EV Scrappage Scheme, May 2026 SIMI Numbers, Ferrari Luce, MG4 Urban, Tesla Day Mondello, Toyota bZ Touring Coast to Coast Range Test, Jeep Compass Ireland Launch and Farizon V7E Irish Price Announced
It’s a government program that gives money to help you trade in an older car for an EV. Usually, the old car has to be removed from use so the program can reduce pollution.
SIMI is an Irish organization that tracks and publishes car registration statistics. Their data is commonly used to understand how new car sales are changing.
Car
MG4 Urban
MG4 Urban is an MG electric car variant meant for everyday city use. It’s essentially a specific version of the MG4 with an “Urban” focus.
For EVs, “efficiency” means how much battery energy the car uses to go a certain distance. Better efficiency usually means more miles (or kilometers) per charge.
The Tesla Cybertruck is an electric pickup truck. It’s built to be fast and powerful using an electric motor instead of a gas engine. People talk about it a lot when discussing top-performing electric cars.
A plug socket means the car has a charging port so you can plug it in. The host is using it to show how many cars on the road can be charged from a wall outlet.
This part is about the latest car registration numbers for May 2026. It looks at how many cars are electric and which EV models and brands are selling the most.
The Tesla Model Y is an electric SUV. It’s a family-sized car that runs on electricity instead of gasoline. It’s often included in lists because many people choose it.
Maranello is the Italian town where Ferrari is based. Saying something is made in Maranello is basically Ferrari saying it comes from their home factory/engineering hub.
Term
advanced drivetrain
The drivetrain is the parts that deliver power to the wheels. When they say “advanced drivetrain,” they mean the EV power system is designed to be more sophisticated and capable.
In an EV, the “electric power source” is the system that provides energy to move the car—mainly the battery and electric motor setup. The host is saying this Ferrari is built around that electric system.
All-wheel drive means the car can send power to more than one set of wheels. That usually helps it grip the road better, especially when it’s wet or slippery.
The Nissan Leaf is an electric car that you charge at home or at public charging stations. It’s designed for everyday driving rather than being a high-performance vehicle. It often gets compared to other electric cars because it’s a well-known option.
The Fiat Multipla is a small family-style vehicle meant to carry people comfortably. It has a very distinctive, unusual look. In the podcast, it’s mentioned as a comparison to show how some cars don’t get much attention from car enthusiasts.
Term
track coefficient
They’re talking about how easily the car moves through the air. Lower numbers generally mean the car wastes less energy, which helps an electric car go farther.
Term
aerostyling convergence
It sounds like a design method to make the car’s shape help it cut through air better. Instead of adding aero features that look tacked on, they’re integrated into the overall body design.
Active air shutters are movable panels in the front of the car that open or close to manage airflow. They’re used to reduce aerodynamic drag when cooling isn’t needed, improving efficiency—important for EVs.
Term
right height logic
This is about automatically adjusting how high the car sits. Lowering it can help it move through the air more efficiently, while raising it helps avoid scraping on bumps.
NVH is a car-industry way of talking about unwanted noise, shaking, and roughness you feel while driving. Even electric cars need NVH tuning so they feel smooth and quiet.
Torque management is the car’s way of controlling how strongly the motor pulls. It helps the car respond smoothly and stay stable, especially when you accelerate or lift off.
Regeneration (in EV context) refers to regenerative braking, where the electric motor slows the car and converts some of that energy back into the battery. How it’s tuned affects deceleration feel and how smoothly the car transitions between slowing and accelerating.
Term
torque shifting
Torque shifting is the controlled change in delivered torque to mimic the feel of gear changes or to manage transitions between acceleration and deceleration. In EVs, it’s typically done through software and motor control rather than traditional shifting hardware.
Term
electromechanical vibration in the axles
This describes using vibrations from the drivetrain (axles) as a source for sound and feedback. Some EVs create an “engine-like” or performance sound by capturing and processing these vibrations so the driver gets auditory cues tied to power and torque changes.
These settings control the car’s heating or cooling while it’s plugged in. That can help you arrive comfortable without wasting as much battery energy later.
A “design language” is a brand’s consistent set of styling cues—shapes, proportions, and surface treatments—that show up across models. The segment frames Ferrari Luce’s design language as being tied to its aerodynamic form and overall driving experience.
A torsion beam suspension is a simple rear suspension setup used on many smaller cars. It’s often chosen because it takes up less space, which can help the car fit more room inside.
Term
sub well
A sub well is basically a recessed space in the car’s body. Here, it’s mentioned because the way the suspension fits there helps keep the rear area roomy.
Tesla makes electric cars like the Model 3 and Model Y, plus a higher-end Model S. The “Plaid” version is the super-fast performance version, and that’s what the host is reacting to here.
“Zero to a hundred” means how quickly a car can go from standing still to 100 (usually km/h). Faster times usually mean the car feels very quick when you press the accelerator.
Tesla Ireland is Tesla’s team responsible for selling and supporting Tesla cars in Ireland. Here they’re talking about growth in sales and improving charging and service for local owners.
Supercharger sites are places where you can charge a Tesla quickly. More of them around the country makes it easier to plan trips and spend less time charging.
The service team is the people who fix and maintain cars. Tesla is saying it wants more technicians and to do more work at your home or workplace instead of you always having to travel to a garage.
“On site” means Tesla can send service to you instead of you driving the car to a service center. The goal is to make servicing faster and easier for owners.
The Ford Ranger is a pickup truck meant for practical use like hauling and everyday driving. The podcast mentions it in connection with service, meaning how repairs or maintenance could be handled more conveniently. It’s about making it easier to get help without always going to a shop.
This is a Toyota electric car (from the bZ family). In this segment, the host is talking about how efficiently it drove on a trip and how weather helped or hurt the results.
The Jeep Compass is a popular Jeep model, and here they’re talking about a new version that can be hybrid or electric. The host also mentions it’s front-wheel drive, which affects how power is sent to the road.
A warranty is coverage that helps pay for certain repairs for a set number of years. If it’s five years, you have that protection for longer after buying.
A dedicated EV platform means the van was designed specifically for electric drivetrains. That can help fit the battery and motors more efficiently than converting an older gas-car design.
WLTP range is a standardized test number for how far an EV should go on a full charge. It’s meant to help you compare cars, but your real range can be higher or lower depending on how you drive and conditions.
DC fast charging is the quickest way to recharge many EVs using high-power chargers. The higher the number (here, 100 kW), the faster the car can charge—though actual time still depends on battery state and charger conditions.
AC charging is the more common, slower way to charge an EV, often at home. The car converts the power internally, so it usually charges slower than the fast DC chargers.
Car
Farizon V7E
The Farizon V7E is an electric delivery/utility van made for businesses. The hosts talk about its battery size, how fast it charges, and how it’s sized to be easy to maneuver in cities.
These are cameras that show the car/van from all around, usually stitched into one view. It makes parking and maneuvering in tight spots much easier because you can see what’s around you.
An infotainment display is the big screen in the dashboard that handles things like navigation and music. It also often controls EV/vehicle settings and connects to your phone.
Vehicle to load means the van can provide electricity to other devices. That can be handy for work—like powering tools or charging equipment—without needing a separate generator.
LIVE
Welcome back to the Nevo EV News podcast.
If it's Tuesday, it must be Nevo EV Newsday.
On this week's episode, we're going to be chatting about the announcement
this morning from the government regarding a EV scrappage scheme,
giving you a grant of up to eight and a half thousand euros.
We also are looking at the May 2026 registration numbers
from the Society of the Irish Motor Industry, the SIMI.
Between last podcast and this podcast, we've had the release of the Ferrari Luce.
We're also going to be talking about the MG4 Urban, a couple of videos
up on the channel already, where we compare it with the original
and also driving an efficiency Tesla Day and Mondello.
Last Friday, we got a chance to take some performance versions
and the Cybertruck and the Model S Plaid,
the fastest production car in the world out around Mondello.
Also last week, we had the Compass launch from Jeep Ireland at Slain Castle
and we have a press release on the Verizon 7VE van,
all electric van launching in Ireland.
So a jam packed podcast this week.
For those who don't know, my name is Derek Reilly.
And on this podcast, we chat about all things electric vehicles.
Nevo's Ireland is the only dedicated EV platform
and we'll be covering where we were this week, what we've been driving
and what we've been doing between the podcasts.
If you haven't already subscribed or followed us wherever you're listening to,
please do so. And if you enjoyed the episode, please leave us a rating and comment.
It really helps us out and it doesn't cost you a thing.
So let's get stuck in.
And this morning, I was on the way into work
and my Slack channel was buzzing away where the Irish Times piece
announcing the EV Scrapage Grant was live and hopping on the work channel.
So what is it? What do you need to know?
I'll put a link in the description, but it is a
EV Scrapage scheme that could put eight and a half thousand euros back in your pocket.
And when you trade in your old petrol or diesel car for a brand new electric.
So it's going to be introduced as a pilot basis from July
and it will run until a 10 million euro fund is exhausted.
So about 2000 vehicles, it operates on a first come, first serve basis.
So acting early is key.
If you're driving a petrol or diesel car that's 13 years old or older,
you could be eligible for 5000 euro Scrapage Grant
plus the existing three and a half thousand euros.
EV Purchase Grant, combining, giving you a total saving of eight and a half
thousand off the cost of a new electric vehicle.
The scheme is open for all owners of petrol or diesel vehicle age,
13 years or older, notably 65 percent of the fund or six and a half million euros
has been ring fenced for more rural areas, reflecting the greater dependency
on private cars outside of Ireland's major cities.
The remaining 35 percent, approximately 3.5 million,
will be available to residents in Dublin, Cork, Goaway, Limerick and Waterford.
Alongside the Scrapage scheme, the existing three and a half thousand euro
EV Grant has also been updated from July 31st.
The price cap of an eligible vehicle will drop from 60000 euros
down to 50000 euros with a clear focus on encouraging buyers
towards smaller, more affordable models to keep pace with this growing demand.
EV sales are up 50 percent on last year and an additional 13 million euros
has been injected into the existing grant scheme to ensure funding doesn't run out.
Ireland is well ahead of schedule on its EV targets,
having reached 195,000 electric vehicles in the road two months ahead of plan
with EV sales continuing to surge, driven by more affordable models,
entering the market and rising petrol and diesel cost momentum
is fairly behind the switch to electric between the new Scrapage scheme,
the updated EV grant and ever growing range of affordable electric vehicles.
The case for going electric in Ireland has never been stronger.
If you're ready to make the switch, you can browse every electric vehicle
available in Ireland, compare pricing, book a test drive all in one place.
You can find a right EV for you over on Nevo.ee, Ireland's home of electric motoring.
So that was the announcement this morning.
There were a couple of videos up.
I did two radio interviews today, one with KCLR down in Kilkenny
and also another one with Newstalk and I'm back on the radio tomorrow morning.
So lots of interest and lots of people wanting to find out more.
Speaking of the update and the what's happening with regards to the registration numbers.
So we have the May 2026 numbers from the SIMI, the Society for the Irish Motor Industry.
EVs up 115% versus May of 2025.
PHEVs down versus May 25, 6%.
Petrol sales up 19% surprisingly on May of last year.
Diesel sales down 3%.
Electric was the most popular fuel type registered in May ahead of pure petrol,
diesel, hybrid and plug-in hybrid.
Over 42% of cars registered in May had a plug socket on them
with nearly one in three cars being fully electric.
The models that made up the top five for May 2026 are as follows.
In first place, you have the Volkswagen ID4.
Second place goes to the Tesla Model 3.
Third place went to the Toyota BZ.
Fourth and fifth place both went to Škoda.
Somebody was giving me a bit of abuse about how I say Škoda.
Oh, I know who it was.
It was Vicki Riley in BYD Ireland, Škoda.
So Škoda makes up fourth with the LROC and fifth with the ENYAC.
So congratulations to Škoda making two of the top five
and Volkswagen Group Ireland making three of the top five.
With regards to what's happening so far this year,
we are EVs the second most popular fuel type.
So so far this year, we've had 19,000 electric vehicles sold.
And in electric only, all the total of, can you see the figure now?
So far this year, we have registered 83,000 vehicles in total.
Toyota, the best seller of Volkswagen overall,
but in electric vehicle terms, Volkswagen are the number one EV brand.
Just overtaken Hyundai this month in 2026.
A huge number of Volkswagen IDFORs and 23 percent of the market share
over 19,000 EV sold in 20, a registratory in 2026.
So my numbers, the SIMI numbers are always great to see what's happening
in the world of vehicle registrations here in Ireland.
And that plus the EV grant just shows you the kind of momentum
that's really kicking in behind electric vehicles.
And somebody was asking me about is it everybody going to be buying
really old cars on certain car platforms?
And that's not going to be the case.
The stipulation is it has to be registered in your name for the last year.
So before everybody runs out buying cheap petrol and diesel cars,
13 years old and older, the car has to be in your name in the last year.
So that is the SIMI May 2026 stats.
The Ferrari Luce, Luce stands for light, was announced and revealed last week.
And it is it is controversial.
That's for sure on the website.
Uncompromising performance, engagement and spaciousness.
Made in Maranello, engineered, developed and manufactured in Maranello,
the home of Ferrari expertise and excellence.
The electric power source for our engineered engines, advanced drivetrain,
affords a radically new architecture and uniquely combines extraordinary
for very performance with the luxury of spaciousness.
Designed with Sir Johnny Ives and Mark Newsom, the creative collective from love
from a singular design language, unites the exterior, interior and the interface
with clarity and refined simplicity throughout.
I saw this instead of the Ferrari logos that we saw it with some Apple logos on it.
And yeah, could have been the Apple iCare Project Titan.
Interior forms are simplified, rationalised and serviced of the driving experience.
So it's an all wheel drive vehicle, four doors, five seat configuration,
create the most spacious and versatile Ferrari ever without compromising performance.
Interior is a celebration of hundreds of discrete products.
It is meticulously considered and treated with individual care.
Together, they create a single, clean volume with forms simplified and
rationalised in service of the driving experience.
Since seeing it last week, it is growing on me.
It is getting a lot of comparison with the Nissan Leaf, with the Ford Multipla.
It is not getting a lot of love from motorheads.
But you know what, fair play to Ferrari.
They said, you know, we're going to do an electric Ferrari, make it totally different.
And they have done that prices of around between five and 600000 euros.
The interior designed to be engineered to be functional, intuitive and thrilling to drive.
So lots of clicky buttons.
We saw the interior couple of months ago with the announcement from San Francisco
in that partnership with Love From.
It is deeply engaging tactile controls employ the best characteristics of physical
and digital, combining beautiful mechanical buttons, switches, dials and multi function
digital displays.
So the aerodynamics as well.
It's got a lowest track coefficient of an in Ferrari history achieved through
aerostyling convergence, active air shutters, the right height logic that lowers
the front by 10 millimetres, even when you're just cruising.
The preoccupation with aerodynamics shaped the fundamental architecture of the entire
care. It is very aero, very slippery.
Surfaces have been refined to a smooth, continuous and to be smooth, continuous
and uninterrupted, the rear tail light is part of a black lens.
And it gently recedes when it's switched off.
It is all about the purity of form.
The vehicle dynamics is the most supposedly comfortable for our yet.
It has dedicated noise, vibration and harshness solutions deliver electric
care refinement while preserving Ferrari road handling, advanced dynamic management,
new regeneration, torque management systems, total engagement and repeatability
in every driving situation.
The sound is also all about engagement.
So you do have the sound activates to inform torque shifting in manual and
performance modes, manual hand manual torque shifting enables driver to build
progression via paddles, sustaining involvement and control across acceleration
and deceleration.
The sound waves are captured from an
electromechanical vibration in the axles that are that was equalized,
amplified and delivered alongside visual feedback to inform the driver.
You get an app as you can imagine and you can control climate charging settings.
And it also displays the status of the car.
It is a new design language for Ferrari.
There have been thousands of deeply considered details to unite and create a
single driving experience.
Yeah, listen, it is.
It is going to be something that is a talking point.
And if you wanted a car to create a stir, it is definitely been that one.
It has bespoke technical platform with innovation in every component.
So, yeah, looking forward to at some stage driving the Ferrari lucha
fingers crossed, we'll get it up on the channel and.
But one car we did get up on the channel that we'd be selling a lot more volume
in Ireland is the MG for Urban.
And so a couple of videos up on the MG for Urban.
Originally, I got a chance to look at this over at the UK launch.
And we have a video now up in the channel where we're comparing it.
Second video on the MG for Urban to the MG for OG, the one that we actually have
a long term loan here in our house from MG Ireland.
And so there is the MG versus the MG for Urban.
You can have a look to see it's gone from rear wheel drive to front wheel drive.
And rear leg room, phenomenal rear headroom, phenomenal.
And then some cars, when they're doing rear space, they prioritise
out of the boot over the leg room of the rear or vice versa.
They give you a lot of rear leg room and the boot is suffering because of that.
It's not the case with the MG for Urban.
You do have a torsion beam suspension, so large sub well, big bush, great space in
the rear and that just extra bit of height versus the original MG for now.
Don't get me wrong, I still like the styling of the MG for original OG.
And we don't know whether we're going to get that in Ireland.
You do get it in the United Kingdom and other markets like Australia.
Outside of China, there is the decision being made in China.
The MG for Urban is the MG for there is no more MG for OG.
And so we got a chance to look at that.
But then I also did a video on the driving and the efficiency and
did 400 and sixty kilometres and we got fifteen point two kilowatt hour
per 100 kilometres, so nearly four miles per kilowatt hour.
So very efficient and that was a motorway settings as well.
So those two videos, I will link them in the description.
Make sure you pop over and have a look.
Last Friday, we were at Mondello just before the bank holiday weekend ourselves
and a couple of finance associates from
Tesla as well as some leasing companies.
And we got a chance to potter around the Mondello track, the National Circuit
in the performance Tesla Model 3, Y, the Model S
Plat, phenomenal.
I've never been in a car with so much power and it is the most powerful production car.
So I don't think that's going to be topped anytime soon.
Over a thousand horsepower zero to a hundred and under two seconds.
It was gut wrenchingly fast.
It was really not to be a passenger.
It was mental, enjoyable, mental.
They're not making it anymore.
So it was nice to get an experience of it.
And they also had the Cybertruck there, which we've seen at the last two
Neville driving experiences and partnership.
Back around we had it at Killear and we also had it down in Waterford.
But the Tesla day started off with a presentation from Kieran Campbell from
Tesla Ireland, and they're excited about they've just crossed 13 and a half Tesla
drivers and we're just going to be hitting 15,000 sales numbers.
End of Q2 coming into Q3, if I'm not mistaken.
We'll also get new supercharger sites in a lot of places around the country.
And they're focusing outside of the norm.
Donegal, Sligo, and I'm seeing other sites in planning and other sites in.
I won't mention them because there's lots of charging companies listening to this podcast.
Service stats, the Ryan from the Tesla service team was there.
He looks after UK and Ireland and very proud of bringing down the number of days
wait to get your car serviced with Tesla looking at trying to prioritize
Ranger and being able to do on site at your home, at your business and what they
can do on site rather than bringing people to Dublin or Cork.
They're looking to go that service team from currently an 11 technicians to over 20.
They're got to see the new location in North County, Dublin, which was good as well.
See other plans for that for showroom, service workshop and pre-owned
handover bays as well.
So we don't focus on that as that fleet is getting started to be turned around
and they're going to also update Sandyford, the layout of the actual building as well.
As well and moving showrooms to one end and bigger space for technicians and that.
So yeah, really good.
Also going to grow the Ranger team as well.
So as I mentioned, it's not always going to be about bringing your car to a physical
location, they can come to you.
So that Tesla Center in North Dublin is going to be operating in Q3 of this year.
And the new sites should be multi county by the end of Q3 as well.
So lots of news from Tesla and it was great to get the experience on the track.
It was a bit slow at the start, but we got the warmed up and there was a bit of a
speed limit imposed that everybody should be safe.
But we got a couple of hotter laps then.
So yeah, thanks to Kieran and the team and Cameron for the invite there on the day in Tesla.
The day before we were down all Wednesday, we were down at Slain.
We picked up our car in Goffson, Kildare, Jeep Compass, myself and Justin Delaney
and headed off to Slain Castle.
We were first to leave, first to arrive.
So we're right at the gate.
It's the old entrance gate rarely opened only for a couple of people.
The last time it was open was for
Lord Moon Charles's actual funeral.
And it is the original way people used to go in towards the castle.
So through the forest and then you look out to your left and you've got the beautiful
natural amphitheater where all the concerts happened and Slain Castle itself.
So phenomenal day.
Got tour of the castle, big fire in 1991.
We got to learn about the family, the history, the legacy that's there,
all the large paintings and interactions with the Royal Family and what happened
in the Battle of the Boine.
We got a little bonus small tour of the Slain Distillery,
which is operated by Brown Foreman, the Jack Daniels owners from the United States.
And so we that was really interesting as well.
No money expense spared there.
Not in production at the moment, just with the uncertainty in the whiskey market.
But you can still do tours.
They do have a distillery's cask, strength, limited edition Slain Castle whiskey there.
If you're interested in something like that.
That night, then we got dinner in the castle and yeah, beautiful.
We got to meet Alex, the next generation coming through.
The dogs of Slain Castle as well.
He's got three beautiful dogs, a black German shepherd, a sausage dog and a little
gentleman in between so they come down and we got some music in the bar.
And thanks to the team at Jeep Ireland and now Kieran from Jeep Ireland can say
that he played Slain Castle, so that box is ticked.
Beautiful event and thank you so much for that.
And Jeep Composites, they actually vehicle I'm driving this week.
So stay tuned for a more in-depth version.
I did get to drive this at the International Press Launch in Barcelona.
So there is a video up on the channel.
That's the one I link in the description, but there will be an Irish drive of that
coming up last week.
I am headed to Mayo after the Tesla day in Mandela that evening.
And we were in the BZ touring and we also got a range test in that.
And at the end of the weekend, driving down, driving up and that came up
with a video on the description at a percentage consumption of 15.7
kilowatt hours per 100 kilometers.
So getting lots and actually when I handed that back to Toyota with the bit
of urban driving towards the end that dropped down to 15.6.
So phenomenal efficiency.
Now it is warm, don't get me wrong.
But when I left Mayo on Sunday morning, it was 9 o'clock and it was 14 degrees.
But it was raining.
So the wind was pushing us along.
So it was a west-south-westerly wind.
So that definitely helped.
So BZ touring or as you call it in the United States, the BZ Woodland.
That video is also up on the channel.
So stick around for that.
Last but by no means least, we have the press release from Verizon and the launch
of the 7ve and the 7ve is the most affordable Verizon in the market that we are.
Sorry, go back to Jeep Compass just to give you a price on that.
The price is starting at four hybrid and electric.
Obviously, electric is what we're interested in starting off at 42
9 and five and it's going to have finance of three point nine percent
five year warranty free home charger for eligible electric models and then the
freedom to choose electric, which is 90 days EV satisfaction.
Peace of mind.
If you don't like the electric, they'll put you into a hybrid version.
So that was the Jeep Compass.
It's going to come.
This is a front wheel drive.
It's also going to come in a four by four.
Stay tuned to the podcast and also the YouTube channel for a bit more on that
coming up soon. So two different
summit and altitude are the two trims in the electric version that's currently
going to be with the Jeep Compass.
And it has this very striking Hawaii.
I can never say it green color as the press launch.
So stay tuned for that.
And as mentioned, Verizon V7E arrives in Ireland and a price of 30000
700 euros.
And so the all new Verizon V7E expanding the growing electric commercial vehicle
range in Ireland with the next generation of medium van designed for modern urban
logistics priced from 30700 including that and applicable
grants of fifty kilowatt model and from around 33700
for the 67 kilowatt hour version.
The V7E offers strong value for Irish business customers with pricing that
places it in line or below comparable diesel competitors.
That V7E brings together smart technology, practical versatility and efficient
electronic performance and a purpose built commercial vehicle developed for
the evolving need of Irish businesses.
Joining the larger Verizon SV or Supervan, as it's known in some markets,
the V7E broadens customer choice in the Verizon lineup, offering compact,
yet highly capable solutions for urban deliveries, fleet operators,
businesses seeking smarter, lower emissions, transport solutions.
Built on a dedicated EV platform architecture, the seven V7E has been
engineered from the ground up for efficiency, connectivity and usability.
As mentioned, fifty kilowatt hour and a 67 kilowatt hour,
giving you up to 300 and 29 WLTP range, six point 95
cubic meters cargo volume and a compact footprint designed for maneuverability
and busy urban environments.
DC fast charging 100 kilowatts, AC charging of eleven kilowatts,
advanced driver assistant technology and connected driver focused cabin.
The V7E reflects Verizon's technology led approach to next generation
commercial mobility and is available throughout authorized Verizon dealerships in Ireland.
The wheelbase is three point two meters and it has a near five meter overall length

city environments.
Internally, you're getting a twelve point three inch infotainment display and
smartphone connectivity, 360 degrees around view cameras,
front rear parking sensors, vehicle to load capability, heated windscreen
and advanced driver assistant, as we mentioned it.
Andrew Johnson, general manager of Verizon Ireland, Ireland said the arrival
of the V7E marks another important step in expanding Verizon's presence in Ireland,
following the introduction to the Verizon SV that V7E broadens are offering
with a highly practical all electric medium van designed around the real world
needs of modern commercial operators, combining diesel rivaling value,
advanced technology and a dedicated electric platform.
The V7E brings its Irish business and intelligent and capable new solution
for next generation commercial mobility.
Unlike many electric vans adapted from combustion platforms,
the V7E has been engineered from inception as an electric commercial vehicle,
helping optimize packaging, efficiency and usability.
The arrival comes as demand continues to grow for electric vans capable of
supporting increasing complex delivery requirements while helping operators
sustainably reduce running costs and emissions.

Welcome back to the Nevo EV News Podcast. If it's Tuesday it must be Nevo EV News Day. My name is Derek Reilly and on this podcast we chat all about EV. Nevo is Ireland's only dedicated EV platform and we'll be covering where we were this week, what we've been driving and what we've been doing between podcasts. If you haven't already subscribed or followed us wherever you are listening please do so and if you enjoyed the episode, please leave a rating and comment, it really helps us out and it doesn't cost you anything. Let's get stuck in.
