If I wasn't going to run a Makuni, I would just run
an old school Keen because like a Keen CV carb
because they'll start every single time.
Like they always work.
So the problem with the Makuni is that because you're not
sandwiching it in with an air cleaner to the motor,
there's really no way to like hold it into the manifold.
And I'm sure that somebody has seen some shovels
with the carburetor on it.
I just haven't done any research yet.
But I kind of prefer that instead of that way you have
an actual choke instead of an enriching.
Or richer or whatever the hell it's called.
So I really wanted to write it down here.
It didn't work out.
I still am learning a lot of stuff about this bike
so that I can hopefully push it, you know, to one ocean next year.

So what does this look like?

Texas Hills has kind of gone through a couple of different transitions on, you know, like
what the main focal point of the show was, but it always centered around riding.
So.
None of that has changed.
So last year we did a two day event where we had a full ride day.
At Lindahl Breaks Compound and we let Gotti rides out there and we had food and music and
I think people were bench pressing too.
I might have held the record.
I don't know.
But you did not.
I actually did hold the record for the most 135 reps.
33 reps in a row.
Jake didn't.

We didn't let him do it.

So back to business.
So last year we did a two day event.
The day one was all the riding at Lindahl.
We had three riding guide or three guided rides.
We had food.
We had beer.
All for free and stuff.
And then day two was at Radio East.
Shut up.
Shut up.
I'm trying to be professional for a second.
And then we did at Radio East, which is a new venue to us.
Yeah.
That was super, super well received.
So the radio conglomerate has a couple different locations in downtown and
east and a south and stuff.
And so we did at the east.
They have like resident food trucks are always there.
They have a full coffee bar.
They have a full wet bar.
They have sunshades.
So people aren't dying the whole time.
They have their music stage.
And so we had, that was our main event aspect of it.
And so over 2026, we brought on a new partner, Teddy Morris Cowboy,
Harley-Davidson of Boston.
Yeah.
They're working with us in a big way.
They're doing Boy Billy.
Bad Boy Bill.
You've talked to Bad Boy Bill, right?
Yeah.

So this year...
He sold me a bike.

So this year Cowboy Harley is on in a big way.
We're going to be doing more activations with them,
and they're also supporting us,
enabling us to be able to do more with the show.
So that was a really big deal.
It just made sense to take it to the next level
to be able to offer more at the show
to partner with a dealer.
And we wanted to partner with someone cool.
Yeah.
So this happened to work out.
There's a lot of great people here.
Me and Mikey have been in and out of this dealership for years.
So it just felt like home.
Made sense.
So along with their help and participation,
it's going to be a three day show for 2026.
So it'll be May 15th through the 17th.
15th will be the Cowboy party.
So bike night, soiree, like, you know,
some extra fun stuff that we're not putting out yet.
Saturday will be the legacy Lindahl event.
So we'll do it there.
We'll have music.
Free food, free beer, free water,
and guided rides from sponsors and special guests
are coming from out of town.
They'll be guiding rides to the Hill Country for everyone.
And then Sunday will be Radio East again.
We're super fortunate that, you know,
the organizers and management at Radio East
really enjoyed the event
because we really enjoyed having it there.
It was a great place.
And now that we've kind of like
bounced it to a couple locations,
you really get to see all that this area has to offer.
It's not just like in the city of Austin.
It's not just in the Hill Country.
There's tons of bars that people come here
just to go and hang out at
and have parties and stuff and vacation.
So you get the dealership stuff
where you get to see the new bikes
and demo ride them and all that stuff.
And they'll have deals going on
for the whole event weekend.
And then you get to go out into the Hill Country.
Lindahl is right off Ranch Road 12,
right where the devil's backbone starts.
So you're in the Hill Country all day
seeing all those cool places.
Mikey and Dustin know every spot to go there.
So it's always a good time.
And then you get to go back to the city on Sunday,
hang out at a really cool place
that isn't like traditional city vibes, right?
It's still like very much so like a Texas place
when you think about it.
Yeah, it's on the Oscar to the city too.
So it's like, not like you have to go through downtown.
You bypass the city.
Exactly.
But as soon as events done,
when it's getting dark,
you could go straight into the city
and it's three miles away from downtown.
Do your microphone like on the other way.
Yeah, because otherwise it'll muffle it.
Yeah.
So yeah.

So with the partner.
When I see him, I just want to talk shit.

So with the partnership with Cowboy Harley-Davidson,
we're also doing a bike build with them.

So Project Texas Wizard,
like he doesn't like the name,
but I already put it on paper.
It's because I had a bike called the Wizard already.
It's a Concord Grip G-Sport.
It's purple.
It's a wizard.
It doesn't matter.
I named it.
It's on the paper.
So what's the,
what is the goal, premise and direction of this build?
So Mikey just wanted a low rider ST.
So we decided we were going to incorporate it
into the show anyway,
but we're working with all of our main,
main partners and sponsors for it.
So original garage motos outfitting it with
bars, risers, a top tree,
all their covers and stuff,
all matching and chrome crash bars.
Lindahl brakes is doing wheels and rotors on it.
Custom dynamics and saddleman are putting their lights
and their seat touches on it and stuff like that.
And it's going to be an interactive build
the whole way through.
So if you're seeing this,
you've seen this after the end of year party
when we released that we're doing it.
And it's going to be a floor build the whole time.
So in conjunction with the dealership,
the dealership is doing all the installs on it.
They'll be building it on the floor,
live during events.
And you'll have your product specialist there
to talk about everything.
And every night that they do that,
they're going to do additional promotional prices
on those products.
Right?
So if you're in the market for getting a little more price.
That gives people like an incentive to come here
during these build.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And you know, believe it or not,
a lot of this was the dealer's idea.
You know, like we came to them and said
we wanted to do a bike.
And they said like let's,
you know, like let's make this as
advantageous for people as possible.
Like how can we use this to give back to them?
Right.
So the floor build, you know,
learn more about the parts,
learn them,
see them going on and stuff like that.
Right?
And we'll build a community.
Yeah.
And you know,
and then offer them those special discounts
for coming in during that and stuff like that.
So it's a lot of cool parts to it.
So the bike will be done right before
the Texas Hills event,
probably early May.
And then the first ride will be let out
with that bike in front for it.
So if you can imagine.
We just swatched.

Brand new wheels.

It's gonna be fun.
The check-in lights on.

I have a lot of faith in a lot of the guys here.

So yeah, so we're really excited about it.
You know, there's, there's plenty of events throughout the year.
You know, if you open up a year calendar and say,
I want to do motorcycle things, there's tons of things to go to.
No matter like what corner of the country that you live in.
But a lot of them that, you know, a lot,
I think the performance oriented and,
and like rider focused like motorcyclists have been going to
are not necessarily riding focused and performance based
type of events.
Right.
Like everyone goes to Daytona except Jase.
Jase doesn't go to Daytona,
but everyone goes there.
I've never been here.
Okay.
So I go to Daytona.
I would like to fly me out.
Yeah.
Put me up and, you know, I will, you know,
I'll go with you.
Yeah.
I'll put that on the way.
But there's no riding to be done out there.
Right.
Like, and there's lots of events that people go to
because all their friends are going
and there's something to see.
There's not really riding, you know,
focused on it.
So that's really what we're focused on here.
Even on Friday.
We'll probably do a meet up somewhere else to have
everyone riding the cowboy together.
And we'll take it off that whole week and I'll be
riding showing people around the whole week.
Yeah.
So if someone's coming to town,
they want to go ride,
I'll have rides playing the whole week.
Well, I think this cool.
Y'all did it last year.
And you kind of always done this,
but like you do like these lead up rides that
you put on to where people, you know,
all over Texas will come out for a day to do something.
I probably said this last time we talked about it,
but I think that it would be so sick if you did those,
but they were like overnight stays places.
Yeah.
Like a ride to go to Dallas to go to a bike night.
Yeah.
It'll be hard to get people to want to cruise down
35 for three hours, but it'll probably be core.
Do you know what I mean?
Like if you were going to do it,
like say if you did a Saturday ride,
I know that you kind of do the bar thing.
Yeah.
But when it's slow, like this winter, I can't.
Yeah.
So if you did a ride, like say, hey,
we're going to, I don't know,
fucking said place, said town,
we're going to Marvel Falls,
but we're all staying at the Hampton Inn
or the Hall of the Inn.
Yeah.
And it creates this different experience
and communal vibe that goes on because of
you do the riding during the day,
but then there's the socializing
and whatever you do at night.
You know what I'm saying?
Well, it's also just,
when you make people do stuff together,
they become better friends
because they all go through an experience together.
Every time they see each other,
they can talk about it,
talk about memories.
It's cool.
Yeah.
We could go to the Riverside H-E-B,
or not Riverside H-E-B, Riverside Chili's.

They're going to be in the same spot the whole rally with all their inventory, you know
But for a brand like ojimoto, a lot of those parts aren't
Like impulse buys, you know
You know, they're people, you know, like the life cycle of those parts

Like it's something that people look at for a little while and then when they get the opportunity to see it in person
They want to do that so going to those like one day shows that has a big crowd and then
Going, you know 20 minutes down the road and doing another one day show you can get a little bit of a different crowd

Yeah, but other than that it just you know it the wing the wing got taken out of its sails once
But that kind of happens with dealers, right?
They get like the perfect storm of people in there and like and it becomes really cool and stuff like that
And those people move on to bigger and better things and they have to rebuild, you know, like it's like it's like bars
They need to re-face and re-you know, it's just a life cycle of the newer age of stuff
But I should have like 2 a.m. Like kicked the door open everyone's sleeping. I walk with half a pizza
I just go to everyone's bed. I'm like you want pizza? You want pizza?
It was funny. It was it was a riot
And they left the doors open and the doors were almost like at head level on the bed
So you could see all the beds looking back and forth. It was it was a riot dudes staring each other while they sleep

But it's you know a lot of the things that I would say that I'm enjoying about this actual chopper
This hardtail is not that bike
And people can't argue about it being a chopper

I don't think I would ever get involved in the argument of trying to say what is or isn't something
But I know that what I am on now on this purple bike is a chopper. Yeah, of course defined by the majority of people

You know if I was the dude that only had you know a weekend off to go ride this bike and
I'm spending an hour and a half trying to get started in the morning

He had a shovel when we lived together. He sold his shovel. I was about to buy it
He got a panhead and I was like, oh perfect project starter. He's gonna give me a good price

He got a crazy deal where like I couldn't compete with it at all and it
Would have set motorcycles in a completely different way one. I probably would have never quit drinking, but
I ended up getting you don't have to drink to have a chopper dude. You gotta do you gotta do harder drugs

I got a fx dx and then my two roommates had choppers one had a sporser chopper always started
And then the other one had a shovel head and we'd be like leaving work at three o'clock in the morning
It's 30 degrees out and he's like kicking it kicking it kicking it and yeah leaving the bike at the bar and stuff like that
Just well, there's just there's a lot to this that it's like you're figuring it out
Because I can kick it over way quicker than I could when I first started doing it. I'm learning
He was also 21 like I can I can hear the motor. Okay. This is an actual compression stroke
Versus it's just another you know cycle or whatever
So you start to kind of learn these things
And I think that once I've got some time and I've learned this bike and I need to probably
Dial some more things incorrectly
And then I think starting it'll be easy much easier
And I you know because all my friends are on choppers their choppers aren't hard to start
Yeah, you know, but everything's fresh and new so it's just getting it dialed in
