Welcome. The car took with many J, 98.9
Northwest FM. Now that she's in a more
Carolina topics tonight. We'll be talking all things
Mitsubishi Lancer, Evo, or Evolution.
For those of you who are cool and say Eve.
Oh man, it's an EVO, I'm trying to and studio with Ray.
CK, what's going on? How are you man?
Not bad and well, it has been a while and mr.
Anthony folk. Hello, Mary, not bad.
Not bad. Always good.
When I see you guys in the studio, which is always a lot of fun. I'd like to say the same.
Yeah, I know. I'm on pretty ordinary guy.
Can really, I'm, I'm not really great.
So tonight we're going to continue with our series of all about so they're going to cook. Going to be called the all about
Syria. So, for example last week with
an all about WRX, now, this week, we're going to do it about their mortal enemy. Well, let me to be either, we'll
get to that a bit later. But in the start race, you had a
couple things. You want to couple of questions
wanted to bring up the four weeks.
Get started on the show. Sure.
Did I really want to talk about, you know, like when you're gonna fix something that, you know, I could potentially be broken?
What more will, you know, would you guys actually go to while everything's getting taken off? Okay, so the pet is dependent on
the, on the part. Free.
So if it's suspension related and you know, if I'm going to do let's say, you know, change is change my, you know, my struts and, you know, shocks or whatever it is.
You have a look at the other look down there.
If there any bushes need changing your tie rod, tie rod ends and stuff like that if they're there and they're accessible and they're cheap and they're not and the parts like are pretty on their way out, you may as well do them well, your honor there because any beachy because then you can get an all aligned stuff. Probably wouldn't want us back
together. Make sense doesn't make sense
engine-wise. I mean, if you're if you're
doing I mean it's all sort of hard to say.
I mean, depending on what sort of car you got as well?
Yeah, big time for for instance. You know, I just had a coilovers
fitted yesterday and nice firm right now.
Certainly is that you know, I tell me while they're there, the radius arms in the front gone and I do not actually have lower control arms at the moment because the arms are the bolts there, but there's no bullshit. Okay, so this is starting to
think You know, Walt there and I'm out, you know, do I do?
Look sway bars tie rod ends ball joints.
Well, we'll talk before the show through a company called white line and will always put if I'm pretty famous around the world with their, with their, your aftermarket performance parts and through three out through our place of work.
We can we can get those parts, you know, very cheap.
I'll be going to say that but yes, Chief fry stuff rice but you know it is probably worth it in.
Terms of your it's a there, an upgrade.
They tried and trued while on the been in the game for years.
You know it'd be worth if you're going to replace him as will get them for the better versions. And if it's going to be cheaper,
if not the same price, I'd be, I'd be all over that.
I reckon that'll be that'll be the way to go.
Well, what do you think anything look?
Definitely look. If you've got all those half of
the components already off and you've got easy accessibility to it and things are on their way out or if you are planning on, you know, obviously changing over and talking coilovers, it's going to be Eventually cause more wear on some of the parts that you do have their. So why not just reinforce it
just supporting mods essentially?
Yeah. You know I don't know how many
people think that bushes and mods but you know, overall if it's better products, better composite material of it, all where's better. It's right there in front of you
just do it. Yeah, complete completely agree.
I reckon I can if it's out of it's ready to go and all if you're if you're planning on doing something and you might as well, like Anthony said, we've talked about this many times.
Supporting mods. I reckon it's a great investment
that I probably make everything you call us at feel great.
Once you've got all the bushes and everything, it's going to feel a million bucks. It's going to feel like someone
like I kept wondering like what the thumping was, you know, in the rear yet to find out that the like the bush the sort of holds the deaf in place, isn't there either if wishes yet, so it's probably a good idea to. Yeah.
Do you to get on top of this? Sort of, I guess put the money
aside. Just think, you know, I will
coil overs is maybe not the priority right now and maybe the deer. Yeah, but secured the coilovers
in any way, so I catch up. You know, what's wrong with
anyway because? All right.
Yeah. And they do a fool like you
safety inspection. Check our it.
Yeah, so yeah. I mean, they're the suspension
gurus. So you'd assume that they'd give
you a proper advice. I always found like, I can't
always quite get in and get everything checked just on Jackson. And Todman that's why I like,
you know, it's gone up in the Hoist they can have a completely better, look at it up and yes and they charge like $20, I think all the more reason to get a hoist.
Every man needs want every man needs a heist.
So even if you listening, I'm getting a Horseman like next week. So it's going to be it's got to
get this out of the house. We can all of them that are
play, so we can't help ya. Jeez, I almost bought a garden
shed through work. Yeah, it's so much fun things
their way. What the hell is anything?
Then I'll make it happen. Iraq.
They CI for the winds. They don't even know that.
The only thing you've got. You've had your car tuned?
Yes. And you haven't been on the show
since you've had it tuned. I'm not too sure.
I think I may have did you. I can't remember, but I thought,
I thought you did. We're going to do it.
Already go. It may have been the case.
It was the week prior to Kill Zone.
But you know, if we have said it, we can always go through it again. Of course, you know, so that's
all been tuned. You got 260 to kill us at the
rear is correct. So step in the right direction,
not quite at 300 yet you get there.
But yeah, definitely on its way, definitely on its way.
And I've personally been in this car and it is very quick.
It's, it's a surprising tune. So smooth, like I wasn't, it was
incredible. That's me, that's you.
Yeah, exactly. A lot of obviously tune is very
different in what they do but the guys that I had basically tune it was blue Power. Yeah up in Campfield they're
very much their bread and butter is your forwards.
Yeah. So they know exactly what's
going on and how it all works and what's best for it.
They're not going to go and obviously you never know really what condition your engines in but they'll do their best.
Not to blow it up. If we get hopes, your hopes are
of course of course. You know.
They take that they take the sensible, you know, protocol.
According to it all as well. I mean, normally in my carve
they would run about 19 PSI boost but due to a few other factors in my car, they're currently running 16, okay?
So it's the case that they're not going to go and push it more than it should if it's not safe. Yep.
Because obviously the last thing I want to do is have the engine, go bang for lasting, the customer wants to do either.
Exactly right obviously I'll be bringing back down to them for a performance issues as they say where they go through all the senses. Has check back on the dyno.
Change over all the fluids, get genuine in this instance.
Genuine Fort filters on the oil filter and the the oil oil and fuel filter. Yep.
And we'll see where that sort of gets us as well, but that'll be retuned as well and hopefully get a bit of a boost.
Yeah. Because there was a few little
things that they were sort of questioning at the moment because I said from a standpoint, my car was starting a little bit lower than what they expected.
Yep. Normally, they expect the
manual. Six turbo used to be about 230.
The rear wheels from Factory. I was starting about 217.
Okay so what is a standpoint I was a little bit behind the eight ball but they say that can be a few things depending on the oil that you've got in there as well as you know you filters and things of that nature tells you remember they're like your cousin 120,000 case. Yeah he's a general wear and
tear does happen. Exactly.
Do I always lose power over the over the life of the car as well. I mean, mines are 2009.
So you know it's been going on for a bit of time now.
It's almost coming. Hang up nine years, when
considering 13 kilowatts in the space of nine years.
It's not really a lot. No.
I mean, essentially essentially with a good service, you'll get it back. Yeah, exactly.
Exactly. And again, it's not that all
comes down to the oils you put in and the filters are used to.
Yeah, so yeah. We'll see what happens.
Next service. And hopefully get a little bit
more power out of that one there.
Just just from the standpoint before we get to any more mods yet. Well, I'm it's a different
experience because you can composing compare.
Your wants my brother's one, my brother one.
The biggest tournaments I was a bit more laggy but when it hits he's gone, he's hotter. Yours is just linear all the way
through. I'm surprised for a turbo mode.
How linear it is. Yeah, yeah.
Well, that was the other part as well.
I guess you soon as comparison and when you get to a supercharger. Yeah.
That's exactly how it feels. It's just like my leg.
Yeah, weird. Yeah, the turbo, when it kicks
in, you feel it, kicking. Yeah, but it's just, it's not
not a punch. It's not a cake.
It's not surprising. You expect it to be there and it
just goes. Yeah.
Comparative to to your brother's looks.
We're obviously is running a little bit more than mind being the be a BF soon. He's getting closer to 300 than
what mine is but here's was very much just harsh I guess you would say would be the best way of describing nothing.
Bang. It was like old-school
turbocharged. Yeah like really just you know
nothing nothing like like like and then boost.
Yeah it was. It's a completely different car.
Yeah, exactly. But then again that all comes
down to the tuners that you use as well.
You know I'm not too sure who looked detune.
It was all with Herod the go there.
Yeah, so yeah. So So you know, hairdo different
June comparative to Blue Power in this instance here and there's a lot of other tuners out there who they'll have different work imperative as well.
Yep. But it's surprising the
difference that each each Junior and how things can sort of go and how they can sort of get that graph as smooth as they can. But, in this instance, here's a
prime example. Yeah, it's just two different
tuners. I mean to essentially similar
cars, but bigger, turbo, small turbo, just Yeah, it was just it's there if you do them back-to-back the chalk and cheese like they are that different.
I'll know we're gonna go to our first break in the now.
We're gonna go to a song by FM 84.
It's called running in the night feeling featuring Ali ride.
We'll be right back after this. Get back on cardstock with many
Json. The studio with Reese and
Anthony mister, mister mister, Exotics, turbo, and mr.
SS Commodore wagon, we're talking during the break about about your sound systems and stuff and under this a All right, they certainly do once designed for you and I thought, hey, if I was good enough for you, maybe it will be good enough for wagon. I still the problem with my
wagon is I still use it a lot with carrying stuff.
Yeah, I'm always that idiot. That has to help everyone move
and do some of that ground. I am that guy, but it's good to
have around though, but the best part about Hardaway sobs.
He's when someone looks in the window stops potential theft because there's nothing, they actually look at exactly right.
Where's Anthony your son? In the middle of your youth.
Yeah. Well look, it is a huge and
look. Once you truck to the left or
the right here, the difference. Yes.
Be in the middle. It is that all you got two subs
so I mean I thought maybe I'd be killing you.
Yeah, yeah. Well I mean already I'm at seven
speakers in the domain 7. Yeah so as I said it's two in
the rear in the rear of it to in the doors and to Twitter's and then I got the sub in the middle.
Yeah. All right.
Yeah. That's what I got my wagon.
We're gonna move it onto to the care of the week.
So, this is all about Mitsubishi Lancer, Evolution.
So, this is my little spiel about it and then we'll also discuss and then we'll talk together as a, as a, as a cohort. Did I seem like my New York's
right now but yet the Mitsubishi, the Mitsubishi, the Mitsubishi Lancer? Evo Lucien as mentioned last
week on, unless we show the Subaru WRX is its closest enemy on both the rally stage and on the road Lancer lens to have long been used in really well before the 1990s, but it was the glance in the in the late 80s that flew their flag.
Like the Legacy. The Galant was a was a very
similar in size to the Legacy being midsize sedan.
And with, and the companies found with rally stage is getting more and more tighter smaller cars we needed to to hang around the, you know, the the shooter shooter stages and to get better times, enter the Lancer for its comeback tour in 1992 Mitsubishi. We saw from Mitsubishi, we saw
that EVO One, Hit the scene, it carried Mitsubishi's.
Tried and true for G. 63 2 liter.
Turbo engine hooked up to a 5-speed manual, and all-wheel drive. Unlike the WRX, the Lance was
based on a front wheel driver. So use the transverse, our
layout, the Mitsubishi Evo, One was a Smash Hit, selling out really quickly in Japan. The Japanese Market, although
new to Group a rally, it used a used a good bit of the gland to mix it up with the big boys in Subaru, WRX Lancia, Delta integrale a Ford Escort RS, Cosworth and Toyota silica silica turbo will GT4 before long.
It was time for EVO to which, which had a small, which had small upgrades to suspension and in a small increase in power, EVO 3 saw the first gens final form with a revised body kit for more flow. More power from a bigger turbo
and a dope starring role alongside Jackie Chan.
As is a Mitsubishi, Evo, lava in his movie Thunderbolt, not snotty 5 saw the new shape, which brought along with it, Evo for this brought along, active, your control.
So what active your control is, is a computer-controlled differential that since torque to the wheels with the best grip. So it's all done by computer,
it's not done mechanically. It's mechanically control.
But it's done with a automation automation, like a little bit of a brain, so Evo 5 & 6 were pretty much more that were the same, but grew bigger, body kits, bigger wheel arches and had more power. Some people regard, the Evo 6 is
the most relieved, 044 Road and this brought along with it.
The Special tommi mäkinen Edition Evo 6, which is very sought after an arguably, the best EVO to be made.
Because of it's because it was Roland was a loss of though.
You know, proper Evo's of people regard them as The third gen Evo. Evo series came in 2001 with the
Evo 7. This was based on the larger
Celia platform, which was a heavier due to FIA forcing establishing to follow WRC rules are not to follow group a rules for homologation for homologation.
You might have thought that's it for either at the stage because, you know, they're going to be big and heavy and slow but you you're very wrong Mitsubishi honed it.
And when I go to either late, May them arguably the best, four-door Sports sedans in the world.
At that time, it was so much more focused on the WRX or SDI it's impossible more direct and it's true nobility from basic modules, unparalleled by similar cars in the segment and out.
Its time, due to this special models were made, outlining their Ally in the power, and the fq 400 was dominated when it came out. And as was made famous by Jeremy
Clarkson, being dripping thresher, and attract, and keeping up with, and being, as quick as a Lamborghini Murcielago. The downsides were the Terrible
Weather you already turn a tricky?
Clutch was Tara was even more terrible fuel economy.
And maintenance costs were far greater than that of a standard evaluate because it's got more power and it was a lot bigger strain on the car. Nevertheless the Evo 9 came out
for and for the first time they offered a 6-speed manual, the final Journey vote came out with the Evo 10, this is the finally vote to be made. It was a bigger heavier version
of the one before. But in typical Evo fashion and
handled better, that handle better and went harder.
Previous version instead of trim up the fq series and along with it, brought a new engine for the first time the for G63 was no longer used. It was it turns to an
all-aluminium for be 11t? It was now available with the
Dual clutch transmission, as well as a manual gearbox.
Mitsubishi announced in 2016, that the would be the end of the Evo and that the create one more addition, the final Edition but this mall has slightly more power.
But was was refined, I was a fitting send-off to the Evo.
Even with an old platform it was based on.
By that time, the Mitsubishi Evo was about eight years old for that shape. The Lancer will end in 2018 with
no successor, which will end Mitsubishi small car, small car segment Vehicles, as like as they like other car companies are focusing on cars. People want like SUVs in the
future. So in the future, they are
thinking of using the Evo name for a hybrid car.
But I think that's just a bit crap.
Yeah, because Mitsubishi Evo is, were always synonymous with Road. Really cause and to put them on
a hybrid. Yeah, probably not my cup of tea
so that is you getting a getting all to know about the Mitsubishi Evolution in under 5 minutes. That's a Chris, pretty much.
Your crash course erisa. Kayani verse.
Thank you. Thank you.
Anthony to be a bit of an EVO fan.
We did see the for G63 coming, a few other engines.
If, so, if you're low fuel, our cars to, with the, with the Air Track, which is the Mitsubishi Outlander.
Yep. Outlanders station wagon again,
little bit down tune but very Very solid, very solid.
We also saw it come out on the Gallant which was the injured came out of. So the for G63 was a very, it
was a very good engine but in the state of came in the eagle talon and Mitsubishi Eclipse, that's like the dumbest a Motors cars. I had over there.
So it's a very well while widely used engine.
But it's a, it was a very good engineer.
That's what my Evo so tunable, because they were just, you can just bolt on and just make huge amounts of power out of her.
For not really a lot of money. Now, I will say the first car
I've ever been I've been in some fast cars.
Wasn't was an Evo 9 that there was like I'm gonna fight even own it. Scared the living shit out of
me. It was it terrified me?
That's how fat. So that's how quick this car
was. I mean, I've been in some fast
VA too fast turbo cars but this thing was on another level.
What impressed me most about it? Was that, okay?
It's hard to drive to get a really, really heavy, like Norma heavy clouds, but like, it's a coach, that's not easy to get used to was the grip that this these cars have.
It was it? When my mom took me in it, Was
absolutely insane to this day. It was pouring down rain.
He just wishes to gravel mode, and it's stuck.
Like, it was like it was dry. It was insane.
So, if you want to call it that, that's going to stick.
Stick Like Glue You by Mitsubishi Evolution.
Now, do we think Mitsubishi did the wrong thing by getting rid of the Lancer and henceforth getting rid of the Mitsubishi, Evo? Well, they've been a very
popular car for a very long time.
They have been It's like I think they saying okay, well there's no point in having a having a standalone model, like a like a like a Turbocharger, sit down model.
If there's not going to be any base model for it to be based on one, the RND would be a lot of money.
And to, you know, if if I mean, if they take anything out of Subarus book, WX is still selling, really really well.
So, I think they're losing a market, they're definitely definitely a well-made. It's always been a competition.
It's always been as they've always been going on WRX for you either. Yeah, it's everyone talks about
it. It's like it's like Scholar of a
Supra. Hold a Ford exactly overstuff
your exit. That's exactly the case of WRX
is still going on. But ya know, even though it
seems like it's a little bit silly, it is a bit silly.
I mean I can see like Mitsubishi is in a bit of a bit of a pickle with money-wise at the moment and I have been for a few years.
So I think I do understand their point of seeking like, for example, a couple million like a few people, how many of a million dollars into it. Project like this would be
always the money probably for them or they don't have the resources for it at the moment but considering the already got all the rally Heritage and all the, you know, pretty much because it, you know, tens still.
Today is a really good car. Like you even though was
outdated in comparison to like let's say you know like the latest model W ax or a Golf R RS.
There's still a very capable car.
I mean if you just if you just update it and bring it back it'll be to me the either was the king.
Of the old drive join rally cars.
So I reckon order to regain its spot pretty easily.
Mmm. Yeah.
Look at the said it's you can understand business business way of things as well. You know, when they do run a
little bit dry, they need to have a look at other avenues for it. But again, in saying that when
you've got such a history behind that car, you think that try and continue it on, all right? At least in that same style of
actual car. Not going into the evening.
Our hybrid they've got because I mean it's not really an EVO, it's not really and that's what other people complaining about it. Yeah.
Yeah. Exactly.
And understandably. So.
But again, you losing a big part of the market there, when you've got such a cult following going on with it, when it's always goes down to the the Evo's in the Rex's.
So I mean do do you need necessarily a base model to be having it based off? Mean you've already got the
history behind it. You just make a standalone
model. Yeah exactly.
And and people So, would still buy it.
I hundred percent again because it's been going for so long.
It doesn't really need a base model.
You still going to have somebody chasing it.
Yeah, you see, the still going to be a need for, for, for, for, for Mitsubishi. Evo, people people want Evo's
because Evo's were, you know, they were arguably.
I stand by my by this thing. I think they were the more
focused car than the WRX. I love my WRX is, but I think
there were that what they were that much more focused and you know, it shows it showed on on the run on the racetrack.
And I mean when we're at Winton that That Eva was faster than that poster. That put GT3 Porsche getting on
the track and it wasn't even on with you.
Just modify the that shows how capable he's cut.
These cars are okay. They were, they were quite
expensive when new but, you know, considering all the performance you're getting, it's, it's pretty damn good.
I mean, for like they came at about 60 65 Grand.
I mean, you're getting into a PV H SV territory though, but you're getting arguably, you know, same with not better performance smaller car. Quit there.
Quicker, more agile, massive Rio will drive.
Massive aftermarket because, you know, Japanese cars have got like huge off the market. I think, I think that the
Mitsubishi's which Mitsubishi is onto a big loss without without the Eva. I mean, it's a bit risky than
getting rid of the small car signal together with the Lancer because it'll cover the entire like the Lance's that that body shapes like 10 years old and it's still such a popular car.
Like when you still say, hey, some around exactly.
So I think that's a bit of a loss on it to be she's with Mitsubishi side because they are start a GoFundMe page for Mitsubishi here on man. Seriously Lancer.
Evo, maybe the you know maybe the stand I think you know this that sword where they might from this time to get bigger.
They're not enough potatoes. I used to be but then they miss
you though just to fit them all into cheese.
I mean, let's be honest. Y'all like the, the first even
if you ever seen like The first year we come across one on the freeway a few few few months ago on the chopper here.
Ya know, that stuff. Do ya Thang really taught me in
the exhaust fell off and it was smoking up.
A storm that thing was, I don't know what the hell is wrong with that thing. Long story short in Mexico, of
course, we were on the freeway coming back after the show in Mexico because we filmed there and he pulls up makes the race and he's the result. And he just goes and then
reasons, like, what the hell, these things open and get traction and hissing, smoking up gone.
Just like smoke from the exhaust pouring out, and he's right going nuts. And we're like, in the, like,
what the hell is this girl from James couldn't keep up in the NP NP s. Yeah, it's like, geez.
I wish I had the FCC would be a challenge as long as it would be. All right, but I'll just get,
I'll just sit in the back and the back of the you and yeah, be right if you cement bags. One match.
I it's all impossible. It's just a cement bag.
And let's be honest, you seem a little bit more useful but ha ha see ladies and gentleman. And this is what we have to put
up with and you've been putting up for a long time.
Yeah. We've been friends since what
price do I regret the day? I said hi to you because then
you bust my balls at work. If it comes, that's pretty
scary. Okay.
Does he what he calls a head? I'm sure does, I'm unofficial
stuff pretty. Well, he comes and he starts
working the other day on Sunday. Well, do one load and anything
he's in and I'm doing I'm gonna try for when the filter.
I'll, it's been a filter as well, in terms like, hey, I'm like, I is amazing, he's putting stuff away, okay, if it was Lucia he's like Jim. Be sure to jail because you
asked me to give you a shout out today.
We will pay you if I get some right on, I'm expecting some money for this. Shout out Jim, I'm expecting, I
don't know. Actually, what is probably a bad
thing to exterior choking, buddy.
Film has already killed by Israelis but pack a weenie gold and I obviously love Europe. Geez.
Now, but look are going to be EVO 3 out of 32 years was was a really, really cool car. It was kind of a bit forbidden
fruit for us because we never got one, two, three, four and five. We got 6 onwards here.
Well, we got six meeting at 7:00 and we got eight, nine and ten, like I feel like, as official as if you can see a boat, we've obviously got one, two, three, four, important as your personal impulse of grain ports, which is, which is perfectly fine.
And that's another thing to talk about next week about that, the law changing because that's Gonna make it a lot harder for us to get imported cars, which is a real pain in the ass.
And it's just, it's a big, it's a big screw you by the government to us, to us current uses.
But we'll get to that again because we live in a nice set of all, but Mitsubishi Evo those that we see how capable they are their practical. I mean, they're gonna boot.
They got you can if you can fit five people in them, few bodies few buddies. I mean, let's be honest here,
for for like if you don't if you need an account was a could you could you could daily and that you could drive, you know, that's practical and you could you draw on the weekends or take it to a track and Mitsubishi Evo is the way to go stop there.
Definitely. I mean there's not there's not
many cars, you can say, I'd just put this put a set of a set of pads in like a racer race pads. Lauren, you just take it to the
track and we'll go all day without pretty much any strain provided that it's you know pretty much entirely maintaining and like not over boosted Off. Ted.
Have you seen that they can take a lot of Busan Factory?
My Mason was like running 24 PSI and that was just that was just with our intake exhaust? Well yeah, get that getting
obviously injectors fuel pump and stuff but it was just it was insane. It was like lag.
Lag, lag, lag, lag. Oh my God.
So Currently, they only want one of those really really cool cars and a car that Mitsubishi, if you're listening, please bring back the Evo. It does have to be based on
their answer and please do, I can be based on an SUV for the love of God and that it be placed on an SUV and no secondary batteries, any nearby, I don't need hybrids.
We don't, we don't need hybrids that.
I read that already on your early cars, we need, we need, wh can balance. We need Focus, RS, Components,
we need golf. Our combatants something that's
going to take on, take the fight to the other W to the other all-wheel drive. You know, be sat on the Road and
Mizzou. She's played, you know that role
for so long and to the same say, uh, well, you know what, we don't really really want to be any part of it anymore.
It's a bit of a kick in the nuts that was Kyle, guys.
We're gonna go to an expert in the not really go to a song by train or something. It's called Miami Nights.
We'll be right back after this. You back on cardstock with many
Jay, stop James from Elvis movies, came back in the studio again. Now bad might not bad, still in
the studio with Ricci K and Anthony Anthony.
If the go go, go with that mr. X 1600 and Mistresses Commodore.
We went about our favorite evos and if he said during the break probably obviously the coolest one, which was the evo 8 wagon.
Yeah. Well anyway, I don't even know.
He was in that same sort of shape overall, but never see him. I know, I know that they're not
actually in portable in It's we do here that makes no sense.
Like surely like you can still get your volume as looking like imported, but you can't get Evo way in either ways.
Apparently it's going to be too damaging to the market really.
Well, there will, there was not that many made to be damaging to the market anyway. Yeah.
But let's be honest, I'm sure if we, really, really wanted to be able to manage it. He's gay self half cut it.
Something is gonna meet well done.
No. Not it, not even, not even
saying, well, dang it. I'm just saying, just get
yourself a doctor. Let me see for yourself.
The half cut, obviously, Driveline was going to be a little bit more different. One actually comes to
converting, inputs to an engine swap.
True just on the older little wagon.
Yeah, or alternatively, you actually import the account going to say this one, it's highly illegal, but I was going to suggest something to do with a VIN number and see my mama, but probably not a good idea on radio.
Yeah, you guys can assume what I'm going at it but it looks good. Yeah, yeah, I swear It's a throw
it in a s. Well I'm sorry officer at stock,
my favorite Evo's. I mean there's 2016 mechanician
Tomy. I Tomy Mackey.
Vo6 is pretty much like a Holy Grail.
Evo have to get it. We have to get it going to look
it up, going to look at. I have to get within the red
with, with the the rally stripes.
On one side of it. What or what year that they look
like in work to actually they look game going, right?
One of those because they Their last of the proper raw Evo's as people used to call them but true, because I want the pretty light and agile and three, I mean, look at it, it's just stupendously like massive guards and you know, fat Wheels.
Yeah. They even had the, the inky Inky
white was up on stage and I believe we should really, really good-looking wheel, but my other favorite Evo was the Evo 9.
Yeah, pretty much what you're looking at right now are ACA that spoiler is big enough to fit a whole family on this gentleman there in science. It's a big Wing, big chicken
wing. Now on, I'm in a bit of so many
events fun, like they just used, like they look stupid, because they're awesome. I mean, body kids are just crazy
crazy Ensign. I mean, the only bad thing that
comes with either ownership is Lancer drivers.
But then they just like make their they put those crappy body kits on that. Make it look like, it looks like
an EVO but they're not an EVO. So you said, I'm gonna handle
this honey though anybody ever badging?
But it's not an EVO. So like like Marty on Mighty Car
Mods and he neither no shots fired, but come on.
It's not legal. I think that was the Jus gettin.
I agree. It's not hashtag team, a bow but
he chopped the actual T vote in on the straightaway.
Yeah, that was quick. We had no way to do it, that's
why. But then a blow up He needs a
for G63, stop ASAP, but what's making that all-wheel drive?
That'd be. That'd be pretty dope to like.
Yeah, it looks like a sandal answer, and then just like, trap you with all driving, that that'll be, that'll be cool.
I'd be all for that. What else?
Cool Evo 9 to me. Because One, the fastest ever
winning, all the first Caribbean wasn't even known and to, because I recommend the best-looking Evo, they're really clean evo 8. So the same shape is over seven,
eight, nine. But even I tell like a big
triangle in the Middle where is like, you are a tool like you're on the grill, really clean and more refined actually look like a really, really nice car. So, I, if I had the money, I
would buy one value wise though. Like they're hot even on the
valley, crazy. Well, yeah, definitely.
All their value, and that's one thing that really like that.
Market. Yeah, yep.
And that's that's one thing that you're that personifies.
Those Valley comes for the road. I mean, if you look at you look
at Mitsubishi, Evo, you look at you.
Look at WRX has. Look at Focus RS.
Has you look at anything? Those all that's from rightly
your golf R's. Yeah.
They hold their value crazily. Well, because, you know, they,
they are sort of that because small light small Market, fun fast. Yep, relatively reliable.
Most of the time. Yeah, I'm right.
Most of the time. Dance Japanese.
Yes, Euro. Are reliable.
I mean, but some of us would be so many videos, black know, even the worst piece decent chunk of our, they break gearboxes and six speeds, but in terms of, in terms of like a good car, if you say, if you wanted to have a good tracker, he's honestly there are I wouldn't put anything past the Mitsubishi Evo, just because you can they operate on your track are ready.
Just as I said before pads and Floyd, and you're all over the all over the track. Is fun, those fun and like that
woman's you before that, that even with short Winton was just that it was going him, like, it was going nuts.
It got the quickie got the quickest time of the day.
Yeah, destroyed it and I was an Evo 9.
Yeah, so he was even registered to I believe.
Yes, it was, red red. Yeah, so that's says a lot for
the for the Mitsubishi, Evo. We're gonna go to a loss of the
night. We're going to go to a song by
Penny G BT. Some school?
Godspeed, we'll be right back. After this, you back on car took
with me. DJ, so we'll talk all things all
about Evo but never about the SS Owners Club.
So rescale, your part of the SSI, um certainly am, you wrap the SS sticker on the car and I do and being being it's like one of the biggest clubs in Australia's because it is massive sponsored by Shannon's. So, by being with my or 15% off
my insurance, 10 to 15% off Autobahn, they have dedicated panel be Is that if you smash your car?
I they know your choice of repair can be any of our.
So I think it's called Bay panels in Portland.
Are like a massive massive supporter, but which everyone goes to. What about my cousin?
Molly shop? You're gonna come there as well.
That's who I'm gonna go. I prefer the smaller ships, but
this is much better. Yeah, yeah.
But yeah, they've just gone from the last sort of few months I've gone from free membership to paid membership.
Okay. So do I actually Be able to get
expensive about about $100 a year, okay, for a single.
But which sort of gives you access to a friend to sort of tag along otherwise families, they're doing like, you know, $150 to adults and couple of kids basically a carful.
But then they're going to do stuff like, you know, because they do a lot of Colder Cruisers and stuff like that.
They'll have like food trucks. They're they're going to give
like vouchers and stuff like that so you know you go there.
You won't get a $20 vegetal its food.
So for a family stuff like that, you know, sort of chipped out a bit especially when you're paying so much in fuel for these cars. But in regards to your son
during the break, how big their their, their meter, it was insane. Well, you know, they have they
have like a meat have sort of like it's not so I didn't know.
It was like 7,000 cars would like excesses in like Israel?
Yeah, man. They have sort of like that have
about twice that just on their Facebook following you.
But then you You've got like, for instance, the Australia Club. Yeah.
And then each state has a club and then like Ballarat for instance, they have so many Commodores that they actually have their own club. That's just just Ballarat SS
Owners Club and you know a lot of guys just put in a lock so you know, Victorian member when they're talking online, you know, when ya. So they had like a meet at Lon.
If you want to go for, I think it was their fifth birthday.
Know about 7,000 cars. Broke up, bloody hell, but it's
From like, you know, guys have original blue meanies and stuff like that. Papa real old, it's pretty much
anything with sort of five later and above that - lets get out.
Yeah. So massive like dick that long
completely. I mean, you see while Holden's
finishing up the Healthy Start, we should say they've kept the common name but they've got the job DSS they have now.
It's a 6-cylinder turbo terrible.
Hey, How's the SS car? It's going to react to that.
Are they going to accept them? I don't, they are not at all.
Really? Yeah, that's V8 to nothing.
Okay. So six cylinder people are
already like shining called in the such.
We actually have they stickers that one of our club members made and we've all bought them and it's basically like, you know, Holden from, I think it was 1948 to 2017 r.
I p. So weird basically saying hold
on the stopped now. Yeah, we're not continuing
Whatever goes on from now. It's just going to be parts that
hard to find. But I mean that I mean that they
should still make some stuff here in the.
I mean it's an LS based engine as well but you're in your car so you'll be fine. Elsa, all the Camaros and that
run them over. I would say it anyway.
Yeah, I mean it's there. I mean they say illest hashtag
else, the world, but we, anything else.
I have steak burger the world Farah from Ricardo.
I'm very honest. That are the coyote that's
pretty dope. They cut off the front of the
Garda fit the motor and then as weld everything back On that's crazy. That's pretty sick, that's
illegal as it works. Look, I'm, we are out of time.
