I call it a hinge event because it's like a hinge because it turns from the before times to the after times.
After this event, it becomes the Western swing and then Brainerd and Indy and that's it.
Countdown.
How in the world, I got to stop saying it, but I'm shocked at how quickly the season has gone by.
The 75th season of the NHRA is just flying by.
Now, I did miss the first two races myself and I did really miss February to, you know, the beginning of May, whenever it was that,
got out of the hospital.
Like that's a blur.
It doesn't exist.
But still, we are about to go to Norwalk, a massive event, a monster event, every class, always great, always great and super excited.
People can be trying to do the ice cream scoop deal.
Win themselves an ice cream scoop.
They've got a double divisional that went on this past weekend.
Really wild stuff.
My personal friend, Rick McDonough, top sportsman, winner, race two.
That is a big deal.

But I feel without knowledge that the style they're playing is
different than in the past.

fetal position and start playing defense and.

offensive or offensive, depending on how you look at it,
style.

Him, Connor, you know, there's someone by the name of Austin
Hill, who ran out of talent and just drove into him,
cut the curve short and at the restart, I was like, dude,
I have to say there's a reason I didn't have Austin Hill on my team
because I figured he was going to do something like that.
Run out of talent, you know, especially when he won the day before,
which was great for RCR and, you know, the O'Reilly.
Those of us so old school called the Bush series, but the O'Reilly series.
And, you know, he just drove over his head.
I just it's like, wow, I mean, they kind of blame
Village on the broadcast, too.
No, it wasn't Connor.
I mean, no, it was not Connor.
For the first time in a long time, when when he'll hit that wall,
it's almost like SVG kind of ran him over and all hell broke loose up there.
Well, we saw they were gone three wide and SVG was like,
whoa, whoa, whoa, this isn't going to work.
So we backed it down and then Austin just go outside.
Yeah, the field, the field or SVG bat field wins.
You know, this this race field comes in.
It's you know, he was a heavy favorite.
It was like, oh, I believe I saw it in the neighborhood of minus 300,
which means you would have to lay 300 to win a hundred.
Yeah. Yeah.
So but it was a good race.
I mean, all in all, it was a race watch.
Minus they got to do something with the caution and how they run them.
But that's been an ongoing topic of the NASCAR season.
So it's it's just.
New, fresh and exciting.

Like if there's an algorithm in the cosmos, which tells us
whether we like or we don't like new and fresh.
Adds like a point five to it.

We're seeing all the ships in the background.
You're seeing the United States military personnel, like all of that.
Just as a seasoning, forget anything having to do with the race.

They got a bleacher up on the aircraft carrier.
That's cool.
All these different things to look at and shots to see.
And the fact that the broadcast booth was coming up was coming.
They were in the ship, right where the captain's deck is.
I was freaking awesome.
I was like, wow, what a view that's so they went all out and that was cool.
The track was very slippery.
This is as green as it gets, you know, and on a road course or street course
and bumpy, that's good.
It added it added all this flavor and color and character.
And so I hope they I don't know how long the contract is.
There's discussions yet on how, you know, is it going to is it is it going to be
a two race or maybe three race deal?
Who knows? They don't know, but I do commend NASCAR.
They heard feedback about between transportation and getting people into
the race and food and other things, and they actually contracted out.
I was I was listening to Glock and and he said that actually NASCAR brought
in additional food trucks, had additional food, brought in additional people.
So they actually they heard what was happening on Saturday and made improvements
for Sunday is is what I heard.
So I got to give kudos for that.
You know, they did.
And any time you're going to the first, you know, the first event, Joe,
you've you've been to a couple now, right?
Yeah, you're never quite sure what that that first first race is going to bring.
So, you know, I hey, I still give them.
I give them two thumbs up on that one.
I thought it was great.
So yeah, just that simple, just that simple.
Geo, Michael Jordan, domination, what's happening?
I'm an eighting winning sixth out of the first 17 races.
Unbelievable. 35 percent.
I believe that works out to her.
So I don't know, man.
I wonder if it was a part in part of the arrangement.
Was a part of the arrangement of what's the number?
Was it like 35 percent races?
Yeah, they're going to end up winning about 12 races.
This is how we're going to pay you, man.
Don't worry, we're not going to stroke you a check.
But you'll win 35 percent of the races.
That's going to total, you know, 42000000 dollars and everything will be fine.
You get the fame and the sponsor money and it'll be great.
You deal deal deal done.
But no, it's just it's actually, you know, quite interesting.
Corey Heim, who's going to take over the 35 car for Riley Herps next year,
already gets in in that fourth car running sometimes and picks up a victory.
And Redick was running, was really kind of running first.
And, you know, they tapped and he kind of doored Heim and he felt bad
and he let him have the position back.
And apparently when he when he hit the wall there, he kind of lost the tire
because he ended up getting a flat the next lap
and had to end it up like what, 25th, 26th way down there.
Yeah. Yikes.
So I'm sure the point standings because Hamlin definitely had, I believe, a top 20.
And so the point standing should be a little closer now where, you know,
early on in the season, it looked like Redick was just running away with it.
Yeah, this was one of the races that has really a two man show between
Redick and Hamlin this season, which is fine.
The two man show is fine.
Like, I don't know when this happened.
But it's only exciting if there's like six or more competitors
all vying equally for the deal.
Like, no, man, no, it's OK if two people stand above the rest
and battle each other for supremacy.
That's kind of what we're used to.
Usually there's one or two.
You think about the Lakers and the Celtics.
You think, you know, throughout there's a couple of powerhouses and they battle it out.
We don't have to have nine or 10 guys that can all equally win for it to be exciting.

That's not exactly how they work.
But you're already losing if he wins, but you lose a little bit.
Well, it's that's the thing that you have to to win 100.
You have to put up 300.
So right. So if you actually, you know, if you're in a casino
and you put $100 down, you're going to get back $133.
It's how it works.
So you only win $33 on a hundred dollar bet.
God, right. You can't you can't take away from

But if you do, I'm sure they have a field bet where where, you know,
you're picking everybody else or SVG.
And in that case, you probably would, you know, you obviously would have won.

That's why you rarely see anybody at minus money in in in racing
or in events like that, because it's it's, you know, it's four.
Well, in this case, what, 38 other 37 other drivers?
And it like in golf, you know, even this weekend,
the the favorite was still like four or five to one.
Whereas if you if you had bet $100, you win 400 on top of your hundred.
And and that and that's considered a low favorite,
typically for an event where there's many participants.
OK, and there you have it.
Even even historically, back in the days
when Junior was winning all the races on the plate tracks,
he was still, you know, plus three or 400
which meant that it was either three or four for for every dollar.
You win a dollar, three or four dollars for every dollar you bet.
He was, you know, I mean, maybe he was.
We'd have to I'd have to do, you know, run, you know, do some research.
But I don't at the top of my head.
I don't ever recall him being in in the negative numbers
where you had to lay more money to win less.
Yeah, I three to one was the best I remember.
I mean, I was wrong, but I remember a three to one being about it.
And I was like, wow, yeah.
Because in that car, there is no guarantee you're going to finish a race.
Well, I remember complaining about odds.
Remember, you know, with Bob Smith complaining about odds that they were right.
That three to one, it's like, no, man, they got to run 500 miles.
It's a 500 mile race.
You got 42 other guys that can drive into your door.
Like how in the world could it be three to one?
And yet and yet Junior won those races and he came in.
So mathematically, it would never be three to one.
But based on how much action and how many bets are being placed on a specific,
you know, participant, that's why the number starts getting lower.
But mathematically, one out of 38 would never be three to one.
You know? Yeah.
Well, regardless, regardless, all you kids out there, you know,
only gamble what you can afford.
Yeah, that's the only gamble we can afford to lose.
That is that is right. That is right.
It's entertainment. It's entertainment dollars.
That's why I tell people with the play on HRA when we're always talking about
playing HRA and I encourage people to do it and I'm sure it's very fun.
If you could do it, it's it's just so you're riding with your driver, man.
It's just so you're riding with your driver.
Like if you're dropping hundred dollar bets and you're trying to pay your mortgage
and you're trying to strike it rich, that is not the way to do it.
But if you put, you know, five dollars like a horse race, you know,
or ten bucks on Sean Langdon at every race this year,
you'd probably be about even money.
I don't know what the odds are, but you'd probably be about even at this point
and you'd have some good entertainment.
You have some great stories.
Yeah, at a time I put five dollars on Sean Langdon.
He went out there and he won the race.
Man, I was a hero.
That's part of it, too.

he's going to go down early.
He's going to run the double divisional down there or the divisional, excuse me,
on Monday, he's going to run the Jigsaw Stars and then the Stampede of Speed.
That'll give him another national.
So he's going to have a couple of national points totals to go with his
divisional total.
And while he's already got two wins, so he's working on it, he's building.
You've got to build this foundation, this points foundation.
You've got to build it.
He's got two really strong cornerstone building blocks to a world championship claim.
We'll see how it all works out.
And it'll be racing here this weekend.

I think that's an interesting angle with all the racing left.

they've been finishing one car like it's like one car each week has problems.
Yeah, the last couple of weeks, they've each car has had a problem.
They're taking turns.
But, you know, also the last couple of weeks, Ferrari has had one driver.
I don't want to say which one, but not Lewis.
Having some issues, maybe, maybe the weight of that heavy contract
that he just signed is slowing down his car and causing some failures there.

You know, he did sign a big, heavy extension from what I was understand.

I think we shouldn't get lost on the fact that there's not that many races
that have actually taken place so far this year.
In comparison to every other year, like we are in the middle of the year
and normally there's a ton of races that have been, well, at least three more
races that have been conducted and because we lost all those races due to the war.
And that break in the middle, that break in the middle.
I think, well, like you were saying, Sue, with drag racing, that consistency
and that momentum is that's why you gun drivers like, you know, your veterans
like Lewis are probably rising to the challenge as well.

This is something that I know we discussed, but I totally forgot.
Are we adding those races back at the end of the year somewhere?

No, as of now, it's going to be now.

Listeners, these these people listen to us.
And L. Ray in Arkansas was one of those people.
And this guy is an interesting character.
He's an older gentleman.
I don't know. And but he listened to 11 years on me.
He listened to satellite radio and he was interested in NASCAR.
And he liked the show.
He was a trucker.
He's got over 3000000 miles driven in an 18 wheeler.
A million of those with what was the same truck.
Really? Wow.
He's got relatives.
He could trace his family tree back to people that served in the Confederate War.
Yes. Yeah. He's he he had direct linkage.
Yeah, yeah, to these folks.
Yeah. And there is partial linkage
to folks that fought in the American Revolutionary War
on his against from his family.
That is wild craziness.
Is he good? Is he is he happy?
Is he? No, I was just getting to that.
He was doing good.
You know, we're trying to join retirement life there in Arkansas.
And then four years ago, we got the big C.
And that's when I really start.
I mean, I kept in contact with him, you know, here or there.
But when that happened, that's when I really started at least once a month or so.
Once every six weeks, you know, checking in with him.
I kind of remember seeing some stuff on the socials about that.
That may gave me the indication that that was the case.

He's a really nice guy.
His life is from Thailand.
She understands English very well.
Her accent is a little tough, but I've been around a lot of people from Asia

I've got a nice little place there in Arkansas.

But I would plan to be there maybe two days instead of just a half a day.
There's a lot to do there and see.

World Cup soccer tournament going on all over North America, Canada,
U.S. and Mexico.
And as we were discussed earlier,
the U.S. has been a pleasant surprise for us all here.
They're 2-0 winning two games by a decisive in a decisive manner.
And their next game, I believe, is Wednesday.
No, sorry, Thursday.
They play Thursday night against Turkey out in L.A.
and so five and and that'll be the third game.
Tomorrow, Tuesday will be the last game of the last day of the game.
Two's and then starting Wednesday,
everybody will start playing their third games,
which the schedule has been about four games daily.
But starting Wednesday, there'll be six games on
and they'll be playing two games at a time
instead of just each game having its own window.
Since I guess that's to to prevent certain teams from
from, you know, doing nothing when two teams have everything to play for.
But that's what's going on.
The World Cup today, France and Argentina both got big victories.
Lionel Messi scores two goals in the Argentinos to nothing victory.
He has now scored all five goals for Argentina
and has made himself the number one goal scorer in the history
of our World Cup soccer surpassing Ronaldo,
who has been shut out thus far.
And I can tell you that South Florida has been invaded by the Tartan Army.

And since they play here, I believe it's Wednesday.
They play Brazil here at Dolphin Stadium,
otherwise known as Hard Rock Stadium or as the World Cup calls it, Miami Stadium,
because FIFA does not believe in allowing any non FIFA sponsor
any kind of a free marketing.
And so I don't know if you've noticed all the stadiums are named after the cities
and not their proper sponsors, which, by the way, if I was one of those sponsors,
I'd be reading that sponsorship contract.
I'd have the legal way in there to see how much, you know,
we can claw back or what we're going to get back because it is huge when you pay,
you know, about upwards of 10000000 dollars a year to have a stadium
named after your company specifically for all of these things
and then have all those names wiped off when, you know, the world is watching.
And so did I cover the logos also?
Yeah, they remove them and cover.
There's not a single hard rock sign anywhere on the property.
Same thing going on over there at MetLife in New York.
And they've had some issues in some stadiums, I believe Gillette Stadium.
All of the seats had Gillette little Gillette stickers on them or Gillette logos.
And they had to go around 86ing those and getting rid of them,
which is, you know, crazy to begin with.
But yeah, they're playing at Philadelphia Stadium
or they did play at Philadelphia Stadium today, which otherwise known as the link.
And so that's what's going on.
The World Cup over the weekend.
The U.S. Gulf Open was at Shinnecock.
A good friend of ours was there on the premises.
It was one by Wyndham Clark, who led I don't know, coast to coast.
I'm not sure what you call it in hockey and hockey and golf.
When when, you know, you lead the tournament from the first day and actually win it.
But in surprising fashion, he tried, you know, it's a Chittacock is a really tough course.
And he he got a quick lead on on on Thursday.
Got shot six under and then he hung on the rest of the weekend
and ended up winning by two shots and brings brings home the trophy.
His second U.S. Open in the last three years.
He had to battle not just the course, but the New Yorkers,
who were openly rooting for Scotty and against Wyndham Clark, who was also American.
But it was terrible.
The guys got some fans got thrown out and ejected for for screaming at him
and saying, Mr. Greens and and cheering again, openly cheering
when he did something, you know, bad or when he had a bad shot.
It was it was quite quite the thing to see.
And, you know, they did their best.
They sang a happy birthday to Scotty on on Sunday on Sheffler, who's, you know,
he's a fan favorite and the number one player overall in the world.
And he was making a nice comeback, but too little, too too late.
And he came he felt a third after he missed a nice birdie putt there at the end.
And but that the U.S. Open and then some college baseball World Series ends tonight.
Game three between Oklahoma, the Sooners and North Carolina, the Tar Heels.
It was tied at 11 game apiece.
And I believe today, Oklahoma is just beating them up pretty good.
It's 91 in the sixth inning.
So it looks like the Sooners are going to win the college
baseball World Series in MLB.
You know, we're quickly approaching the halfway mark just a couple of weeks away
from the All-Star break, which typically comes about 90 games in that really
at the halfway mark, even though they call it the halfway marks.
And our New York Yankees are still in first place.
They have a substantial lead, but they've not been playing well the last few days.
You know, after winning nine out of 10, they promptly dropped two out of three
to the last place reds, and then they go ahead and lose today to Detroit,
who was also is also a bottom another bottom dweller.
But nonetheless, they still have a two game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays
and are the best team in the American League where there's only 112
345 teams with a 500 record or better or above 500.
Actually, there's no one at 500.
So yeah, the American League is kind of stinking stinking up the joint.
Five teams above 510 losers.
And the National League is, you know, a the local team is playing pretty well.
The Marlins have won four in a row.
And I believe they're 14 and four in the month of June.
They're winning, you know, that for those degenerates out there,
there's there's always a bet on most wins for the month.
And the Marlins are two games ahead of the Phillies for that.
You could have gotten a really nice number.
I believe it was like 75 or 80 to one for if you had the Marlins
for the most wins in June.
But I did not.
I did not expect that.
But again, as great as they've been, they're only two games above 500.
And but they are half a game out of the wall card in the National League.
So go go local team.
We got to go. go to a game.
I haven't been to a Marlins game in two seasons.
I want to go to a game this summer.
Well, we'll figure that out.
I went we went on opening day and it was nice.
It was it wasn't terrible.
Yeah, we know it shouldn't be terrible.
I mean, you know, it could get crowded on opening day
where if we go tomorrow, it'll just be like you and me
and about 4500 of our closest friends.
Yeah, they don't have fans.
Well, they do have fans. It's just, you know, it's tough.
It's there's 5000 of them. That's the problem.
Yeah. And you know, unfortunately for the team,
they've just been ownership after ownership, puts a team together
and as, you know, can't afford to keep them together.
And and we'll enter any circumstance that stadium
beats, you know, 65 percent capacity on a Wednesday.
Never. It's just probably never.
There's no circumstance that Miami people are going to get behind
the kind of thing like baseball on the regular basis.
Again, what happened prior, which is win a World Series
or get far into, you know, into the playoffs
and then try to let that team stay together and actually
because the next year after you win is really when you see the bump
in attendance and all that.
Absolutely. The history down here, they won in 97
and their owner at the time, may he rust in peace.
Wayne Huizanga was angry at that nobody was going
except that during the whole playoffs, they had 65000 fans at Joe Robbie Stadium
and he, instead of keeping the team together the following year,
they sold off all the assets and traded them away.
And then they got, you know, I don't want to say they got lucky,
but they did get lucky again in one in three.
And they actually kept that team together,
but they they turned out to not be so good in four.
And, you know, the rest is as they say history because then
the Bruce Sherman's group, where he had Jeter in control, came in
and while they they did have nicely rebuilt the farm system, they they they just
they can't they haven't found a way to generate the kind of revenue locally
that you need, whether through sponsorship or the TV deal or radio or anything
to really be able to put more payroll into the team.
They need an owner like the Mets David Cohn or I mean, sorry, Steve Cohn
or somebody who is willing to for four to five years,
just plow money into the team and take the tax ride off,
which, you know, you get the five years of depreciation and and that.
And that I firmly believe that if we can get an owner like that,
that that is what will lead to the possibility of it becoming finally
a real sport where they could generate 10 to 20,000 fans a game.
Right. Meanwhile, the Mets aren't.
Fortunately, nobody nobody down here got, you know, a billion dollars
to throw at the team and then a couple of 100000000 dollars a year
to to throw at the team because they just don't have, you know,
Miami's not a small market, but it's a small revenue team.
Yeah, well, so the new collective bargaining agreement
that they're going to negotiate here at what, at the end of this year?
Well, it ends at the end of the year.
So we'll see that are trying to to play hard line.
And, you know, the players, unfortunately, they will
they have always resisted a hard cap or any kind of salary cap.
And for though, cap and floor, I think is the solution.
And that's the thing that I think they're not really paying attention to,
that in order for there to be a cap, there has to be a floor has to be a floor.
And the floor would be significantly more than what half the teams are paying
right now. And so I think that in there, you know,
not looking at the big picture, they're like, oh, we're going to cap revenues
at the Dodgers aren't going to be able to spend unlimited money.
And well, if the Dodgers can't spend the limited money,
but 15 other teams now have to, you know, bring up their payroll by 50 to 100
million dollars, well, the money is going to be there for players.
And if you really look at the other sports, what, you know, mostly basketball
and football, they are a hard cap type sport where there's a hard top and a hard
bottom. And, you know, how many basketball players are making 30, 40,
50 million dollars a year that you're like, wow, that guy isn't like the best
player. He's not worth all that. But the same way, you have to get to a minimum
salary. So guys are getting max salaries that don't necessarily aren't,
you know, superstars.
But with the floor, the floor solves a lot of problems.
I know it's a big departure and not to spend too much.
Well, the thing is that I'm right, Sue, there's got to be a floor and there's
got to be what I don't believe is that that a lot of these teams can actually
afford to have 100 to 150 million dollar payrolls, because they just don't
have the revenue. While basketball and football, they have national TV deals.
And all the money is shared amongst all the teams.
Baseball has historically made money off their local deals.
That's part of this, too, though.
I think they're going to try to do a national way, right?
To be able to get rid of all those blackouts on the MLB.TV because of that.
Like here locally, the Marnons, we can't watch their local games on MLB TV
because the local rights are owned by whatever the local cable company is.
I believe it's FanDuel or, I don't know, Bally's or whatever they're calling
themselves these days.
And so that's the problem for a lot of baseball teams, you know, and, you know,
we don't want to really get into the nuts and bolts of baseball business.
But that's what's going on at the end of the year.
The current collective bargaining agreement expires.
And hopefully they figure something out
because the worst thing for the sport would be if they miss any time.
Can't miss any time.
It'll set it back even that much further if it.

Because it all but killed it before.

Three races over this Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Race one Mustang one with cam waters at the wheel for the Tickford team.
Race two on Saturday.
Kai Allen for the pen right oils team with the Mustang as well.
And race three on Sunday was Anton Deepa squire Lee for team racing 18, which is the factory backed general motors team.
Come away with a win.
That's general motors Chevrolet and which was with the Camaro.
That's their first win since the race in February.
They've had the Chevy brands had a bit of a dry spell.
That's for sure.
A lot of the, I guess, tier one teams this season went to forward with the Mustang.

So a lot of the top tier supercar teams went to forward and some of them went to Toyota.
For the 2026 season.
And that's really had a an effect on and drivers for that matter.
That's had a great effect on the Chevy's results this season.
Cam waters driving for the monster Tickford team come away with the overall win.
So they have the triple crown.
The driver with the most wins over the course of the weekend comes away with the triple crown, which is a bit of thing up there.
Also, before I get to drag racing in the people's Republic of Victoria, which is down south in Melbourne.
If you guys remember back in COVID days, that was the state that had the most lockdowns in the whole world.
The people were locked down the most.
That state is in financial ruin basically.
Currently and good people, good state down there.
But the current government has just driven it in the ground ever since COVID days.
They in the last month have lost the MotoGP has been cancelled down there to go to Adelaide to the bend where the drag strip is.
So that facility in South Australia, which is the next state over.
And just this week, it was announced that the World Superbike Championship round that was in Victoria as well is also going to the bend, which is a huge queue.
It's a little island off the bottom of Victoria called Phillip Island.
It's been a racetrack since the 30s, I believe, and it is a premier racetrack.
That's for sure.
Nothing to want for down there.
They have had both those races for as long as I can remember.
And now that's heading heading to South Australia.
So what's apparently behind it is that there's just no government funding or support for the events.
And South Australia has pulled off a coup and it's all moving over to the bend Motorsports Park.
Last but not least, we've got some drag racing coming up this weekend at Sydney Dragway.
We are in the midst of our winter break, but they have a major nostalgia meeting called the day of the drags, which is probably one of the biggest nostalgia meetings that happens in Australia, but definitely in Sydney.
And that's on this weekend.
So maybe Matt will get out there, but I'm not sure my shazzy builder and friend John Willard with the world's quickest Ford Anglia.
He'll be out there racing that with his son behind the wheel and hoping for some six second passes, which will reclaim his or establish his world record in Outlaw Anglia.
And that's pretty much it for the Aussie report.

Just to tag that, you know, there was some, I got a wild video sent to me, Larry Spiderman McBride went for a bit of wild ride and you know, he sources a lot of his parts from Australia, etc.
And so on that scared the crap out of me.
Wild stuff.
I've not seen that one.
Yeah.
Yeah, big.
Don't know any of the details as to why, but it looked like air just got under him and started to peel him off the bike.
Maybe Sue has more information on that.
I haven't spoken with him or anything like that, but it's really weird to look at it.
And he came off the bike, slid along ways, and he ended up standing up.
And he wanted to go back out because he won the round.
Wow.
I read that he wanted to like get stitched up and go back.
But man, that was, that was a scary, scary ride that he was on because I don't know exactly what happened, Joe.
I'm the same with you.
I've heard different things.
So I haven't heard the or read the official.
This is exactly what happened.
And so, but it almost seemed like it was something when he was, it was with the throttle and because like, he just saw us.
All of a sudden it's like, he looked like he was trying to like, you know, shut it down.
And the next thing you know, he's, he's off with, man, that bike kept going.
Well, I don't know what triggered me to just to think about that.
But since you're talking about Australian drag racing, I thought about it just, it made me want to mention Larry because he's
a friend of the FFO and the fact that he's, he watches on a, you know, he watches our Tuesday shows and everything.
And, you know, he's out there racing a national trail.
And oh my gosh, just comes off and it just, it looked like air got under him and he's, you could see him.
He's trying to and it ain't happening.
Crazy stuff.
He says Larry said in a post rec interview, he was trying to grab the handlebar and when got under him.
So he said he was sore, but he'll recover and is trying to rebuild.
Great.
I was going to say it wasn't the hand that's tethered with the kill switch on it.
No, it was the opposite hand.
It's the opposite.
Okay.
We saw a thing with the other though, another footage during their nitro Harley deal.
Somebody's bike just lurched out from under him, just took off and the kill switch.
Shut it down.
But my gosh, I did see that one.
But all those guys, you know, they've got, they've got size, size 16 bowling balls down there.
Oh yeah.
Oh yeah.

We got a little, we got a little motorcycle drag racing in there as well.

up yet but uh I uh went to Greer went bracket racing had a fantastic time and uh I went red
in the semifinals fourth thou so uh she's uh like I said we we we don't quite have her dialed in
quite yet uh I was running uh 618 619 uh in the eighth uh about 112 so uh there's a couple things
we went took at home and uh we were tuning on it so uh this coming weekend the bracket racing
bracket racing weekend for both of us it's points up Greer so we'll be headed out to there
but I I do have to say um congratulations to Hank Boynton who won on Saturday in Pro
and Joey Dotson who though I had lost to in the semifinals was the runner up so uh congratulations
to those guys uh made a good time we're going to see what we can throw down this coming weekend and
we uh Dave and I get to uh celebrate another anniversary this week so uh tomorrow we celebrate
our wedding anniversary 36 years so wow happy anniversary yeah so uh so we're gonna see like
what can we do this coming weekend and uh it could be fun right like that'd be the way
to celebrate the weekend the anniversary so we'll see but uh yeah so Dave Dave married you straight
out of like junior high or something yeah yeah I was I was just you know I was I just a little
bunker you know barely yeah yeah exactly weird I'm in America only in America that's right
that's right but we're just too big kids but I want I want to go save you from this

how fast does the car going to go like off the stop like do we have 60 foot time do we have you
only ran eight miles so what do we know what are the comps uh well right now I was running uh 136
60 okay 545 miles an hour um yeah well yeah I was running 10108 109
and now I'm at the 112 and to be honest we found a few more things so I don't think we were quite
letting her eat the way she should so we'll see what uh what this weekend brings so because to be
honest right now she's a little slower in 60 foot I was doing 135 60 foot but I wasn't um but this
thing uh we're going to get her up in the rpms because my last motor was right around 6800 was peak
so um yeah we're we're tweaking it we're we uh we we got a new new converter we get to marry up
with this combination and uh so uh Kevin at Hughes uh built that for us and so that thing's running
good now we just got a tuner in so who knows um we'll we'll see what kind of mile an hour we get
out over this weekend and uh with the changes we made uh running a little bit better so uh
as we were she was popping at the top of uh a first gear before she'd shift so no but I don't
think it was an actually a pop I think we might have had her you know there was the last car
the last engine combination where you were shifting at with rpm and this one got it and we
shift on time so and I was like man shift shift it's really weird so so yeah we're gonna let her
we're gonna chipper up some more and let her eat this weekend so who knows she may be in the eighth
we'll see how she goes it could be low six or you know I'm not sure if we're going to get
a tenth and a half out of it but we could be low sixes and she could be a hundred and
hundred and fifteen mile an hour piece in the eighth so we'll see now that's great well good
so it's fun though you know it's but I gotta tell you Josh oh my goodness it is up out smooth
straight down the track wow I mean it's just the way we have the car the weight shifts and
everything it just it's it's one of these days I want to get the Pontiac and
run it all out you know off the stop but the first hit I'm I'm honestly
afraid like I don't want it to go up you know I don't want to go up why do you think I took
put Dave in for the first yeah I'm already I mean you get in I don't want to rip the back bumper off
all right good job Sue excellent work final thought final thought everyone have a great week I know
you guys are going racing this week so be safe out there in your travels and WFO I'm sending a
proxy to Norwalk this weekend so if you see him out there you could yell at him for me
WFO yeah the gray coming with his uncle we're going on the journey together not quite
Sacramento to New England and back but we're gonna have a little fun we'll maybe try to
hit the rock and roll hall of fame and maybe go to summit maybe you know but he's gonna get his
fair share of Norwalk of all the races to go to to be fully immersed oh and he's gonna see one
hack of a firework show yes man see a heck of a firework show hang on that's gonna be awesome
he's gonna have a lot of great stuff it's pure americana all the way about americana
what is more americana than this you know do we have to go to like uh you know a war
a reenactment uh you know like what's more americana than this I can't think so Norwalk
Norwalk just puts it on so it really does and one other plus yeah I will
have an assistant now and if you didn't catch the shows last week oh my goodness

Hartford go check it out um life's drag I mean great shows last week so if you didn't catch
thank you thank you very much you know what I did though the last week shows I thought you know
that was pretty good Hartford especially uh Hagan especially what's he wearing what's this guy
wearing on the way to lake he's going yeah I'm going to the lake super cash right hanging out
talking to the WFO universe telling us secrets and details and then this also gives me the
opportunity to mention tomorrow's show Leah we had Hagan now we got Leah this week just
Leah me and Leah gonna talk about her big win tomorrow and then get ready for Norwalk all
way to go Sue Bobby Graham way to go Geo excellent work by Giovanni appreciate you
and that gets us to the final thought right we were shooting for an hour it's an hour and 49 minutes
that a lot of good stuff Kevin the trip the trek like the show is as long as the trek we had to
hear about all that stuff all the good stuff and uh and I'm excited I'm excited to go to Norwalk
guys I'm really excited about the remainder of this season hopefully you're all feeling good
you know father's day hopefully had a great time father's day I had an awesome weekend
didn't miss my dad like missed my dad a lot but I'm happy I got to be with my dad at any point
so there's all that balance heading to Norwalk Ohio Wednesday gonna be a great race if you're
