LAB-83-Biker Gripper Cell Phone, GPS, Radar Detector, & EFI Tuner Motorcycle Mounting Solution | Absolutely Nothing Better!

Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-The Biker Gripper is absolutely the best cell phone/smartphone, GPS, EFI Tuner, and radar detector mounting solution on the market. We here at Law Abiding Biker™ Podcast & Media tested it for a long period of time, over thousands of miles, on different bikes, Mounted it in different positions,  and while holding different devices. Believe it when I say your device will not come out of the 18 lbs of grip strength the Biker Gripper provides. Over several years the Biker Gripper went through a couple violent motorcycle crashes here at Law Abiding Biker™. First was my high side crash on my 2011 Harley Davidson Street Glide in Oregon. Yup, a complete high side after getting squirley in some gravel around a corner. My Harley was nearly totaled and laying on it's side. My iPhone did not move and was still secured and untouched in the Biker Gripper! That was my first  thought that we should put our logo on this thing and sell it in our own store to bikers who want the best. I totally believe the good Lord was watching over me when I high sided and it was a lower speed. I was flung like Superman into some soft powder type dirt just past the shoulder of the road! I had no real injuries to speak of. Next, Chewy was riding two up with his wife on the back of his 2013 Harley Davidson Street Glide and slid low side. The bike slid away from them and violently smashed into a guard rail. The bike hit the guard rail so hard that it stood back up and traveled another 50' or so along the guard rail before falling over again. It hit the guard rail so hard that one of his saddlebags exploded so to speak & the bike was just shy of being totaled with a bent frame. Chewy and his wife had road rash, but other than that they got out of it okay. Yup, you guessed it-in the Biker Gripper was his iPhone 6 Plus completely untouched! Now, I love the Biker Gripper, but I never imagined that it would stay in on such a violent crash, so it even surprised me. We trust the Biker Gripper so much that we put our own Law Abiding Biker logo on it and our stamp of approval. It is truly biker tested and we carry it exclusively in the Law Abiding Biker Store. It is the sexiest, sleekest, and strongest cell phone motorcycle mount on the market. Don't settle for all the cheap ugly cell phone motorcycle mounts on the internet, eBay, and Amazon. If you want the best then the Biker Gripper Cell Phone, GPS, Radar Detector, and EFI Tuner motorcycle mount is for you! You really need to listen in to this Podcast episode to hear the stories and get all the information. LAB-82-2015 Harley Road Glide Dealership Purchase Process-Lurch gets a new bike!

Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST & VIDEO-In this video Lurch and I ride to the Rattlesnake Mountain Harley-Davidson dealership at 3305 W 19th Ave, Kennewick, WA 99338. Lurch has a plan to trade in his 2008 Harley Street Glide for a 2015 Harley Road Glide Special. Although I have always personally liked the look of the batwing style fairing on the Street Glide models, Harley has re-designed the shark nose fairing on the 2015 Road Glide models and I like the new look much better. Lurch and his 2015 Road Glide Lurch is 6 foot 6 inches tall, so because of the fixed fairing (does not turn with the handlebars) we will be able to install 13" ape handlebars and push them forward farther. This will give Lurch a more stretched out and comfortable riding position. The bars can not be pushed as far forward on the Street Glide, because of the different fairing that turns with the bars. •Check out our #1 rated Harley Handlebar Install Videos-Fairing and non-fairing videos available! Further Information: VIDEO & BLOG-In this video I had some time with a 2015 Harley Davidson Road Glide in what Harley is calling "mysterious red sunglo" & it is beautiful! Harley took 2014 off on producing the Road Glide, so I was excited to check this bike out! I shot some awesome video and photographed the bike. There is also the Road Glide Special for 2015, which is essentially the same bike, but comes with some extra goodies. The special comes standard with the upgraded larger 6.5 inch touch screen version of the new "Boom!™ Box" infotainment/GPS system, a security system, and Premium low hand-adjustable rear suspension, which I like much better from experience in riding with both. Here is a free video & information I released on how to properly adjust the low hand adjustable rear suspension. The special also comes with a finished off shiny black painted inner dash instead of the matte black finish on the standard model. Note that the larger 6.5-inch touch-screen Boom!™ Box/GPS system is an option on the standard model. Harley-Davidson touring models first came out with the Boom!™ Box system in 2014 as part of Project Rushmore. Now, although the Boom!™ Box Infotainment System is pretty awesome, it does come with a fairly steep learning curve that has frustrated many Harley owners until now. In fact, most owners of the Boom!™ Box system have no idea about the hidden menus, bugs, issues, necessary software updates, mapping integration, nor the system's full overall capabilities. With my #1 viewed Harley-Davidson Boom!™ Box Infotainment System instructional videos I straighten that learning curve out for motorcyclists/bikers and relieve the stress. These videos have received rave reviews from the motorcycle/biker community and for that I thank you! Check out the #1 Viewed Harley-Davidson Boom!™ Box Instructional Videos Here! SEE PHOTO GALLERY The feature that most distinguishes the Road Glide from the other touring models is its fixed frame-mount "shark-nose" fairing and dual front headlights. The handlebars move inside the fairing, which stays put. On other touring models, such as the Street Glide, the handlebars move with the fairing and it is often called the "batwing" fairing. First seen on the 2014 touring models, the Road Glide now sports the upper fairing vent with a manual switch to shut it off in inclement weather. This vent is to minimize head buffeting by putting a curtain of air (wall) in front of you, forcing the oncoming air up and over your helmet while riding. My 2014 Street Glide special has this fairing vent and I have ridden a ton. My estimation is that it reduces head buffeting by 20-30 percent, so it is well worth it. In addition to the main upper vent are two vents to each side of the headlights, which are "Dual Reflector Daymaker LED" headlights. Harley says these headlights have significantly more spread and greater punch than standard headlights. Harley-Davidson is calling this new three-way air venting system the "triple splitstream vent". Because the fixed fairing sits way further forward from the rider than on other models, the two additional lower vents are designed to lift the airflow per Harley-Davidson. The dramatic reduction in head buffeting has not only improved rider comfort, but also the listening quality of the Boom!™ Box sound system. A new handlebar bend reduces rider reach by 5.5 inches, which improves long-range comfort. Revised hand controls (just like 2014 models) have improved ergonomics, and a pair of thumb joysticks helps control the Boom!™ Box Infotainment and navigation. The standard comes with air-adjustable twin rear shocks. Here is a free video & information I released on how to adjust these air type shocks. With the Rushmore Project Harley put the new hard injection-molded saddlebags, which are the same convenient easy-open units found on Harley's other touring models. The 2015 Road Glide standard comes with optional Reflex Linked Brakes with ABS, which I highly recommend for all riders. Of course they are anti-lock brakes, but much more. The integrated system senses too much front or rear brake applied by a rider and evens it out for you automatically, which is critical for emergency braking situations. I have tested this new braking system out intensely in all kinds of weather and road conditions and let me tell you that this bike stops fast and it is very controlled! With all the close calls us motorcyclists/bikers have to deal with, these brakes are well worth it. The iterated brakes don't react in until a bit higher speeds. So, for those of us that perform low-speed skills course drills, we won't have to worry about using that back brake and having it activate suddenly! LAB-81-Vance & Hines Fuelpak 3 or Dynojet Power Vision EFI Tuner? What should you use?

Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-Over the past months we here at Law Abiding Biker™ Media have installed a Vance & Hines Fuelpak 3 on my Harley Davidson and a Dynojet Power Vision on Oscar's Harley. Both are motorcycle electronic fuel injections (EFI) tuners and seemingly two of the most popular currently on the market. We realize there are many other EFI tuners on the market, but it takes time to properly install, film, evaluate, and review each tuner. We also have much experience with the Dynojet Power Commander V and Auto Tuner, which have been a staple in the motorcycle EFI industry for many years now. Remember that the first thing Harley Davidson owners usually do after purchase is put a new air intake and exhaust on their ride. It is a must to re-map your electronic fuel injection immediately after installing an air intake, exhaust, or both. Don't waste your money getting the stock Harley EFI re-map download at a dealership, as it is a one time canned EFI map & can cost over $250. A canned map is basically a pre-determined EFI map based on you particular air intake and pipes that has already been made. If you go with the Harley canned EFI map and you ever change anything down the road you will be back in the dealership paying another large sum of money for an EFI re-map. With the FP3 and Power Vision you can make as many changes as you want any time down the road should you decide to change things up. And you can get way more options than a canned map out of these devices. You can auto tune your EFI with the FP3 and Power Vision for more precise tuning as you ride your Harley. If you become very well versed and knowledgeable you can manually change individual values & more. In this episode we break everything down for the average day-to-day biker out there, so you really need to listen in for all the information and facts about these motorcycle EFI tuners. Both units have their pros and cons and in the end it will depend on what needs and expectations you have. We are bikers just like you, which is why we can break it down to a level that makes sense. We cut through all the nonsense for you & make it easy to understand. Thanks to the following individuals for working with us here at Law Abiding Biker™ Media on this project! LAB-80-Pere Margalef Official Podcast Interview-The Bike Shield App

Official Website:  http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-In this episode I interview Pere Margalef, who is the CEO of The Bike Shield App. It is an app created to help protect bikers, motorcyclists, & bicyclists from common collisions & to make other motorists aware of these modes of transportation around them. Pere is a mechanical engineer full time and this is a passion project for him on the side as you will learn in this interview. The Bike Shield App is available for IOS and Android and is free. More can be found at their official website: www.thebikeshieldapp.com We spoke heavily of the Bike Shield App on Law Abiding Biker Podcast Episode #76, so take a listen. After that episode aired, Pere got ahold of us and wanted to do an interview. You must listen into this interview as it is jam packed with useful information that has never been heard before. It is a complete behind the scenes  look at The Bike Shield App, the team, and it's future. The way the app works is that a driver of a car and a rider on a motorcycle both have to have the app installed and running. The driver of a car is then alerted when within a certain distance of  a motorcycle or bicycle, warning them to be on the lookout. Remember, drivers of cars have blind spots and may not see a motorcycle, so the alert would be very helpful. The app has other functionalities such as an users map, which lets you visualize other users around you to establish safe routes. I learned Pere is a biker and currently rides a motorcycle and resides in the Los Angeles, CA area. He moved to Los Angeles about ten years ago from Barcelona, Spain. He came up with the idea for the app when he had a close call while riding his motorcycle in traffic. He has invested much money and time into developing this app to make us all safer and now has a small team working with him to further develop it. Our Custom Biker Gripper Cell Phone & GPS Mounts Need a motorcycle cell phone or GPS mounting solution Bikaholics? That's right, Law Abiding Biker Media put our logo on these mounts & we personally use them on our motorcycles! The sexiest, lightest, and strongest mounts available period. Good prices and fast shipping from our store? Check out our COMPLETE REVIEW Pere got the app out and into circulation as a minimum viable product. That is when the real testing started and they are learning what works and what doesn't. They are planning on releasing new versions as the app is worked on behind the scenes. They are working on new algorithms for things such as how often the alert sounds when multiple bikers are in a small area. There is some super exciting stuff in the works and Pere reveals it all in this interview. They have developed the APIs to open their Bike-to-Vehicle (B2V) communication channels to other road apps. That includes apps for bicyclists, bikers and car drivers and that is the direction and future of the app. Working with car manufacturers to have it built in standard to on board infotainment and navigation systems will be crucial. We spoke about the Harley Davidson Boom Box Infotainment system that is standard on touring models now and what a great fit that would be. Don't forget to check out our #1 rated Boom!™ Box Infotainment System Tutorial Videos! There are some great developments with the app such as the recently launched program MiBici from Guadalajara (Mexico), which is the World's first program to incorporate the BikeShield in its own app, becoming the first World's bike share program with a B2V system. It is expected that by the end of the year, the program will have 20,000 users. They are also in conversations with Mexico City, Barcelona and Santiago de Chile. They want to do the same in your city. What is The Bike Shield App: (directly from their website) All good things take time and we certainly support the continued development of this platform. It could definitely be great for bikers if wide acceptance and use happens. We know it is the early stages and we will follow along. Having observed many injury and fatality motorcycle collisions I fully support the Bike Shield App. Pere says the best thing that bikers can do is telling your family and friends about the app. And to give them feedback, suggestions and critiques of the app as it moves forward in development and implementation. You can do so on their contact form directly on their website: www.thebikeshieldapp.com The Bike Shield App Social Media: Facebook Instagram New Patrons: Kris Lizak of Ashland, WI   If you appreciate the content we put out and want to make sure it keeps on coming your way then become a Patron too! LAB-79-Kristin Casey Racing Official Podcast Interview-The Real Story

Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-In this episode we talk in-depth with Kristin Casey, who is a female sports biker racer. Sports bike racing is dominated by males, but that doesn't stop Kristin and she is right in the thick of it. It seems nothing is going to stop her from taking her racing to the next level. Yep, even while competing against male racers. You won't find another podcast interview of Kristin Casey like this one, so you must listen in. We truly had a great time talking with her. Kristin is extremely passionate about sports bike racing even after a crash in 2011 caused from mechanical failure in which she nearly had to have her right leg amputated. That put her out for over 3 years and she has been back at it in the last year.  Her father was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in May 2013 with less than a year to live diagnosis and passed on in May 2014.  He was an avid Harley Davidson owner and rider and was a big part of Kristin's life. She speaks of the day she came home on a "sports bike", which he was not fond of. He used to go to the track with Kristin and was not immediately sold on her passions for sports bike racing, yet he still supported her. After her crash, recovery, and her father being diagnosed with cancer she knew she needed to get back into racing. It wasn't too long ago that she was involved in a second large accident while racing, but her bike took the majority of damage this time and not her body so much. Here is a line taken from her bio   on her website: www.kristincaseyracing.com/about I have physically and mentally become stronger than ever and feel truly alive when on the race track. My mother now comes to races and helps out in the pits. We are planning for success with dad watching over us we plan to travel together and compete a full season of racing and many more to come.   Our Custom Biker Gripper Cell Phone & GPS Mounts •Need a motorcycle cell phone or GPS mounting solutionBikaholics? ◦That's right, Law Abiding Biker Media put our logo on these mounts & we personally use them on our motorcycles! ▪The sexiest, lightest, and strongest mounts available period. ▪Good prices and fast shipping from our store? ▪Check out our COMPLETE REVIEW Kristin says the sports bike racing scene is a very tight-knit community. Even competitors help each other out while at the track. They help each other with parts and working on each other's motorcycles. She was on the receiving end of this generosity after her most recent crash and her bike was back up and running because of the community in no time. Some helped with labor and some with parts. I learned from Kristin that true desire and passion are the only things that will get you into the sports bike racing scene. Kristin works a full-time job and with the help of her mother they pretty much run all aspects of her racing endeavors. On the weekends it is off to the race track to keep moving forward and earning points to advance her racing to the next level. Sponsorships are scarce at the entry-level, but she has managed to obtain a few to help out with the gear she needs to race. There is nobody paying Kristin to race and most the money comes out of her own pockets. She and her mother pull their toy hauler/trailer home that they fixed up to race weekends. Kristin talks about some of the tight deadlines and processes that are a part of racing sports bikes. She and her mother have a routine and understanding worked out, so they can make certain Kristin gets into the races she needs to. There is a whole bunch more behind the scenes of sports bike racing than meets the eyes and Kristin helps us understand. Kristin has a website that you can visit at www.KristinCaseyRacing.com. LAB-78-Waco, Texas Criminal Biker Gang Shooting-The Truths

Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-The opening song, "Biker Campfire" by Steve Werner (iTunes Link), is the way bikers are supposed to treat each other. We here at Law Abiding Biker consider other bikers friends we have not yet met. It's as simple as that wave you extend when you pass another biker on the road. Let's all practice that kindness and acceptance and continue the Law Abiding Biker Revolution. We are the motorcycling majority and are in charge of the true motorcycle scene. Tragically, sometimes bikers forget why they started riding motorcycles in the first place and get caught up in a dead end criminal lifestyle. Our respects go to anyone that lost their lives in the Waco, TX Biker Shootings on Sunday May 17, 2015 and to their families. We do not have all the facts and of course we consider the 9 deaths tragic. By talking about what things are known on this Podcast, in no way do we promote or celebrate any deaths that occurred. Additionally, in no way by airing this episode do we condone any criminal behavior by any criminal motorcycle gangs. Motorcycle club names are only mentioned to properly depict the scene & events that are known. By discussing this incident we hope bikers can learn or take away something valuable. Many news organizations have reported on the incident, but few have any insight into this subculture like we do. The traditional media has reported many absurd things that we hope to correct. We are here to bring to light the facts and the truths, however limited they may be at this time. Article: On Sunday May 17, 2015 at about 12:15 pm a criminal biker gang shooting at the Twin Peaks Restaurant in Waco, Texas left at least nine people dead, 18 hospitalized and at least 170 were arrested and charged. Exact details are lacking and a large scale police investigation into the incident is being conducted. We are reporting on information coming in from various sources. Remember that 99% of all bikers/motorcyclists are good hardworking people with a passion for riding. The bikers involved here are thugs and make up less than 1% of the motorcycling population out on the road. They call themselves 1%ers and bear patches to identify them as such. Police had been concerned with the bikers' presence at Twin Peaks for several months. The restaurant hosted special events for bikers and unfortunately allowed criminal biker gangs to also attend. The biker gang members who began beating, stabbing and shooting each other knew the police were patrolling outside. "There were at least three rival gang groups here this morning for whatever reason. As they were here, we had officers on scene. We expected issues," said Waco Police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton. He later said there were at least five gangs. Swanton expressed anger at Twin Peaks, which he claims had been less than helpful in dealing with gangs in the past. "Are we frustrated? Sure. Because we feel like there may have been more that could have been done by a business to prevent this," he said. The United Clubs of Waco billed Sunday's event as the Texas Region 1 Confederation of Clubs and Independents meeting. The Confederation of Clubs (COC) is not recognized by law abiding bikers, the motorcycling majority, and has no authority of any kind.  Only some criminal biker gangs recognize them as some sort of entity that promotes communication between rival biker gangs. That communication does not work and has never worked and this melee is evidence of such. The COC is about power, money and intimidation just like all criminal biker gangs. Further, there is some ridiculous code that at these sanctioned meets that rival biker gangs are supposed  to put their differences aside for a bit. Criminal bikers can't grow up for a day as seen and it shows the COC is a complete failure. An altercation apparently started in a bathroom. Shots were fired inside the eatery and a brawl spilled onto the patio area, before scores of criminal bikers flooded the parking lot in broad daylight. Some criminal bikers were beaten with brass knuckles, clubs and chains, while others were stabbed or shot, Swanton said. There was clearly no concern for innocent lives and bystanders by these criminal bikers. Police responded within 30 to 45 seconds because of their proximity and the criminal bikers turned their weapons on law enforcement, he said. "Our officers took fire and responded appropriately, returning fire," the sergeant said. Swanton called it "the most violent and gruesome scene that I have dealt with" in three and a half decades of law enforcement. Before the restaurant and surrounding parking lots became a bloody battleground, the Waco Police Department had 18 officers on the scene, including an assistant chief and tactical officers, along with four officers with the Texas Department of Public Safety, Swanton said. No officers were hurt, Swanton said, praising their response. As police rounded up suspects and paramedics tended to the injured, investigators found eight bodies; three in the parking lot behind Twin Peaks, four near the front of the restaurant and one that had been dragged behind a nearby establishment, Swanton said. More than 100 weapons were confiscated as well, he said. According to a law enforcement source, preliminary information indicates that four of the bikers killed were killed by police gunfire. The investigation continues and the ballistics will be analyzed to determine for certain who was responsible for each shooting. Suspects from five different biker gangs remained locked up in the McLellan County Jail on Monday facing charges of engaging in organized crime, Swanton said. McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara said that bond was being set at $1 million for each of the 170 people in custody. Photos from the scene showed bikers wearing the insignias of the Cossacks, Bandidos, and Scimitars among others. It is no secret that these three are all well know organized outlaw criminal motorcycle gangs. The Bandidos and Cossacks have some sort of long ongoing childish dispute going on over who can wear a bottom rocker patch on the back of their vests saying, "Texas".  And the Scimitars are supporters of the Cossacks, because they probably can't make their own decisions. The Cossacks are aligned with the Hell's Angels, who are rivals of the Bandidos. The bottom rocker patch criminal biker gangs wear on the back of their vest claims territory, such as the State of Texas in this case. They believe only one criminal biker gang can wear a specific territorial patch and that the club bearing it owns the illegal drug & gun trade in that geographical area. For another criminal biker gang, such as the Cossacks in this case, to bear the "Texas" bottom rocker patch, they would need permission from the Bandidos. That is just a quick explanation of the sad pitiful world they believe in and in no way am I promoting it. Employees & patrons at Twin Peaks crawled into a freezer and shut the door for safety during the melee. Criminal biker gangs are nothing more than terrorists. There was clearly no concern for innocent lives or bystanders by these criminal bikers as they fired their guns. We will be following this story as things develop and you can expect a Law Abiding Biker Podcast episode at some point, so stay tuned. LAB-77-Aftermarket Handlebar Installs on Harley Davidson's-Everything You Need to Know

Official website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-In this episode we discuss in depth everything you need to know about installing aftermarket handlebars on your Harley Davison motorcycle. That means everything from drag bars, to mini ape hangers, to tall ape hangers. We filmed multiple Harley handlebar install tutorials in the Law Abiding Biker Garage that walk you through this process step by step. That's right, videos by bikers for bikers.  Bikers all over the world are saving money and not taking their Harley Davidson to a dealership or other mechanic to do a handlebar install. The fact of the matter is that with our videos you can do it right in your garage, shop, or patio right on the kickstand. We have you covered whether you have a Harley with a fairing or without a fairing. It doesn't matter if you have the same exact Harley year or model that we used in our videos. Harley has kept things basically the same as far as handlebars and simple wiring harnesses over the years. Official Harley Handlebar DIY Install Videos •Get Our #1 Rated Harley Davidson Handlebar Install Videos Here Don't get stressed or too concerned about wiring during your handlebar install. We talk about the different handlebars, wiring kits, and methods of installing handlebars. We have done many handlebar installs on Harley Davidson motorcycles over many years and all that experience went into our tutorial videos of course. As you listen in to this podcast episode you will learn everything you need to know before you   purchase handlebars, a wiring kit, or brake or clutch cables/lines. We go over whether or not you need to extend clutch cables/lines or brake cable lines depending on the height of the handlebars you plan on installing. In our videos we show you how to extend a hydraulic clutch line and a cable clutch line depending on your specific needs. If you are installing handlebars then NOW is the best time to install heated grips on your Harley. (one of the best things I ever did) •Get Our #1 Rated Harley Davidson Brand Heated Grip Install Video Here We talk about wiring in depth in this episode and break down the wiring kits that are available and how they work. There are multiple companies selling what they call "quick plug & play" wiring kits and they are really all the same. At the end of the day you are just extending your control cluster wiring harnesses on both handlebars and the throttle by wire if you have an electronic throttle. Some may believe this is complicated, but in our videos we make it painless and it is. Harley kept the handlebar OEM wiring basically the same over the different years and models, so don't get caught up if in our videos we use a different year or model. It is as easy as the differences between a fairing model and a model without a fairing. Don't make it any more complicated than that. Pick the video that is right for your project. We even go over the very few basic tools you will need to have on hand and talk about the benefits of soldering instead of using quick connect kits. Yah, we even show you how to properly solder in our videos in case you want to go that route. You really need to listen into this episode to get all the facts and details. If you have been wanting to know more about installing handlebars on your Harley Davidson then this episode is for you & you won't find better more thorough information than right here. Save your money and do this project yourself. Let us show you how! LAB-76-The Bike Shield App-Is it Helping Bikers/Motorcyclists? A Complete Review

Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com  PODCAST-So we caught wind of a company working on a smartphone app to help protect bikers/motorcyclists from common collisions & to make other motorists aware of motorcycles around them. The app is called The Bike Shield App and it is available for free on both IOS and Android devices.  We break it down for you in this podcast episode and what our initial thoughts are. Is the app beneficial for bikers? Do we see the app taking off? What can be done to help push the app along and into the hands of more bikers and motorists? These are just a few of the questions we answer, so listen in now. The Bike Shield App has an official website with information at www.thebikeshieldapp.com and there are also several YouTube videos describing the app. TDG Company CEO Pere Margalef dreamt up the app, but it fell short of it's Indiegogo crowd funding goal of $25,000 and ended on March 30, 2015 raising only $9,179. It appears the company is still moving forward with development. We are uncertain how close a motorcycle rider with the app running actually has to be to the driver of a car before the alert will happen. This will certainly need to be a consideration in development, because in larger cities it might sound all the time, confusing motorists or making them even avoid using the app. In our testing we found that because location services are active when running the app it is a huge drain on the battery and in fact the phone gets very hot while working. This app drains my iPhone 6 plus' battery quicker than any other app I have. You would definitely need to have your phone plugged in to run this app for any length of time at this point, which could be a problem for many bikers. We did test the app sitting near each other during the podcast in the studio, one of us being a car and one being a motorcycle and we did get alerts. The phone vibrates and has an audible motorcycle sound and bell sound for a bicyclist. We drove around multiple days in different areas in a car during busy traffic times and not once did we receive an actual alert even when we saw motorcycles. That is to be expected, as getting the word out and actually having other drives and motorcyclists have the app installed and running will be a huge hurdle for the company in our opinion, but we encourage them for certain. Check out our COMPLETE REVIEW It sounds like the company is working with City Government in San Francisco to partner with city bike share programs, to be built into the bike share app and running on city buses. We also feel the company will need to try to get car manufacturers on board to have the app possibly built into the integrated GPS and entertainment type systems. Many 2014 and newer Harley Davidson motorcycles come with the built-in Boom!™ Box infotainment system and we feel the app would be a great addition for sure. Harman Kardon makes the Boom Box system for Harley Davidson. Don't forget to check out our #1 rated Boom!™ Box Infotainment System Tutorial Videos! All good things take time and we certainly support the continued development of this platform. It could definitely be great for bikers if wide acceptance and use happens. We know it is the early stages and we will follow along. Having observed many injury and fatality motorcycle collisions I fully support the Bike Shield App. You can go to The Bike Shield App website to see how you can support them & follow their progress if interested. LAB-74-2015 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special Touring Model-Everything You Need to Know

Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com  Podcast-Jake here at Law Abiding Biker™ Media purchased a brand new Harley Davidson Street Glide Special (FLHXS) in early April of 2015 from a local Harley Davidson dealership. He traded in his 2012 Road King to make this purchase. I wanted to put this podcast & article out for our entire Law Abiding Biker Community or anyone else who may be considering purchasing this motorcycle. Harley Davidson Boom!™ Box Infotainment System! 3 Must See videos on everything you need to know on how to operate the new Boom!™ Box Infotainment System. Don't be frustrated, I will show you how. TUTORIAL VIDEO-Complete Harley Davidson "Boom Box" Infotainment System GPS Stereo Tutorial  TUTORIAL VIDEO-Harley Davidson Boom Box Infotainment Software & Map Update Tutorial TUTORIAL VIDEO-Complete Harley Davidson Ride Planner & GPS Guide He ended purchasing the vivid black colored model, which costs less than a model with other custom colors. The 2015 Street Glide Special sports the air cooled 103" cu in V-Twin High Output Motor (1690 cc). There is also an integrated oil cooler. This 103 cu in V-Twin now comes stock with the 255 cam kit already installed. The 255 cam offers substantial increase in low-end torque. He has has been very impressed with the performance of this motor and it is a runner for sure. It is awesome to have that extra power at take off and when passing for certain. This bike really gets up and goes and feels extremely smooth. The 2015 Street Glide Special comes stock with a hydraulic clutch, 6 speed Cruise Drive transmission, of course the 6 gallon fuel tank, and the bike weighs in at 818 lbs. The motor has Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI). The engine is said to get around 42 miles per gallon combined city/highway and we have found that to be accurate. The 2015 Street Glide Special sports beautiful stock black Enforcer Cast Aluminum wheels on front and back. The front wheel is 19 inches and has a Dunlop D408F 130/60B19 tire, while the rear wheel is 16 inches and has a Dunlop D407T 180/65B16. The tires handle well and you can drag floorboards all day long around corners! The gauges on the dash now run along the top, making room for the 6" touch screen Boom Box Infotainment System below. Check out our #1 Ranked Boom Box Tutorial Video!. The system is pretty awesome, but there is a rather steep learning curve. We teach you everything you  need to know on how to operate the new system and how to keep your software up to date, which is critical. The speedometer and tachometer are 10% larger and have 68% wider numbers. It has a 28% larger fuel and volt gauge with 30% wider numbers. The display features odometer, trip A, trip B, range to empty, and gear indicator. All the gauges are beautifully backlit. On the left handlebar controls on top is a trigger switch (odometer, trip A, trip B, and range to empty). Also on the left handlebar controls is a switch to operate voice commands via a headset to the Boom Box Infotainment System. The cruise control is now solely operated by a joystick and has been moved to the left handlebar controls. Now you can rock the throttle back with your right hand and set the cruise with your left. This was a very nice change. On the right handlebar controls is an information switch to display ambient temperature, oil pressure and whether your engine idle temperature management system (EITMS) is enabled. This is all displayed on the large 6" Boom Box Infotainment System Screen. These are all new ergonomic hand controls and include joysticks on each side to control all the functions of the Boom Box Infotainment System and cruise control. I can tell you that everything to operate the electronics is right at your fingertips and feels great! The inside of the fairing is beautiful on the 2014 Street Glide Special and is painted in an eye catching gloss black finish. This really completes the inside of fairing and makes it stand out. Of course the new front fairing vent or "wind tunnel" is a huge new addition to the 2014 Street Glide Special. You can close the vent by a large button on the upper left inside of the fairing. This new vent is placed there to reduce head buffeting, which it does. Essentially the air rushes through the fairing vent and shoots a wall of air straight up in front of you in order to slow the oncoming air. This is my assessment of how it operates. I have tested this vent "wind tunnel" in all different conditions and at many different speeds. My personal estimation is that it reduces head buffering by about 25-30%. The only time I can see that I would close the vent is during extremely heavy rains or hail. I have opened it and closed on very cold mornings and nights and it does not seem to matter. The only downfall to the new fairing vent is that you would not want to install inside fairing storage pouches on your dash, as it would block the wind tunnel, but I believe the trade off is well worth it. The FLHXS comes standard with dual front brakes, ABS, and the new linked braking system they call the Reflex Braking System. Essentially in an emergency stop, not only do the ABS brakes kick in, but if you apply too much front or rear brakes, the sensors within recognize this problem and even out the braking pressures. This all results in very quick braking in an emergency. New Patrons: Carl Lingelbach of Appolo, PA Robert Henze of Walden NY If you appreciate the content we put out and want to make sure it keeps on coming your way then become a Patron too! There are benefits and there is no risk. The beautiful thing is that the linked braking system does not kick in until 20-25 mph. This is super important for motorcycle law enforcement officers, who do a lot of low speed aggressive maneuvers and have to use the rear brake a lot while doing so. On other brands of bikes that had similar linked type brakes, they activated even at very low speeds, making the slow speed maneuvers much more difficult for the police motorcycle officer. This of course goes for anyone who practices or knows how to perform aggressive slow speed maneuvers. Harley Davidson really thought this one out! A few other things worth mentioning are the restyled hard saddle bags with a one touch design latch, dual halogen headlight, 49 mm telescopic front forks, stiffer triple clamps, larger steering bearings, low profile front fender, Jukebox media compartment with a USB connection and one touch access door, and of course the Harley Davidson Factory Security System with hands free security fob. All these additions and changes have made an awesome riding 2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special. The bike is tight, smooth, fast, and powerful. It corners like a dream and it is even hard to tell how fast you are going unless looking at the speedometer. That is how smooth this bike runs. The new Boom Box Infotainment System with integrated GPS is just what I was calling for. The audio system sounds great and can be heard fine, even at freeway speeds. The only thing we did to the bike for now is install an aftermarket EFI tuner and replaced the stock mufflers with Vance and Hines Dresser Twin Slash Rounds slip on mufflers. We have a free video on removing/installing aftermarket exhaust. We also have a free tutorial video on installing a Stage One Air Intake and installing a Dyno Jet Power Commander V EFI tuner, which we will be doing eventually. Just when you think there is nothing more Harley Davidson can do to make their bikes even better, they knock it out of the park! Well done Harley Davidson and you should be very proud of this bike! LAB-73-Harley Davidson Twin Cam Chain Tensioner Problem 1999-2006 | Are Other Years Affected?

Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com  LAB-73-Harley Davidson Twin Cam Chain Tensioner Problem 1999-2006 | Are Other Years Affected?   Podcast-In this episode we break down the issue of problems with pre 2006 Dyna's & 1999-2006 spring loaded cam chain followers in Harley Davidson twin cam motors. The chain tensioning system in these motors uses plastic "shoes" riding on the cam chains that wear out. We here at Law Abiding Biker all agree that there is no real concern with the newer post 2006 motors and is limited to the years stated. Although we are pro Harley Davidson, this was a complete design failure and the company should have done a better job taking care of owners of the affected years in our opinion.  You really need to listen in to this podcast episode to get all the facts and information.   Harley damaged cam chain tensioner Harley damaged cam chain tensioner What is happening on the affected years? The plastic spring loaded cam chain follower fails & it shreds plastic material that fouls the rotary gear oil pump cutting off oil flow to the engine. The problem is that many are experiencing failures at many different mileages, so it is hard to predict. Additionally, riders likely will not hear anything going wrong. The only way to check the status of your cam chain followers is to dig in and inspect them. If you are going to be in there for that then we suggest to just fix the problem permanently & we will tell you how.   What did Harley do to fix the problem on the newer motors? On the 2007 and later motors, hydraulic cam chain followers are now used to get rid of the stiff spring that put too much pressure on the followers rubbing on the cam chain. Some believe that the problem still exists even with the new hydraulic cam chain followers, but we are not seeing that at all.   Our opinion is that if you have an affected model that you take action as soon as you can and avoid the impending problem all together since you can't predict when it will happen.   S&S Cycle Complete Gear Drive 510G Camshaft Kit S&S Cycle Complete Gear Drive 510G Camshaft Kit The Fix #1 (Our 1st Choice):   Our suggestion is for you to get rid of the chain system entirely and switch to gear driven cams for the listed years. There are companies making aftermarket kits for this and without labor they cost around $750. The best thing is that you will get upgraded cams on top of the rest of the upgrade kit, thus more performance.  If you appreciate this Free content consider using our 2 Wheel Parts Supply Affiliate Link to purchase any of these kits (S&S Cycle Complete Gear Drive 510G Camshaft Kit) & help support us.   Screamin' Eagle Hydraulic Cam Chain Tensioner Plate Upgrade Kit Harley Davidson upgrade/fix kit The Fix #2 (Our 2nd Choice):   Harley Davidson also sells an upgrade/fix kit for around $499 (example) without labor costs. Again, we believe that Harley Davidson should not be selling a "fix it" kit when it was their design problem in the first place, but it is what you may be stuck with. This HD kit does not change it to a gear driven system & you don't get upgraded cams. Instead, it comes with hydraulic cam chain tensioner and high-flow oil pump. Harley says that the high-flow oil pump provides increased oil pressure at high-operating temperatures. It changes the chain tensioner from spring to hydraulic. This is the standard fix that Harley dealerships will give you unless you want to go with the gear driven system and cams, which is again our first suggestion depending on you budget of course.   Harley Cam Gear Chain Replacement Complete Gear Drive Kit Picture (installed) Harley Cam Chain Tensioner back side Harley cam chain tensioner (twin cam)(backside)   Email that spawned this episode:   Subject: Plastic Shoes with cam chains   Marc Littell of East Tennessee First just wanted to say thanks for the great content you guys put out. I commute a couple hours to work on an airplane and the Law Abiding Biker Podcast is always playing. I am new to Harley's, I've had a few older metrics and always have had dirt bikes, and the service video was great inspiration in completing the service. It really is simple to complete after watching you guys tackle it on the video.   I have read about a potential problem with the plastic shoes associated with the cam chains. Do you have any info on this issue? This is a small quote from an article on JP Cycles.   "The problem is the design of the cam chain system. It uses plastic "shoes" riding on the cam chains that can (and do) wear out. Harley has made some changes in later model bikes, but even with the new hydraulic tensioning system, it is not a true fix."   Link to article he is referring to   He is referring to our #1 Rated Harley Davidson Routine Oil Change & Maintenance Video! Tons of bikers around the world are saving money doing their own maintenance & feeling the pure satisfaction of working on their own motorcycle.   Justin (Oscar's) Original Email Response:   I am very familiar with your question, I rode a 2006 Ultra Classic for three years.  Without knowing what you are riding I can tell you this:   1999-2006 Harley Davidson introduced the Twin Cam motor.  In order to run the valve train Harley went to a cam chain tensioner set up utilizing a spring loaded shoe putting pressure on the cam chain with push rods.  They also used, and I can' remember the technical name of the chain, an older chain design.  Indeed the cam chain shoes would wear out partly because of the shoe and partly because of the chain.  Harley recommended getting them checked between 35 and 40K miles.  Problem is they could give out ANY time and were not covered under warranty.  Generally when they go they break up and get sucked up into the oil pump.  This disrupts the oil flow and tells the computer the oil level is low.  This can shut the bike down.  I had not heard of any major engine problems as a result but you would need a new oil pump and new cam shoes.   The inspection and replacement of the inner shoe is expensive and involves removing the oil pump and cam, the outer one shoe is easier but you have to check both of them.  Our dealership wanted $400 just to inspect the shoes, which they wouldn't do because they said if they get that far into it they might as well just replace them.  I thought, why would I replace a faulty product with new faulty products.   Harley, of course, made a fairly expensive upgrade including a new oil pump and hydraulic cam chain tensioners run by the engine oil and re-designed shoes.  They also went to a new style chain.  The new design is very reliable and as of like 2009 I haven't heard of any problems with them.  Of course the upgraded kit was like $400 in parts and $400 to install.   I went with a gear drive cam in my 2006.  More specifically I went with the S&S 510 gear drive.  This eliminates the cam chains entirely and actually produces a little more horsepower by make the valve timing more accurate.  It was not noisy and the 510 cam produced awesome power with the stock 88ci motor.  It was even better when I went up to the 95ci.  Parts and labor was around $1500.00 which included new push rods and lifters, which is usually necessary.   Personally, in those year bikes, I would do the gear drive cam if you plan on keeping your bike for a while.  Some guys rode those year bikes and never had a problem.  Other's had problems at unexpected times.  Harley will tell you that if you are going to replace the shoes or do the upgrade you might as well do new cams, its no more in labor because the cam chest is already open, just the price of parts and a lifetime of reliability if you go gear drive.   If you have any more questions let me know, I researched the various cams, cam timing and cam lift as well as gear vs chain drive.   Other Email  Answered:   Scott Byram of Austin, TX I watched your video on changing all the fluids.  I want to do this on my own and not rely on a dealership, at least for this basic stuff.  So from watching the video, its possible to change all three fluids with the bike on the kick stand.  I have been told the bike should be upright when changing fluids but from the video, leaving the bike on the stand works fine?  Did I get some bad information that the bike should be upright when changing fluids.   He is referring to our #1 Rated Harley Davidson Routine Oil Change & Maintenance Video! Tons of bikers around the world are saving money doing their own maintenance & feeling the pure satisfaction of working on their own motorcycle.   My Original Email Response:   So, it is not critical to have the bike level. Here is the deal: Do everything on the kickstand if you like. If you feel so inclined and after everything seems to have been drained, you can stand the bike up level for 15-30 seconds and get the last little bit out.  But, at the end of the day that is just going the extra mile. That is why you might hear someone say that the bike "has to be level".   Honestly, sometimes I do that if I remember, but at the end of the day it is not critical.   MC-1 Honor Run (Motorcycle Run) Announced:   Release of another Free Video:     Extract Remove Harley Primary Cover Stripped Bolt ________________________________________________________________ CHECK US OUT AND SUBSCRIBE:   Website: http://www.LawAbidingBiker.com   Email & Voicemail: http://www.LawAbidingBiker.com/Contact   Phone Hotline: 509-731-3548   Twitter: https://twitter.com/LawAbidingBiker   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lawabidingbiker        YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/scrappy587     Google Plus Page: https://plus.google.com/b/104041070580228657262/+Lawabidingbiker587   Instagram: http://instagram.com/lawabidingbiker     RSS: feed://www.LawAbidingBiker.com/feed   iTunes Direct Link to Podcast:  https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/law-abiding-biker-podcast/id622424087    Stitcher Radio: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/law-abiding-biker-podcast   TuneIn Radio: http://tunein.com/radio/Law-Abiding-Biker-p562288/

Even those that have never ridden a motorcycle have either heard of or watched the show themselves. The show has had a long lasting impact on many and we wanted to dive into and reminisce in this podcast episode. We have it packed with information and fun facts. There were many actors that appeared in the series each season, which aired from 1977-1983. Of course we all remember the main duo, Officer Jon Baker, played by Larry Wilcox, & Officer Frank Poncherello (Ponch), played by Erik Estrada. Sgt. Joseph Getraer played by Robert Pine was their direct supervisor on the show. Don't forget the beautiful Randi Oakes who played Officer Bonnie Clark. Ponch was the macho, rambunctious one and Jon washis straight-laced partner. The two didn't always see eye to eye on set, but have since reconciled. Each had their contract negotiation issues later in the series. Larry Wilcox actually did not return for the entire last season due to salary issues. Check out the Free Law Abiding Biker Podcast App! LAB-70-Why You Should Have Officers, Leadership, & Structure in Your Motorcycle Biker Club PT. #2

Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com  PODCAST & BLOGB-This is part two of a two part motorcycle club leadership podcast series. You really need to listen in on Episode 69 (Part 1) of the series to put this episode in context.   Motorcycle biker clubs can operate in many different ways. Some are unorganized and lack leadership within. In a sense, and depending on your definition, that may not even be considered a true "motorcycle club", but more of a "riding group". In my years I have watched many motorcycle clubs and groups come and go and I can guarantee in most every case it was because of a lack of organization, structure, and leadership. With poor or no leadership there is no order or any reason for members to even have order. With that comes little groups & clicks within, lack of direction, lack of order, lack of pride, & lack of control. That will all erode a club or group's foundation in time. _____________________________________________________________   CHECK US OUT AND SUBSCRIBE:   Website: http://www.LawAbidingBiker.com   Email & Voicemail: http://www.LawAbidingBiker.com/Contact   Phone Hotline: 509-731-3548   Twitter: https://twitter.com/LawAbidingBiker   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lawabidingbiker        YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/scrappy587     Google Plus Page: https://plus.google.com/b/104041070580228657262/+Lawabidingbiker587   Instagram: http://instagram.com/lawabidingbiker     RSS: feed://www.LawAbidingBiker.com/feed   iTunes Direct Link to Podcast:  https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/law-abiding-biker-podcast/id622424087    Stitcher Radio: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/law-abiding-biker-podcast   TuneIn Radio: http://tunein.com/radio/Law-Abiding-Biker-p562288/

LAB-69-Why You Should Have Officers, Leadership, & Structure in Your Motorcycle Biker Club PT. #1

Official Website; http://www.lawabidingbiker.com  PODCAST & BLOG-Motorcycle biker clubs can operate in many different ways. I helped start and was the president of another larger motorcycle club chapter for many years. I also helped create and form the Sworn Few LEMC from the ground up, in which I am currently the Mother Chapter President. I can tell you, successful clubs that want very close knit long lasting brotherhood & success havea structured environment and leadership for an array of reasons. Overall, lack of leadership and structure will ultimately lead to problems that often times ends a club or groups existence. And that is a shame. What type of leadership & structure should my motorcycle club have? A traditional motorcycle club can have an array of positions, which can all have a varying degree of responsibility within the club structure. At minimum, a successful club should hold elections and have the membership elect a President, Vice President, Secretary, & Treasurer. Sergeant at Arms and Road Captains are very nice to have and can be elected or appointed. Bylaws will be of utmost importance, which will guide election protocols and term limits. Once a motorcycle club or group elects officers then very detailed bylaws should be written with input from all members. Bylaws should not be taken lightly and in the end may decide whether a club succeeds or fails. A Bylaw Committee within can be formed and oversee that process if necessary. Those bylaws must be voted on before they can go into effect as a rule of thumb. As a motorcycle club member do you give up your voice to change things within a club? Absolutely not, if the bylaws and structure of the club are formed properly at the very beginning. Leadership within a well organized club is never about who has power nor should it be. These leaders oversee and protect the club's reputation, performance, standards, and direction. Leaders within a motorcycle club are  essentially conductors of what should be a smooth running operation. The power ultimately remains with the membership and that is the way your  bylaws should be written form the start. For example, in the Sworn Few LEMC the president of a chapter only votes in the event of a tie between membership, which hardly ever happens. We are very proud of how we wrote our bylaws and it keeps any one person from having too much power or control in the club. Of course, there always needs to be some exceptions, such as in the event of emergencies, safety concerns, or a conflict which puts the clubs reputation, function, or order at immediate risk. Of course all those matters which are decided on the spot by a leader will still later be voted on by the true power, which is the membership. Hopefully, with proper member selection a leader never has to use that sort of authority. Remember the golden rule; the number of members should never be a priority, but instead quality of members and true brothers. The larger an organization is, the harder it is to keep it in order. There should not be a big stronghold of power by any one individual, to include the president. One of the main reasons for having structure and oversight is to make every effort to screen and only accept members that will not tarnish the tight brotherhood or cause problems. Screening possible members should be the absolute number one priority for leadership and members within a club. Gaining membership should take time and minimum prospecting times should always be followed, so nobody can ever be "fast tracked" into a club as a member. Gaining membership needs to be very strict and bylaws for selection should be in place. Many clubs fail, because they had a few bad members within and they failed to address the issue, thus they had a lack of le Wadership and order. One or two bad members can ruin years of trying to establish a brotherhood unless you have protections in place. I see too many large motorcycle clubs giving easy membership to members just to gain numbers. Their reputation, respect, and legitimacy within the law abiding biker community suffers. Nobody will ever be proud of their brotherhood if they either didn't start it or they never had to work to gain membership & wear that patches. When you earn something you become proud of it. What are some of the obvious reasons you should have elected leaders & structure in your motorcycle club? Any organization suffers if they lack leadership, not just motorcycle clubs. That is a simple fact that gets proven time and time again. Why do you think big fortune 500 companies have a strict structure and many different leaders? They did not make it onto that list by just all "hanging out together" and running amuck. No, they saw something great, organized over time, and put processes in place to assure their ongoing success and growth. They didn't want loose what they had and that required leadership and structure. Imagine our military without any structure or order. The first thing that would happen is there would be no pride in the military if they just hung out and headed to the battle field when they needed to. Being involved in a structured club makes your brotherhood so much tighter and assures your existence if done properly. Having structure and leaders lets everyone know inside the club their visions and direction. I will tell you every group or club, regardless if they have elected officers yet, has unrecognized internal leadership going on. Yup, I guarantee each member of a group has different skills and input to offer. There are those in the group that are more involved than others and want to take the group to the next level and preserve the brotherhood. There are those members that always head up rides and organize things. There are those that are looked to for technical skills or mechanical skills. There are those that are looked to for their riding skills. There are those that are good mentors with new riders joining in. There are those that are good dealing with conflict and mediating. The list can go on and on. So, don't think for a minute that you are exempt and don't have some sort of structure already, even if you consider yourself simply a group of riders at this point. The more you hang out the more those roles will be recognized and flourish, so let them. The only thing you are lacking likely is you haven't verbally admitted you have leaders within and to recognize those roles as positive. Any smart private organization leader recognizes its members strengths and weaknesses. They capitalize on the strengths of its members to make the organization run smoother and have bigger successes. In turn, members feel empowered to work hard and make a difference within the organization and it gives them purpose. Yah, basic leadership 101 here that is proven to work time and time again. With organizing a group often comes particular logos and branding (patches). Everyone develops those patches and then wears them with pride. This instills a sense of belonging and pride. Members may wear a particular vest to look sharp. This dress code lets everyone know that you belong to something elite and are proud. It makes the members bond and feel tighter as a group. It makes outsiders wonder what it would be like inside and maybe seek membership to something elite and organized. Do you think a sports team would feel proud if they didn't wear the same logos, clothing & have structure? They would never improve as a team if they didn't have rules, structure, and leadership. They would feel "unorganized". The same holds true for motorcycle clubs. With leadership and structure comes professionalism to the club. Things are organized such as websites, social media, and correspondence to name just a few. Staying up to date on these thing can be very important depending on where you live and whom you work for. We all know that some ignorant government entities, citizens, or employers look badly upon belonging to a motorcycle club, because of one television show they might have watched depicting criminal bikers. Being transparent, having direction, and order keeps the club out of the spot light. All these things are diTscussed amongst members during regular meetings and rides, so the club vision and direction stays on track. Any bumps in the road can be dealt with immediately by good leaders to step in and steer things. Proper structure motivates members who are very proud & find purpose. We found that you get together more often to ride on a moments notice. That is the foundation of our club. You feel a responsibility to get together with you brothers to keep that tight bond and pride. Calls to action, such as a club member or a community member in need, rapidly come together. Having leaders in place make these these type of situations run smoothly & shed good light on the club. Other member's families become very important, as you are part of something organized and it all goes back to the true brotherhood. With bylaws and leaders you can make sure regular meetings and get togethers are maintained. Attendance can be mandated with the utmost caution to family matters and work requirements. This can be done in many ways, such as using Skype or other like platforms if need be for attendance. There are many other ways to accommodate attendance when physical attendance is not possible. However, physical attendance is so very important and should be the first choice. Getting together regularly and communicating is important to the organization, but also to maintain that tight brotherhood. Too many "sloppy" motorcycle clubs these days have what they call members on paper.  They may only see these members once a year, if they're lucky. They likely had no prospect period or evaluation and simply purchases or were given their patches. In fact, the last club I was with had members like this and they still do. That is unacceptable to me and will never happen in my current club. How can you call those individuals members or brothers when you never see them? That is because they lack of proper bylaws and structure. Here in the United States it is required to become an organization if you get into any kind of charity work. If you want tax exempt non-profit (501 C 3) status then you will be forced to create these positions if you don't already have them. Why, because the government recognizes that structure and leadership is necessary to run a non-profit organization and there needs to be accountability and regular meetings to stay on track. Closing If you are thinking about starting a motorcycle club or forming your existing riding group into a structured club with leadership, then my suggestion is to get going with it. It is a lot of work and not to be taken lightly, but is very rewarding. Or you can look into existing clubs and seek membership or to start you own chapter. That can lessen the burden and work associated with start up. Just make sure its the right club with your ideologies. Don't ever compromise on a club or you won't be proud. To me there is clear cut evidence over a long period of time to show being structured and having leaders does not hinder a club, but only propels it forward if done right. If you care about your brothers, want a tight bond, and to exist as a group a long time to come then you will have to take the next step. If your not into having close brothers & being unorganized then just go ride by yourself or with one other friend. Why are you in a group ride setting at all? I'll tell you why, because you want to belong to something bigger than yourself! That is just human behavior. LAB-68-Sit, Stay, Ride Motorcycle Sidecar Dogs Documentary Film Interview With Creator Eric Ristau

Official Website; http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-In this episode I have the pleasure of interviewing Eric Ristau from Missoula, Montana. Eric and his wife Geneva are independent filmmakers. Their most recent film is called Sit Stay Ride and is a special story of America's motorcycle sidecar dogs and was about a year in the making. They started the film as a crowdfunding project on Kickstarter and it was quickly funded and went into production. It was clear many supported this sort of movie, which is a documentary film on motorcyclists and their dogs that ride in their motorcycle side cars. The movie is filmed in numerous states and riders from all walks of life are subjects of the documentary. The movie really captures the essence of both the freedom of riding a motorcycle along with the close relationships between man and dog. So, the movie will capture not only the attention of bikers & motorcyclists, but also that of avid dog lovers. Or anyone who wants to see a well put together documentary and be inspired about the simpler things in life. The best part is that 25% of the proceeds of this film will be donated to animal rescue organizations! The movie is available on DVD, Bluray, and it can also be purchased or rented to immediately stream and view. Additionally, you can also bring the movie to the big screen by hosting a screening in your area by going to Tugg.com Sit Stay Ride: The Story of America's Sidecar Dogs - Official Trailer from Ristau & Liimatta on Vimeo. LAB-67-Motorcycle Lift Tables & What you Need to Know-Guest Ian Gilmore of Redline Engineering

Official Website; http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-We have created a new resource here at Law Abiding Biker™ Podcast & Media. There is now a page that has everything to do with motorcycle lift tables and jacks. We are reviewing, filming, and testing these lifts and jacks for all the bikaholics out there! The market is saturated with these things and it can be very hard to sift through. Yes, there is a lot of junk out there and some are even unsafe! In this podcast episode you will listen in as I actually talk with Ian Gilmore of Redline Engineering. I end up ordering the Titan 1000D motorcycle lift table and you get to hear the entire process! Ian has a ton of information about motorcycle lift tables and the industry in general. The market is saturated with motorcycle lift tables, jacks, & companies. It can be overwhelming when you start shopping for a lift. The last thing we want is for a biker/motorcyclist to spend their hard-earned money on a motorcycle lift table or jack only to get ripped off or treated badly by a company that doesn't care about them. Customer service is super important to us here and we will not give our money to any company that does not have the absolute best of customer service. There are just too many choices for me to put up with that. There are many things you need to be aware of when shopping for and purchasing a motorcycle lift table.  There can be shipping complications that can leave you high and dry if you don't have the necessary facts, information, and procedures. That is exactly what this phone call is all about with Ian. Listen in and we can all get educated together. LAB-66-Skully AR-1 Motorcycle Helmet vs. Harley Boom!™ Box Infotainment System

"Official Website; http://www.lawabidingbiker.com " Skully AR-1 Helmet $1,499 PODCAST-In this episode we talk all about the new Skully AR-1 motorcycle smart helmet that can be ordered in matte black or gloss white, sizes small through XXL for $1, 499. And the San Francisco based company says they predict you will get the helmet into your hands in July of 2015. What is the hype with this new motorcycle helmet and is it right for you? Do you ride a sports bike, dual sport, or a cruiser? It does make a difference for many. Do you want more technology in your face? Or do you want to detach for a bit and feel the wind in your face? The Skully AR-1 smart helmet has a very small cube screen that sits off to the lower right of the rider's cheek inside the helmet. This cube heads up display screen sits behind the visor and is attached. The helmet has a fisheye style camera in the rear. A rider can glance over and to the right and see what is behind in the heads up display. At the same time the rider really doesn't have to take his eyes off the road in front of him. Additionally, the Skully AR-1 has integrated GPS with integrated speakers for turn by turn directions along with bluetooth capability to connect to your smartphone and listen to music. You can also talk on your bluetooth connected smartphone while riding your motorcycle. Things such as your speed can also be displayed in the heads up display. It is all finished off with a technology fighter pilots use to tint the visor with the push of a button. CEO of Skully Systems Marcus Weller's biggest selling point for the AR-1 is the ability to have situational awareness and keep line of sight on the road in front of you. The idea of the Skully helmet came to him after he was involved on a motorcycle collision when looking down at a GPS unit. He started it all off with a crowd funding campaign, which quickly grew. Marcus Weller will certainly have an immediate market for the AR-1 in the sports bike and dual sport motorcycle arena, however at $1,499 many of those riders won't make that huge financial leap either. They will stick with their current full face or modular helmet. It is going to be hard for the AR-1 to make an impact in the enormous cruiser motorcycle riding market. A majority of bikers on cruisers, especially Harley-Davidson, may not want this helmet nor give it a second look. Bikers like this want an open face helmet, the wind in their face and maybe even a detachment from some technology as they ride into the sunset with no thoughts or stresses. Harley-Davidson already has all this technology and more in the form of the awesome Boom!™ Box Infotainment System (in dash), but not in a helmet heads up display like the AR-1. Harley started outfitting touring models with the system in 2014 and continue to do so. The Harley Boom!™ Box system has integrated GPS with turn by turn voice guidance, bluetooth, wireless streaming music form your smartphone, the ability to receive phone calls, satellite radio capabilities, and more all on a gorgeous 6.5 inch touch screen display. You can hear you music through the large fairing speakers while riding at 70+ down the road. And still feel the wind in your face. Check out our #1 Best Selling Boom!™ Box Tutorial Videos! Of course this Boom!™ Box system comes stock now on new Harley touring models, so for most it is not reasonable to go out, spend an additional $1,499 on the Skully  AR-1, and then basically let the Boom!™ Box system take a back seat. Of course the Boom!™ Box does not have a rear view camera, but that could be added by HD in the future & could even be seen on the very large touch screen display. The one thing that Skully definitely has over the the Boom!™ Box is the ability to use and operate the technology without having to take your eyes off the road. And for many that is the only selling point they need. There are more riders these days on cruiser style motorcycles wearing full faced helmets or those of us that wear them in cold or in-climate weather, so there will be some appeal in the cruiser style arena. I personally think the Skully AR-1 smart motorcycle helmet is pretty awesome, but I love technology and I definitely understand the safety benefits. I would love to have a Skully Ar-1 to check out and ride with on my 2014 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special. For those that want to ride free and feel the wind in their face will likely stick to the Boom!™ Box or other built in units with their open face helmets. They may laugh at a smart helmet like the Skully. For a ton of motorcyclists the Skully is just another novelty item that is unobtainable, because of the steep price point. I do however see the prices coming down over time especially when Skully gets a run for their money and other manufacturers start cashing in on the new smart helmet craze. You really need to listen in on this Law Abiding Biker™ Podcast episode. We get so much deeper into this topic and everyone has an opinion. LD and Oscar were on the mics with me along with Matt Pass from California via Skype. LAB-65-Iron Order Motorcycle Club-Official Podcast Interrogation-Part 2 of 2

OFFICIAL WEBSITE: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com PODCAST-This is Part Two of a two part interview with Ray "Izod" Lubesky of the Iron Order Motorcycle Club. Izod was one of the founding members of the Iron Order MC, one of the "first eight", and the International President for many years.  We dive deep into everything you need to know about this club. The Iron Order claims to be a law abiding club and I can find no credible evidence to the contrary. The Iron Order MC is not a Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC) nor do they claim such. They do have law enforcement members along with many other walks of like. They don't claim criminal 1%er status and don't allow criminals in their club. Some in the law abiding biker world believe the Iron Order may be on the edge and have concerns about what they stand for and what they portray online. There are more risky images & activities online from this club compared to other law abiding biker clubs you see.  There are actual Facebook pages and other media that are dedicated to bashing the Iron Order MC and I don't see that with other law abiding biker clubs.  I ask the tough questions in this interview and Izod has some great answers that may just change your mind if you have any concerns. You will definitely want to listen in on both podcast episodes dedicated to this interview. You won't hear interviews like this on any other motorcycle/biker podcast out there. You've found the #1 listened to Biker Podcast in the world! The Iron Order is a very large international motorcycle club. Like all law abiding biker clubs should do, they refuse to follow the so called "Confederation of Clubs" (COC) unwritten rules, whom have no authority over free members of the motorcycling community. They have no authority over anyone unless you willfully let them control you. For the most part only the criminal biker community gives them any attention. Criminal bikers make up far less than 1% of all bikers/motorcyclists on the road. Because the Iron Order MC wears a three piece patch, is not an LE club, they are out there, they have many large club houses, and refuse to submit to ridiculous unwritten criminal biker code, they may draw extra attention from bashers in the criminal biker world that humorously think the motorcycling majority cares what they have to say. Don't forget, there are other large non LE clubs out there like the Iron Order in many ways. Don't ever be ruled by any unauthorized organization or body. Motorcycling is about freedom and that trumps on the very freedom of this great country and the open road. Part 1 of the interview (Episode #64) About the Iron Order MC (sent by Izod) The Iron Order MC was started by a few hardcore bikers in a garage on July 4, 2004. It is fitting that our club anniversary is celebrated on the same day as our great country's Independence Day since our club is totally independent and beholden to none, to follow our own destiny truly free from all other's rules and protocols. These bikers came from different backgrounds and walks of life. They had a desire to share brotherhood and socialize together as a group of men sharing a like mindset with an iron resolve to have a club of their own under no one's control or direction. That is how the IOMC was started and how it is today. This is the heritage of the IOMC. We refuse to be dictated to by anyone as to who we have as members, where we can have chapters, what we can wear, where we can go, or what we can do. We have learned many things about the MC world over the past years. We respect all clubs and support those that support us. We are independent and choose to mind our own business. We started that way and we continue that way. We run our club by the very same MC traditions established over 50 years ago by the motorcycle clubs. We are not 1%ers. We are not a HOG chapter or a riding club. We are a three piece patch MC. We have chapters in many states. We have a strong brotherhood between all chapters. We are independent therefore we do not belong to any associations. We have our own clubhouses, we have the same probationary and hang around traditions that MC's established many years ago and we stand together as brothers in our club. Those who ride with us, party with us, or know us, know we are bikers. Some have chosen a different road because we do not waiver from our core values. We ride, party and mind our own business. We do not create problems for our community or fellow bikers. We participate in charities that we feel benefit our communities and we support our own. We are veterans, active duty military, construction workers, truck drivers, businessmen, cops, Feds, cooks and any other occupation you can think of. We are about motorcycles, brotherhood and enjoying the biker lifestyle. Our own way by our own rules. We are what we say we are; nothing more or nothing less. If you are law abiding, desire strong brotherhood and riding a motorcycle is not a solo event, maybe we are for you. If you are looking for something other than what we stand for then we are not for you. We are constantly asked... What is the IOMC? Read everything on our website and on our chapter websites. Come by and meet us then you decide for yourself what the IOMC is and if we are for you. ______________________________________________________________   CHECK US OUT AND SUBSCRIBE:   Website: http://www.LawAbidingBiker.com   Email & Voicemail: http://www.LawAbidingBiker.com/Contact   Phone Hotline: 509-731-3548   Twitter: https://twitter.com/LawAbidingBiker   Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/lawabidingbiker        YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/scrappy587     Google Plus Page: https://plus.google.com/b/104041070580228657262/+Lawabidingbiker587   Instagram: http://instagram.com/lawabidingbiker     RSS: feed://www.LawAbidingBiker.com/feed   iTunes Direct Link to Podcast:  https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/law-abiding-biker-podcast/id622424087    Stitcher Radio: http://www.stitcher.com/podcast/law-abiding-biker-podcast   TuneIn Radio: http://tunein.com/radio/Law-Abiding-Biker-p562288/

We loved the SOA series and have mostly good things to say about this completely fictional show about a criminal motorcycle/biker club. Many loyal viewers and listeners of this podcast found the series finale to be a bit anti-climatic and not necessarily written to expectations. It seemed rushed and left many things up in the air. Out of fairness, that may have been the purpose to leave room for a follow up show or movie. WIN an exclusive SOA package of goods! (Enter by December 31, 2014 @ Midnight) Package includes: Custom SOA T-shirt, Custom Law Abiding Biker Podcast T-Shirt, Custom SOA Coffee Mug, Custom SOA beanie! Jax ends up tying more things up in preparation for his death. He advises Nero to take the boys to Norco, CA. He does not want them growing up in Charming and his death is to end a saga of bad family and life decisions over generations. Jax destroys all documents left behind by his deceased father John Teller. He also destroys his own journals and wants to leave nothing behind to be dredged up by anyone. He truly wants a better life for his young boys Abel and Thomas. Accompanying Nero and the boys to the farm will be Wendy, who is Jax's ex-wife, but they recently rekindled their relations. Get all the SOA DVD's (Amazon affiliate link) Sons of Anarchy DVD Set Jax received a Mayhem vote from the president's of other chapters that were selected to review the incident where Jax killed Jury, the President of the Indian Hills Chapter, after Jax thought he had ratted to the Chinese where SAMCRO was stashing their guns. Jax accepts this fate and it seems to be part of his overall plan. After accepting the Mayhem vote his only request was to have one old unwritten club bylaw changed. We learn that he wants each chapter to decide on whether to allow African Americans to patch in. Later, T.O., President of the Grim Bastards MC, is allowed to patch into SAMCRO, changing a long history in the club. We are still not sure why Jax did this other than to do something he saw as good before dying. Jax has a sit down with Chibs, one of the members he is closest to, and explains his plan to die. He wants to leave the club in good hands and for his boys to be free of the life. Chibs of course has a hard time swallowing this pill, but knows he must trust Jax's decision. We learn that the suspicious homeless women that has been seen for 7 seasons now is Jax's guardian angel, often in the form of a Raven. He meets her and she gives him the okay that it is time to put this plan into action. She gives him a blanket and we see a shot of her leaving a piece of partially eaten bread and some wine behind. This is clearly a play on Christianity where Jesus gives his disciples bread and wine as a symbol of his body and blood, which was given up to forgive the sins of man. Jax cleans up some business by killing Berosky in his bakery. Jax then sits on the steps of the courthouse as August Marks is released on bail. Jax has a blanket the guardian angel gave him draped over his head and looks not unlike the reaper. He flings the blanket off of him, stands up, and shoots August Marks ending his reign. Jax meets with SAMCRO on his father's old Harley. The old Harley has been being fixed up over the past few episodes and he finally gets to ride it. This is the same bike his father John Teller died on in a semi vs motorcycle collision many years ago. SAMCRO all vote for Mayhem on Jax by the design of Jax. It is not easy, but they all realize it is necessary. Of course they are so close to Jax and don't want the blood on their hands. In a dramatic scene to make it appear that Chibs will actually shoot Jax, instead Chibs shoots Happy in the arm. This is to make it look like Jax put up a struggle with them and got away. This will save shame from the other chapters by not following through with the execution. Jax hugs each and every member of SAMCRO in a sad goodbye scene. He rides away on his father's old Harley. An APB has been put out on Jax at this point, because he had met with DA Patterson earlier and told her where Gemma and Unser were. Of course investigators quickly found Gemma and Unser's dead bodies and put the pieces together, Jax being the prime murder suspect. Jax rides to the old rock wall where his fathers date of death is written. Jax has a conversation with his dead father when a CHP officer arrives and within a few minutes learns that he is looking at Jax Teller who has an APB on him. Jax shoots at the CHP officer and jumps on the old Harley. A long low speed pursuit ensues and Jax keeps riding on with shots of a Raven (his guardian Angel) overhead. There is an entourage of police officers following Jax with light and sirens on. Patreon DO YOU WANT TO BECOME A PATRON AND SUPPORT US? Soon we see a semi-truck coming in the opposite direction. The driver of the semi is the same as the one that gave Gemma a ride north to her father's home in a past episode. He of course is completely unaware of any of this and is just minding his own business. A banner on the side of the truck trailer reads "Papa's Goods". As Jax and the semi truck close distance Jax veers into the oncoming lane an takes his hands off the handlebars. He puts them into the air in a moment of freedom and acceptance of his fate. He collides head on into the semi truck and dies. We instantly see two ravens on the shoulder of the road next to the same piece of partially eaten bread we saw from Jax's guardian angel earlier. A pool of blood runs towards the bread and symbolizes wine. The ravens then fly off into the distance. The ravens being Jax and his guardian angel. In Kurt Sutter' most twisted spin on Christianity, it is though that Jax sacrificed himself for the club and his sons. That is where the symbolisms of Christianity comes into play with the bread and wine. So, Nero and Wendy likely end up on the farm in Norco. Abel is in the back seat of the car on the way to Norco seen playing with the sons ring that Gemma gave him in an earlier episode. Nobody but Abel knows about this and nobody knows that he has the ring. It is thought that there may be a spin off show with Abel at the head of the SAMCRO table, thus destroying everything Jax died for. He may dig into his father's past because of the ring. Jax did specifically tell Nero to make sure at some point in the future to tell his boys that he was criminal and killer. He wanted the boys to hate everything about him, so they would not fall into to the criminal lifestyle. Sheriff Jarry goes on to be a better Sheriff after talking with DA Patterson. She brakes her ties with Chibs and is not on the take anymore. Chibs makes it clear that it is a dangerous decision to be on the wrong side of the club. Chibs is now the President of SAMCRO and Tig is the Vice President. They now have African American members. The Mayans take over the gun trade and Conner is the number one source for their guns. Conner breaks ties with the Irish and now has his own operation. Tyler of the niners takes over much of the trade of illegal guns and drugs on the streets. All are in together and control the streets. Tig marries the transvestite Venus and they are madly in love. They likely can't have children together, because Venus still has a penis. Does SAMCRO enforce the will of Jax and stay out of illegal activity? Or do they fold and get back into illegal activity? Nobody really knows, but Jax purposely left them in a position to stay out of it. SAMCRO takes the money from Jax's part in Diosa and Red Woody and builds a new clubhouse at Scoops, which is not their homeless. Wendy sells Jax's home and uses the money to help raise the boys. Nero and Wendy move to the farm and become romantically involved. They raise Abel and Thomas together out of the criminal lifestyle. They live happily ever after, ride horses, and pet goats........... SOA Monologue: There will be days when you'll be forced to make decisions that affect the lives of everyone you love, choices that will change you forever. You reach an age when you realize that being a man isn't about respect or strength; it's about being aware of all the things you touch. Children face inward, wallow in their own selfish needs. Men face out, take action on the needs of others. I'm at that place, boys. I'm staring one of those decisions in the face and it looks back at me with historical eyes and it calls me a coward, a killer, a fraud. It wants me to crack, and run from the service of my fate like a broken boy. Today I will not do that. Today, I will be the man my father tried to be. I will make you proud. LAB-63-Justifiable Homicide Ruling for Biker in Jacksonville Beach, FL @ Nippers Beach Grille Shooting

OFFICIAL WEBSITE; http://www.lawabidingbiker.com On June 26, 2014 at 8:00 PM innocent victim Kristopher Stone was forced to shoot criminal biker Zachariah Tipton after he and another Black Pistons member stalked him & then committed a brutal two on one gang style assault on him outside Nippers Beach Grille in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Based on the overwhelming evidence, the State Attorney stated that Stone was well within the law to defend his life from the brutal attack. Unlike other non credible blogs our there, we here at Law Abiding Biker Podcast & Media have remained fair and balanced on this matter and examined what evidence was slowly presented. No assumptions were made here & we were waiting for all the evidence, which has now been released by the State Attorney. There can be no more lies or ridiculous speculation and conspiracy theories. The evidence speaks so loudly as to exactly what happened that only the most ignorant persons would even try to argue. Look at the facts and evidence yourself based on the investigation and the truth will slap you in the face. There is recorded video surveillance of the stalking & entire brutal two on one gang style attack of victim Kristopher Stone. There are over 200 independent witnesses that were interviewed. I love the recorded video surveillance of the attack for its evidentiary value & it puts argument to rest for good. Read Official State Attorney's Release Here Based on the overwhelming evidence, here are the high points and FACTS of the incident: Zachariah Tipton was a criminal with a criminal record, which included a conviction for battery. He was a member of the Black Pistons criminal motorcycle gang, whom are a "puppet club" to the Outlaws criminal motorcycle gang. Tipton had alcohol and marijuana in his system. He had several knives and brass knuckles on his person along with an empty gun holster near his waist and 2 magazines filled with hollow point bullets. He purposely wore his helmet and gloves for the planned attack. Kristopher Stone is a prospective member of the Iron Order MC, which is a non criminal motorcycle club. He is a military vet and was a combat medic. He has no criminal record and was not drinking alcohol, but was only drinking water prior to the attack. He was not carrying any illegal weapons & only his concealed pistol in which he legally carried under the law. Stone was so scared for his life that he urinated himself during the brutal attack. Many of men have urinated during a fight or flight situation. I have even seen men defecate during intense fearful situations. Victim Kristopher Stone was simply standing near some motorcycles outside Nippers Beach Grille near another Iron Order prospective member minding his own business & completely unaware he was being stalked and would soon be brutally assaulted. It was still very light outside and numerous people were around. The recorded video is of great quality. Black Pistons member Zachariah Tipton is the last of a group of Black Piston members that all ride past the victim and park their motorcycles down the road. Tipton purposely leaves his helmet and gloves on and with other Black Piston members starts walking towards Stone's location. They use the cover of several parked automobiles and snake around them to try and sneak up on Stone. Tipton actually ducks into a breezeway for a moment during his secretive animal like approach. Two members snake around the front of victim Stone and Tipton comes up behind him. Stone was likely not aware Tipton is behind him. Without notice Tipton sucker punches the victim from behind and he goes to the ground. Tipton & the other Black Piston member begin brutally punching and kicking the victim while he is on the ground. It is two grown men beating the victim after sucker punching him. There are multiple other Black Piston members walking towards the assault. After about 10 seconds of being brutally assaulted victim Stone is able to get his pistol and shoot Tipton in the head, which immediately stops the assault and Stone is able to get Tipton off him. Black Piston members start running like scared children from the scene & in a panic leaving their so called "brother" behind to die alone. A couple Black Piston members return to Tipton's body for a moment and remove something from him. One of them removes his own vest and wraps the item in it and they leave. Once again leaving their so called "brother" alone. They obviously removed illegal contraband from his body and left with it. They are also seen removing mouth guards from there mouths. They had these in anticipation of the assault. Victim Stone knowing to have just shot someone and knows Police will have many questions does not want to be armed when they contact him for safety reasons. He has the other prospective member take very temporary custody of the pistol he used. He does not run from the scene and appropriately stays and fully cooperates with law enforcement's investigation. The pistol he used is immediately given to law enforcement for investigative purposes and he gives a full statement that is later found to be 100% accurate and is corroborated by many witness and the surveillance video. There were independent witnesses that saw the attack first hand and described Tipton & the other Black Pistons members as seriously beating and attacking the victim while he lay on the ground. This is indisputable eye witness and video surveillance evidence. Victim Stone was so fearful for his life that he believes he fired all the rounds in his magazine. He struck Tipton once in the head, which was fatal & stopped the threat on his life immediately. Self Defense: The State Attorney clearly stated this was justified self defense and anyone who watches the video will agree. Stone is being attacked by two members known by all to be criminal biker gang members of the Black Pistons. That is undisputed and any member of a 1%er club will be proud to tell you and to wear the patch. Simply put, they are a 1%er club and are criminal in nature. Stone used great restraint before shooting, likely too much. Stone was approached by Tipton and several other members of the Black Pistons. They began surrounding him and boxing him in. Stone was likely unaware Tipton was behind him and focused on the two Iron Piston members in front of him. It is only after being surrounded by criminals, sucker punched, and brutally assaulted that he finally fires his weapon to stop the attack. You see, in all reality Stone would have been justified to shoot much earlier after being surrounded by well known criminal biker gang members of the Black Pistons. Especially after being sucker punched from behind, which would certainly show their intent. Tipton was taller and about 30 lbs heavier than  Stone. Victim vs. suspect size is important in the eyes of the law in situations like this as is any knowledge of special training or abilities. Certainly the law takes into account when the perpetrator is bigger and a victim is being attacked by two adult males as in this case. Remember, that much of self defense is subjective and what a person reasonably fears at that specific time. Stone used much restraint, but one does not have to wait to be struck by the first blow before protecting themselves with force or even deadly force and the law makes that clear. It may be too late to wait for the first blow, which could leave you incapacitated. Once incapacitated one can't protect themselves and all that is taken into account by the law. Stone shot to stop the threat on his life and it was effective. What can be learned? Don't join a criminal biker gang and act a fool. Don't believe the allure of brotherhood that they claim. Everyone saw the so called "brothers" of Tipton simply run away like scared children and left him alone to die. None of his brothers cared for him or provided first aid. Their true character was revealed. It is clear that Tipton made bad life choices over a long period of time and this was another one. It is not like you see in movies and television where you can just brutally attack people, use intimidation, and commit crimes without recourse of any kind. Your lucky if you get arrested and don't end up dead as in this case. Yes, innocent bikers will defend themselves against criminal biker gang member attacks. How can you be proud of yourself or carry any legitimacy when you have to have your gang buddies back you up and you stalk people before you assault them. You fight only with your gang present and have to carry & use illegal weapons like brass knuckles to assure a win. You make sure that you have multiple attackers with you so the victim is outnumbered. There is no pride in sucker punching someone from behind & you are weak if you do that. You wear helmets, gloves, and mouth guards to viciously attack your victims. This kind of attack is just like Heyena's attack and they are called the cowardly scavengers of the wild. Make good decisions and don't play these street games and this will not happen to you. Join a good law abiding biker motorcycle club where you are cared for and don't have to try to impress your buddies by doing juvenile acts. Don't join or become a puppet club and have to impress the bigger club, so you can feel like you belong. It is all just so juvenile and senseless. Criminal biker gangs are less than 1% of bikers out on the road. They ride much less than the innocent biker out on the road. In fact hey are not really about riding motorcycles at all. They have no legitimacy except in their own minds. Most bikers are law abiding hard working individuals who have a passion for riding motorcycles. True bikers just want to get away, ride, and meet other bikers around the world. Respect of each other should always be the number one goal for all bikers regardless of club affiliations. Isolated incidents like this are the reason bikers have a bad name and reputation with the public and media.   Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up! RESPECT......... We only have one more episode, which will air next Tuesday December 9, 2014, before the series finale! We are all so sad that our beloved "fictional" motorcycle club show will be over. You absolutely won't want to miss this Live Podcast Episode. Don't worry, if you can't listen live we will be releasing the regular on demand podcast episode on iTunes, Stitcher Radio, TuneIn Radio etc. the following day as usual. We are going to have so much to say and the studio will be full. Lurch, Chewy, and Ryan Urlacher will be live and we hope to have one more mic hot that night. We will likely even have a giveaway! Here is a brief of what is going on and our predictions Everything Jax is doing this episode seems to be steering towards his acceptance that he is going to die. He has a leg ailment that we believe to be much more serious than is being let on. He may know that he is going to die and is using that as a reason to square everything away. He seems to be trying to get all the criminal street hustlers to agree on an ultimate takeover. However, he is leaving SAMCRO completely out of the mix. This is likely because since taking the presidency he has always wanted to get SAMCRO out of criminal activity. That is what his deceased father John Teller wanted and wrote in his secretive journals Jax has been reading. Jax seems at peace and often smiles even though he will likely die. The SOA presidents meet and Jax admits that he was wrong about Jury, President of the Indian Hills Chapter, being the snitch and in fact it was Charlie Berosky. Jax admits that he was caught up and lied to them & that he killed Jury. The presidents all know that based on this information a Mayhem vote to kill Jax is going to take place. Jax doesn't care and says for the best of the club he will make sure and have all his guys vote for his death. In return Jax wants them to remove and unwritten bylaw/rule, but we are not privileged to know what that is. Patreon DO YOU WANT TO BECOME A PATRON AND SUPPORT US?   We believe Jax wants the unwritten rule removed, which is that SOA MC does not allow black members. Remember back that Jax asked the President of the black Grim Bastards MC if he would patch over (join SAMCRO) and who he would bring with him. The President of the Grim Bastards even told Jax that black members were not allowed and Jax told him, "not yet". We believe that the reason Jax wants this allowed is so before his death SAMCRO gains valuable new members and protection of the club. Many of us were so surprised that Jax actually pulled the trigger on Unser, but most importantly on Gemma, his mother. We think Jax knows that he is going to die, so he will not have to live with the fact that he killed his own mother who had betrayed him. You see, Jax may believe that only way he ends this senseless violence and lifestyle is to end both Gemma's life and his own. The only way to break the cycle is to make sure they don't exist. This may be the only way that his sons Abel and Thomas don't have to live the very life that both Jax and his father John Teller lived. With Gemma and he gone there will be nobody to introduce them further to this lifestyle of violence and murder Nero is already taking Wendy and the boys to the farm where he wants to retire from running the Biz Lat street gang. He wants out as bad as anyone and Jax encourages him to take Wendy and the boys. He thanks Nero for taking care of the boys. This further indicates that Jax is going to die and wants to leave the boys in the hands of Nero as a father figure. Wendy will of course be the mother figure. Jax ends up having intercourse with Wendy at the end of this episode. We believe that Wendy will become pregnant from this and have something to do with the series finale and we may get some glimpses into the future. Will Abel be seen at the head of the SAMCRO table as Chewy has predicted? We have a ton more predictions and insight into what is going on, but you really have to listen in to get into the know. LAB-62-Can a Business Legally Refuse Service to Bikers Wearing Patches/Colors?

OFFICIAL WEBSITE: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com   PODCAST-Is it legal for private businesses to refuse service to members of the law abiding biker motorcycle clubs for simply wearing "colors", club affiliation patches worn on biker's vests? We have been asked this question many times here and recently received a voicemail asking this very question once again. You may hear many different things and less than truthful information and that can be frustrating for many bikers. So, as usual we broke it down for the biker community, so listen in on this debate and information! At the end of the day it doesn't really always matter what we as bikers believe should happen, but what is fact. Know that this will likely be a civil issue unless your behavior turns it into a criminal issue. Things to think about before acting: If you are confronted with a business refusing service to you as a biker then take a breath, leave calmly, and never go back to or support that business. You will never win by causing a scene or getting disorderly. If you believe your civil rights have been trampled then converse with an attorney to see what your legal options are if any. At best it will be a long expensive drawn out civil lawsuit, so choose wisely. Further, share your experience with as many bikers as you can via podcasts, other social media platforms, local media etc. In this day an age it is not tough to get the word out to let bikers know of "not biker friendly" establishments and we can hit them in the pocket book where it really matters. This may also bring awareness to many. There are websites and social media platforms dedicated to this. It will serve no purpose to cause a scene, as the business will then really have a reason to have you leave the premises. Plus, that is exactly how these business owners expect you to act, because they watched one television show at some point in their life depicting criminal bikers. Do the entire biker community a favor and walk away and handle it through proper channels. We don't want to damage the image criminal bikers have already given us, which is why these businesses don't want us in their establishment in the first place. Do your best to be polite and make them double think their decision. You have to realize that most persons that aren't in the motorcycling community may not readily know the difference between patches and clubs, so patience and education over time and our actions is the only way to handle this. Federal Civil Rights Act: The Federal Civil Rights Act guarantees all people the right to "full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages, and accommodations of any place of public accommodation, without discrimination or segregation on the ground of race, color, religion, or national origin." The right to refuse service-Can they really do this? Like it or not, businesses or venues appear to have the right to refuse service at times, but there are civil rules and guidelines for that sort of action. Much of this argument is subjective and not objective. What I mean is that if a business simply admits that they refused service to a biker with patches solely for that reason, then that biker may have a civil case. Or clearly, if they refused service based on race, color, religion, or national origin then they would have a civil case. However, it seems clear that if the business believes that your [biker] admittance may cause issues or safety concerns then they can refuse admittance or service. That would be the "subjective" intent of the business owner. Not just the "objective" matter of you wearing a patch and that you belong to a motorcycle club. Case law seems to point towards some guidelines: Owners of establishments, or venues, cannot just arbitrarily discriminate because they don't like what someone is wearing. If an establishment does have a dress code, they must enforce the dress code uniformly so that it is applicable to all, and so that it is not enforced in a discriminatory manner. So, it seems that if an establishment has a "no biker club patches allowed" policy and enforce it uniformly to everyone then they seem to be within their authority and following case law. Additional Considerations: In addition to the protections against discrimination provided under federal law, many states have passed their own Civil Rights Acts that provide broader protections than the Federal Civil Rights Act. California's Unruh Civil Rights Act makes it illegal to discriminate against individuals based on unconventional dress or sexual preference. Our Tech Gripper Cell Phone Motorcycle Mount Affiliate Link: Need a motorcycle cell phone or GPS mounting solution Bikaholics? Check out our COMPLETE REVIEW Check out these awesome cell phone mounts No additional cost to your, but we get a small commission for each sale. In a recent case, a California court decided that a motorcycle club had no discrimination claim against a sports bar that had denied members admission to the bar because they refused to remove their "colors," or patches. The court held that the refusal of service was not based on the club member's patches, but was to protect a legitimate business interest in preventing fights between rival club members. Again, I point out the subjective intent of the business for the refusal of admittance or service. Note that a California court decided that a restaurant owner could not refuse to seat a gay couple in a semi-private booth where the restaurant policy was to only seat two people of opposite sexes in such booths. There was no legitimate business reason for the refusal of service, and so the discrimination was arbitrary and unlawful. I point out that this business had no stated purpose or concerns other than they stated. State of California The Unruh Civil Rights Act (CC §51 et seq.) (Does not really seem to change anything. It is still seems to be the subjective intent of the business owner. As long as the refusal is not solely based on the motorcycle club membership or clothing) The Unruh Civil Rights Act (CC §51 et seq.) provides that in part that: "All persons within the jurisdiction of this state are free and equal, and no matter what their sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin or blindness or other physical disability are entitled to the full and equal accommodations, advantages, facilities, privileges or services in all business establishments of every kind whatsoever." Any person whose exercise or enjoyment of rights secured by the Constitution or laws of the United States has been interfered with, or attempted to be interfered with may institute and prosecute a civil action for injunctive and other appropriate equitable relief, including the award of compensatory monetary damages. The Supreme Court ruled in the case of Cohen V. California, 403 US 15 (1971) that individuals have the constitutional right under the First Amendment to wear clothing which displays writing or designs. In addition, the right of an individual to freedom of association has long been recognized and protected by the United States Supreme Court Thus, a person's right to wear the clothing of his choice, as well as his right to belong to any club or organization of his choice, is constitutionally protected. Persons or establishments who discriminate on the basis of clothing or club membership are subject to a lawsuit by the person who was wrongly discriminated against by such persons. Conclusion Refusal of service or admittance to patch wearing motorcycle club members, even if a violation if proven, is a matter of civil law and not normally criminal in nature. This will never be decided at the time of the incident and at best would have to be handled later through sometimes long expensive drawn out civil litigations. You can argue with the business or venue as much as you like and it won't likely matter in the end. If your are argumentative and causing concern for other customers or the establishment then there is even more reason for them to have you removed from the premises. By arguing publicly you are confirming ignorant concerns that law abiding bikers are bad people, disrespectful, and on the edge, which is not true. Perception is everything and arguing just feeds the perception we are all trying to get rid of thanks to outlaw motorcycle clubs, television, and other media. The best thing you can do is spread the word about the "non biker friendly business" and hit them in the pocket book.
