Hey, and welcome back to the next episode
of the Right Hand Drive Guys podcast.
The podcast for guys who like right hand drives.
I'm Bobby, this is Aaron.
Yo, yo.
And we are back.
We are.
We are back in the garage.
We are sadly back at the table,
would much rather be at Texas Motorplex.
Yeah, that place was sick.
The weather was great.
Yeah, compared to here,
it feels like a 50 degree difference.
Literally.
It literally was.
So, you know, it's been a while
since we have run through a good old hot or not.
There it is.
Yeah.
So, you know, I know we specifically enjoy these
because we we don't tell each other what they are prior.
Right.
We kind of just, you know, make up a little list real quick.
I give him shit because he takes way too long and then we get to it.
Yeah.
But his are probably more well thought out.
I guess we will see.
You be the judge.
Yeah, we'll see.
All right.
So if you don't know what a hot or not is,
basically we each come up with five things and we decide
whether they're hot or not.
So he's he's going to fire one at me.
I'll give my reasons.
He could kind of give his two if he wants.
Yeah.
Then I'll fire one right back at him.
And by the end, we've either agreed or disagreed on a few things.
They're going to fight.
What?
Wait, what?
Who said that?
OK, man.
All right.
Anyways, so you want to shoot first?
Yeah, I'll go first.
Sure.
All right.
This is one that I've seen kind of pop up recently lately.
And it's the aftermarket V spec two seats.
How you feeling about the aftermarket?
Oh, like, like Muse does a set, right?
They're basically like 34 dark colored 34 seats.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They look like they have like dimples in them.
Yeah.
So how do you feel about those on the aftermarket ones?
On the aftermarket side.
So I feel that I mean, dude, I get it, right?
Like getting those seats brand new is literally impossible.
But like getting them in good condition also kind of hard, right?
You know, you don't just find those.
And when you do, it's because they came out of a crash or a B car, right?
So like 10 grand or something for the OEM ones.
Yeah.
And so I definitely get it.
Like on a car like mine, like a base 34 or I mean, dude, even even a V spec, right?
Like we have to I feel that we have to embrace these things if they are made of quality, right?
If they're shit, that's where they belong, right?
Isn't shit cars or not being sold, right?
Right.
If they're high quality, like we saw some at GTR Festival, right?
Those are the Muse ones.
Right.
So that's what I've seen a couple of others.
Yeah.
And and I can't speak to any quality that I haven't seen.
Right.
And we did see those and I checked them out real quick.
And the dude, they look because I think I think I had those seats, right?
Correct.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I was like, oh, these look just like mine.
And so I feel like they were probably good quality.
I mean, I didn't inspect them.
But so I am cool with it if it's quality, right?
You know, if it's if it's junk, like we shouldn't accept it, right?
Yeah.
So I'm saying that those are hot because they are giving they are giving GTR owners and
even GTT owners a quality source for something that you can't get anymore.
Yeah, I agree.
If if they were making them new and these were half the price and not the quality.
Yeah.
No, not hot.
But I think this is hot the way that we're doing it now.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I think the quality is there.
So that's good.
Yeah.
Um, cool.
So let me hit you with one.
Let me shot to the heart.
Yeah.
Um, okay.
So, okay, listen, this one was the first one on my list because, you know,
my stance on it and we kind of talked about it and like, you know, whatever.
So the at GTR festival, this was kind of a thing that we talked about.
Right.
Okay.
You ready?
Hot or not?
The R tune hood because you, you got my opinion on it, but you weren't
just really saying much.
So now I'm like, I think it's hot.
You think it's hot?
Yeah.
Okay.
I've always liked that style of vented hood anyway.
So yeah.
Okay.
So it's hot, but, but on another level, is it, do you believe it's becoming played out?
Um, yeah, actually kind of, not that you, not that you say that, not that you ask
that question.
Yeah, I do think there's a lot of people that have those hoods.
No, yeah, they, they've definitely gotten popular.
So it used to be one of those things like, oh, shit.
Oh yeah, right.
I don't think that's quite the thing anymore.
It's almost like the norm, I guess.
Yeah.
And if you don't know like what we're talking about, a lot of people call it a
Z tune hood.
As far as I know, and we kind of did this research, it's an R tune hood that was
used for the Z tune kit.
And we're talking about the reverse vented, like kind of V almost like not V,
but like, I don't know, it goes from wider to narrow at the bottom, right?
And so that is what you would see on a Z tune.
Right.
And yeah, my point, my point is like, and, and how I felt about it was just, yeah,
they're kind of overused, you know, it's like a, it's just, that's what you always
see, you know?
And so that's why me personally, I got the V spec hood was to be at just a little
different than what every GTR, you know, Z tune front bumper, R tune hood, Z tune
fenders with the Nismo rear spats and side skirts.
That's, you know, and this is, I was actually going to use this as a hot or
not, but like, I didn't know if we, we get this deep into it.
But like hot or not the way, wait, I didn't put this on here.
Did I hold on?
No, the way that every USR 34, not every, but that, that kit, right?
That like almost like the cookie cutter, the you, the American guy combo of all
every Nismo body part or inspired by Nismo body part that you can get, right?
Like, dude, what eight out of 10 34s has the tune fenders, you know, like, so yeah,
I mean, I guess that's where my thing comes at, which I mean, I, I got the,
I got some of that stuff, you know, the LMGT fours.
That's classic American, you know, is what it is, right?
So, OK, you're saying that it's hot, but it's, it's starting to get a little
it's hot, but yeah, it's, yeah, it's getting a little lukewarm, like the way
that we're over using it, right?
A little bit.
So, and it's hard to tell because there's so many other companies making
like the aftermarket GTT to GTR conversion kits.
And that's like what they use for those two.
So that almost kind of dilutes it a little bit.
Same with the fenders.
It kind of dilutes it a little bit there because every other GTT with a front
end conversion has, has that style stuff, right?
And like, you know what you have and it's, it's like, let's just say it's legitimate.
It's genuine, but like, and who cares what anyone else thinks, of course.
But the problem is, is that the person who sees your car and sees that
legitimate stuff and then sees a GTT with all the illegitimate stuff, they
think it's the legitimate stuff, you know, which is all the same.
Yeah, you're just, yeah, it's diluting it.
But I guess it's not for them.
No, it's not.
So, OK, right.
Next one for me is, I can't remember if I had this on here before.
But it's always something we can talk about.
Yeah, let's do it.
Mitsuoka's.
Mitsuoka's.
I think probably this maybe was on our first order or not.
I don't remember.
Throwback.
But I'll hit it.
I'll hit it hard.
Listen.
I've been seeing more and more of these kind of pop up, especially like the
Lissade or whatever that they use the Sylvia for.
The Lissade.
I don't believe that's how you say it.
I have no idea.
Dude, I don't know, man.
I mean, I think like the fact that the dude, the Mitsuoka dude is had the vision
and the means to do this.
Yeah, I think that's hot.
I think the, I think the concept of a Mitsuoka is hot, right?
Like a guy chasing his vision.
Right.
Taking these factory cars and modifying them in his factory to.
Look like something else.
Crazy.
Yeah.
Like, and almost inspired by other cars, but that part, I think is sweet.
Like dude had a dream.
He did it.
It's, it's still going.
The delivery, in my opinion, is like not hot.
I think for some people, it probably is.
Like for some people, that's probably so cool, dude.
And I'm not hating on that, but through my taste and my experiences, I'm just
like, man, like, I don't know, dude.
I mean, didn't they make a Miata look like a 50 something Corvette?
Right.
Right.
Like, and I get it.
That's someone's like thing, dude.
But for me personally, in my taste, I'm like, no, like why, like, why, you know,
like, turn those things into something we haven't seen before.
Would you kind of are.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean, yeah, not like, yeah.
He's got something like the Jimny to the Ford Bronco or whatever it was, you know,
yeah, just, I mean, yes, I get it, dude.
Just for me, it's not hot.
I would rather see him create complete.
Just different stuff, different stuff, but the concept and like the dream
and yeah, that's cool.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I can see what you're saying, but that's his style.
He's probably super old.
Like it's probably, it makes sense for him.
Yeah.
And I think it makes sense for the market because, you know, people in Japan
might be into that, whereas, you know, they're not producing cars for other markets.
Yeah.
No, because I don't think anyone in the US would want to buy a Miata that looks
like a Corvette and it could be wrong.
I mean, but right in his market, dude, he's probably a king.
So what's your next one?
Okay.
Sorry.
I have to access it.
So hot or not.
No, I feel a little silly about this one, but they hot or not, the Honda Del Sol.
That's tough, dude.
I mean, that one's hard because I'm going to go with hot.
I want to go with Del Sol's hot.
Del Sol's hot.
What makes a Honda Del Sol like a 1993 hot?
B-16A.
Okay.
That was cool.
Or was it the B?
What?
It's, they had a B-16 in it.
It's a B-16 for sure.
The trans top and the JDM versions is super cool.
Okay.
I think that's cool.
How they all have the trans top is cool.
That's what I was waiting for you to say.
Yeah.
And if you're not aware of what that is, it's where the rear deck, it, it's all
automatic actuated.
The rear deck pops up, the target top slides back into it and then it all drops.
So it's like an automatic target top.
And yeah, I mean, you can like, when you see it, it's like, this is way complicated
for what actually needs to happen.
It's not that complicated to put a target top in the trunk, right?
But no, they would do it in the push of a button, dude.
I think that looks insane.
Yeah.
It's cool.
Like that whole rear deck just goes right up.
It's like, what the hell?
Imagine when those break.
Yeah.
Right.
I think those are, I think the Del Sol's are cool though, because have you seen
like the rear wheel drive or mid engine swapped ones?
No, I don't think I have, but I could picture it because of the way that the
rear is shaped.
If you don't, if somehow you don't know what a Del Sol looks like.
Just go back to sleep.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But yeah, I think where that target top would be, the trans stop would be.
I could picture a motor back there.
Yeah.
I think that would be cool.
I mean, they're an EG, they're essentially an EG, right?
But with a little different body and like, definitely the front end never
like got me excited.
You know what I mean?
Like I don't know what it was about those two little lights.
It just never got me like super excited, but yeah, it was pretty cool though.
I, I liked them for its time.
First time.
Yeah.
I just wish it would have been rear wheel drive.
Like imagine like they could have had something that could compete with
like the MR2 when things like that, like that type of sports car.
I just, I don't know what the aim was with it.
Like what was like when, when these dudes were whatever, you know, doing
their thing in their meetings, what was like the vision behind it?
Like what is the Del Sol to Honda?
You know, like what was it?
Like where did they want to slip this thing?
Cause sports car like maybe kind of obviously with the two seats, it was in
that CRX lineup or whatever.
Yeah.
Like if thing in Japan that actually had the CRX name.
Right.
So it's like, dude, I don't know where they were going with it, you know, because
obviously at that point the CRX was discontinued or it was, you know, there
wasn't any, so the Del Sol kind of took it slot.
Yeah.
I don't know about that, man.
That's, we need a Honda head on here and just tell us a history of the Del
Sol Honda heads calling you.
Del Sol hot.
Hot.
Cool.
All right.
So as a whole, this one's as a whole, not just the ones that are popular that
everyone knows about, but Veilside body kits as a whole, not just the fortune kits.
You know, like they never really attracted my attention.
I mean, fortune kits, yeah, sure, they're cool.
It changes the car completely.
That's like a, that's like a different level.
Right.
Like the fortune kits are a different level.
Right.
It changes the car like completely.
The, their base body kits never, never really attracted me.
I don't know why.
I don't know if it's because a lot of them are aggressive and kind of like,
like, they got their own style.
Yeah.
Right, right, right.
Like all these sharp like twists and turns and like lines that are all crazy.
They don't always necessarily be.
Yeah.
And like, you know, the pretty much the only hole in the bumpers where the intercooler
is, and it's like the hyper focus of it.
I don't know.
I, I guess I don't want to say they're not hot because they've earned their place.
They have lasted through storms, you know, as business people, maybe we couldn't
even imagine, you know, so I can't say not, but like for me, like, I don't know
what I would ever put one on.
If I had a car, I don't know.
Like, right.
So they're just like, I mean, they're hot as like within the culture, but body
kit specifically, non-fortune, probably not.
Dude, like, I, I can, I can agree.
They're, they're styling is definitely, it's just, it's one of those where it's
only cool because it's from Japan.
I feel like almost like not, not totally, but some of the body kits are just crazy.
How like, I don't know.
Like we always had the knockoff ones in the magazines and like super streets and
stuff, like the black widows and just the, the craziest shit that like no one
would ever buy except for that one guy down the street.
That was weird, but yeah, you get it.
It's, yeah, I don't know.
It's, but I mean, dude, again, they've submitted the company itself has
cemented themselves and like, you know, so respect to them.
But yeah, dude, especially, especially in America, because like with the Fast
and the Furious, they were in the very first.
Well, of course, their, their brand was the first one you saw.
Yeah.
You were like, what, what is that?
You know, like in, which is crazy for them, like good for them.
But for me, I just, I couldn't do it.
Um, all right, cool.
So, all right, let's hear it.
Uh-oh.
Topic came up at GTR festival, right?
And you seem to have an opinion on it and I just let you do your thing.
You seemed a little, I don't know, intense about it.
Chinese tires.
Chinese tires.
Dude, I don't get it.
Okay, let's hear it.
Like, why?
I don't, I just don't get it with some of these cars.
Like, dude, they'll have the hood popped and it's, you know, probably
a six on a horsepower build looks sick.
It's all shined up.
Paint looks nice.
Interior is nice.
Whole thing is well put together.
But dude, you look at the wheels, wheels are nice too.
But like, dang, those are, but then they're wrapped up in lion hearts or fucking
West Lakes or fucking Ling Longs or like just something crazy.
And it just like throws the whole thing in the trash.
Yeah, just because like, it's just one of those things.
It's the simplest thing you can do to your car to make it like.
Yeah.
And let's be real, right?
Like, I'm not, dude, I'm not saying no, none of these guys drive their car.
I'm not saying that at all.
What, what, no, but okay.
Okay.
If that's the truth, okay.
Why would you not invest in dope tires?
They're going to last you seven years, dude.
Like, you know, drive your car.
Right.
That's what I mean.
Like, I don't feel like a ton of those cars are none of those cars that we're
talking about are daily drivers.
Right.
They're not daily drivers.
So like, why are you cheaping out on the skins, bros?
Quit cheaping out on your skins.
Like, why?
You know, it's, it's like you invested all of this money in this beautiful car,
dude, like beautiful car and then probably spent money on shit that didn't
matter, like either for looks or whatever.
Yeah.
It doesn't matter.
Oh yeah.
So much on the little stupid shit.
Literally, what is between you and the road?
You got some Oscar buyers on there.
You've got the Oscar buyers, dude.
You got baloney skins, dude.
You got just trash, dude.
Like just come on, just have some respect for yourself and like just buy
some decent tires, dude.
Tire rack.com, dude.
They got six months free financing.
Just finance you some tires if that's what you got to do.
Get yourself some finance tires, dude.
I'm just sick of seeing the shitty tires on $100,000 cars.
It's just no sense to me.
Even, even more expensive cars.
We're at GTR festival.
I'm like, Oh dude, I've never seen this like a, it's like a Rolls Royce
drop head, pan head.
I don't know, pan handle.
I'm not sure what it is, but the fridge door.
Yeah.
I had the fridge door.
Like this thing was like brand new.
Like it was so nice, dude.
He's like, it's got Chinese tires.
I'm like, what?
I'm like, dude, you might want to watch yourself, bro.
The way you're talking in this thing's presence.
Are you kidding me?
Dude, sure enough, made in China.
I was like, what?
I was like, dude, I don't even care if there's stars in the ceilings anymore.
Dude, like there's Chinese tires on this thing.
Right, man.
Hey, if you think my buddy here should make like a little, a channel where all
he does is talk shit about Chinese tires on people's cars, like hit us up.
I think he should.
I think it would bring out a whole different side of him.
You know, like we should definitely get him into the Chinese car rating or Chinese
tire rating game.
We need to do that.
Dude, seriously, if we show up to another meet and you're on cheap tires, I'm just
going to, he's going to do it.
I'm going to do it.
I'm going to have to do it.
Yeah.
So just don't, don't do it.
All right.
Get you some ad vans.
What you got next?
Get you some ad vans.
Catch my breath after all that, dude.
I didn't know you're going to rile me up.
Sorry, I know my bad.
All right.
So this next one will calm us right down.
Um, again, we had the opportunity to have one of these and to drive around in it.
The new Nissan Z.
What is your impression?
Oh, wow.
Yeah, dude.
We, we got the Turro for GTR test.
We were whipping it all around, dude.
We were slapping paddle shifters.
We were just giving her hell.
How do you feel about him?
Dude, you didn't even hardly want to drive that thing because you had to
return it and take pictures and stuff, dude.
I don't even know how, I don't even think I did.
You even do a one to two.
No, I'm just kidding.
I don't think a turtrax gets roll off.
Yeah, it is hard when you're like renting this car that like you as a human, if
you're a decent dude, sure, some, some people might be a piece of shit and just
like be the fuck out of it.
And sure, but like this guy's not me.
Right.
You know, but like, you know, I get it.
Like you're respecting someone else's property.
Like you don't, it's, it's cool.
So from what we got from it, but you did, he like broke loose.
We got sideways.
We did, we hammered some gears, but like we weren't being ridiculous.
But okay.
So the point of the story is.
Yeah, I don't know, man.
Like, you know what I think about the Newsy dude, I think it would be dope to
swap the motor out of it into a cool car.
Like the motor seemed decent, right?
Like whatever they got in there for the motor, I really don't know much about it.
The Nissan Z was never on my like timeline.
It was never anything I would even consider.
It's just, it doesn't fall in line with the things that I do.
It does not have a GTR on it.
Right.
So I didn't even really look into it.
I'm like, you, you took off, we like took off out of the airport bargain lot and
like tires were cold and you kind of got a little wacky with it.
And I'm like, what's this thing got in there for a motor?
Yeah.
Like what the heck?
And you know, what did you say?
Six cylinder?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I believe it's a four liter V six.
Yeah.
So I think the motor is cool.
Like it seemed like if you could unlock its power with a tune and maybe some bolt
ons like that thing, probably is fun.
Right.
The rest of it.
Yeah.
Like I don't like, I don't like the fuel door, dude.
Like the fuel door is still haunting me in my dreams.
Yeah.
It was a big fuel.
Dude, it's huge.
It's a huge fuel door part of the body line and all it was like one of those.
I wasn't into it.
Dude, I'm going to like, I personally don't think the Z is hot.
I think it's not that hot.
Yeah.
And I've always thought that, dude, we walked into Zama and there's a, this prototype
Z, the prototype Z is right there.
I didn't even notice it.
It's walked right.
I walked right past it.
Like they just never caught my attention.
Yeah.
Like, and once I heard the price tag, right, you know, like whatever ridiculous
amount of money it is, they immediately was out for me because I'm like, no, like
I can get something else for that price.
Like that I feel like would reward me a little more.
So do you think it's a car you could have fun with though?
I think if you showed me how to use it in like an open parking lot or like that
type of situation, get the carplay working.
Yeah.
Dude, he struggled with the carplay.
It was like so embarrassing.
I was just like, my God, this guy's a boomer.
Like what, no, but I mean, sure, I think I could have fun with it.
If you were like, dude, yeah, beat the shit out of this thing.
Like sure.
But I don't feel like it would hold my attention that long.
I mean, but dude, I like the motor.
I feel like if that motor could be put into something old, that's a move, right?
Like just something to do, you know, put whatever that motor is into something old
and ask something, would that work?
I'm not sure.
I don't know anything about it, but that's my opinion on it.
The new Z, I don't know.
If you're a Z guy, like, do cool.
No hate.
Yeah, if you're a Z guy, you probably love it.
It's probably sick, but I never ever was, dude.
Never had a Z anything in my life.
Cool.
OK, so here we go.
Hot or not?
Do what? Hot or not?
I do what?
No interior on a street car.
This is a car that is not tracked.
That is not tracked.
Put your fucking interior back in, you teenager.
Like, what are you doing?
Oh, yeah, we called them out.
I was like, what? Come on.
What do you mean?
Like, OK, yeah, we've all been there, right?
We've all had our first Honda, right?
We've all ripped our interior out because it's so much faster without it, right?
It is kind of, yeah.
Yeah, and then we grew up.
Oh, and then we just put that shit right back in because it's a lot nicer.
It doesn't have all the rattles.
It doesn't have. You can take your homies for a ride.
It doesn't look like your shit's broken.
I don't know.
For sure.
Especially in a four door.
Gosh, dude.
Dude, come on with the sedan.
No, no interior.
What are you doing?
I like, I don't know.
It was one of those like free mods you can do back in the day to make your car cooler.
Cool.
Yeah, yeah.
It doesn't have much, so that's all we can do.
Yeah, but nowadays, dude.
Put that shit back in, dude.
Yeah, go get some LEDs for underneath.
Go do something else.
Yeah.
I mean, unless you're in the process of building it,
or you do a track day now and again, or an autocross even.
Yeah.
If you do an autocross, you get the pass, dude, but like.
Yeah, right.
Yes.
If you at least do autocross.
Dude, it's just your daily driver.
You're just weaving around doing from work with no interior.
It's just like.
You need to check.
You need to check.
Your chick's looking at you funny.
Like what's going on with your fucking car?
Yeah.
This is the theft recovery.
Like what's going on?
Talking about, talking to your mom behind your back,
asking if there's anything going on with you.
Like, yeah, no, for sure.
Okay, so hit me.
What do you got?
I get it.
No go.
Keep my interior.
Put the shit back in.
Dude, I was about to take the interior out of the Yukon dog.
Like, I don't know.
I mean, imagine, dude, I pull up in my fit and it's.
You got it.
Dude, just got it.
Dude, completely gutted.
No.
No.
Like yeah, and it's completely stock.
Yeah.
Like it's just like, what the hell is this guy?
Yeah, whatever.
You get it.
Not hot.
He's drunk.
Don't be silly.
All right.
Hot or not.
Unpainted carbon fiber panels.
Um, like dry carbon, not cleared or just like regular carbon exposed.
Like your car is blue and you have carbon fenders or hood or trunk or something,
something like a body panel.
Dude, that's hard because it's dude.
This is so dependent.
This is not a one size fits all answer.
Uh.
This is a, like, this is what car?
Like what color?
Well, I think, I mean, me personally, I think the only color that gets a pass on
unpainted carbon would be black because carbon is black.
Usually.
Usually or.
Sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I get it.
Like, especially if it's like gloss, then.
Right.
Dude, but if you're just like, okay.
We can break it down like this.
Unpainted, like carbon fiber hoods on, you know, an otherwise stock body car.
Dude, well, here's the thing.
A 34 GTR with an unpainted Z tune kit.
It's so hot, dude.
But, you know, it'd be hotter.
What?
If they painted it.
I mean, I guess.
I guess.
Or like, you know, like the, the bill by legends cars, those have it executed pretty
well.
Sure.
Sure.
You know, it's taped off where there's like a lip that's carbon.
But yeah.
Yeah.
Like, of course.
No.
Okay.
Okay.
No.
A carbon hood and trunk on like an Evo.
Yeah.
Like just swapped out.
Not hot.
Like I, whenever I would have those things, like for example, on my Evo, I wanted to go
wingless.
I went with a carbon trunk.
I had a paint match.
I don't need that.
Right.
Like, you know, I just, it's kind of foolish.
You know, like even when you do the roof cap carbon and it's all carbon, like I said,
dude, a 34 with a Z tune kit gets a pass for me any day.
Or sure, the bill by legend cars are like you said, a perfect example because there's
carbon accents on a painted bumper.
Yeah.
You know, like it's not painted accents.
I guess it's actually is kind of, I don't know, but you know, it's, but I, I agree.
A hundred percent.
Unless it's a track car.
Yeah.
Where you are trying to reduce weight and you are, you just aren't trying.
You don't need to pay.
It's a track car.
Yeah.
Like if we're talking street car.
Right.
Yeah.
I would agree with you besides a 34 with a Z tune kit.
Dude.
Like those, the two, those two brothers had them.
You know, you remember what I'm talking about.
Dude, they look sick.
Even red with like the whole carbon front end, I think looks sick.
You know.
Yeah.
I get what you're saying.
If it was all red, it would still look sick, especially if they left some carbon accents
on parts, but like I still don't hate the whole front end, like being carbon like that.
I don't think you could even do the trunk.
You know what I'm saying?
Like I don't think that if you had that front end, the Z tune front end, all carbon, it
looks like the whole front of the car is carbon.
I don't even still think you could do the trunk.
I don't think that would look good.
I just think it's that contrast between carbon, full carbon and red.
That's like attractive to me or white or whatever.
And yeah, if it's on a black car, that's even sicker because it actually does look pretty
like fluid from front to back.
So I mean, it's not hot on the average car that you got a Viz hood and a Saibon hood.
Yes.
Yeah.
No.
Was that your last one?
I think it was.
Okay.
So what was the verdict?
It is not hot on the norm.
On the norm.
But it can be executed well.
Yeah.
With paint.
Right.
So you said unpainted.
No, that's not hot besides the 34.
Yeah.
That's not hot.
But yes, of course, it's like hot like dude.
Yeah.
Of course, if you get like we said a Z tune front bumper, that's full carbon.
Yeah.
And you leave the ducks carbon.
Dude, that's hot in the lip carbon.
Yeah, that's sick.
You know, so all right, here's my last one.
Ready?
Let's go.
Hot or not, pillar pods.
Dude.
Pillar pods.
Dude.
Not.
That's funny.
You bring this up because dude, they're not hot.
Like I've never had good luck with them and.
Dude, it sucks.
Yeah.
You have to destroy your a pillar like trim to get them to fit correctly.
My the a pillar trim in my car is messed up because someone screwed gauges into it or
you know, pod into it.
So I cannot stand him.
It's funny you bring this up because literally I was in Nashville a couple days ago and my
buddy Nathan came by with his 180 sx and he was wanting me to help him get his gauge pod
in and he had an a pillar pod.
And I'm just like.
Oh, no.
Yeah.
I was like, all right, dude, I'll help you.
I was like, dude, I'll help you.
But like, don't we can't screw into your panel.
No, we can't.
We can't ruin your panel to get these gauges to mount.
Boys, do not ruin factory panels.
Like don't do it.
If you have a JDM car, any of these JDM cars don't do it.
You cannot go back and you're not finding that panel.
Maybe you'll get lucky, but nine times out of 10, you're not finding that a pillar.
Like, no, no, it's tough.
They're getting harder and harder to find because of stuff like this.
So anyways, yeah, we got it up there.
It was fitting kind of wonky.
It wouldn't stick with double sided tape.
He ended up having to go back, do it again and like tape it to it.
So it was holding pressure against it for a period of time.
Not sure of the verdict if it actually stuck, but we'll pray for Nathan.
We're going to pray for him.
And actually, I think in some states, those are illegal pillar pods, pillar pods.
Yeah.
All your gauges have to be like in the dash, not like that.
That makes sense.
I think it's more for like trucks and stuff.
Uh-huh.
Yeah.
That does make sense.
It's like a distraction you're looking at.
Yeah, exactly.
It's a distraction.
But yeah, no, not hot.
Never loved them.
No go on the pillar pods.
Yeah.
No, I hear you.
I think I maybe had them once or tried them once.
I don't know.
I always kind of straight away because I always kind of try to stay straight away clearly
until I got into GTRs from stuff that was like the norm, like that everyone was doing.
And at one time, pillar pods were the only thing almost, you know, and then if you had
an STI, you could put one on the top middle there, you know, and stuff like that.
But like pillar pods were it.
And so I just never, never really went with them.
But okay, cool.
So those are the hotter knots.
We didn't fight sorry to disappoint everyone.
My bad.
You know, that's rare.
If you can get us to fight, I'll give you some money.
