and Friday morning.
Yeah, with low temps Friday night
into the high 20s, low 30s.
And 30 mile per hour wind.
In some gusty winds.
It's probably not going to be in the car.
It's not to mention we're supposed to get like
one to three inches of rain Tuesday and Wednesday.
So normal spring weather here in Ohio, just.
Yeah, 70 and 72, Monday and Tuesday and 40.

So.
We need to figure out how to swap that.
Naturally, Attica's kind of doing the crapshoot every year.
You know, it's a crapshoot if you're going to race.
Atomic was supposed to open this weekend.

So I haven't looked that far south
how that might be effective.
But that's usually a pretty decent show for an opening.

but that could draw some cars out there.

It's not even remotely, it used to be.
So we'll get to racing at some point.
But like we said, it's March in Ohio.
Could be 70 degrees next week all week.
And I never know.

But for us, really not a lot to talk about this week.
But we still want to give you that podcast.
That's right.
The big one, one of the big ones
happening, the word of outlaws return to Volusia
for two days for the Bike Week Jamboree, they called it.
They got both shows in where Sheldon got himself
a win on the year.
And then Anthony Macri continued some good runs at Volusia.
That was a pretty good race.
He won on the bottom.
They moved over to Talladega on Friday, March 6.
They're supposed to have a two day, or what, the mag,
I think, on Saturday.
That rained out early.
Yeah, that rained out Saturday or Friday night.
Yeah, so they only got Talladega in.
But one familiar winner, not as of late,
but I think a lot of people were excited to see back
in Vickery Lane.
Donnie Schatz got himself a win yet again.
First time in like 514 days?
Last year is a winless.
Yeah, since October of 24.
And Donnie's been through a lot.
Lost his dad.
Lost a ton.
Well, split with Tony Stewart.
Don't know exactly how that went.
Sounds like it did not end well.
Even in his interview the other night.
Yeah, sounds like it wasn't amicable.
Well, they basically told him that he sucks,
and he's not good at it.
And you're done.
Yeah, and went through five different rides,
trying to find a home, or just trying to do a deal.
Get the season done.
Well, like I said, this team didn't start.
They didn't start putting this team together
until December 8.
That's why at Volusia, they just, they rushed.
And there was just a few pieces, one quite right.
Yeah.
But he says, and he had lots of, he started like crap early
in the night, but came on strong in the feature
back in February.
Yeah, and he says, this team, he goes,
yeah, I thought it was an awesome interview.
He's actually shedding some tears.
That showed you how much it meant to him.
And he's like, hey, you just started
drinking the Kool-Aid.
Yeah.
He says, maybe I do suck after you're with all these.
But he says, this team's fighting for him.
And he says, I think this team, he goes, it's funny.
Because he goes, it's great when you
got people that's backing you, that believe in you,
and got good stuff.
And he goes, I think this team, he goes,
I think we'd go rip town off in a row if we wanted to.
He goes, we're going to have like, which he's got fire.
Yeah.
I don't think there's any doubt about that.
And what I like about it is what
I have seen on his Snapchat and even in his interviews.
He's the Donny that he was when him and his dad started
before he got with Tony Stewart and that.
And that's the cool Donny.
And I think if he keeps that, I think his nieces has helped.
He's been helping them out a lot.
A little more laid back.
Well, and it puts things in perspective.
I know him and his dad were super close.
And he was sick.
And then you lose it.
You just kind of realize some things in life.
And I think he's like, it's time to not be so serious
maybe and have fun and enjoy it and just not
be so pissed off and uptight type thing.
And I think that's helping a lot.
And I think I think the win a lot of races.

I think he I think he'll have double digit wins this year.

Bryce Lucius won on our own.

Run right there, battling with Don Don,
the first quarter of the race, actually first half,
and a strong fourth place finish.
I mean, the only two cars we got buying was Sheldon and Buddy.
That's, you know, million dollar operations
against operation that's not even a quarter of that.

And yeah, great job for Bryce Lucius, so.

It's crazy him and Casey Jeter is that.
Casey's running the hell out of Bill Rose's car.
That's the best I've seen that car ever run.

I mean, we know it lacks in some areas, but.
And I've heard from several sources that, you know,
because we know Zach Hampton was in it.
We know some other people.
And supposedly it was the magic numbers,
like $200,000 or $300,000 to take that deal on.
Casey didn't bring any remotely close.
I think from what I hear, Casey got one sponsor
for like maybe $10,000.
And that's all that's fun in that besides Bill.

And didn't they, one night at Volusia,
have to make an engine swap or something too and.
He made the dash one night before.
And you know, he's got top 10 finish already.
I mean, I think he's surprising a lot of people.

but you know, he'll, he'll be all like, I don't think so either.
And a lot more new tracks coming.

And he's still new to four 10s.
That's weird.
I mean, yes, he raced them last year.
But he's in our 305.
Hell, he's in the FCS 305.
He's came from pavement, the FCS 305s.
And then.
Dabbled in four 10s.
Dabbled in four 10s a little bit, but 360s.
He had some 360 ones last year.
And he ran some four 10s.
But I mean, he hasn't ran a ton of four 10s yet.
Yeah.
Not in comparison to some people, for sure.

And we saw his old ride.
And I think we talked about it.

I know they released like their graphic scheme,
but they're night as in the 11N.

Brand Shepherd won night two because Shepherd
was in the mix with Moran on night when I watched that race.
And then, let's say, Don O'Neill, Hudson O'Neill
got the win on Thursday, Friday.
O'Neill went back to back.

Yeah, they rained out the one night, Friday night.
Yeah, they rained out on Friday night.
So they raced Thursday and Saturday.
Then Hudson won on Saturday.
Yeah, 25,000 went over to and suffered a flat tire
after lap 37.
So Hudson O'Neill and Heritage Leading took her off from there.
Then they went to Golden Isle, which Jonathan Davenport
came back for Ocala.

Yeah, I'd tore up some stuff and some other people's stuff
and just said he misjudged it, whatever.

I think he's sold his side of it now,
but it's a golden aisle speedway.

Which, you know, previous years, they
tried to race it in January.
It was always kind of cold, whether it was always
kind of questionable.
But moving it back to March seemed to be the ticket.
First three nights, I had one winner, Jonathan Davenport
from his boat.
Well, they rebanked it a little bit too the way it sounds.
They banked it a little different.
Which makes sense, because the races
there historically haven't been that great.
It always seemed like it was missing just something, so.
They found that something.
Yeah, but Jonathan Davenport won the first three nights,
and then Devin Moran got himself
the win at the finale.
From 22nd.
Which was a hell of a race.
Yes, all four of them was good races.
I mean, each one was like, man, this is great.
This is great.
Then you thought you had the race of the week
on Thursday, then Friday.
It's like, man, just as good as Thursday, then Saturday.
He's like, what in the hell is actually really happening?
Because Tray Mills, come on, nowhere
to lead his first slaps.
Looked like he could have the win in the bag,
and just entered.
They was running four wide for lead,
and he entered too high and gotten up on the wall,
and Huddy had nowhere to go, but into him,
and Mills took a hell of a flip.
Yeah, and landed up on the bank outside of the wall.
Which ended up taking Huddy out, too.
Then Max Blair, that had taken
his last emergency provisional, started 25th,
gave him the lead, and Devon, from 22nd to 2nd,
that was in the B main.
So 1st and 2nd started deep in the field.
Yeah, it was wild.
Yeah, so Devon Moran won.
Max Blair second, Garrett Albuson third.
And yeah, three of the top four
started further back in 20.
Moran 22nd, Blair 25th, and 4th place, Claire Harris, 24th.
Yes, I mean, it was spectacular.
I mean, all four nights were excellent.
I watched all four nights, and they was spectacular.
And I was kicking myself in the ass for not going,
because we was talking about going Friday and Saturday.
Everybody, James Honeycutt and Ken Bomber down there,
and sending me snapchats from the beach, and, oh, it's only
80 here, and we're on the beach drinking a beer,
and we're like, ugh.
They suck.

Yeah, so the points leaving, gold,

Hudson O'Neill leads by 20 points.
Yeah, because all the drops are done now, because they drop.
They took the best five or eight out of everything, I think.

Devon, by 20, goes back a little further to Brandon
Overton in third, and then Clay Harris is your fourth place.

probably going to be competitive in that area.
He knows the places very well, so that's all the race

They announced a little bit of a new format for this year.

Aiming challenge.
It was the aiming challenge kind of deal going.
My vote was for a winner circle challenge,
but I guess that didn't work.
Thought I'd hear more negative about it,
but it doesn't seem to be so bad.
I guess, Dwayne, what do you think?
And explain to everyone what the challenge is.
So what it is can't happen the first week,
because it'll be the first week whenever that is.
But starting the second week, all three divisions,
not just one division, all three divisions,
the main winners from the week before,
if they're in the redraw.
So if it's a two heat race format,
you automatically get the six.
If it's a three or four race heat format, which the top.
So the top two draw in each heat,
then the two fastest qualifiers.
Fastest from each group.
Well, in the four tens, they don't split the groups
in the leg models.
Yeah, so it's two fastest qualifiers.
So anyways, basically it's the top two in each heat,
then two fastest qualifiers go in the redraw.
So two heat race format, six redraw.
If you won the aiming the week before
and you're automatically in redraw, you get six.
If it's three or four heat race format,
or it's the top two and then the two fastest,
you automatically get the eight.
So technically, you could be two spots better
than the four heat race format,
because 10 redraw, there's time guys has drawn 10.
You know, so, but you gotta be in the redraw.
And here's the good part.
If they come back and win the aiming,
say like Cap Henry or Jamie Miller or Kyle Moore
or Rusty Slink have several times,
even Devin Shields, when he was hot,
at one time he's slow and old or something now,
I don't know.
Too many, he's got too much salt on cars.
Too much, he's got too much lion,
too many lion colors on that car.

so you get the, get six or eight
and you come back and win that night, four tens,
you get a thousand dollar bonus,
late models, 750, 305s, 500 bucks.
And so to me, I don't think it's that bad
because it's no worse than drawing bad.
A shit pill, which happens all the time.
Yes, it happens.
It's a lot.
Cap won from eight many times last year.
So, and you get extra money.
So basically, if you win, you're going for 5,000
no matter what the next time in a four ten,
late models you're going for 2750,
305s you're going for 1,500.
You're almost, you know, you're getting 50% more pay
to win on the four or 305s.
I mean, so I think that's why they're not complaining
because one, I get it, John Bors's goal with this
is he wants new winners.
Same guys are always winning.
And you hear that from Attic all the time.
But same guys always winning, same guys always winning.
Well, they're good.
Yeah.
You know, and there's not a sloush field at Attica
so they're earning that every night.
But he wants to get, you know,
more winners, which I get
because people get tired of seeing the same winners.
I get it.
But one, I think it was put together,
if you're going to do something like,
because you're handicapping them or penalizing them,
you penalize them for being good.
It's what you're doing.
I mean, put all the bullshit aside,
you penalize them for being good.
So you're not penalizing them or it's out of reach.
And you're giving them a good bonus, I think.
I mean, I think that's good money
because you're still racing the same amount
because I seen some guy on there bitching,
well, it's going to take more tires
and more fuel and blah, blah, blah.
It's the same amount of laps.
Yeah.
There's nothing that's changing.
You're still starting and you could start
in that position anyways.
Yeah.
So you're kind of,
if you're bitching,
you're bitching about something
that you still could be doing anyways
and not get any money for.
Yeah.
Because it's not like they're having you go
after the redraw because a lot of plays like Pennsylvania,
you're going after the redraw, you know,
or you're going, you know, deep in the field
where this isn't too deep or you can't win.
Yeah.
So, and you're getting...
Yeah, it's not like a $200 bonus.
No, the argument is, well, you know,
what's it going to do to the point standings?
Because if these guys start second or third
and win, now if they start eight and get second,
they're going to get less points.
But, I mean, the late mile race has been close.
The 305s and 410s the last few years
that could have even been close.
So maybe it'll tighten it up.
Maybe it won't.
Yeah.
And if you try it, you try it.
Right?
Like you can always change it, but...

I mean, I don't think it's...
I think that I like it because they're giving them a bonus.
Now, if they just like,
or just penalize you and penalize you because you're good,
then I wouldn't like so much.
But I like that it's not...

it's not out of the realm.

you could be starting that spot anyways.

but I mean, there's other guys that's been doing good
in the 410s.

it could be Ussell, it could be Mintz,
it could be Chris, you know, Chris Andrews
getting on a roll or whoever.

I think the one that'll probably still stay the same
the most is the 305s.

And I think like if you go to cap on a regular night
and say, hey, if you start sixth tonight,
we'll pay an extra $1,000.
If you win, you take that in a heartbeat.

Especially after last year, the way you ran.
Like every week he would do that if he had the chance.

to be taking $5,000 couple of times.

I mean, we see Jamie Miller.
I sure stuff Snyder won a few then, you know,
Rusty and Kyle Moore.

Like I said, I mean, you're giving the guys more money,
so it's not just, hey, you're good,
and we don't want you winning type thing.
You go back there and earn it.
I also like that it's good money.
Like you said, like how many times have we been a race?
And they're like, oh, they're offering $200
to the car who starts eight to win the race.
And it's like, whoop-de-doo, that's not even a tire.
Yeah, you're not doing anything different.
You're still running the same amount of laps, same deal.
And like I said, you're still not penalizing
outside of the redraw.
If you're in the redraw,
you're basically getting one of the worst pills.

And that means you won the week before.

Yeah, it'll be fun trial, I think.
It'll be good to see.
I mean, see how it works out.
We can always change it for next year.

usually are back in the redraw the next week.
But who knows?
It should happens.
I mean, the competition is good at Attica
and all three divisions.
So it's very possible they might not be in the redraw.
Yeah, it's kind of crazy to think that or say that out loud
because people who are watching from a distance
see this CapHenry guy wins every week and think, you know,
wow, there's not that much competition there or something.
But then there's literally sprint car drivers
you'll talk to that go,
we can't hang at Attica and Fremont
with that competition right now.
So we'll go to Butler Wayne County to get feature laps.
There's two or three times
when Cap started eighth last year.
It's like everybody gave him a free invite on top.
Nobody on the starts, nobody clogged up the top lane
and he was in third by the time there's a turn three
because nobody's run low and he just on the outside.
It's like the best way to not have him win every week
is on the starts, plug the top hot side
if you're starting eight.
Plug the top lane.
Yeah, I'm sure Cap appreciated you saying that.
Well, I mean, seriously, he'll just dive underneath him,
but still.
Yeah, there's been times coming off of two.
He's like top two or three and starting.
Yeah, nobody runs high.

and they still ain't smart enough to move up.

They've paid $4,000 or $5,000 to win in the last few years.

The track was too slick, so.
