90: 6 days to get to Mykonos
Captain Sideris joins Peter and Halil today for a hilarious interview where the boys plot a flight map to Mykonos in Captain Sideris' small plane. They examine folding techniques with jeans and with the holiday season coming up and restricted flights, the Captain provides some long distance driving tips after his recent road trip to deliver a dog cross restricted state borders. The boys are back in the studio talking about the recent events. Peter has two new additions to the fleet - a 1990 Bentley Turbo R and the arrival of the AMG A35 for his wife. They discuss how Peter should give the car to her as a Christmas surprise. Ross talks about the boat on a boat. Peter and Halil wore their tradie gear and drove a Mazda BT-50 ute ("truck" to our cousins in the USA) and were quite impressed with the improvements to the new range of utes. Regular guest Chris Poulos joins Peter this week at a Kollector Cars and Coffee event at Schibellos Coffee warehouse at Rhodes NSW. We meet Peter Landan who introduced us to his 1971 Nissan Skyline GT Coupe modified as a GT-R tribute car. Peter explains how Nissan built the 2 door version merely to reduce weight for racing. It ended up winning 50 straight races in Japan in the early 1970's. Adam joins the podcast and re-told the story where he quit his job abd decided to travel one lap of Australia in his 1997 Mazda NA MX5 - a total of 23,000km in 3 months!!!! Ben joins us in his "911" plated 1989 Porsche 911 Speedster, one of 21 delivered to Australia and of a total 2,100 worldwide production run of the G Series. Jon Collins from The PPF Studio and Ayman Khamas from Leading Edge Car Detailing invite the boys at their setup in Rozelle to talk all things wrapping. Jon describes the process involved in wrapping a car with PPF (Paint Protection Film). The boys tried to cut through it and it took a lot of force!!! Ross has the X5M wrapped in PPF and it is described as self healing and it protects your car from scratches. 70: We bought an HSV Grange so we drank a Grange
Peter and Ross are joined by Avo Soghomonian, George Ronis and Chris from Kollector to celebrate Tom "The Roving Reporter" Dimitrakas' purchase of an HSV Grange. Every HSV Grange sold came with a bottle of Penfolds Grange, but not when you buy one 11 years later. To celebrate we bought our own bottle and opened it on air. Chris explains how the Bentley was recently hit. Ross visited the Crystal Palace and received a talk about Peter Brock's use of crystals in hs rce car.
