Welcome to Driving While Awesome. My name is Warren. I'm Lane. And I'm Art. Dude, you jumped right into it. Well, I don't know. You kind of got all fired up with let's go. I was like, I love G. Let's go. I love G, man. So I was going. I was ready to go. I'm just back from the Hamptons, guys. So I'm like, it's hard to deal with you, my cousin.
Oh my God. It's really tough, guys. I want to point out that there was a time in life where Lane would have hated the Hamptons, I think. Would I? I don't think I ever would have. I think he would have been like fucking snobs.
I mean, probably, but I don't think I would ever hate the Hamptons. Maybe not. It's a strong word. It's kind of my vibe, like a little town like that. Like a little town finding little, discovering little restaurants and bars and stuff.
No, I get that. I get that. I think it's more of the, you know, hanging out with Goop.
I don't know what that is. Wait, wait, let me ask you a question real quick. What were the outfits to the event?
Dude, it's funny. I mean, there was definitely some wild ones, but it wasn't.
But you guys, you and Nick are together. Oh, ours? Oh, what do you think?
T-shirt and shirt bag as hell.
Okay. I looked like a fucking prince next to Nick.
I know. Well, Nick is the ultimate dirt bag.
I would say that. I was wearing brand new, like dark jeans.
Okay.
Okay. Jeans. That's, that's spary, spary, but like dress, boat shoes, like no, no laces, right?
That's very Hamptons.
Nice. No socks.
Yeah. Yeah.
A button down, like lightweight button down, corduroy shirt.
All right.
Sleeves pulled up, right? To my, to my wrist.
Let me ask you a question.
Well, you got to show, you got to show your, you got to flash your metal, you know, on your wrist.
It was hot. I mean, it wasn't really nice out, dude.
So it was like kind of like wearing, I only brought a, like a long sleeve good shirt.
Like, yeah, let me ask you this. Some, you said button down.
I sometimes say button up.
Oh, that's funny. Yeah.
Well, I think that while button down usually is refers to the collar, right?
Like if you have a button down, it has the little buttons on the collar.
Oh, so mine was button up.
Yeah. Well, I don't know.
Yeah. It didn't have the buttons on the collar.
And I always buttoned the shirt down, starting at the top down.
And sometimes you just leave the top button only.
Yeah. Exactly.
So that would be a button down.
Yeah. It's a button down.
Like you said, I always button down, but I get a button up button down.
Yeah.
You got a button down.
That's interesting.
We need a little more of a Seinfeld joke.
I apologize.
We are talking about the Hamptons.
So go on.
So that's what I was wearing, dude.
Pretty normal hat.
I had a hat.
I did have a hat.
Yeah.
And then I had a, I don't know, probably this, maybe this hot.
And then I had a Grand Seiko SPG four things.
Lane is wearing a day you smock in a board or something.
Grand Seiko snowflake watch.
All right.
Cause you're a snowflake.
Oh, actually.
Hey, Shun bun.
All right.
You know what that is?
Yeah.
That's dope.
Cherry blossoms.
Very cool.
And then Nick was wearing.
Okay.
And then I saw Nick was wearing SB dunks.
Jeans and a beeline t-shirt.
Yeah.
Beeline t-shirt.
Hell yeah.
Cause you know, you never know when someone might be like, dude,
you have a shop out in Sankers.
I'm in.
I just get the car shipped out.
Definitely.
I felt pretty dressy.
I know.
I had a conversation with Nick about this after the quail.
And I'm like, dude, what is this?
And he's like, I don't know what, like, well, you know,
it's like, okay to dress up a little bit.
We even talked about like, we actually,
we were talking about like shopping because we were,
he was talking about buying something.
He bought like a sweater.
We actually didn't wear that sweater to the show because it
was hot.
Yeah.
It was a,
that was a concern.
But it was, I mean, I,
I do, I think I would always like,
like I've always liked going to Carmel,
you know, like doing that little stuff.
But I feel you.
I don't worry.
I just think that there was a time where you were more punk
rock.
That's what I was getting at at the beginning.
I was at the top of it and say, maybe he would have gone,
but he would have shown up in Dickies with some high
socks.
There you go, dude.
And like,
never doing that.
But maybe a ripped up shirt or something.
Yeah.
Or maybe a denim jacket with shit pinned to it.
You know,
but also like having never been to the Hamptons myself,
I,
the reputation is sweaters tied around their,
but there was a little sweaters tied around.
It's like red pants.
I learned anything from 80s movies.
Nantucket is what you're thinking here.
Red, red pants.
I think redgar.
I think Nantucket is like a step beyond in the douche
level.
Okay.
And that's in,
that's still in New York.
Nantucket.
Massachusetts.
Yeah.
But,
but there's a Martha's vineyard.
That's Nantucket.
Cause that's like,
it's near Nantucket.
So near there.
Yeah.
But yeah, you, you still,
I don't know.
I feel like it's all Greenwich, you know,
that same sort of,
that's what I'm getting at, I guess,
but not to say there are, you know,
great car people and it sounds like the event was a
success.
They didn't get any weather.
No, it was perfect.
It was like Santa Cruz,
straight up Santa Cruz weather.
Nice.
Exactly what we're doing here.
Nice.
Yeah.
It was really good.
We stayed in Sag Harbor,
which is a really cool neat, nice little town.
Home of Billy Joel, I believe.
Oh, is that where he was from?
Yeah.
Well, I think he's,
I thought he was like more Long Island guy.
He's a big name there now.
Okay.
Like he probably lives out there.
Yeah.
And then we went to the American hotel.
That's where JT got,
he drank before he got arrested for his DUI.
Oh, okay.
And he said,
this is going to ruin the tour.
And the guys are what tour?
Yeah.
Yeah.
They're part of that story.
So yeah, just, it was a,
it was a grand old time.
Saw some of our friends from the West Coast.
Saw Randy from bring a trailer.
Oh, nice.
Talk to him for a while.
Saw Cheyenne from a formerly of Petrolicious.
Petrolicious.
Oh, really?
I got with him for a minute.
What's he up to these days?
He's got his own agency or something.
Yeah, he has his own agency
and he's in New York now.
Cool.
So that was cool to see him.
And then dude,
the most random like meeting of a person was we were walking
in Bridge Hampton.
They do.
So in the town of Bridge Hampton,
the event does a cars and coffee the following day,
which is Sunday morning.
It was a really cool, good cars and coffee.
Like probably like,
like very high tier eclectic group of cars.
That's cool.
Like tons of Landrovers, obviously.
It's like the cars that are out there.
So a lot of convertible stuff,
a lot of bigger Berkeley cars and coffee.
Yes, exactly.
And like, yeah, really good American stuff.
Really, really good.
Like just everything.
And then bring a trailer,
how to tent there and stuff.
But we're walking out of that away from that,
like just on the downtown strip to go grab like coffee and stuff.
And there's this like flower shop.
And there's this, they're like,
they have like donuts out there.
And it looks like maybe they're giving them away
and there's like flowers behind a table
and there's this big dude with a beard there.
And I'm like, I stop and I'm like, hey, Nick,
that looks like Matt Crook giving out flowers.
Yeah.
And I'm like, what's Matt Crook?
And he's like, no, he's like, I don't,
he's like Matt Crook working at a flower shop.
Like, I don't like, I don't know, dude.
Look, if that's not Matt Crook, that's like,
that's his doppelganger dude.
And then we're at, we're just both standing there
and I'm just standing there kind of looking at him.
And he doesn't, I'm just like 30 feet away.
And he's talking to someone and then he looks up
and he's, and he goes, you know, throws his hands up
and I'm like, what?
It is Matt Crook.
It is Matt Crook, dude.
So Matt Crook founder of 1552 wheels.
And so I walk over and I'm like, what are you doing here?
And it was like, I didn't even see,
there was some electric bicycle things front
and he was doing like an activation for the,
for the, these electric bicycles.
So you were just seeing like the backdrop.
So I was seeing the backdrop was at like a flower place
or something like that.
And it really was him.
Yeah.
It really was him.
So bicycles, not motorcycles.
It was like, I think, yeah, it was like electric,
electric bicycle-ish motorcycle things.
I don't even know what they were.
I didn't look at them at all.
Maybe they were motorcycles.
Not vintage electric.
No, it wasn't vintage electric,
but yeah, it was, that was a funny and, you know,
nice.
Yeah.
We were talking about rally stuff.
So yeah, we got to get them out to the classic.
Yes, we do.
Yes.
Yes.
Oh, he's had a creator for Petrolicious now.
That's why they're doing all these videos again.
I didn't know that.
Oh, they were back in action.
Yeah.
They're like back.
They're owned by, they're owned by someone.
DuPont registry.
Oh, okay.
And there's still a thing.
Wow.
Yeah.
I imagine their model has changed.
For sure.
Maybe online.
It used to be kind of a pinnacle.
I feel like it's now the time for a rebrand, you know,
like it's just like you have the audience.
Let's just keep that.
And all you need to do is just new name, right?
I feel like that's all it needs because like the substance is there.
They have the right idea, especially good for you're talking about Petrolicious.
Yeah.
Cause I mean it's so tainted, right?
Like that's, I feel like it's ripe for that.
And then you're ready to roll many because they do good stuff,
especially now with good people behind it.
Yep.
Yeah.
For sure.
Yeah.
It's a good trip.
Rented a Land Rover Defender thing.
New thing.
Nice.
It's totally acceptable vehicle with its flaws because it's British,
but you know.
Yeah.
Good times.
Do you have sand driving on the sand?
We tried.
Dude, that was painful.
We were going to do it on the way out.
So we went all the way out to these like past this like swim club
place.
It's like the most exclusive club in America or some shit.
And then we go down this, you know, to this killer beaches and
we're airing down our tires.
And this guy rolls up.
I see you're into your tires guys.
Don't even bother.
Yeah.
You don't have a pass on your vehicle.
Oh.
Foiled dude.
Dang.
Well, you know, that was probably good timing.
What if you got a fat ticket for China?
Yeah.
Damn.
You should have just pulled.
We can look at it that way or worse timing.
That's true.
You could have had a great time out of there before anyone
came along.
Dang.
Yeah.
In Florida, at least the beaches that we've been around at
Amelia Island.
You don't need anything.
It doesn't seem to be any restrictions.
In fact, you see cars out there that should not be out
there.
It's like, yeah, the minivan with the family.
It's just parked at the beach.
Yeah.
On the beach.
It's kind of a red option, but yeah, it's pretty cool.
I'm always too scared to take our Kia Soul out on the
sand because I think I'm going to get stuck.
Yeah.
And then I don't want to deal with it.
Well, that's the thing.
Like they're telling everyone to air down to 20 PSI.
And it's like, you know, there's a bunch of fishermen.
You know, we asked some dude in the Tacoma who was like airing
down and he was going fishing.
Obviously tons of poles.
We're like, what's the deal?
He's like, oh, they don't seem to be too bad.
You should definitely go.
Nice.
And then that guy.
Dang dude.
Anyways.
Well, there's always next year.
There's always next year.
Did you run into Mr.
Einhorn?
I did.
I didn't run into Jeffrey.
Okay.
Yeah.
I was like, you know, had my head on a swivel
looking for him, but I didn't see him.
Did you do any type of presentation stage like announcements
or anything?
I didn't see anything.
So if you didn't see it or hear it, then it probably didn't
exist.
Yeah.
Interesting.
It's just really, I mean, it's just a party little party
time.
That's interesting.
I don't, yeah, I don't remember seeing anything or hear
where they're like, um, like what is that?
So the layout, it seems like they take over the entire
golf course, right?
Cause the cars were sort of like in a big long line
in rows.
It looked like.
Yeah, pretty much.
I don't know how many holes it is, but it's like,
there's several holes and it's like from the club house
and then, you know, the surrounding like stations
throughout like different like vendors.
Yes.
Yeah, exactly.
So there's like in the main club house, there's like
some food and stuff like that.
And there's a big bar and all that.
And then there's just bars and food vendors all
throughout the like little carts all throughout the
property.
Oh, cool.
Um, so they'll be like, there's like in the sand
there was, you know, like there's the Myros Max and
a couple of other cars and they were doing like, um,
you know, made it like Mexican drinks that like
Margaritas and Palomas, right?
And then there's like something, you know, there was
just little areas everywhere with food and lobster
rolls and, you know, different kind of carts
everywhere, different kinds of food.
It was cool.
It's, and there was never a time.
And then they had the rad thing too.
They have these water bucket, like water stations
everywhere with umbrellas.
And it's like sparkling waters and spin drifts and,
you know, stuff like that in those like,
is it the quail model where it's just like one price
and then you walk in and you have access to everything?
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's all access to everything.
Oh, nice.
Yeah.
And, um, yeah.
I don't think they ever charged anything until
this year to get into the show.
So it was always free, but it was invite only.
Okay.
And this year, because in the past years,
like I had, like last year I had myself and a,
and a person as like, I could get tickets, right?
And it was no, no money, you know, it was free.
This year it was free.
And then I could invite up to four people to go
with me at $1,200 a person.
There you go.
There, there's the model interest.
There's the model.
And what, any, any highlights?
I mean, a lot, how many cars were there?
Dude, I would say it's so hard to like with a, you know,
how it's hard to see, tell, tell how many actual cars there
were, but I would say, I don't know.
I would probably say like 300 cars.
Wow.
350.
Something like that.
Like a lot, I would say a lot more than the quail.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And the, you know, the quail is all like brand activations
now.
This was not that.
It's just cars.
Yeah.
You know, and then they had Volvo as a sponsor,
Maybach and Mercedes.
So there was a couple like Volvos up there and Maybach
and stuff like that, but it wasn't like curated stages
with that kind of stuff.
And yeah, there was just like one new Polestar
wagon or something and that, you know,
a Volvo Polestar wagon and then an old like three,
like an Amazon and an old Volvo convertible,
which I don't even know the number of that,
like really cool, old, old like sixties convertible.
And then, you know, a bunch of new Maybach's and the,
that separate building, there's like the main building
and there's another building adjacent to it.
And that one was like branded Maybach and everything.
Like really like nice, like not just like a,
not just like a shitty cloth sign or something like that.
It was like, like a dealership branding on it,
like really nicely done.
Yeah, like full on like trade show activation kind of like,
like a booth, like where they have the build out.
Yeah.
Exactly.
But it wasn't a build out because it was like a building
that already exists.
Okay.
So they rebrand the whole building as a,
and last year it was Richard Mill,
the watch company and they did the same thing.
That's cool.
Yeah.
It was a, I mean, and then standouts as far as cars.
I mean, there was so much stuff dude.
It's like, yeah.
Yeah.
I mean killer.
I don't know.
Tons of F40s and career.
There was a whole career GT section,
like three career GTs on top of this hill,
which was rad.
And then there were several other ones.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Just tons of cool.
Like, I mean really good stuff.
It's good stuff.
Oh.
She had his,
he has an alpha Julia.
Is it Julia convertible?
How's that?
He had that there.
Yeah.
Little light blue was really cool.
Yeah.
I didn't know it was his when I first saw it.
Is there a parking lot for this place that is impressive as well?
Dude.
Parking lot we're talking.
So the parking lots are not on the property.
They have some parking there like very limited,
but it's bussing in.
Yep.
We're talking like Enzo's.
Yeah.
Like, yeah.
Like GT three is like the normal car.
Right.
You know, or GT three RS or whatever.
And it's like everything you could think of like.
Yeah.
Cool.
Tons of pagodas.
Like, you know, 300 SLs dude.
Like everything you could think of.
Maybe I'm really just a Hamptons person.
The cool thing is to all these cars.
A lot of the cars that were in the show,
I saw just like parked on the street driving around town.
Sure.
The days before, which is cool too.
And like that.
What's that crazy yellow 80s thing?
I think I posted a picture of it.
Venturi.
Venturi dude.
Oh, that was awesome.
Dude, that thing's so rad.
And that guy's just parked in the harbor,
yacht harbor parking, like whatever.
That's the craziest choice for a daily.
It's so crazy.
And we were, Nick was talking to the guy a lot.
And I was like, I walked away, but he was talking.
And that guy is like, yeah, I'm just like,
I used to have this and that.
Now I'm just, I like interesting like different cars.
And then we're next like, oh yeah.
We saw it in the harbor this morning.
He's like, oh yeah.
I have a boat there.
And I was just like, hey, like,
I just kind of stay at my boat.
So I just like parked, you know, so, so, dude.
Venturi.
Yeah.
I can't think of many cars that are more weird and
interesting than that.
They're so cool.
Yeah.
I mean, it's like, they call it like the French F40, right?
Like similar sort of overall design.
Yeah.
The East Coast is so funny because you talk to these guys.
There was a couple, there was this,
we were looking at a car on the street,
like a 356 speedster or something.
And these guys were like, is this yours?
You know, in the new full fucking accent, dude.
I'm like, no.
And they're like, but we're like,
it's probably going to the car show tomorrow.
And they're like, oh, there's a car show.
Hey, Johnny, there's a fucking car show tomorrow.
You know?
Hey, hey.
Oh, look at this.
This guy says this is a special car.
Like they're talking to us and they're like,
they're like pulling in their wives and stuff.
They're like, tell them about the car show.
And then, and it's like this whole thing.
And we're like, oh yeah,
what are you guys doing here?
And they're like, oh, like,
he just got a brand new yacht.
So we all took his yacht from,
they're like from Connecticut.
They're like, we took his yacht from Connecticut here
to like Chris and his yacht.
And it's like, these yachts in the harbor
are like, you're Warren Warren.
You like, oh, I'm really just,
I really like the Hamptons.
Yeah.
I think you would love it.
Cool bar.
Like we did some bar hopping at night, dude.
There's a little dive bar that's like the young,
we were like the old people there.
Oh no.
It's a good scene.
I used to be just biased against the Long Island.
Like just the beaches there,
not the people or anything,
but just like the way that the beaches are,
they're like long beaches,
flat, sand dune kind of scene.
That just didn't appeal to me at all.
But spending time in Florida and stuff,
it's the same idea.
It's pretty nice.
It's pretty nice.
It's fine.
They're smaller beaches.
But the water gets warm too.
Yeah.
At a certain point.
Yeah.
I know winter is probably pretty quiet out there.
Like no one,
all the wealthy people get out.
Even right now,
it's after Labor Day kind of like, you know,
I think this is probably like the end of it, right?
Yeah.
But they had some festivals.
They had like a harbor festival going on
in the town we stayed at and art festival.
So it was like, it was lively.
Yeah.
Like really good weather.
If the weather is that good,
like that's where you're trying to nail.
Killer food everywhere,
like really good food.
That's cool.
And then coffee scene, isn't that great?
But like the foods, you know,
it's like it's like a lot of kind of like basic coffee.
Folgers.
And everyone was very,
everyone's like incredibly nice,
which is kind of the opposite of like going into Manhattan
or something where everyone's kind of looking down.
They're just on a mission there.
It's like they're all on vacation or after vacation homes
and they're just like happy.
So it's like they want to talk.
They want to, you know,
they just want to interact and everything.
Everyone's on vacation.
Yeah.
Everyone's on vacation.
That's a nice place to be.
Everyone's having fun.
Like everybody's at the coffee shop here or something.
And it says smile.
You're in Santa Cruz.
Yeah.
Yeah, it's the same vibe.
I mean, this is definitely,
it's like a destination and usually what,
like everybody has their second home there, right?
It's not a usually primary residence kind of vibe.
Yeah.
And it's so like concentrated.
Well, it's such concentrated wealth.
I don't think we have this anywhere around the West Coast
where it's that concentrated.
Really?
Yeah.
All these, like it is like.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like that's town we stayed at was, I mean,
sorry, the house we stayed at was on the main road,
but it was like half a mile up out of town.
Easy walk into town.
So we never drove or anything.
But old Victorian home, like we're talking like,
you feel like you're going to fall through the floors
when you're walking.
Yeah.
Right.
Like little two bedroom place
with the weirdest stairs case.
Narrow.
Like narrow stair going up to the second bedroom up top.
It's like tiny little house.
Sounds like something we would have rented for Radwood
like 10 years ago.
Yes.
And this is a, this is like a cheap home there at like
three and a half million.
Yeah.
And then houses are basically three to 25 million is the
house range.
Yeah.
And some of the houses are so fricking rad, dude.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
I've dabbled on Zillow out there.
It's, it's a whole different world.
Yeah.
It's cool.
And you could, you can definitely see the angle,
especially if you're a New York person, like that is
dude where you'd want to kind of have a location spot.
And then it seems like a lot of people are, you know,
probably post COVID thing,
but they're like moving out there more full time.
Like maybe they can get away in the city here and there.
You can get away with living out there.
Yeah.
And then they might dip in the city for a week or two,
go back.
Any Seinfeld spotting.
Dude, he was there.
I didn't see him.
Oh, too bad.
Yeah.
And then, oh,
LL Cool J walking around just jacked his all hell.
He looks like Barry Bonds and Barry Bonds is prime.
Dude, that's how big the guy is.
Whoa.
Wow.
And then Russell Simmons.
Okay.
And then Reverend run.
Oh.
And they were, they were all hanging out to get those three
were like walking around together.
Nice.
That's cool.
So that was pretty good.
That's good.
Yeah.
We'll see.
Nice dude.
Yeah.
I was more stuck to see Randy from bring a trailer though
and Matt crook.
Yeah.
That's, that's awesome.
Well, I went to the Capitol art and wine festival.
I don't want to brag.
Sick.
And another vacation situation, right?
I haven't been in a million years,
but surprisingly,
I might have to add this to the car spotting list.
Capitol village.
Oh yeah.
They cruise through.
246 GTS Dino.
Oh, nice.
What's his name?
Smackies or whatever that guy's name is.
Zip dog.
Zippy or something.
Right.
Ziggy.
What else did I see?
I can't remember now a bunch of bunches of stuff though,
but I was kind of waiting for some folks and friends are joining
us and I just sat there by the bridge.
Yeah.
And it was like a good little scene.
Oh, right.
It was a good scene.
So that's cool.
I'll add that to the list when we get on the official
driving along some car spotting tour.
A lot of mermaid art.
Oh,
a lot of hummingbird stuff.
You buy any?
Hell no.
It's like 1% of the booths are even worth looking at.
Yeah.
How about dude?
When's the last time you guys bought some,
just general landscape photography printed on metal,
shiny metal.
Oh, all the time dude.
Or maybe like some driftwood with a couple of succulents in it.
Sick dude.
Art.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So where was the,
would they have a lot of jazz going on?
They had a Santana cover band.
Did they really?
Okay.
That's what I heard.
I don't know.
I might have had other jazz.
It's a two day festival and it's,
the whole village is closed down and part of it.
It's kind of cool to walk around and just like people watching
stuff like that.
But man, the art is so heavy.
It would be fun to go with you, Lane,
or someone just to heckle these people,
you know,
so we kind of walked through this art festival in Sag Harbor.
Same kind of deal.
And we just walked by on the sidewalk,
but the same deal dude.
You're like, okay.
Like who is buying that dude?
It's sad too,
because it's their whole personality and life is this type
of art,
which is like literally a poorly shaped surfboard profile
with the license plate letter signs where they cut the letters
of each state license plate or like to the beach.
Yeah.
You know, the beach,
the beach that way and it's like why someone has a vacation
home with that in it.
I think it's literally like it should be rebranded as the Air
BNB wall association wall art association.
Cause that's the type of stuff that you're finding at a rental
and someone has to make it and they do.
Yeah.
They do.
Oh dude.
The one where we parked like it wasn't even adjacent,
but off the property dude.
The parking,
the place we parked was insane dude.
It was like some artists like owns this area and they had
horses and stuff,
but it was just art installations everywhere like outdoor
large,
huge metal fricking balls sculptures that are like 20 feet
tall.
Like,
Oh, I know that one.
These nuts.
These nuts.
It was these nuts dude.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was,
it was wild dude.
I think art's pretty big out there.
It's like,
you have either,
you have rich people and then you have these artists
that are,
I mean this is like,
and they're selling for these big homes.
They're selling this X tier,
these big installations for these.
This is the ecosystem right there.
Yeah.
You go to any of these like small little like wealthy towns,
Aspen, Santa Fe,
Carmel, right?
Carmel, Santa Barbara.
It's like,
there's the artists and then there's the really wealthy
people and they like try to do the dance.
Yeah.
I mean,
and it's usually a place where galleries somehow
survive, right?
Like you go into galleries and they're,
they're always full.
There's five galleries in Carmel on this little
street.
Dude.
Yeah.
How are you guys making this happen?
Yeah.
They sell one painting,
a quarter and that's all they need.
Yeah.
They did it.
We got a couple of questions.
A couple.
I think we posted kind of late.
Oh, by the way,
did you see Mr.
Polestar guy over here?
The new,
Polestar four.
Oh no,
five.
I'm sorry.
Polestar five.
It's a really good looking,
kind of sleek.
Oh yeah.
That looks really good.
It does not have a rear window.
Oh yeah.
I saw that.
Another one without a rear window.
Really?
Yeah.
It's weird looking at us though.
That looks good.
Really good.
They're so dialed.
So yeah,
they made it like an SCV type one,
like maybe the Polestar four or three.
Yeah.
But that looks incredible.
That looks incredible.
Pretty nice.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They just announced it,
but no back window.
So weird,
which I just think is the dumbest thing.
So it just has,
I think it still has a rear view mirror
and it's just literally a camera.
Yeah.
That'll never fail.
I know.
It'll never fail.
Yeah.
Something won't get on the camera
and distort the vision.
You know how it is.
Every car you drive,
it's like, oh,
the backup camera is still on
or it's not on yet.
Right?
It's like,
there's always that kind of stuff.
Sensors,
you know,
the camera is blocked by something.
And it's not like they don't have room
for a window.
No,
I know.
That's the weird part.
You're literally doing it for design.
Like,
I wonder if there's another reason.
What could be the reason?
I don't know,
but what's the reason to not have it?
I mean,
cost,
glass,
everything and stuff.
We've been making cars here with windows
for a long time.
It feels like
really dumb.
I don't like it.
I don't.
Strange.
Very strange.
But the car is fantastic.
So what is the,
there's another one though, right?
That is like a little shooting break thing,
or is that the one that you're talking about?
No,
you're right.
That's the one I was thinking of.
The shooting break one has no rear window.
Okay.
Because I saw one,
yeah,
I saw one like a week ago and I'm like,
dude,
I kind of like,
it's like a replacement and I want it to be small.
It has to be a hatchback.
I don't care about four doors anymore.
Like as much, right?
Like, I mean,
but it's typically this type of stuff.
Yeah.
This is like a big,
this is almost like a pull star one.
Oh,
okay.
Like a big sedan thing.
Yeah,
really low roof thing.
I haven't seen it.
Yeah,
it just came out last week.
I think they announced it.
All right.
Yeah,
it looks like a super high.
It'll be expensive.
I bet it's more of like a hundred.
Okay.
I'm holding out.
I mean,
my dream,
my dream e-golf replacement vehicles,
the R three X.
Remember that they teased,
which was like a delta and to growl a kind of like,
oh yeah,
it's sort of like EV thing.
And I feel like that would be awesome.
I mean,
it's like super sporty.
It looks killer.
It's a hatchback.
It's a little bit bigger than the e-golf,
but like still small.
Like I don't want a big ass car and like,
no,
it's so funny.
You know what?
That thing is cool.
Why was it?
I was wondering like,
is it real?
Is it really going to happen?
Like quail.
Yeah.
Quail had a booth, a Rivian booth,
and they just had like your normal ass Rivians.
Like everyone knows about.
It's like,
all right.
Yeah.
They had the three, too.
There was the standard R three,
which is basically the same idea.
And then they had the X,
which was like the performance.
The X was the cool one.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Dude,
you got to get a Mazda MX 30.
Oh,
those are,
those are interesting.
Yeah.
Like the front end,
I think it has even less range than my e-golf though,
which is annoying.
They basically discontinued it immediately.
Cool little car.
If it had longer range,
like it definitely would be a compelling one.
And it's, you know,
a nice little well-built thing.
Oh yeah.
Those are good.
They're killer.
I mean,
it is a more off-roady type of thing,
but for a daily driver,
especially, you know,
just rip it around town.
Yeah.
Why do you want,
those look dope though.
Throw some like,
throw some like cool wheels on it.
Like multi-spoke with like,
yeah,
I mean,
good luck finding one.
Mazda's good design.
This is the MX 30
for the listeners.
I finally saw a Toyota Crown
wagon in person.
Oh,
they're so good.
Such a nice looking car.
Signia.
Yeah.
They're really good.
They make a wagon?
Yeah.
I've recommended to a few people
that I couldn't get them to buy in
because it's just such a weird
like choice.
Like they're like,
what a crown?
Signia.
I didn't know they made a wagon.
Dude,
it's so cool.
And it's really,
I mean,
it looks really,
really nice.
Like it looks luxurious enough.
You know,
it's not,
good size,
not too big.
Dude,
and they get 40,
like almost 40 MPGs.
They're,
they're kind of like,
very sporty.
Yeah.
I mean,
it's,
you know,
it's very Toyota,
but yeah,
37 miles per gallon,
I think.
And
nice Lexus quality interior
to that level.
I don't know.
Cool option for sure.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They've got some,
some angles and you never see
them.
I mean,
you could see like with the
right wheel.
Yeah.
I get hammered
by the same Toyota add every
Giants game over and over and
over.
And it's,
they talk about that.
Okay.
Andrew likes to call it the
Sigma.
So if you have a
Sigma,
it's like,
it's a Sigma.
I get Signia and he goes,
no,
it's Sigma.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's Sigma.
Good or bad.
I don't know.
No one knows.
Yeah.
Yeah.
All right.
Question time.
Uh,
Zephyr J says rally's coming up
soon.
Any cars you guys are stoked to
see on the rally?
Any dropouts that you're bummed
about?
I forgot.
I forget what cars are going.
I forgot about the rally.
I also forgot.
Of course.
Auto kennel,
man.
That's the,
that's the one we're
missing.
The drop,
the dropout.
Well,
he didn't sign up.
Early on,
remember he said,
sorry guys.
Like he was,
he really wanted to come
first to sign up and he is not
able to make it.
Shout out to Paul.
Auto kennel.
He's making a
recovery from his cancer
surgery and we wish him
all the best.
He will,
we'll definitely drink to you,
Paul.
I ordered an extra shirt for him.
Oh,
awesome.
I love that.
Although we can't really give
it to him as part of the rules.
We can break the rules.
The rules,
bro.
Broke the mouth.
You know the rules.
Um,
I also know of somebody who
made a car switch.
I don't know if I shared it with
you.
I'll tell you guys offline because
I don't want to, you know,
put them on blast as the kids
say.
Little disappointing.
He has an older,
uh,
80s car and he has a pretty
lengthy transit to get to the
start of the rally and to get
back.
And it was like,
you can't tell us what the
car is.
No,
because you'll know,
you'll know immediately what it
is.
Is that bad to know?
Well,
because then other people might
know.
So anyways,
I wanted to go over some rally stuff
with you guys anyway.
So hopefully we could hang on after
the call and go over some things.
But, uh,
that was a little bum.
He,
he rented a car on Turro,
which is totally acceptable and a
good choice.
But it was just like,
oh man,
I was kind of like hoping,
hoping to make it happen.
Yeah.
And then there are going to be
other people with similar cars
that are like, well,
dude,
I did it.
But,
you know,
here we are.
Yeah.
Oh,
I think I know who it is.
Anyways,
there's a,
dude,
there's some other stuff.
Wasn't there like a
Lotus or something?
Oh,
what about
seeing a K Swap D 30 back there
and the glorious Sierra
just like hair
blowing in the wind.
Yeah.
K Swaps.
No, I mean,
you mean,
Volkswagen 337,
it's ready to go.
Yeah.
We,
I saw a K Swap C5 Corvette.
Does this ring a bell to you?
The turbo one?
Maybe, yeah.
That's
crazy.
I know.
Crazy.
I saw a very short,
like real on Instagram of them
talking about it.
They never showed the engine bay
and then
they have them ripping through,
like going up
to Newcombe's or something
through the tunnels.
And it's like the most
absurd
wine out,
like just scream
engine,
you know,
that Corvette would never
sound like that.
Cause I don't think,
you probably don't even lose
that much weight.
No.
I mean,
not for the power you're losing.
Well, then again,
it's turbocharged.
So I don't know Art,
you tell me,
is that like,
yeah,
they can make insane power
at forced induction.
I mean,
800 horsepower is pretty
standard these days
with those motors.
And yeah,
it's,
it's crazy.
So what's his name
did it on that Ferrari
308,
right?
Stanceworks.
Yeah.
But he's also gone through
like three engines.
He's gone like really extreme.
And I think you're like 600
horsepower or something.
I think I think he's going,
but he's also using a K 20.
I think,
but he,
I don't know.
He's having weird issues
like,
like drop valves and just,
yeah,
exactly.
But
blasting.
I mean,
yeah,
they're like known,
especially for on the drag
racing scene,
like those guys,
they go nuts with forced
induction and like they
reliably quote unquote,
reliably will pump out 800
horsepower.
And there are definitely a
thousand horsepower build out
there. So
definitely not where I want to
go with my car.
Like I mean,
so often,
like whenever I post the car,
it's like,
what are you going to turbo?
What are you turbo?
And like,
I'm not trying to build a drift
car.
You know,
like I know people who
don't realize like E 30s
have really like limited
rear traction like there
because you can't put a
lot of tire and also
there.
It's a super archaic rear
suspension.
So like
they don't have like really
good road holding.
So like,
if you want to slide around
everywhere,
like package where I can go
like, you know,
wide open throttle a lot
regularly.
I want to red line the car
and enjoy it and have it not be
like, you know, all over the
place.
Yeah.
And you probably rather have,
you'd probably rather have like
good throttle response and all
this kind of like this kind of
like stuff analogness and
feel than having power.
Right.
Just power.
Yeah.
Totally.
It's the whole experience.
Yeah.
It's like,
and winding out a fun little
dual overhead camp porcelain
as well too.
And like I want to be able to do
that.
That's the whole thing.
The part of the enjoyment is
being able to wind the car out
right regularly.
And instead of like having to
be like pussy footing around
and like partial throttle,
it's like that's the whole
thing.
You know,
but yeah, it's a weird thing
to change the character of a
C five Corvette that far.
I know.
What's the worst car to
case?
Well, what's the most
extreme like what's most
extreme?
I'm just thinking of heavy
cars.
Like I think of Bugatti
Veyron.
Yeah.
What about a
truck?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Anything really?
Anything that needs torque.
Yeah.
A truck.
Anything needs torque.
That's that's it.
Like just yeah.
You're constantly torque,
but you get it going.
I mean, I mean, but they
not low end torque.
There's no low end torque
there, right?
Yeah.
It's not.
I mean, it's a trip.
I am not offended by the
nine elevens though.
People get super like hurt
about that.
Like especially nine nine
sixes.
Like it's like become a
thing too.
Like swapping nine nine
sixes.
Obviously.
Well, that's a cost thing,
dude.
That makes sense, right?
I think like, oh,
replacement engine is 20 K.
It's going to be that's
just for the motor.
Then you got to install it
and make sure it all, you
know, or let's say it's
even 10 grand for a used
engine.
That's probably going to blow
up again.
So it's like, yeah,
that makes sense.
I love that.
I love like the light
car option.
Like what you're doing with
the 30 is so cool because
you're saving weight and
putting it in it like back
in the engine bay.
And it's like changing that.
The light weightness of it.
You're adding, adding
lightness and it's
and it's really sort of the
same as an 30 M three.
Right.
That's it's the same
concept, but lighter.
So because I mean more
powerful.
Yeah.
Lighter and more powerful,
but essentially the same
concept, right?
Because it's it's that
front midship kind of set
up with high revving
four cylinder.
Yeah.
Yeah, I think, you know,
down the line,
I still like think about it
often.
I'm not going to obviously
we're trying to get the car
back on the road here
but.
It's expensive as hell,
but I do want to it be this
engine.
It sounds amazing and like
the throttle response is
epic and like it looks really
cool and it looks really
cool.
That's taking it to that
next level, but like it's
just the S 14
reminded me of it because
you know S 14's have
individual throttle bodies
or as this doesn't.
So
but yeah, that that
induction sound of a dual
overhead cam like K 20 or
any sort of V tech
like four cylinder with
itb sounds insane.
Yeah.
We'll see how muffled it is.
You know, we're going to throw
that muffler on there.
Yeah.
And I don't know.
I mean, yeah,
Nick's seems to think that it
might not do that much.
So we're definitely going to
do the cat.
It has that long resonator
in the middle,
which I would rather
replace with an inline
muffler.
You know, just a
glass pack or something.
Yeah.
I mean, I just don't.
I mean, I don't really
care.
I'm losing some flow
and maybe a little bit of power
here and there.
But like, I mean,
I want to hear what's going on
up front.
You use the car a lot.
I mean, in theory,
like on a rally,
you're going to put a thousand
miles on it and be in it,
you know, a ton.
So why not make it enjoyable?
It's like saying people are
like, I'm going to take
the stereo out of my car
and you're like, why,
dude, if you're going to
use your car,
you want a stereo.
Yeah, there is
someone online makes
those like,
you know,
delete plaques or, you know,
like that, that like panel
that goes over the.
It's like a filler plate
stereo block off or whatever.
Yeah, filler plate and they
engrave them with
custom messages and one of
them is like in this car,
we listen to the motor or
some stupid shit.
So dumb, dude.
So dumb, dude.
It's like the left love
of cars.
Dude, it's like the three
best things when I get a
new car, it's like you
make the stereo so you can
use Bluetooth and plug in your
phone and charge your phone
and everything with it.
You add a cup holder
and you add a phone
mount.
Yeah, like if you just,
you want those things, dude.
Nice to have.
It's nice to have.
You need to get directions.
You want to have your
phone there.
If you want to play music,
if you use your car,
like really use it.
You want it to do things
like that.
Yeah. Yeah.
It makes sense.
Zephyr J was also asking
about like,
or he was asking dropouts.
We really haven't had any.
So there's no surprisingly
dropouts.
Yeah.
Jacob Torres,
six belated congratulations
on the 900th episode.
Jacob, you're awesome.
Thank you.
Thank you very much.
We were,
we had a big party over here,
but we'll have you next time.
As we ride this highway,
we call life.
Sometimes we see paradise
by the dashboard light
in our 409 swap,
little red Corvette
struggling to drive 55.
So I ask Jacob,
what's your favorite automotive
themed song?
Oh gosh,
this is a tricky one.
Beach Boys does a lot of them.
Red Barcada.
I love Red Barcada.
That's why we've mentioned that
one before.
That's a rad song.
Oh, Prince,
little red Corvette.
That's good.
I'm thinking of there.
Beach Boys has a lot,
like 32,
you know, do scoot or whatever.
Yeah, exactly.
Driving to the beach with your
girl.
What's the other one like
Dan and Dave or Stan and
whatever.
Slopey Hang on.
Is that one?
Any of those beach surf rock
bands have a song about a car
for sure.
Little Red Corvette's really good.
It's really good.
It's just a really good song.
It is also that and Red Barcada.
Hey, red, right?
And you got Panama.
You got
ZZ Top have some.
I'm spacing on the name.
I mentioned Cass is dead before
the British rapper.
He has a bunch of really good ones.
And that's more contemporary,
but
it's this one.
Step Tronic about Nellie.
Nellie is my Porsche.
That's probably one of the worst.
Rap is good.
There's so many.
I mean, acting up by Cass is dead.
No one knows that song.
Let's think of one's people.
I should have heard.
Yeah.
Unfortunately, the name Step Tronic
is sad because,
you know, it sounds stupid
because it's an automatic,
but it's actually,
he talks about his 944 and
and it's got pilot super sports on it
and he talks about his Jordan,
you know, kicks and like it's
now Jacob says automotive themed,
but there are songs that mention cars
that are also awesome.
Oh, true.
You know, there's a lot of
biggie Smalls.
Thanks to rap stuff.
Sure.
Mix a lot.
You got tests.
You got.
That's right.
Where's the hoopty one?
Shit.
We just talked about a less way.
Yeah.
That's a good one.
We just talked about this last week
with that far side song where he mentions
like he's going to pick her up in a Z.
You know, there's a ton of references to songs.
Dude, I do feel like we're missing
some real classic rock like
and easy top has to have some stuff.
Right.
Like, I mean, they were everything was
easy top 5.0 and
Oh, yeah.
But see, that's not about the car.
It's a theme song.
Oh, where's the cars that are mentioned?
Yeah, absolutely.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Rolling in my six four.
That's pretty sick.
We'll get back to it.
Yeah.
Red Corvette and red barcada are up there though.
Yeah.
Little red Corvette.
That's going to be.
It's hard to beat.
I love red barcada though.
It's like talking about like going.
It's like in the future.
The whole theme of that song is great, dude.
Who sings that?
It's a rush.
Dude, Lane.
Lane posted some square pusher as
background red hot car.
I wanted to saw one of the posts.
What?
Square pusher.
I did it for you, dude.
Dude, I was so stoked.
I don't think we ever talked about this on the pod,
but when I made that birthday post for you
and you're in Senna's car,
I put that math rock song on.
Yeah.
I don't know what the fuck that was.
That was horrible.
It was crazy, but it also worked perfectly.
Somehow it was like epitome.
It was.
Yeah.
You had every, every flatulent noise
and fucking like fucking.
Like I don't know.
What kind of weird shit going on?
Had that snoring like meme sound or whatever.
Yeah, dude.
That was fucking funny.
All right.
Ben Roget is asking what's the worst venue for a car show?
Parking lot, a flat parking lot and a big parking lot with
like a mall parking lot.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
A mall parking lot can have some trees.
Maybe a target parking lot or something.
Parking lot.
I think no foliage is the key.
Yeah.
Just really bad.
Like with nothing features to backdrop it at all.
With nothing to separate the cars.
That's not good.
That is not great.
We also have seen like just fields and that's okay.
Like flat field.
It's better than a parking lot, but it's not great.
Golf courses also aren't always great.
They can work really well like the Hamptons or like the quail
because there's like a lot of interesting backdrops to it.
But sometimes you'll see a golf course show where it's just.
Quail is actually not like the best.
I do like that.
It has the mountains in the back.
You're on the other side though.
You have those houses, which is annoying.
Oh, right.
Kind of a gross fence actually.
Not a nice fence.
They put up a chain link with scrim.
It is like, it is a chain link with scrim.
I think it's not great, dude.
Walmart parking lot to get up and watch because you know,
they don't have no foliage and it's,
and it's just like the most and like just gross commercial,
like, you know, like nothing like featureless sort of.
Yeah.
You would think a parking garage would be terrible,
but it actually has enough industrial vibe to it to work
cool lines and you get good lighting.
If it's not too dark in there,
like it's a good kind of use light.
There's some good ones that have like really good
LED lighting now that create even like a pretty cool like
environment and you have to cool lighting situations
and you can have better lighting situations like different
lights like blasting through and then shadows and stuff like
that.
Kind of like that.
Just industrial concrete piping and kind of look behind it
and yeah, that can be cool.
It can be all right.
It's why all these people do photo shoots in parking.
Yeah, I know it's just a,
you can control the environment.
Yeah, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
I like it.
Bobby Reed with the cars.
Last question.
What's the best drive you've had in someone else's car?
I've had so many.
Oh, I've had a ton.
I mean, yeah, I've had a lot.
I mean, art's thrown me the keys to NSX.
That was, I had some good drives.
That was like an early,
a half day rally vibe that we had fun on.
I had a good drive in your Celica also on a rally.
We'd ripped highway one, the,
that good section of Northern highway one in California.
Yeah.
That was a fun one.
I've again, our friend again,
it was really generous and giving us keys to all of his cars
basically.
And I had a,
I think you had a 1987 club sport 911 and I had a really
great drive over highway nine by myself.
I mean, there's,
that's just the ones that come to mind right now,
but I've,
we've had press cars and all sorts of other stuff.
I mean,
I had that M five competition on an entire Sierra rally,
which was epic.
It's not the car I would have chosen,
but there were stretches of road that were like,
Holy shit.
This car is awesome.
Mainly that like fast sweepers stuff that it just does so well.
Yeah.
Gens MFI Carrera.
I had a good run in that.
I remember a specific one.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Gens,
Gens was the source of our source of like excellent kind of
enthusiast vehicles.
And he was very generous and I mean,
continues to be,
he says whenever we're in town down there to hit him up and
he's always looking for a,
as he calls it a dance partner to go play because he's got,
you know, a few cars at all times,
but I'd say one of the more memorable ones is his F three
fifty five.
He gave me,
when he first got it,
he gave it to me for two weeks to kind of shake it down
and I got to drive all of our favorite roads in that car.
And as you guys know,
and most people who listen to the show know that that's one
of my favorite cars and I had an absolute blast in it.
It was,
it was awesome to experience it and to also drive exactly
where I wanted to use it and at will,
which was pretty epic.
I also drove it on Sonoma Raceway and I got around there.
That was fun,
but that's a big one for me just because of like the history
and like it's one of those bucket list cars for me.
I've mentioned also that one of my favorite driving
experiences overall,
which is probably super bothersome to some,
but the nine six four turbo s two that he also threw the keys
for two and I think more.
Yeah.
Warren drove it to it in that car.
That's the same day.
Yeah.
It's pretty, pretty special.
I had it a second time and I got to drive it also on,
you know,
Skyline eighty four ninety two and that's a super fun car
and that's,
you know,
and I say that it's annoying because it's,
it's a full on like homologated race car for the street
and has like a shit,
shit, shit, shit ton of turbo lag.
Like we're talking about zero,
like maybe 90 horsepower up until four grand and then four hundred
horsepower all at once and make for a super fun experience
and that car was super memorable for that reason along those
same lines.
Like yeah,
this is just becoming a again love letter,
but M three E thirty M three Evo Sporty William,
which is still like,
I would say one of the best driving cars I've ever driven,
just so pure.
And I was the same day that you drove that.
We all drove the S two and the 93 turbo,
but yeah,
there's,
there's a lot.
Those are just the ones that like off the top of my head.
I've driven a lot of cars from like my old shop days
too,
which weren't like in full,
you know,
spirited drives,
but experiencing that stuff.
And we have pretty fun little test loop for work here
in Santa Cruz that get back into the twisties real quick
and have some fun.
So yeah,
it's good times.
Good times.
If anyone wants to throw a skis,
you know,
feel free,
shouts out.
Dude,
what about the old?
What was the nickname for?
Dude,
I'm totally spacing right now in the car's name,
the white.
Oh my God,
sorry,
I'm totally brain party move on.
You'll come back to long hood.
Long hood.
Long hoods.
I've heard of them.
I like long heads,
long legs.
Daddy long legs.
Daddy long legs or no,
it's actually it's a seller spider.
Do you guys believe that Daddy long legs
are the most poisonous?
Oh yeah,
supposedly the most venomous.
They just have their mouths are too tiny bite.
Is that real?
Right?
I've always heard that.
Do you believe it?
What's that?
Do you believe it?
I believe it.
I mean, it's like they just can't physically bite us,
right?
But they don't I've never had one attempt to even bite me.
Like I grab them all the time and they just kind of
cruise around on your hand.
And that's what I'm saying.
Dude, I'm thinking of Sean's car, the white one.
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I had a bunch of fun drives in that car.
That car was pretty, pretty sick.
Yeah, I drove.
I drove that one.
It was fun.
It had a name.
Oh, did it?
Yeah.
I just know he paint.
He had it painted blue and then it was totaled.
Yeah, that was horrible.
Yeah, as soon as you got it back to right.
Yeah,
it's no bueno.
Well, we got rally coming up here.
October.
Actually, stop.
Hold on.
Wait a second.
When you hear this.
Cats cars at the station Detroit to Michigan art.
And I will be there this weekend.
Friday and Saturday.
Radwood display at Michigan Central Station,
which is a Ford property.
It's been a billion dollars restoring a train station.
Crazy.
Which you kind of look at it.
You're like, yeah, that that makes sense.
Actually,
so that's a cool event.
Cars or what are we looking at?
Like 500 other cars.
It's free to attend.
Oh, it's free to bring a car.
But I think registration is probably closed now.
Right along this food, beer,
garden, et cetera, come out and say hello.
That's Friday and Saturday.
And then we got the rally.

a 1999 or older car and come and hang with us.
Those tickets will be,
well, at least we'll have a save the date going out
very soon.
And then we got Radwood so Cal October 25th,
San Pedro.
It's going to be a lot of fun.
DJ DP in the mix.
You might even see a Lane Skelton.
I'm not going to be there.
Lane Skelton won't be there and we'll be there.
And then is this a Dante move?
And then no, cause he, Dante is going to be with me.
Oh yeah. They're going to Japan.
Oh, yeah.
Talk about that.
Yeah. That's the day.
It's the day I get back from Hapong.
November 15th, Radwood, Austin,
circuit of the Americas tickets on sale now.
That's all I got.
Oh, and morning motors.
September 28th.
Yep.
Morning motors following.
And then a beeline open house directly after that.
Do people need to sign up for the open house or how does that
work?
There is a sign up for the open house.
It's in the be lines profile.
Okay.
Go to be line on the old Instagram.
Right.
You can also just come over.
Just come over.
Just come over dude.
Don't worry about it.
Dang.
So I'm not going to be there.
I would love to come up and I will be at the
Peterson Automotive Museum.
We're going to have a little eight car Radwood display as part
of the celebration.
It's I think at the 50th anniversary of the three series
BMW.
Interesting.
Peterson on that day.
So I'll be there.
Swing by some Radwood.
50th anniversary of the three series.
Yeah.
That's amazing.
No weld.
Amazing.
Yeah.
Cause it's yeah.
E 21.
Yeah.
I know we should get,
you should get old Phillips card on there.
Yeah.
He's got a nice C 21.
I've seen maybe.
That'd be rad.
I love that.
If he put Euro bumpers on that.
Oh, he did.
Oh no.
If he did.
Yeah.
But it's almost like.
Yeah.
It's almost too nice.
Like as it is.
It's like the nicest example of what.
What it is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
I mean,
and some people really like those.
Like they like that look as it is, but.
I don't know if he feels that way.
All right.
Ready for some trivia.
I'm always ready.
Let's go.
Trivia time.
This trivia comes from our friend,
out in the UK.
Foggy old London.
Is that what they call it?
I'm just kidding.
I think you might be on Wales.
Anyways,
we hung out with them.
Yeah.
We were out there.
No, it's great.
This trivia is called service station or cheese.
This is a list of.
Words.
Yeah.
that are either a service station, I like a turn out a pull out a place to pull on the
side of the road. What have you or a cheese? I'm already thinking like town, like Manchester.
You're like, that could be a cheese. All right, let's start. This is 10. We got 10 of
them here. Number one, peas, potage, peas, potage. That, that has to be a turn out
art. I'm going to go cheese. Lane. That's one for Lane. Yeah. Peas, potage is a service
station on the M 23 near Crawley, as we all know. Number two, Duttles swell. Duttles swell
is a cheese. Dang service station. Lane. Dang. Duttles swell is a sheep's cheese,
as we all know. Number three, Rivington. That's a service station. Cheese. Lane. Rivington
is a service station on the M 61 near Bolton. Okay. Number four, kiddo tin ash. No, that's
a cheese. That's a cheese. That's right. You guys got it. It's a silky smooth goats
cheese. Okay. Number five, Shevington. Cheese. That sounds like a cheese. Cow's milk cheese.
You are correct. Number six, Millstone. That's a service station or whatever. Turn out wrong.
That's my first one. You're five for five. Millstone is a hard use milk cheese. It's
a female sheep. Correct. I mean, shit. If it's Millstone, it's got to be hard, right?
That's true. Hard is a rock. It's a teeth cheese. All right. Number seven, Anandale. That
sounds like it. Ah, shit. It could be either. Service station. I'm going to say cheese
then. Art. Yeah. Anandale water is a large service station on the A 74 M near
Carlisle. And number eight, Baldock. Baldock. I'm going to go cheese. Service station. Art.
What the hell? Service station on the A1 near Stevenage. It's near Stevenage. Number nine,
Cotterstone. Cheese. Because it has stone in the name. All right. I'll go with cheese, too.
He's had a great reasoning because you're correct. Yes. Cotterstone is a cheese from Durham. And
last but not least, Gloucester. That's definitely a service station. I'll go cheese. Gloucester
is a cruel trick because it's both a cheese and a service station on the M five. Gloucester,
Barry. And you are welcome. That was good. You rock. Thanks for being a listener. If you,
if any listener has trivia, you can DM me at viewology on the old Instagram. Dude,
you have a lot to live up to though. That's it. That was really good. Well,
he just sent me a link, but yeah, I do appreciate it though very much. And
I'm always looking for interesting. I thought he made the whole thing himself. Oh man, that would
be pure. Maybe he did, but I sent you a file of pictures of each service. I mean, I sent them.
Do you remember the one that I sent you guys? It was like, it was like pub names,
like witches, tit or something and stuff. And so he then followed up with like a whole laundry
list of like just crazy ass names. And I don't know how you would make that one into one.
I guess it would have to be, you know, he would have to be, you know what it could be?
You could do because I've been talking to Dante about his bands. He goes and sees
you could do like metal punk, a band or pub or pub, piss fingers. Yeah. Yeah.
Devil's butthole. Yeah. That's probably a pub. Yeah. Yeah.
Well, we met a really famous race car driver who I didn't know. So I guess she's not that
famous, but Catherine Leggy, the name and she's the name from you. Then I look into it and she's
like full indie NASCAR races for everyone GM, GM driver and she grew up next to Goodwood,
the circuit, which we obviously stayed at and did a show. And I was like, Oh,
do you know that there's a really cool pub there? The Fox goes free. It's so awesome.
She's like, yeah, I know. It was the most like, well, it's been there since 1510, dude.
Yeah, I know. I'm like, Oh, it is such an awesome place. I can't wait to get back.
Warren, that's like, that's like, um, it's like they're crows nest, dude. It's not even that
big of a deal. Oh, crows nest, crows nest 944. You have to duck to get into the door,
dude. I know. Awesome. That's podcast. Thank you for joining us. We'll see you next time.
