Real Road Racing in Mexico with Apex Auto Works and a 2012 Camaro is in the showroom!
An automobile race on 'public' roads is not something you see everyday - particularly what amounts to a run what ya' brung event. We ran across a really cool looking race car years ago and couldn't figure out where you could run such a vehicle, which is how we met Richard Tomlin from Apex Auto Works in Alvin, Texas.Richard went on to explain that the car was 'designed' for a road race south of the border call the 'Chihuahua Express'. With the help of local law enforcement, the public roads are closed long enough for a daily pass by racers from all over the world. These are public roads in Mexico, not prepped race tracks and there is no time for a practice lap. Any practice is only to learn the lay of the land while engaging local traffic.
