I just was listening to your snail mail episode about being a good trail guide for your club.
And I liked your ideas about when you explaining the 2 different kind of types of kind of like trip layouts that you can give to people, 1 being the short and to the point hey, we're gonna meet here at this time.
We're gonna have we're gonna be on the trails at this time. We're gonna have lunch
at this time. We're gonna be off the
trail Hopefully, this time we'll see how many people breakdown. And then the other 1 is like
the step by step by itinerary of get gas before you come and show up at this time preferably 15 minutes early, we're going to have a safety talk at this time blah, like every step of the way all the way down. Yeah. And
if you have...
I just wanted to throw this out there.
If you have people who are married, and going on this wheel trip.
Likely 1 of those people would prefer the short sweet to the point and their thoughts, at leads... If they're like me
is, the rest of it, we got how many people going?
We'll be alright. We'll figure it out.
And then the other person who might be like my wife, with much prefer the every single thing lined down every step of a way, not just so that they can feel better about it all. But
because if they don't have the detailed plan, then perhaps their world, it doesn't make sense, and they are just completely unsure of what's going on. And
just throws them for a loop, at least, that's my experience.
Some people may different, But perhaps include both just because if there's married people out there who are going, probably one's 1 way and one's the other. You
know? Obviously attract. Hey Keep up the good

I mean, they're a lot of opposites attract and a lot of people do appreciate, or there was a certain type of people that really appreciate very detailed Yes.
Organization, and then there's other types that don't care immensely. Yeah. Usually, so if I'm putting
together a run for, like, say the Mad Hat? Yeah.
I'll I'll usually do both of those. I'll
have, like, a warning wall of text incoming for the more detailed stuff for, and I'll be like, I'll I'll make a joke out of it I'd be like for the left brainer.
Yeah. You'll want to read this section for
the right brainer. Just read this section or
like, I'll be like, for the type a personalities, you want this section for the Type b personalities, read this section. Yeah. So... It
could even be laid out fairly well in an email where you're like, Here's a brief description of the trip. If you want a detailed description,
check out the attached Yeah. Document. Yeah.
Yep. For sure. So those are definitely good
ways to do it, adding both of them in there, definitely helps, especially... So This is a big thing I've
noticed with a, more flight customer service stuff.
Right? And why I think a lot of
companies fail at customer service. Okay? Is listening.
Customers just want to be informed of what's going on. Oh, a hundred percent. And it
doesn't seem like it really matters to an extent of what's happening as long as you keep the customer informed of what is going on, and they're not surprised to buy anything. I have the example
to back what you're saying. Perfect.
They're usually okay with everything. Just stay in
contact and let people know what's going on.
U. And, Yep, a lot of times just
not knowing what's going on causes so much stress and anxiety in people that all all they really like could it's not really the problem is not what's going on. The problem is just
all the stress and anxiety of not knowing what's going.
And so if you can... If you know
that somebody you're dealing with has that type of personality or has that happening, it's not about the nail. Right?

It's it's really about the stress and anxiety of what's going on. It's the other stuff.
Sure. Yeah. So fourth of July happened a
week ago. Yeah. U. And I got some
orders in on Monday I got some orders in on Tuesday, and then we had life happen on Thursday or Wednesday and Thursday. Mh. I... What I did is
I wrote the people that had orders in Mh. On Monday and Tuesday because I try
to get all the orders out within 3 days. Yeah. That's my goal. And I... So
I preemptively wrote them, and I said, hey.
I see you got your order in on Monday.
I apologize, but I'm with the holiday weekend coming up. I'm not gonna be able to
get to it this week. Yeah. I... It
will be out first thing on Monday. Yep.
And the 3 people that I wrote for those that have those 3 orders in on Mondays and Tuesday.
All wrote back.
Understood. Have a happy holiday. Yeah.
Yep. That's it. You know what I was
like, I was telling them, like, I would probably if I didn't notify them. Mh. On
Friday, I would have an email saying, hey, man. I placed my order like a week
ago. Where's my order? Yep. What's? What's happening.
You know, Haven't heard anything. I don't see
a shipping notice or anything, You know? But
if I just tell them, hey, I'm sorry, the holiday got up to me faster than I expected it did, and I will get to your order first thing next week. Yeah. They're happy.
Yeah. It's exact. That's totally it. Yep. So
I think that falls right in line with...
There's the types of people that don't care a lot. Because I'm sure maybe with those
people don't didn't need it know. Mh. But
if you still tell them, if you give them the more information, they're still happy. Yeah.
Yep. My buddy, Joe
is a type a person type a personality Is. Very much
here's the identity, and we did a lot of backpack, and he did a lot of organizing of our backpack trips. And he's like,
Here's our itinerary. When we're gonna get to
the trailer at this time. We're gonna be
hiking at this time. We're gonna be doing
lunch at this time. We're gonna get up
to the summit. Or camp at this time.
We're gonna make lunch dinner at this time.
And I was like, you can't you can't plan that. Yeah. Like, you like, you there's
no way that you're gonna know that we're gonna get to our campsite life this time. Yeah. And even if we
did.
Would we have dinner already 45 minutes later?
Yeah. I... Like, maybe it takes somebody longer
to set up their tent? Like, you can't
plan it that far? And what what happens
if you're in the middle of real and you're like, no. It's dinner time now. Yeah.
We got we gotta eat. I got times.
Right now. So the whole rest of the
plane get thrown off. Yeah. Exactly. We're not
even the Camp yet, but it's dinner time.
Yep. Gotta eat. Gotta even. So there's times
as I think there's times and places for both of I agree. You know, it's like,
you can't... Once you're on the trail, who
knows. Like, yeah, you can schedule lunch. Mh.
You know, and we can say, hopefully, we're at camp by this time. Mh. Right? But
you don't know what's gonna happen out there.
And I... In my opinion you have to
leave a lot of things open ended. Yeah.
But I know that some people can't live that way. Yeah. So
It is what it is. Yep. I guess
you have to do both. Yep.

This is Desiree Jordan out here in Vegas again. Just catching up on some old episodes
that I missed.
Your biscuit 1, the caller was asking about how to secure a puppy and their vehicle.
Yeah.
What I have done in the past was I got this thing off of Amazon is it's basically a seat belt for your dogs. And
you get a harness that fits your dog, and it's like this little ke.
1 end has, like, a little para that clips on to the bottom d ring of the harness.
And then the other end, has like, the male end of a seat belt.
Right? You just click it into your seat
belt and tightened down, so the dogs kinda laying in there, chilling.
And now we've trained our dogs so that they...
We call it place.
But basically, they know they go to a kind of a raised platform and they stay on it. They can stand
up. They can spin around. They do whatever
they want on that platform, but they stay there. So we've done that
with them.
And they stay on the seat and we buckle them in and the harness kinda keeps them from moving around 2 months her.
So just wanted to throw that out there. I
think we found it. I, I know we
found it on Amazon, but I we searched for, like, dog seat belt or something like that.
Not sure how well it would do it a crash but if keeps seem for moving around too much.
Wow, I sit and hunt lot. So
Think I'll leave it at that. Oh, real

the f 01:50, the stripper pull was absolutely useless and that that made the whole tailgate just horrendous.
That you could not really get stuff in and out over the tailgate slide it in there. Just fine. There was no way you're
putting any kind of camping equipment on the tailgate, whether it's a stove or your beer, there's nothing's going on that tailgate. So in my opinion, that
stripper of pull we are moved and then a flat snail arm panel put all afterwards.
Okay. But, yeah. Jordan Tyler had 1 of
those. Mh. And Tyler sold it to a
snail squad member. Yeah.
Locally here. Oh, they live an hour away
from me or so maybe 45 minutes. So

I think that'd be the easiest route. Mh
but at in regards to the puppy seat belt. So cool idea. Yeah. I love that.

the the puppy harness. I think that'd be
great. And I think, in my head I
was thinking, well, how do you keep a dog from... Because the whole point
of a seat belt to harness is to protect you in a crash rollover something like that. Right? Okay. But how do you you
can't tighten and tie a dog into a seat. Right. I don't know how that would
worked out.
So, yeah. I'm kinda curious as to how
it really worked out, but then he was like, yeah, you just train him that they when there in the car They have to be on this 1 spot. And I'm like,
yeah, that makes a little bit better. I
sure. The general gist of puppy training is
baby steps. Right? At first, you need to
teach him not to jump out of the car. Yeah. And that's where this thing comes
in. Gotcha. Then you start working on teaching
them to stay in place. Yeah. And they
have a place and then they can do whatever they kinda want. Like, he was... Jordan
was saying, in their place. But... Yeah. Yeah.
And so I think this is step 1 teaching the dog to stay in the car in the car general area. Yeah. And it
sounds like a super easy hook up. Yeah.
I like... I love the concept of just
buck a strain the seatbelt buckle. Yeah. Yeah.
And if you're okay with letting your dog run from side to side. Mh. Then, you
know, you put it at the 1 of the middle buckles, and you let it, you make the Leash as long as they could stick their head out. Mh. You know, and
that's it. Yep.
Yeah. I like that. I like that a
lot. Mh.

good idea for this. So I'm... I wanna
chris who what he has to say.
Hey jimmy, Tyler. I'm listening to your you
talk about the, whole science incident you had.
And just so you know, lot, I I made a post about while back. But if
you have, I don't know say a 2 inch hole, and you're trying to go increase the size up to, like, 2 a half. A lot of times you can take
that 2 inch hole. Actually, screw it into
the Arbor. You kind of a hole inside
of a hole.
So you put your 2 to half inch hole on your Arbor, and then you can usually get 1 thread is the smaller size in there. So acts as a
kind of like a sin cone full tech tip just so it though. But,
yeah, so 2 whole thoughts. Usually will fit on an
Arbor, you only get about 1 thread ed on the inside wholesale.
Or you know? Have a good 1. Yeah.
We didn't have the the correct size whole software the 1. But that. That would have
been the way to do it for sure.
I've seen that before where if you or, like, re something out to too large, you need to make a bigger hole, you know?
And if you don't have the right saw then you use whatever that sizes. Yeah. And that's your center pin.
Yep. Then you can do the larger sizes
needed. Yeah. It's a really cool tip. For
sure.

Episode 01:15, and sorry to hear you're still having your over overheating problems.
This is just throwing this out there, kind of a crazy possible solution.
What if you got a power tank or 2, and instead of using them as an air source for your tires, ran them to like, a spray nozzle in front of your radiator.
And then when it starts to overheat you rig up some sort of solenoid switch and you press a button and sprays C 2 all over your radiator, and then that should really cool it down, I would think. Just a thought.

That's an interesting thought.
I'm still not a hundred percent. I mean,
I didn't do the the temperature gauge tests, like I was wanting to. Yeah. Actually, bend
over got me a couple of really nice temperature gauge that are very accurate, Really nice stuff from, Hvac industry that I might be going in doing some more temperature tests with to check all of my gauge and see which ones are actually accurate or not. Okay. But I'm I want
to think that the radiator is is working and cooling everything off, but according to my gauge, it's not.
Sure. But at the same time, once the
the engine is off, that radio cools everything down super quick.
And it works and it works great when the Ac is not on. Right.
So I don't know. Yeah. Did that I sent
you... I'm pretty sure I sent you a
video of a guy that had a mister system in front of his radiator.
That's what I thought he was getting to.
Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Which was super funny. So
you have a water outlet. And then if
your vehicle gets, too hot that has this mister system that sprays on the radiator. Yeah. Yeah.
I know that in, yesterday's episode, we talked a bit about the the problems that you're having. 1 thing I just thought of, and
I'm not sure if it it will work or not, and I'll explain why You're here in a second. Is, I wonder if you
just created more separation between the condenser and your radiator. Mh. So
that the air sort of has a a pocket to kinda cool down in before it's shoved through.
The flip side is... I don't know if
that will create a negative pocket and have nowhere air allow for your radiator to come through. Yeah.
If it would create an air blockage. Yeah.
Yeah. That's a good question. I would imagine
what the fans right behind the radio a pull air through no matter what? Yeah. I
think it would just become less airflow through the condenser, and it would pull air in through the gaps in the the radiator support area between the condenser and the radiator.
Maybe. Which would be... I think that would
work great for the radiator.
I just don't know if it to work great on the air conditioning system. Right. The
not the eva operator. What is it The
condenser? Sir? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I don't... Maybe.
I mean, you have so much room, maybe the option instead of moving, trying to create a funnel for your mechanical fan is to put the radio actually closer to the engine Yeah. And create more of a separation
and then create a sort of a a wind tunnel Yeah. Through the whole thing. Yeah.
I don't know. Many options that could could
possibly be done. Yeah.
I'd still think you should just throw it on... So the 4 runners
have that back weird spoiler that throws air down the back window. Mh. You should just
put it at a weird angle on your back window. The condenser? No. The radiator. No,
we can do that. Be a ultra your
4 car then. Yeah. Exactly. Okay. And the
radiator in the back. Yeah. The air going
over your cab gets force down right there to help keep that back window clean. Yeah.
And it'll just force it down through the radiator. That works. I'm... I am working on
trying to figure out how to do a swing out in the back to hold up my, vehicle fluids, chainsaw saw stuff like that.
Yeah. So I'll build the radiator into that.

it gets too hot, you just open the swing out as you're driving down the freeway way. Motor.

cylinder and a 6 cylinder to get your ford guy in here. Just to talk about

depending on what year.

club runs at every year. We lost the
window on it this year.

it seems like a simple trail. And other
than that, the Yeah. Other than that 1
spot, it's not bad at all. But, yeah.
That 1 spot is enough to to keep out the guys with the bigger trucks or that are scared of their quarter panels, don't... Like I say, don't under sell that
1. Even though it's for most part of
Easy trail at 1 spot enough to cause us a little bit of trouble. Alright,
guys. You know, keep crawling, try us suck,
all that stuff. So

that... It's a tight corner though with a
couple of big rocks in the middle diff catcher and kinda step ledge at same time.
It's it's a really interesting wet off camera...
And off camera that. Yeah. Everything it has
a little bit of everything. Yeah. So it's
it's really hard get long wheel based vehicles through there. And then if you are super
wide, it's hard. But if you're narrow, you
tilt over into the tree in the roots.
So it's it's just it's a tough little spot. I will say
people are running bigger than 30 fives dawn.
Maybe that's a rover thing that you can only run 30 fives on rumors.
That's somebody a political call.

You know, Getting through on bigger than 35 fives, it definitely helps because there's a couple diff drag or rocks in there they'll catch in.
But, yeah, if you're on smaller than 30 you're gonna have a hard time on that corner for sure. Yeah. It's difficult. Mh. I
know that that's as far as I've ever made it on that trail, and I went down that section and Brennan was kinda like, that looks pretty gnarly. Yeah. And he didn't

Yeah. I think it's today. And I was
like, sorry, man. Of, Tyler and I are
recording. We're not gonna be able to make
it. Yeah. I have some other stuff going
on today as well. And he's like, well,
the top of signal peaks looks like a fantastic spot to record from like, you know what you you got me there. Yeah.
But 1 of the things I also wanna say about Hell hole is there pretty much is nowhere on that trail. That you can create
a bypass. No. It's not really. Almost on
the side of a hill, the entire time.
Yep. You know, with a... At it's fairly
steep on, if you're going down to the reservoir. It's steep on the driver's side down
to the trail. And on the passenger side,
it'd probably even steeper. Yeah. It's gnarly. So
there's nowhere for you to drive around it.
This obstacle is tough and nobody's gonna create a bypass. Yeah. And I love that. Yep.
It's a it's a pretty... It's a I
like really like that corner. It kinda reminds
me as Donna was saying if the rest of the trails is fairly easy. Yeah. It's
that 1 spot though, when and there's no way to get around it. You have to
do it. And that kinda reminds me of,
Barrett Lake. I mean, it's Bear Lake is
a much more difficult trail than hell hole.
But it's kind of the same concept where most to the trail on Barrett is pretty easy going, nice relaxing ride, but there's 3 spots that are really difficult. You cannot go
around them. Absolutely. Yeah. I remember there's just
a... You had to pay attention going down
the hill. Mh. Because there's just... There's sections
of rocks where you could catch a diff.
If you're not paying attention. Yep. And as
long as you're paying attention, it's a pretty easy trail. Yep. With the exception of the
ledge and this tree turn. But if it
even has a name, I call a Creek section. Creek section. Creek tree turn section. Yep.
Yeah. It's... That section will definitely
is tough. Yeah. And eventually, that tree is
gonna be gone. Yeah. It's already a big
chunk of it is gone already. So it's...
Then it's starting to the trail and the inside of that turn is starting to get wider and wider. If it wasn't for the
roots. Right. Right there. It would be a
lot wider already. So
Cool. Good stuff. Let's call it there for
snail. Sounds good.
