Overstock means lots of cars are sitting at dealerships that they can’t sell fast enough. When that happens, dealers often lower prices to get the cars off their lots.
Trade value is the price a dealer gives you for your current car if you use it as part of the payment. Higher trade values can make it easier to afford the next vehicle.
Cox Automotive is a company that studies car market trends using lots of sales and auction data. Here, they’re being used as the source for what’s happening with used-car prices.
Mannheim Auctions is where many dealers buy and sell used cars in bulk. Prices there can affect what dealers pay for cars and what you see at the dealership.
They’re talking about used cars being expensive right now. If you’re buying used, it can feel harder to get a good price, but a good trade-in can help.
The Buick Roadmaster is an older, full-size car model from Buick. It’s the kind of vehicle you’d usually hear about in historical discussions or when someone is talking about a specific older car.
This is about government incentives that can make electric cars cheaper to buy. If those incentives change, people may buy more or fewer EVs, which can affect car sales overall.
Trade-in values are what a dealer offers for your current vehicle when you buy another. The hosts suggest that when there’s lots of inventory, dealers may raise trade-in offers to move cars, improving the overall deal.
Incentives are discounts or special offers that can lower the price of a new car. The hosts are saying you may get better incentives when dealers have lots of cars sitting on the lot.
A Toyota Highlander is a family SUV with extra seats. The caller is saying it’s not big enough anymore for their dogs and camping gear, so they’re shopping for something roomier.
The Honda Odyssey is a minivan built for families and hauling. The caller is interested because you can change the seating setup so there’s more room for gear and pets.
The Chrysler Pacifica is a minivan designed for families. The caller likes it because it can be configured to carry lots of stuff by folding or stowing seats.
A stowaway feature means the seats can be moved out of the way so you get a lot more space to haul stuff. It’s especially helpful when you’re camping or transporting pets and gear.
A cargo van is built mainly for carrying items, not people. The caller wants their minivan to feel similar—lots of open space for camping gear and dogs.
Stellantis is the large automaker formed from the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and PSA Group. In this segment, the speaker calls themselves a “Stellantis fan,” connecting that brand to Chrysler products like the Pacifica.
The Toyota Sienna is a minivan that’s often compared directly with the Honda Odyssey for family use and long-term ownership. The host recommends it alongside the Odyssey for drivers who want to keep the vehicle for a very long time and reach high mileage.
The Kia Carnival is a minivan alternative to the Pacifica. The host’s main point is that it comes with a long warranty, which can make ownership feel less risky.
A 10-year/100,000-mile warranty means the company promises to cover certain repairs for a long time. The host brings it up because it can reduce worry if you’re not planning to keep the vehicle for extremely high mileage.
This is about buying a vehicle with the plan to keep it for a very long time and drive it a ton of miles. They’re saying some minivans are more proven for that kind of high-mileage life.
The Ford F-150 is a very popular pickup truck. The hosts are talking about how many of them have been recalled, which can be useful if you’re considering buying one.
A recall is when a car company says, “We found a problem and we’ll fix it.” The hosts are discussing whether having more recalls means a company is doing a worse job, and they point out it’s not that simple.
The Ford Explorer is an SUV model. The story here is about a period when people blamed the vehicle, but the problem turned out to be related to the tires instead.
Tires are what connect the car to the road. In this story, the big safety problem wasn’t the SUV itself—it was the tires that were causing the dangerous behavior.
Control arms are parts that connect the suspension to the vehicle so the wheels stay properly positioned. If they wear out, you can hear noises and the ride/handling can feel off.
Axles are the parts that send power from the drivetrain out to the wheels. If they’re worn, you may get noises or vibration, and repairs can get costly.
They’re saying shops sometimes recommend extra work because they’re worried about being held responsible later if they noticed a problem and didn’t mention it. It’s part of why estimates can balloon.
If a shop tells you you need expensive repairs, it can help to get a second opinion. That way you can compare diagnoses and decide what’s really urgent.
If you’re not sure what’s wrong—or whether the fix is worth it—get a second opinion. A good mechanic can look it over and help you avoid paying for unnecessary work.
The Jaguar XK is a sporty Jaguar model people buy for comfort and style. The big point here is that the host doesn’t feel good about recommending Jaguars right now because of parts and dealer support.
They’re saying Jaguar went through major changes that affected how the brand is run. Those kinds of shifts can change whether dealers support the cars and how easy parts are to get.
The host uses sales comparisons to illustrate Jaguar’s weaker position in the U.S. market, noting that more people bought Alfa Romeo than Jaguars in the same quarter. This frames the discussion around brand momentum and dealer/parts ecosystem health.
They mention Aston Martin as part of a story about how Ford owned multiple luxury brands. The takeaway is that these brands’ fortunes can be linked through corporate history.
Land Rover is another British luxury brand within the Jaguar Land Rover family. The host contrasts Jaguar’s direction with Land Rover’s progress, implying Land Rover has improved in areas like support and ownership experience.
This is an ownership risk concept: even if a car is appealing, limited dealer/independent service availability and scarce parts can lead to longer repairs and higher costs. Over time, that can turn small issues into bigger problems if maintenance can’t be done promptly.
This segment promotes using an experienced automotive advisor before buying a vehicle. The underlying idea is that knowledgeable guidance can help you avoid ownership pitfalls like poor service access or parts availability.
FTC is a U.S. government agency that helps protect consumers from unfair or misleading business practices. Here, they’re involved because some ads for vehicles may not be honest about the real price.
Sometimes ads make the price look cheaper than it really is. The fine print can hide extra charges or conditions, so the “deal” you see online isn’t the deal you get at checkout.
The Honda Stream is a Honda vehicle built to move people around comfortably, kind of like a small van. It’s meant to be practical for families or groups, with space for passengers and everyday items.
Airstream is a brand of travel trailers that are known for being premium and very recognizable. The host is saying that if it’s an Airstream, the price should be much higher than what the ad payment suggests.
Some ads focus on the monthly payment instead of the total price. But the monthly number can look small even when the overall cost is huge, depending on financing details.
Financing over 15 years usually makes the monthly payment smaller. But you often pay more money overall because you’re paying interest for longer. Always check the total cost, not just the monthly number.
Fine print is the small details in the contract that can change what you’re really getting. Sometimes the ad sounds great, but the details reveal a different price or a smaller/cheaper item.
A trailer is something you tow behind your vehicle. The important part is that different trailers vary a lot in size and weight, which changes what you can tow and what the deal should really cost.
XLT is a trim level on the Ford F-150, typically positioned above the base models and below higher trims. Trim affects equipment and features, which can influence how a buyer values the truck.
“Self-drive mode” usually means the car can help you, but it’s not the same as the car fully driving itself. In most cases, you still have to pay attention and be responsible for what happens.
Concept
driver responsibility with driver-assistance vs full autonomy
Even if a truck has features that help you drive, you’re still responsible for what happens. The episode also stresses that you can’t ignore basic safety rules just because the car is doing some driving tasks.
They mention Tesla because Tesla is known for advanced driver-assist features. The point is that even with automation features, the car still needs to behave predictably—and the driver can’t treat it like it’s fully in charge.
Car dealers often have the best discounts near the end of the year. They’re trying to sell cars before the calendar flips, and that can make both purchases and leases cheaper.
A lease is a contract where you pay to use a vehicle for a set term, usually with an agreed residual value at the end. The host notes that year-end timing is often best for leasing because incentives and dealer targets can translate into lower monthly payments or better lease terms.
They’re comparing two experiences: one where buying a car feels exciting, and another where it feels stressful and drawn out. The point is that how you shop can change how you feel about the whole process.
The hosts promote a listener hotline for car-buying advice. While not a vehicle component, it’s part of the show’s process for helping consumers avoid common pitfalls during purchase negotiations.
They’re talking about choosing a dealership ahead of time instead of walking in randomly. The idea is that the right place to shop can help you get a better deal and avoid wasting hours.
This sounds like a specific Chevrolet dealership that someone recommended. Different dealerships can treat customers differently, so it’s useful when listeners hear real experiences.
They’re describing how some car purchases take forever and feel exhausting. The takeaway is that preparation and the right process can help you get in and out faster.
It’s when a seller gets you interested with one deal, but then tries to change it later. With cars, that can mean extra charges or pressure after you’ve already started the process.
Those are extra items the dealership tries to sell when you’re signing paperwork. They can add a lot to the final cost, even if the car price sounded like a deal.
This is when the dealership pushes hard on the payment plan and extras. If you’re worn out or distracted, it’s easier to say yes to things you didn’t plan on.

joining us here on The Car Pro Show where you get straight talking honest answers
about everything automotive every single week right here on the same channel and I
will tell you this it is a good time to get yourself a new set of wheels and
next week in the free weekly newsletter I really go into a lot of detail on why
that's true and the big biggest thing is that the business the auto industry has
been off for the it was off in the first quarter I brought you the sales
numbers yesterday in the newsletter and industry was off about 6% and that's
substantial when you start talking about you know 16 million or so cars a year
6% in the first quarter being down but the the the after effect of missing
forecast in the auto industry is dealers have to order their cars months in
advance manufacturers have to do their production plans months in advance and
they stick to them they don't alter them so what's happened is there's been too
many cars built this year the dealers haven't sold what they've already
ordered they can't send them back they got to sell them and so we've got
ourselves in an overstock situation now that's bad news for them that's really
good news for you because that's when the bargains start coming out that's why
I wrote the article that was in yesterday's newsletter about aged inventory
dealers have got inventory that's starting to get old on them and that's
where the bargains are also next week I talk I walk you through all that plus
the trade values right now or through the roof I've got a whole different
article next week on that I've got a study by Cox Automotive they are the
experts on used cars they own Mannheim auctions and they're talking about how
high used cars are right now that kind of sucks if you want to buy one but if
you got a trade in that is the best news you could get this is a window of
opportunity right now and you don't want to miss it I'll help you with that
give us a call right now in the retail my ride studios at 800 926 77 77 800 926
77 77 we've got one line open you can grab it if you call and you get a busy
signal try us again on the chase dot com car pro hotline 800 926 77 77 and here
is Todd the old roadmaster I was gonna go there okay I thought maybe you forgot
there but no it's no of course I could I forget the road of course not yeah it's
like you said it's a great time who could have thought that you know the
compared to last year when things were quite a bit different you had the you
know the everybody kind of worried about the you know the benefit the federal
benefit for EV's and car sales were kind of robust and now that we've had a
little bit of a change of a fate with this time around boy it's really gonna
benefit you to probably sooner than later I know that next week and it's gonna
be the last weekend of the month and probably start looking now to start
getting your situation taken care of because like you just said a second ago
the trading values are great there's a lot of inventory and when there's a too
much inventory they've got to get that stuff moved it's only gonna benefit you
with either insider deals or maybe even you know some of the incentives going on
yeah start start at car pro dot com there's a green button near the top of
the page says find a car pro certified dealer near you click there put in the
brand that you want in your zip code the closest car pro certified dealer up to
you will pull right up along with the contact person and that's critical yeah
talk to the contact person yep so don't don't miss out don't go it on your own
you know I have sometimes you got to drive a little bit to find one of our
dealers but I'm gonna tell you right now your odds of finding a good dealer and a
good deal are about one out of ten if you pick the closest dealer to you
occasionally you'll look out but it's pretty doggone rare I got to tell you
yeah let's talk to Rosie in Houston Rosie welcome to the car pro show what
can I help you with hi there okay so I have a Toyota Highlander and I am
looking to trade that in for a car that is more spacious the Highlander is to
we've outgrown it I have three huge German shepherds and they just when
we're camping I don't have room for the dogs and the camping stuff so I've been
looking at the Pacifica and I've been looking at the Honda Odyssey I'd like to
stowaway feature in the Pacifica and I the Honda the Odyssey you can take those
seats out and make it almost look like a cargo van well and the Pacifica is the
same way so really I'm looking for that cargo van look but not not the you know
let me on the inside but not the cargo look on the outside no I get it it makes
perfect sense like a minivan or I don't know if that's me then or SUV but it
needs to be I need to have a lot of space on the inside and that Highlanders
way too small yeah I understand and Rosie one question for you how long are
you likely to keep this vehicle this one I would like to keep my last this
Highlander does not have high mileage on it but my last Highlander did and so
it had almost almost 170,000 miles on it this one only has like 60,000 or yeah
that's 60,000 but if you found the right one you'd probably keep it a long time
oh yes yes definitely I want a lot one that we can just keep for a very long
time and just enjoy you know the outdoors okay I have the two that you
mentioned and I like the Pacifica I think it's a I think they've done a good
job with it and I'm a Stellantis fan I like Chrysler but for the long haul you
cannot beat the Odyssey or the Toyota Sienna either one of those okay I have
not looked at the Sienna yet but it is on my list to look at good good I think
that's the two that you should narrow it down to now I put the Pacifica in the
same category as the Kia Carnival which you should look at also and the only
reason I say that is that one comes with a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty but if
you're going to try to go 200,000 miles with your next vehicle then the Odyssey
or the Toyota is the way to go and there's history tells me that there's
just absolutely no getting around that and they're very very nice I've got
terrific dealers for Hondas and Toyotas in Houston from my website the car
pro Jerry Reynolds knows things you just can't know so call it on the chase.com

in this week's newsletter there's some news that it may affect the I guess the
outcome of what your search for a brand new vehicle would be or just even in
the near future with the 25 most and 25 least recalled vehicles and on here it
looks like the Ford even with their well had one nearly one and a half million
F-150s and a single recall this week alone that certainly make I mean it may
make you pause to say you know with some of these vehicles that these were back
in 2015 to 2017 but nonetheless with recalls and everything I think every
Ford every dealer they every make they're gonna they're gonna have recalls at
one point or another but it's always nice to see who has the most and the
least and may make help you make a decision especially if you're looking
at a certain vehicle for sure yeah you know I followed this I followed recalls
my entire career and it started really when I started paying attention to him
was when around 2000 when I was the Ford National Dealer Council chairman and
explorers were rolling over and killing people left and right 150 something
people died on roads in America due to explorers turns out it wasn't the
vehicle itself it was the tires yeah and in fact that was yesterday's true
story from a former car dealer I'll read that the number of tires they had to go
oh my place and you were working day and night trying to get all these things
done that was crazy yeah we did there was Ford bought three million sets of
tires to replace the firestorms but there's no correlation between long-term
reliability and recalls and that sounds funny but it's the truth and and some
people will argue you know if a car company is doing their job and they're
really watching out for things they're gonna have more recalls and I think
there is some truth in that but you know everybody goes every car company goes
through phases of a lot of recalls Toyota was one of the most recall car
companies in America not too many years ago yeah and so they just go through
things you know and but it's an interesting list it's something to pay
attention to but in my opinion it's not something to make a buying decision on
okay all right you shouldn't dissuade you from if you were looking to get like
a Lincoln and you see this listen go well there's Lincoln on the list there
maybe I shouldn't get this particular one it it's not going to be something
the long-term is going to affect your reliability no for that vehicle it's not
it's a pain the butt yeah yeah jack is Houston welcome to the car pro show hello
jack what could I do for you hey Jerry I but I've got a 2017 Hacker MDX with 86
thousand miles on it took it in for oil change yesterday and I mentioned that I'm
having some noises with my suspension yeah and I walked out with a estimate of
$8,500 the repair all the axles and control arms and a timing belt and I'm
just it doesn't seem to make sense to me to put $8,500 into a $12,000 car no it
doesn't but when you when you go into a dealership jack and you say you know I
got a noise and you open that door to let them have the opportunity to really
look at your vehicle and they're gonna be it you might as well hand them your
checkbook because they're gonna find everything that even looks like it might
need to be replaced right were they specific with you on what the problem
you described was yeah they were specific on that but then they also
pointed out some other things of course that and look I was I was in the car
business for years that's what we did that we and part of it was liability if
if we saw something that was suspect and we didn't tell you then we opened
ourselves up to getting sued later down the road so that's part of the issue as
well but I as good as the accurate is I think I would have them do the minimum
that the the the item that's bothering you and wait on the rest of it and get a
second opinion on it that's I tell people to do that all the time you know
get another opinion you do that if the doctor told you you had a serious problem
you'd get another opinion it's no different with a car you should you
should get somebody else to look at it you know with a 2017 I I tend to not
recommend dealerships for cars once they're past five years old because you
can save a lot of money and you can get good repairs done so give that some
thought I I don't see a reason to trade I'd get that one item fixed and then see
how it does if you bought a car you thought you'd love but now you want to
push it off a cliff get some advice from the car pro Jerry Reynolds on the
Michael is Houston you're next on the car pro show Michael what can I do for
you I've heard you speak about Land Rover but I've never heard you talk about
Jaguar side and when I was looking at was either a XK or an F series convertible
so what are your thoughts I can't recommend them I can't in good faith
recommend a Jaguar right now and there's a lot of reasons one is I'm not sure
that they're going to continue to sell cars in the United States I I think the
odds are slim they've gone through a huge transition they've made some
horrific mistakes they sold 900 cars in the first quarter of the year 900 let me
put in perspective for you more people bought Alfa Romeo's in the first
quarter then they bought Jaguars the dealers have abandoned them they don't
want to work on them the parts are not easy to get the resale value is horrific
there are just better choices out there and let me add I'm a Jaguar fan from
years ago for a lot of years that's all I drove personally when Ford I had four
dealerships and Ford owned Jaguar that's all I drove and I had a bunch of and I
loved every one of them but it's a different car company today what wasn't
Jaguar and Ford together some at some point right about 2007 yes and before
that they Ford bought Jag if I'm going for memory was in 2001 when Ford bought
Jag they bought Aston Martin at the same time roughly we had Land Rover also that
came with Jag and then they sold them off Land Rover has has made good progress
Jaguar's gone the other way and I as much as I like them I think it would be a
mistake to get one and and for the reasons that I stated primarily the lack
of places to service it and the unavailability of parts that can cause
you real problems down the road so Michael look around there's other great
cars out there but I can't recommend that one you can't get good advice from
someone who doesn't really have a lot of experience that's why you need to call

and welcome back to the car pro show with Jerry Reynolds he's the car pro and
I'm the old roadmaster what they call me they've called me that for weeks and
weeks at least anyway yeah I'm not sure where that came from but it's stuck it
kind of has and it's like you know what if it is that then why not one of the
more clicked items in the newsletter this week has to do with Jerry's commentary
on the FTC you know here lately they're starting to kind of crack down on
deceptive pricing ads for car dealers even with a judgment that was issued here
of late but Jerry has some other questions about what about some other
ads that are just as deceptive and they're not with car dealers yeah if you
got your newsletter from yesterday and you didn't read that commentary piece it
was titled the FTC is cleaning house but only halfway and I put an example in
there and look I've been after the I've been after the FTC for years to crack
down on deceptive car dealers because it's not fair to the good car dealers
it puts them at a disadvantage when you see a price online and you go to the
dealership and they say well yeah you can buy it for that but we've got these
market adjustments and oh only one of that price and it's already been sold
yeah it's already gone yeah so this article I I took a screenshot I took a
picture with my cell phone of my TV nice picture by the way thank you yeah
I froze the screen so I could read the fine print and was from a motorhome
dealer and they're showing the picture of a air stream travel trailer being
pulled by a Ford pickup a big monster yeah it looked it looked to me because it
was tandem axle looked to me to be about a 30 foot air stream and if you know
anything about trailers it's the air stream is the Mercedes Benz of trailers
yeah it's silver one yeah yeah chrome quite even better I looked at the price
of a new and I've even backed it down a little bit I looked at the price of a
new 28 foot air stream and I think that's the minimum this one is and what
they were new and it's a hundred eighty seven thousand dollars okay so the
screenshot shows this RV dealer with a payment of 98 dollars a month for that
much money that you have to pay for that particular trailer 15 year financing
but but even at 15 years do the math yeah I mean at 98 dollars a month how
much is that 15 grand yeah right yeah so what I when I got the fine print and I
looked what you're getting is a 16 foot cheap lightweight trailer with a single
axle that you can purchase for $14,000 so the 98 dollars a month had nothing to
do with the picture that's that that I put in this article yeah that is that
is that's tricky that's sneaky right there it's deceptive yeah and so the
article the premise of the article was okay good for you FTC for cracking down
on car dealers that needs to be done those laws have been on the books for a
long time and nobody's paid attention to them but what about everything else that
you see on TV and on your internet what about all the other things that are
that are deceptive you know their whole thing is if you see a price on something
you should be able to walk in and buy it for that absolutely and that's so
seldom the case and I and and it just it makes me crazy come on FTC let's get
cracking come on well I got a feeling that article is gonna end up on the desk
of someone in Washington and we'll see where it goes from there love to see
some movement there that'd be nice I'd love for you to read that article it's
very enlightening I think it's one of the better commentaries I've ever written
Arnold and Arnold and is that right in Houston Houston Texas hey Arnold how
could I help you sir yeah I've got a 2020 F-150 and I was thinking about trading
it in my refinancing a couple years the payments of 587 they used to be 835 and
kept the one want to give me a good financing to come back to them and all
that yeah but they do I use them as I use them as my personal bank but yeah this
truck got a hundred and four thousand miles on it I'm trying to see where it
be to my best advantage to I tell you this it's it would certainly be worth
looking at numbers that right now and the reason I say that is for April in
Texas and I say I'm prefacing that because incentives are different in
different places and we're being we're being heard all over the country right
now but in Texas for April the there is a lot of Ford loyalty rebates so on the
pickups if you own a Ford now and you buy a new one it's something like
thirty five hundred dollars extra in rebates that you get so it would
certainly be worth looking at at some numbers with one of my dealers you got
104,000 miles on is it a full four-door F-150 you what trim level is it it's an
XLT four dollar the back seat never been set in it's like brand new in the back
Friday looks new I only sit on the driver side so and the body looks you
know looks pretty good it is shiny and pretty but you know and the tires are
like brand new so what engine it's a V8 5.0 okay 5.0 that's good
they got the next button with the racing button and all that stuff and it's all like a race car
you got a six-year-old truck it's got a hundred thousand miles on it which is under
the average the used truck market especially in Texas is guy high right
now and if you can get that loyalty money and a in the car pro price from one of
my dealers I think there I think everything's gonna line up to be very
favorable for you making a trade right now now I've got I've got four great
four dealers in the Houston area and they're all at my website car pro.com
near the top click the green button it says find a car pro dealer put your zip
code in the closest one to you will pull up first it could be Jorge Lopez at
Tom Ball Ford it could be Mark Collin I live by Perlman out here at Perlman
Alvin area yeah so so see which one's closest to you and try to get in there
between now and the end of the month while that loyalty money is here I don't
know that that'll be around in May but you got a lot going for you the miles on
your truck the truck market used the loyalty money the dealers have got plenty
of trucks right now and I like the five liter it's been a good engine for a lot
of years but I'll tell you right now if you'll drive that 3.5 EcoBoost that's
what you're gonna end up buying take a test drive in one of those and I
guarantee you'll love it I appreciate the call Arnold if you think you want a

well you always know it's gonna be an interesting story when it starts off
with a Florida man seems to seems everything wacky happens in Florida
doesn't know I don't know why I love Florida but who's who yeah that's the
first story in my favorite story of this week's quick chefs this the top stories
in the auto industry and cherries commentary Florida man it starts off
facing DOI charges it's sort of an interesting defense he claims he wasn't
driving because his 2019 Ford F-150 was in self-drive mode police pull up and
they pull him over they walk to the the window he's got an open container they
smell alcohol and he said hey you know it is self-driving I had nothing to do
with it well number one you are responsible for your vehicle whether
it's autonomous or not that's the first problem yes and the second problem is
that particular vehicle didn't have autonomous driving capability so pretty
funny stuff and if it did have full self-driving like Tesla right he wouldn't
been weaving he was weaving that's that's important absolutely so it would
have been straight down the road and probably would have been pulled over
more than likely but just goes to show you you can't go in first of all you
can't have an open container in the vehicle you know at least if when you
get pulled over
don't you hide it if you got something I mean don't just try to stuff it under
the seat or in the glove box or something almost like he was proud of it in a
way that's that was just not good I tell you what there is no shortage of me
finding weird things that happen that's car related every week in that quick
shift call no doubt about that let's talk to CJ and Santa Clarita California CJ
welcome hey Jerry head card good morning actually my name is Sujal it's an Indian

well more happy listeners got some right here these are folks have gone to
Jerry's carpro.com site have gone through the process of getting that
dealership that Jerry recommends for what you're looking for and man some
great stories of for example Henry and Houston said he heard good things about
classic Chevy and Sugarland and he's listened to Jerry Reynolds for 15 plus
here so went to the car pro site looked in dealerships in his area
Aaron Strand a classic came up all right made an appointment with Aaron said the
fastest experience I've ever had buying a car you hear that a lot because that
that's a concern when you don't do it this way you could spend all day at that
dealership and you're just worn slap out oh they wear you down and that's kind of
what some folks do but the folks that work with Jerry of course are looking to
give you the best opportunity for a deal and by the way Henry said Aaron was
experienced professional very respectful Daniel had some good things to say
about Round Rock Hyundai over in Austin yeah working with the folks there they
said was outstanding bought the car from Round Rock to the DFW area free of
charge said they were courteous kind and knowledgeable so good stuff there I love
that yeah that's in which we had time we could fill all of our airtime just
reading those through every week absolutely you know it's just it's it's
the difference between a great experience and a typical experience and with the
typical ones they wear you down that's where the bait and switch comes in and
they've got you there for four hours and then they start telling you all the
things that you're gonna have to pay and putting you through the grinder of
finance it's just and by that point you're just ready to get the car and
leave absolutely so you you're not paying attention to what you do it doesn't
need to be that way you can have a good time have an enjoyable experience and
get a great deal if you go to car pro dot com there are things you need to know
before you buy a truck and nobody knows them better than the car pro Jerry
Reynolds call them on the chase dot com car pro listener line at 1-800-926-7777

About this episode
Deal-focused Car Pro Radio Show dives into why the auto market is ripe for shoppers: Q1 sales were down ~6%, leaving dealers with overstock and aging inventory that can translate into incentives and bargains. Trade-in values are also strong, making now a window of opportunity. Listener calls cover choosing a long-haul family hauler (Pacifica vs Odyssey vs Sienna), whether to fix an expensive suspension job vs trade, and why Jerry can’t recommend Jaguar right now. The hosts also rant about deceptive pricing ads and discuss Ford F-150 trade timing and a Florida “self-driving” DUI case.
