A Tyro Curry, a threatening newspaper, and a biscuit to round out the day.
It feels like I've been a big old crash.
Everyone was fine.
And the guy was like, mate, I can't do your alignment.
I was like, why is that?
I can't sort that out.
Then he looked around and went, I look fine.
Now, you won't do a live bid on the podcast.
You know what?
Here we go, Ben.
Now, here we go, Ben.
Chuck a little bit.
Chuck a little bit.
Hello, and welcome back to the Cars Rule Everything Around Me podcast, number 51.
Well, we're getting on for that 100 now.
That's the next target.
With myself, Will, Edwin, to the right of me, and then Benjamin, to the camera, who's very
kindly come back again for a second week running after his holiday.
You might become a regular after this.
Hopefully not.
At the beginning of every one of these podcasts, we ask if Cars Rule or Ruin Everything Around
Us, Edwin.
What is it?
It's a ruin.
It's a ruin.
Because I haven't bought anything.
On the weekend, that's what's ruined.
On the weekend, I decided, right, I want to get, I need to get going on some cars and
get some sold.
So I said, what I'm going to do, coming on my weekend here to the unit, I'm going to quickly
fix my driver's side window regulator on the E36, and then I'm going to get to work
on the EVO.
Two days of working on an E36, well, both E36 window regulators later, no progress
on the EVO other than bleeding the brakes, and I hate everything.
So I had to tape the window up because the previous owner had been in there.
I don't know.
Maybe just put like a blender in the window or something.
Just absolutely mashed it all up.
So I fought that for a few days, had to wait on parts.
So I drove the Mark 4 Golf that we bought at one point, and then I took the RS6 home, which
is, I've just, I'm on, I'm testing everything out.
On press cars.
I'm on press cars, which we might have some information on.
We may.
But yeah, so I've been annoyed by that, but the E36 is back now.
Kyle kind of came over today while I didn't have any time, get a look at it, got
it going through the runner.
I think that's it.
I can't think that there's anything else.
I came in on Sunday and I saw the E36 still here and I sort of went, oh, yeah.
And it wasn't great.
I actually had to, Will's raider was here on Saturday and said, can I, can I take
your range over home actually?
And then I realized the golf was drivable.
So it's a room for that.
Yeah, no news on the 550 yet.
Jeremy's playing hot and cold with me again.
I'm waiting on him.
I mean, when everyone finds out it's Jeremy Clarkson there, I'm going to be
stunned. Of course he would be, you know, why wouldn't he be secretive?
I'll answer the phone.
Yeah. Why are you in France, mate?
I'll go with the rule.
Yes.
I think it'll be a rule for a little while.
Not much, not much can bring it down for me.
For those without eyes, I bet you said it's on the edge of the screen so
not many people can see it anyway.
You have a pipe next to you.
I got a set of pipes next to me.
And also an exhaust.
There's a pipe behind the camera.
I have got a set of pipes, which I ordered from a place called Top Speed.
It's like an X pipe for the Glado.
So it's the, it should give me the exact amount of noise I'm looking for.
But the how?
Not the noise it currently makes, which is currently, it's quite good.
It's just noise.
It's like, it's construction site going wrong, where, you know,
something, it's just noise exceeding a sound limit.
It's sort of what I imagine a fly would feel being inside a trombone.
We had, we had the Febby guys come over last Friday, Ben and Alex.
And they were like, yeah, do you guys want to go out in one of the cars?
And we were trying to explain to them how loud the Glado was.
And they were like, yeah, yeah, ha, ha.
And then we took them out.
And afterwards I said, was, did I explain it right?
They went, yeah, no, it was louder.
It's just, it's ridiculous.
It is officially loudest car I've ever experienced.
Can you hold, just for the viewers, can you just hold that up for
people who are watching?
Ben, I'd like to describe it for the people not watching.
What does it look like?
OK, imagine it looks a bit like the, actually, Edwin's wearing a
Jamiroquai jumper, a bit like his head of Logan.
It does, it does kind of.
Imagine an X in the middle and then, and then the X, the top of the X,
the two, two bits curve around and come down like a down would line.
I think it looks like a, I think it looks like an exotic metal insect.
Or perhaps in the one that's been stamped on.
Yeah, exactly. Squashed, like a father long legs that has been squashed.
Imagine the future when we have robot like bulls and cows
and you go trovey hunting and you have it on your wall.
Why would you have robot bulls and cows?
What would you gain from them?
Because we mainly grow cows, as it were, be pretty sick and high.
OK, you wouldn't want to say a robot cow.
Just decorative cows, is it?
Yeah, sure, I guess.
That'd be cool, wouldn't they?
Decorative, like everlasting long life.
Imagine polishing your cow.
Will's the salesman.
Imagine everlasting cows.
God, how have we been able to derail it one minute in 30 minutes?
No, I think I think I don't know why you tell a cat, but it'd be cool.
I know what I have one reason to ruin.
Here we go, sportsman.
I did bid on a new daily and lost.
That was interesting.
It was it's silly.
Yeah, it was a focus RS sale and it was green, which if you don't know
the green of a focus RS, it's green.
Now, the reserve was exceedingly cheap.
You went below the exceedingly cheap.
I saw I was three grand under reserve.
Yeah.
And then it sold for five grand more than reserve.
So I think that the world balanced itself out in the end.
So I don't think it was going to happen, but worth a pump.
I was willing to sell a render of that, but very, very upset.
You can't have a glado and focus RS in one week.
I said to him, obviously not the ultimate green focus RS, a yellow Lamborghini
and then a red Cleo trophy.
You got the full traffic like I'm bringing the color to everyone would hate you.
Imagine your driveway.
Yeah, yeah, the least liked human just simply can't leave your house inconspicuously.
No, Benjamin.
Hi, what is it for me?
It's a rule because my Cleo is back.
He is living and tell us about it.
Is it is it does it drive how you wish it would?
No, I think he's alignment, but it will.
OK, engine wise.
But no more over heating.
No, the heating new thermostat.
It was just a firm stat.
I don't know.
OK, he believes it's a firm stat.
He said that we had it and never overheated once.
Great.
So that's always worrying.
But he had an issue where also the inside would get hot.
That is with the others inside it is inside the heater matrix.
There's like an issue that they have that's common.
I thought was that which was an L because it's annoying.
Turns out it's just a little the climate control thing.
So we literally just unscrew that and plug that back in.
What you're saying is you could have brought it to food and fuel.
No, absolutely not.
OK, and it didn't need the thermostat though.
So it's OK.
So that's back and now it needs alignment.
Didn't you have a funny story about the alignment?
Yeah.
So you can tell it's funny.
Well, was it? Yeah.
OK, well, I went.
I booked an alignment for like my first thing on Saturday morning
from a really reputable alignment shop, right?
Like a specialist.
But yeah, I feel like road.
I just needed to get because it was set up fairly recently.
I probably got like a French name, doesn't it?
It's like a French my sport name is like quick feet or something.
Who knows, man?
Who knows?
I went down there just to get the toe in toe out sorted.
And actually it was a check to be fair.
It was to check whether it was how far out it was well.
And then you go to a specialist after that once you've got it.
I actually would do that.
But anyway, the double payment, the classic.
No, I don't know.
I just wanted to quickly get it done
because I wanted to drive it because I was excited.
So because I drove it back on Friday night from the place
that had it would have it being fixed.
And I was I said, I'm going to sell it.
And I drove and I said, this thing's really good.
Anyway, I'm still going to sell it.
That's besides point went down to this unnamed place.
And is it like a crossroads?
Is it like emotionally or just a little bit?
Well, it became that way.
And it was just chaos.
There's cars pulling into other lanes and stuff.
What's going on?
Turns out I've been a big old crash.
OK, everyone was fine.
But there was two cars that were very clearly written off.
Two people there that were quite shaken up, quite upset.
I was like, this is crazy.
I'm just driving into this area, parked my car up at this place,
went in and the guy was like, mate, I can't do your alignment.
I was like, why is that?
I can't sort that out.
I was the crash.
Yeah, I'm an uncle insurance adjuster.
I don't know what they were going to do.
I don't know whether I don't know
whether they were they were helping the people.
Everyone looked fine, but I couldn't work out what he meant.
But for a minute, I just looked around.
I went, they look fine.
No, I wasn't.
I wasn't going to argue.
I was cool. I'll leave.
But I don't know if he was going to rebuild the car
in the middle of the road.
He walked over to a completely master.
I went, that's like two degrees of toe out, mate.
You don't want that.
We've checked it.
You know what did that?
Half a degree on the back spun out straight away.
I don't make a lot of it because it was obviously a crash.
But no one did though.
I don't know the details.
It looked like it looked like a somewhat, you know,
it's a right off.
Am I allowed to tell the fact that you told me on the phone?
You said the quite distraught young woman
that was crying about her car that was crashed
had sat in front of the door of the unnamed organization
and you had to step over her.
Well, it wasn't, she wasn't in front of the door
like where I had to step over her,
but it was the point where I sort of had to,
I pulled up on my Clio, which isn't that loud,
but you know, in that situation, you're going to look at it.
Did you get a bang down the shift?
Healing toe passed the crash.
I pulled up kind of somewhat looking like a bit of a knob
and I was like, and I got out of the car kind of confused.
And then yeah, they were like, oh, by the door.
So I had to sort of like squeeze past them
and just scoot shot in to get my alignment done.
And then I had to scoot back out and leave.
But yeah, so they did get done.
But apart from that, I just drove anyway.
So this week, I just didn't do it.
I just refused.
No, he said it would be like an hour or two
before we could do it.
And I was like, oh, time is mad.
So next week, the Clio is back.
We're driving it.
It's going to be good.
I've already driven it.
But as in what, once it's aligned,
you're going to, you're going to report back.
Oh, it should be like, it should be back
to how it was before the track day in June.
Okay.
So wait, it only took three months but we're back.
I should read better because it's had the engine sort of now.
So then it's for sale.
And then that's, yeah, that's my rule.
All right.
So that's two rules and a rule in a classic.
You know, a cream, a cream tail as old as time.
I like that.
I've just forgotten what I was going to say.
So let's just carry on to the anecdotes and uses.
I love that.
No, I was, that's what I was going to say
is that you are doing the classic.
You spent all the money on it and then selling it.
Yep.
Absolutely.
I might lose my A-ground that.
Could have sworn we know someone that has done that.
Wouldn't have, wouldn't have bloody thought so.
Also, I have worked it out over the weekend.
I have a spreadsheet and I am losing money on that.
Oh yeah.
So.
How's that possible?
We gave you so much free stuff.
Because I...
But not so, not that much though.
No, it's not A-ground.
Tough.
That's, you know, Ben loves to twist the knife.
Yeah.
He's just laughing.
You've got a Lamborghini now.
Between, between Lamborghini,
I can be, I can bully you as much as I like.
All right, rich boy.
You're broke.
Okay, first on the list is completely out of date
and everyone's going to know about it.
Forza 6.
Pay is confirmed to Japan.
To celebrate, we've got Forza Horizon 1 on the screen,
which I feel like we may have already had gameplay off.
But yes, we have got, there is a teaser of Forza Horizon 6,
quite cool.
If you, if you aren't aware, if you're under a rock,
or you're just not allowed into gaming,
Horizon is a Forza franchise, a gaming franchise
where you get put out into the open world.
You can go do what you want.
You street race, you race on like mini tracks type things.
And there's a good car list usually.
And everyone has always been asking,
when's, when's Japan coming?
And they go, it's soon.
And then they go, we're in Qatar.
And they just pull up with the most random, like Mexico.
I was never expecting Mexico.
I wasn't expecting England.
I'm watching the trade of England, they're going,
What? Why is it England?
But alas, we're finally in Japan.
So is it next year?
It's 26 years?
Well, they said early next year,
they're going to give like, I guess, gameplay.
Because it wasn't a trailer.
It was basically the announcement of where it is.
But because basically it got leaked,
it got leaked that it was going to be in Japan.
So I think they kind of scrambled something together.
But they have said that,
oh no, I haven't forgotten what I'm going to say.
Sorry, they've, one of the people high up has said
that they obviously can't give details,
but it is the biggest map yet.
And the city, I assume Tokyo will be very big.
So I do think the one thing that Forze is missing
is the map is kind of average.
It's an evolution of the same map each time.
Yeah, that's the big difference.
I think from like one and two,
one and two were very different.
And then three was different,
but three, four and five are all versions of the same map.
You see, that's all, I've only played three, four and five.
So to me, it's like, they're very, very similar.
Yeah.
But the maps aren't very big either.
Sorry, the cities aren't.
They've never traditionally been that big.
You can fly through the city in 15 seconds.
So it'd be cool if there is a bigger city.
Am I correct in saying that's Mount Fuji?
In the, what's called, the teaser of it,
yeah, it would be if it is akin to Mount Fuji.
If they're going to include a racetrack.
I've always thought that would be a little bit like,
I think the crew did that.
Yes, they had Laguna Seca in there.
Yeah, well, you could, that's just cool.
Yeah, because obviously it's the whole thing is
it's free Roman, it's street racing, blah, blah, blah.
But if you could then go,
right, I'm going to an actual track.
Yeah, like an actual track.
If they can have like an official track for Jimmy Kaido
and then like Sokuba.
Yeah.
Perfect.
That's literally perfect.
I still think the crew as a concept for a racing game is sick.
It's great.
It just, I still believe it was never executed well enough.
You need to at least have the handling of Forza.
I think, I've never said this on the podcast before,
need for speed mods for your car, Forza physics and driving
and that sort of thing.
And then the crew map.
I'm there.
Forza is not great.
The handling is not great.
It's not simulation.
But it's better than fun.
It's not break to drift.
Yeah, exactly.
There's a lot of games like this are normally Arcadia's as hell.
To be fair, the mods are not bad on Forza.
They're not on some cars.
Yeah, but they just, it needs more creativity.
I still stand by the crew in Europe would be great.
Because it's a similar size area and you could have,
you could have, you know, you could have the Stelvio Pass,
you could have a mountainous,
you could have your friends.
Thank gosh.
It's a lot of Monaco.
I don't really know what I even want from Forza 6 in terms of,
every now and then pull up Forza Horizon 5.
But I have, everything was given to me in that game.
So I am nowhere in terms of like the story, I guess,
like the actual leveling up.
I didn't need to because I have millions and I have every car.
The only thing I do now see,
there's lots of cars I really want.
But you have to do all the special stuff.
There's too much to do to get that car.
I recently bought Horizon,
and don't worry, this whole podcast won't be about gaming.
I know a lot of you don't like gaming stuff.
But I bought the new Horizon and I was playing it and I was overwhelmed.
I know I'm getting old, but I still play enough games regularly
to be pretty on it with stuff.
And I was, I was like, I've got no clue what's going on.
What are these cards doing?
And it's also because I skip through everything,
everything that tries to teach me something.
But there's a card, I have to flip a card, then I get a card,
then I can go to a place and I can only go within that place.
Then I can do a race and that race will give me a card
that gives me a spin of a wheel that lets me, what are we doing?
It's explaining a bullshit card game.
Right, we're going to play a Horizon, the card game.
I'm going to give you five cards and use one of those cards.
One of them's a joker.
If you get a joker, you have to run around.
If you joker, you quit the game.
This is relevant to the listeners because Edwin
has famously to us of a camera set many times
that the one thing that makes some angriest in the world
is having a card game explained to him.
What did you say that you actually want to start punching people?
I'll kill a man if they try and explain.
It just annoys me so much.
And then ask the snap keeper.
Yeah, if a card game doesn't involve a simple explanation of,
this card does this, if there's some sort of level where it's like,
but once you have six cards, you may no longer speak to the minister.
Shut up, shut up, play the game.
There was a time, Edwin, then there was an office conversation,
asked me to explain the game, Go Fish,
which is fairly simple.
And I was fearful the whole time of him just shouting at me.
But so to get back to this, Horizon One,
which is playing behind us, it's the least complex game.
It's turn up, have a shit car, work, do a load of races,
buy a little bit better of a car, carry on, and what such.
I bought it, finish it.
I bought 360 recently, mainly because...
Ferrari 360 and the Gladec.
Yeah, nice.
And the RS.
And the RS.
Well, have you spent some money recently?
I'm just throwing the cash around apparently.
No, this was 49 pounds this 360.
I bought an Xbox 360 Elite because I was like,
I want to play Test Drive Unlimited again.
Because there's all the manner of good things in there.
But mainly Galar, though.
And also Mercy Logo.
One of the worst Mercy Logo models I've ever seen.
It really does look bad.
It's too long.
It's appalling.
It's just really bad.
But I also got, because it actually came with the Xbox,
it was forza 4, so I think we've spoken about a few times.
But I thought, because Test Drive I loaded up and I was like,
okay, it still looks okay, but I'm not sure I could play it for that long.
It's a bit of nostalgia.
I loaded up forza 4.
I think that is peak car game.
It holds up.
It always holds up.
Graphics are still good.
All the sounds are really good.
The physics are really good.
The car list is unbelievable.
Yep.
And it's just perfectly playable today.
And also, I went because obviously I don't have an account and stuff.
So I had to start a new one.
First cars you start with.
It's like a Peugeot 107.
Yeah.
Ford KA.
An Igo.
An Igo.
Like real crap.
Yeah.
Real crap.
And you can go and do like free play and drive all the stuff you want.
Exactly.
But you start from the bottom.
And if you go like in career, work, go ahead and work.
Yeah.
And I remember that getting abuse at the time for being like,
this is way too easy.
You just get to have a go in a car like 20 minutes in,
you get to go in a Ferrari.
Try now.
The next thing you drive is a McLaren.
And ridiculous.
Can I say a starter car?
Would you like the P1 or the?
On January 9, Greenland 2 is making an impact across the globe.
Hang on.
Audiences rave.
It's deeply emotional and better than the first.
How are you beginning first?
Well, you'll be holding your breath from start to finish.
Oh my god.
Grab onto something.
Greenland 2, migration.
Rated PG-13.
Game over, game over.
And Doug.
Here we have the Limu Imu in its natural habitat,
helping people customize their car insurance
and save hundreds with Liberty Mutual.
Fascinating.
It's accompanied by his natural ally, Doug.
Limu, is that guy with the binoculars watching us?
Cut the camera.
They see us.

Hi, this is something controversial about Forza.
Here we go.
I actually, I prefer to not have seasons.
I prefer to have areas of the map that are like that.
So for example, Japan.
Now I don't know much about Japan,
but as far as I'm aware,
the very north of Japan is actually very cold all the time.
Then you're at Tokyo in the middle.
And then the south is very beachy.
There's islands and stuff.
But if you had that as a map on Forza, that'd be great.
If you actually drive up into the snowy area
and then come down to city and then go to the hot area.
It made sense for England, like perfectly,
because we have very four, very four,
we have four very distinct seasons.
So you can play into it.
You can have snow in the winter, that sort of stuff.
Again, it gets long after a while.
They're like the Mexico thing.
That's why I liked it.
When I loaded up TDU and it just has a vibe.
Yeah, the vibe never changes.
Even this, this is Colorado in Horizon 1
and it has this sun-soaked, desert-y feeling orange backing
that's just perfect.
It always feels good.
Or let me choose season, because I want autumn.
But I think we talked about this before.
If I choose winter and I'm in the snow,
you're much quicker if you're in summer.
No, but I mean, if you're offline,
you can just choose season.
Because I don't want...
Winter's fun for a bit,
but then obviously it changes how you drive your car
and it's a bit annoying.
And then if it's raining, I can only skids.
I want to maybe want to do quick bits.
Me? I'd like to be raining please.
Give me the rain all the time.
We'll do some more newses.
Ben, you've put in a Rivian coming to the UK.
Yeah.
Which couldn't excite me.
No, but we saw a lot of these in the US
is why I put it in there.
I'm going to say.
For the listeners, these are electric SUVs,
but they're just SUVs that look kind of futuristic.
I really like how they look.
I actually do like how they look.
Here's a photo of a human on the back of it.
Okay.
But I think I like how it's almost like a cyberpunk
ranger of a classic,
is how I feel like it looks in my head a little bit.
But yeah, it doesn't interest me very much.
No, I mean, you can come to the UK apparently.
And we saw it in the US.
And the interiors are nice on those.
It's like Tesla, if it actually had some substance to it.
I have a feeling there will not be a very high uptake in them.
I don't think so.
Especially because it'll probably be twice as expensive
as any Chinese equivalent.
140 grand for something, you know, they're American.
Yes.
But nice to see a new car brand come to the country that isn't,
you know, just a Chinese SUV.
Because they have a pickup truck as well.
We're not getting those.
It's the R2, which is the smaller SUV.
So we're just getting the R2.
Okay.
Yeah.
Because the R1 is based on the pickup truck.
Is this the...
Which I actually think looks a bit weird.
The pickup truck is cool.
But anyway, we'll get off topic.
Is the...
Are they hummer size?
I think smaller, smaller.
Like ranger over size.
Yes.
I think that is probably ranger over sports size.
Yeah. It might even be a little bit smaller than that.
Okay.
Which is why I don't mind them.
They're not, they're not...
It's not worth it.
It's not.
I like it because it's quite simple.
I don't like those front lights.
They do have those absolutely shocked front lights.
The only thing that I like a lot on them is their colorways
tend to be quite good.
They have like, they have like some nice deep purple
or some nice deep reds and some greens and...
You could get, when they first came out,
I'm about, I can figure out one.
You can get a...
Configurated.
Is that a word?
Configured.
That just looks like...
Configurated one.
Yeah.
That's a disco 5.
It is, yeah.
There's a...
They had a dark green leather, like a standard,
which for like a new electric car,
that just isn't happening.
You're getting black again, gray,
and you're getting black around the outside.
So the dark green interior, this one?
Here's one I made earlier.
Wood wood.
It looked quite cool.
That's, I mean, it's quite interesting.
That, is it that one?
Yeah, yeah.
With a nice walnut wood.
That's a nice interior.
The clothes, that person kicked up at the back of it.
It's chilling.
The car, this is the color I really like.
It's like a super deep dark green metallic.
That I think is a cool color.
But so, hey, new electric car on the map.
But quite nice.
Another one from you, Ben.
Ben, really taking his place.
I'm trying so hard to not put this information.
Trying to shake the disinformation.
That was pretty good so far.
Yeah, I like that.
I didn't see anything bad on the Rillian one,
or hear anything.
Koenigsegg, considering a higher volume, attainable cars.
Yes, this is interesting.
So, Christian von Koenigsegg has said,
now, this is the media.
So, he said basically, they quite like to say,
he quite like to do, like Lamborghini spec.
So, it's not attainable to like the other cars.
Like it's in a hurricane.
Maybe more than that.
I'm talking like a Euro.
Or like a Ravuelto.
Oh, okay.
So, we're talking like,
still like a sort of super car.
Half a million pounds, but I would call it,
closer to a million.
Half a million to a million.
In your budget.
Now, yeah, sort of lower.
Now, was that not what the Gamera was supposed to be?
No, the Gamera was just a four-seater one.
I think that was still like,
ridiculously expensive.
Oh, because I was still like,
that was aimed as like a,
his or entry-level thing to...
Well, they originally, the Gamera was meant to be a,
because they have that three-cylinder engine
that can produce,
predicts horsepower.
So, I don't remember if he said it,
or the person was asking about it,
but that drivetrain they obviously have developed
would be quite good.
I mean, it's a three-cylinder electrified,
but in terms of performance,
that, she was to make in like a smaller car.
But yeah, he was saying,
the issue for them is that,
obviously, they are set up to hand-build
like 10 cars a year, 15 cars a year.
So, to shift to them hundreds a year
is a massive shift.
But if there's, if there's anyone that's going to do it,
it's going to be him going to work out how to do it.
Now, I don't like it.
You should just sell those for freeze.
I don't, I think that when you have all the heritage
of Koenigsegg,
and having all of these,
all of these amazing hypercast,
then suddenly become a supercar brand
that's like sort of fitting.
I get a commercial in that sense,
but to me, it feels less special.
Yeah, it's like if Pagani came out with her.
But equally, you might say that about,
granted there was the Jalper,
and there was some smaller Lamborghinis,
but like, you could say that about the Galardo.
Like, yeah, that's watering it down.
I don't think Lamborghini were ever as,
I don't think they were ever hypercar.
No, exactly.
You'd never see Bugatti coming out with,
yo, we're coming out with a...
Well, they did in the 90s.
They tried to.
They have the EB12, which or EB112,
which was the four door saloon.
But I mean, modern Bugatti is more,
because old Bugatti,
I think it was probably more on the level
with like a Lamborghini or Ferrari,
that kind of thing.
Whereas now they are above that,
where they're the top speed guys,
they're the multi-million pound hypercar stuff.
I don't know how a more attainable,
if you like Bugatti or Koenigsegg,
or I don't know even Pagani would actually go down.
I don't also think that hypercars
didn't really exist back in the day.
It was, you had your supercars,
and you had like one above that,
which was basically a more powerful supercar,
but hypercars are just ridiculous.
And also the playing field was now
being leveled in terms of power.
Like if you look at the average supercar now,
it's a thousand horsepower.
So if you're bringing out, it doesn't,
it's not really realistically,
I can only say isn't realistically that much quicker
in the real world than any other supercar.
So what do you have?
You've got your brand,
and you've got that making it mental.
Yeah.
So I can, if you look historically,
the, if you look at it from a business aspect,
the way any hyper,
any luxury car manufacturer has ever made money
is to sell a cheap version of your premium car.
That is how Porsche survived by making the Cayenne.
It's a Gucci t-shirt.
Exactly.
It's the t-shirt that just says Gucci across it.
So a normal person can buy it and go,
I have one of these rare things.
It's the exact same thing.
They will probably do big time numbers off it
if they make a car at Huracan or like GT3RS money,
or let's even say Rivalto money,
because enough people will go, I've got Koenigsegg.
Yeah, I've got Koenigsegg.
I just don't like it.
I agree.
I'm the same.
I'm attainable.
It dilutes the brand.
Yeah.
Unless they come out with something,
I always think that brands like that
might eventually come out with more like
driver-focused things.
Like if they come out and said,
this is your kind of watered-down Koenigsegg,
other than a VA or three-cylinder or whatever,
but it's a manual and it's a bit more old-school type supercar.
Here's one for you.
Koenigsegg make a sister brand of Koenigsegg,
which is called eggs.
Called egg.
No, Koenigsegg is just egg.
It's just egg.
And that could be those cars.
Is it facts?
Oh, I'm sorry.
No, I'm saying that's what they should do.
That's what I prefer.
Because granted, right, you don't have initially the...
It's Koenigsegg.
No one's going to go, it's a Koenigsegg,
but you could go, everyone who is in cars
and would buy one would know it's from Koenigsegg.
From the team that brought you Koenigsegg.
Yeah, exactly.
It's 2DC.
It's 2DC.
2DC.
That'll be cool.
Yeah.
Yeah, hopefully we get Koenigsegg 2DC.
We've got Koenigsegg 2 before GTA 6.
Crazy.
That's crazy.
That's kind of wild.
And more news from you, Ben.
I think that all the news might be you.
I'm just going to say all the news is Ben.
New, Newsweek, Ben.
Here's what I do now.
I have a new system.
I see it.
Come up on my Instagram feed.
I then somewhat research it.
Do no research.
And then put a link in the chat with it.
Lovely.
Ben, next week I'm going to transfer this news bit to you.
You're going to take over the news bit.
You will just give us the news.
Wow, I've come so far for my life.
I will do the anecdotes after your news section.
All that time ago from Volvo will be making square boys.
I stand by that.
That was a good AI image.
Anyway, go on then.
Not much has come of it.
Next, GR86 and MX-5 will be the same car.
Now, I don't really understand this.
What the hell?
Apparently, they're joint developing it.
So, when you say that.
So, what I assume that means is that it is GT86 and BRZ.
It's a joint car that is fadger engineered.
I'm going to pull the article up so I don't get it wrong
because this is the one that all I could get wrong.
Crumbling down.
The pressure I've laid upon these shoulders is already overbearing.
Also, we've been far too informative this podcast.
People are going to be switching off, Greg.
I didn't come here for a car podcast.
I did come here for facts.
I came here for eggs and bullying.
I came here for eggs and bullying.
And I'm all out of eggs.
Best misinformation.
We're locked in here with Ben.
Here we go.
Ben's on a big read right now.
So, it is a rumor, as Prussia said that.
But apparently, they are both being developed currently
and they may share the same platform, the same engine.
Who knows?
But apparently, the rumor is that they will be basically
the same car, jointly developed.
But I also read that they will be developing
their own engines.
Is it just a platform thing?
But I don't think it will be a case of just badge engineering
