The GT2 RS is a super serious Porsche 911 made for fast driving and track use. It’s one of the most extreme versions, with big power and lots of performance-focused design.
Brand
Uvalvos
“Uvalvos” sounds like it means Volvo, a Swedish car brand. The host is joking about Volvo fans or owners.
“Big wheels” means the rims are larger. They can make the car feel a bit more responsive, but they often ride rougher because the tires have less rubber sidewall to absorb bumps.
An RS4 is a performance Audi—think of it as the “sporty” version of the regular A4. Here, the host is talking about someone driving an RS4 around and then having it break down.
The Maserati Ghibli is a luxury sedan, meaning it’s meant to feel more upscale than a basic car. It’s also built to be fun to drive, not just comfortable. The podcast is praising it as a really cool car.
Surron makes electric dirt-bike-style bikes. People like them because they’re light and accelerate quickly, so they feel fun even for short trips.
Term
electric off-road
“Electric off-road” means a bike or vehicle meant for dirt or trail riding, and it runs on electricity. Instead of a gas engine, it uses an electric motor.
An electric vehicle is a car that runs on electricity stored in a battery. They’re saying they planned to use that EV for commuting instead of their older car.
Seat belts are what keep you from flying forward in a crash or hard stop. They’re talking about getting their seat belts reinstalled correctly, including small spacer pieces that change how the parts fit together.
Spacer shims are small thin parts used to make sure components sit at the right distance and line up correctly. They’re saying their seat belt parts came with different thickness shims, so the reassembly is like matching the right pieces.
Place
Honda tech
“Honda tech” means Honda-specific car help resources where enthusiasts and mechanics share how-to advice. They’re trying to find someone who’s done the seat-belt removal/reinstall job.
The Pajero is a Mitsubishi SUV. The host is saying it’s an easy, comfortable daily driver because it has air conditioning and an automatic gearbox, plus some audio setup.
Right-hand drive means the steering wheel is on the right side of the car. It’s common in some countries, and it can feel different if you’re used to left-hand drive.
The Alfa Romeo GTV 2000 is an older Italian sports coupe that car fans love. The host is saying they’re interested in it as a fun project car—even if it means more tinkering.
“Wedgie” is a slang description for a wedge-shaped car body—low, sharp, and aerodynamic-looking. In this context, the host is using it to describe the styling of the 1980s-era GTVs.
The Alfa Romeo GTV is a sporty two-door car. It’s built to feel fun to drive and look distinctive. In the podcast, it’s mentioned as a car that can be very expensive and special.
A “side draft” setup usually means the carburetor/throttle is mounted on the side. People like it because it can sound great and looks very old-school.
The Renault Modus is a small car designed for everyday driving, especially in tighter spaces. It’s a compact hatchback-type vehicle, and the podcast is talking about its engine power. They also mention it feels heavy, which can affect how it drives.
The MGB GT is a classic British sports coupe related to the MGB. It’s a popular old-car choice, and the host is saying that kind of 1970s-era character really sticks with them.
“Evo five” is a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution from the “V” generation. It’s a turbocharged, rally-style car that’s famous for being quick and grippy thanks to all-wheel drive.
A “fuel injection conversion” means changing the way the engine gets fuel—switching to modern fuel injectors. It can make the car run smoother and be easier to tune for more power.
“Fogs” means fog lights—extra lights meant to help you see better in nasty weather. People sometimes add them if their car didn’t have them originally.
“Wheel horsepower” is how much power the car makes at the wheels, measured on a dyno. Because some power is lost inside the drivetrain, wheel horsepower is usually less than the advertised engine horsepower.
“Torque” is the engine’s twisting force. More torque usually means the car feels stronger and accelerates harder, especially when you’re not at the very top of the rev range.
The Nissan Sentra is a regular, everyday car in the compact sedan category. It’s designed to be affordable and easy to live with. The podcast mentions it as an example of a common type of car.
“4G63” is the name of a specific engine used in some Mitsubishi turbo cars. People like it because it’s popular for upgrades and tuning. Here, they’re using it to talk about which “generation”/car version feels better.
“Volkswagen Audi vehicle” is a shorthand for cars from the Volkswagen Group brands, specifically Volkswagen and Audi. They’re encouraging people to register for an event if they have one of those brand cars. It’s not a single model—more like a brand eligibility filter for the meetup.
“PVD Fest” is a car-related event they’re talking about. They’re mainly discussing when it happens and how long it runs. It’s useful context for listeners who might attend.
It’s a car show where the featured cars are air-cooled, meaning they don’t use liquid coolant like most modern cars. Instead, airflow helps keep the engine from overheating.
Place
Tiberton, Rhode Island
Tiberton in Rhode Island is where the next car show is happening. It’s the kind of detail you’d need if you’re thinking about going.
O'Reilly Auto Parts is a big store where you can buy car parts in the U.S. The hosts are talking about O'Reilly growing by purchasing other local parts stores, which could mean more locations and better parts availability.
NAPA is a big name in car parts. The hosts say NAPA is strong on having parts available, but they think the in-store shopping experience hasn’t been as good as it could be.
The BMW X5 is a larger family SUV made by BMW. People talk about it because it’s meant to be comfortable for daily driving and can also feel sporty. It’s the kind of car that gets a lot of attention when new versions come out.
A “parts counter” is the desk you go to in an auto-parts store to ask for the part you need. The hosts are saying NAPA stores often feel like you go in, ask, and get the part—rather than browsing around.
“Retail presence” just means how much a brand shows up in real stores—like whether there are locations nearby and what shopping there is like. The hosts are saying NAPA has parts, but the in-store experience hasn’t always been great.
“Inventory” means the parts they have available to sell. The hosts are saying if O'Reilly combines its stores with NAPA’s stock, customers could have a better experience and easier access to parts.
Cylinder heads are major engine parts that sit on top of the cylinders and help control airflow and combustion. “Resurfacing” means machining the surface back flat so the engine can seal properly again.
Auto Zone is a store where you buy car parts and supplies. The hosts are talking about a specific building that used to be another store and is now an Auto Zone.
Pep Boys is another car-parts store. They’re explaining that the old Pep Boys space got turned into an Auto Zone, and the building is basically being “reused” over time.
An AI system is computer software that tries to recognize things automatically, like reading a license plate from a camera image. In this story, it made a wrong call and flagged the plate as matching a stolen one.
A stolen license plate is a plate that was taken from another vehicle and is being used to disguise a different car. The segment highlights how automated plate-matching systems can mistakenly treat a normal plate as if it were that stolen plate.
Car
Fiat Topolino
The Fiat Topolino is a very small electric car made by Fiat. They’re talking about how far it can go on a charge and how powerful the electric motor is—basically whether it’s good for everyday short driving.
This is how strong the electric motor is, usually described in horsepower. More horsepower generally means quicker acceleration and better ability to keep moving at speed.
LSV means “low-speed vehicle.” It’s a type of small electric vehicle that’s limited to slower speeds, so it can be allowed on some roads where a normal car might not be.
“Runabout” is a car category term meaning a small, practical vehicle meant for short, everyday trips rather than long-distance touring or high-performance driving. It fits the microcar/EV use case they’re discussing.
Term
square bar
They’re talking about a strong metal piece inside the car that helps hold the body together. In an accident, that kind of rigid part can affect how the car protects (or injures) people.
A low speed vehicle is a legally defined category of small, limited-speed vehicles that are allowed to operate on certain roads where full-speed cars aren’t required. The host mentions Rhode Island rules that require these vehicles to be electric.
EV means electric vehicle—powered by electricity from a battery. The host is talking about rules that can require certain small vehicles to be electric.
A twist throttle is like the accelerator on a motorcycle—your hand twists to tell the vehicle to speed up. The host is pointing out the car feels more like a scooter/moped than a normal car.
A purchase incentive is money offered to reduce the effective price of buying a vehicle, often funded by the manufacturer or brand. In this segment, the host cites an “18,000 purchase incentive” as part of why Polestars are being heavily discounted.
APR is basically the interest rate on a car loan. “0% APR” means you’re not paying interest, so financing can be a lot cheaper than usual—assuming the deal terms don’t hide extra costs elsewhere.
A cash purchase rebate is a discount you get back when you buy the car under the rebate rules. It can lower what you actually pay, and sometimes it can be combined with other incentives.
The “4” mentioned here is likely the Polestar 4, which is an electric car. The podcast is talking about a deal or incentive that could lower the price if you buy with cash or use certain financing terms. It’s mainly about the buying cost.
APR is the interest rate on a car loan. “Zero percent APR” means you don’t pay interest, so the financing cost can drop a lot—depending on the loan length and any other conditions.
A clean vehicle lease incentive is money off (or a credit) that you get when you lease an eligible electric car. The hosts are saying it could be big enough to make the lease cost much less than you’d expect.
The Tesla Model 3 is an electric car. Here they’re talking about how leasing it—plus incentives—can make it seem like a bargain for the length of the lease.
“Lease math” is the way a lease payment is figured out. It depends a lot on what the car is expected to be worth when you return it at the end of the lease.
Residual value is what the leasing company expects the car will be worth when you turn it back in. If they expect it to be worth more, your monthly lease cost can drop.
A lease calculator is a website/tool that estimates what a lease payment should be. You plug in the deal details and it helps you see if the numbers make sense.
Term
two chargers
They’re talking about whether the EV has two charging options/ports. That can affect how convenient it is to charge depending on where you plug in.
They’re saying these cars are getting restricted by rules. When that happens, dealers often cut prices to get rid of the cars before the rules make them harder to sell.
BYD is a big Chinese company that makes electric cars. The hosts are saying they were surprised to see one in real life and are talking about how legit it seems.
Electric cars run on electricity from a battery instead of gasoline. The hosts are discussing trying them out and seeing what brands are like in person.
MG is a car brand with British roots. The host is basically saying they don’t want to drive an MG if it’s owned or built by Chinese companies now.
Concept
service network support
Service network support is basically whether there are enough places to fix and service the car. The host is wondering if Polestar cars can be serviced at Volvo dealerships or if you’re on your own.
A “seven year loan” means you’re paying for the car over about seven years. It can make the monthly payment smaller, but you usually pay more overall because of interest.
A down payment is the money you pay upfront when you buy the car. If you put less down, you usually have to borrow more, which can make the loan costlier.
“73 months” is about six years of payments. Longer terms can lower the payment each month, but they can cost more in the long run.
Term
deferred payment
A deferred payment means you don’t start paying (or you pay less) right away. It can help short-term, but it may make the loan last longer or cost more.
A lease is like renting a car for a fixed time. When the lease is “up,” it means the rental period ends, and you have to decide what to do next—get a new lease, buy the car, or switch vehicles.
An early turn-in means you give the leased car back before the lease is finished. You might be allowed to do it, but there can be extra costs depending on the lease terms.
The Tesla Model Y is an electric SUV, meaning it runs on electricity instead of gasoline. It’s designed to be a practical size for commuting and family use. The podcast mentions it as something someone might consider buying.
The Cadillac Escalade is a big luxury SUV. The host is talking about wanting an older one—specifically a 2005—because they’re into early-2000s cars right now.
The Lexus LS is a top-of-the-line luxury Lexus sedan. The “long boy” idea here means a longer version that usually gives more rear-seat space for passengers.
The Porsche Taycan is Porsche’s electric car. The point here is that used or discounted Taycans can become much cheaper than you’d expect, even though they’re still expensive cars.
Term
EV stuff
They mean the work and spending involved in making electric cars. The host is saying Porsche spent a lot of money on EVs and didn’t make it back quickly.
The Dodge Ram is a large pickup truck. It’s made for carrying things and towing, like for work or hauling gear. The podcast is mentioning it as a type of truck someone might be considering.
A “V8 option” means the car can be bought with an engine that has eight cylinders. The host is basically asking if there’s a bigger-engine version available.
LIVE
Boom.
Hello and welcome to the Revive Motor and Podcast. I'm Chuck Who, surrounded by the one and only
Corey SI. That's me. I am him. And we're here today to get this podcast to rolling. I guess
what Josh says at this point is we're going to talk about some news, some callbacks. If
you want support, go to revivemotor.com. That's the Bucs for the Boy system. You can choose
any amount at any time to hook our boys up as we don't go behind paywalls. We don't have
premium content. Should this content certainly isn't premium, but it feels like it's worth
anything to hop on there, help your boys out or just go and paypal in for revivemotor.com.
I'm doing this now, so I don't have to do it later. Yeah. So that's us. So welcome in.
It's been a little while for me. So let me... We're like a solid 87 at the pub. We're basically
the revival motor in quarterly. Yeah. I mean, I think quarterly of getting us all in the
same room at the same time. Our release schedule is fucking out of control right now. And I
apologize in advance for the insanity. We're just trying different dates. You know what
I mean? We record two in a row, release them like three and a half weeks apart. We're going
to see how the 15th works for this one. I think I was going for like almost four weeks.
I only missed one episode. It's the best. I did miss Scott and Rick and Nick. I just
saw Rick in chat. I did miss Scott and Nick. I love both of them. I wish I was here and
someday we'll podcast together. You know what I will say is recording two in one night,
they'll just... I walk out that door and I'm like, I've gone above and beyond. I'm not
going to lie and pretend I actually listened to those. That's all right. But it was two
with those guys. Yeah. Oh, that sounds like heaven to me. It was two with them. One's maybe
two hours, one's like an hour and change. Yeah, that's perfect. It was the best.
God, did you like end it and start it? Yeah. So we did full like this, live stream.
You live it, live chat. And you broke her up. The whole thing, ended the show and then just
hit restart and just did a whole one, but that one wasn't live.
What an absolute gift. Oh, I was going to say a gift for a live viewer.
What a gift for the one man that would have stuck in through that whole thing.
We could have. I mean, I guess you could have just gone live. What does that matter? You could
have just gone live again, but no, we just pulled the audio file for that one, but it was great.
And we are slow, slowly approaching episode 400 where we all throw in the towel. So...
But it should be next week. It should be next week. We should... Are we going to have a special
guest for that? No, Josh is back. I think the special guest is will all be here.
Is Josh. Josh will be the special guest.
Can't talk. I've been going for quite some time. Wow. We're not going to have a guest. I
have some 400 usually. It's just the crew. He's there right there. That's true. Dreamy.
All right. Well, let me hit the button here. Oh boy. If you'd like to leave a call back number,
press two. Callbacks. Here we are. I guess right off the jump, I just want to address
the allegations in the room, the elephant in the field here. We do have a Donut Meet this Sunday.
We do. Donut Meet this Sunday. Nine to 11. Never forget.
Always remember. We're going to be here.
Big things happen to the Donut Meet. I really get particularly into it,
but it's going to be a big night. By the night of mean day. Big morning.
It could be a big night for you. Nine to 11. Yeah. It's going to suck.
It's going to suck for me, if I'm honest. But I think I'm going to do a little Donut Meet.
And my plan is to go down to Jake's new restaurant,
Snack Bar Royale in Jamestown. So if you are coming up for the Donut Meet
and want to do a cool little cruise down to a really cool new restaurant,
I want a beautiful area. That's what I'm going to do. do it either way.
But if you want to come with, it should be cool. I mean, I know there's a
two or three of you guys that, you know, we've had the pleasure going on to lunch after this.
This is going to be a kind of a cruise and a lunch. It will go check out Snack Bar Royale.
I mean, it's by one of the best and a beautiful, actually, I'd argue the most beautiful part of
our state. It definitely is Jamestown right on the pier. They got ice cream. Do we know if
they're open at that time? I think they're open all day on Sunday. If it's not, we're going to have
a beautiful ride down to Jamestown Wednesday to Sunday, four to 10. Nice. They are ice cream though.
Ice cream and coffee, 10 to 9 30 daily. All right. Perfect. So you had no idea for some ice cream.
Ice cream. I might text your boy and be like, listen, I'm bringing a whole crew. Then it's
definitely just going to be me. You're going to have to. That seems to be my plan right now. So
let's put that together. World Cup watch party. Yeah, man, they got a bunch of stuff going on.
You see, but no, this is Sunday, 621 from 12 to 3. So I mean, I think World Cup has happened in
the Sunday. I think World Cup just happened indefinitely from here on out. Yeah, we're just
going to say it's going to be live. All right. So we're going to that. Cory's not. I am. I got a
5665 year old birthday party. It's pouring stuff, especially the early ones.
But it was here. That's going on also this weekend. It is 7-Eleven on Saturday.
We were going to do a 7-Eleven thing. I mean, obviously I'm a fucking degenerate. I can be
convinced if anybody wants to go 7-Eleven meet up here, then go to our local 7-Eleven. It usually
is the craziest one possibly in the country. Yeah. It is pretty wild. My Tiff is that
big UFC, the Mac is back, maybe. Yeah. But what times do you see nine?
Yeah, we go like seven.
Just prelims. What do you mean? The prelims. The prelims always stink. No, no, no, no.
Robert Whitaker is on the prelims. Is Robert Whitaker on the prelims? Absolutely. Gotta see that.
So we're definitely not doing that on the prelims. I still could be convinced. I don't care so much
about the prelims, but if no one comes, it's even better because I don't like being able to watch a
little UFC before I ruin it that night when I get home from DJ at four o'clock in the morning.
Yeah. But yeah, 7-Eleven this Saturday. We did have a, if you do want to do a big plan,
I am DJing Saturday. The initial plan was to do a 7-Eleven, a pizza meet, 7-Eleven drive,
DJ event, and Sunday morning, you know, whole revival weekend. And you can still do that. It's
just, you know, not going to include us that much. But you're welcome to do whatever you like.
It could. The parking lot's here.
Buddy, I mean, listen, if people want to do that, I'm around. Yeah. So I'm saying.
Uh, so yeah, that's what's going on. Please come through the donut meat though. It's going to be
a blast. Uh, it looks like the weather is going to be unbelievable. We're going to have a great
turnout. It's supposed to be beautiful week. I don't know if we're going to have coffee
roses around. I don't know from here on out. It's supposed to be nice. Did that dry up our
coffee rose connection? I love homie. Homie. I think he's just a very busy man. He seems to be a
busy man. I think he's a super busy man, which I mean, I love that for him. I love busy guys.
Yeah. But that seems to kind of be the move right now for us. Yeah.
Solid weekend though. Solid weekend coming up. Uh, I don't know what happened in the last three
weeks, but it seems fine. Uh, just came back. I was away. Where were you? I was in Poland,
which was great, great place. I did. I saw our old trace from the airplane on the way back from
Sweden. Yeah. Literally I sent Katie a picture. I have a picture of the stadium from above
the day it opened. Uh, you can see the event going for it's like a Friday to Sunday.
That looked cool as hell. Get off what I was doing. Uh, Ludwig put out a great video of it.
Did it really? Yeah. You know what, John? I mean, I'm not a big vlog guy, but he does a good job,
man. He has, he walks around sees a bunch of cool stuff. Uh, and he doesn't slam a bunch of
bullshit music over it. And it's like John just literally being like psych to see cars. He's
thought about since he was a kid, you know, and always dreamed about and, uh, he checks out
tons of cool stuff. And he is as much as I hate vlogging, John does a killer job on like
the limited amount of vlog content he does. Like, there's a really funny, funny
scene. He basically, Gdansk famously has a river running through it. I guess the second most famous
thing about it. And you can rent little houses boats on the river. And he's basically sitting on
the porch of the houseboat and drops his phone in the river. And it's the story after that gets
incredible. It's worth seeing. Uh, and then John just does such a good job and there's so many cool
cars and he's so passionate about that stuff. And then Mikey Stans works as there, Mike Barrow
is there and they're just, I don't know. I liked it. And it was, uh, it's pretty zenny. It's not a
ton of like talk over. Uh, and it's, you know, it's crazy. I bought, I told you guys, I, I,
last time I was on the podcast, like, I think I bought tickets to that. I bought tickets for it in
like December. Yeah. And the plan was to go there and go up to Sweden. And then it, uh, it just didn't
happen. Uh, not for any particular reason, but there was, you know, my mother-in-law was having
a party that weekend. I just couldn't go. It was just like, I'm already, I would have gotten
like, I could have gone, but I would have gotten sacrificed. You know what I mean? And like,
I like cars, but I don't like cars enough to get the, uh, Polish in-laws. I'm staying with mad at
me. You know what I mean? I don't think anyone like cars. I don't know if you know Eastern European
women, bad move. So yeah, the house is gated. So I would have been outside. So I, uh, I had, I,
I flew to Sweden and I flew to Stockholm like three or four days before and on my way back,
I saw our good dynastic from the sky, uh, Sweden rocks. I don't know how many of you have been
there. I don't, I'd never really even thought about going. I, I know Scandinavia is cool,
but man, Stockholm is cool as hell. It's, there's, I can't really give you any car. I saw a GT2 RS,
which was sick, but the city is so laid back, so like, it's very, not a good car city. It's a great
bicycle city, uh, super cool. The people are all laid back and there's 20 hours of sunlight.
We get where we are in beautiful Rhode Island. We get basically nine and a half on our longest
day. These guys are twice, it was four AM to 11 ish. It was like almost daylight. Yeah. Totally
crazy. I guess it got, you know what? Like an 11, it looked kind of dusky, bigger than I thought.
Never heard of that before, but I guess once you get up over halfway, it just doesn't get dark
this time of year. Wow. And Stockholm is a city of a million people, which is not giant. No,
capital city in the country's got 10 million people. It was that big. So the top, the rest of Sweden is
very lightly popular, very sparsely popular that it's supposed to be absolutely beautiful. Next
time I go, yeah. And in Stockholm is a bunch of islands, which I did not know until my sister told
me it's like archipelago. I believe it's called the islands and you fly over that. It looks so cool.
And then like the cities, if you go towards Stockholm itself, every island has a different name.
Hoonie, Hawaii. Yeah, exactly. It's like beautiful Hawaii. Yeah. So there you go. And then there's
Oh, what's the name of the phonem- Glamestan. Glamestan. That's the center. It looks like the
old stuff. Oh, that's cool. You basically just stay on those like center islands. I mean, you can
go wherever you want. They have like great boat tours out to the, all the little islands, but I
Wow. Yeah. Next time I go, I'm definitely going to Stockholm for a co, I'm going to spend a week
there. I'll spend Stockholm a couple of days and then go up and see all the cool stuff. Yeah.
But yeah, really, really cool, really cool people. They kept on apologizing for being cold, but
like cold and attitude. As you come to New England. But none of those people have ever been to Poland
if they think that. I mean, I get people at 7-Eleven talking to me about my hotel breakfast and what
America's like. And I'm like, if you've ever been to Poland to a Jopka, that lady's going to ask you
if you have change in Polish only, say nothing else to you. So you're going to hear
Maastrobne and you're going to be like, I don't know. Yeah. So yeah, that Sweden rocks. I get
the Uvalvo guys that I constantly pick on. Actually, not really. I do like Uvalvos.
I get it. I was messaging Warren from there and I was like, dude, you fucking love it.
Incredible up there. So yeah, Sweden rocks. Poland's cool. I saw Lamborghini at some point.
I don't know. It just was so not focused on cars. I rented a,
that's right. What did you rent? It was a Mercedes A 200.
Effectively a Mercedes Golf. Yeah. I'm not going to lie to you. It wasn't fast. I did drive it a lot.
Yeah. But it fucking dude, I don't know what kind of gasmines that car got. It was obnoxious.
And it's the leaders per whatever. I don't know. I mean, I'm sure AI can tell us what it is.
And there are guys with the hot boy ones. They're like a 45 AMG is drowning around,
taunting me with their big spoilers. Yeah. But it was like a golf with the nicest interior
you've ever seen. I was going to say, this looks exceptionally nice. Look at the interior. The
interior is going to fucking blow you away. Over there, like gas is so expensive. Unless you're
idiots like us, like you're not going to, to give a shit. Yeah. I mean, that one's
a pretty good representation these years. I mean, it's just like, wait, really? That one is real
spacey. Can I get one on hand? Easy. Okay. Mine was, I think that one, that to the right one more.
Yeah. It was like two, but my leather was a lot nicer and had like big wood grain.
It was trick, dude. That's cool. Wow. Steve 499. Handsome chance. You're the best, buddy.
I appreciate you, Steve. Yeah. So yeah. The A 200, it drove nice, handled well. They put two big
wheels on them. That's the thing. They love putting big wheels on stupid cars. Oh, so if they had
like six tires, yeah, if I had 16s, it'd be paradise. I was able to like put fucking four
giant luggage in the back of this thing. I had to take out the little luggage cover. I was just
going to ask how was the interior? Interior was sick, dude. Tons of rooms. No, but yeah, space wise.
So much room in the back seat for it. More than you think that's exactly my spec.
Silver hatchback. The guy, Dubai's top choice. The guy at six, because I went from six when I
go out there was like, you must get the bigger car. If there's four of you, and I was like, I
don't know, dude, I think it's a hatchback. It's like, I'm just like, you have, I don't know,
four bags is like, there's no way you can take this. So like, all right, I'll tell you what,
I'll come back if it doesn't fit. So okay, I'll see you in a couple of minutes. Yeah,
fuck, don't come back. He was trying to read me. I talked so nicely about Sweden. He was trying
to remember me a Volvo SUV. That's the fucking last thing I want. They tried doing the same thing
to me in Germany. And I said to him, I think you're going to, I'm trying to read it out. Yeah.
You were trying to give me a Volvo? We're in Germany. Because I think I want the Audi.
I'm pretty sure every Europeans like, well, Americans are going to want an SUV.
I want a wagon. That's all I want. So they don't have any wagons and anything
more expensive than this just got too crazy. Like it was just stupid things. They were all
trucks. I don't want an SUV. I want a stupid European car. So very impressed. As I said,
the gas mileage on it was, I don't even know what it was because I can't understand their system.
I like understand the language. I can't understand their fucking anything else.
Speaking of like Europeans and like non-SUV type situations. So, and you know,
all tracing good things. Vin was also out there. Yeah. You've seen his kind of hullabaloo that
he's doing right now. Bought a RS4. He's out there with James Pumphrey. He's driving it around.
He's drove it from all over the place to all trace and then back to somewhere else.
Surprise, surprise. Breaks down. He drove to Amsterdam. Sure. Yeah. Yeah. It breaks down in
like they come pick it up and tow it away with a five series wagon. I saw that wagon.
Tow it away. That's it looks so cool. Man, what a life. Dude, these fucking cars. I just looked
it up. I had it translated for me. Miles began on 40 to 45 miles again on that car.
Was it running on water? Dude, come on. What are we doing? Yeah. Audi's breaking down
paradise being towed by an older Mercedes BMW wagon. That's significant. Yeah. Makes sense.
I still do. Those guys love towing with wagons out there. A video to your brother. I was like,
take a look at this. Yeah. Maybe you need a wagon. Take a look at this. But yeah,
it looks like all the boys out there had fun at all trace. Altruists look like so much fun, man.
And it's funny to see like, it's funny to see like John and Mike like talking about Polish food
and stuff and like going to Jopka's and like John trying to pronounce the words, which is funny
and like them talking about fucking having schnitzel. Like we fought pretty hard to not have to call
it schnitzel. I know you don't know that and none of your Polish friends are going to tell you that.
But it is. I mean, it's cut letter, but it's fucking, dude, they're talking about having
pierogies and schnitzels. I'm like, yes, these guys are hitting it right. I mean, you can really,
you can give them a grand tour out there. I messaged Mike and I was like, I might try to slip up there.
Sunday, but I'm pretty sure I'll be like sacrificed if I do. Yeah. And I was like,
the train six hours, that sucks. But planes 45 minutes. I don't know. Someday I'll make it.
I'll buy tickets every year. Do you support it? I think it's cool. No matter what you support it.
I told you what happened though. Usually it's in
Rutschwald, which is fucking two hours away. Great drive. Could easily do it by myself.
And this year they moved to Goodein skin. It was like, fuck,
which is the cooler city. Good eyes. It's so much cooler. Yeah.
Rutschwald is unbelievably cool. And especially because I never expected anything from it. I went
there for a couple of years ago when we did, they had lift the cult there. And the show was cool,
but the city was so much cooler. And then I went to Godin's glass year and it was just fucking
like a studio Ghibli movie. I mean, it is fucking insanely cool. So it's probably, I don't know,
I've been a bunch of season polling guys is probably the cool, certainly the, the prettiest.
Nice. So yeah, those guys seem to have a good time. I think everybody that went over,
I like it when people go to Poland and like, what the hell?
Those places are dumb. And it used to be. It wasn't dumped for so long.
When it came back last year, I was like, hold on guys, you've all been wrong.
We're over there in Poland. Everyone's sitting in AC or at a mall with AC,
reading about how poor countries like the UK and France don't have any air conditioning.
And we're just, I'm just like, shit, man, this place used to, you used to be the payoff cops
get out of speeding tickets. Now we're like a certificate of acceptance to get like an AC in
France. Your neighbors have to like, okay, you gotta get like the, the neighborhoods going to
tell you can have it. That's crazy. One of our friends, one of our family friends is dealing
with the fact that she bought a big house in London. She had the AC put in, but she didn't
have the right thing. So she's getting all sorts of a BF for it because she has this AC system.
So she's not allowed to run it. You don't have to take it out of my cold, dead hand,
freezingly cold, dead hands. How would they know she's running it? I have no idea. I think they
ran on each other. I think they ran on each other. She's inside the house. Dude, I don't know. They're
not inside the house. The fan starts running. You're done. You just use it as a fan. It's crazy.
I mean, I started going to Poland 20 plus years ago to think that anything goes better in Poland
than the UK is crazy. It's crazy. I don't know. Polk got assorted, man. They figured it out. It
was fucked. I've never, I've never thought I would do something like this. Yeah. It's
fucking insane now. It's insanely nice. Still the exchange rate is crazy. If you want to have a
cheap vacation, the tickets suck to get out there for sure. Once you're there, dude, I looked at
my credit card statement today. All the charges are like between seven and $28. And it's just like
a billion of them. It's like Jopka, Jopka, Jopka, which is like their 7 11.
Also 7 11's in Sweden. I found out are fucking sick. Oh, are they like Japan style?
They're nicer than any of the Japan ones I've seen. They have like an inside eating area. They
will place you can heat up your food and they have, they all have outside seating like on the
store. Well, not all of them, but some of them have outside seating like cafe stuff.
Very sick. Oh my God. Sweden was the first country in Europe to have a 7 11
opening in Stockholm in 1978. 7 11's in Sweden are everywhere.
That is crazy. It's not quite the level of Jopka and Poland. I was, we were joking that Jopka
and Poland, you can see one from the other one every time. Yeah. We made it five before we didn't
see another one. Yeah. I mean, look at this is a,
mm. Look at that. There's like little canopy. That's the one I was at. That's crazy. That's the
one with the canopy. I sent you guys a picture when we were there, Joe was sitting in the seat out
there. Yeah. Look at this. They look, they do look nice and fancy. That. So that one must be the
fancy one though, because like, yeah. And you know what else? We don't really have that much
cars. I was talking about now there 11 does fit in the car sphere. It is part of the car sphere.
Their drinks in there. Like I don't, I think they just ban a lot of shit that we definitely
don't ban here. Yeah. Their drinks, they had like all these like lemon lime hydrate refreshes with
like magnesium in them or some shit. I mean, they had so many different like, remember when,
uh, what's 50 vitamin water came on? Everybody thought it was good for you. Yeah. It was just
Gatorade with the bottle. It was Gatorade. It was flat soda. Yeah. They have what vitamin water
should have been. Yeah. And there's got to be like 48 different selections. I sent you guys the purple,
I put it online, the purple, uh, red bull they had. Yeah. They had cactus as well. So they had a
couple red bulls, but then everything else was like a, like a vitamin E, but super tasty drink.
That's some lemon, a lime drink that was killer. Look at this. Yeah. It's crazy. That's inside the one.
Convenience store. Oh, that's the airport. That's crazy. They, and they're fucking,
I mean, their food there slaps too. The meatballs. Meatballs were insane. I'm not a,
I am my grandma made meatballs on Italian meatball guy. I'm a bit of a meatball myself.
A mommy's little meatball. I don't, I don't talk to my cousin, but it's a meatball too. We're all
meatballs. Uh, but these sweets had some meatballs. My guy fucking insane meatballs. So yeah, it was
cool. With that said, we've scientifically proven over the past 10 years that three weeks is enough.
You get the end of three weeks. Like I can't wait to be fucking home. It's not that I don't like it
here. It said if I was staying lower, I'd have to live here. So I'm, I'm ready to go.
That's, that's what I said when I did the three weeks then three weeks is a lock. I was like the
same. I'm either never going home or get me home this second. I was so happy to be home. I was like,
this is fucking great. It's fucking great. I can only imagine just at your own, doing your own stuff.
Yeah. My own bed. Even if I, if it was our place solely out there, even though it's, we have our
own section of the house and everything, because it was crazy place out there. Like I would still
be like three weeks is time to get the fuck out of here. But you know what would change things?
Polish it's, it's, it's the traffic in crack out, especially where we are. There's,
there's, it's funny because I picked on Vancouver so bad about them not having any highways or
anything. There are ring roads around crack out, but like to get into the city, it's such a bitch.
And like from my house, it's, it's got to be five miles away. And so you can like see it.
Yeah. At the top of the hill, you can't. So I, I get there day one. I'm like, I'm looking up
Surrons. Dude, you can buy Surrons. It, I mean, they had to be four or five different dealerships
in crack out that had them with blankers in mirrors ready to go. If I had a Surron there,
you can be in the city and I could get to town in five minutes because there's,
Polish people will have like some of the jokes actually make a lot of sense.
Like the main road between my house and like where the little is near my house.
They were paving one section of it a hundred yards long.
There's a back way around it and they just don't divert traffic. Just shut one lane
down and have the other lane on. Are they still paving that dude? They're fucking still paving.
So, okay. So last year when I was there, they were paving that small section.
No, they finished up, but it is that general section. And so when they have the lights controlling
it, it runs fine, but on certain days they have dumb skis, which is just dumb pollocks.
Doing it fucking the whole thing up. They're both doing the stop. And if you know the area,
you can go through this little business park that cuts the whole thing off. And at one point,
my wife's just like, why don't they just make the traffic go through there? They never have to
stop it. Business park is completely empty as well. Because we're in Poland. There's a shop
go there. There was a shop. I can picture it. The business park has a little bit more going on out,
but it's still, it's just like, just why people play funny. You guys, you do fucking stupid shit.
So dumb. But the problem is everybody in the country knows it's stupid shit and nobody,
nobody addresses it. Oh, I just got a Charlie horse. I'm tired. I'm again, beaten up by Charlie
horses. Get back on that vitamin D. Oh, yeah. Gotta stretch her out. There we go.
I'm just sinking in my chair. I'm probably off camera right now, dude.
Charlie horse, dude. Oh man. I haven't seen the young bucks too.
Someday it'll be you. Yes. You be gone. I was telling you earlier, man. I just,
with the free time I've had, I just haven't been like, I'm going to go do this cart. I just haven't.
Yeah, I get it. It's been tough. I think a lot of it was kind of the extreme heat we had for the
fur like that like week or so. It kind of like sucked the life out of like, I'm going to go get
my old shit box and whatever. I said I'm going to get my electric vehicle and drive to work.
So yeah, I just haven't done too much. I think I talked about it last week and the week before,
which is, you know, I'm recording the same night, but it made it look like I was talking
for two weeks straight. I love the, uh, about how I got the seat belts back. So I'm excited.
This week, I'm definitely going to get them put in this way. Those are in all buttoned up.
I stupidly, for some reason, when I took them apart and I prepped them to ship them out,
they all have these like space, like these spacer like shims on them. Yeah. They're all different
like washers or they're washers, but they're thick. Yeah. Some of them are like half space.
Oh, you didn't take a picture. How it goes together. No, love that so much. So you have to go buy
another car to figure out how to go back together. I've been searching Honda tech for like someone
who took seat belts out to like, doesn't see who do we know that has one?
I didn't deal with have a race car. They brought in my belts and yeah, it's the
S it doesn't have an interior. So I can't talk to him. Yeah. Fuck. Uh, so I was like, I'm just
going to just make it a puzzle of my brain and like put together what I think just triangle,
brace some race belts in there and break it back. Well, I figured there's only so many
pieces of each and they all have to match up. Right. Figure it out. Japanese too. So that,
that is how it works. It's just like, there's a German car. Yeah, this now that one takes
five. That one takes one. So okay, there's an even amount. I love that. But it's like,
does the tall with the short is two shorts is the one tall, three short, you know, whatever.
This weekend, that's what I'm going to do. It'll be good. It'll be fun.
Whether it's not going to be too hot. So I'm going to take the BMW drive that around a bunch.
I kind of been debating like doing a bunch of stuff for that.
Does it need AC or BMW? Yeah. Well, who, who hears it? It's hot.
Well, no, it was, it was a Honda was talking about like driving that thing around. Yeah. Yeah.
Yeah. No, that doesn't matter at all. No, it's beautiful. I was just not thinking.
AC must crank and then it's beautiful. Beautiful. Got a new AC compressor, courtesy of Katie Designs.
There we go. Shout out. Yeah. I, I kind of like this morning I was like, it's going to be,
because I came back and I was like, old jet lagged up, you know, first day back. I did okay.
But, you know, it's still like, hey, I might just stay home Tuesday and just fuck around by the pool.
And I woke up, it was a fucking squall. Just crying. I was like, fucking, I'm going to work.
I couldn't, couldn't believe I saw you. No, it's just whatever. I got in there. And then I was,
this morning I was like, let me take some old shipbox and the Pajero is just the easiest
fucking thing. It's got a big subwoofer in it. It's got, it's got AC. It's fucking automatic.
It's now, but now that I'm an old guy, like it's Charlie horses on a podcast,
having an automatic right hand drive SUV that can just crush anything is the best.
Yeah. I just pop in it, put it in R, D. I'm at work. There you go. So that was nice.
I don't know if I'm going to break out of my other old shit.
Eric, did this like weird spot of the summer where you're just like,
yeah, I should probably just sell them all. Sell them all, sell everything by one.
Yeah. I did that. I just did that with watches and it feels nice, but I don't,
I don't know. So it all consolidated down. You can solid into some fucking stupid Italiano
piece of shit. I just speak at a time. I just buy more shit boxes. I know I could buy an old
Italian piece of shit and love it. My thing is like, I've been hot on like the alpha. Oh, no.
GTV 2000. Oh yeah. Can you get them? Yes. No, I would love to fucking, for you to have that.
And so it would be you and my brother just in this garage all the time. Just fucking hate your life.
Constantly working on the thing. That's the 27 turbo of fucking Italian cars.
But tell you what, simple sound thing parked in the corner on a battery tender. Dude,
would look so good. I mean, I could definitely, I could get here really early in the morning,
push it out in the parking lot for the pop to start it and then leave and then come back
like really late at night when everyone's gone, push her in, push her back. We look great. Are
they, are they available? Not. If you want, like, uh, I'm not super well versed in the world of
all the different like models of them. Uh, is it GTV? Yeah. Take a look. I mean, I know you,
I love these cars so much. Yeah. I'm not going to lie to you.
You don't want to 80s one. You want a 70s one. Yes. Yeah.
Yeah. 80s ones are fucking horrific in the best way. Yeah. They kind of like real wedgie.
Dude, this GTV two thought this has to be a 100000 dollar car.
Isn't all the stuff unreasonable. 55 grand. This one just sold for. Yeah. I mean,
on 2019. All right. I mean, you see these things and you're just like,
yeah, I could, I could fucking fall for it. Italian redhead and get wrecked.
I could definitely just love to be punished the rest of my life for any things. Yeah. I mean,
they are so sick. Uh, let's see more like it here. What is all these other, you know, numbers
that kind of go along with them? I'm not super well versed in that world. So I don't know what
they all mean. It's Julia sprint GT Velots. Velotsio. It's like 35 Gs. It does not look as good.
Yeah. That, that fucking GTV 2000 is sick. I don't know enough about them, but I know I've
seen great content made of them and just being like, like the alpha nerd guys or whatever they are,
the guys that make the crazy parts of Alphas. Oh, and then you get that. Remember that's
the fucking 90s one. The 90s ones are crazy. Was it a 2000? Yeah. That. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
One of those my mouth. There we go. That's fucking hilarious. Twin spark.
Come on. Put all the plugs in it. You got 16 things to replace now.
Yeah. There's been something about like the 70s cars, like the 2000 twos I've been really into
lately. Oh God. I'm glad you just, if you had, not that one, if you had one of the old 70s ones,
the shit you could talk about everything on the road right now. I mean, like, it's too complicated.
But yeah, these things, the 2000 twos, they really, but they've been weighing on the mind heavily.
You're like, just give me a two liter ITB. Some, some fucking side draft of cops.
Just run like rat ass. Doesn't matter. Sounds awesome.
Yeah. Yeah. It's been, it's been heavy. What's it say? The modus thing that engine? Yeah.
Okay. 131 horsepower. 190.
19 her. 62 CC tops out of 5,500 RPM. This is like an Italian effort. Oh, the green.
And this, I mean, it's a beautiful car. I didn't even know if this is they,
they all slightly change the shape of the car. There's a million different little like,
how much are these guys right? Let's slam this by it now. Look at a green one. Look at that.
Yeah. It's beautiful car. I think like,
that's not even this completely different vehicle. And we're buying a rally car. Yeah.
Anyway, that's kind of where my, yeah, I think that tree you write. Oh my God. TCS. Oh, that's
my boy in the chat. What is up? What are you sharing? She do alpha 2000 CTVs. Where the fuck
this thing is GTV. Corny needs one. Corny needs one bad. It's like the MGB GT. There's something
about those cars from that era right now that just like really just scratching away at my brain.
Those have the heated seats at the car and fire. So they work. They certainly do.
This is from Sheamus. Two minutes ago, you on podcast. Yeah, we're here. We're here. We're
here for you. We live. I think this is like shop night at TCS to be honest. Really? Oh,
yeah. I think it's down. I tuned it 1975 Opel, Monta today. Is that the same?
It's cool looking ones. Close enough. Sheamus. I mean, what do you, how do you tune one?
What is a screwdriver? He tunes rotaries so he can tune anything.
I've got that fucking car. Fools fart in that. It's the benzene. Look at that. What a cool ride.
What a fucking unit. I think off that D. I think it's a goodbye. I mean, you have three of those
instead of a topolino. I think about we had the whole crew running amok and these things.
This one's got the actual I like the utility. Yeah. I like the steak body too. But the fucking
space you put a couple of bench seats in that you have two people in that thing. I mean,
for this one's brand new, we go overlanding. Oh my God. All right. So people who are just
listening. Sorry. Piazio. Yeah. Piazio Ape Ape 50. It's just a Vespa with like a utility bed.
I think it still has the Vespa fucking thing on the handlebars. Yeah. Ape 50. Anyway, they rock.
They're cool. I'm into them. Yeah. We should get a couple of these in here.
Couple of those. So that's where I'm at. That's beautiful. All right. What else do I have? I mean,
there's nothing else to really give a shit about. Let's see. Hey, Paul stars live in the U.S. They
got banned. Why do they get banned? Too many Chinese parts. Gotta get those fucking guys out of here.
Too many. So right. They're not coming back. They're going next year.
So they have to sell what about people who currently have them and keep it, but they can't
sell beyond the 2026 model year. What if you put out a 2026 model year in 2027? I mean,
that might be a way around it, but I don't think the Swedes are into that. I'm yes. So there you
can take 25,000 bucks like off the stuff on the floor right now. If you've been looking to buy a
bull. Who's working on them? They're electric. Who knows? I guess you can buy. They're taking
25,000 dollars over the things. You can buy a a Polestar for dual motor for like 30 grand. Brand
new. A lot of car. It's a lot of car. But yeah, there's some Chinese ownership going on. It's
brought them into the fucking danger zone. Taking them into deep water. They're not coming back.
Polestar for let's see what do we got here? I'll say them as our P 71 Jesus. So they're going to
take take 25 off. Boom. Get out of actually let's see. 18,000 purchase incentive. Yeah,
0% APR. I'm trying to get rid of dude. Polestar Boston 53.
They're just dumping these things. 0% APR. How many months you give me 84 to 0%
was it say I could be hoodwinked and we could all be driving Polestar. I could be hoodwinked.
That's the expensive one. Get the one that's like 50 grand. That's 30 grand. What about this? Could
be my next cheap EV. You better grab it soon or just grab it and put it on deck. I mean 90%
chance they're just going to take it away from you as well. 544 power home charge over five hours
level. You're going to end up having the fucking it's going to be like the guys with the fucking
are 33s. The secret service shows up and they you can have that. Why not? Why are they so mad?
Dude stuff on deck right now. Everything except for that one on the discount.
Polestar one long range. Let's say it's this thing. How is that $157,000?
I'm not saying these guys are good at what they do. That seems crazy.
I don't even know what is the what are the models? What do we got? We got Polestar three seems to be
the most popular. Yeah, I'm not going to lie. Those are expensive cars. These are way expensive.
Holy cow. Why don't I look at them all sorted by low to high? I think I might have been looking
at the cheapest one available. No. So by let's see low to price low to high. Here we go.
Imagine that EV they got to put that it has heated seats.
Polestar for long range dual motor. We're chopping 18. 18 off the top. That's just 18
right off the top. What about when I call on the exterior black, we're calling it space.
18. Wait, $25,000 cash purchase rebate incentive for customers to purchase a new
Polestar four vehicle with cash. So if you if you zero percent APR plus 18 grand off,
or you pay cash, they take 25, 25 off of the 48 or 25 off of the 66. Wow.
Dealer affiliated fleet companies not available July 21, 26 must take my July 30.
I mean, though it's zero percent APR, depending on how long that term is. Yeah.
$19,000 clean vehicle lease incentive. That could be huge. I might be enough. This thing
might cost you nothing. I mean, I think if you could stack those incentives, they're paying you.
Give you a thousand bucks to take this thing. I think you could call these guys and play
fucking hardball. So I think the lease would be the best play.
Lease. Can you lease it? That was it. What do you mean? It was right here. Clean vehicle lease
incentive. $19,000. What do you give it back and they crush it? Probably. How? But this is how I
got the the Model 3 for so cheap. Yeah. Listen, the lease math means you can get rid of it at the end.
That's my point. It's not my problem. The value of this thing when it's it is when they get the
math going, that's why it's not giving you a number. So $19,000 off of the 48. Yeah, but
soundly the lease math is going to suck. It can't it can't be that bad because of I guess
the test still exists, right? Be like, I got $31,000. What are we doing? What am I coming to
take off your lot right now? What piece of crap am I taking off your lot? I have $31,000 cash.
$19,000. So $19,000 plus that doesn't that doesn't even include what your state gives you.
You're going to clear 20 grand. No, did it this did all state stuff go away?
Federal. Federal. All right. Federal. Right. Right. Yeah. So if you're on Rhode Island,
it's something if you're a mass, it's something. I mean, you might be getting out of here clean.
You might be you might own zero dollars. That's what I'm thinking. So if you're looking at
this thing could in theory be like leasing like a $20,000 car. Yeah.
Would be crazy cheap. And then at the end of the lease, you're like, here you go.
Is there a lease calculator? No, I was looking for one. Here you go. See it. Bye.
You want me to deliver it to the junkyard now or what?
You wanted to pull the place and leave it at the gate. Yeah. What do you want?
Oh, wait, wait, does it have two chargers? Nobody knows, man. All right. Well,
anyway, I don't want to get anyways. Yeah. I mean, a poll star, listen,
they're fucking trying to get rid of these things and I can't blame them. They're getting banned.
Carmen can't say the poll story could kicked out even with some being built here. Yeah. It's
the whole thing's fucking nuts. The whole thing's fucking nuts. So we get some bullying
happening. What's going on? A little bit of bullying coming down. Good vehicles.
I've never heard that they're not. Yeah. Is he trying to push them out because they're good?
Dude, the Chinese car dealerships in Poland out of control.
We didn't have any B. Y. D's like ding dong. B. Y. D. is like the fucking most real deal thing
there. You be driving around and there's be a fucking free use Billy Bob driving. What the
fuck is that? Rubus like, dude, Rubus got everything. There was one that was literally like ding
dong. And they're also my mother was like, yeah, we go test. You want to go test electric cars?
I'm like, yeah, call them up and let's get signed up. I think we're going to see B. I. D.
B. Y. D. She starts up. We're going to MG. I'm like, I'm not going to. I don't care about English
heritage, but there's no way I'm going to drive a Chinese owned knock of fucking MG. The greatest.
Yeah. Yeah. We got a dong fang. Dong fang. Yeah. They had a fang is is in a rubah.
Uh, B. Y. Y. Gack motors. Uh, and then Nickelodeon, Changon, Changon,
we're driving around a rubah and I'm just like, what's going on here?
Sam, I'm driving around there. Fucking mystery vehicles surrounding me,
but I was in Munich and I'm sitting at whatever I'm eating and this like silent vehicle pulls up.
Okay. This thing. I'm like, we'll get at it. Look twice. I'm like, what is this?
I had to get up, like walk around and try to figure out my God. It's a B. Y. D.
Never seen one in person before. Yeah. B. Y. D. is a B. Y. D. seem to be pretty reputable.
Like ding dong fangling ding dong. Awesome. Ling long tires. Grab a chunk. Yeah.
Uh, yeah, it was, it was crazy. So you're going to end up being like the guy with like the fisker.
If you get the, if you get the pulse, if you buy the Polestar, if you buy the Polestar,
I mean, it's just cross your fingers after a couple of years. I mean, I don't know. It's a golf
cart. Okay. What can happen? A lot. Yeah. Like a lot can go wrong. It's not real incentive for them
to fix the shit they sold. No, it's not like you're, are you bringing it to a Volvo dealership?
Like is the Polestar dealerships at Volvo? It's kind of, it's a different company at this point.
But are they working on them? I don't think so. Like, like a scion Toyota thing. It's not the
same. No, it's like totally different. World's apart. Ding dong and fan Len.
I don't know. I just, I love that show. I've made, I've tried to make the Polestar joke so many
times and nobody gets it. I have no idea. I can't find anything else about CC.
She's on a live streams and I love it.
That's crazy dude. Your mom's a Polestar. It's crazy. Yeah. Message, message one of us on
Instagram. So we know that you're real. Just know where you're real. It's fucking unbelievable.
0000. It's definitely Josh. Check it out. Just pretending we have more fans, you know.
There's no chance Josh would come up with such a good joke. It's true. It's true. Yes. She's
way too fucking funny to be any of us. Shook on the other hand. He got to pull that off. Could be
shook. I don't know that. I think shook. No CC is a name. Shook one. Never going to listen to this.
Yeah. Next week. Yeah. We're definitely going to bring up
Polestar, get an opinion on it and then tell him his mom is a Polestar.
It's going to be fucking great. Anyway, episode 400.
Well, we know she's really pretty to figure out.
So Celia is strong name. Yeah. It's great name. Wonderful name.
Strong name. We appreciate you being an actual real person. It's shocking for us. Yeah.
Everybody else is a bot in the chat. Yeah. What else you get going on?
God, I don't know. This is some fucking other bullshit going on. What do I got for
our new car payment hits an all time record of 777 777 $777 for a car payment. Yep. And new
seven year loans are the new normal. That's crazy.
Buyers are putting less money down. Dom payments making it just 11.6% of the average
purpose price, the lowest percentage in six years. Affordability is kind of fucked. So they're just
doing Italian house loans on these things. 36 and a half percent of new vehicle. Financers
opted for a loan of 73 months or more. Wait, quarter to 73. They do all these weird fucking things.
I remember when I was financing something like, yeah, we get you like a 64. Are you like,
that's not a real fucking term. What are they defer payment? They just throw,
they just throw fucking no, 72 should be the one. They just throw one on the end.
Oh my God. So if you're like, Hey, I really, it has to be under 500 bucks and you're at like 503.
They're like, all right, cool. We'll do it. 73. You come in at 499 71. The average amount
financing new record of 44,156 up 1700 from a year ago. The average lifetime interest of
payments is going to hit a record of almost 10,000 bucks, 98 hundred bucks.
Yes. So this actually sparks like a good quick little combo before we depart. Yeah.
The Tesla leases up is in, in like nine months. Yeah. It's up in like nine months and I could do
like an early turn in mainly because the mileage is so low compared to like what I bought. Yeah.
And it begs the question, what do I get?
What's up that? Uh, Rivian model Y three or what have that fucking model R three?
The R two. No, our three is like a few years out. All right. So still a few years out for that.
R twos are they're hit. They're hitting the streets. Actually, uh, cousin Chris saw one
while he was out in Irvine. What do you say? So it was cool. So I mean, size pretty cool.
Get a bagger. It's fucking bag around. I'm here to get a bag from a baby in the bag.
The left or the right one. Either one dude. Yeah. Connect them. Uh, I mean, if I were,
so what do you got seven months? Hey, yeah, I got about seven months. Let's talk to the boys
at Polestar. See what kind of deal we can work out with. If it's crazy enough, if the deal's crazy
enough, you just get it now and you just kind of just pop around, ride it out. 72 months on that
thing. So it's like, do you get another EV? EV was in the ownership experience so far.
Been great. Been wonderful. Or do you just get something older? You know,
I mean, obviously I have become just, I want an old car now. I just like old shit. I love my old
Lexus. I love both old Lexuses. If I can find like a, I think my fucking glory years are the early
2000s. If I can find something fairly clean from the early 2000s, like a cool thing, I'm about it.
Give me like a 2005 Escalade dude. Fuckin boom. The five escalade would be really cool.
Yeah. I'm just, and then also you want to be a two SUV household. No, that's fucking lame. You know,
so yeah, that's true. You don't want to be a two SUV household. What'll we get early 2000s is not
this. I mean, any of the Lexus product is excellent. You can sedan wagon, get a long, long boy Lexus LS.
Long, you see my driveway. Cause I got the short boy, which is fucking giant. I'm just gonna be
hanging the trunk out the street. A long boys reclining fucking rears and everything. Yeah.
Seat foot rests. Would be great for the baby though. Yes. I'm saying get a long boy LS.
Just fucking hammer miles on that thing. And then you can, you can just keep it until you see
something that's appealing because it's not going to cost you a lot of money. No,
it'd have been like the 10 to $20,000 range is going to be fucking paradise. I've been thinking
about it a lot. I've talked to your brother about it some and he's having a hard time comprehending
that not buying something new. Yeah. This is a new car guy right now. Yeah.
I mean, his car sick. It was fucking hilarious money. Yeah. But it's sick.
I, yeah. A lot of money to, you know, for me to just drive to work in it.
Yeah. I mean, this is my drive to work car. This is a scenario I fucking find myself in every day
and like it's a saying I told you earlier, like I know there's an M five wagon in the pipeline
with my fucking name on it. Do I fucking really need that thing? No, definitely not.
But it'd be hilarious to have and drive for three years and then be like, yeah,
fuck this thing. I don't want it. Porsche Taycan says tall,
yeah. I mean, Taycans are just fucking going off a cliff. Porsche lost so much money doing EV stuff.
I have those completely falling off. Dude, unbelievable. All right. Let's see what we're
going on. He's right. I mean, you could, you could have a Taycan for fucking nothing.
I am like the one guy. I think they look cool. They do look cool. The problem is a Taycan at
50% off is still fucking hilarious money. It's still 40 something grand. Yeah. A lot of money.
A lot of money. It's definitely more that I'm willing to spend on a car. Yeah. I mean,
if you're 50 grand, dude, you could buy the greatest Lexus of all time.
For 50 grand, you're probably getting a long car, 500 50 grand. You know how many
fucking other piles of shit I can get like three me, odd is
yeah. An LX. Maybe honest. They're not as cheap as I thought they would be. I think they're cheap
based on what they were worth. I mean, because this thing has 19,000 miles on it and it's 50 grand,
that's fucking hilarious. This is like a 100000 dollar car. I'm trying to call me like
it is a bow. Come with it. Yeah. Can you take the bow off that thing? How does the interior
already look so old? I was talking about with one of my friends today who's always has bad ideas.
And it was talking about Asin Martins and he was looking at one that was a couple years old and he's
like, the interior looks fucking terrible. I'm like, it's just how they sell new cars. Yeah.
Yeah. They just make the interior a little less terrible every time. Yeah. Here it looks ancient.
So anyway, be honest, like
if you're doing an EV, you want it to be a fucking appliance. You get tight cans, not an
appliance anymore. Some fucking poor thing. My burden. Yeah. My cross to bear is what
I want to deal with this thing. Get a banana ram along long hatch. Banana Ram is nice. I do
like the first gen banana Ram is. I think they're, I don't think they're worth the money though.
The banana Ram is. If you're buying old, you get to buy something dependable.
I think the first gen actually were. I don't think so. Let's see. All right. Oh, here we go. We're
talking 19 grand. We must just pull it. Yeah. Yeah. This is what we're talking about. Now we're
fucking in it. Yeah. Let's see. We got to change the engine here. Yeah. Is there a V8 option?
Yeah. Let's see. Cylinders. We need eight. Give me the eight. They stopped making the eight, you know.
Let's get the eight anymore. All right. I mean, listen, we're definitely deeply in affordable
range. This one, don't worry. It's only got 108,000 miles. What part of Brooklyn is it? But it has
the red guts. Red guts, little silvery blue. I'm thinking this one's actually in New Jersey. GTS.
This is. Got to go looking good. This is disturbingly cool. Oh, Michael. Are you?
Well, partner. Angle. Angle. Nice spot. It's not a Porsche dealership though. That's crazy.
It's got a 100000 miles. It's crazy. So all right. Well, anyway, I don't know. I guess
I got some time to figure it out. Yeah. I mean, I don't know. Oh, it's all good. I thought they
were cheaper too. Yeah. I think they were really in the bottom, but I guess they were just so
expensive. Yeah. Like, was you look at that, right? And you could buy that take in for 50 grand
used. It's got 20,000 miles on it. You just, you'll buy a new Model 3. You could least one.
Yeah. And never have it be your problem. No, it would never be an issue. The appreciation is on
Elon. He's on Mars. He doesn't care. No. And you shouldn't either. Yeah. I don't know. I guess
I got some time to suss it out. Having limited time with the take on. I just don't think it's
not the way, but they are getting cheap. Panama could be the way, but also guys that do whatever
they want. Some guys will do whatever it takes to get a Porsche. Like there are people actually buying
the truck things. The, oh, the Macan. Both of them. The Cayenne. I do like the first gen Cayenne.
Well, the first gen Cayenne, those are connoisseurs driving those. Connoisseurs. Somoliers. Somoliers.
Driving the, but like, because if you're like, Oh, it's a Porsche for 50 grand,
you're like, yeah, that's cool. It's a Porsche. It doesn't have any cool Porsche stuff. It doesn't
make it wiggle. It's kind of like, yeah, it's kind of stays, stays there. What makes it wiggle is that
the, the Panamera is like not yet a sedan, not quite a wagon. Lift back eight cylinder. Yeah.
Probably as good stereo seats, bed of hammers. I bet it guaranteed to hammer threads. Yeah.
Guaranteed to hammer. Hey, you know what? Maybe that's the way. I'm panoramic.
I never driven one. I should go drive one. Yeah. I know Joe wants one. She wants to get a long
roof one, which I would, I'm a hundred percent in on. Yeah. But I don't, I don't think there,
the problem with Porsches, their MSRP's are like buy people, buy psychopaths. Yeah. They're just
like, you remember this car that was 110? It's 225 now. And the people like, Oh, cool, please.
Yeah. Can I get a little lift for one? I guess it's just a way. Well, yeah. Let me get a 911T
for 250 grand. Like what's wrong with you idiots? I don't know. You know any shit boxes you could
have for that? Probably have 250. You could have a whole garage of shit boxes. You know what I mean?
Honestly, yeah. Whole junkyard. I think we've done it. Yeah. Not easy to be a grip king in a drift
king world. I talked to grip king today. I'll see. It's good, man. It's good. Seems to be a grip guy
now. It's gripping it up. I always said, I always heard he's had a strong grip. Yeah. We talked about
some grievances, you know, he's grieving. Yeah. You know, you have him on. It's the ebbs and flows,
the ebbs and flows. I'd love to have him on. It's like fucking, he's one of my favorite. Actually,
he's not in here, which is really chapped me up, but it's really tough. He's one of my favorite.
It's like shook always bringing the drama, you know, yeah. So it was in this fucking drift guys
love to have a fucking soap opera. They do. It is a soap opera. Fucking soap opera. It's the,
uh, the real housewives of, uh, yeah, fucking Thompson, the flighty boys. Yeah. Sometimes
she's like, what are you guys doing? Driving cars around the track. It's a real housewise. Yeah.
Yeah. Just go have fun out there. You're doing something that 99.9% of the world doesn't even
understand. I do like he had, he had a rant, a grip king had a rant about style. Yeah. No,
it's funny. I agree with him. I think it's fucking hilarious. Yeah. Stiles degraded. He's right.
He's out there fucking dumping his heart into a fucking Miata. Yeah. Making a look at fucking insane.
People used to wear suits on suits on airplanes. You know what I mean? At least a college shirt. Yeah.
Now fucking people out there, Batman pajamas, cookie monster pajamas with
fucking slip off the slippers. Yeah, dude. It's a different world now. Just be a real country.
Dude, the fucking, the amount of pajama pants in public going too far. It's crazy. Have you
ever worn pajama pants in public? No. I wouldn't even wear pajama pants to get the mail at the
end of my driver. Dude, if I had to think of the trash I'm putting like fucking pants, jeans.
Yeah. Put a belt on talking my shirt. You can't fucking. Yeah. I don't know. It's crazy. I don't
get it. You know, that's what they do in Poland. Great country. No pajama pants.
No pajama pants in public. I think you might go to jail straight to jail. See retol
Yeah. I don't know. Listen, he's right. Style. It's not stressed anymore. People sleep it on style.
Z and GS are the pajamas in public of the drift world. You know, majority of these and G's.
Okay. G 35 G 30. Okay. I don't know. I mean, yeah, they don't always disturb me as much as they do
everyone else. No, I think, think they're all right. Yeah. If you just keep the stock
exhaust on things, they're fucking fine or put and exhaust on it. Just yeah. Yeah. It's one or the other.
Yeah. No, we know you mean G. S. I mean, no one's crazy. Yeah. No one's crazy like that.
Yeah. I don't know. I think there's a lot of, there's still a lot of cool guys doing cool stuff
with drift cars. Yeah, of course. And yeah, I don't know. I like it. I haven't been in Olox City
this year. I feel bad, but I haven't been around a lot and I got to try to make it up to one soon.
Cause I do, I do love this. skid racing. It's been a, a busy bit.
Busy times, man. A busy bit. So let me get out to something. Yeah.
Check out the boys. But anyways, hopefully if this podcast gets out before a Saturday,
we do have a donut meet this Sunday. So we'll see you there. 9 11. Yeah.
What? Josh put something up on the Instagram as well. Did he? No, we'll have Josh put something
on the Instagram. Josh put something on the Instagram, but we're gonna have a nice little
donut meet. Senator to see everyone out here. Well, this will be beautiful. I just checked.
Yeah. Let me check again in case it changed the last time I saw this big Ian.
This is my guy. Hey, wherever I'm gonna meet this Sunday, man, Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.
Love to have you out. Wow. I mean, Sunday looks like the best day. Yeah. We'll get like,
donut meet time is going to be anywhere from like 70 to 80 degrees full sun. What's the
percentage stone cold lock? 100% there ain't a blip in the radar. Radars wide open wide open.
Blue skies, man. Get a blue boy. That's all we got blue bird. Yeah. So we're gonna get a
blue boy. So we'll see you guys out there. What else beat bucks for boys by motor.com.
So be free, be free, even though none of you are going to do it.
We got a little bit info. Revival motoring.com on PayPal.
And I'll try to come up and give you your mini R32. That sounds great. We'd love to have you up here,
even if you don't bring it. No, we just raffling off to all the seats we have here.
We should sell some seats. We should sell some studio space. We got just people's seats,
maybe a couple fucking, of big screen fucking TVs. We got three 55 inch TVs
in this one room. So I can really really stack it up. We're really, we're gonna be yard sale.
All the money in assets, not liquid. Money's not liquid in here. They're all Samsung.
Money's, we're a Samsung family. The one remote turns all of them on.
That's pretty smart. We got our money tied up in assets, baby. Yeah. Not trying to move. Hard
money, hard money. But if you come through, hey, maybe the first guy here gets
a TV. I don't know. Wait till Josh is like, it's not gonna hear it. TV.
Anyway, that's all we have. Thank you guys for listening, for your support. Say, how do you
mothers for us? We're gonna be back next week. Episode 400. We're gonna have a huge guest. That's
it. 400 is a real one. It's gonna be a real one. Yeah. Anything else? I don't know. Just text me.
Yeah. Sliding to my DMs. Yeah. All right. Charlie horse out.
Play us out.
About this episode
Chuck and Corey kick off a long-awaited return, apologizing for the podcast’s irregular release schedule and teasing the crew’s march toward episode 400. The conversation quickly turns to local meetups: a Donut Meet Sunday (9–11) with plans to cruise to Snack Bar Royale in Jamestown, plus a 7-Eleven meet Saturday tied to UFC prelims and Chuck’s DJ plans. Between event talk, they swap travel stories from Poland/Sweden, including a great car-focused vlog and Stockholm’s laid-back, near-24-hour daylight vibe.
