Guys I'll be honest I'm like feeling a tad like nauseous right now from the pregnancy
so I'm gonna power through but I don't feel very good so I apologize if I don't sound
very chipper but I'm hoping and once we get talking I'll like forget about the nausea.
We have so much to discuss today and I think first of all like what a great segue into
like what I mean we're just gonna jump right in today because like we literally have so
much to get to and like when I tell you later in the episode the kind of day I have you're
gonna understand why I'm making haste on this intro because like the latest thing besides
our content with Merrick which we'll talk about later.
The latest thing to take the internet by storm is all of the I don't even know if I'd use
the word hate all of the people like poking fun maybe comparing Danny Austin's natural
birth to their natural birth and if you're not I think she posted on Instagram but like
it's really taken off on TikTok up like because she had a natural birth and it was very intense.
Danny Austin posted a three part series of her unmedicated birth and it was a traumatic
birth some might say it was an intense birth it was an unmedicated birth like and Danny
is very much the type to just like post literally everything on the internet's like you really
see all of it and since she's posted this there has been like a trend going around of
like if don't let Danny Austin's birth scare you this is what I look like at nine centimeters
and it's like them very peaceful laboring which is like beautiful and wonderful but I think it's
a very weird trend that's going around and I'm not a fan of it. I have so many thoughts on this
topic I think my problem with and I haven't seen all of the videos but it's almost like they're
flexing they're bragging instead of like just trying to I don't know show another side of it
and I agree like Danny's content I mean it was like I would never show clips like myself like
that on the internet that's just me but like she likes to do that and like that's that's her
brand that's her content she's very authentic like you can't say she's not authentic I mean literally
and if I'm in her shoes she's proud of herself because she did it so yeah then for people to
compare in that kind of way it just their intentions didn't the ones I've seen the
intentions don't feel authentic they feel more like malicious I guess but I mean I do go back
and forth with it just a little bit because I remember when I was pregnant with George I just
was nervous I was nervous to give birth like who isn't and definitely like the more traumatic
stories are the ones that you hear about more yeah and I was over here like so anxious and I'm
like I just want to see like some positive birthing stories like I want to hear that's what I want
to watch that's gonna make me feel better now knowing full well that might not be
the birth that I have but at the time I took more comfort in seeing like what the best case
scenario was versus like what the and I'm not even saying Danny's was a worst case but like
what the more traumatic ones were so I do like when women share their positive birth experiences
because they do think it's comforting but I don't like when they compare it to somebody else's
it's just the wording of it hey like it's weird it is and like Danny went through that like you
you can't it almost feels like you're like discrediting her it's the wording of it and some
of the intentions are not like that some of the intentions that I've seen are in the way that
you said it like hey you know what I'm a labor and delivery nurse and here's what we're here's what
went maybe not right in Danny's birth or let's break down Danny's birth as to why it was so like
crazy and that I can appreciate because it was like she was separated from her husband for a
minute she like went in it was a very fast fast fast birth so like there was no time to like be
peaceful like yeah she was freaked out she was separated from her husband they weren't listening
to her like there was a lot that went into it and I'm almost like sad for her that she like
literally posted bearing everything on the internet and the reaction was like
some other reactions I felt were like well but unmedicated births aren't like that it's like
well that's what her she did go through that well it's not apples to apples it's apples to oranges
because uh there was other things and I I agree with you I like the idea I haven't seen that video
but I like the idea of a labor and delivery nurse saying like here's what went wrong like maybe she
could have or like here's what and I'm sure just let's break it down like here's and I'm sure Danny
would say like oh yeah I wish I would have I'm sure Danny probably has some I don't I don't like
his word regrets but like things she might have wished she would have done differently like maybe
gone in earlier like had she known maybe advocated for herself longer like but at the time but she's
giving birth no yeah it's um yeah I think it's a weird trend I don't like it and um I feel bad for
Danny because it's also like I'm sorry like she's also not just because she has a big following
doesn't mean that she has to like I just feel like people are people are like well now she's
scaring everyone it's like the girl freaking went through that like congratulations your
unmedicated birth was better and like you didn't have any other trauma like I just don't I don't
like I see what you're saying and like sometimes we only like I just think like instead of comparing
yourself why don't you just post your own video instead of calling Danny Austin out specifically
totally right Danny Austin has nothing to do with your birth
Danny Austin has nothing to do with your birth I know I feel bad for Danny too it's just um
and that's just what I find very interesting about TikTok because TikTok has turned
and I mean kind of Instagram too but things just people go nobody's go more viral on TikTok
and it's been very interesting because a lot of like non-professional content creators are not
creating content which is good but I don't know they're not always um I think that's when people
content gets a little bit more rogue because they have nothing to lose like this isn't their job
like they're just posting their videos and I've been really interested with the evolution of
TikTok shop funny enough and like comparing TikTok shop to like how people make money affiliates on
word people are over exaggerating how good these products work because their
personal brand isn't tied to it because that's just not a lot of TikTok creators a lot of TikTok
creators are not trying to get like if I posted something on Instagram and you guys bought it
and you hated it you would like then not trust my word moving forward the people posting a lot of
stuff on TikTok shop they're not probably getting the same people over and over again so like I have
seen this stupid Dr. Malakson peel shot every other video these people are like
these people have to be like making fake blackheads on their face to like then show this product
working like it's just it's not true and I've seen that with a lot of like the products that are
sold on TikTok shop like like these like weight loss like cortisol drinks and like these outfits
and it's just like you can't trust yeah that's that's interesting it's like way in on the page
page if you guys agree like I find TikTok shop to be I just don't know how you trust anyone on
TikTok versus like how you can trust people on Instagram more just very interesting it's just
like navigating things in a new way because I agree like I see one video sometimes and I'm like
I'm sold like that's all I needed and then I realized that that was maybe foolish of me
and I just need to trust people with more followers like I saw this one I saw this one
girl come up and she was like a postpartum weight loss and she had this incredible transformation
almost so that I was like that's not looking like the same girl like you had a very good
transformation like your like your chin is different I'm like is this even the same girl
and I click on her profile and she has two followers or no no no she has two videos
and like maybe a thousand followers like she's a brand new page and I'm like
you could be AI you could have just like pulled someone else's photos like and it's always like
comment blah blah for my weight loss blah blah blah tips or whatever and I'm just like
you just don't know who you can trust anymore no you don't you you seriously don't and I don't know
I'm kind of into this like theory right now not to like so like business-y like I'm kind of on
this theory right now that like anyone in the creator space has about like three more years
left to like make it and then it's kind of like over what do you mean it's going to be a lot harder
to like break into or like because it's just it's going to be hard to come up as a new creator
in the world of AI and in the world of an already saturated market so I'm just saying like if you
want to do it like make haste because I'm telling you I think you got three years left to try it
and then I think it's going to be I think the window of opportunity will have dramatically closed
I have no idea just kind of my prediction just kind of a wild prediction to have
I know I mean I have so many thoughts on AI like I mean I would like I could dive into it all day
with you but like I don't really have that many thoughts that I want to think about
you know I must be telling people not to save for retirement because he's like you won't even
be like you won't need it like we won't need the money in the future like I don't even get it so
weird um but I can say that AI has nothing on our new series shop with me yeah so Merrick reached out

the series you've seen the journey you've seen what Merrick has ended up with and she was like I
want to go car shopping like do you want to like meet up and like film it and I'm like yeah Merrick

like sold cars with all of like my new car mom knowledge because I stopped selling cars probably
like a year into starting the car mom you know so like and I've learned so much since then so
like it was really fun to like get back in the field yeah and then like spit all this car knowledge
with all my car selling knowledge um it was like just the most fun series your editing was incredible
it was so much we filmed so much footage and the fact that you went all the down to like four fun
snappy episodes was amazing yeah it was so much fun it it was um because we didn't know what the
end result was going to be but we really and I really hope it's captured because we went on a journey
that despite the fact that it's Merrick with her specific family despite the fact that she's got a
big like a luxury budget like despite all of that there are still it's still a journey that
anyone car shopping could find relatable and that's what I loved about it and it was so fun there
were so many like aha moments for her and just like seeing you like really listen to her and
listen to what she was saying and what she wasn't saying and like listen to the things that she
didn't even think was important that she was saying but you like clocked things on what she
would end up with it was just like really fun to watch yeah in person and and I hope on the videos
too I definitely I think it was also fun to do a mom with older kids yeah I was just kind of like
out of our wheelhouse like touch on the teens a little bit like her son is turning 16 so he's
getting her old car which is like a great way to make a teen car yes um and it was yeah I'm
I'm super proud of it and I'm really happy we have it now and I would really love to like just
with other influencers and celebrities and normal people too like I think I would open it up to that
as well yeah but because I don't just like you know a lot of influencers or celebrities probably
have luxury budgets and I actually think like tighter budgets are more fun or more interesting
I should say um but yeah I would love to like Katherine Schwarzenegger if you're listening

braids and she's coming to my house and I'm having like five friends and their girls over
that's such a good party idea now what's the braider run you are you asking people to pitch in
or are you just paying for the braider I'm just paying for the braider this is this is just like
kind of a good party idea so I'm just kind of curious to know how you're approaching it yeah
it is $30 a per like a mom okay that's what she gave me but I'm just gonna pay for it
no that's also really not that bad that like if you wanted people to pay for it they could if
you didn't want to oh no I agree all my friends I mean all my friends would pay for it for sure
it's just like I'm just I'm just gonna do it as a gift um but then I was like racking my brain
with like what to have for dinner for the ladies yeah I find ladies dinners to be so stressful
because it's like you want to feel like you're doing something like light and fun and like
different but then we're also gonna have kids there so has to be kid friendly enough and one
of my friends has alpha gal so she can't have which is like when you get a tick bite and can't
have red meat anymore like so tragic horrible so she has alpha gal so we couldn't do like my typical
like pulled pork or like you know spaghetti and meatballs so I'm like literally falling asleep
racking my brain with like what am I gonna make these ladies this is also gonna kind of
switch the drive-thru because I'm not gonna come up with two um and I'm making such a classic
such a good rainy day march meal and that's chicken tortilla soup okay yum so I'm making
chicken tortilla soup and then I'm gonna do quesadilla cheese quesadillas on the side for the kids
okay good and it's gonna be fixed in city so like I'll have the base and then I'll have my front my
jarred jalapenos fresh avocado cilantro sour cream little fritos on top it's sugar free so that's
good for me um and it's gonna be I the pioneer woman has the best chicken tortilla soup and I'll
say it once I'll say it again if you're looking for a classic recipe look no further than redrummed
yeah like if I ever just need a recipe like if I just need like a classic she has the best
recipes yeah like she just does she does yeah so pioneer woman chicken tortilla soup excellent
and that's what I'm making for the ladies that sounds really nice actually I know and it's like
rainy here it's like you know it's March like it's like a little bit more springy um I think soup is
like it's just a prettier presentation like as soup's easy to have a pretty pretty
pretty presentation when you're feeding a crowd sure yeah and I'm like totally short cutting it
like I have the already cooked chicken rotisserie chicken from Costco I have like five of them in
my freezer like I'm just I just made a long-term investment and ready to go rotisserie chicken
so I pulled that out had like all the cans already because it's just like canned goods and chicken
stock love that maybe I should make that this week oh such a good one and I'm really excited
because today also marks two weeks since I've had sugar and let me tell you life changing
I miss sugar zero like I have no cravings for sugar
and it's to the point now where the journey almost feels too easy like I'm supposed to be like
suffering are you serious it's disgusting no like I'm the most and I'm horrible and guys I was out
of control with the with specifically the artificial sugar like I was up to like one or two Diet Cokes
every single day plus a honey latte like I was just drinking way too many like crappy calories I
just wasn't drinking enough water for sure um I just like always felt like I had to have a fun
beverage with with my food like I was out of control um anyway it's like so easy right now
that I'm almost like I'm not even like clinging to God like I want to be during lent so I think
I'm going to finish lent with a full whole 30 it's literally that's like the craziest thing like
you're so unrelatable I don't know you know how to talk to you right now because it's like what do
you mean like it's too easy like you picked this for it to be like something that was going to be
really really hard to do I know but like you're they said like get to two weeks and then you
will stop craving it like I'm not craving it that's crazy it's insane and like I can't tell you how
much I'm craving like whole foods real food is so much better than like processed food like wow and
you just crave what you eat and that's something that I didn't and that's why I think like if you
want to get on a health journey now if you want to lose weight like I can't help you with that
because I'm not I first of all the scales off like I'm not losing weight at the moment um
well that's not true the scale I drew I lost five pounds pretty quickly which was probably just
like inflammation but like now I'm not losing more weight but I'm also not tracking my calories
all to say is like I would not focus this is not weight loss advice but like for me like moving
forward I will not focus on just like a calorie deficit because I find though or I won't focus on
calorie deficit without cutting food out because I found that to be so hard in the past because
then like I still had these cravings but like like I'm just not much of a everything I find
everything in moderation to be really hard actually at least moderation in like a a daily
or like a weekly sense like I'm not saying of course I'm going to go back to eating like some
sugar yeah but I would always want it so it's like I would eat that but I'm like oh well I can't
have so much of it and now like I'm mad but if I just like don't have it and I don't taste it I
won't crave it and it'll be easier I'm curious if anyone else who's like on week two with me is
like feeling the same way like I'm just like like for breakfast I had cottage cheese and Italian
sausage and a sweet potato and like I was so satisfied my coffee's just been coffee and heavy
cream like ups like I crave it in the mornings yeah I don't know man like we are
I like want to try it when I am at that phase for sure but like
I don't know we're so far away I can't even I almost like can I don't even know what to say to you
like I know no it's like insane because it's like all I can do is like get
it like door-dash constantly like I'm just still so nauseous all the time well I know
listen we're on such different journeys and the same way we should be comparing our unmedicated
bursts we should not be comparing our sugar and processed food intake I know I just like the words
you're saying like they're not they're not adding up in my brain because you're like I just don't
crave sugar anymore and I'm like I don't understand how one could go the day and not need a sweet
treat like I just don't work we're speaking different languages I was the same way I was
having sweet treats after like every single meal and like if we had something in our house like
I had to eat it till it was done like I just I'm telling you and I've really learned that about
myself is I'm not a moderation person and I think that's fine yeah me neither like I mean when I'm
done with this like if I like at like when I'm done with this if like I'm gonna have cookies on
Christmas like I'm gonna have pie on Thanksgiving like I'll still do that but it'll just be more of
a maybe weekly occurrence versus a daily occurrence you know and I'm also like so amazed how much
sugar I was having in my sauces and I was like such a sauce girl I was like I'll never be able to
not like drown things in sauce my new favorite sauce is like hummus and like an olive like so good
like salt all all I need I had I brought my own primal kitchen ketchup to
who went to a fish fry and I brought my own ketchup because I was like they have fries there and I
was like oh fish and fries like with ketchup like sounds so good by the way I can eat fish now everyone
good for me I can't I'm not eating anchovies but like I've had no reactions to fish
which is such a blessing um anyway so I brought my own primal kitchen ketchup no sugar first of
all delicious like so tasty it was like one of the best meals I've had because I just hadn't had
like fried food and George and Hattie and Fred like had like regular ketchup because the primal
kitchen one if you're not used to it it's it's not sweet I was like I wonder what that would
taste like I took a fry dipped it in the Heinz ketchup I gagged it was disgusting that's like
that's like so crazy it was like so sugary it was like like it was disgusting
my taste buds have changed that's why this is so easy because like your taste buds change
yeah I know I want to try I want to do this I mean I know I can't do it till like I have
you know I'm a long ways out for me to do this but I'm really excited because I would love to
experience what you're experiencing because it's just so again like I said truly unrelatable
unless you're going through I know so I'm thinking I'm going to maybe I'm gonna gear up maybe to
start this next weekend and I'm gonna finish line with a whole 30 okay for the challenge
so what would you be giving up out of your current diet
uh gluten and dairy and alcohol because I've still been drinking like I've been doing like vodka
club soda lime if I've been I've only been drinking twice but that's what I was drinking
so and I definitely have been having a lot of more dairy so I'd be cutting out the dairy in the gluten
which I think could be fun okay well you know if you need if you needed to challenge yourself more
than than do it but so anyway that's what's new with me like I'm just a different person

first i'm just feeling like so sick right now the morning we're recording this at like 9 30 the mornings
are i get why they call it morning sickness now like the mornings are so bad every morning i wake
up i feel sick so then i have to eat something but then i never eat something very big because
i'm still like waking up and like then this time rolls around and what i want right now
is a hamburger but it's 9 30 and no one's selling a hamburger so then i'm just like trying to find
literally anything else so anyway i i i door dash some avocado toast i'm hoping that's going to
help me um how many weeks i'm uh i'll be 17 i'll be 17 this week i feel like we like need this to
pass i know but like i'm almost afraid like because i'm nauseous from like not eating like
through the night it's like the morning because i haven't eaten because i you know i slept um
obviously i i wake up and i feel terrible and i'm like i just don't know if that's going to pass
and i'm nervous like i'm going to feel like this every single day for 40 weeks and i'm going to
wake up after giving birth and i'm gonna not feel sick like it's so different from my other
pregnancies i don't get it i don't understand how it can be so different like obviously i would go
through the night and not eat and wake up and not feel this way why is it so different and i'm
i just don't ever i genuinely don't see it ending well and people always like to say
like the different genders give you different pregnancies and i don't feel like that was true
i just think sometimes just the pregnancies are different and like sometimes there's no reason other
than like this is what your body needs for this baby well what does my body need if you would i
guess it needs me to have a midnight meal i don't know that's so hard i keep peanut butter by my
bed because this is something i learned on instagram which could not be true but um sometimes you
wake up with insomnia it's because like you have low blood sugar and so to like keep like crackers
like peanut butter by your bed like have some it like levels out your blood sugar and then you
can fall back asleep and actually i've noticed when i wake up with insomnia if i like have a spoon full
of peanut butter um i like it like crashes me out like i passed out it's like i got hit with like
a like a dart like a sleeping dart i don't know why what now then you do have a like
peanut butter taste in your mouth and like whatever but um i can fall i can fall asleep with that that
wouldn't bother me too bad yeah like i'm a retainer girl so like then i had to take my
retainers out for the rest night so anyway a little bit about what i do in the middle of the night
um anyway not the peanut butter by the bed my bedside my bedside peanut butter
it's so ratchet so i'm not feeling i'm not all is to say i'm not feeling great so
i'm sorry i'm not so do you think we'll still get a 40 days of less today because like
everything when i say my show is on like when you post my show is on thank you are crushing it
thank you it's getting hard to film i feel like i every time i watch i film one and i edit it and
i look at it i'm like i don't i don't know if these are bad or good but then it's like i've
already decluttered it so there's no shot of refilming it like everything's gone and also
i don't know if anyone's noticed but i'm i am like filming them the day before just because
i sometimes i like to get them out in the morning um and like if i have my kids uh or things are crazy
and i'm like not gonna be able to edit it until the evening i just like i like to get it out so
i'm always filming them like the day before so that helps um yeah that helps my like posting
schedule but yeah once i get my avocado toast and i feel better like yes i think i want to
tackle like a big one today um but there will be there will be an episode out today i've just
already filmed it so don't you fret don't you fret um well speaking of things that are out today

like it is the best auto show yeah it's so fun it's what you do um i'm so excited i'm honestly
so excited for it mm-hmm they'll be fun um and finally our last but like let's just we already
did our dish the drive through it's chicken tortilla soup i can tell you're getting nauseous so
let's move on from food i'm sorry and i want to just share one bit of industry news which i did
talk about on my instagram stories but i feel like a lot of people don't always watch those or maybe
i just want to reiterate it and i want to get your take on it yeah that linkin is like trying to do
something so this story dropped like literally three minutes after we recorded last week's episode
and linkin wants to bring out a g-wagon competitor on the ford bronco platform and i'm like that is
it takes a lot for me to be like that's a good idea yeah let me be clear that's a great idea
yeah it is it is the g-wagon needs a competitor
totally like a big one and this is going to be i almost think it's not gonna be to me it's almost
feeling more like a land rover defender competitor yeah it's a good idea like these luxury off-roading
cars there is a market like there shouldn't be a market in the same way like i don't think there's
an electric pickup truck market sorry um there is a luxury off-roading market because like these
people want something different and fun and sporty they're not taking it off-roading but they want to
spend a hundred and fifty thousand dollars on it like there is a market there are buyers for that
and i think like it is just so jaw-droppingly interesting when you look at the general motors
lineup and think they don't have a single competitor in that space yeah Cadillac doesn't
have one B which doesn't have one GMC Chevy like they don't have they barely have an off-roading
car like they really don't like they have like like the Tahoe like z71 i guess yeah like they
don't have the Toyota Land Cruiser they don't have even like a Nissan XTERRA they don't have
like the the Bronco they don't have the Wrangler like they don't have anything
and they totally fumbled the ball with the Blazer nameplate like it's honestly so offensive
to Blazer owner to come out with like that stupid little equinox competitor like why are you
why would Chevy be like let's have a Blazer and an equinox like what it's it's so it's so just like
nothing like i just don't i don't know i don't it doesn't stand out to me on any front oh and
what also dropped after we recorded last week's episode is the Pacifica release their first photos
of the new Pacifica that's exciting and i'm trying like 8g double hockey sticks to get that new
Pacifica at my auto show let's just say i'm in talks with someone whose email is at Stellantis
so like your girl's working hard on that because i would love to have that as like like we had the
Traverse a couple years ago i would love to be able to debut the new Pacifica yeah it'd be
super sick super sick yeah so new Pacifica it's just one photo i think the exterior looks good i
don't think they really change the more i look at the photos the more i'm worried this is just
feeling like a refresh than a redesign like i actually don't think because they i don't think
they changed the term refresh and redesign are like so um kind of hard to define i define a
redesign as like they change the dimensions of the car yeah not just like an interior
an exterior redesign and i don't think they change the dimensions of the car so i'm not very hopeful
that the third row headrest will get fixed is that you're like big like what are your what's on your
list of fix these things and i'll love you well i think they should bring back the plug-in hybrid
um i think they should figure out a way to make their hybrid all-wheel drive because like in the
past they've had a all-wheel drive Pacifica but not if you got the hybrid like they couldn't
figure out how to do both but it's like well Toyota did so like you should figure it out yeah
and they need better third row head restraints they need removable third row head restraints
yeah and they need to work on their reliability above all right and they need to lower the or
they need to lower the price like they shouldn't try to compete with or or scrap the hybrid all-wheel
drive idea and just be more of like a odyssey competitor but be cheaper so like have the best
car seat set up i actually think the Pacifica like just on its face even even the outgoing
model i think it's a better looking van and they have the stow and go patent which is like so fun
yeah that's what i'm gonna double down with it's like which it's already too late but like if i'm
christler it's like okay i know i can't make a better hybrid than toyota but can i make a cheaper
more reliable van maybe yeah not probably more reliable but can i make a cheap they need to go
after the honda odyssey people not the sienna people that's what they need to do okay okay
