Peter is joined by Halil and Dan the Luggage Boy this week to talk about all things relating to panel beating with Tom Dimitrakas. Tom discusses the changes in the industry over the years where insurance companies won't let you pick your own insurers, the closure of small panel shops. But some things stay the same - when it rains the work increases. Tom comments on the drop of apprentice numbers and there is not enough staff to go around. Peter and Ross meet up Trent Demos from Etuners Australia and learn about the world of tuning. Trent's first tune was in 2000 in his brother's Peugeot buying a tune from Stelios in Greece!!!! Etuners Australia has become a custom collaboration company and study the ECU's of various cars and recaliberate the information to extract better performance out of your car. Trent talks about an 823hp AMG C63s that is currently being built. Trent discusses his personal projects including his AMG Black Series and we ask whether the buttons in Fast and Furious are real. Peter and Halil went drag racing on a Test and Tune day. Ross is not allowed to talk about his Range Rover. But he can talk about his Multivan. Ross buys new wheel and an Akrapovic exhaust. Peter is taking his Macan on a country run wearing his new Porsche cuff links. Peter's grandfather passed away this week and he discusses his early memories steering his grandfather's Chrysler Galant, Ross goes to wrok with his uncle's NRMA van and Halil talks about his paper run. The boys return from holidays and Ross talks about letting off fireworks in Barcelona almost burning his family. In Crete Ross's rental car was smashed in the first minute of the rental. Guest Matthew Joyce joins us to discuss all things hot rods, rat rods, resto mods and building an engine at the age of 14 in his bedroom. We learn how parts were sourced before the internet. Halil remembers attending his first swap meet as a kid and bought four original hub caps for a Mazda R100. Matthew tries to convince Ross to build a hot rod. We look at the debate between authentic v pre fabricated parts. Ross gets his Range Rover back on the road because the Multivan isn't. Claudio and Mona Di Gregorio are ice cream van owners and join us to talk about owning their traditional Ford Transit ice cream van. Claudio talks about his days travelling with his mum and dad each weekend in his parents' first Morris ice cream van. He explains what is involved in creating the ice cream and goes into details in how a van is tranformed into an ice cream van. Claudio has served celebrities including Danny Green and Dannii Minogue. Mona explains their push into functions and corporate events. Halil taste tested five separate ice cream vans at one event and Peter discusses the importance of having a good cone. Engineers Con Boutsikakis and Andrew Paterson join us on our building roads podcast. Christian, Jackson, Bille and Jamie host a kids special. The kids describe the car they would like to own. Billie already owns her own car from the age of 13. Jackson and Christian have found a way to pay for their million dollar car tastes. The kids discuss electric cars and their effect on the environment and also refuse to get into driverless cars. Rosses dresses up as Mario in Mario Kart. The boys explained to the kids how to use a Street Directory. The two generations debate whether Netflix is better than hiring a VHS film from Blockbuster. In this week's events Peter and Ross went to the inaugral Little Legs Foundation fundraiser and there was a Lamborghini Urus parked in the foyer of the event and Halil finishes the week with Audi A7 service stories.
