It's been really weird in Sydney actually. It's been wet all week all of a sudden and cold as

well, which is kind of weird compared to two weeks ago when it was pushing 40 degrees. So

yeah, it is what it is, say? Strange weather. But Roland, you're also going to be at the

Thanks very much. All right, well, let's get into some of the headlines that we spoke about earlier

today. Let's pop this one up first. So this is one of our first sightings, the Xperng G6 refresh.

Finally spotted doing some engineering testing around Sydney. You cannot mistake this car.

It's definitely an Xperng G6, even though it's camouflaged. This is a photo or a couple

of photos from Drive spotted in Sydney, I believe. Yes, Sydney roads. Roland, where is this?

Let's see how well you know, Sydney. Oh, I would have no idea.

I'm the same. Not sure. But oh, cafe, pizza restaurant. There you go. It's a bit of a

clue there. There's two of them, in fact, there's two G6s.

Yeah, I did. I did a register on them. It showed up as G6 standard with the colors. So

no indication of anything. But look, guys, let's cross our fingers for all the drive model, please.

Yeah, let's give the Seeker 7X all the driver run for its body, as well as the Tesla Model Y all

drive as well. There you go. There's Roland's due diligence. There we go.

How do we get Roland? See a red flag there. The variants say standard. It's not top spec.

That's not Roland's spec. That's the exact wording I was looking for. But, you know,

the weights were exactly the same and all of these are just not official registrations, I guess.

So it could be anything. But fingers crossed. We get the fast one. We get a fast one.

All right. At least in all your drive puts competition to Seeker. More choices for the

viewers, the audience, everyone. Yeah. Yeah. More choice. More Roland's spec cars. 100%.

All right. Now, what do you think of this color, too? This is not offered in Australia.

This is got a green-y color. I quite like it.

Yeah. Sorry, Roland. I was going to say, I know it's a totally different car,

but Aston Martin has a green that looks similar to that.

Some people say the Seeker 7X green, that forest green looks a bit Aston Martin-y as well.

There's this purple-y color that Joy likes when she saw it in Hong Kong. Lavender?

Yeah. Something like that. Yeah. So I quite like that as well. So let's see if that makes it in the

country. Yeah. I mean, look, it's an upgrade. A few sort of minor cosmetic improvements inside

and outside. So let's try to ask maybe a true review when we see them at the Sydney show this

weekend. Just one quick thing before we move on, Tom. And this is only me looking at again now.

I don't know if it's just the angle of the specific photo, but if you look at the spoiler

just above the window on this main car and you look at the second one, is that covering a spoiler?

I see what you're saying. So this bit here? That bit there. Yes. Does that look like it's covering

like something additional? Like, is that a spoiler compared to the other car in front,

which looks like it doesn't have it? Yep. That's a good point.

Yeah. It could be. It looks like it's a bit more hooded, right?

It looks a little smaller. Yeah. Maybe that is the performance variant.

That'd be nice. Did the wheels look different? I couldn't see in the photos.

I couldn't see any of them. Yeah, we can't see the other greeny colour.

Yeah, right. I mean, we did ask the question at the Paramount Show,

Showroom opening roll, and they were quite coy when they on the release dates of the

old drive. All the refresh for the matter. We'll see. And numbers? We haven't been asking.

We did ask. I have updated numbers. I can tell you.

Tell us, Riz. So our shipping data came in and it shows that just over 2000 X-Pen G6s have been

shipped or shipped into Australia as of the end of September. Now, do what you

may with those numbers, but it is more official than what they're giving us.

2000. So that's 2000 in the country, not soldier, right?

Yeah. 2000 in the country. Majority of them are of course sold, but

and 500 odd came in in September. Okay. So if the people waiting for them, yeah,

if the people waiting for them, then there wouldn't be too far, but it's far from the

thousand that they said they'll be bringing every month in a press release we got in about July

from memory. So 2000 in total so far. And obviously, there's this update,

but there's so much competition in this space now. Like, you know, it's like,

SUV is just C-line seven killing it.

We have the, obviously the model wide doing reasonable numbers in September. We'll see

if that sort of slows down a little bit in the beginning of the quarter. So we'll see

what October shows. But yeah, G6 still a very, very good car. The new ones even better,

of course. I was going to say earlier on the week, I forgot where I saw it, but X-Ping now have

an inventory link on their website. So how Tesla tradition has the inventory where you could

actually buy cars that are already ready to go. X-Ping now have it as well. And they've

actually got stock numbers. So like I'm scrolling through now, there's in stock one number,

hashtag number 1347133. So I do wonder how that naming convention works. But yeah,

you could jump on there. I'll put the link in the chat, but it's basically the same as what

Tesla has now sort of like a online shop jump on by a car pick it up.

Nice. It's already in the country. Go for it. Yeah. Now we've got

someone saying that's not a spoiler. It's the same as the front car, just the stickers falling off.

Maybe. Yeah. It does look a bit light, potentially. Yep.

Now, I don't know. Maybe I heard something on the rumor mill, but

there's a special edition from what I understand. This is unofficial, but

I believe there might be a special edition, something being showcased at the

Sydney EV show. Maybe 007 spec. I've only heard rumors, I'm not sure.

But yeah, if it is, if it happens to be one of those, what is it, 007 GT?

Then that could be a pretty cool thing to see in person, but not sure. Zika,

So someone mentioned the Mazda 6E. So here we go. So spotted this week in the Gold Coast,

apparently. I believe this is the Mazda 6E EV under all that camo.

If you squint, it kind of does look sedan-like. You might not be sharing it, Tom.

Oh, sorry. I'm sorry. My bad. Let's pop this on. Thank you very much. There you go.

That's Mazda 6E right there, Jens. And everyone else. There it is there.

It's nice. I don't know, Tom and Roland, if you saw the press release that came out from Mazda,

I give them credit. They did say, hey, it's in partnership with Chongqing Chang'an Automobile

company, which obviously makes the DPAL as well. But then the quote from the Mazda's Managing Director

is like, this is the something along the lines of next iteration of the Kodo design or something

like that. And I'm like, cool. From the outside, it might be from the inside. It's, I don't know,

what's Chinese for Kodo, Dynasty, or sorry, that's BYD design. It's...

Isn't Kodo a Japanese thing?

It is a Japanese thing, but we need a sign or equivalent of that on the inside because it's

got a big screen. It's got pretty much everything you'd expect in a Chang'an.

Look, I don't mind that. I quite like the DPAL platform actually. So it's okay. If it's got

DPAL underpinnings, as people are saying in the chat, Darryl saying to Sedan,

based on the DPAL L07. So it is Sedan shaped. That's cool. Another Sedan is a good thing.

Then I think that's good. Sure, Sino Japanese collaboration. I thought I'd never see the day,

but here we are. Mazda 6E, bring it, I say. I think this will help because people won't

be like us. They won't go, okay, it's a DPAL. It's a Chang'an. They'll just go Mazda. It's

a Mazda. I think I'll buy a Mazda because I know the brand. I think it's quite good.

The real question is, will there sell a Sedan in the sense that the Sedan market,

apart from Model 3, and maybe the BYD seal, has sort of been a bit hard hit with the onslaught of SUVs.

Yeah. I mean, what do you guys think? Did you like the Mazda 6 back in the day?

Back in the day? Yeah, me too. I quite like that car.

Yeah. I do hope because I remember seeing overseas pictures on that exact same car.

I had the digital side mirrors. I honestly hope we don't get that here.

Yeah. At least an option, right? No. At least an option, correct. Yeah,

if they're going to do it, put it as an option. Don't just force it on people.

No. From what I hear, it's quite an expensive fix. If something happens to it,

that's not what you want. I think our friend Shilandra might have something to say

in the comments as an ex Mazda owner. There we go. As a former Mazda 6G,

J series Coda design owner. This is blessed for me. How dare they? Zoom, Zoom. Zoom, Zoom.

We owned a Mazda 3. That was actually our first car joint I had as we're going out.

Yeah, and as John said, too many big cars already. We should have

had released a Mazda 3e. Maybe that's in the pipeline. A smaller Sedan, right?

That'd be cool. There is an SUV version that is being worked on. I'll have to check it out,

or we'll have to check it out next time we're in China. But there is a kind of what it's called.

There's a like a CX-30 sized SUV equivalent as well. So maybe this is the one of many

EVs to come from Mazda. I hope so. Yeah, I thought they were doing an SUV and a Sedan.

And then it was pretty much at the same time last year when they announced the news.

And then this one was the one that got chosen here. I would have thought the SUV, but anyways.

Yeah, Jean saying Mazda buys only by CXs now. This won't sell at all. We'll see.

And Darrell saying they should have done an SUV to stay safe. Yeah, it's a safe option.

Like as a reviewer, like I'm happy to see this, but they want to sell cars. Yeah, maybe.

The thing is that should, you know, do we look at it as a compliance vehicle because

they'll still want to sell the CX-5 and other things that this is just the NVES tick in

the box. From memory, I think the press release said if they'll arrive on mid 2026, that's a long

way away. It is. Yeah, what do we know? Yeah, October. So what, nine months away potentially.

Check this out. Ant-Man's is saying FYI, I saw a 007 all-wheel drive, presumably the GT.

Oh my goodness. At the Zika Sydney Alexandra showroom last Saturday. We're picking up my

7X. Sorry, I didn't take a photo. We need the photo. Could be the yellow 007, I think it's there,

because I know the FR was in the 001. Oh, yes. That's true. That's not quite the

GT. That's just 007 and 001. Can you write it and that's running around? Well, Ant-Man's,

how is your 7X? Oh, is that Riz? I said, Ant-Man's, how is your 7X?

Oh, yeah. How is it, Ant-Man's? Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

Yeah. There we go. And so if we're saying just for fun fact, from X-Pong inventory,

site the stock number is 1-949 in Victoria. That's a lot, a lot of stock. Is there a

Jamboree equivalent in Victoria Riz where we can put these cars? No, the showroom and it's

connected to Lorbeck and Port Melbourne. They can probably store maybe 150, 200 cars max. So

no, it's not that many down there.

Ant-Man's saying, yeah, it's awesome. Good. And the yellow one is the FR.

I think the yellow one is 007, isn't it? The FR is the 001.

Cool. Yeah, we had a CX-5, obviously, before the Model Y came along into our lives in the

Model 3. Good car, very reliable. Zoom, zoom. All right, so that's Mazda and Riz's article as well

in the Driven confirming, yes, Mazda's second EV for Australia. There it is there, the 6E

without the camo. Thanks, Riz. Cool. Well, how much range are we expecting? 78 kilowatt hours,

you're saying? 500Ks, I reckon. Yeah, that's good. Well, I have an LFP battery, I wonder,

or just NMC. Yeah, LFP, yeah, cool. Okay. Yeah, we mustn't forget the MX SUV that's now discontinued,

of course. Nearly 18 months since they last sold that car. 1.5 tonnes, break time capacity.

Look, not a bad looking car, honestly. Not a bad looking car. Yep.

All right. Keep your eyes open for any more sightings, guys, of the Mazda 6E. We'll try

and get some info as well on ludicrous foods, so stay tuned. Okay, pushing right along. So,

we talked about our good friend Jim spotting a car in Sydney. Speaking of Chongqing's

Chang'an brand, look at this. So, this was spotted in Sydney recently in Macquarie Park,

DPAL's SO5. You know the SO7, which is a rural drive, 89 kilowatt hour NMC battery,

this is a rural drive. I think it's about 70, 60, 70 kilowatt hour, so slightly smaller.

Also LFP, also rural drive. No, it is LFP, this one. So, NMC for the other one, this is LFP.

So, this could be quite interesting, guys.

There's some pics there for Jim. Yeah, this is a small car. There you go.

It's almost like hatch-like, isn't it? Not quite SUV-sized. At the back here.

Looks similar to that Mitsubishi ASX in the background, in terms of its size.

How dare you? Hey, Mitsubishi, you know, the new Mitsubishi ASX,

this car could possibly be priced the same as that, because that ASX now starts at something

like 39 grand plus on roads. So, this DPAL SO5 fully electric could be priced around there,

or maybe a little bit more, but we're getting Leap Mode B10 and other cars coming in that

under 40 grand price point now, which should be interesting to see how it competes with similar

new ICE models that are being launched. Yeah, 4.6 meters, I just looked up. So,

it's about the same size as the Geely EX5. Yeah, so small SUV. It doesn't look that big,

actually, in the picture, but 4.6 is still reasonably big. And we know the DPAL SO7

is selling from 49 drive away. So, you'd hope this would be under 45 to be competitive. So,

fingers crossed, there's some opening special there. And hopefully, some sort of media day

reason, Roland, would try to get our first drive in this country. That'd be good.

2.3 tons, okay, not bad. And I did get to drive this in China earlier this year

on their proving grounds in Chongqing, so that was quite a privilege and honor to do that,

so that was fun. And it does drive well. It's a good little zippy little thing,

so I think this will do well. Slightly bigger than the ATO 3, I think Richard was asking.

ATO 3 is about 4.4, I think, 4.5. Yep. Have DPAL fixed charging speed, that's a good point.

Leap Mode B10 is 160, whereas C10 had 80 or something. Okay, I'll have to look that up,

not sure. Riz's article says, charging specs, 150 kilowatts in Thailand, so that's not bad.

Not bad. AC is still 6.6, that's slightly disappointing. Hopefully, that'll be bumped up.

Yeah, 11's got to be, surely, it's got to be the minimum these days, I would have thought.

Yeah, Tony says, I like all these sub 40K SUVs. Yeah, that's right. This one,

hopefully, the ATO 3, B10 that's coming, MGS5. Yeah, there's a lot to choose from. EX5, yep,

absolutely. Yeah, have we reached Pirate's Party? That's a good point. Have we reached Pirate's

Party? Riz was talking about the ASX before. Some segments we have.

Yeah, I mean, certainly you would think twice now, right, buying an IS surely,

if you're just going to buy a city car. The challenge, though, is that even though we have cars

like mid-sized SUVs like the Leap Motor C10, which I think is a reasonable car compared to similar

ICE vehicles, the brand awareness is just not there and people still have an affinity

and a trust factor with those larger brands. So it's interesting that they can sort of ask

those relatively high prices compared to what their cars used to be and still get away with it,

but I think there will be a time where the switch will flick.

Yeah, that's right. And is it right for these legacy brands to charge a premium, right? The

guys, the Japanese brands have been around, the Korean brands, obviously the European brands,

does the legacy badge still hold, right? I've got a BMW at the moment as a press car.

Hey, look, it's a nice car, but obviously you're paying that premium for that badge.

Guys, what do you think? Is it still worth the 20-30% markup these days?

Some people's mindsets won't change. I've got comments that

they stick to a particular brand for many years and that's all they will drive.

Yeah, I had a ghost before the Spectre and it just sticks to it.

Yeah, you know what you're getting? The hand stitches that you get in the seats,

you're not getting that comfort anywhere else. But on a serious note, we look at what the Zika

7x offers in this market. European brands are going to ask twice that price.

So that's what we've got to sort of look at. Like an equivalent mid-sized SUV

from someone like Mercedes, for example. I don't think they're selling the GLEs

even after the massive price cuts. I think it's still over 100 grand.

And the car is not even half as good as the 7x and what it offers,

charging, quality of materials, build, tech, just the whole package. And if you think,

if that's the price point we're hitting at now, what's about to happen?

A really good example actually, I think last week Porsche announced their earnings

and there's major troubles at that brand now. Because what they've done over the years have

really, really increased the prices. Like a 911 now. I mean, I know we're talking ice cars,

but it's so expensive. And the biggest market in China, people are saying,

we're not going to lose half the value of a car in two years' time when we can buy something

that's Chinese like the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra or even the Max versions that cost a third

from the very beginning. It's not going to see that massive depreciation.

Brand loyalty is just in some markets, it's just not there anymore. And I wonder if we're

going to get there very soon. I guess in China, there is obviously another issue with

regards to plates, right? You can obviously buy an EV plate or get an EV plate straight from

the showroom. Obviously, there's a lottery with the blue plates, the ice plates. So obviously,

that's a separate issue. But I'm rolling, I agree. I think some people will just buy a Merc,

buy a Beamer, buy a Porsche, buy an Audi. Just because it's different, right? They want

that luxury, that what they want that is to stand out from everyone else. That probably won't

change. That's just society the way it is. So yeah, I mean, the smart ones amongst us

will obviously look at the specs and the inclusions and go, okay, maybe it's worth looking at the

newer brands. And to everyone else, yeah, it won't matter. It's just a status thing.

I think that's how these brands make their money on status or reputation.

Years of engineering, that's fine. It's got its place. Yeah, that's saying the Germans

will learn. Well, I don't know, will they? We'll see. And effective price parity,

Shalandra says with FBT tax rebate for this is probably, yep. Yeah, good point.

Tazzy saying love the seal. Yep, me too. I love the seal. Favorite EV doesn't work for what I need

of the car to be able to do, but love to see them driving past. Yeah, it's nice to see us

at hand. So refreshing change, isn't it? Just why I love the IM5 so much when we reviewed it

last week. Yeah, Aussies have been well, yes, some Aussies have been price sensitive,

I guess it depends, obviously. That's why Japanese cars are so popular, right? Toyota's

just everywhere. Satna DD today, Camry Hybrid. Yep. Yeah, looking forward to the cheap EV

hatches. Yeah, me too. Bring them on. That's missing the marker right now.

Coming soon, I'm sure, definitely. MG4, I don't know if that Julie,

Ji-Yong, Xing Yuan or whatever it is, if that's supposed to become making its way,

it's the best selling, best selling car in China, apparently, even out doing the Seagull.

That is a hot little ticket, honestly, a real drive, great size. Looks like a smart hashtag

three, but probably half the price. Bring it, bring it here, I see. The Xing Yuan.

I'll just quickly pop this up. Now, just switching gears, so to speak, just a little while. So,

RedEarth, this is actually made in Australia, I believe. Let me just read the press release

I got this week. So, this is a bi-directional charger. Here we go, I'll read this here. So,

Australia's first Australian-made vehicle-degraded charger. RedEarth has partnered with Ambibox

to locally manufacture its bi-directional chargers that allow EVs to act as batteries on

wheels, pre-orders for 11 kilowatt, three-phase RedEarth V2G charger starting in November. So,

pretty soon with an RRP of $9,990 XGST. Customers expected to be delivered February 2026. So,

just to give you an idea, Seag Energy's DC module is round about probably five or six

grand now with the recent discounted pricing. So, yeah, I guess 10 grand gents for a V2G is

asking a lot, but it is Australian-made, that's one thing. And it is AC, not DC as well. So,

what do you guys think? Is the price too stiff? Is it right?

10 grand. So, what?

AC, 11 kilowatts. I think it's, for me, I think it's one of those early adopter price.

Like, it's the first in the market. So, Australian-made, back in Australian company,

you'll be one of the first in Australia to have it done that got the right partnership

in place to know that the technology is going to work, but it is one of the firsts. So,

you will pay that premium.

Yeah, good point.

Yeah, I guess I'll put my hand up. I don't know enough about V2G or the technologies,

but hopefully I get to learn a little bit more this weekend because the founder, I think, and CEO,

Mark, is going to be on one of the V2G panel discussions on Friday afternoon at ICC.

So, hopefully I'll learn a little bit more. But yeah, for first, as you said,

role in first version of a product in Australian-made, possibly using, you know,

components and other things from other parts of the world. But I know they've been working

on it for a while. So, it would be really cool to see that they're making progress from our

product release point of view. And, you know, hopefully encourages the market to sort of see

what's possible within Australia. And, you know, hopefully we'll see this product evolve as well.

Yeah, I think, personally, it's quite steep, 10 grand. And I don't know if that involves,

includes installation either. So, you've probably got to add that on top. And it's only AC,

right? So, you can only pump out 11 kilowatts. You know, if you've got a DC V2G, like say the,

you know, EV DC charger module from SIG, SIG Energy is taking the market share at the moment.

They've got lots of batteries installed. So, it's just a simple matter of chucking another

module on top of your stack. It's a much easier sell. It's DC. It's half the price. I don't

know. I think 10 grand might be too steep. Is it worth the five grand premium for an

Australian-made product with, as Riz said, some components. I don't know if it's all

Australian-made, but yeah, I guess time will tell, right? Hopefully, this encourages, as you said,

Riz, more people to bring their products to market because that's what we need. We just need

more products to bring that price down to make it worth your while. Because, as some people

are saying, is, well, what's the ROI, right? It's, what's the return? It's going to take

a long time to recoup that cost. 50% too high. It says lightning as well.

Did the press release say it was AC? Because I was just on Red Earth Energy's website,

and it's an FAQ section for that same picture that you've got up on the screen to say

early 2026. And it says, the first FAQ is when will they be available to buy? And it says,

we expect the certified 11 kilowatt three-phase DC wide-directional charger to be available

installation. Okay, apologies if it is DC. Yeah, okay. Well, in that case, even if it is 11,

the SIG is either 12.5 or 25 three-phase. So again, it's a lot lower than what SIG is offering.

So, I mean, I'm not paid by SIG, don't worry, but I'm just saying, like, the numbers are

there, right? Okay, thanks. I'll have to look at the press release again, but that's good.

Good thing it's DC. I guess one quick point on that, then, if people currently do not have a home

battery, that is SIG energy, and there can be some level of government support, whether it's

part of trials or other things to bring the price down, you know, or if they sell plenty of

them, then the price may come down. That could help some other people, I guess, get a have a look at

the V2G technology. But yeah, if you've got existing home batteries, which seems to be what the

government is pushing with the new since I think from July when they've got the rebate on

home batteries. So that might be that might be an option for some people.

Yeah, good point. Good point. Yeah, not everyone has a SIG battery, of course.

So, yeah, this could be an option for others. So maybe they're playing to that as well,

but those who don't have SIG. I think that was poor powerwall owners.

Not poor, still good battery, still good. Yeah, okay, cool. Tony's saying you won't get

ROI and V2G, but look, it's not always about ROI, of course. It's also V2H. It's a nice backup to have

that kind of power for your home during winter when you want to blast your house with heating,

or even summer when it's stupidly hot as well. Yeah, Steve's saying get a battery with government

subsidy. Yeah, obviously, the subsidy is much better value now compared to buying the

sound right. So, yeah, let us know in the chat or the comments if you are interested in one

of these because I'd be curious to know, actually, how it goes, how they sell these.

batteries installed since July. That is crazy. That is insane. I think someone, I did the

maths on this. The subsidy has got enough legs to supply 250,000, I think, if everyone installs

a massive battery. So, it's been three months or four months and it's already killing it in that

space. I think I also read every nine days equivalent of the Hornsdale battery is being

installed in Australia. So, a lot of batteries are coming on the market, no surprise.

That's great. Gaffer saying, looking to get a home battery but still confuses to him to go with.

Yeah, lots of options out there. Yeah, well, look, I was, I popped into All Energy,

which is the big energy show today in Melbourne. It's overwhelming with the amount of stuff that's

there, but if you want to know, don't go to that show if you want to know what batteries

are right for you because everyone's selling you a battery. CATL were there with their big

batteries, BYDs there. You've got small home, residential, solar canopy, batteries, charges,

you name it, but it's just so amazing to see how much buzz was around the show.

So much interest in renewables and sort of clean energy and clean tech in that show just

keeps growing and growing. So, they had a proper EV infrastructure section, met a couple of, you

know, industry colleagues and others there as well. So, if you happen to be in Melbourne,

pop in, it's free to attend and just have a look. It's just mind blowing how much buzz is there.

And I think in two to three years' time, we're going to be seeing that in the EV space as well.

Just from a personal point of view, I would be very cautious about buying a battery that's not,

hasn't got the numbers behind it. I chose SIG because you know what, it's like power of

numbers, right? If something is wrong with the battery, with the car, you've got forums everywhere

to help push that to the OEM. It doesn't always work, but at least you've got that kind of safety

numbers. So, Tesla, SIG, some of the smaller guys, yeah, it's cheaper, but that's what concerns

me personally. I've heard good things about SunGrow as well. They seem to be doing commercial

stuff as well as residential batteries. But yeah, companies that you know are proven,

BYD possibly, do your research. Yeah, yeah, there's a lot out there.

All right, let's, speaking of BYD, let's do this story here. So, nope, that's not that. This is

what I'm talking about. So, there's been a few issues with the C-Line 7 update. Anybody in

the chat here? I'm a bit out of the loop because I've sold my seal, but anybody with a C-Line 7 that's

having issues with the recent OTA. So, obviously we've got this car being towed away, getting

bricked with an update. So, it can happen. I think Tesla had those issues too in the early days

with OTAs, bricking cars. It's rare, but it's obviously frustrating if your car's the one

getting towed away with an update, bricking it. Yeah, just let us know in the comments in

the chat if that happens, if that happened to anyone having issues. And speaking of BYD,

this is Riz's article. I know Riz, you love your little K car. 20 kilowatt battery,

seriously, that's half my C-energy battery. What is going on here?

That's what I'm saying. You're not doing any V2H or V2G with this one. You can't do V2L,

hopefully, when it happens, but only for, I don't know, quickly boiling the kettle

for a cup of tea. Now, this car, I'm just so excited for it. We have a name. Oh, we have a

name. It's called the BYD Racco. What? Racco. Now, Racco, or I'm not even pronouncing it right,

but maybe it's Racco in Japanese is a sea otter. So BYD sea otter is what this thing is. How cool is

that name? So they're doubling down on the marine theme or the ocean theme. Yeah, but going with the

market, where's our marine theme? What's an atto? It's a unit of time. That's right. I mean,

if it was something like, I don't know, a molecule in seawater or something,

I can understand. But anyway, BYD Racco, it has been unveiled. And it is a cool looking thing

expected to start in Japan with sales based on their K-car sort of guidelines,

expected to go on sale in summer 2026, which Japan time would probably be quarter two,

quarter three next year. I mean, Japan is the right market for this car, right? They love

the little K cars. What's the Nissan one? Nissan Sakura. Sakura. That's it. That's it.

Cherry Blossom. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, 100 kilowatts, are you sure? For DC's charging

speed for this battery? Hey, reports in China, they just pull any number out and I go with it,

which is that's what they're saying right now, 100 kilowatts. But as I've clearly put out there,

the atto one with 30 kilowatt battery pack has a peak charging speed of 65 kilowatts.

So even I'm a bit skeptical of what this little seawater can do. But we have hope. BYD might

be working on some really insane low capacity, high charging battery that we don't know about yet.

God's lightning bolt. 100 kilowatts. Seriously, 100 kilowatts. I'm a bit skeptical about that one too.

That's quite obvious. 100 kilowatts per 20 kilowatt. The pictures have been unveiled now of that car,

so you can find them online. But I think that's the car. Yeah, you need another article.

I think that's the car that we need here. The even smaller because sliding doors, K-Class,

like you will not have any issues in a shopping center. You won't have any issues in the bike

lane, Roland. You'll be fine. That's true. That's true. Yes. Okay. So six hours ago,

these photos were launched. Okay. So yep, very Japanese, very K-Car like another Sino-Japanese

slant there, Gents. Good to see China. Trying to make friends with Japan. That's good.

Would you seriously consider this as a second car in inner city Sydney or Melbourne seriously?

This global survey is saying it looks like a penguin. It does actually. Yeah, a penguin will work too.

How would it compare to a Kia Picanto or a Fiat 500?

I think it's the same length. What's the big Picanto? Picanto might be a 3.8.

All right, so we've got new videos of the Zika 7x with their golden brick batteries.

630 kilowatts. That's insane. 900 volt architecture. That's just stupid. 630 kilowatts.

I tested the IM5 today at the 400 kilowatt charger in Sydney, the Ampo Chargers. So

stay tuned for that video. I won't tell you how fast I got, but I was very impressed.

I've never seen anything that quick, but 630. Seriously, that's stupid, right? What are they

talking? 10 minutes or quicker? Under 10 minutes. Holy cow.

That's not even time for number one, honestly.

That's nine minutes. We got nine minutes 37, adding 500Ks of range. That's cool.

So the question is, as always, Gents, do we wait for this card? Do we snap up the 7x

that we've got already on order? What do we do? China time is upon us again.

Yeah. I always say the current generation we have here is the best you can buy today.

And I think we touched on it last live stream as well, that

this is, at the moment, China only product. We could be mating 18 months to two years

for something like this. Could be sooner, but history says that usually we've had a little

bit longer. Yeah. That's insane. I won't show the whole vid, but I might just scroll a little

bit here to see if I could just make it bigger. Here we go. Yep.

And I think people have to remember, to that point, it's like 600 something kilowatts.

We've only recently just had those 400 kilowatt ones installed. Like, even if you could buy

this car, yes, there's other differences, but obviously this is one big thing about

the latest version. We're going to charge it, even if they did bring it here.

Yep. Great point. So at 80%, it was pulling 330 kilowatts.

That's crazy. That's crazy. I mean, today, my test, I was seeing 200 kilowatts plus,

pretty much for most of the charge, right? You wouldn't get those speeds even with Tesla

for most of the charge curve. So as you said, like, we need these charges anyway

on the highway. We don't have them yet. So it was great to see that, but

it's a one-off, right? So we need Zika, we need BYD, we need Xperia to bring their charges here.

That's what they've got to do. Is it too quick though? Is it too quick for our sort of lifestyle

where we're pulling up somewhere and yeah, I mean, and if we're pulling that sort of power,

we'll have to pay for it. Would you pay $2 a kilowatt hour? Do you know what I mean?

It's the... So I went on a road trip recently down south and two adults, two kids,

my kids are both under 10. And there is no way that everyone gone to just a quick bathroom

break as a stop, 10 minutes, impossible. I'll be paying idle fees for sure,

if it was charging that quick. Yep. Yep. So like today, the test,

the 400 kilowatt charge is a fair walk from the service station. Like I'd say probably

three minute walk maybe at a slow pace. So it's already a six minute trip there and back.

By the time you order some food, by the time you go number one, it's... Yeah, you're done.

You got to walk back. So you got to move your car, right? And any quicker 10 minutes,

you probably have to stay with the car, I'd say. You probably can't go too far.

Otherwise, as Roland said, idle fees will start to accumulate. So yeah, the question is longer range

or quicker charging speed? There you go. Take your pick. And especially for young kids,

as Roland has. It's a slow stop. It's not a quick stop. Well said. Anyway, still I think it's

good to have this option for uptake. People want to charge quick, they're in a hurry,

right? You see the drivers on the road, they want to go. So for those who want to go,

then we need this kind of stuff. So happy to see it. Okay, that's Zika. And what else am I talking

about? Here we go. We've moved on to Tesla now. So Tesla charging hardware in the UK available

and Germany as well available for... Now, I'm confused by this. So if you buy the hardware

from Tesla, will they manage the charging for you? Is that what this is saying?

I think what it's saying is that let's say you've got Tom's Pies along the highway.

And Tom's Pies wants to install charging hardware. Instead of picking Ken Power,

something else, pick Tesla V4 Superchargers and you pay for the hardware. I guess Tesla will

remotely manage the uptime and all of those other things like Tesla usually does because

I've never really seen anyone else at a Supercharger, aside from Tesla unless it needs

repairs. So maybe it's that sort of approach. You buy the hardware, you get it installed.

The hardware might be cheaper than what else is out there purely because of the scale of Tesla

and they want hosts to install their charges. And then Tesla will manage the rest of it,

which is give you access to the app and all of those other things. So yeah, it's a good thing.

We'll see if anyone actually picks this up in Australia.

So you'll say Tesla will still manage it. So you still have to download the Tesla app

and use it by the Tesla app? My understanding is that's the way it would be.

But if you're a big enough company where you have your own app,

I think that I'm not sure if in the UK the EG Group has their own app or not.

I think they do because they brand them differently than you could use a different app as well.

Interesting. Could a brand like ChargeFox buy these and install them or

get someone to install them on the network and use the ChargeFox white label app?

Lewis is saying I should get the Tesla Supercharger skin for my SIG battery.

That's quite fun actually. Carioca unit. Yeah, I'll be singing definitely.

If I had that, it's not a bad idea. Yeah, and Charles is saying it even shows up

as a Supercharger in the Tesla cars. That'd be handy. It does auto-nav,

pre-conditioning. That would be quite good actually.

So maybe you might see that in Australia at a charger location very soon.

So what if all of those companies just decided to buy Tesla's one because of the fantastic uptime,

then they're all integrating into the network just like that?

Although having said that, if you're an 800 VL car, you might struggle to get

that kind of speed, right? You'd be a bit upset.

It'd be like 80 kilowatts. Oh man, seriously. It's not golden brick. It's like, I don't know,

bronze brick. No, it's not the same.

I wonder if it could use it for private use but pretend it's a business.

Wow, if you want to pay for it. I mean, I don't see why not.

Yeah, it's the speed that concerns me. That's all if you're a non-Tesla.

really, you might want to take us through this. This was during the earnings call,

wasn't it, with Tesla saying that Tesla has not given up on hardware 3 owners?

That's right. So hardware 3 Lite is coming according to Tesla. They have not given up

on that situation. I just don't know what this news means for Australia because we have not

had any hardware 3 information so far. But I guess they're working on something like that.

But then a lot of the, a lot of the call they were talking about sort of hardware 5 or AI5

stuff that's coming out next year. So I don't know. The gap just keeps getting bigger and

bigger. So currently, I mean, today I was in traffic for an hour and a half trying to get

to the city. And I thought it would be a much better use of time if I didn't have FSD.

So yeah, hardware 3 Lite or hardware 3 vehicles may get something, but they're talking about version

14. I think we're still on version 12 here. Are you saying Riz, you'd have better use of your time

if you had FSD in traffic? Yeah, if I had FSD, it's just free in a lot of cases in traffic. If it

does all your acceleration and braking, let people then do all the stuff that we know it's

capable of doing or it can do. We've tested it on strain rows. It's not perfect, but it will get better.

But yeah, I'd pay for a subscription straight away if it could do it. But the problem, of course,

is older cars don't have it. And then it's like, should I wait for AI5 cars to upgrade

or to do something different? That's the thing. It just keeps getting better.

The thing is, would I be less stressed in traffic? I mean, I didn't find myself less

stressed with my test. And also, I can't use my phone. I can't read a book. I can't take a nap.

So I don't know. I'd still be having to supervise this thing, right? That's the paradox.

Yeah, until it's fully autonomous, which would be great, of course. I don't know.

That day may or may not come. But what may come is Nash, a good friend, Tesla in the gong.

2.2 liter diesel in Australia. It's dying from $42,500. Love to see an EV with that price

for his enrolling. Yeah, I'd be surprised if it's under 60. Okay, keeping on that one.

There's only one major all-electric Yut, ET60 of course, $92,900, still quite pricey.

Yeah, I forgot all about this E-terron. We heard about this at the start of the year and

still nothing. We saw it October last year at Mobility Live in Melbourne and yeah,

nothing since. Nothing since, that's right. Okay, we'll keep it on that one and

this is Renault, Renault's Scenic E-Tec. Scenic E-Tec, not the Bugone E-Tec. Confirmed from Australia.
