They are The Garage Heroes in Training Team.
02:16
Welcome to The Garage Heroes in Training Podcast.
02:18
I'm going to be the host for the next episode.
02:20
What's the subject?
02:26
We went to some point.
02:31
It was a lot of fun.
02:34
It was, it was, it was a lot of fun.
02:37
It was pretty good.
02:43
Um, you guys got to do what?
02:46
So for our listeners who have not been to this summit point, which was us until we went
02:56
Um, it was quite flat.
02:59
Um, I can't say, I mean, there were some sloping, but you know, not much.
03:05
It was a good track.
03:07
It was a decent track.
03:08
It was a fun track.
03:09
It was a good track.
03:11
I mean, it was a good track.
03:13
It was a good track.
03:14
It was a decent track.
03:15
It was a fun track.
03:17
I really enjoyed the track.
03:20
I thought it was fun to drive.
03:25
It was, it was a little scary because of the animals, but it was a fun track.
03:31
Donnie took care of the animals for us.
03:33
We didn't have to worry about anything.
03:36
But there were animals.
03:41
I heard of a, uh, reports of a gopher running in front of, uh, Black Betty.
03:46
I saw a fox that was, seemed to be trapped between the wall and the track.
03:52
We had a listener right in.
03:54
They wanted to know, what did the fox say?
04:02
I don't get the noise.
04:04
I can't tell post-race hangovers real for these two.
04:09
I'm going to pull in teeth here.
04:13
So, uh, we drove in the Honda.
04:15
Honda was rebuilt for this race.
04:17
Long, long awaited.
04:19
And, uh, had some issues.
04:26
Well, the car went in with, um, with throttle body issues and thought we
04:33
solved the throttle body.
04:35
Um, we also had a cracked, um,
04:39
air intake manifold, which I ended up replacing.
04:43
Um, and we thought that we had the throttle body, uh, straightened out.
04:50
Uh, but even the one that we took off the donor car didn't work properly.
04:56
So we're kind of curious if it's a wiring issue, a harness issue.
05:02
We're not exactly sure where it was a throttle position sensor.
05:05
We're going to try to trade out the throttle position sensor, um,
05:10
just in case, uh, before we go ahead and do a whole new throttle body.
05:15
Um, so, but, uh, there was,
05:21
I, some stuff was missing a couple of bolts were missing, you know,
05:30
got that straightened out.
05:32
Um, but I mean, in, in, in reality, this was the first run slash test run
05:44
So I'm not saying that the car was there to race.
05:50
It was more of a, okay, let's get it on track and figure out what's
05:54
going on to kind of straighten it out.
05:59
So let's go with the, the bad.
06:04
Uh, what, uh, what issues did we have?
06:13
Well, the big one besides the throttle body was the rear mount bolt was
06:20
missing engine mount bolt.
06:23
It just wasn't there, which made no sense because it was there.
06:30
So I have no idea where it could have gone.
06:33
I don't know if something happened between when maybe the, um,
06:41
the body shop was straightening it out.
06:44
If they did a couple of things to it, I don't know.
06:48
It was kind of weird, but I was also, when I got it back,
06:52
I was also missing a bolt.
06:54
These were big bolts.
06:55
These were major bolts that were missing.
06:58
And, um, another one, the other bolt that was missing was the
07:02
control arm bolt that went into the frame, the upper control arm
07:07
went into the frame.
07:08
That is like a six inch bolt where that could have gone.
07:14
Didn't know what happened to it, but I got that off of the
07:19
And I thought everything was all straightened out.
07:20
I even have Jeremy go over the car and straighten everything out.
07:23
And it wasn't until we're kind of shifting and like, we're just
07:27
getting a lot of play in the, in the, the, you know, in the gear,
07:33
not the gearbox, but like the shifting area.
07:36
And that's what Chris was saying.
07:37
He goes, well, it sounds like it's the rear engine mount bolt.
07:41
So we went in there.
07:42
It's like, it's not even there.
07:44
Like where could it have gone?
07:46
So, um, it was there.
07:53
And then I think other than that was maybe, and these were bolts
07:57
that you don't normally check.
07:59
But the other one, there are no bolts that you don't normally
08:05
Well, the thing is, is with that particular one is that if you
08:09
want to properly check it, you really have to remove stuff
08:16
It's not an easy bolt to go in there and just check the brake
08:21
Oh, I don't know about the brake.
08:23
Yeah, the brake caliper.
08:24
I don't know what happened to that one either.
08:26
So the brake caliper bolt came loose because I know that I
08:30
I know I put that in right.
08:31
So maybe I just didn't torque it properly, but that one
08:33
kind of shifted, but we fixed that one correctly.
08:35
So we got that one done.
08:36
I got, I got one more for you.
08:38
And the other bolt that was, oh, the other one that was
08:42
loose was up in the, it was, it was the steering wheel.
08:52
That was, that was just weird.
08:57
That wasn't a bolt.
08:58
No, that just wasn't put on properly.
09:00
But no, the other one was, what was it?
09:08
The shock up underneath where the frame is underneath was
09:16
It kind of, so we had to go in there.
09:18
We had tightened that.
09:19
So, so I guess that the car was kind of being adjusted, you
09:25
know, along the way, but we got all that kind of squared
09:29
And some of that stuff you really wouldn't have known
09:31
until you actually put it on track, you know.
09:38
We got to fix that.
09:41
We do, we do, but, you know, for the amount of time that
09:44
we had, I mean, I literally opened the shop in August and
09:49
I was still trying to do a bunch of repairs to it.
09:53
But, you know, I was running out of time and just
09:56
sent it out to a shop towards the end, you know, and
09:59
they helped me get some stuff done.
10:01
So Jen, how was it to drive a race car without a
10:08
It was, it was pretty surreal actually.
10:11
It's going around that corner and it's like, why isn't it
10:16
I'm going straight and I'm turning it and I realize it's
10:22
So the steering wheel had, okay, so the steering wheel
10:27
is going to be changed out.
10:29
That what I, that I really don't like and I've
10:33
never liked that attachment that goes, the quick
10:37
Never liked that one.
10:38
It was attached to the roof.
10:40
I drove how many laps around there before.
10:43
And you weren't the only one, you know, it went
10:46
through like the whole freaking test day, right?
10:50
I think that was on test day.
10:52
Was it on test day?
10:55
Oh, so, but, you know, the one thing is, is that
10:58
the quick attach to the steering wheel is a spin.
11:03
You kind of put on there and you have to go
11:05
behind the steering wheel and you have to spin it
11:07
and then it kind of locks in.
11:09
But the one that I have on the Miata, you squeeze it
11:12
and it pops off and then you kind of put it on
11:14
and you turn it and it locks in.
11:17
I don't, I really don't like the attachment,
11:21
the quick, the quick release.
11:23
Because it's not quick release.
11:25
And even the people that came to put the steering
11:27
wheel back on, they couldn't get it back on.
11:29
It's not an easy piece.
11:31
Quick is, there's nothing quick about it.
11:35
It's nothing quick.
11:36
So that's going to be one process I think we're going to do
11:38
is just get rid of that particular attachment.
11:44
I mean, it went on eventually.
11:46
It's not, it's not easy though, is it?
11:49
It's like a puzzle.
11:50
Yeah, and I don't even know how I did it.
11:52
I was just kept fooling with it.
11:55
And then eventually, you know, it slipped in.
11:57
But yeah, there were four of us that were trying
11:59
to get it in there.
12:01
Nobody can figure it out.
12:03
So if anybody has a quick release that they like
12:05
for their Honda Civic or other small car garages
12:08
and training at gmail.com, we need to find one
12:11
because this is not good.
12:14
I mean, we got very lucky it came off where it did.
12:19
So, but I would have to say all in all
12:22
that the car does need adjustments.
12:25
It does need a few more things,
12:28
but it ran all weekend.
12:30
It just ran super rich.
12:33
And it didn't have any didn't have a lot of power
12:35
because I think at one point we even traded
12:38
out the ECU because we're trying to get the car
12:42
to throw codes as an OBD-1.
12:44
So I kept trying to get the car to throw a code
12:46
and it wouldn't throw codes.
12:49
So we end up trading out the ECU.
12:54
And, you know, it finally did start throwing
12:57
a code, which was, you know, it ended up
12:59
being in the throttle body.
13:03
Throttle position sensor.
13:06
So, you know, that's we needed that to happen
13:09
so we can figure out what's going on with the car.
13:11
But that was kind of like really strange
13:13
that was kind of happening.
13:15
So it wouldn't be until we actually drove
13:21
the car to figure out, you know, these things
13:25
because, you know, when you have these type of cars,
13:29
the only way you can really test them is at an HPDE
13:33
or a track day, you know, or test day.
13:38
There's no other place to really kind of work them out.
13:41
So, you know, but the car ran all weekend.
13:46
So that was, that was okay.
13:47
It didn't went well.
13:51
And we have a nice little checklist for next year.
13:53
And that's what we went for with that car, really.
13:59
You can't place the whole front end and expect for it
14:01
to just go in there and just be a winner.
14:08
The reason we went there.
14:18
Halloween and gasoline at Halloween.
14:24
Ladies, in case people weren't paying attention to the social
14:30
What was our theme?
14:32
And who did we do it with?
14:34
Surely you must have figured it out by now.
14:38
I'm not sure they figured it out and don't call me shortly.
14:47
This is an audio podcast.
14:50
Well, I thought Jennifer was talking.
14:54
She just kind of went in.
14:57
So we did the airplane theme.
15:04
you were a couple of different people, I think.
15:07
Who were your primary?
15:09
I was mostly a nun.
15:14
We were trying to get you to talk Jive.
15:18
That's been pulled that off.
15:20
Could not pull that off.
15:21
That was the only thing we didn't get done.
15:23
Actually, there's a couple of things we didn't get done.
15:25
I went to go find us a guitar from a pawn shop on Sunday
15:29
and it was closed and I couldn't find another one.
15:33
However, I did go down there and sing Kumbaya.
15:39
Miss Vicki, you were?
15:41
We were airplane the movie.
15:46
I was an airline stewardess.
15:49
I was supposed to be Elaine Dickinson,
15:51
but I didn't really play Elaine Dickinson
15:53
as much as I just did airline stewardess.
16:02
We were joined by three pedal mafia,
16:06
And we were greatly outnumbered because they had more people.
16:13
So Chris Abbott was Leslie Nielsen
16:17
and he was a doctor.
16:24
Well, we're going to have another podcast on this one
16:26
because it's worth it.
16:28
Jeff was the non sequitur dude from all across the podcast,
16:34
I mean all across the race.
16:36
Chrissy was another airline stewardess.
16:38
She was the one who went across the plane
16:43
asking if anybody here was a race car driver.
16:49
Let's see who else did we have.
16:50
Dave was the guy who waves planes in and doesn't do it quite well.
17:01
And knowing Bruce, he's Harry.
17:05
Let's see who else.
17:08
I can't remember what Greg did.
17:16
Yeah, Greg was also supposed to be a Harry Krishna.
17:20
I don't know if you part took though.
17:22
And then Tim Burr would, what can it do?
17:30
And let me tell you, he pulled off his drinking problem
17:34
to such a level that even though the weather was very nice
17:38
for the weekend, it was a little chilly though.
17:41
When I was groping him, his nipples were diamonds.
17:45
They were ridiculous.
17:46
And I nearly cut myself through my Mickey Mouse hands
17:50
for my Sonic the Hedgehog hands.
17:51
And what were you, Bill?
17:55
So I literally, as part of our theme,
17:58
I had to grop people the entire weekend.
18:03
There was a couple instances where I was...
18:05
There was requested groping of people where I was
18:09
slightly uncomfortable, especially since both of them...
18:14
Well, on one instance, they were both like 16-year-old girls
18:18
and I was being told to go do it by their father,
18:20
one of their fathers.
18:21
And I was like, um, no, no, no, no, no.
18:25
And then he said, no.
18:26
And I'm like, okay, then you're coming too.
18:28
And then I kept everything above the equator,
18:30
well above the equator, above the shoulders, actually.
18:32
So I figured, why risk anything?
18:37
I think we converted the entire paddock
18:40
into our little personal airport
18:42
and we did quite well.
18:45
Ladies' highlights for the weekend,
18:46
for the theming aspect.
18:50
I thought all the skits were...
18:52
Yeah, we had a lot of skits.
18:56
The Girl Scouts were really funny.
18:58
Vicki and Chrissy at the morning meeting was really funny.
19:03
Ethel Merman was hilarious.
19:06
So Vicki and Chrissy were acting as flight attendants
19:10
in the tech briefing for the driver's meeting
19:13
and then Eric pretended to be a Girl Scout
19:16
because obviously Eric's a Girl Scout
19:18
and Chrissy was a Girl Scout
19:19
and they did the reenacted the Girl Scout fight scene
19:23
and both of those were posted videos
19:29
Anything else sticking out from the weekend?
19:31
No, I went about a cart with,
19:34
don't call me Shirley Temple's,
19:36
hanging and handing out peanuts and pretzels.
19:39
Yes, I did that too.
19:40
Yes, we went to the potluck
19:42
and then post-potluck festivities.
19:45
Did you get roped into the karaoke set?
19:48
That was in one of the places
19:50
or did you manage to avoid that?
19:51
No, no, I avoided that.
19:57
I was handing out peanuts.
20:03
And don't call me Shirley Temple's.
20:05
And don't call me Shirley Temple's or dirty Shirley's.
20:08
Yes, they were quite...
20:10
So Jennifer, did you learn anything about asking me
20:12
to get stuff for Shirley Temple's?
20:14
I mean, does anything come to mind?
20:17
Jennifer, you did the Cardinal's sin.
20:20
You said, Bill, go get me something
20:23
but you did not give me a unit of measure.
20:26
You did not give me a quantity.
20:27
Go get some vodka, not three gallons of it.
20:30
Listen, I wasn't going to be short.
20:33
There's lots of people.
20:34
I had no idea what the plan specifically was.
20:37
So I did not want to come back without what you needed.
20:40
So vodka and grenadine.
20:42
We're having a special discount sale
20:44
at the Grouchers and Training House.
20:46
No, first race, we're taking it
20:49
and drink their own as long as they contain vodka.
20:59
Three gallons of vodka.
21:01
I think we only used half a gallon.
21:03
Well, I kept using more, but that was a different story.
21:07
You know, if we need to clean the windows,
21:09
we'll just use vodka next time, because you know what?
21:15
So ladies, how'd the race go?
21:22
What do we come in?
21:25
I think we're in the forties.
21:27
I'll look it up while your while your van.
21:30
Our car had no power.
21:37
It was just the computer was confused, you know,
21:41
and just the setup with the throttle body positioner.
21:46
But I gotta tell you, for the most part,
21:48
I got on that front straight.
21:50
And that's what Chris was saying.
21:54
When, you know, when he says you don't need fifth gear,
21:58
I mean, you can rev that thing out to like, you know, 6,000.
22:05
It was like 6,000, 6,800.
22:06
You know, you don't really need it, but I gotta tell you,
22:08
my foot was to the freaking floor.
22:10
I believe that is what is called in the technical space
22:18
And I still was being passed.
22:22
So there, there is definitely some work, you know,
22:25
for that to be done.
22:26
But I think the throttle pipe positioner,
22:28
it really was running super rich.
22:30
And we left, we left carbon deposits on the parking lot.
22:35
And Chris, you know, come over and you know, was just saying,
22:37
yeah, it was going to run, but it's, you know,
22:39
you're not going to have much power until you get this
22:43
So it was nice to run that track for the first time and
22:48
I will say we used more gas than we've ever used in that
22:52
So I did, I did spin out on track and it was in first.
23:03
Why are you in first?
23:05
No, the first turn, first turn, turn one,
23:09
turn one and I had to come in.
23:11
And instead of being lectured, I stopped by the
23:16
paddock and in the one scene, in the one scene about a
23:21
panicked woman in the movie airplane, you know,
23:24
normally back then it was like, oh, you know,
23:27
snap out of it, snap out of it.
23:29
And then the woman would slap was, you know,
23:31
woman slapped her and, you know, to kind of come out
23:35
And then another one came up and shook and then
23:37
slapped her and then another one.
23:39
And if as they go down the line, they're all
23:41
carrying more heavy duty stuff to hit this woman
23:44
I was that woman and my team lined up with wrenches
23:49
and a rock and they were like, snap out of it woman.
23:54
When I was, when I was in the pit and Randy
23:58
Bish, who was, who was judging, he goes, I got
24:05
I think, I think we may have broken Bish.
24:08
I think we did break.
24:09
Well, you know what it was, was that's one of
24:11
Bish's favorite movies.
24:13
We didn't know that going in, but.
24:15
No, we did not, but he's like every frickin.
24:17
They're doing every frickin skit.
24:19
He didn't say, except they didn't say frickin.
24:25
When they broke out singing Ethel Merman,
24:28
he just, he just put his hands in his face
24:31
and just looked up at the ceiling and
24:39
It was a little more animated than that,
24:41
but that's about all the energy you have.
24:43
It was pretty funny.
24:45
So all together, the, the team with our
24:47
three Puddle Mafia friends, we won the
24:49
Halloween in Miss Ghastly.
24:53
That's two this year.
24:54
That's two this year.
24:55
That's pretty, that's pretty cool.
24:59
We had, we had two different themes this
25:02
year just to be clear.
25:06
We went hard on this one because it was
25:08
one of those themes that you needed to
25:13
So speaking of things that we do right,
25:15
you know how as a team, we like to get
25:17
new people out on the racetrack and we
25:19
like to help people get better in racing
25:22
So, so let's look at the teams that
25:24
we've helped recently get better.
25:26
Some new teams, new two racing teams.
25:32
The Queershifting Gears car came in
25:39
What do you mean how?
25:40
They came in 43rd and we came in 41st.
25:45
Their, their car ran smooth
25:48
and they were quick.
25:50
But I think they could even hot pit.
25:52
They were go, they were, no.
25:54
That was probably it.
25:55
They were changing drivers in the
25:57
in the paddock too.
25:59
Like, and that's that you would think
26:01
that that would have slowed them down
26:03
a lot more, but they did.
26:07
They really did so well this weekend.
26:11
So, so let's go with this again.
26:15
Never a good night.
26:16
Remember we had those guys on?
26:26
Well, yeah, but they blew an engine.
26:31
So my thought is, I think we need
26:33
to change our design instead of
26:35
trying to get people to start
26:37
racing and get as good as us.
26:39
They should aim higher
26:41
because we're all on the same
26:43
scoreboard page like
26:45
dum, dum, dum, dum, dum.
26:47
We need to teach people better
26:49
because they should have beat us this weekend
26:51
because we were out of
26:55
Let me make sure it's 102 cars.
27:00
Care to guess how fast we were?
27:04
You know, usually in for top middle, right?
27:17
So three of those cars that we beat
27:19
in quotes, never did a lap.
27:22
One of them did one lap
27:25
and it took them 21 hours.
27:28
So of the cars that did more than one lap,
27:31
there was 97 of those
27:36
we were 93rd fastest
27:38
and they wanted to put us in B.
27:40
Bish, I know you're listening.
27:43
You want to put us in B
27:45
or the 93rd fastest car.
27:47
Bish, I know you're listening.
27:54
I don't seem to get B zero, buddy.
27:58
We won our three laps.
28:04
Let's get this straight there.
28:06
Judge Meister, general.
28:10
anybody know how Alan did with the
28:16
We were so theme and so hard
28:18
we didn't get to talk to many people.
28:20
So if you were looking for us in the paddock.
28:22
I think the person that
28:24
almost hit when the wheel came off
28:26
was one of his guys.
28:28
That's what he said.
28:36
It was all very important.
28:40
So how many black flags did we get
28:44
Two, I believe, right?
28:46
So I went off, but I don't know if I ever got a black flag
28:48
because I just came under myself.
28:50
You sound like Max.
28:52
You go off, you get a black flag.
28:54
That's a black flag, whether they give it to you or not.
28:56
Well, I came in and you're like,
28:58
well, they didn't even call you in.
29:00
No, I never said that.
29:04
I think Eric wasn't me.
29:06
Miss Vicki, you got one. Did you get another one
29:08
that you didn't tell us about?
29:10
No, I just had that
29:16
Lost the bag. I went in a little hot on one.
29:18
How can you go in hot?
29:20
You're the 93rd fastest car.
29:22
Well, that's where I went off the same place.
29:24
Oh, my goodness, people.
29:30
Pit stops went pretty well.
29:32
We did draft one of the queer shifting gears.
29:34
People to go out there and, you know,
29:36
they actually experienced what doing a pit stop
29:38
in Pit Lane was like.
29:40
I don't know why they don't do that.
29:42
They were so helpful this weekend.
29:46
You know what also is that they had one new driver.
29:50
for them, they were
29:52
more pulling than they were racing.
29:56
So they did a lot of sim racing
30:00
which is why they knew the track so well.
30:04
I believe that they had the one new
30:08
they were bringing them in.
30:10
I think they were running like every
30:12
half hour to 45 minutes just
30:14
to work themselves up.
30:16
So they weren't they weren't so much
30:18
there to compete as much as they were
30:20
taking care of the car.
30:22
And they had some car stuff that they were working on too.
30:24
Just some minor stuff.
30:26
But I got to say, I was so proud of them
30:28
because their last time that we had run
30:36
one of their guys just
30:42
smashed into and just
30:44
stuffed it right into
30:46
somebody on like turn five
30:48
or turn two. I forget
30:50
I think it was turned two.
30:52
Oh, but it was terrible.
30:58
But they did so well this time around.
31:00
I was so proud of them.
31:02
They're going to come on and we're going to talk about
31:06
racing and how lessons learned
31:08
things like that. So that'll be fun.
31:12
Apologize to all the teams. We did see some
31:14
of you. We did not see all of you.
31:16
We did make a better
31:18
showing, but we were
31:20
theming so hard and fighting the car a little bit
31:22
so we did not get there. And I know that
31:24
the ladies are still feeling the effects
31:26
and it's what is it? Tuesday?
31:28
Something like that. Tuesday, Wednesday?
31:32
It's Wednesday. It feels like
31:34
Friday, Monday, whatever.
31:36
It's bad. So this podcast
31:38
is coming out just a little bit late. Okay.
31:42
a couple more questions before we
31:44
finish up this race.
31:46
This is the last one of our season for us.
31:48
Season number eight.
31:50
What can we do better?
31:54
the car and nothing bolt
31:56
and fix the throttle
31:58
position sensor would be easy.
32:04
What else? Anything
32:06
car wise, driver wise?
32:08
I would just have to say that probably
32:10
this year I think we're all kind of
32:12
dealing with some stuff.
32:16
that we're all kind of going through the motions
32:18
at the moment. I think next year is going to be
32:20
different. I think next year we're going to be
32:22
all a bit sorted out.
32:24
Just coming together was a little
32:28
But the car will be
32:34
No dog this time. We took a dog with
32:36
us this time. My big
32:38
Bernice mountain dog
32:40
figured, you know, take her out. She can
32:42
hang out with mom and stuff like that.
32:44
My dog is not a track dog.
32:46
She was not having it.
32:56
she was having a lot of sensory overload
33:00
I did like the one guy saying
33:02
that dog is going to get away and run.
33:04
I'm like that dog doesn't run.
33:06
She barely walks fast.
33:10
But we probably won't do that again
33:14
She's still pooped out.
33:16
Yeah. She's been sleeping for like three
33:20
She's been sleeping for three
33:22
days and getting the loves
33:26
Apparently she didn't get anything to
33:28
eat either. She's just begging for everything.
33:30
I couldn't figure out why she wasn't eating her food.
33:32
And I realized everybody was feeding her and then
33:34
really upset her stomach because, you know, she's got
33:38
which I failed to mention to everybody.
33:42
I found that out on the way home.
33:58
There's a reason we didn't get home till after midnight.
34:02
So what else can we do better?
34:04
What else can we do better?
34:08
The car will be fine because the stuff that has
34:10
to be done is pretty minor.
34:14
It's just going to be straightened
34:16
out. Better drivers
34:20
Better driver, better car. Yeah, usual.
34:22
Yeah. You know, better driver, better car.
34:24
Well, if nobody else wants to go with us, what are we going to do about the drivers we have?
34:28
What's your plan for next season, my dear?
34:30
Or Miss Jen, either one.
34:34
What's your plan for driver improvement?
34:36
What do you think we need to do?
34:38
Oh, God, I need so much.
34:42
What do you think the priority would be?
34:44
Do we need to do more HPDEs?
34:48
Autocross? Do we need to do more skid pad?
34:50
Skid pad. I'd like to do skid pad.
34:54
At some point has a skid pad.
34:56
Two of them, actually.
35:02
Thanks for all those ideas.
35:06
you know, I'm just thinking like, yeah.
35:10
I mean, I love Autocross too.
35:12
That would be great.
35:14
Autocross are just kind of like...
35:18
They're fast fixes.
35:20
Can't we just get our own cones?
35:26
I know Miss Audra probably knows a place or two
35:28
that'll sell some cones to us.
35:30
We can make our own.
35:32
We'll make our own.
35:34
We'll have a 100 cone slalom
35:36
and we'll just sit there and go...
35:38
All the way down the runway.
35:42
You got to do it out there.
35:46
We'll just hire some preschoolers
35:48
to tell them to go out there.
35:50
I mean, I understand like the purpose of wanting to get a time,
35:52
but you know, the purpose
35:54
would be for me to just push the limits
35:58
It didn't matter about the time.
36:00
You know what I mean?
36:04
What are you, Miss Vicki?
36:06
What do we need to do for you?
36:08
Going into the queue.
36:10
I'm going to go work on my instructor's license.
36:12
We're going to go and do that.
36:14
So you two are going to go do some great lake stuff, huh?
36:22
All right. Awesome.
36:24
Any memorable cars and themes
36:26
that we didn't give any love to already?
36:32
No, I think that was good.
36:36
Everything was good.
36:38
The camp share was good.
36:40
The police team from the Louvre.
36:42
They were pretty good.
36:44
The theft was pretty good.
36:48
I'm trying to think about other themes that were there.
36:50
I don't think that there was a ton of things.
36:52
What about the gorilla hump in the top of the car?
36:58
Only things you see in lemons.
37:02
All right. Very well.
37:04
Good, bad, and the ugly.
37:08
Who wants to go first?
37:10
Don't all jump at once.
37:12
I would say the good.
37:14
The good was just theming with our friends.
37:18
That was hilarious.
37:20
It was a good theme.
37:22
That theme kept delivering.
37:24
It just kept, you know,
37:26
even when you thought you were hung up,
37:30
Okay. So also in the movies and none that has a magazine
37:32
that says boys life on it.
37:36
So we just kind of.
37:40
it looks like somebody had placed.
37:42
Somebody had put a.
37:48
It was a mullet calendar.
37:50
So we just flipped it over
37:52
and just, just drew the magazine out
37:54
that was in the movie and just had
37:56
Jennifer take it up and she was singing
38:04
the magazine up there
38:06
that we had created, which was just hilarious.
38:08
That was just hilarious.
38:10
But it just kept giving it was like, oh,
38:12
we gave it to Bish.
38:14
And it was just a nice.
38:16
That was the best part of the calendar.
38:18
But the nice thing about that theme is it just.
38:20
You know, you could just think, oh,
38:22
let's go do this and, you know,
38:24
like Striker with a drinking problem.
38:26
You totally have a glass and just like totally
38:30
And Tim Burr was just soaked.
38:34
And freezing. Yeah.
38:36
I think, I think his part of the theme was
38:38
definitely a summer theme and this was definitely
38:42
It was just a very hard day.
38:44
Yes. The theme kept giving
38:46
and Chrissy and I did the whole airline
38:48
store this and we just kind of walked up
38:50
and just ad-libbed.
38:54
It was just so funny.
39:00
the car gave us problems.
39:06
And the ugly was when Jennifer
39:08
steering wheel came off and when
39:10
when Donnie hit the deer,
39:12
that was pretty terrible.
39:14
There was also what,
39:16
three, four car fires?
39:22
It was Carnage. Was it the track
39:24
or was it the people?
39:26
Well, the car fires were people.
39:28
That was them. That was all them.
39:30
I know, but the Carnage,
39:32
it seemed to be a lot of black flags and yellow flags.
39:36
have to say that a lot of it was because
39:38
a lot of black flags were early
39:40
and there was a lot of people on track.
39:42
Too many for that track?
39:46
A lot of people might not have been
39:48
familiar with that track.
39:50
That's a new track for a lot of people.
39:52
I mean, how long has it been since
39:56
I think they said it was like 12 or 13 years.
39:58
And that was because
40:00
they had a problem with deer, they said.
40:02
Yeah, they fixed that.
40:08
Alright, Miss Chen, what do you got?
40:10
You got a good, bad, the ugly?
40:12
Mine are exactly the same as hers.
40:14
Wow. It's going to be a long podcast with you too.
40:18
Good. I think our theme was
40:28
issues we have with the car
40:34
WTF, I'm just saying
40:36
we can't have those because
40:38
they could be bad things. So I don't want anybody
40:40
getting hurt. That's kind of the
40:42
we do this for fun. We don't do this to make a living.
40:44
If we do it for making a living
40:46
it would be anything but making a living.
40:48
Everybody's like, what do you do with your winnings?
40:50
I'm like, winnings?
41:00
really glued this theme together.
41:02
He really did a great job.
41:04
Kind of held it together.
41:06
Came up with a lot of the ideas.
41:10
upfront, you know, pretty much anything
41:14
think of. He came up with a solution.
41:16
The only thing we couldn't figure out was how to do the dance
41:18
number to stay in alive
41:20
and have somebody get thrown up in the air
41:22
and stay in the air for 15 seconds.
41:24
But everything else we figured out.
41:26
So that was pretty good.
41:34
did well for Halloween meets Gasoline
41:36
and, you know, taken two
41:40
I think this was our fourth race, right?
41:46
That keeps our streak alive.
41:50
Miss Vicki, what's our next race?
41:56
When you're not on mute and you use a microphone.
42:00
I had a cough earlier.
42:04
I don't know when our next race is,
42:08
because we're shut down for the season.
42:20
I won't go into the garage if it's below a certain
42:22
degree because it takes too much
42:24
fuel to keep the place
42:28
We got to go shut it down though.
42:30
So we got to get in there soon.
42:34
We're going to shut it down until
42:46
we'll be back in the garage probably
42:48
January or February, but
42:50
we're going to figure it out.
42:52
We'll go in there on slightly warmer
42:54
days when it's above,
43:02
But anything below that,
43:04
especially if there's wind.
43:08
It takes too much to
43:12
But at least this year,
43:14
at least this year, we have
43:16
the thermostat working properly.
43:18
So we can turn it as low
43:20
as we possibly can.
43:22
If we had to go in there.
43:24
It's really hard to get the floor
43:30
So when you do come to work in our
43:32
garage in the wintertime, you really
43:34
should have a good,
43:36
let's say a winter boot.
43:38
Okay, so I wear merrels.
43:40
And they're merrels
43:42
like mox, they're slide
43:46
But they do have a nice lining
43:48
like a Sherpa lining on the inside
43:50
or on them, but they are meant
43:54
I think they're called icicles
43:56
or something like that.
43:58
They're lined icies or icis.
44:02
this is my daily shop shoe.
44:06
as decent shoes for jeans.
44:08
And by the end, they end up as shop shoes.
44:12
that they've been probably the best
44:14
things that I use in there
44:16
because I never feel the cold.
44:18
It's in there. You'll feel it
44:20
right into your bones.
44:22
Right into your bones.
44:26
but yeah, but now that we have the thermostat
44:28
we can set the temperature down to like 42.
44:30
I think it goes as low, the lowest setting
44:34
So that kind of keeps the floor
44:36
somewhat and it doesn't take as long
44:38
to heat up anymore.
44:44
That was the longest answer to a question
44:46
and the whole reason I had the question was
44:48
we don't know what our schedule is
44:50
because we haven't had Eric Groot on the podcast
44:52
who's coming on, I think.
44:54
So we'll leave there no next week
44:56
or the week after. It just depends on
44:58
timing, whether I can get it edited in time.
45:00
So that was the longest preview
45:02
to the beginning of the next podcast
45:06
So we're going into the season, the off season
45:08
with no real projects.
45:10
That's kind of new for us.
45:12
We'll see how things go.
45:14
We still have to catch up with
45:16
Jeremy and Audra and
45:18
Max and everybody from
45:20
New Hampshire. We haven't done that yet.
45:22
So don't think the season's technically over
45:24
even though it's done.
45:26
And then we've got some other fun things for the off season.
45:28
So hopefully you guys can pay attention
45:30
and maybe we might even have more energy
45:32
than we did right now.
45:36
Don't fight me ladies.
45:40
Try to keep this roar down.
45:46
we're going to call this an episode.
45:52
Yeah. We are pretty
45:54
beaten down. It takes us a couple
45:56
days to come back from all the adrenaline
46:04
thank you. Appreciate it.
46:06
We'll see if we can get the other people who participated
46:08
in the race on. We had some communication
46:12
maybe they missed the text, but that's okay.
46:14
It's fine. We'll do it again.
46:16
If there's one thing this podcast can do,
46:18
let's talk about the same thing over
46:22
It's almost a skill.
46:24
Thank you ladies. Great season.
