When people say “cars in storage,” they usually mean the car is kept safe for long periods. With very expensive cars, it takes more than just locking it up—you have to prevent problems while it sits.
The Range Rover is a large, luxury SUV made by Land Rover. It’s designed to be comfortable for everyday driving but still capable on rough roads. People talk about it a lot because it’s a high-end, expensive vehicle.
“Insure it” means making sure the car is covered by an insurance policy while it’s being stored. The coverage is meant to protect against things like fire or theft. Some storage places don’t include that kind of coverage.
Term
de-modified
“De-modified” here sounds like a storage option with fewer interventions on the car. Instead of doing more frequent starts or maintenance, the car can be started only occasionally (once a month in this description). It’s basically a different storage “level.”
A trickle charger is a small device that slowly charges a car battery while the car sits. It helps stop the battery from going dead. Some people don’t want it used on their car while it’s stored.
The Dodge Charger is a car built for power and performance. Some owners use a small charger when the car sits for a while so the battery doesn’t run down. A car cover can also help protect it when it’s parked.
Disconnecting a car battery removes power from the vehicle’s electrical system, preventing parasitic drains (like clocks, alarms, or control modules) from slowly discharging the battery. It’s often done for long-term storage when the owner doesn’t want the battery connected at all.
C-TEC is a brand of battery charger. The idea here is that it’s designed to charge a battery in a smarter way for storage, not just blast the same charge over and over.
“Phases” here means the charger uses different steps as the battery fills up. Instead of one fixed method, it changes how it charges depending on how full the battery is.
This is a famous old Ferrari model called the 250 California. It’s known for being a very desirable, high-end classic, and the host says it’s worth about £18 million in their storage.
“One of one” means there’s only one car like it in the world. That kind of rarity is a big reason collectors pay extreme money, and it also makes the car’s identity easy to trace.
“Boot” is the trunk area at the back of the car. The host is saying the trunk was left open the entire time, even though the owner locked the car. That’s why it’s such a notable mistake.
The Saab 9-3 is a smaller car made by Saab. In the podcast, it’s mentioned as an inexpensive older example. That kind of car can be a budget option if you’re looking for something specific.

Place
Brecken
This sounds like a place name where the person would drive on Sundays. It’s mentioned to describe the routine of taking the cars out and then putting them back away.
“On charge” means the car’s battery is kept hooked up to a device that maintains it while the car is stored. It helps the battery stay healthy so the car can start when needed.
This describes a “put it away for a long time” approach: take the battery out and drain the fluids. The goal is to reduce the chances of damage while the car is sitting.
Here, “investment” means the owner is keeping the car because it’s valuable and they expect it to be worth more or at least hold value over time. So they store it carefully instead of driving it.
Concept
as a token
“As a token” here means the car is kept more for what it represents than for actually driving it. That can lead to the car being stored for years with little or no use.
The “G-Wagon” is a Mercedes-Benz off-road SUV that’s famous for being tough and also very luxurious. Here, they’re talking about the Maybach version, which is the fancy, top-tier luxury version of that same model.
Maybach is Mercedes-Benz’s luxury brand—think “very high-end, top-tier comfort and materials.” Saying “the Maybach one” means the G-Wagon is the most luxurious version.
This is about how people keep cars when they’re not driving them. If the storage setup or provider isn’t right, the car can get damaged or problems can happen.
They’re saying one big mistake is picking a storage company that isn’t really set up to care for cars properly. With expensive cars, the details of how they store and handle them matter a lot.
The Ferrari SF90 is a hybrid supercar, meaning it has a battery that helps power the car. If you leave it parked in storage without keeping that battery charged, it can end up costing a lot to fix or replace.
A “dead battery” is basically a battery that’s drained completely. In storage, that can mean the car won’t start and you may need to recharge it—or sometimes replace it.
A “flat battery” is when the battery runs down so much that the car won’t start or work normally. When cars sit in storage, batteries can slowly drain even if nobody drives them.
A hybrid battery is the battery pack that powers the electric part of a hybrid car. If it sits for a long time without being kept charged, it can get damaged and become very costly to fix.

A “dodgy battery” means a battery that isn’t working right or can’t hold charge properly. In a hybrid supercar, battery problems can cause the car to act weird or throw errors. The story is that the battery wasn’t actually the root cause—storage handling was.
A hybrid charger is how you keep a hybrid car’s electric battery topped up while it’s parked. Hybrid cars have systems that expect the battery to be connected and charged in a specific way. If the storage company does it wrong, the car can have hybrid-related problems when you try to use it again.
A Porsche Boxster is a Porsche sports car that’s built to feel nimble and fun to drive. Here, it’s mentioned as an example of a certain kind of owner who might be calling a car-storage service a lot.

“Off sale” means the car isn’t being advertised for sale at that moment. The owner can pause listings and bring it back later when they think the timing is better.
The speaker is describing a market trend driven by supply and demand: fewer cars available online over time, which can push prices higher. In enthusiast/collector markets, visible inventory changes (like listings dropping from 6 to 2) often correlate with rising values.
Concept
assets
They’re talking about where people keep their money. Instead of keeping it as cash, they prefer putting it into things they think will hold value, like cars.
They’re discussing the actual prices cars fetch at auctions in the US. Those prices can be different in the UK or Europe because different buyers want different things.

LIVE
What's the most expensive car you've got in storage?
18 million pound Ferrari in London.
35 million pound car here.
Oh, yeah, look at that.
Yeah, I like Quirky cars.
We're actually going to do a deal now.
You have got nearly a billion pounds of the cars in storage.
How does that make you feel?
Nervous.
There's way more that comes to car stories
than just leave your car and come back when you want.
New Range Rover, it's so nicotine.
You can see it five people
and you can put a cash point in the back.
Not that I know.
Famous client you've got here, Camman.
Oh, really?
These Connoisseurs, these Pagani's,
I just think paying, you know,
8 to 50 million quid on one car is ridiculous.
Cars are becoming unobtainable now.
I had a very good client, had a sheer on,
and I sent it down to Monaco,
got back to 1.3 miles in a whole week,
and he used it for his coffee run.
Has anyone ever run up a bill with you,
not paid and you've kept the car?
Hmm.
Henry, how many cars have you got in storage right now?
Somewhere between six and 700.
Wow.
What's the total value of the 700 cars?
Just below 800 million today.
And how many of those are for sale?
I knew you were going to ask that.
What a surprise.
No, no, he didn't even want to ask that.
What a surprise, straight in, 20 seconds in.
To you.
To me.
Maybe one or two.
Okay.
Will you ever walk around them?
To be fair, me and Henry go back a long time.
The first car I bought for you, if you remember,
was in 2000 and I'd say 18,
and it was a Range Rover Sport SVR.
Yeah, I remember that car.
You remember it?
Yeah.
It was a special colour.
With the oikish button for the exhaust.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And how long ago was that?
About 18, was it?
17 or 18?
17 or 18, yeah, yeah.
Do you know what?
It doesn't remember much from what I can gather,
but he always remembers the first car he sold everyone he's ever.
That's a relationship.
That's a relationship.
For you, yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
The best clients.
And since then, we've, you know, we've done,
I can't even remember.
I was trying to think on the way here
how many deals we've done to say,
but I don't know, I mean...
If you remember, don't tell me because I'll feel sick.
It's got to be...
I don't want to know.
It's got to be 30 or more.
I don't want to know.
It's got to be 30 or more.
Also, my wife watches this as well, so...
It's got to be four.
Yeah.
There was...
That was better.
That was better.
That was better.
There's a great story of...
It was, I think, two years ago.
And it was a really nice summer's day
and I rang up Carl and said,
Carl, have you got any convertibles?
He said,
I don't know.
Anyway, I was sort of walking sort of down into the yard again
and this heartily
Land Rover trailer turns up in the yard.
I'm like, what's that?
I haven't got any clients' cars coming.
Anyway, the driver said,
Henry said, yeah.
I was like, boy, this is weird.
Has somebody bought me a present?
And out rolls this white Lamborghini Perfumante convertible.
Carl thought it would be good for you to have this car
because he said he was looking for a convertible.
I was like, you swine.
Anyway, it stayed here.
Yeah.
I hadn't even paid for it.
He said, keep it.
Pay me on Monday.
Monday morning came.
Bank manager, can you...
An expensive weekend.
Yeah, thanks to you.
I'm an expensive friend to have,
but as we'll get into the show as we go on a bit more,
it doesn't always cost you money to be friends with me.
Like, there's been plenty of cars,
especially the one behind us.
Yeah, we'll talk about that one.
You've earned money on, which is good, which is great,
which is why you keep coming back.
Agreed, yeah, 100%.
Right, so you have got nearly a billion pounds
with the cars in storage.
Yeah.
How does that make you feel?
Nervous.
Nervous at night.
I'm nearly big enough, apparently, to insure myself,
which means I don't need to use a broker.
Sorry, my broker, to hear that.
But I think you need a billion pounds with
to be able to do your own insurance.
So you could become an insurance company.
Yeah, which is quite scary.
To start as a car storage business
and then to have your own insurance company
could be maybe on the cards.
And you have storage facilities
all over the UK, how many in total?
So six now, one in Manchester,
one in Bristol to go this year.
So going to be eight.
How does the price vary
for somebody from
what's the cheapest storage they can have
per week or per month?
Per month.
What's the cheapest storage they can have per month?
What do they get and what is the most expensive?
What do they get?
They leave their car here.
No, but it's not just about that.
You get Henry to insure it,
probably under his insurance.
A lot of storage companies don't offer that.
You get risk for fire theft,
blah, blah, blah, whatever it may be.
And you also get the car on charge,
the car cleaned.
There's way more that comes to car storage
than just leave your car and come back when you want.
I'm ready to learn.
So here, Warwickshire,
we have a nice facility
where people can just have basic storage.
Which is 160 quid a month.
Sorry to interrupt.
Is this your original?
This is where it started in the 60s.
So we've got standard here
and we've got de-modified.
And within that de-modified,
you can have the car started once a month.
You can have the car left
under some people don't want a trickle charger.
Some people don't want a car cover.
They just want it parked and left.
Nothing else.
Which is crazy.
Why?
You have to trickle charge yours.
Tight fuckers.
Extra fiver for a fucker.
That's like a 999 GM.
They want battery off,
battery disconnected and just left.
Which is fine.
You know the other client, the client always knows.
But why? Why does someone want that?
Is it literally just cheap?
Because a car can be on charge
for its life,
but it doesn't do the battery any good.
A C-TEC battery charger works
from taking the battery from different phases
in its life.
If you have a car on charge for three years,
all it does is follow the same cycle.
Yeah.
If you're then able to take the battery off,
which is probably better for the car,
and keep the battery charged
on the side, on the bench,
and then put the battery back into the car
once it goes out,
it's probably better for the car.
And why does someone want it uncovered?
I have got so many different clients
that think that their paintwork
and their paintwork is amazing,
so they don't want a car cover on,
they want the car to be able to breathe naturally.
So many people have had these bad experiences
with different storage areas,
different storage companies,
and they think they know best,
and for me that's fine,
because the client is always right.
But let's say the client isn't always right,
or I came to you with one of my cars
and I wanted your advice,
what would be the things we'd want to do
in your car storage?
I want a car cover on it,
I want to run it up once a month,
and I want a battery charge on it,
especially if you're going to use the car regularly.
You run it around your land here, do you?
We've got a Marlon drive here,
so the cars are taken up to the top of the drive.
Lots of clients tell me
they want their cars driven on the road,
I don't like it.
What we know is that you might be over,
and we just rally up and down the drive through.
That was our secret.
Goodwood has its famous hill.
Well, Henry has his famous drive.
It must be a mile nearly.
It's bang on the kilometre.
Well, a kilometre.
So we have a race in other people's cars
to see how far he...
And then if they're quick enough,
you've just reduced his premium now.
The next car I bought a few metres ago.
And so that's £160 a month.
That's just standard.
That's basic.
And then take us to,
five-star, seven-star treatment.
So top-level London
is £495 to £695
depending on what you want.
Depending on the insurance as well,
because we are obviously at a levy on top
for your insurance.
We cover everything for £250,000
and then anything over that.
I've noticed from your Instagram
the cars you post that are coming and going out,
your London storage
seems to have some heavy,
heavy pieces in it.
London's a lot more of a collector's place
where people can fly into a private airport
around London area,
get into a Bugatti weekend to deliver cars
throughout London,
and they can use it for the weekends
rather than the daily store.
So you'll deliver their car to wherever they are
and then you'll take it back in storage.
We'll take their Bugatti,
drive it, trailer it
into central London,
and then when they're ready,
bring me up Henry, car's ready to go back in store
and we're going to pick it up again.
So what's the most expensive car
you've got in storage?
We've got a £18m Ferrari
in London
which is a beautiful car.
It's a 250 California.
Very special car.
We've got a £35m car
here
which I can't tell you what it is.
Why not?
Because it's one of one.
If I tell you the car,
people know who it is.
But then I wouldn't be doing my job if I didn't ask.
Nor would I.
I've driven quite a long way.
What brand is it?
It is a Ferrari.
£35m.
Does that expensive for car
not make you worry as well?
It does,
but I like having that responsibility.
Also our car's a car.
Tell it to the owner.
Your insurance and stuff obviously goes up.
But it's not going to react
any different way to a car that's worth
£35m.
It's metal.
It's got an engine.
It's got petrol, it's got oil, it's got fluids.
£85m.
I would think that.
I would much rather have a car like that
and store it rather than an RS6 in there.
You know, an RS6 in your Range Rover
is so nickable.
People want those for bank jobs.
What are you going to do with that?
Did you say they want them for bank jobs?
An RS6 obviously.
They're the bank jobs.
Can seat five people and you can put a cash point in the back.
Not that I know.
And it's 25 miles an hour quicker than a piece of helicopter.
Yeah, and it's...
How the fuck do you know all this?
I don't know.
It's really weird that I know all this.
I think I sold you an RS6 one day.
Do you have any RS6's in storage?
No.
Don't do it.
Right.
So you like these higher-end cars?
With higher-end cars becomes more problems.
But you know, it's nice to have them.
It shows that we are doing the right thing.
And it gives us a good advert.
100% to bring other cars in.
Have you ever had any cars nicked?
No.
Touch wood?
And all this time, because you've been going...
40, 50 years.
Yeah.
That's great.
I mean, for me, location is everything.
I choose these sites where we don't...
Look at us.
I spent a fortune on Google trying to de-google myself.
Right.
For location.
Some people arrive and go, we've been trying to find you for half an hour.
Where's the sign saying it's your bit of the drive?
I'm like, come on.
I want to keep this quiet.
When you arrive, you don't know if you're here or at a farm,
at a commercial yard.
So I try and keep it that way.
Yeah. Right.
And then...
What's your insurance bill a month?
My insurance bill a month is...
Well, what I can tell you...
I'm not going to tell you my bill,
but what I can tell you is that I put a new Range Rover
on my policy the other day,
which is worth £135,000,
and they charged me £18
to put it onto my policy.
So whether that means that my insurance is a lot...
They're one of the most unique cars, aren't they?
Yeah. Yeah.
Somebody was saying to me, it's going to cost you, mate.
It's going to cost you £2,000.
I was like, okay.
So I rang up my insurance, £18,000,
but because I've got rather a large amount of cars on...
£800 million with them.
They're not going to charge me £2,000.
£130,000.
Is it seven figures a year?
No.
No. It's not six figures.
Yeah.
It's cheaper than you think it is.
Yeah.
Yeah, I totally believe that.
These cars aren't being driven on the road.
So it's purely about how we keep cars.
So thigh theft,
you know, accidents
in the shortage unit,
which never happens, never has happened.
It must have happened.
Things must have happened.
You don't have to say what car or where.
No, you do.
We have it.
I have it.
I've got 70 cars.
Maybe it's a third party, but...
Now and again, you get someone reverse a car into another car.
Like when I say now and again,
like very, very, very rarely.
But I mean, it's happened.
Actually, there is a story.
We had a...
When they first came out,
Ferrari Pure Sangway came...
That's actually my favourite car.
I was just looking forward to
something crashing into your Pure Sangway.
And my drive went to pick it up
from my client's house
and he got it back and he opened up the door.
And I was like, I was there ready to sort of
see this lovely, beautiful...
I hadn't seen one before.
And the doors opened and the boot had been open
the whole way.
And what had happened is he'd locked the car.
I think I had pressed the boot open button
in the car to double check
by mistake.
The boot would open and it had come back
rubbing the whole way
on the hyperlinks roof.
And it was just a sort of
12-inch, lovely battle score.
I'm like...
And that Ferrari paint...
Triple layer...
Triple layer of whatever...
25 grand for the paint.
Anyway, we sorted it out.
But it didn't happen here.
It happened in transit.

What's the weirdest storage request you've ever had?
It's quite interesting.
I get a lot of different people come here.
I've got people that have got a
£2,000 Saab
I've got people who have got a
£25 million de-type.
The people who
have the big boy cars
are pretty relaxed about where they're stored.
This one client who's got a £2,000
Saab 93
that is probably
maybe not even worth £2,000.
Maybe worth £500.
Do you modify storage always?
Has it cleaned?
I probably spent him £2,000 with the bills
for cleaning the car in the last few months.
Has anyone ever run up a bill with you
not paid and you've kept the car?
Yes.
That happens quite a lot in storage, isn't it?
Very much so, yeah.
How many cars have you kept?
I've kept not from paying bills
but from actually people
you know, popping their clogs.
I'm not telling anybody about it.
Have you sold any of them to me?
I'll tell you afterwards.
We had an old guy
15 years ago that had a beautiful car
and
he was a really good pair and suddenly he stopped paying
and I'm like, what's happened?
You know, tried to ring on his phone
he didn't have a mobile
he must have been like 91
kept trying to get in contact with him
nothing
and then I was like
do you think he's died?
Anyway, I still haven't heard from him
I then applied for the V5
I tried to find his next kin
Anyway, the guy didn't have any daughters
nobody to leave it to
the castle here
But it's mine.
I'll tell you after this broadcast
Is it for sale?
No.
I feel too guilty selling it
Just in case it comes back
He just went on a cruise for a while
You've come back and he's got no car
I've been away for five years
Where's my car?
Sold it
And that's happened more than once
Two or three times here
Lots of people that have these cars here
we're a business
but when somebody comes
I've got quite a few clients to say
please don't mention the Ferrari or the Bentley when the wife comes
because I've only got one car
Of course
So lots of people don't tell
the other halves
their wives
that they've even got a car in storage here
So do you have to keep your CRM system
and have a little note on all the clients' names
This one doesn't want the wife known
This one
100%
Once again
I kind of see the same thing
with people who come by car from me
and one time will come with their wife
and they'll go
Hey don't mention
There was one guy in particular in South Wales
and he will watch this
He will watch this and laugh
Is he being on the show?
He's not being on the show
Marked out as everybody
But he was a friend of Mark
It still is obviously
And
He
Just lived quite a modest-ish
house
but serious cars
F-12 TDF
A speciale
A perter
Maybe 10 big cars
And he came and he bought
a
Huracan perfomante coupe from me
and
brought his Mrs with him
and he said
Do not mention anything about the other cars
They were just kept in his own warehouse
that no one knew he had
and probably had
3 million pounds with the cars in there
When a TDF was worth 500 grand
and not 1.5
He had this
secret Aladdin's den
of cars
and he'd get up in the morning on some Sundays
and go for a drive with Mark
through the Brecken
and he'd put it back away
and no one knew
Love it
You've got multiple clients
Yeah
With having 300, 400, 500 clients
you have a
big range of
clients from different walks of life
and require
different things
What's the longest a car's been in your storage facility?
We've had a DB6 here since 1974
Really?
Yeah, a Swiss client
Pays his bills
Has he ever had it out?
No, that again
Over 50 years
Talking about cars being on charge
that has never been on charge
Batteries out and fluids out
Yeah, it's going to be a variety
But it's an investment for him
That car has just been sat
as a token
He'd give about 400 pounds for it
If that, yeah
Yeah, she lives
Have you ever found anything weird
in one of the cars?
No
Unfortunately not, I was trying to think of a good story
but no
Nothing's been left in the car
I bought a recent
last year
I bought, it doesn't make you laugh
by the way
She'll kill me for telling the story
I bought
a G-Wagon
a G650
you know
the Maybach one
And
the guys were cleaning the car out
and the guy left phone chargers
and like
chewing gums and whatever
as people do in the pocket down the door
And underneath one of the seats
he left this
I'm going to say it was
a horse whip
but I don't think it was
Not for whip but a horse anyway
It was a whip
and on the end he had a diamante handle
So it obviously wasn't for horse riding
It was for bedroom activity
And it's in a Maybach londelay
which has a partition
in the middle of it
So I'm like
I'm taking that home
What do you think it is?
She was like, oh my god take it away
That's disgusting
But you know, good time
We're only jealous
I actually saw that car too
Will Smith's videographer
Cool
And America
He didn't keep the whip though
What are the biggest mistakes
people make storing their cars?
Using the wrong provider
If you're not used to looking after cars
looking after clients
accidents happen
Lots of people don't know about keeping a car
secure, safe
You can't just turn a car off and park it
What sort of accidents happen?
I think especially with these new Ferraris
A lot of very, very flat batteries and dead batteries
Can you imagine leaving an SF90
with a hybrid battery
in somebody's
because it's 10 quid cheaper a month
in somebody's storage unit
They lock it up and don't come back for it
Yeah, they haven't kept the hybrid battery
on charge and then all of a sudden
you've got 60 grand
for a hybrid battery
and then the guy goes well
my insurance won't cover it
It's not covered up to that amount
and that's all because you wanted to save a tenner
because it's a very
it's a very
it's competitive market, isn't it?
Car storage
It is competitive but it's getting less competitive
A lot of people are using now
going like I'm not going to use them
because they've just popped up
Because of this reason
you're talking about something that
initially isn't very expensive
let's say £160 a month
it's not expensive
it's £40 a week
and
if you think
so I can get it done
by him for a tenner or 20 quid more
that's £200 a month
instead of £160
or I'll go for the guy and just doing it for less
It's like anything
You pay peanuts and you get monkeys
They take a lot of looking after now
It's such complex things
I have two guys here
that go on every single morning
with a clipboard and check that every single one
is on a green light and everything's
attached and running well
I've got two
And if people are storing cars at home
what kind of mistake do they make?
I think a bollard is very good with all these thefts
thefts
I think a bollard is a bollard
on a garage
is important
a standard c-tech battery charger
is important as well
You must be c-tech's best customer
How many c-techs have you got?
I have got, I worked out of the day
that I spent £93,000 on c-tech battery chargers
That's what I'm saying
You should get them to sponsor you
I have asked
They should
They definitely should
C-tech, you should sponsor Henry's Car Barn
And cars and money
Both
Spend £93,000
£93,000 on charges
They're not that expensive, are they?
They're not, yeah
They're not that expensive, are they?
They're not that expensive, are they?
I think we are the only storage company
as well that gives a c-tech battery charger
and a car cover for free
within that price
One of my clients had a situation
with a
with a LaFerrari
As you know
the LaFerrari comes with a charger
that's half the size of that coffee table
expensive
And the charger is expensive also
£25,000
So it has the hybrid system
which is a big three-point plug
that goes into the car
But then hanging off the end
which is also in the
the whole way you put the charger
is a connection
to charge the 12 volt battery
which starts the car
and runs the electronics in the car
And a lot of people don't realise
that they're both there
So anyway, he put his LaFerrari
into storage, I don't know where
I would say where if I knew
and he put his car
because it was a car that I sold him
and it caused me stress
because he thought I sold him a car with a dodgy battery
and we all know how much those batteries cost
Exactly, so anyway
we found out afterwards
that the storage company never had one before
didn't know how to store it
put the hybrid charger in
and didn't plug the other battery in
and it fucked up the whole hybrid system
Yeah
Have you got any LaFerrari's?
Got one in London
Cool car
What I've found as well
which thank you Carl
is that I always recommend
Henry's car bombs
but when they say where can I store my car?
Got my best client from you
How many cars has your best client got?
15
15 here
I'm not going to mention his name, 15 here
but probably another 3 or 4 in the next few months
I know him, definitely
and they say where can I store my car
and I say store it at Henry's
and it will start off
they will store one car at Henry's
and then within the next month
15 cars turn up
Keep them coming
and then vice versa
but then it goes both ways
If anybody's got a car to sell
who do I use?
Exactly
We all know that we'll do a good job at it
and it all goes down to service
I'm not going to recommend somebody who does a shit job
for them to give me it in the neck afterwards
and say they've caused me a problem
you told me to go there
but at the same time he's not going to say
look if you want Carl to buy your car
or buy a car from Carl
and they go and have a bad experience
they're going to look at Henry
That was an awful time
Thanks for that mate
We were quite similar in the sense that
we are both running our own businesses
and we both don't mind our mobile numbers being given out
so many people are like don't give my mobile number out
use him
use the person that needs me
ring me because I want the job done right
and I bet you get calls
middle of the night
can I come pick my car up?
100%
I was in the Maldives 3 months ago
and this guy was ringing me up about his exhaust
on his 570 and I was shushing my wife
at lunch and she's like what are you doing
you've got people for that
and I'm like he's a good client
but that's how we run our businesses
So
I know discretion is really important to you
and I want to respect that
and also do my job
so famous client
you've got who you can name
Can't name him
I like how you put that question in though
I know
That was done well
It didn't work, did it?
No, but he nearly did
You've got the famous client you've got
that you will mention
Yeah
I mean
my business is
I have this my Instagram feed
and I put lots of cars on
but they are people that want their cars
on my Instagram
95% of my clients
want their cars hidden away
car cover on
and no one to know
Okay
Sorry
I respect that
Very much true
Let's try it a different way
What type of client
don't have to name them
overseas
Overseas English
like someone who's moved overseas
or just a foreign client
Yeah
Somebody that has maybe
lived in the UK for a bit and has moved overseas
I just think some people
require want
demand another level of service
which is fine
which we can give them
and that's why I'm full of
lots of people from
Malaysia, Singapore, Dubai
Portugal
I've got a whole walk of life
of different clients
and their cars
are serviced and looked after
but coming from a Brit
I think a Brit has a very different take
on business
whereas somebody
might probably be the same
they demand a higher level of service
which is fine
So can't you just have
an overseas package
where you charge them double
I do
But I don't tell that
Because I don't speak your language
it's 100%
And then I guess they're not
as much of a pain in the arse
Yeah, I mean you think that
because they're overseas they're not going to
ring up as much but there's probably
more than that
I would assume
we have the same customers
The customers buy cars from me
and they store them with Henry
It's normally
for me
I don't like to call anybody a pain in the arse
because if they have an issue
then they shouldn't have any issue to start off with
in the first place
But the people who are
and it's not like they've got so much money
they don't care because they do care
but they understand what it takes
in certain elements of life
And they're the tightest people as well
That's probably how they got rich
100%
People who've got the big cars
who will store with Henry
they will probably be the most relaxed
They will be the most relaxed people
You mean big expensive
Big expensive cars
They are like
I might come back next week
You don't hear from them
I might want it out next week
They've got other things happening in their life
Law suits with millionaires
Exactly
I might want to get my car out
If it's a problem, I'm not worried
Don't worry about it
But then I would imagine
because my lower end of the scale
is I'll sometimes take a car into stock
and I'll think
Okay, there's profit in that car
but I just don't want to deal with
the person I'm going to sell it to
I don't want to have
What I'm going to earn out of that car
because it's not very expensive
and that market is so competitive
They want a brand spanking new car
Leave it to your Welsh friend to sell
Yeah, exactly
They want a brand spanking new car
but at seven year old
60,000 mile price
With a two year warranty
With a two year warranty
So I would imagine those people
who have those ilk of cars in storage
and it might be their only car
that they have in storage
They're probably calling you every other day
I'm going to say the word Porsche Boxster owners
I was going to say Porsche Boxster
Swear to God
He's bitten down on himself
I was going to say
like a Porsche Boxster
I'm not sorry, I don't care
Like a Porsche Boxster owner
I would imagine they would just be
an absolute nightmare
It's because
they've
I think it's because
something in their life is owed
or whether it just gets this
I don't know what it is
And they say you shouldn't
Tarnish everyone with the same brush
but
they are all the same
They are all the same
Would you refuse to take in Porsche Box?
Definitely not, no
Customers are customers
But sometimes they're all changes
Sometimes they're all changes
but 95%
Spider RS
Even worse
Because they're Porsche Boxster owners
with money
Which is the worst kind of car
owner
Everything's right
They know more about the car
than what Porsche has
We'll keep it at your own house then
They're telling you how to store it
It was quite windy last night Henry
Are you sure?
I will sell anything if there's the right money in it
You'll sell anything
But I look at that car and I think
You know what's coming
I'll deal with
any kind of stress
I'll pick up the phone at 3 o'clock in the morning
to speak to somebody if they need me
No doubt, no problem
If it's worth my while
If
I've earned
3 parts of 0
out of a car
And I know that you are going to torture me
You're going to call me in the middle of the night
You're going to call me when I'm on holiday
You're going to call me on a Sunday
I'll take the call
But not if it's not worth anything to me
And I look at it and I think
We'll take it in part exchange
I'll go you know what Rob
Just trade it
Let someone else wear that
So I've got a friend
He's in construction
And he does kind of high-end houses
And I was having a chat with him
And he's like
I will never deal with a surgeon
ever again
Because they're so exacting
When doing their house up
In the end they make no fucking money
Because they're snagging it and snagging it
It's a bit like your brother
They want to deal with my brother
They'll run to the nearest surgeon
And like so precise
Is there a type of
Person or career
That's like that with their cars
I've got quite a few doctors
Local doctors
And they remember everything
I say
It's a good thing
They sign their paperwork straight away
But they are very fussy
On how the car is kept
Lawyers as well
Kind of makes sense
Is anyone fussy in the sense of
Where it's positioned
They want it in a corner
I've got a lovely old guy
Who is 60
And he's got two cars with me
And he wants them
By the front of the doors with no covers on
And I said why?
And he just said I just like the cars
With no covers on because I don't want
The paintwork ruined
Which has just been at Topaz
I said the paintwork is perfect
I said I'll put a brand new cover on
People are scared that the cover
Is going to scratch the paintwork
Because dust particles get in the cover
I mean this is very technical now
Dust particles do get
Inside the cover of the car
Or a small piece of the grater
Can a dust particle scratch a car?
Yeah
Yes it can
Probably not
Not scratch it to the sense of
You need to paint the car
But it would then need machine polishing
From dust
Not using the right cloth
What are these cloths called?
Microfibre cloths
Got to be a clean cloth
And then two buckets
Yeah
We are surgeons
We're literally surgeons
I would not let you operate on me
A few beers later
There's my left kidney John
People see the super cars

What's something you can tell us
That you shouldn't tell us
But you can tell us
Yeah, that one
It's quite a good story
I can tell you because it's
It's available to all to hear
I had a very good client
Who was 22 years old
Who
Had a sharon
And his insurance book
Was 170,000 quid for the year
And he wanted to go to
He wanted the car taken down to Monaco
For a week
He was only limited to 500 miles
That car for the year
I've heard that a lot about
Shirans with insurance companies
Total mileage 500 miles
Had to be recorded
And I sent it down to Monaco
For him
We transferred it down there
I was expecting to get the car back
With
70, 80 miles on the clock
Had to do 1.3 miles
In the whole week
And he used it for his coffee run
Which was 0.3 miles for those five days
Just to be seen
Yeah, yeah, yeah
And he ran me off and said
9 grand I charged for that privilege
If you've given 170,000 a year
For insurance
Then 9 grand to have the car in Monaco
Where you want to have it
Because you want to have a coffee
That territory
Yeah
Some people can
Which car have you seen
That you've stored that's gone up in value the most
We've got a lot of these new Ferraris
These Ferraris which are
10 years old
44 30s goods
You've got a few of them here
Yeah, TDFs
I mean nothing's gone up quicker
Than the two cars that my client gave you recently
Well bought
Well done to him
Great timing
He bought a 599 GTO
And a 360
Challenge Stradale off me
Which as a combined figure was
Just short of a million
And then the GTO is probably worth
Over a million now just itself
And you had that car for a bit
Had it for 12 months I couldn't sell it
I couldn't sell it
I took it off sale
Because I thought you know what
I can see a trend going here
There were 6 GTOs online
Then there was 4 and then there was 2
And then mine was the only one
I thought you know what
I'm going to take it off sale
Bring it back in May
Which is obviously now
And the day I took it off sale
He called me
He called the office
Didn't know him new customer
And he said I've been watching your car
For 8 months
And it's gone
I'm like what do you expect me to do
I said but I actually haven't sold it
I've just took it off sale
It's no longer for sale
Why?
I said because I'm going to bring it back in May
I'm going to put it up 250 grand
And I'm going to sell it
He said sell me the car
So
I said no
I'm not selling you the car
So I thought you know what
That's just being greedy
And you're a car dealer
I'm a car dealer
I obviously have profit in the car
He was willing to give me the figure
That the car was on sale for
Every single penny that's been on sale for
For the last 12 months
This is stupid
And do you know what
I really liked his attitude
Where he was like look
I'm not going to mess around
I'll pay you now
Once again going back to the opposite
To box the spider
This was a no hassle deal
I said you know what
I said go on then you can have it
So he was like thank you so much
Blah blah blah
Then 2 days later
He said you also had a 360 challenge
I said yeah it was on sale at
260,000
10,000 mile
Really nice car
And he said
Did you sell that
Or is that off sale
I said you're not having that
You're definitely not having that
He said come on
No you're not having that
I said if I'm going to sell it to you
I want 300,000
And he's like it was only for sale for
260 and you took it off like a week ago
Nope
You've stolen the 599 GTO from me
I didn't want to sell it
You got that
If you're bending my arm today I want 300,000
So he said
I'm waiting for some money to come in
And I've got to juggle some things around
I can't do it today
I said well you can't have it
So then a week later
He's called me back up
And these guys are real character by the way
And he won't mind me telling this story
I won't mention his name but he won't mind me telling this story
And he said right got the funds
Ready to go can I have that car
I said nope he said not at that price
He said it's 330 today
So he said
You're such a
Can't say the word
Which I was being
But I honestly didn't want to sell the car
But
If someone asked me the price of something
I have to give them a price
I have to tell them
Even if it's unrealistic or not
And at the time it was a bit unrealistic
For that car
330
Today's price
I'd give him 100 grand profit on it today
So
I said it's 330
That's it
But that's today
Don't call me tomorrow
So he knows now if I don't buy this car today
It's going to go up again
So fair play to him
He bought the car
And
That was
He took the 599 on the Euro trip
And both then cars now
As combined he's probably
300
To 400
Up
If anybody could tell you that
I mean
Why this market
I think those cars
They were undervalued to start with
They were too cheap
They were too cheap
So they're always going to go up
And then take that
With a mixture of
There's a war going on in the minute
And no one wants money in their account
They want it in assets
Exactly
And then throw in a few unrealistic
Prices that cars have sold for in the US
What normally happens is
A car will go through
Barrett Jackson
Or RM Sotheby's
Or make an astronomical figure
But it's for a US spec car in the US
It's not really comparable to the UK
But it does have a knock on effect
It excites everybody over here
It does affect the market of
The car in Europe and in the UK
And it was just
A mixture of all them
Perfect sequences
Coming together
430 Scuds
16Ms
Speciale
GTOs
TDFs
GT2RS
Henry is also
A recipient of
Of that
He bought a GT2RS
I'd be so peeved if I hadn't bought that
Everybody else around me was doing well
Can you remember
It wasn't an easy deal
It wasn't like
Part exchange is not a green on the price
Which we always do
And
We've just finally done the deal
And it was a good car
It wasn't the cheapest one in the world
It was the market price
And
Carl Price's car is very
Honestly and very right
That's why we sell something
And in the last
Couple of months that car is just
You know it's gone up what
50% more maybe
I'm not a box donor
It's funny when
It's funny when they don't call you
When their car goes up 50%
But if the car went down 50%
Then call you at 3 o'clock in the morning
Tell you every single problem
It's now the car need a rigging me going
You see what Price is doing
I'm like
Don't worry about it just delete that message
Do you want to sell your car?
I just screen-shotted
What's it gone up by?
What's it gone up by?
Couple of hundred grand?
Realistically
Some people would be unrealistic
Two to 250 probably
You bought that one in
Christmas time
But he bought it like
Middle of the winter
Four months ago
Five months
Two to 250
On a car that cost
Shire 300
So it's nearly got up 100%

I know
You don't have the silver bullet
But we always ask
It's fun to discuss these things
What car do you think is undervalued right now
Or what cars
What might be the next one of those
Or what do you just think
That should be more
I think cars always match
The people with money
What cars they had on their vegetables
So I think people with
The younger were getting richer
So whether it's something Japanese
Whether it's somebody you know
30 years old plus, 30 to 45
That car was
On the bedroom wall
Japanese skyline
Did you see some of the skylines I went through
You were there
Did you see the prices of them
I can't get my head right
800 euros
800,000 euros
Not for one
There were a few
This wasn't a one-off
R34, M-spec, GTR
Whatever
I don't want to be super-spec
And look
That car, you get in that car
And you drive that car
It's a piece of rubbish
It's a 50 grand car
It's rubbish
And it's
Not a million pounds, but a million dollars
Aventadors are doing nothing now
60 to V12
I've sold five Aventador S's
In the last seven days
And how much are they going for
250
Do you think mine will start to go up
Yeah, I think it'll be piggybacked off that
Got to be
A car that I would say
And it goes right back to Henry
And we've had this conversation before
You don't think
When you think, oh, you know
1997
That was 15 years ago
That was nearly 30 years ago
And you look at cars from that era
Now
And you look at the buyers who are
40, 45, 50
That couldn't afford them cars
Had them cars done well in business
Made a lot of money
Always wanted a Diablo
And now you look at
Diablos were massively undervalued
And I'm going
97 car
1992
But I'm going
Diablos at the minute
Control the market
And I think they're just going to
Go through
I've caught them on the up
They've already doubled in price
In the last 12 to 18 months
They're just going to go
Through the roof
So they should
So they should
I'm trying to sell someone a Diablo
SV that I have at the minute
And it's 550 grand
Which I think is cheap for that car
Why is it cheap?
Let's look at the car's rivals
When it came out
Ferrari F50
McLaren F1
Porsche 959
And a Diablo SV
They were the four mega cars of that era
So it's undervalued
It's 550
An F50
Is 6 million pounds
McLaren F1 is 20 million pounds
And 959 is 3 million pounds
It's a Lamborghini Diablo
The most iconic out of all of them
So yeah
Anyone's got a Diablo for sale
I'm a sucker for them
I just buy every single Diablo
I bought one at the weekend
At the Iconics
That was like 15 minutes
I was there 15 minutes
Spent 900 grand on two cars
I actually
I think I saw you have a burger
I let Christian buy the Diablo
900 million pounds
It was funny
We're in the iconic sale at Supercarfest
I'm only there for two cars
There were some nice cars in that sale
But I only really wanted the two
And walked over
Sin Nick Whale
Who is the owner of Iconics
And
I knew nothing about the two cars
But I knew the Countache was a
5000 quattro valve
88.5
One of 14 right hand drive
Rare car
13,000 miles
Like I wanted that car
And then the Diablo was a 6 litre
VT
The last run of the Diablos before the Mercilago
So there's a black
So left hand drive as well
Which I think is really valuable in that car
And
That car
Is completely different to a Diablo
And completely different to a Mercilago
It's almost like a concept
It's like they were getting ready
To completely change the model
And they were just testing out different dashboard
Different sat-navs, different binnacle
Different everything
So I'm talking to Nick about the cars
And I looked at the reserves
And the reserves were very sensible
But when that normally happens
It normally pushes the prices up
On the cars
Anyway the Diablo is going through first
And we're bidding for the car
Me and there's another bidder in the room
Didn't know the other bidder
But I could see him bidding
So I knew there was actually another person in there
You don't know with these options
If someone's on the phone
And there's nobody on the end of the phone
And they're just going yeah
Yeah, just get the prices up
And
I'm literally at my last
At my last bid I'm thinking
By the time I pay the buyer's fee
And I've got to do this and do that
Like margins are getting tight now
And obviously the whole room is looking at me
Because at the time it's the most expensive car
That's for sale in that sale
The Contash is next, which is more expensive
So Christian's just looked at me
And like he loves the attention
He's looked at me and he's gone
Daddy said can I bid
So I went
Yeah, I said if we don't buy it this time
I said you can bid the next time
Like one of them you can have a toy next week
You know what I mean
Anyway the guy bid another five grand
And I was like oh I don't believe it
So before they even said
How much the next bid was
Christian's got his hand up
So he's got his hand up anyway
He actually bought the car
So that was the bid that bought the car
And then the Contash went through afterwards
And they both did not make
The money that they should have
I mean they really really really
Will undersold
I just think you get that sometimes
At auction, you can be in the right place
At the right time
As much as a v-spec Nissan GTR
Can make 850,000 euros
You can also have cars
That don't make the money
Just because you don't have two people
You don't have two people that want it
The guy actually came over to me afterwards
And obviously it worked in my favour massively
He said I'm the underbidder of the car
Nice to meet you
We really want to buy something like this
But when I seen you bid
I just thought
I'm not going to outbid him
I might as well just stop bidding
And I was like well cheers
Let me buy you a burger
If you do want to buy the car
It's going to be children grand more than I've ever been
I mean look that car
I'm not shy
Everyone can see what I paid for the car
You can see it all online
It was right place, right time
Sometimes I deserve a bit of luck
And I think with that car
And the Contash
What did you give for the Contash?
515,000
What do you think that's undervalued by?
Well one sold at Salon Preve
Which was an 88.5
Same colour, same car
Which was 6 weeks ago
For 800,000
Anything well?
That one might have made higher
Than what I thought it was going to
Which I think it did
But this one certainly made
Less than what it should have
Someone's got to be there to pick up the pieces
What about overhyped, overvalued
Any cars you think
You just don't get the hype and the price
I think it's modern hype
Because
These connoisseurs
These Pagani's
I just think paying 8 to 15 million quid on one car
Is ludicrous
I don't see the value in them
I like
In a relatively new car
Especially when you're used to walking around
Something with
A company with
Motorsport heritage
With a long history of stuff
Whether it be an F40 or an F50
Fine, I get those prices
But, you know, 50 million quid
With something that's got a diamond encrusted
Bidometer
Yeah, that's what obviously
We're talking about Conan's Egg there
When we talk about that
I had a conversation with a guy yesterday
Who's got a really special car
That I'm trying to buy up in Scotland
What's the car?
I can't say just yet
Just in case I do or don't buy it
But it's the only one supplied to the UK
So that's really why I don't want to take
And
This won't go out for a couple of weeks
I don't want to say
He called me yesterday
And he said, what's your opinion on Conan's Egg
And I said, look
My opinion on Conan's Egg
Is
Led by my experience
On Conan's Egg
So the Conan's Eggs that I've had
I've never had a Jesko yet
I haven't had one
I've had a few agarras
I've never had a Ruggera
Because I'm a bit scared of that car
With the one gear gearbox
So the new cars I haven't had
So I'm sure they're great
But the ones that I have had
Have been awful
And have had so many problems
But even them cast today
He threw up a car to me
He said, what about Conan's Egg CCR
He said, how much do you think one of them is worth
I said, well, how much do I think it's worth
For me to buy
Or how much does the market
Portray that it's worth
I think the car is a lot different from what the market says
The market says that car is
Two and a half million pounds
But that's the worst two and a half million pounds
You can put your money
And the people that are buying those cars
Are the wrong people for our industry
They are buying them as investment chips
And not using them
You're not going to get the same person
Buying a LaFerrari or an F40
These are people going right
Formally and quit is going to make me
12% over
The next 18 months
I just think it's
Ruining the car business or the industry
And is it pushing the prices up
Yeah, I think it is
Cars are becoming unobtainable now
For all the people
You're talking about
At the top of it pulls it up
It pulls everything at the bottom up
Ferrari 458 Aperta
Great car
One of 499
One of 50 right hand drives
Limited number
One of the best modern Ferraris
You can buy
It's a mid-engine V8
It's not a V12
LaFerrari Enzo
They're over a million pounds now
That's ridiculous
I've sold loads of
I paid
120 for my 458
I don't know it was quite a while back
But
It's not a minute
458 now
A 458 Spyder
Over 200,000
That's a bog standard car
Race seats
Some will make more
Remember the car I bought from
Your mate Matt
Michael Jackson's bodyguard
The 355
I bought an F8 Spyder from him
I remember I paid him
A bit less than 200,000
For his F8 Spyder
And
That car is for sale now
With another dealer
With more miles
The 325
F8s have gone up as well
An F8 is a good car
Super undervalued
But the value should be somewhere between
Where it was
And where it is
It should be 250
But now they're
50, 60, 70,000 pounds more than
What even I can justify
And it's 100,000 more than what it was last year
Do you think that's because of
That Ferrari
Bringing out or only supplying a 2.9 V6
100% that's the only reason
Is the reason why these V6
That's the only reason
They look back and they go
Because an F8 they never made them for very long
They made them for like 2 years
And they're a pretty car
They're a beautiful car
They are turbo
But they're non-hybrid
And
They look now at a 296
Which is hybrid
Which is hybrid
And the 849 Tester Osser is half a million pounds
And it's ugly
F80
So an F80
Costs less than 2 million pounds
And they're
6.5 million pounds today
For a 2.9 V6 supercar
What the fuck is going on with the market
It's called a bubble
You think it's a bubble
Do you think it'll burst and it'll all drop
Nothing has ever gone up so fast
And we all know that stuff that goes up so fast
Never stays up there
I think there's certain cars that
Will stay
Probably not come down but won't go up again for a while
Speciale is one of them
But
There is going to be a lot of people
Come Christmas that are going to be holding some babies
You're going to have some stock
And thinking
And I'm not buying into it
I'm not buying into paying
450,000 for a Pista
500,000 for a Pista
600,000 for a 430 Scuderia
You won't buy one from me at that money
Because I won't buy one to sell at that money
That's not the correct price
But
There is people that are buying them
And those people
Yes, the car has gone up a lot
But nowhere near to what people are
Paying for cars at the minute
But look, hey, what do I know
That could be very wrong
430s don't look very expensive at the moment
I mean, I know they're not like a special car
But a standard 430 manual
Is a nice car
Standard 430 manual is an expensive car
Is it?
Find a good manual
Honestly, not there
A good manual, spiders over 200,000
360 manuals
360 70,000
It's a great car
Are they 60 or 70,000 anymore?
Probably not
I looked last week
They've probably not
One thing I will say
Is that there is no
There is no brand
That you have more
Comfort with
When investing money than Ferrari
Everything else does go up
Lamborghinis have gone up
I was going to say McLaren's off
But they've a couple have
Only one
Remember we had the conversation with Schmey
By 675s
They've gone up 75%
You're joking
And I tried to sell you that car
And I was very close to buying it
Tim's car
You had a grey one
I had a chicane grey
I bought it from you
My one
One Catalina
I bought the car from Henry
I bought the car from Henry
And that actually came in part exchange
Against the Gigi Torres
And what did you have that on for
About two?
I had it for ages
Took it off sale
That's your new strategy
Put it up 10 grand
It went from 209 to 219
209 to 219
Something's happening
And
What are they now?
That car's over 300
But that's got to come down
Why it's one of 500 cars
It's undervalued
It's not that it's gone up so much
It's just that it went down way too far
That car went to sub 200,000
I bought my first one off you for 330
And I bought that chicane grey with
I bought that for 330
You paid less than 200
For the car that you bought from me
And I gave you your money back
Do you remember
Thank you
Tell my wife
And a big gain over there
Purely gains
But you know what
That's why we do so much business
Henry's so shrewd when buying cars
He knows what to do but he understands
There's not many people know more about cars
Or the car market than him
And you know he can see a trend
And he'll put his money in a car
And you know what
And he said earlier before we started filming
I do believe he buys cars that he loves
To use them
And he does use them
And then when he's finished using them
Because he's bought right
Honestly 9 times out of 10
I give you your money back
100%
Almost free usage
It will definitely work out over the long run
Definitely free usage
100%
All that enjoyment
Is a clever buyer
I like all my cars to have a use
All my cars have got to have use
Whether it's taking the children to drive
No, as in
I've got a house down in Cornwall
Which I'm lucky enough to call my second home
It's Land Rover City down there for me
I've got my beach car
Which I put all the kids in and I hate mess
If I can go down there and keep one car
Full of sand
It's a Land Rover 110
Which has been converted
We've got wooden floorboards in the back
And all the kids can do what the hell they want
And I can come back
And a clean Range Rover
And I can breathe when I get back
So you go down in and
What do you go down?
Go down in the Range Rover
Go down in the full-fat Range Rover
And then park that up
Do not get anywhere near it
Into the beach car
And I've got a little fit down there
I've got some series ones down there as well
Land Rovers
I've got to keep up with Gordon Ramsay
17
He does love a Land Rover
What is it you like about them?
Because they make all my other cars feel great
Because they're so shit
Because they're so shit
They're also though
For you and your lifestyle
You put on shoots
You go to a lot of shoots
You live that country lifestyle
And you have to be
It's great having him here
He's telling all your stories
That's how we work so well
An original shaped Land Rover
Represents you
A lot
I've got a series one with a pizza oven
And a bar in the back of it
There's just one with Stripe out there
Is that yours?
I bought one from him recently
I don't even know what it was
He just told me to buy it
So it was a Land Rover
It was a Land Rover Defender 90
No roof
And no windscreen
And it was converted as a speedster
But
Lando Norris has got one
That he mooches around Monaco in
And it does look super cool
Massive off-road tyres
All the back was decked wood
And the back had a bench
So six people could sit in the pickup bit
And three people could sit in the front
It was a cool thing
I'm selling this car
You should buy it
I thought I don't know what that's worth
I haven't got a clue
He told me to buy it
And I sold it
Amazing
If you put a car in your showroom
It's not going to be a car that you sell
That somebody wants to
Is going to be their first car
That comes to buy a Ferrari
And it was a cool thing
If I seen it in somebody else's showroom
Or somebody else's garage
I would look at it and go
That is cool
The Warwickshire version of Land Norris
Yes
What other cars have you got?
Land Rovers
Land Rovers
I've got three daughters
I never really travelled with my wife anywhere
She normally arrives later than me
So we arrive at situation
Friends
We take two cars a lot
Why do you do that?
I don't want to argue in the car
There's too much time to bring up stuff that I don't want to talk about
I'll meet you in formal three hours
I take two cars to my places
Because you don't want to argue in the car
If I'm in the car
Very similar to Henry
Or anybody else that owns and runs their own business
Is
I'm not in the car and the phone's off and I'm driving
The phone is going 24-7
When I'm in the car
I've got three kids
8, 7 and 6
They don't sit there reading books
Like they have a full-on royal rumble
In the back of the car
Then my wife's phone's going
And she's like, where are you going?
I've got this guy calling me up
I want to take my own car
I'll put one of the kids in with me
Which nine times out of the ten is Christian
Because he just loves cars to another level
And he was a good boy
And
The girls just go in another car
It's a bit over the top when we arrive
Somewhere in two cars
He's seen me pull up to the school before in two cars
Take the kids to the school
Take the kids to the school
You go on your own
I'll take one of the kids to the school
Rarely, because it's not really on my way
But if I'm going to say to London
Because they go to the school in Stratford
If I'm going to London, I'm going south
One of the kids will jump in with me
I'll drop them off and then Mitzi will follow behind
That is called doing your bit from the environment, by the way
And both his cars, by the way, are 6 litres of V12
Yeah
So a few people
Really love the Rapide
But you haven't got normal Rapide
Rapide MR
People don't appreciate
That there are 47 right-hand drive
Rapide MRs
119 built
47 in the UK
36 I think in the UK now
They're a really rare limited car
Is that a dailyable though?
Is it? It doesn't go wrong all the time
It costs a lot of money
It does go wrong
You learn to live with them
But you're okay with that as a daily
Part of the puzzle
It sounds amazing that car
It's one of the best
No hybrid system
Choose to refuel
And now obviously
The price is doing well
Because now Aston Martins are
The Mercedes 4.0-litre
V8 engine aren't they
So the V8 4.0-litre
This is a 6.0-litre V12
Which is the proper Aston Martin engine
People can't get that anymore
And then what else you've got
My two RS
I have got a
A daily
Alpina D3S
Every car I love has got an Alpina
Which I didn't really know about
Until 8 months ago
I don't know
They're quite a quirky thing
They're just a BMW
With some different engineering
But it's quite nice
Undercover car
I spent 50 grand on it
45 miles to the gallon
Is it manual?
Is it manual?
No automatic
I thought they were manual
But it's a cool car
I've got a
Rescue British Racing Green
Big Range Rover
Which I use for going down to London
I've got a lovely green Db6 as well
Which I love
Kids love it as well
Green is my car
He's had some cool cars
So he had a Land Rover Bowler
Do you know what that is?
They built it for the Dakar rally
This thing was
I had one off for you
You've had a few of them
I had a green one off for you
I had the Bulldog
Which was the second one
I like quirky cars
Also I like some stuff
Down this Marlon Drive
With lots of lovely fields
I need something that doesn't really like tarmac
We're actually going to do a deal now
On this podcast
We had a phone call yesterday
And you said to me
I'm looking for something cool
That the doors go up
And we've got talking about your
Aventador S
And that car now is not really a car
That I'd want back because
I sold it to somebody who sold it to somebody else
Who I think the car has been on higher
A shit ton of miles
I'm finished with that car now
He's very particular with his cars
But
Yesterday
I did buy
Another Aventador S
The fourth one this week
The fifth one
In Balloon White
I'd better not be green
In Balloon White
I'm not sure if it's
It's still showing 12,000 something miles
Or it might have clicked onto 13
But all carbon exterior
Full Lamborghini service history
I know what
Something is arriving
Tomorrow
I might just drop it off
And let you have a look at it
Dangerous
Sounds like a good idea
It's my wife's birthday in September so we've got time
We've got time
Do you love cars a little bit less now
You're kind of like a car brothel aren't you
In a way
I think you get used to
Having these amazing cars around you
Don't give a second look
To a car that to 15 years ago
Would have gone wow that's a cool thing
I'd have gone and perved over it
For 15 minutes
But now a 250 comes past and you don't really give
A second look which I try
To regain my love of cars
By
Different things
Doing more reading up
Doing more background
Reading at night about different cars
And knowing about their history
Which makes the love come back
By a Diablo
That'll make your love come back
I used one over the weekend
Of a great car
And it brought back
Like I remembered
Why I had that car on my lap
It's important
I remembered
People go like
How does it drive
It drives amazing
Which is what for that era
Of car most of them
Do not drive your hero car
Such a difference between a Contash
And a Diablo
But
I just think that
Reignited
A spark for me
Which is important for us
Getting in that car and driving it
And thinking I want one of these
I want one of these
Only because I drove
That car to Supercar Fest
That was the reason that I bought the 6L
Because
I just thought these cars
They're so cheap
Do you think this could be your
Always had one lovely car
It definitely could be
It definitely could be
Do you know what variation I've always
Lusted after though
Is
Just a standard Roadster
A VT Roadster
Pop-up headlights
I like the ones with pop-up headlights
Later on they made them
Clear headlights, I prefer the pop-up headlights
You know
Viola
SE30
And
SE30s
1.4 now
1.4 million pounds
For a Diablo SE30
3 million pounds for a Diablo GT
I watched my dad pay
80,000 pounds for a Diablo GT
In
2003
You paid 80,000 pounds
For a Diablo GT
That car's 3 million pounds now
And by the way
Good luck trying to find one for 3 million
It's not like putting values on these cars
But there's no
None to sell
For me, and we're at a similar age
The Diablo really sparked
My
I was like
I want to drive, get out and drive
And I was like I really enjoy driving
I don't want to go home, I want to take a detour
And I did, I used it for the whole weekend

What car do you
Always have most regularly in storage?
Aston Martin
Being located so close to Gaten
Aston Martin, we've probably 20%
Aston Martin's
Is it the older ones or the more modern ones?
Everything, everything from
Vantage's to DB12's
To new shape Vantage
All shape Vantage, everything
Real mix
So I know what cars you've had
Over the years
That I've known you
And
I don't know what you had before
I kind of do but I know what you've had
Because a lot of them you've had from me
Give me your top 5
Cars
Doesn't necessarily have to be
In financial order
But it can be
Maybe what they meant to you
What you enjoyed owning the best
And what cars they were
My father's original
Which hasn't left the farm
1951 Land Rover Series 1
Which is in the shed
Never ever goes wrong
Has a new battery every 10 years
You turn it off for a year
You come back to it, start it
Was he the first owner?
He was a one owner in 1951
Really? Never left the farm
I miss my
Again
Keep myself of selling it
Much like SV
Great car, horrible to drive
But a cool statement
And a cool to look at
Made a good noise
Why was it horrible to drive?
There's gearboxes in them
It's just a big
Heavy
Clumsy gearbox in it
As long as you know how to drive it
It's a big heavy clumsy car though
It was a track focused car
With stripped out this and stripped out that
And it's still super heavy
But I knew you were going to say that
That's
My bola obviously
My green bola
We did some crazy filming
For one channel
Which was me going across the fields at 160mph
Sideways
I've seen the video
We've got a field that runs along the fos
So the farm is split in two
And the fosway runs through the middle of it
I'm on a Saturday afternoon going up and down
Racing traffic, not on purpose
Going up and down this field
Which is a big 90 acre field
And I'm running up and down the field
Next to these cars
Doing 130, 140
Easily overtaking these cars
And I suddenly see this YX5
Going down the road
And it suddenly stops under the road
Turns around
Comes roaring into this side road where I am
Sirens on, under cover
SO 19
I'm like, oh god
But you're in a field at this point?
I'm in a field, I'm fine, I've done nothing wrong
So say to this policeman
You know, after an officer
Everything alright? Not really
Whose car is this? It's mine
Oh, okay
It starts becoming a little bit nicer
Who's field are you in then?
I'm in my field
This is where I live
Okay, cool, cool car
And then the dynamic
Changed completely
Radio's going off, radio's turned off
You could hear this ch-ch-ch-ch-off
So what car are you talking about?
Can we go in it?
Of course we can, anyway
Still properly armed
They ain't leaving their cars
Leaving their guns in the car
Can you take me up and down the field?
Yeah, yeah, anyway, I do this for like 50 minutes
His mate's filming
He's like, right, you film me now
Up and down, up and down
Do you mind if I go and do something with my wife?
He goes, yeah, so sorry
We've been there for literally an hour and a half
Saluted off we went
He did actually say
We've often talked about this car
They follow me on Instagram
He said, this is the one car we would not want to have a police chase with
Because you're just going to feel
See you later
So you've done over
100 miles an hour in your field
Yeah, quite several occasions
What's the fastest you've got
To on your kilometer long drive?
In 119
Right, before we have to hard break
Before you've got a hard break
We talked about that last week
Yeah, in that
BMW
Yeah, it was an M2
An M2 competition
Which is a fast little car
I was like, how fast have you got up
He's like 119
Fuck me, I nearly smashed it
You see what happened
So I'm going up your drive
And I'm not trying to beat the 190
Of course you are
And I've gone up the drive
And he has a right hand corner
Deceivingly sharp
But what I didn't look at
Was there was a transporter with six cars
Coming around
So I ended up going straight through the drive
Into the field
And stopping the car
And coming back
What day was that?
He's going cameras
I'll send you that video as well
But that's a deceiving corner
It's hard to carry a lot of speed
Around that corner
So you've got two more cars to pick
Left
M3 CSL
Which I wrapped in green
This was the E46
Love that car
I shouldn't have sold it
I just love that
As every owner of a CSL
Is the induction noise
So I had it
Converted by Dara
Every M3s to six speed manual
It was a great car
Lovely car
What sort of money are they now?
Well that's another car
Again, none for sale
That's another car that you think
Where's the value in that
I remember
A very good friend of mine
Bought a 3,000 mile
It's not long ago
A 3,000 mile M3 CSL
With the number plate M3 CSL
I think he bought that plate
He sold them both through collecting cars
And I know he bought the pair
For I think 90 grand
And I was like you're off your head
I can't believe you paid for that
I mean that's ridiculous
He's like yeah but it's the best CSL
Anyway he sold it well
He made money and we sold the plate
But that combination today is 200 grand
Yeah and the rest
Okay then your last one
My last one
It's probably my repeat
Really?
I really fall in love with that car
I love an Ascent
I love a UK car
I love British engineering
That's why I love my Land Rover
And I love the Land Rover brand
Love the Aston Martin brand
Are you up for walking around the barn?
Yeah I mean
We'll hand pick some cars because he's got like 400 cars
It'll be until Wednesday
What about
Trying to guess some of them
What they are from under the cover
Yeah we'll put you to that
Shall we see
Alright
Alright let's go
So we're in one of the storage barn
The dehumidified barn
And we're going to play a game of guess the car
So Henry's going to put me to the test
To see what my knowledge
On a car is covered
It is
So we can start here
It's a Ferrari 458
Correct
This is quite easy
What is that?
This is an F40
What's above the Lotus?
That's a Lamborghini Gallardo
Is it manual
Or is it e-gear?
I think I solved that
I think it's an e-gear
Spider
And you didn't even need to see inside
I didn't even need to see inside
Rolls Royce Cullinan
I can see that because they're quite distinctive
That's the bank job car
That's a bank job car
All of Henry's cars have always been this car
They're all green
All of his cars are green
Go on, what's this?
That is an XJ220
You can just tell
This is a hard one to guess
Oh shit
That's an LMP1 car
Yep, bang on
The brand
Aston Martin
Bang on
There you go
That was good
The bum of
That's a bum of an SLR Roadster
No
SLS
Look at that
Again, it's all by you
Let's try this
This is a cool car
So that's a Lamborghini Strato
That is a LMP1
Yes
For a lot of people they'd be like
How do you know this is a 599 GTO
Exactly, in a beautiful colour
And then this colour
I'm not going to say what else
It's a BMW
It's a
I don't know what kind of BMW it is
M3
It looks smaller with the cars on
10 out of 10
10 out of 10
Thank you for the show

About this episode
Henry’s Car Barn opens with the reality of storing ultra-expensive cars—everything from an “18 million pound Ferrari in London” to a “white Lamborghini Perfumante convertible” delivered unexpectedly. The hosts get into the logistics behind it: insurance, battery charging tiers, daily checks, and why some clients want cars kept secret (even from spouses). They also trade stories about Monaco deliveries, strange requests, and how collector-car values move—sometimes driven by scarcity, auctions, and “modern hype.”
