Well, I guess today is the only kind of car update, so... That's right, you can work in your cars because it's your own holidays. Yeah, it started on Monday here. Nice, Scotty. Hold on. Get on with it. So I want to service it. So I thought I'd better buy everything. And it takes... I think it's like 6.1 litres.

So it's pretty much just 6 litres, really, because you'll have a little bit still left in there anyway, even when you try and empty it all out. So I went to Repco because I got diary, CV, discount, thingy as well. So I thought, I'll have a look there. So there's a couple other things I wanted to grab too.

I was having a look and just weighing up and then I have a look at one oil and I like, okay, do I buy two of those? Because it was so hard, no one really stocks one-litre ones anymore. So trying to look for those. I thought, I kind of wanted this pen-ribe one, but then... So I picked up the good Castrol Edge, 5W30, I've got a five-litre and a one-litre, and that will come to like 133 bucks.

I go towards the back and ask the lady what oil filter that I want. She's like, yep, got that. Start walking down and in the middle, they've got this big display of big 10-litre drums of the exact same oil for 80 bucks.

Oh, wow. 10 litres for 80 bucks. Pretty good. That's really good.

So they got it on clearance because it's bathar special. So it's just got bathar stickers on it, so it's just down on clearance.

Did you buy two of them for next time? No, I just bought the one. Yeah, fair enough. No, I just thought. No, that's okay. I'll just buy the one.

Scotty, you've got to fulfill the VFM value for money. If it's not VFM, it's just not good enough. You've got to do that, Scotty.

What's the RRP percentage of that you've got on that, and then you've got to work that out?

Yeah. So massive savings on that one, I was wrapped because it originally was going to cost me a quite a bit.

So they have the section there as well where they've got some pot wheels and I grabbed some. So I've got a Toyota Chesa.

I'm at 25 bucks. And I got a pretty good, they got a pretty good selection there.

I've got some really good ones that I haven't really seen before. Yeah, that's, that's pretty good.

Uh, probably. Because if it is, I might go get myself a drum for the forest stuff.

Not fun. Last week now. It's been a week ago. Wow. But both of us come down with a cold,

that was great. And we've got back. Standard trouble. Yeah. If you really love cars you've got to go

to the UAE, there's every car under the sun over there. From your Japanese cars, your Chinese,

your Euro cars, your supercars. Oh that's just my transit car. They fully read up. Yeah.

Oh no way. That's insane. Yeah. That's cool. You got the teddy on it. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. It's got a lot of dish on it and some roof racks and stuff like that. That's crazy.

racks. So it's going to be in a movie called Empire State. And there's what's the

the guy who gets all the prop cars. Yeah. He's got a whole lot of car collections himself that he

uses in the various movies and whatnot. Yeah. Cool. And sometimes he ends up buying them and whatever

he does. Yeah. Yeah. Just for movies. So he's got, yeah, first, first 10 access to the stars and

the cars. That's pretty cool. Yeah. Yeah. So yeah, going back to

Dubai, that was fantastic. We had a Corolla Cross. So any problem with Corolla Cross is you didn't

realize that the speed limit was slightly higher than Australia at 140, 160. Just slightly.

The CVT was really dying when I was trying to keep up with the other cars. That's a big

ghetto for a UAE, man. Where's your Lambo? Where's your Merck? Oh, I was slumming it. I'm not

like how do you J-Wagon or you know, a year or something. But every second car was a J-Wagon.

You see Nizbo patrols. Nizbo patrols. It's just like it's an upside down world. Yeah. Like

everything's just bigger. More of 10 lanes down a freeway like you know, it's nothing. And then

you've got four lanes across on each other to exit. And if you don't, you're timing it right,

you miss the exit altogether. And they're just kind of cross eight lanes. Now we're in the car,

just go. You look at what else? It's just a different different way of driving.

Yeah. But it was good driving from basically Abu Dhabi into Yassal on every day to the Grand Prix.

Was an experience on its own and went to Ferrari World. Had a look around the air and went to

the Louvre. And there's so many things to see. They've got a movie world. You know,

it's a sea world, a wet and wild park and just yeah, you can spend days there just doing all

that sort of stuff. Yeah. So have they gone about the route of like build it and they will come

kind of mentality like that's pretty much it. For sure. Sure. And they build a bigger, better,

yeah. So it's just amazing. Just pumped into the gym. Yeah. In a shopping mall, you know,

you've got ski shoes. And you know, and you know, again, aquariums and stuff like that within a

shopping mall. You know, it's just it's just it's a spin out. It's just the money. And the service

there is like I think second to now a never experienced service like that anywhere in my life.

Will you roll up to your hotel and just open the doors for you? Give your ticket, take your car,

take all your bags up by the time. You know, you're checking your bags already up.

And if you want, there's just nothing's too much. Yeah. Well, I mean, when you got money,

of course, nothing's too much. But no, we weren't living, you know, sort of extravagantly. Like

we're staying at a core type hotel. So it wasn't high in, but it wasn't low in hotel either. Yeah.

Just mid-level hotel, you know. So like so mid-level, so like seven star for the six and a half.

Six and a half, yeah. You know, but we did stay at the W Hotel. That was another level hotel.

That was like a thousand dollar a night plus hotel. Yeah, we stayed one night in Dubai there.

At the W and they've got their own five star restaurant, you know, with DJ playing on the

other side and stuff like that. It was just outdoor bars, outdoor everything. And private beach on

the palms, stuff like that. It was just, yeah, it was different. It's good to see how to

reach live. It was only short-lived till it was only for five days. So obviously went, you went all

three days. Did you? Yeah, went to the F1 at all three days. So Friday, Saturday, Sunday, which was

a bit disappointing. No crashes on the Sunday and you didn't do what you're supposed to do. Yeah,

you had one job. Yeah, you didn't do it. No, you didn't do it. You know, he had the opportunity

and he didn't do it. So it was very disappointing. But I kind of want to max to win at that point.

I was just like, yeah, I want to rather receive maximum. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. But anyway,

it is what it is. He won't win in that race team ever. I don't think they won't let him.

So did you see the audio like afterwards? Oh yeah, they're going to go cut off by like the

American guy. Great job, Oscar. Yeah, sure. Yeah. Yeah. And I was just like, like, you say for the

crap, man. I'm like, what is that? That is just that was it. It was actually it was comical.

It was comical. Absolutely comical. But anyway, that was the actual atmosphere. It was great. It's

about 48 dollars for two beers. But you could still get beers at the F1. Yeah, certain. Yeah, it's

not the strictest guitar. I think so. Okay. Still can't get alcohol in places, but it's very expensive.

You got the money. We get whatever you want. Yeah. Yeah, pretty much. Yeah. If you want to pay for it.

And even like takeaway macas is pretty much an all that takeaway stuff is pretty much on par.

To Australia, not much dearer quality was pretty good actually. The burgers and stuff like that.

It's funny. It's funny. The one thing you do when you go to another country is you go to test the macas.

Yeah, absolutely. It's just like. Yeah. Is it different?

So what was that wrong? Japanese macas. Oh, it's next level.

It's nice. It's nice. It's like, well, we are going to be at Japanese macas.

Stephen, I like for breakfast because like the muffin meals were like perfect.

And she had the shrimp burger because I called her the shrimp burger over there.

Yeah. And she and I was like, well, again, not for me. She's like, it was incredible.

Yeah, the shrimp burger slaps. It's so good. Incredible. And it looks like how it's supposed to look

like when it comes out of the, you know, the photo is much. Yeah. Yeah. It's the weirdest thing.

Yeah. Oh, it is. It is. And I've got a burger. Yeah. Mac is the other day here.

And I go, look at it. And I go, oh, that's disappointing. Like really.

It's all I've just had. No, it's yeah. So anyway, but eating out restaurants is on a higher end.

So you look at it, you know, $120 for two people, the $40 for two people.

And it's nothing extravagant whatsoever. We went to an extravagant restaurant one night,

the five star up at the hotel. And that was like, hey, we only had one course. And that was like

200 bucks, I think. Yeah. So, but again, the cars, you just can't, if you love your cars,

you've got everything there. You got, you can hire a, you know, a Lambo Porsche, Ferrari,

McLaren, you can hire all those cars there and drive them around.

Speed limit. Is that got, so they've got $3,000 shipboxes?

They've got shipboxes there too. Yeah, you can probably get, you can definitely find shipboxes.

I've seen a few shipboxes around. We're probably not as many as we have even here.

But there are some around. So, but the speed limit's a fantastic. Like, you know, I can say,

160 in the out of off the main highway. It's so sick. It's not twice, but it's 160.

Well, go check us out on the, there's the safari on a Toyota Sequoia ship. It's sort of a,

I don't know, but it's a station wagon. Yeah. So they've had to beef up the suspension,

the actual radiated system and all that to cope with the heat. But they reckon they're doing

300,000 kilometers of most cars. Yeah. Yeah. That's crazy. Let's, you know, how cheap is fuel?

Fuel was, how much was it? How many girmals fuel, Harley? It was $1,000. There's better dollar

or leader. God damn. Oh man. The cheapest thing in the world, like in that whole country,

like water, milk, everything. It's cheaper than that. Yeah. It's cheaper to buy fuel there than

yeah, even a soft drink. Yeah. I think I pay $8 for a can of coke somewhere once, you know.

So, again, yeah, it's not comparative. And you're supposed to be a tax-free

lifestyle. And yet it's so expensive. I don't know why. Obviously there's a lot of other

taxes and tariffs and local sort of duties that they put on. But again, going back to

they've got everything from like I said, a higher euro stuff, you know, all your every Japanese thing,

you could do various Japanese cars. I can't remember which one I was that I've never seen here,

but they've got a lot of Japanese cars. So a lot of imports and stuff like that as well. But again,

brand-new Nissan patrols, which we haven't even got yet already on the roads. And like I said,

they've got Nizmo's there already, you know, stuff like that. Yeah, it's like, it's awesome. Awesome.

So definitely should have got high-day Nissan patrol and the new ones are going to be pretty good.

I hear they go out of 300 kilowatts or something. Yeah, they're going to they're going to boogie.

Yeah. So looking forward to test driving one of those one day. And yeah, my van was in the movie

and they've got that prepared and sent that off to the studio. When I got home.

And it's going to go back to the movies in mid-January for another final two-day shoot.

Oh, I think I think you need to keep this man. Absolutely. You know, especially if you're

getting your money. Keep the library on it. Get it signed, you know. Well, the left alone,

the actual all the the news stickers or whatever you want to call it, the badging. Yeah,

the decals on it for the movie in January. So I said, look, just leave it on there.

It's because you buy a car at the start of the year and then take you nearly a year to get it

on the road. And by that time, you get pay register. Yeah, maybe. Maybe you want to get on

If you buy it, you buy it as a summer project and then it takes you all year to get 12 months to fix it.

It's been a quiet few weeks on cars.

Uh, I went for a drive on Saturday to

the Dalesford sort of area and

just had a day out with my wife.

Um, drove her car just because it was

nice and comfortable in that area.

Yeah, no, it's been quiet for me, man.

I've been flat out with work.

I haven't had time to do anything.

But I've ordered, you know, I've got a few car parts

here in there which is, which is good.

I managed to get a set of center caps for my camera.

Oh, did you?

Yeah, so...

I've been scaring the interwebs overseas

and everything.

I've had people tell me, uh, good luck.

Uh, shoot dub was a comment.

Um, good luck.

Good luck.

Um, but then it turns out this guy in Western Australia

had a set of wheels.

He had three wheels and I only had one cap.

So I was like, I was like, would you

consider selling the caps separately?

Or, um, or would you, or how much for the wheels?

Turns out he's in WA, which is...

Bit of a hike.

Um, he responded to me.

He's like, yep, um, wheels are still for self.

If you want to set a three wheels, um,

200 bucks, which I'm like this, not too bad.

He's like, you want the caps?

I've got five.

So I don't know how he ended up with five caps.

Yeah, just, um, but he's got, he's got five caps, but three wheels.

Um, so you go, go figure that one out.

Uh, and he's like, get two, uh, the plastics have broken on the back,

but you can just glue them back on.

You can have them for a hundred dollars.

Nice.

And I'm like, okay, well, that's a bit easier to ship.

Um, and he's like, I don't do shipping.

I'm like, I'm like, okay, what if I send you a satchel,

you know, like a post satchel, you know,

and you just put it back in a thing to send back to me?

He's like, yep, can do that, um, but that'll be $10 extra.

I'm like, what, what for?

He's like off of fuel.

You know, I'm, I'm like, I'm like, oh, really?

It's just the post box.

I'm just just dropping.

He's always like, man, I live in the middle of nowhere.

And I look, I don't look very lived.

He's literally in the middle of nowhere.

So as close as post boxes like 20, 30 K away,

I'm like, you know what?

Okay, I'll give you the, I'll give you the extra 10 bucks

to drive it out there.

Just a bit of fuel in your car.

Um, so, so I was like, okay, uh,

Did you just buy the caps?

You're just the caps, yeah.

Oh, okay.

So he separated the caps.

Yeah, happy to.

Yeah.

Well, it's like, I'm like, oh, I don't need the wheels.

So, and they would cost like $500 a ship.

Oh, my god.

So it's like, you got a really good deal.

I think I've got a good deal.

Um, there you go.

Uh, you know, mom's like, I could have done

you a chat deal with, with, yeah, with them.

But I was like, you know, I don't need them.

I've got set of five.

So, um, don't need, don't need them.

But I'd rather just have the caps three fair.

So you've got five caps.

Five caps.

And plus the one you have.

That's not so scarce.

So, you know, I'll lose one.

That's okay.

I lose two.

Any more.

I'm in a bit of trouble.

I'm in a bit of strife.

But that's pretty much completes that car in terms of like,

you know, it was pretty good.

Yeah.

And I love the wheels in that car.

I think the wheels look sick.

Yeah.

So, um, I might get a set of spaces for the rear.

Just the pop them out a bit more, um,

because though the, the, the rear track is a bit inner,

more in compared to the, compared to the, to the front track.

Which is, which is kind of different.

But again, the V6 has got, you know, a bit more,

it's a bit of a widest thing.

Yeah, wider, wider knuckles.

Yeah, correct.

I'm going to bump it out by.

I think five or 10 mil, not by much, um,

just, just to make it a bit more flush with the front wheels.

And because like there's a fair bit of, you know,

I put my hands underneath the guard.

I think it's just, it's just, it's just make it look,

look a bit nice on because, because they are.

So we have ones that I used

previously kicking around at moment.

Dad's, I can have a look for you.

That would be a nice, if you could, Scotty.

You think they're around about 10 mil?

I don't think I did any more than that.

That's all you need, real life.

It feels about five or 10 mil.

I didn't go anything huge.

Well, for most car, five or 10 mils,

all you need, really, um, slip on.

So, and it, and it just gives it a nice bit of a, you know,

um, and I, you know, I, I've got nothing wrong with doing that

just to fill out the, fill out the arches a bit more.

But again, we'll see how we go.

Hopefully, hopefully they hear at some point this week.

Then what else have I done?

Did something else come related?

But I can't remember what I've done.

I'll come back to a bit.

Oh, you know, I'm restoring the, the 17s I had on the,

on the, on the, on the laser.

Like those measures, the 17s that I had.

Um, because they've just got aroused.

Like you would have believed.

And the ones buckled, it's off to get that rolled.

But we had a, we had a super cheap, um, a, you know,

clearance item of, of a wheel repair kit.

Okay.

I was like, you know what?

What's the hum in trying?

Um, if I cook it up the wheels of stuff,

then he won't start going to bother me.

So I started using, uh, I started using that.

And yeah, it's, it's, it's really interesting.

Like it's, you put it on and it hardens really quickly.

So like you don't have much time to like to flatten it into the grooves

and, and work with it.

So it's just like some sort of filler?

It's a filler.

Yeah, but it's like a premise for it.

So it activates with air.

So as soon as the air touches, it just, it's just hardens.

Yeah, it was really quick.

And within four hours, it's ready to sand.

Wow.

Like, like, and it hardens like metal because it's like a, it's, it's proper metal,

which, which I've never seen anything like it.

So, so my first wheel looks, it looked like like something

and someone had just put like put all this stuff on it.

But, um, that's because I could hear just, just, it was hardening too quickly.

But, um, but then I got the hang of it and, yeah.

So I'm going to set, in the process of sanding that one back.

And then I might, I might paint on my gunmetal gray,

um, just for something different.

Um, and then, yeah, sis, say how they go.

Like, I mean, I like the, um, the RPF ones that are on it now.

But I think, um, yeah, it'd be nice to just get them fixed up and put them away.

Yeah, it just has spare.

So, and as I said, like, it cost me, it cost me virtually nothing for the repair kit.

I was like, what's, what's the harm in trying?

Yeah, absolutely.

They're already mounted.

Are you just going to give painting them yourself?

Yeah, I'll paint myself.

Yeah, yeah.

So, um, it's a lot of paint of wheels before.

Yeah.

Um, we, uh, with, with Anthony, we had a good time painting.

Our hatred drenelands for our, for our, for our, for our,

because there were like a $20 set of wheels, um, for our, for our nugget race car,

we painted a flurory grain.

Nice.

I was the best.

Did you just put like cards down the, uh,

between the higher and the, uh, we actually, we didn't have to,

because there was no ties on them when we got them.

Oh, nice.

And we just sprayed, sprayed the, they looked like, uh,

but, but, but by the, by the fourth one, they got quite good.

Yeah, um, so, and then it didn't matter because we put semi-six on there

and they just got caked up with brake dust anyway.

But, yeah, they were, they were great.

So, yeah, I'm keen, keen to give that a go, uh, at some point.

Possibly when I want to get back from, from my holiday,

but yeah, it should be, it should be nice.

It is obviously our last episode of the, of the year.

Uh, let's have, we're going to have a bit of a recap on all of our car related

channel against, um, any interesting things that have happened this year

and things we're looking forward to for next year in the car world.

Interesting to see how the car world has been shaped in the, in the past, I don't know.

Now, I reckon the last 15 years with cars, the, the difference from,

from before to then has just been exponentially.

It's been nuts.

So, I think we've talked about that a fair bit with, in terms of like a, a change,

but, but let's start with the things that we've had this year that have been

highlights for you, like there could be, there could be things that you've done,

events that you've been to, cars that have come out.

So, what would have been the highlights for you and what are you looking and,

and we'll, we'll touch on what we're looking forward to for next year.

So, let's, uh, let's discuss that, gentlemen.

So, one of you guys enjoyed from this year, what would have been the highlights,

the standouts?

I think it's some good car shows.

I think for me, the standouts being Magna 40.

Magna 40, yeah.

It was, um, it was, it was, it was like, I don't know, I was talking about it a lot in this show,

but it was, it was a great event, um, yeah.

Great bunch of people met listeners of the show who flew down from freaking Newcastle,

um, you know, like just crazy stuff like that, like, it's incredible how small,

but also big that the car community isn't, and that kind of really personified that,

you know, you know, in a car show for me.

It's, it's the, it's probably one of the best things I've ever been to.

Um, what about you, Scotty?

Um, I was probably manually swapping the skyline, um, getting that all done,

and I did that.

Yeah.

And seeing Scotty Sky at, uh, that was that last one already wasn't the first time out.

Or was that this year, this year, this year, this year, this year, early this year,

when I was, yeah, since, um, when you first got that car out to, yeah.

Just didn't think that I would, I just didn't think it would work.

Mm-hmm.

But yeah, there was some dramas and things where I thought there's no way that magically this clutch

is aligned properly and is going to engage and disengage.

And there's not going to be any warning lights.

And all I had to do was bridge these two plugs together.

And it's going to work.

I was like, there's just no possible way.

And it was just perfect.

I love, no dramas.

I love all cars because you can do that.

Now, I think with your manuals, I'll be stomming similar.

Yeah, I'm sure it's going to do it.

I'm going to speak to you Scotty.

I think to see how you worked out some of those, you know, automatic neutral lockout.

Yeah, and all the drama with that stuff.

So, yeah, none of that, none of that was me.

It was the forums.

Yeah.

But now still up.

They just said what you've got to do is plug this brown

with it together and just bridge it together.

So it thinks it's always in neutral.

That's awesome.

Now, I was going to say to you, did you?

It must feel like such a better car to drive as a manual, right?

It'll be just so much more engaging and enjoyable.

Yeah, it's completely different.

I mean, I guess I don't know what the auto really felt like because it was pretty much

its first outing in blue.

It just wouldn't change it to gears or anything.

You know what, it's down.

It's quite funny.

You got that car registered.

It got it registered.

And then like the first time you took it for a proper drive,

like transmission blue.

Similar to yours got back to Adelaide, which was incredible.

It did it over a thousand Ks and it just died.

Yeah, yeah, I mean, yeah, Scott, how many kilometers did you do on the automatic transmission?

Oh gosh, you know, because it died at a broke at 250,000.

So who knows what more could have been on it?

Yeah, could have been a lot more.

Did you notice the difference in the weight between the automatic and the manual?

What do you mean?

Like how heavy the difference has been in terms of weight?

As in how much the gearbox weighs?

Yeah, the weight, yeah.

Yeah, the auto is a lot heavier.

Nice.

Yeah.

As Chad said,

like non-equilo and non-equilos of disappointment.

Maybe more.

Very out.

That was that was one thing I had to pretty much drag out from under the car

and then drag it to the curb.

Oh, actually, I think I got my brother Mitchell.

He helped me pick it up to move it.

But when I got the manual box, I could pick that up by myself.

Yeah.

And I could hold it up there underneath by myself.

But not for too long.

So I had a jack, I had a couple of jacks under there to kind of help me

and put it up there and wiggle it into place.

And I think that was probably the hardest part was

getting it to line up and slide in there.

Because you kind of jacking it up and wiggling it all at the same time.

And you're working in such a little tight space

because the tunnel and everything was really tight in there.

And you're trying to move the start and motor out of the way.

And it was pretty tight and fiddly.

You get it on the right angle because the engine was already obviously dropped as well.

Yeah, it was on that angle kind of help a bit.

And it says like just get the right tools.

Yeah.

You know, have a big difference.

Have bits of wood lying around too.

I don't know how.

I was going to say that's probably one of my highlights of the year seeing that car

drive and you enjoying it and using it as a manual.

Like it's just like the grand unveiling it.

It's a career.

It was great.

And Rob was impressed.

I've never seen Rob more impressed in my entire life.

You are hard.

You are a hard man to be impressed Rob.

And that was and he was like, well, good job.

He was like, well, it's the big rest from from our friend Rob.

It meant a lot.

It's a big undertaking, Scotty.

Yeah.

Pretty did in the driveway too, you know, by yourself essentially.

It's just like.

And a progress stories with the vacant lot and being able to have that vacant lot mixed

all, you know, when you do get do get angry, you can throw paths across the bank.

It's good to know.

Absolutely.

Well, let me do your menu.

So I think we're going to need a hoist chat.

I think it's just just easier to talk.

I think it's just going to be easier to get the car to a place where there's a hoist.

It would have been so much easier, like trying to get underneath it.

Even I had the, what are they called, the garage creepers, even with one of those.

You still got it up, you know, high enough.

But you want the car still that bit more higher to get your hands underneath.

You have to leverage like your arms.

Because you're kind of picking up this transmission that if you're over the top,

yeah, you can pick it up.

If you're holding it up about like, you know, halfway high or something,

yeah, you can lift it.

But when you're squished down like this all the way down underneath,

I know people can't hear what I'm showing.

But, you know, if your arms, I guess, pushed all the way into your into your body,

it's very hard to get that leverage to push it up.

It like becomes a lot heavier.

You're going to be able enough to put your knees up and hold it with your knees,

well, and try to.

Yeah, exactly what I was doing.

I was down the, I was down the back end of the car and using my legs to hold up the front end

part along with having the jack and then I'd jack it up and then it would slip on the jack

and it would roll and twist.

I'm like, oh, I can't twist.

Trying to twist it back over again.

Yeah.

I have PTSD from being under a car trying to hold up a gearbox.

It's just the least fun thing I've ever done in my life.

That was actually the worst thing.

Yes.

That order was horrible.

Yeah.

Again, it's the whole thing of not having enough space.

Yeah.

Got to have it on the horse.

That's the top, uh, top gear top tip I was going to say.

Can't talk, talk, talk, talk, talk to the top tip.

Your transmission swap on a horse, yeah.

This age now, like, you've got to have a garage creeper lane on concrete for that long

the next day.

Oh, my God, I swear.

I had bruises somewhere.

Like, I could just feel I was that sore and all parts of my body.

Yeah.

Back hips, everything.

It was just so sore.

Yeah, well, we need to find someone with a hoist and we can, um, yeah, just spend a weekend

just swapping it over and be happy days.

Absolutely.

Oh, it's, I can't wait for that kind of manual swap because it's,

I said, I offer you my hoist, but you've got to need to move five cars, two bikes and

the car's dry.

That's right.

The overall, they all look, do they roll?

They all roll.

They all drive.

I mean, they take you open that offer, Rob.

And you're going to help do a work and be cleaning out the garage.

So I've got P-76 parts, Mustang parts, F-100 parts.

They've not got all my Harley parts and then, you know, all the other bits and pieces,

you know, I have from various other cars.

Well, but I'm hearing is a, uh, Facebook marketplace bananza.

Absolutely.

Well, it's all worthless.

It's really not much.

No, it's going to be worth something.

Well, somebody.

You should, um, go to like, you know, where they have the, just a market,

you just set up your own stall and you just have all your parts out there and people can

just, you know, go, oh, yeah, how much for that?

You're probably sold a fair bit that way.

I think I've, yeah, I've got four P-76 carburetors just sitting there.

Yeah, did there any, uh, whether, not whatever, strong books.

Probably someone needs, needs one on, on the groups, right?

there's a lot of my, my neighbors, they've just stripped.

So, every time I try to reverse in a drive out, it's right there.

It's like, ah, hate it.

We can leave a 90 kilo gearbox on the ground.

The ground, yeah, yeah, yeah.

What do you do?

Like, lift it.

It's a 90 kilo, you know, with a quarter cone.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, move, you can move the cone, you can park it.

Turn, we'll paint it red.

Yeah, yeah, we'll just spray paint it red.

Spray paint red.

Spray paint, spray paint, it's a bright stripe on it.

Yeah.

We'll make sure the input shaft's concreted into an nature strip.

We'll put a lockson in and then bolt it all up.

Like bolt the actual, um, bell housing onto the concrete.

No, that would double the bolts.

Can we, can we actually roll it out in the ground?

That would be amazing.

I mean, that's a better use of it that's big in a car.

So, absolutely, uh, you put a nice wheel on top of it

and then another bench top and you can have a, a table that spins around.

Oh, yeah, it could be the, it could be the, the neighborhood table.

Just a bit of imagination there, Chad.

Yeah, I mean, I don't, I don't want to spend any time on it.

Yeah.

All our gearboxes aren't so bad.

Yeah, they're not bad if I should be right.

Yeah, yeah, you guys keep saying that.

So yeah, Scotty's, Scotty's gearbox,

highlight, Chad's gearbox will now be an ornament.

So, so, so, these are the highlights of the year so far.

Well, what else has been a highlight of your year was, uh,

Lando Norris Whitting, the Formula One World Championship,

a, a highlight of your year or disappointment.

Yeah, no, yeah, no.

Okay, that's not for me.

No, for me.

Yeah, that was, I think that would be the same for, for a lot of people to be fair.

So, um, anyway, moving on.

Uh, what are some, have been some other highlights?

I think for me, our highlight is actually the, and you guys are going to probably

disagree with me, but I think that the new prelude is kind of a highlight.

I think it's kind of a cool looking car.

I think it needs to, I think they've been very tight lipped about it because,

um, they're probably planning a performance version in the works.

So I, you know, if they release a, like a type R type S version,

I think that that'd be, you know, something to be celebrated like, you know,

a sporty coupe with that sort of category.

I think that, I think that's been a highlight.

Um, I also think other highlights have included seeing some of, uh,

seeing the game be it shaken up by the shark six in, in Australia.

I know, I know Rob, you've driven a shark six.

Um, and it's, you know, it's quite, it's quite good from what I hear.

It's, look, uh, the actual fit and finish and everything on the car itself.

And, uh, and sort of reading it and seeing a few write-ups about it,

the greater antenna, I believe, but they're not a good trade, you can't.

Yeah, okay, GVM, you know, you can't put too much in it because of the batteries,

and it's already at its max almost, um, and then towing capabilities and whatnot.

They're, they're doing like 21 liters per 100.

They're doing worse than diesels.

Really?

Yeah, towing and, and out in the, the outback roads.

Okay, that's, that's good to know, right?

All the, but all the plug-in hybrids are the same.

So the, yeah, the Ranger, um, the BYD, and also the, uh, what was the other one?

The, I think it was the LDV.

Mm-hmm.

It's the WM, maybe.

All right, LDV just possible, you know, what was it?

Yeah, I've been, yeah, one of those, um, plug-in hybrids, so they compete three of them.

And they all pretty dump fairly poorly in, in the outback, but as I ran a town, you know,

ran town, uh, commuting and occasionally going out to the bush, fantastic.

You can plug in your, you know, your little induction hot plate and

running and all that sort of stuff, and they need to run generators because you can use it all

off the car, um, as soon as you start towing and, and loading it up.

Yeah, not great.

Not great.

Yeah, it's, it's gonna be interesting, because like I'm seeing a fair few of them in the road,

um, quite, I'll probably see two or three every day, I'd say, which is something that I, uh,

you know, it, you know, it's just, I'm, I'm like, I mean, you have it if not more, um,

yeah, I'm starting to see them like I'm seeing ranges, which is getting quite concerning.

Um, but, but no, it's, you know, I think it's a, it's a cool proposition.

I think it's the technology still got some ways to go, but overall, pretty, pretty cool.

What has been some other highlights of 2025, gentlemen?

Uh, seeing the Tasman fail.

Oh, man.

They can't get rid of them.

Everyone knew that from the start.

They get go like, what were they thinking?

This is going to be a quiz question later.

So I'll, I'll, I'll touch on that a little bit later.

But I think, I think they're just so far up their own back sides.

They don't even realize care.

Like, like, they're just like, no, it's, it's, it's, you know, it, it should be selling 50, 40,

40 to 50,000 units a year.

I'm like, mate, it's, it won't be selling more than 10.

Like, you know, I mean, it's so, yeah, it's lucky to be doing that, I think.

Oh, man.

There's a hot version though, isn't it?

I think it's like X, X line.

I think there's like the top of the range with the, uh, look at all the fat.

Yeah.

But it's, it's underpowered for the, in, in, in, in comparison to the competition.

It's, it's, it's quite capable.

But it's, uh, you know, as soon as you're underpowered and then you look like a dog's breakfast,

um, you kind of really in a bad start, aren't you?

So, yeah.

But good highlights, Scotty, um, facelift, hopefully incoming, um, with, uh, with more powerful engines.

you know, for the first time, that was great.

every, every week, you know, there's something new that comes up or something happens, which is great.

It's always good to see, um, you know, Dave's wisdom and, and, um,

it's, um, car sales.

Yeah, it's a bike swap itself.

It's a marketplace, so, um, it's dodgy dealings.

It's dodgy deals.

And poor Rizzie Riz, you know, Rizzie Ross, yeah.

He's, um, he's working hard, man, like every second week, he's in China.

They're quite, quite literally, they, they just keep flying him over for like new car releases, which is,

yeah, I mean, there's no shortage of those.

Yeah, there's one every two seconds.

It's like, oh, okay, sure.

It's always good to go on a junket.
