playing with that newt on my E46. I've got like 50 parts to put on E46 so I was
working through that. I like to work on a clean car if possible so I started

by. Let's see am I two weeks in a row that I do it last week? I think I did. So
yeah I look at the podcast and I see you know I gotta keep I gotta stay
consistent on this. I mean you know four or 5000 of you watch it on
YouTube and then four or 5000 people download it for watch it listen
to it on whatever other platform so I should probably probably commit to
this. But I sort of use this as a news update for the week and thanks to you
guys who hang out with me and asking questions help keep me on track but I've
been I've been in the back of the garage having a blast working on working on my
cars. You know the Civic finished polishing that. I just put that video up
and then I finished the the stock wheels and I was planning on rocking the
stock wheels for a little while and then I found a set of 16 inch TE's tees
Sonics so not quite ideal. The Sonics are a different spoke so it's not it's not a
flat face it's more of a concave face but I've got some bronze tees to put on
the Civic and then I said while I was polishing the Civic I got motivated and
I promised I was gonna order a bunch of stuff but I realized I drove the car
down to the gym the other day and it's terrible it's so bad. So I needed to get
seats and I'm like well if I get the seats I might as well get the steering
wheel and I'm gonna get the pedals and then and I'm like well you know this
thing is up on stilts I really need a suspension it'd be a lot more fun if I
had an intake and at least a basic exhaust and so I basically ordered
everything for it and so everything's starting to show up my spoon header
arrives today I got the radiator what I'm gonna do at least I keep saying this
and I almost bought a B18 the other day I'm gonna just sort of bolt on all the
stuff of the B16 and you know rock it around for a little while I get my Type
R back soon by the time I'm done with the Civic then the Type R will be back put
the interior in that and I'm gonna start on the 1M here shortly and hopefully
I've got a sort of mandate to myself that I'm gonna start driving the cars
rather than just the the appliances the Teslas and that'll give me a more
opportunity to wash some different cars and all that so the Broncos getting sent
back to to APG to get I tried getting the springs and boots and and new
axles put on here locally but it's kind of jank so I'm gonna send it out to them
and we're gonna do some upgrades while it's out there so the Bronco will leave
for a while I'll keep two cars at my house at least for the next several
months until Ryan gets his car and and my goal is to start you know early late
like later or later evenings and then earlier mornings for a while where
there's less traffic and just you know man up and go you know just white
knuckle it through through some drives to and from and and just kind of
desensitize myself to that because you know I want to go to drive my Porsches
around that's the ultimate goal so it's like it's almost like I've got a you know
a cherry on top I've got a progression of how I'm gonna be able to drive it's
drive the Teslas then the Hondas then the BMWs then the Porsches and then
whatever I want and then the question will be when I get back to Porsches will
I bag all of my Hondas and BMWs and sell all those and just get a bunch of
Porsches that could happen yeah I don't know we'll see so I'll get your
question your questions here Brian says I see you got your OG soap bottle what's
the drop date for inside the hex I think I think we're doing inside the hex
next week waiting on the labels so it might be not next week it'll be the

looking at the OG vacuum curious if you see any suction loss over a 50 foot run
with hi-to hose also any problems with attic heat no I no attic heat issues I
didn't notice any and when I had it in the Darlington attic and nope you get
probably more suction with that with the 50 foot run I feel like it I
got more suction with that with the hi-to hose than I did from the from from
the hose reel which both will you know don't rip the carpet out of the car let's
see what are the best e46 pedals I like the dyne in pedals I mean I doubt they're
the best performing but I think they're the best looking so I always do dyne in

on my windshield no no don't use it on your windshield definitely don't use it
on the windshield maybe do armor wheel coating like your door jams or
something but that's about it it's too high solids your wiper blades are gonna

Bosch 3 inch polisher compared to the Mirka on sound and vibration I like the
speed range and trigger lock of the Bosch the speed calibration and ability
to adjust the Mirka is far superior you only have what five or is it five
settings or six settings on the on the Bosch so you don't have as much
adjustability on the Bosch the Bosch has the mechanical trigger lock it where
the Mirka doesn't the Bosch does have variable trigger I feel like the Mirka
is a little bit more accurate the trigger is a little more accurate and the
vibration is not even close I mean the Bosch is right on the edge of being
acceptable still has too much vibration I think for like you know optimum the
Mirka is the best in the world so you know that there's a pretty substantial
difference in that my money is still on the Mirka but you know the Bosch is a
nice happy medium tool and I went to bat for us because the Bosch was originally
much much more they wanted a lot more money let's see and I said look we can't
it's not as good as the Mirka people just I'll just sell the Mirka I wouldn't
buy it I needed to be sort of slotted in and so the Bosch kit is let's see the
12 volt yeah is 640 bucks the Mirka is
what the Mirka was more than that five amp power 781 we must have dropped the

loving how I just having to figure out the right process so I started I did 50
to one I was videoing it and then I freaking didn't turn the microphone on
so I'm going to redo it let me know just I'll just voice over it I did 50 to
one as a pretreat like they could suggest in the in the PDF document but
the 50 to one made it real streaky so it's too concentrated and so I nixed
that and so I'm doing 250 to one and then I tried not pre-treating and
pre-spraying the in the car didn't get wet enough and I did a you know decent
size section and then it dried and then I had to rewet it so I think the
combination is to do a 2250 to one pre-treat at that sorry why am I
yawning 250 to one pretreat and then a 250 to one you know bucket
rinseless wash I haven't done any of the dry on version yet but it certainly is
cleaning better than pretty much anything I've ever used so I'll have a video up
next week on it what happened to Rusty I know you guys wound down obsessed on
theater but does he still help with OG no he still lives here he's been just
focused on family you know they had a traumatic move you know and he when we
when we decided to you know to shut down obsessed on theater he's just said
like I'm gonna take some time off and so he's hopefully out enjoying life just
you know live living it up here but he's he's I think he's been traveling
vacation and hanging out lava orange thank you that's the color salmon does
anyone else think the volume is too low I have my volume maxed out I think
something wrong with what you guys are doing if I increase the volume then it

I haven't seen it let's look at it new Audi RS5 you know I want to like
Audi's but you just don't want to drive one you know it's they look so good
Audi doesn't want you modifying or messing with them yeah I mean it looks
good but they're big they're heavy and they aren't fun to drive at all but you
know if I was up north I would probably be inclined to get one of them you know
and put some put some blizzaks on it and roll through all the snow and stuff
what else did I buy here oh yeah that thing yeah so it looks good okay let's see
John says I recently coated my wheels with armor wheel coating easy to clean
so seems like a great coating but now the brake dust sticks to them like crazy
any thoughts what to use when I wash them to help I mean I wouldn't think your
brake dust would stick to a coating any differently than it sticks to your bare
wheels maybe I'm wrong and I haven't noticed that I mean the beauty is that
your brake dust then just washes off I mean are you having problems with with
the with the getting the brake dust off I mean almost all of my brake dust just
washes off with the pressure washer so it shouldn't be holding on to brake dust
anymore than it did before any issues washing in a garage without a drain I
have epoxy that ended up installing swish tracks over it I'm concerned about
standing water as the epoxy doesn't absorb like concrete yeah I mean what's
the standing water gonna do you know it's gonna evaporate up through the tiles
first of all your garage should be sloped outward so the water is gonna run
out the bulk the heavy bit of water to your swish tracks as little channel so
water can run under it and then you know in the summertime you know the water
it's hotter so the water should just evaporate in the wintertime it's drier so
water certainly will evaporate or freeze I guess if it's really cold out there so
yeah I don't worry about it at all and then the epoxy will help make sure that
you're you know you don't end up with stains and stuff on your on your concrete
so yeah it's not an issue you know if it was a wooden floor under there it
might it would certainly matter but the concrete just wash it and so I think
it's not like pulling up against your drywall on the sides you should be good
to go and you probably if there's drywall drywall wouldn't meet your
garage floor it would generally be a you know a baseboard of some sort and you
generally have some sort of stem wall so yeah you're good Larry Chen just started
a full restoration of his e46 at eag have you ever thought about doing
something like that with any of your cars yeah I mean I kind of already did
that with my e46 the first time we had ebb come up and do most of the restorative
work and then I had Jose paint it and it went down to get the interior done by
E3 customs and the stereo you know they did stereo down there as well so yeah I
think you know I've kind of done this you know with LHT and I've kind of done
this stuff a bunch of times but Drew and you know my buddies at the AG maybe
someday we'll do one together I like to do a hybrid because I like to do some
of stuff myself just for the fun of it let's see yeah you should buy some
Dynaudio speakers or something I don't know what's going on last name Kamur

with it for its durability but to hand but to the hand CSL XO feels nicer I
mean pretty much any coating it's gonna hold up so yeah I mean I just don't have
a need for a new coating the one thing I've run into with Fatnude is that you're
not using an additional drying and use you need a secondary towel once the
primary towel gets saturated otherwise you can leave residue yeah I noticed that
same thing is I did need a follow towel it doesn't flash some of it flashes but
like the wettest spots will flash and leave like a little streak so and it was
really bad when we did the yeah it was really bad when we when I did the 50 to
1 it's just too concentrated let's see can Bradley blend something similar to
Guards m39 yeah maybe I still have some bottles of it maybe we could reverse
engineer it somehow let's see Jeff W says I got the max loft are coming for my
hobby and it's changed my life bought from esoteric as I wasn't sure you were
gonna carry it I get everything else from OG yeah it's pretty sweet I mean a
little M pro we got the DDM out here I'm testing that out the DDM performance
incredible it sounds okay it's kind of a it's quieter but it has a higher pitch
sound which isn't as pleasant it again doesn't have a pressure switch it has
the sort of the ECU driven or electronically driven that's total
stop mechanism so what they did they did install the same software that I
requested where it turns off in like a second or two it's really small it's
like it's like I don't know 12 inches by 8 inches it doesn't look as good as I
wanted to look so yeah it I'm hoping we can do a little modification to it

cars that I either got away or I couldn't own you know throughout my you know my
car period which would have been say you know late night mid or mid to late 90s
and on let's see finally added a CR spotless to my AR630 setup I purchased
emoji does it matter if I use DI water when foaming the car other than going
through resin potentially quicker no I mean it doesn't hurt or help you other
than you know the soap will especially using pH neutral so the soap is going to
neutralize mineral content in the water so I wouldn't waste the the resin
let's see how does the power knob on the DDM effect output I presume it affects
both psi and flow but any insight into how much GPM can be dropped would be
great if it could turn down 2 and a half GPM for the CR yeah I don't know I
didn't get that into it the the products guys have dug in a little bit more than I
did I think the pressure is fixed and it adjusts the flow which I'm not sure how
it would do that we need to measure it and test it and see what the output
difference is so I'm not sure have you checked the timing belt on the SI no it
needs to be done so I need to do the timing belt I think I need to do a
steering rack it seems that the steering rack is leaking so I'll probably do a
new like I don't know if you can do like ITR or Civic Type R steering rack I I'm
probably gonna engine swap it so that's why I'm not in any dire rush you know if
that engine blows up no big deal it's like it didn't be dirt cheap to fix so I'm
not too concerned about it it's not blowing up I took it to VTech you know
it's one of these things where the guy that owned it was was an old older
person probably owned it from his late 60s on till is till his 80s and then sold
it and so I wonder if a car like that has it ever even been a red line so I took
it the red line the other day and it did you know it seems seems to be decent so
I got to go and beat on it a little bit once I get the exhaust and intake it'll
inspire me to beat on it I got to get the brakes so I just told John at LHT
ordered me some some DBA rotors and hawk pads I got a fine a set of spoon
calipers so my my you know all the parts are gonna start rolling in here but yeah
I do need to do timing belt the oil change manual transmission change you know
just do all the coolant flush all that kind of stuff but I got a Courad
radiator so I'll swap that fluid in or the coolant anyway let's see how do you
handle bugs getting in your garage with lights on and working in the evenings
after dark are they LEDs I don't think bugs are attracted LEDs yeah I mean in
my place it's a bug bonanza and certain bugs just flood it and then they all die
on the countertop by the next morning and I got to dust them up it's kind of
the disadvantage out here at HQ I'm gonna put screens around new motorized
screens around my out in around the wash bay area to keep the bugs out it's

and do that or you know what I rather do a GTS looking to buy the leader max
steering wheel repair kit but I haven't found any tutorials on it any plans to
change that yeah well we'll have a tutorial at some point that you know
they plan to come to the US at some point here and that's one of the videos
we need to make you know some some content on let's see I like hearing your
feedback about certain cars what do you think about the FL5 type R yeah I was
almost bought one last week one showed up at the at the dealership and I really
want Ryan to have that the type R and I think it'd be really cool but he's not
having it doesn't want to do the manual thing so I'm not sure what I'm gonna do
I don't know if I would buy one for me I kind of like this idea of having these
like complete sets of cars of the best versions of cars are ones that I like
having like you know just the the fun of having like the hunt I've got the
having the four Hondas Civic type R, EM1SI, Integra type R, USDM type R, JDM type R and
then the Integra type Rs and then S2000 I mean maybe that would then if I get
bored and run out of cars to buy then I would go down the NSX route but you know
the NSX people always asking about that and I just I just didn't have any
practical desire for that car when I was younger it just didn't really occur to
me it was so far out of balance and so expensive and so far out of reach that I
never even really considered it so it's like not a car that really appeals to me
all that much and now you know it's gonna cost 250 grand or so to build one
and make it nice so I don't know any OG car shows in the works any plant any any
shows you plan on attending on the horizon no I don't have anything planned
maybe if I get you know to the point where I can drive to one without driving
a Tesla to it then maybe I'd go but yeah I don't know not really interested and we
don't have anything set up for OG for a little while we're gonna take a little
time off it kind of petered out a little bit when you expect OG soap to be live
inside the hex again I think it's next week or the following it just depends
on the labels arrive what's something you wish you had known before setting off
to build your first bike I wish I knew more about hub spacing you know I wish
I had to learn in the hard way I still have my bike I still haven't ridden it my
hardtail I have to I think that we have we think we have a defective derailer so
I got to take it to a bike shop and see if they can figure it out because it
doesn't shift in like two of the gears it's kind of funky but it was all on the
hub spacing and having spacers and all that stuff I don't know what the heck I
was doing ordered the custom air hose like last week look what we're using it
nice looks like we got that done let's see how much do you think OG engagement
has evolved I'm aware of your channel but current stuff doesn't seem to appeal
to the original OG folks what do you mean it's the same stuff I've been doing the
same thing for the last decade the only difference is in the last six years or
so you know when the Wabus came you know we started doing the garage series stuff
and then but we're you know and we we've done a bit more of the you know try to
edit down some videos and then I've separated out the channels because but
but if you take the summation of the channels you end up with the same thing
you have to remember the vast majority of the videos in the beginning were
finding products you know building the store building the products in the store
and so you were bombarded which nobody watched there are very few people
watching the videos but like when I was building the car washing package I made
an Adam soap video and then I made a credit pad video and then I'm you know
made a video on each individual product and every time I did that it would nuke
engagement no one would watch it but I needed to do it because it needed to be
you know for the for the channel so let's say for example when we you know we
have the DDM and we need to decide like to answer that question of what happens
when you turn the knob you know to the current draw and what happens to pressure
and flow that's a logical questions question I would have so you would you
know we would make a video on that if we put it on the OG channel then it would
destroy the channel you know no one watches it the people that need it would
watch it but we have 700,000 subscribers and like 2800 people would watch that
video and then it would make the next garage video would make instead of 50,000
people watching it 10,000 people would watch the next garage video because they
wouldn't get the video so you see the conundrum here plus I'm not the same dude
you know so it's going to evolve and and you know what I'm doing in the on my on
this channel doing the podcast here I'm doing the so the podcast has changed I
didn't do it solo I did it with a host but so I've transitioned doing it solo
and then but I'm still you know set up do wash and talk you know set up the camera
on the tripod in the garage I would like to edit those better so we we get some
like close-ups some b-roll have a better sort of intro outro on those instead of
me just standing at the countertop but I'd like to make it make it better and
you know nobody likes change very few people like change and so you know it
takes a little time for me to bring people in the fold but I only make
stuff that I want to watch and that's been the you know thesis from the
beginning let's see are the motorized screens as wide as a standard two car
garage the screens that I'm gonna do let's see yeah I think it'll be 24 feet

very expensive many says the DDM 15 amp is doing 980 psi at 3 GPM and then at
20 amps it's doing 1200 psi at 3.3 ish we're still playing around with
different nozzles the knob does both psi and GSM by 100 psi and 0.4 is gpm for
each step so and you step down to 15 amps you lose about 0.3 0.4 GPM and
you lose about you know 200 psi is there an update on the evo nope the evo is on
the triple stacker at the very top at ultimate auto getting stored there until
they can get to it so hopefully at some point I'll get it done we already talked
about the og lighting solution Lewis says you can only own one car what car
would that be and why well right now if I only own one car would be the Tesla
Model S because it can get me everywhere it looks really cool as you know
basically the amount of storage of a pickup truck and it's and it's a do
everything car if it wasn't the Tesla I would have a 9-11 just one car I'd have
a you know I'd probably have a if I had to do a lot of mileage I don't know that
I'd want a GT3 I would have a 2016 GTS if it was a new car I would have a you
GTS it managed to the new cars are a little bit bigger but I would have a 9-11

thought about moving somewhere else either within the state or out of state I
love Florida I've never once in one for one millisecond thought I wouldn't live
in Florida I have thought I would have other places I moved up to Lady Lake in
2010 I've wanted to move out of here ever since and move back down to Orlando but
now I'm here this is where we live this is what you know I've kind of set up shop
now when I go to Orlando it's annoying because there's it's a lot denser a lot
more traffic yeah I and I really like it here so the only I don't like here is
just not really a I wish it was just like a nice nice communities we can buy
like a couple million dollar house but doesn't exist so what I want to do I
think as I get into my 50s and if we execute on the plan as planned and if
OG does as well as I think it's gonna do part of the this Matt Mormon channel is
I would like to again share the the cars and share the the the all the discovery
process of how I take care of the tools I use how I store them and so again the
Matt Mormon channel is the the discovery or the curious channel the
curiosity channel and then the minutia detail the product specific stuff like
we just talked about on the DDM would be done on the OG micro channel I don't
just stuff I've done it for many years now for you and so what we're gonna do
is have my products team that really enjoys that share that with you so I'll
open and close the video I'll make the case I'll sell you the product tell you
why I like it and then they'll get into all answering all the possible
questions in the minutia of the OG micro channel or the micro detail of every
detailing product every tool every lift every piece of you know cabinets and
lighting and control and all the stuff that we develop all the products that we
do wash station pressure washers fittings guns wands foam cannons all that
stuff and what I haven't done a good job is they like you know there's some
products I haven't talked about in years now you see me using them but I don't
get into the detail of it and so I want to have a schedule and a structure where
our team just refreshes that over and again so but I think that
I want you know as I build the house I'm gonna have all kinds of discoveries
which I think will be a value and so I want to share that when and so I want
to build I want to have a reason to build the house I want to build a house in
Florida first then I want to build a house in the mountains which you saw I

in some cool city somewhere else maybe it's Austin maybe it's Columbus I don't
know somewhere that I would want to build another place and it would make sense to

hundreds of people coming and so maybe we do that quarterly and we promote it
better we'd kind of got lazy in our promotion I got lazy in my promotion and
so we'd have you know maybe a hundred people show up and it looks kind of
empty because we could fit for 500 here so I think that the you know future
events we're going to do more of a themed bigger bigger idea or bigger event
and maybe bring some you know bring some of the vendors and stuff like that and
try to make it more more of a thing and now that HQ is starting to get put
together we have you know something to show but all of our events have been a
lot of fun but it's a lot of work for our team and I think I want to narrow it
down do a little bit do less events but bigger kind of like the
OG channel less videos but better done I mean you guys have to go watch the darn
Ernie's garage I mean it's awesome it's the videos are great so and then come

going to take some time to work but the plan for the channels and how we're

radar what is the radar detector to buy I'd follow vortex radar vortex radar

it's it's kind of jank so I'm not looking for horsepower I'm looking for
function and and there's a lot of idiosyncrasies to a case series and
talk to John and LHT I talked to some other Honda buddies the problem with a
case swap is it's kind of jank no matter how well you do it do you think OG will
offer discounts on gift cards ever again which I'd stocked up on more could be
another way to fund the new roof faster yeah I mean I'm sure we'll do something
some sort of promotion and we usually do that in December you know after Black
Friday to try to drum up some interest you know you could just you know be a
member and probably get the same 10% and any free shipping on that but yeah I
don't I I'm sure we'll have something coming up at some point our gift cards
look really cool especially the physical ones yeah so working on the Civic
working on the E46 I've got to wash every single car I want to get every car
clean and washed I'll be working on the S2000 you know it's coming up as well so
I want to have Type R S2000 Civic functioning rolling doing well
E46 E92 and 1M will be the sort of the next the E92 just needs washed but the
E46 needs needs to get done so I'm working on that now I'm waiting on the
Civic parts and I want to drive the E46 and the Civic bunch and then I want to
drive the S2000 the Type R a bunch and I want to start once I break the the seal
of being able to drive to and from I want to drive my Porsches that's what I
