were kind of living a sheltered life, I

think in the Concord, Jalopnik posted

this story. It turned into a zoo in

Monterey Car Week seized 22 arrests, 199

citations, and one seized ghost gun.

>> I witnessed one of the arrests. I didn't

talk to you on Sunday.

>> This was fantastic. What did you see?

Okay. I'm walking back to parking lot

11. Yeah.

>> Okay. For after the whole big show on

Sunday. very large, very drunk man

going, "I'm just trying to get my wife

to her car." Okay.

>> And three cops going, "Sir, that's an

open container. You cannot cross this

street. I'm just trying to get my wife

back. Let me just take my wife home."

And then I walk past him. That's going

on. And then I just hear the wonderful

sound of shattering glass, which was my

cutest spin to watch three cops trying

to take this 6'6 in guy down who was

really drunk. And it was great cuz they

were really struggling to like handcuff.

>> Our show ended at noon. So this guy,

this is Sunday. This is Sunday. Sunday

is about 5:30 p.m. like the end of the

show. And uh it it took a lot. And then

of course the wife who's equally drunk

walks into the street turns and starts

screaming bloody murder at the cops. It

was so good. It

>> sounds better than the show.

>> Right in front of the the Mercedes

Maybach.

>> I guess he was one of seven arrests.

Then there were 137 traffic stops, which

>> I mean that sounds normal. there. I

thought there were a lot more police

officers than normal. There were a lot

more Lamborghini guys and a lot more

craziness and a lot more hoonigan

hoonery and hooning like everywhere.

Like we were noticing there were all

these car shows going on in the woods

outside of all the hotels which is wild.

>> Yeah.

>> 13 vehicles towed doesn't seem like a

big big deal.

>> One driving while under the influence.

That's your guy. 320 parking citations.

One arrest involved a 31-year-old man

who allegedly smashed the windows of two

McLarens with another come after it

stopped for a possible DUI that turned

in the previous mentioned ghost gun.

>> Nice.

>> Someone brought their ghost guns to

Monteray.

>> Nice.

>> 15 arrests, 15 total.

>> Reportedly related to outstanding

warrants. So, so Ratamak was there.

Reckless driving, driving under the

influence, unlawful possession of a

concealed firearm, and sexual battery.

>> Is this business as usual for Pebble

Beach, and we're just now reporting it,

or has it changed?

>> I think that's that's not 15 arrests out

of like I mean, how many people show up?

>> 100,000.

>> I don't think this is business as usual.

I think it's I think things are

disintegrating and well and and we

didn't even get to the amount of ladies

of the night that were at the Spanish

bay which I had not seen before. I

thought that was

>> and you were in communication with one

of them.

>> He was not in communication. Now wait

you can't just drop a bomb like that

without explaining what happened. Let me

let me back up and set the table about

what happened with the alleged

So, right around I can't believe we're

already here the beginning of

Bay. It's 6 o'clock Friday night, right?

And we like to go down there because we

like to go have a uh we like to have a

ginger beer, but but a lot of folks

getting ready for dinner, getting ready

for their night out. And it's a scene

and you and I had a meeting with someone

to talk about something that we were

working on. And we sat down at one of

those little hotel lobby coffee tables

with four chairs around like a couch and

and a chair. Zuckermanman at the head of

the table, me and this other fellow

we're meeting with, and there's an empty

chair there that soon is occupied by a

middle-aged woman in a short dress.

Right.

>> Right.

>> Who sits down like she's visiting us and

with us, but she's not. But it's a hotel

lobby and it's just like whatever. It's

like an airport lounge. Someone sits

there, whatever. We have this meeting

for what, say, an hour

>> at least. Yeah,

>> at least an hour. We're chatting. She

stays for the whole thing. I noticed

she's eyeing that very watch that he's

wearing right now.

>> That looks a cheap watch.

>> Magnet,

>> Johnny.

>> That's not a cheap watch, Johnny. This

is a cheap watch. That looks like an

expensive.

>> That's roofy bait was what that is.

>> Yes.

>> At 6263 gold. Is that what I'm looking

at?

>> Yes, sir.

wearing a chef that's repellent,

up around the same time, hands Zuckerman

that paper, Zuckermanman, what does it

say?

>> Okay. You know, I had seen her earlier

before you sat down talking to two other

waiter who also seemed a bit of a

>> and they all seem to be coordinating.

But it but it struck me as odd behavior,

you know, just because, you know, it

just didn't look like what was happening

normally in this hotel.

>> Even if they tried to dress, it wasn't

quite

>> You don't see single women walking.

That's why you don't see single women

walking around. You see a bunch of

>> car event.

>> It's a car event. One, you see a bunch

of doofus old white guys who have too

much money and too young of a

girlfriend. Right. Right. And then there

are female journalists and stuff, but

everybody's with somebody. Like you'll

see like the the the PR team from Aston

Martin which will be all women

>> traveling packs.

>> These women were definitely talking

together then separating and looking for

dudes

>> and our waiter. I don't think he ever

waited a day in his life. I think he

purchased this position so he could run

the floor.

>> You used a word to describe him.

>> Yes. A pimp. And and the pimp. And at a

certain point he took our drink orders

and 20 minutes later we didn't have a

drink. Spike got up to go to the bar to

get her drinks and he said to he said to

you, "Sit down. I'm trying to help you."

>> And there was a certain threat.

>> I didn't know what that meant at that

point.

>> Sit down before I punch your punch you

in the head.

>> I'm trying to help you. I meet girls to

your table or whatever it was.

>> And then whenever he bought something,

he didn't place it down as a waiter. He

just handed it like he was handed you a

plate. Right.

>> So anyway, let's get back Let's get back

to the girls. So to experiment, you

know, I said, "I think those are

professionals. They're sex workers." And

Zar said, "There's only one way to find

out. Let's test it. Let's see. I'm going

to ask them how much."

>> Don't do that.

>> They got your number. So he goes,

"Purely as an experiment, let's just see

and we'll see to prove the point." My

son and his friends were there. They

were laughing at all. They were dying.

They're like They were like, "Do it."

And so what what did you text and what

happened after that?

>> Okay. I texted and the response was $350

for 20 minutes.

>> Really?

>> Yeah. $550 for an hour?

>> Oh, I didn't know she sent you.

>> 350 for 20 or 550 is a deal.

>> Well, I don't understand. I honestly

don't understand the math, you know,

like deal, right?

>> That was like it was like the value meal

was the hour. I don't really understand

how that worked out, but it was 350 for

20 minutes. Okay.

>> Okay. Had I been really engaged in this,

I would have said, "How much for one

minute?" Just cuz I just want to see you

leave.

>> So, so this is more I mean, this is kind

of making Jelopnik's point that this is

more like something that would happen in

Las Vegas.

>> Well, hang on. This this happens even

No, no, no. I've been going again. I've

been going to this event since the '90s,

and I've not seen this before. I will

say I will say Spanish Bay is an odd

place, but I've definitely been in like

London like at the Ritz where

>> But you're you're you're told like you

know if you if you like her just go to

the front desk and request extra

there were two other price points.

>> Yes.

>> There was the there was the allnight

price point which broke $1,000

>> and then there was the you can do

everything without any protection price.

How much was that? That was $5,000.

thinking,

>> And I was like, who in God's name would

pony up that kind of money to get to

catch something that would stay with

>> Well, what's going to happen is you're

going to pay five grand and you're going

to lose your watch and we're going to

find you in a bathtub. But if you'd like

that I I sensed it was a little rougher

We love the Concord, but it seemed

different, you know, and and the Concord

itself was not bad, but outside of it,

there seemed to be a little more of a

dangerous element. Vanish Bay turned

into Time Square or Sunset Boulevard

circa 1983.

later, but we're we're moving to the

lodge after this. I I can't deal with

what happened with the traffic and

everything anymore.

ago, we said there was going to be a uh

flocked bow slant nose. Porsche, check

this video out.

>> Testing right after we talked about it.

I guess Porsche decided, why don't we

get out and test this thing?

>> Now, correct me if I'm wrong, Zuckerman,

>> but that looks like a slant nose.

>> Absolutely.

>> Uh why don't you Yeah, let's stop it

right there. Stop it right on the

headlights there. Tell us what you think

of this thing. A little closer. A little

closer. So we can see

>> I can tell you those big big vents under

the eyes. That means GT2 RS. That's huge

breathing.

>> Yeah. Yeah. Cuz you're making tons and

tons of power. So

>> would you buy this Suckerman? Do you

like this? You're a fan of slant noses,

right?

>> Absolutely. And I and I think it

actually looks pretty decent. It It's

got a very tough, very aggressive look.

And it's going to be a very aggressive

car. And if you notice, the wing is very

unusual, too. The uprights. The

uprightes have a much different shape to

them.

>> Mhm.

>> Oh yeah.

>> And that's that is a lot of wings.

>> That looks like the the 993 uh track

wing, whatever that was called. You

know, the big the double wing kind of

looks like that shape.

>> It's not the goo. It's not Was it goose

necks or what were the other swan neck?

>> Yeah, swan neck.

>> What do you guys What do you think? Are

they going to do a GT2 RS and this

special version? Both.

>> GT2 RS might be the slant nose,

>> right?

>> It might be. Yeah, maybe.

>> I mean, those those bus size air

intakes, those are, you know, where's

your GT2 RS? It's blocked. But it has

those same humongo intakes on the front

cuz it needs to breathe harder. Uh, and

and I I think we know that the GT2 is

also going to be a hybrid, so it's even

more cooling. Um, so yeah, it's going to

be big time.

>> So, you think it's possible they just

this is the GT2 RS that it's a special

edition 80s tribute? And if you recall,

there was a there was a slant nose for

the last GT2 and it was track only. And

it would be nice if they delivered one

to the public.

>> That's right. That's right.

>> Well, I heard I heard for sure they're

making this right around the same time I

heard from the same person about the GT3

cab.

>> And notice it doesn't have the giant

hood extractor like the GT3 RS. Yeah.

>> Uh probably cuz it's where a bunch of

hybrid componentry is. So, you know,

you're not going to have the same crazy

downforce as a GT3 RS, but big power.

Big power. Of course, PDK. Yeah. Yeah.

>> But big big I mean, I'm big big like 900

horsepowers,

>> you know. The last 690, right? The last

one was 690.

>> You th000 the benchmark. No, because

that's the thing like like you look at

like the um the Corvette, the ZR1X, the

fax machine, you know, 1250 horsepower

and it beat the GT3 RS by like actually

it didn't even beat that. It beat the

Ford GTD by a second. So Porsches are

always able to do a lot more with less

power just for a lot of reasons. So I

the last one was 690 horse, right?

>> I'm thinking it' be like 8

>> 10 to 830 something like that. that will

kill everything there is. That's enough

to like destroy all other cars because I

mean the last VT2RS is still one of the

best cars ever made.

>> I'm not sure I like at least in this,

you know, test mule um livery. I don't

not crazy about the front of it. Can you

just play it again? Well, there's a

little bit of a Nissan 300, you know,

super kind of a thing in the knack of

dust ducks are a little bit Ferrari,

>> but I was never a slant-nose fan save

for one continental orange one that I

saw somewhere in Europe on Instagram and

I lost my mind over that one.

>> But maybe maybe Continental Orange is

the way to go. Maybe you do that. But

yeah, it's cool no matter what.

>> Well, we just picked our color.

>> Oh, we're getting one.

>> Yes, Continental Orange. We've got cars

on top of cars, Zuckermanman. In fact,

we have our 718 Spider RS right here.

Should we talk about that? You've had it

for a week.

>> Love.

>> Let's break a camera off and talk about

it. And here it is, Zuckerman. So, we

picked this up last uh Saturday,

>> correct?

>> Last week, the Porsche Experience Center

with our friends uh Charlie who was

there. Uh we didn't have our friends uh

Larry and Mike from Porsche Clearwater

visiting. They just couldn't get out

because, you know, this thing got

delayed and we had to kind of just

target a Saturday. But we love Porsche

Clearwater.

We always have a great time. They sent

us some really not nice notes. We sent

them a lot of video.

Can't recommend them enough. If you're

in the Florida area or even the

California area, I sell lots of cars in

here in California.

>> What's this color?

>> This is a ratium green.

>> This is ratio. Okay.

>> This is um a beautiful old 60s uh 356

color.

>> Yeah. Um, we didn't do any track time,

did we in it? No. James, my son, came

this time. He went around the track and

uh Charles uh down there has said,

"Suckerman, we can come back anytime we

want. Go around the track and have a

couple dinners." We've been collecting

dinners. The Porsche Experience Center,

you know, the food is good.

>> It is.

>> It's so good.

>> Yeah.

>> I

know. We forgot. But we're gonna

Zuckerman and I are going to plan a day,

Charles, and we'll get down there to the

Portrait Experience Center in LA. And if

you're near one of those, you got to

check it out. It is a great day. It was

filled with not only people, but a lot

of our uh uh viewers and listeners,

>> right? Cuz our our viewers and listeners

are not actually people.

>> No, they are. It was great. Everywhere

I, you know, I was chatting and they

were like, "Oh my god, are you guys

picking up the 718?" Anyway, here it is.

Zuckerman, as as is the custom, I

generally drive down in the Bronco. And

Zuckerman takes the car for the week and

he's going to tell us uh what he thinks.

about this spec and about this car.

>> I'm going to tell you I love the car.

>> Really?

>> Yep. Big big win.

>> What do you like?

>> First of all, your color choice. That

was your choice.

>> Well, I always run the color by you to

make sure

>> and I generally all I really ever say is

I just want comfortable seats and this

time my wish came true and it changes

the experience so totally for me.

>> Let's take a look at those comfort

seats. They're great.

>> Yeah.

>> Yeah. And you have all the lateral

support that you would ever need without

the pain. It's it's a terrific

combination. It it great support, no

pain. Uh what I I love the color. I

think the color really shows on this

car. Fantastic. And you can see the

reaction that you get from people going

down the street. I think that you nailed

it with the with the white soccer hood

with with the with the black stripes.

And what also nails it are the shiny the

shiny lighter colored wheels that you

chose along with the black brake

calipers. So, I'm in love with the look

of this car. Also, uh the black mirrors.

Fantastic. So, I'm in love with the look

of this car.

>> Can I ask one question if you must? Have

either of you put the roof up yet?

>> Yeah.

>> Yeah. We took it down.

>> We took it down. We put it up. I I had

the press car for a week, so I did have

>> It's a contraction. I had to go look at

the Matt Farah video and do it. But I I

I enjoy it's like a puzzle. Like I enjoy

taking it on and off and it's it's very

analog and it's it wasn't

>> it's not easy. You can put it down by

yourself. If you put it up, get a second

person to help me.

>> There's a shot of those wheels. It is it

is a bit of a process and it it

collapses some under the hood or the

cowl there and then some in a little bag

in the back. But I figured it out after

playing tennis in the press car by

myself. Like these two guy these two

guys were watching me like what is this

idiot doing? It took 15 minutes of trial

and error and then I went, "Oh, I got

it." And it was really satisfying and I

kind of appreciated that there was that

thing to do with this that gave

something.

>> I don't think that you're going to do it

a lot. I think that once the top is off,

you leave it off or you leave it on. It

looks pretty cool either way. Uh,

>> I have a dust cover for it, so we can

just cover it open right wherever it's

stored.

>> I've had an opportunity to drive this

car.

>> It is. It handles amazingly well.

>> It does everything amazingly well. Do a

little part of me says that a stick

would enhance my particular appreciation

of this car, but I can totally

understand why it's a PDK. The PDK is

excellent. It It is an excellent PDK.

The size of the car is just spot-on. It

really highlights how excessively big a

a 992 is for most for most uses. This is

perfect size, perfect car for slicing,

dicing, and cutting traffic. It has

incredible power. It is very, very

linear. You can downshift, upshift. You

can play with it every way you want. And

it's glued to the road. Absolutely glued

to the road. This is a great car. That's

a couple of cars there. Look, the ST in

the in the background there. Oh, man.

So, here's how the plan Z works.

Zuckerman drove

>> the Spider RS in and I drove the ST in.

And we're going to switcheroo for the

weekend.

>> And I have not driven the ST in months.

>> It still only has hundreds of miles.

>> That's right. And and and I really need

this I really need this comparison

because right now I could drive this the

718 all the time. Well, that's the goal.

That is the goal.

>> I'd be curious which one you like

better. I bet you you wind up liking the

Spider RS better than the ST.

>> The ST we, you know, I was talking to

the Experience Center guys and they were

saying ST owners have been driving their

cars less, not because they don't drive

well, but because the the weight of the

values of them weighs on you a little

bit. And I I'll be honest, I felt that.

Normally I don't react to that, but

every time there were many times where I

like, you know what? I'm not taking this

to Trader Joe's.

>> Right. Right.

>> I'm not gonna waste miles.

>> Take the Tesla. Yeah.

>> Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to take Yeah.

>> A friend of ours just sold his his ST.

>> It had 5,000 miles on it and he he got a

good number.

>> Really?

>> He got a really good number.

>> So, we should just enjoy it. I know

that's the right thing.

>> It would be hard for us to get 5,000

miles. But the car, there's no way

you're not liking the ST.

>> It's the greatest. Always the greatest

thing when you drive away from the

hanger, you just go. Yeah,

>> these two cars together

>> are a twocar collection. You really

cover a lot of ground with these two

cars.

>> Yeah,

>> it's a bit excessive, but

>> yeah, I I love the Spider RS. I had I

had a blast in the one we had.

>> They're good ones.

>> Um

>> they're good. Well, I'm going to take

that car and I'm going to go to the

but just for the all-wheel drive system,

a mini touchcreen.

way forward, 50% of the torque goes to

want 62% or whatever. Uh or you can put

it in like a auto mode where the

computer figures out where to send the

was they widened it. So they had Freeman

him widen the car, but they didn't want

to look weird. So then he went and redid

every single body panel so that it's

just it's just tricking your eye. It

doesn't look any different than an

original 911. Even though it's wider,

it's no longer.

it's on 18-in off-road tires. It's a

total handful like you know, hey, you

you know how 930s had liftoff over

steer? This more than doubles the power

but lightens it. So when you lift off,

which is uh one of my favorite cars I've

actually driven in the last 12 months,

is way bigger uh and a three row and all

electric. This is all electric, but it

is kind of a regular size three row.

Would compete with like the Rivian R1S,

would compete with the Mercedes GLS,

>> uh maybe the BMW X7. And um I will say

it's about 80% really good, 20% it's

just like little weird stuff they got to

work on. like one pedal driving, okay?

Uh which is great if you have an EV. You

love one pedal driving, but like the

switch to get to it is just it's

needlessly buried deep and it's just

like a UI thing. Now, once it's on, is

it like a tactile switch or is it an

electric?

>> No, it's it's like you got to do a swipe

on a screen and then then you got but

but even if you swipe to see the other

stuff, then you got to get to like more

options and then it's and then it's like

convoluted what it is.

>> Right. Right. Once you program the car

where you want it to be, it's great. Um,

615 horsepower and I think 650 pound-

feet of torque. That said, when it's in

like normal mode, what they call touring

mode, it's a lot less power than that.

So, what I did was I set up

>> uh my mode. So, it's like everything is

comfortable except for I have full

power.

>> So, um, and it's great. It's that's a

lot of horsepower and torque. It's real

quick. Um, pretty good looking. not as

good-looking as the other electric

Cadillacs, I would say. Um, but I think

it's kind of appealing to maybe a more

conservative demographic than the other

ones. Um, the price is actually worth

noting. It starts at 78,000.

>> Wow.

>> As tested 81 there. I know there's a

luxury version that can get up to six

figures.

>> Did you say how many miles to the

charge?

>> Um, like 320 I want to say something

like that. Pretty pretty good.

>> Self-driving tech is good.

>> The self-driving tech is the best in the

business. It's It's their GM Super

Cruise, which if if you've ever

experienced it, you just on a freeway.

It's only for freeways. It only turned

on on the freeway. You don't need to

touch the steering wheel.

>> Um I haven't done a ton with this one,

but I drove an Escalade IQ from San

Francisco to Los Angeles and I touched

the steering wheel like to get off the

freeway. It just it just does. It's

perfect.

>> Yeah. Yeah. You've said that before.

>> Yeah, it's really good. Uh it has the

middle rows captain's chairs. The

interior is pretty nice. Um, I think my

biggest gripe with it, aside from like

needs better software, which is coming

cuz it's all updatable,

>> for whatever reason, the angle of this

windshield, every single thing on the

dash is reflected in the windshield at

all the time,

>> which I I don't like. And I've never

driven another car that's as bad as

this.

>> The Zagato does that. Remember,

>> it's a very basic mistake.

>> It's a weird It's a weird mistake. They

could they could like desshine. It's

like the two speaker grills and like the

back of the of the screen. you just get

this glare and you can kind of see in

this video

and it's I it's weird cuz like I don't

think the Lyric does this and I know the

Escalade IQ which again just totally

different product doesn't do that but

but again it's it's a handsome car it's

a great to drive car suspension all that

good stuff um so yeah it was funny like

I I I didn't ask for this car this is

one that they kind of just dropped off

and I put a thing on Instagram like hey

should I make a video thinking everyone

would be like don't bother and it was

like about 85% saying do it. We're

curious.

>> Yeah. Yeah.

>> So, it's a Yeah, it's a good car. Like,

I'd say for 80,000, could you get a two

motor Rivian? That's a much better EV.

>> Yeah.

>> Um but if you don't want a Rivian, like

this is pretty good. And then what you

know the Kia um uh EV9, I think it is.

That's also $80,000, you know, and like

boy, I take this over that any day of

the week. Uh, having driven them both,

this just drives better and it charges

faster and it's much much much more

powerful.

>> Let me just ask you, you host a show

about EVs, right? Just

>> it's coming back. Yeah, it's coming

back. Inevitable. The inevitable. Let

just a topline question cuz people keep

asking me, they keep saying it's a shame

what's happened. This is just folks in

my kind of social circle that no one's

buying electric cars anymore.

Electric cars are bigger than they've

ever been. Sales are higher than they've

ever been. It's just there's more brands

to choose from and some brands are

getting nailed for

>> Tesla got whacked for obvious reasons.

Um the the the adoption rate has

definitely slowed down, but I think in

2024 it was over a million EVs sold in

the US, over 8% of the market. And it's

and I think the first and second

quarters, I'll double check it, but uh

2025 it went up again.

>> Yeah. So year to year we're going up on

sales

>> now. What's about to happen though,

September 1st, I believe, or maybe

September 30th, can't remember, but the

uh $7,500 tax credit, the Trump

administration has cancelled.

>> Yes.

>> Uh which is going to hurt uh lowerric

EVs cuz it was nice to, you know,

there's ways to get that money back

right off the price, right off the top.

>> So that could hurt sales. That could

hurt sales, but like cars like this

don't even qualify for that because of

and when I confronted him discovered he

had purchased a second new truck and I

have to drive a leased Rav 4.

He is currently hiding a new Ford

Mustang. Zuckerman,

this is unbelievable. Zuckermanman, does

bipolar disorder cause the spending and

the lies? What do you think?

If you took more joy and you were less

of a harpy about this, he would maybe he

would maybe bring you into this, you

know, start showing some enthusiasm.

This is the advice you want, right? This
