150 gallons or something like that whatever it works out to be 100 gallons and 300
Smaller versions and we're gonna call it the signature signature edition and I made like a janky label and a janky ball

The the gt3 needs to get painted, but the gt3 was done

The kind of reach the end of the rainbow of what I'm planning to do from a modification perspective
So when the e46 and the civic and the s2000 when they're done and
You know, I'll know just from the feeling I get from it. Do I feel complete? Do I like it?

What my suspicion is it's probably not going to be good enough because like I finished the civic and
I don't really want to repaint it
But it's in the pain is like 80%
You know after spending you know hours on it and that paint doesn't respond very well to chase and scratches
So I have two failed clear coat spots and where it burned through the clear I

Dozens and dozens of scratches and nicks and you know rock chips and stuff like that on on the car
You know if you have one or two of them, I'm okay, but dozens and dozens of them is not ideal
So am I gonna be okay with that? I know here's what I think it's going to happen and here's the the beauty of my
Evolution here and my ability to cope with life
Is that I'm not obsessing over it. I'm pondering it. I'm considering it. I'm enjoying it
It's holding me back from spending well, I didn't on the E46 but on the on the civic
It's holding me back from spending too much money on it and just going all out
and
I'm still spending quite a bit on it and then
Will at the end of the rainbow when I finish the car and I'm driving it and
Theoretically enjoying it or not. So the the crossroads is I don't enjoy it
I the car is not what I remembered it. I thought I wanted to have it now
I don't want to have it's taken up space and I get rid of it. That's one path
The other path is I love having a driver. I love that. It's not perfect
And it's great, you know, it's fine
the other path is, you know, maybe I'm enjoying it, but then a
1200 mile museum piece shows up like my other cars and I find a buyer
for mine and then I
You know, then I buy the expense by the by the 110000 dollar, you know
E.M.1 Civic with 1200 miles on it and then do do it all again
That's the likely scenario and that would be a lot of fun to me

So I'm I'm changing up my process again a little bit
But also as order-to-bottle and a few packets of touch on all my vehicles are coated with ADS Pro
And I use drying aid every wash. They are all still slick. How do you recommend I use it?
Yeah, I mean, I've just been I don't know whenever I'm feeling like my car
It's probably all placebo here and probably all in my head, but I'm feeling like oh man
Like my my model s I went like three weeks between washing it. We got really dirty. I'm driving it every single day
I'm gonna do the same touch, you know, touchless wash process with drying aid
But I don't know I just feel better if I just kind of hit it with a little touch on and that you know
It's the fourth week and I'm washing it. That's how I'm I'm envisioning it
It's just like I was like a little glow up to my

Don't even know if it sticks, but but it seems it makes me feel good. It functions well
And I think I mean this built-hambur process that I've been you know
imported into my my daily life and my car washing life
Has made my coatings
Maintain and then that's the that's the biggest thing. I've noticed like my coat my the coating just lasts
And infinitely longer. It's not getting all crunchy and contaminated

And so we're gonna shoot the you know shoot the series
So each garage will get three videos three or four videos of the entire installation process
But each video needs for YouTube it needs to stand alone
And so if I want to have any sort of growth and if I want, you know a future for my employees
Then the channel has to grow
And if I keep doing what I've been doing, it ain't gonna grow. It's gonna shrink and die and disappear
And you've seen that happen with many many channels
Shoot even like Sam the cooking guy
You would get you know 500 to a million views per video and that he hasn't adapted hasn't changed and so
You know that I was looking at the channel the other days gets, you know 50 to 80,000 views
Which is a fraction of what he got and and I find that there's ebbs and flows and channels and you
You can have periods of struggle or advance and survive in advance or disappear
So I have to change something has to happen. Otherwise, it's going to die
So that's why I made this channel. So this channel becomes the old obsessed garage channel
I do whatever the heck I want and so we can all come here that care about this and we can be included and we can stay here
And then I think you're still gonna want to watch every og video because those videos are gonna be really well done
It's gonna be produced. Well, it's gonna have a point. It's gonna be beginning middle and end
We're gonna learn a lot from each garage that we build you're gonna see different styles different takes on how the garage should be done
And so those three things that we pick
Let's again the og wash station
We're gonna deep dive into the wash station in that project and we're gonna send you from that video over to the og
Micro channel or to the Matt Mormon channel to dig into the detailed installation of it all the nuts and bolts and everything

And for the vast majority of humans, that's what they need to see

It's also quite a bit different in that I'm not like pursuing and chasing the

And so the obsessed garage will be occupied by you know a video or two a week of all of that garage stuff
And then the cars that go in them and all in the story behind it
We talked about home Wi-Fi
Yeah, that's what this channel is for
Yeah, I just basically separated out the channels because YouTube was destroying us. I mean, I'm getting
680,000 subscribers, which we're stuck with no growth and
And getting 7,000 views of video note and even you guys weren't getting the videos
So even the the hardcore long-term OG audience wasn't it wasn't getting any any of the stuff
So I'm like this is dying a slow death here
And so I tried a bunch of stuff, but it's very clear to me that that the trial and error was useful
But really what I need to do is I need to
I need to be the garage guy, which I enjoy the most
And then my relationship with
The Ernie's and the and the Byron's and the Fred's of the world and the Johns of the world when we do these garages
My relationship with them
And is the is I think the the the sort of the secret sauce here
So you'll see that come through
And I'm not going to show up in the beginning of each garage
That's the thing that we're going to kind of have to have to manage
I'm showing up when it's
That was the other lesson learned like when I did Adam LZ's house or when I'm doing
Doing these big projects
The team that's there the video team and Mike and the other installation team
They're working hard and I'm there working hard just as hard with them, but they don't have to run the business

And so what I need is to have you know
Let the people do the job that I heard them to do and then I can show up and we put together the series
And I think we can do that very authentically

First of all the likelihood of getting to where I'm at today is very very slim
for most people

It'll just take up like a big business a bigger business
A bigger small business or something that goes public
The the odds of me no matter how much work I put in getting to an Andy for Silla level being you know
multiple hundred millionaire
Is is very slim
The greater odds is that it goes I go bankrupt and have to start over
So to go from 30 with no path
To where I'm at is again extremely unlikely
I had a path when I was 30 the strong path
And and and and even though my path was never written
I was always in hot pursuit toward a path at all times like when I was 30
It was right around the time when I said to Michelle. I said, you know
I'm making it as a financial advisor
I started to see very clearly that you know being a financial advisor is gonna be great
It's gonna be a great life. I was gonna make you know 2100 the million dollars a year for the rest of my life
It was gonna be awesome
When I was 30 I was probably making like a hundred and thirty grand or something like a hundred and fifty grand and
I'd started to I made it and I was starting to grow
and
And I couldn't ever see I could tell you know by the time I was 40
I was gonna be a you know multi-million
Dollar producer, which means I was gonna be making you know 70800 out of a million bucks a year
Let's say a million bucks a year seven figures and I could see that
But what was I gonna I was I was kind of concerned at 30 is like what am I gonna do from 40 to 60?
And I was just gonna sit there and just clip the coupon. I just it just couldn't envision myself doing that. There's no way
And and so I said to her at one point. This is you know, this is gonna sound sound bad
But I said to her just out of curiosity not out of thinking I could I could do it
But I said, you know, I don't know where I'm headed here, but I feel like I'm destined for something bigger than this
This is great and the path is gonna be awesome. I'm gonna get to live a life that very few get to live
It's gonna be cushy. comfortable. I'm gonna take care of my clients. I'm gonna make a lot some money
And it's gonna be awesome
But I feel like I'm destined for more and should I be pursuing?
Becoming the CEO of Merrill Lynch, you know, I had the audacity to say that, you know behind closed doors
Is that where I'm headed? Is that what I'm destined to do?
And so at 30
The he's saying mid 30s
So at 30 I I didn't know what my path was I but I had at all so what I'm getting at it at all times I had a
a
Unquenchable insatiable desire to go
Further in the path that I was on and
What continued to happen to me to even to this day is that I have parallel paths that kind of
They kind of come up alongside to me and sometimes those paths veer off and like I was gonna be a wolf sub zero
Representative and then that path kind of takes a turn, you know, and I let it
You know, I don't I don't let it get on my path or I don't follow that path
and this this process of
of
Discovering and pursuing
while
You know while my my curiousness continued to bring on other concepts or other ideas
Is what allowed me to you know to get here?
You know, I don't I don't know how much money I make but to live my lifestyle
Probably cost a you know a couple million bucks a year, you know the equivalent
I don't have a salary of that. I mean I take a salary of
140,000 bucks of which I contributed the vast majority of that, you know a good percentage of that say
80,000 of that to my 401k or no
45,000 of that to my 401k for Michelle's and my 401k
But the lifestyle, you know what it would require is
Extreme pursuit extreme focus all some luck
a lot of mistakes
And so that's to go from say 35 or you know 30 to 47
So say you had 10 or 15 years
The problem is is remember I had a sort of pretty vast
Educational background so I had an engineering diploma and an engineering mindset where I learned to solve problems and pursue
And then I learned how to sell and then I learned how to sell even more, you know
When I learned how to sell in a more sophisticated platform at Merrill Lynch
Because I've told this story a bunch or I sort of created this this structure this progression talked about this progression. I
Learned to sell in a retail environment where people walked in the store
And I didn't have to create the customer the customer came in as long as they took care of them
I maximized the sale. I got a percentage of the profit
Then the next level was I got the job at Merrill Lynch and Merrill Lynch had a platform
But they didn't have a retail customer coming in so I had to create the customer
So at you know, it's sound advice. I had a platform and a customer at Merrill Lynch
I had a platform, but no customer and then obsessed garage
I had no platform and no customer and so I had to create both and to create what was the pathway
And then you know, I don't know what the next form of that is
It's probably creating multiple platforms in a much quicker fashion, but I still haven't quite figured this one out yet
I'm still floundering around attempting to figure out what this one is and when this one can when my people
When the company can can really take us to the next level
Which I think they're on the verge of doing so they're gonna take all of us, you know, me with them
on this next phase
Inside of my vision, so I'll cast the vision and that's what I'm sharing inside the hex. I'm sharing with you the vision
And then if they can do the the granular detail, they're the ones that have to do the execution if we can do that together
Then then it you know, I may get to the point to where you know obsessed garage is a well-oiled machine
Then I can decide to take on Wolf sub zero or I can decide to take on some other, you know
Those those offshoots a little too early
So I think to answer your question as I've sort of reasoned this out
I think you have to one have some some solid prospects
So you've had to invest it in yourself and
education and and skills
And and selling is a skill, you know
It may link bedrock and so I had a solid foundation of mathematics and then I developed and added to that foundation through
Mathematics so problem-solving of mathematics sales
Then financial
And so and this is my path and that's your path
And then I was set up because I'm not I wasn't I wasn't privy to be that I was gonna be an entrepreneur
And wasn't didn't come as natural to me. I didn't understand it
And and so I wasn't like that born entrepreneur. I don't think I think I had to develop into one
And so depending on what your tendencies are on what you know
What that that base building or that bedrock afford you the ability to make it to?
But without risk-taking you don't get the seven figures. I
Mean what job I mean
Even if you're a doctor if you're like a neurosurgeon
Without some entrepreneurialism, you know
Unless you're just like the greatest in the world and you have a really entrepreneurial entrepreneurial driven
Hospital that you're working for
You're not making seven figures, you know, you're not chasing you're not getting down that that that path without some risk
I mean you probably had to create your own. I don't
Make it stuff up your surgery center or you'd have to have some real estate
Holdings or you'd have to have some other things to create some other income streams
but you'd have to
You you know if you if you haven't like then had this insatiable appetite and desire I
Think I think what I'm getting is I think we need to have some realistic
Expectations that you know, maybe that isn't happening. Maybe maybe the pursuit is to like really maximize
a career path I'm gonna be the best welder possible and
I'm not gonna start my own welding company
But I'm gonna figure out a way to be really really efficient and really hone my skills and make you know
180 grand 250 grand shoot
I think welders can make even more now because it's you know, the trades seem to be you know
Increasing the increasing in number of people that do it and increasing in value because of that because of the simple supply demand of available labor
so
You know, I think that I would be wary if my career path was in something in
Services that could be rendered, you know useless with you know increasing
Speed at which technology can kind of take over for things
So you want to find something that you know can provide in a substantial value

So here's how I think about it
leather is a
Permiable breathable thing. It's skin of an animal right so it's real leather is
Breathable and same thing with vinyl. I believe is still a breathable material and
If you're gonna coat something if you're coating paint you're putting a sort of a nano thick, but you're putting a solid layer
Which theoretically I think would clog up the pores of the leather
Now to me, I'm not concerned with spilling a bunch of pasta sauce on my seats
And I'm certainly not I don't drink soda. So I mean, maybe I'd spill some water, but I don't really even drink in the car
Maybe when I get out of the gym, but usually I've drank I drank all my water right after the workout and drinking the kitchen like a grown-up
So I'm not carrying liquids around and I'm not like dropping and I'm not eating pasta in my and cheeseburgers in my car
If you have to eat that often we got a problem here, we need to revisit this
Ask me how I know I've been down that problem road. Even then I wasn't eaten everywhere. I drive anywhere. I drive
so
Leather being breathable also leather us og types aren't eating cheeseburgers in our car
We don't need any any
Sophisticated protection the biggest thing we need to protect against is dye transfer if you're into denim or something like that
But even then that's probably pretty rare
So the biggest thing we want to do is just just battle wear and tear. So we want it to be breathable
We don't need it to reject water or repel water
We just want it to stay nice and clean and protected
In my mind now, I haven't proven this I haven't seen this under a microscope
But if you take and you put a leather coating on the surface of leather
That you would theoretically be clogging up the pores
The other thing is if I put some sort of permanent product on leather, I can't just
Polish it off can't take it off. So what if I do it wrong and do something it doesn't wear properly over time
Now lots of the leather coatings have been out for a really long time
but
What I tend to do is follow what a leather expert
And and then I want them to confirm that to me through, you know, some sort of data
And so the guys from leader max have sort of proven the next level to me
They've sort of showed me some some images under the microscope and really made their case which made a lot of sense to me
and so the concept of I want the leather to be I want the leather cleaner to be a
specific pH I
Want the leather conditioner to not be permanent and to be breathable and not clog up the pores
But I want it to sort of protect from dirt dye transfer keep my leather from cracking
Keep my leather from having problems
So I think the biggest you can do for your leather is to get heat rejecting UV rejecting window tint
If you don't want to darken up the car then do 80% or 90% all the way around 70% all the way around
I've kind of been airing more toward that on my cars lately anyway
Although I really am enjoying since I drive my Model S everywhere. It's real dark. It's kind of reminds me why I used to do that
So I don't think it's a scam, but it's something I don't want on my leather
so I would want to
You know to to you know coat the leather
Not with a permanent product, but I would want to treat the leather with more of a conditioner than a coating

I'll see your make all on depending on how thick it is all four sides
And then and the ends and then I'll throw it on the grill and let it get to a 125 degrees and
Then take it off and for however long it cooked
Let's say it was eight minutes or ten minutes, then I'll let it rest for that long and then I eat it
The other way that I cook often is on a skillet
like on a carbon steel so a

Carbon steel pan so a taller pan I heat it up add a little bit of avocado oil
same seasoning

Salt or carnivore black seasoning and then I will sear it one side other side
And then then after it's seared then I'll add rosemary garlic and butter and I'll do like a butter sort of basting and flip
That's the other way that I'll do it if I don't want to go out on the grill because it's generally would be too because it'd be too hot
