.
Ha ha ha. It looks like a character from a
movie. It's yeah.
Cause I think that's it, Cryptid cars with Scotty Scotty, you can explain the rules to our lovely gentleman here.
So we know the rules, were, cryptic cars, all right, the rules is I'm going to give you a car named now, I always stick with the car brand so you'll hear will be Nissen or Ford or whatever it might be. But then I'll use a different
word to name. The model of the car.
You need to try and match it up. I have put in a couple of
movies. He's in there too for this one.
So, get ready for a couple movies.
Some of these cars are old, some of them are a little bit new most of them, probably not really sold here in Australia.
Oh, we'll have to really use your cart and knowledge.
Are we ready? Let's do it.
Are you able to keep score Maddie one, step ahead of you Legend. Here we go, question.
Ian one is Nissan head of state? David David president spot on
quick on that one there. David Wolfe JDM mate for life.
All right, so there's a couple of them where I'll give you the first First name. And then if we still not getting
it, I'll give you another name for to okay, okay?
Okay. So the first one here is the
Chevrolet Gypsy, Malibu, not Malibu or I could call it, the Chevrolet traveler, American viewers are gonna be screaming at the radio right now. Wrist is no, no, I was thinking
Chrysler. Sorry, wrong one.
I was doing Christ. The Voyager anyway.
Okay, it's a trap. You spend your life traveling a
lot. You would be a Alan.
Got in a Chevy Nomad. Yes yes whoo Nomad nice.
All right question 3 Oldsmobile. Caishen well, Alum.
I've got no idea because I holiday.
Yeah, I made an Oldsmobile holiday.
They look pretty cool. All right, question 4 is going
to be a movie? I'll let you know.
Look, it's not the best movie but it seems some of them popping up, you know. You might know.
I have another clue to help you out with this one as well.
By the way, this could be the last movie one you did.
I got tons of tons of messages on?
Graham saying hahaha to was it was the slide.
The Oriental slide. Oh yes.
So this one is two words so you got to put them together.
Above navigate. Above navigate 2017 starred.
Scott, Eastwood Yes. What's your guess is raised?
No idea. But Sky Map.
No no. I mean you guys you guys?
Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Nah, it was overdrive as in above and Drive to navigate.
I wouldn't really recommend to watch the movie.
Anyway, if you want a bit of a laugh than maybe, but that mr.
Elom to David won the rest of us, 10.
We're all right, here we go. Question 5, we're looking at
Ford here, Ford rumbling foul now foul as in f0w.
Rumbling foul. Rizz rizz Ford, Thunderbird.
Yes. The Thunder.
Yes, it's a foul as an fo WL, so you're not thinking of FO you a rooster. I think for something.
Alright, question 7 now just so you know, that only America called it this name, okay? So think of the American market
for this one, the Volkswagen item.
David David thing. Yeah, Volkswagen Thing.
Such a good name for a car. It's like up exist, exclamation
mark. Don't forget these.
Yes, don't forget that. That's the important part.
Alright, question 8, tonight's going to be a movie?
This one is more Classic this movie to name.
One part of this is a reference to The Simpsons.
All right, so people from here, don't get angry at me because this is The Simpsons and how they use this name.
It all makes sense in a moment. Can you tell her, they're just
getting there, isn't it is the movie is called the cheese-eating surrender, monkeys Bond.
So here remember If you remember what the symptoms were talking about and they called these type of people cheese-eating surrender monkeys then you'll have that bit and then he'll mm but pick me The French Connection.
Yeah, The French Connection. Yeah.
Yeah. I had to throw in a little bit
of Simpsons on that one. Sorry if you are French.
My apologies. He's it's just a reference from
The Simpsons know. I don't know.
Regularly listens to us. No.
Sorry. And he basically all he's saying
at the moment is basically Source.
Mr. Gabriel gets his outrage jeans.
Oh, I bet he is. Alrighty, question number 9, Is
the AC expert expert? I see expert when I see cars the
brand. Yes.
Hey, c. As in the car brand AC, David
David, I see professional? No, no, not professional.
He's channeling my inner eleme. Just yes, this a hasty expert or
a see Master. If you know your AC cars, other
than a cobra, obviously, I mean, they did Matthew it wouldn't be a seed atonal it. Nope.
Robert Holley. Your the show you must the other
Shelby guys, you should be should help others, not really?
But yeah, it's not as any of the yeah, the carburetor that I'm aware of. So I see.
Oh Alum, the AC master. Now, do you see the AC Professor
know? Well that would say a pretty
cool. Someone needs to make that as a
car. I was going to pull it's a
professional. But here are the ones that I was
thinking of the verb instead so trying to scramble my brain for another one. But any more hints for his
career? Well I think it's the first car
that I see made from memory. Doesn't help at all.
Okay. All right.
He's a new clue at the start off.
Now it's Sure boy. Yeah.
Okay, everyone's back in. It is something that you can do
in tennis in tennis. Yeah, serve you can do that but
when you serve, you're on the right track, it's linked with that. It's serving Matthew Casey
return. No.
Yeah. But what now that would just
give it away if I say the next week, Pink too.
Cryptic to think about when serving.
Yes with AC Djokovic. Are you see throw ice?
Yes, there we go. Got there.
That was one of the hardest one we've ever had.
I'll sing you a lot. My next clue and I'm like, man.
That just completely gives it away.
If you win a facility or something going.
There you go. Got one, the best, man.
Three points. I could be tellin ya.
It's my quiz so. Okay.
All right, that brings us to question 10.
I've gone back to Plymouth it again and it is going to be two words to name this car. The Plymouth Street Sprinter,
Matthew, Matthew Matthew so you can just say it Roadrunner Just saying maybe Roadrunner. I didn't say it.
I didn't say David.
Who's the was? Yeah.
Roadrunner. That's the bird and I'm like
