01:12
You know, Donalds, I just want to scream out into this canyon
01:16
and tell the whole world, T-Mobile's got home internet.
01:19
T-Mobile's got home internet.
01:22
T-Mobile's got home internet.
01:28
And it's guaranteed for five years.
01:32
I'm switching through.
01:33
T-Mobile's got home internet.
01:34
Just $35 a month with auto-pay and any voiceline.
01:37
And it's guaranteed for five years.
01:39

Multi-point vehicle inspections vary by participating dealer.
01:58
Buying a new car is one of the most important things
02:01
you can do and also one of the easiest things to mess up.
02:04
But this is the car pro show where Jerry Reynolds, the car
02:07
pro, always gives you straight talk and honest answers
02:10
about everything automotive.
02:13
Jerry was in the car business for over three decades,
02:16
ran multiple dealerships, and won USA Today's dealer
02:19
of the year award twice.
02:21
Todd Chambliss is Jerry's co-host,
02:24
and he's all about fun.
02:25
So welcome to the Car Pro Show.
02:29
Thank you very much.
02:30
We appreciate you being part of the family here
02:32
of the Car Pro Show.
02:34
We've got two hours to go.
02:38
We've been on a total of three hours now,
02:40
two in Dallas, Fort Worth, three
02:42
across the rest of the country.
02:44
It's coming up, third hour complete.
02:48
This is hour number four.
02:49
And even if you don't get our show for hour number five,
02:53
which is the next hour, then you
02:56
can go to carpro.com and click on Listen Live.
02:59
And you can grab us on your phone,
03:02
put us on the Bluetooth in your car
03:04
if you have that, and you won't miss a thing.
03:08
Then if all that fails, around 230 Central, 1230 Pacific
03:13
Today, the podcast will be up all three hours.
03:17
You can join us that way.
03:19
It's a real easy, if you're not
03:21
used to listening to podcasts, it's OK,
03:24
because all three hours are there.
03:27
They'll be separated.
03:28
And all you got to do is click an arrow,
03:31
and it'll start to play.
03:34
It's really, really easy.
03:36
We've been talking cars all day, and we'll continue to,
03:40
helping people make good car buying decisions.
03:42
And my co-host, Todd Chambliss, is here.
03:47
Yep, not a lot of tariff information lately.
03:50
I did notice on your newsletter, which, by the way,
03:52
if you do not subscribe to the newsletter,
03:55
I would highly recommend it.
03:57
You have said many, many times
03:58
that you could very few almost know folks unsubscribing.
04:02
No, everybody seems to really enjoy it
04:04
and like the information.
04:06
And there's a lot of stuff there that you can use.
04:09
And that's why I always encourage people
04:12
to scroll all the way through, get to the bottom of it.
04:18
And because you don't know what's
04:22
going to trigger a memory down the road,
04:26
something that may not be of interest to you today
04:28
if I write an article, for instance,
04:30
on how to deal with an insurance adjuster
04:33
to make sure you get a fair settlement
04:37
if your car gets towed or stolen.
04:40
That may not be the case today,
04:42
but it could be the case tomorrow.
04:44
And all of a sudden, you'll remember,
04:46
oh, I saw something on the CarPro show about that.
04:48
You might be thrust right into that situation
04:50
at a moment's notice anyway.
04:52
And then you can go back to the website, carpro.com,
04:56
and use the search box at the top
04:58
to search for an article that was in the newsletter.
05:02
And it works like a charm.
05:03
And reviews and all the other things
05:05
that you see every single week.
05:06
Well, recalls, I mean.
05:08
Well, recalls, too, yeah.
05:12
Everybody's enjoyed Kim Commando being part
05:18
She is the tech guru of America.
05:22
And really, really good.
05:23
She's got a great newsletter as well.
05:25
So I give you excerpts from that every single week.
05:31
Quiz is fun, although I think I've
05:35
had one right of the answers in the past months.
05:41
But it's still a lot of fun.
05:43
This week, the review I did of the 2025 Ford Expedition
05:48
was the second most clicked on thing in the newsletter.
05:51
My video of the week, which was amazing,
05:56
was the number one clicked on thing.
05:59
The most stolen car in America.
06:02
There's one car out there that you're
06:05
39% more apt to get stolen than the average car.
06:11
And I was kind of amazed by that.
06:13
I would have thought some other cars would be number one.
06:15
But I could see how that could happen with this.
06:22
Made the top five with your video of the week.
06:24
I can't believe it.
06:25
I'm in the running.
06:26
I'm at the big table, not the kids table.
06:29
Something for your baby book.
06:33
Thank you very much.
06:35
Let's go to the phones.
06:36
We'll talk to Wayne in Long Beach, California.
06:40
How could I help you, sir?
06:43
So I've been downsizing.
06:47
And I've got a 68 Cadillac with 80,000 miles on it, a CTS.
06:53
And I've got a 2011 Dodge Ram diesel with a six-speed manual
07:00
with 140,000 miles.
07:02
I want to get rid of those.
07:04
And I've got limited space to park a car in the garage.
07:08
And I'm looking for a small pickup truck.
07:12
And I've been to about 10 dealers.
07:13
And the smallest truck I can find
07:15
so far is the Ford Maverick.
07:19
And I wonder if anybody else is building a side.
07:22
What I'd like is I'd like to have one about the size
07:24
of the first generation Ford Ranger.
07:29
Now, the Maverick's the smallest, the smallest
07:32
that I know of, the Hyundai Santa Cruz
07:37
is actually just a little bit larger.
07:41
Now, the one that's coming out that might be of interest
07:47
to you, I don't know, if it happens.
07:51
And I'd preface it with a big if because it's Jeff Bezos
07:56
and the guy that owns Amazon.
08:01
He's coming out with a really small electric truck.
08:06
And I don't know if electric's any interest
08:11
if you have any interest in those or not.
08:13
But it looks to be a good foot and a half smaller, shorter
08:21
And it's going to be a low cost truck.
08:24
He says he's going to get that truck
08:26
to come in around $20,000.
08:30
It's still a year or so away.
08:33
But I have Amazon delivery drivers.
08:41
At my house every single day.
08:46
And as good a job as they do with that doesn't necessarily mean
08:51
they'll make a great vehicle, especially an electric one.
08:55
So I'm I'm a little bit concerned about, you know,
08:59
it says first, is it going to happen?
09:01
Secondly, if it does happen, how good is it going to be?
09:04
How long is it going to last?
09:05
What's the range because the electric car with short range
09:10
is just basically worthless.
09:14
But I mean, the Maverick is pretty small.
09:20
Have you have you driven a Maverick, Wayne?
09:24
I drove it around the block of the dealer.
09:26
What did you what do you think?
09:27
Because I really liked it.
09:30
It seemed to have a lot of pep.
09:32
Yeah, you probably drove the hybrid,
09:34
which does have a lot of power and gets 42 miles to the gallon,
09:41
So, you know, I think that's the safe bet.
09:45
You can still get a hybrid for 30 grand or less
09:49
if you don't get a top of the line.
09:51
Lariat, you can get one for about 30 grand.
09:55
I think that's probably the answer for you now.
09:58
I don't know other than that electric truck.
10:01
I don't know that we'll see anything smaller than that.
10:03
They get smaller than that.
10:06
There's really no use in having a pickup
10:08
because it doesn't have any doesn't have any capacity.
10:12
I appreciate the car, Wayne.
10:14
You may think you know a lot about cars,
10:16
but you may also think you can quarter back the Dallas Cowboys.
10:20
Get real and get expert advice about the cars
10:24
from the CarPro Show at 1-800-926-7777.
10:37
Lots of good stories every single week in the CarPro Newsletter.
10:43
Quick Ships is the place you ought to go for that.
10:46
Jerry takes some stories, and the auto industry has his commentary on them
10:50
and some interesting reading, including the fact that Ford is going to pay somebody
10:55
a six-figure salary if you're good at naming stuff.
10:59
Name it all the cars.
11:00
That's a special talent to name it the right thing, right?
11:04
Sometimes you don't do so well.
11:05
Yeah, and I shake my head sometimes.
11:09
I wonder, what were they thinking when they named this car to this?
11:13
You know, and they go through what I call alphabet soup.
11:18
Some car companies do.
11:20
Some do letters and numbers, but there's just nothing to take
11:24
the place of a good, sexy name for a car.
11:28
You know, and you look back through history at some of some of them.
11:33
You know, the Malibu.
11:37
Yeah. I mean, doesn't it bring good thoughts?
11:41
You think of Malibu, California.
11:43
You think of the ocean.
11:45
You think of the beaches.
11:46
Yeah, yeah. That makes me happy.
11:48
Yeah, and that's the feeling you want to have when you, you know,
11:51
the imagery that you conjure up with a car name like that,
11:54
because it's got to reflect something positive and it's got to kind of,
11:57
you know, be tied into the vehicle somehow as well.
12:01
Yeah. And I mean, Ford had a probe.
12:07
You remember that one?
12:08
Little two-seater piece of crap.
12:11
Nice headed, by the way.
12:19
Who says who says that every Ford.
12:22
SUV has to start with an E.
12:26
Who made that rule?
12:29
I mean, Expedition's a nice name.
12:32
Explorer, that's OK.
12:39
It makes me think of jailbreak.
12:46
So that's not the direction they were hoping for, but.
12:50
Edge, OK. Well, yeah.
12:53
You're running out of ease at that point, though, aren't you?
12:55
I mean, in my mind, yeah.
12:57
So they're going to pay somebody
12:58
six figures hourly to name their cars.
13:02
Well, I hope that works out for them.
13:03
I'll do it for less.
13:07
I will. I'll save you some money.
13:10
Let's talk to Ferris in Tombaul, Texas, close to Houston.
13:16
Ferris, what is going on, my man?
13:20
Hey, Todd, how you guys doing today?
13:22
It's a beautiful day.
13:24
Great. Thanks, guys.
13:26
Hey, a quick, really quick question.
13:28
I'm looking at leasing and I'm considering leasing and saying, OK, guys,
13:36
what would it cost you a three year lease?
13:38
What would it cost me if I just like write you a check?
13:41
Is that, you know, if I'm able to do that
13:43
because I'm going to sell a car that I own?
13:46
Would that be advantageous, cost wise for me?
13:49
Yeah. What do you think?
13:50
Yeah, it's called a prepaid lease.
13:54
I just had an article last week in my free newsletter about.
14:00
Oh, gosh, you know, when I get the newsletter, I'm to miss that one, darn it.
14:03
Yeah, prepaid leases.
14:04
I've done three of them in the past 10 years.
14:10
The advantages are the obvious, simple one is, you know,
14:15
I have to write a check every month or have your account debited for a lease
14:19
payment, but secondly, there's always better incentives on a prepaid lease.
14:24
And there should be because they're using your money for three years for free.
14:29
So in Texas, where tax credits are a big deal on leases,
14:37
you'll typically a prepaid lease will have tax credits.
14:40
That saves you the sales tax on that lease.
14:45
When I I did two prepaids on new corvettes
14:50
and in both cases, I got the I got the the tax credit
14:57
on the lease and they had a point zero, zero, zero, zero, one lease factor,
15:05
which is as close to zero percent interest as you can possibly get.
15:11
There's some goofy law in Texas that you can't you have to charge
15:14
some interest on leases.
15:17
So point zero, zero, zero, one is, I mean, it's pennies in interest.
15:24
So between those two on those two corvettes,
15:28
it was a savings of about eight thousand dollars a car.
15:32
And so, yeah, I just wrote one check was done with it at the end of the lease.
15:36
I had the same privileges that everybody else that leases does.
15:41
It's a good way to go if you're able to write that check.
15:45
Now, what I wrote about and this is on my F.A.Q.
15:49
page, by the way, about prepaid leases.
15:51
But what I actually wrote about was the prepaid on electric leases
15:57
because of the seventy five hundred dollar federal tax credit
16:01
that is going away at the end of September.
16:03
And I mean, I had my Dallas Toyota needle this morning
16:08
on a on a Prius Prime plug in hybrid.
16:11
You can write one check for seventy two fifty and have a car for three years.
16:15
That's cheap. So yeah, that's a good way to go.
16:20
Find out if your trade in is a classic or a dog.
16:24
Call Jerry Reynolds, the car pro and one eight hundred nine two six seventy seven seventy seven.
16:39
And Leslie in Baytown, Texas.
16:42
Welcome, Leslie, I can help you.
16:45
Hey, Jerry. Well, I have a couple of questions.
16:48
I'm looking at getting a Lincoln Corsair.
16:51
I was wondering how roomy it was in the back for adults.
16:55
It was OK. I had it not long ago.
17:01
When I say OK, let me temper that.
17:05
OK, kind of depends on if they're normal sized.
17:09
As you people, you know, if it's OK,
17:12
if they're not overly tall or overly large,
17:15
two people will fit very nicely back there, actually.
17:19
I was a bit I was a bit surprised at the room back there.
17:24
Good leg room, good head room up to about six feet, maybe just slightly more.
17:30
But yeah, it's it's fine.
17:33
If you want to look at my review, go to car pro dot com.
17:36
Use the search box up at the top.
17:38
Just put Corsair in there and it will pull it'll pull right up.
17:42
And I've got pictures of the back seat and the cargo area.
17:46
Oh, that's wonderful.
17:48
And I give you, yeah, I give you all the dimensions too.
17:51
And every one of our reviews, I give you dimensions on cargo area by cubic feet.
17:57
You know, overall length of the vehicle.
17:59
This is a little larger than most compact SUVs.
18:04
It's grown through the years.
18:06
And back because this used to be called the MKC
18:11
back when Lincoln Lincoln was doing letters.
18:15
We were just talking about that.
18:16
Yeah, we were driving me crazy.
18:21
Yeah, the letters in the alphabet are very good to me.
18:24
Now, as a as a recent as a woman buying a car
18:28
on my own, would it be better to lease or buy?
18:31
I tend to keep my car as a good ten years.
18:34
If you're going to keep it that long, just buy it up front
18:37
because there's zero percent financing.
18:40
And if you can borrow their money for free, do that.
18:46
And keep your money available for something else.
18:49
Or right now, while interest rates are still high,
18:52
your money can make you five, five and a half percent.
18:55
Use their money by the front.
18:57
Get the zero percent.
18:58
Gilbert Thomas is my man at Bayway Lincoln.
19:02
That's going to be pretty close to you on the Gulf Freeway.
19:05
Go over and see Gilbert and tell him I sent you
19:08
and he'll get you hooked up, I promise you.
19:09
But yeah, I'd buy it up front.
19:11
There's no I love leasing.
19:13
But if you're going to keep it ten years, it'll cost you more.
19:17
It takes years to learn all about buying or trading cars.
19:20
And chances are you haven't reached that year yet.
19:23
So called Jerry Reynolds, the car for at one eight hundred nine two six seventy seven seventy seven.
19:29
You know, Donald, I just want to scream out into this
19:32
canyon and tell the whole world, T-Mobile's got home internet.
19:36
T-Mobile's got home internet.
19:39
T-Mobile's got home internet.
19:43
Just thirty five bucks a month and it's guaranteed for five years.
19:50
T-Mobile's got home internet.
19:51
Just thirty five bucks a month with auto pay and any voiceline.
19:53
And it's guaranteed for five years.
19:56
Taxes of these applies.
19:57
T-Mobile.com slash ISP for details and exclusions.
20:00
This winter, know what your vehicle needs before it needs it.
20:03
Visit your Chevrolet certified service center and ask for a multi-point vehicle
20:07
inspection and take advantage of stackable rebates.
20:10
See dealer for complete details.
20:11
Multi-point vehicle inspections vary by participating dealer.
20:14
And welcome back to the car pro show with Jerry Reynolds, the car pro, this week's
20:30
newsletter story that may affect some folks in California.
20:34
Six automakers still bound by California emission laws.
20:38
This is, uh, um, I just had that a second ago.
20:42
BMW, Ford, Honda, Volkswagen, Volvo, and Stellantis complying with those targets.
20:48
Now, uh, President Trump eliminated, I guess the emissions, uh, act that they had
20:56
to follow much, not all of it, but pretty much.
20:59
So now these others still have a voluntary agreement.
21:02
Is that what I'm saying?
21:03
In Stellantis, the deal they made was the worst.
21:07
They have got to, I mean, for years.
21:10
California ruled emissions.
21:13
I mean, they had their own emissions and rather than all the automakers having
21:21
to have two different emission systems in cars that was going to California.
21:27
Cause there was, there was a time when there was such a thing as California
21:32
emissions, you'd see it on the winter sticker cars.
21:35
And then they made them uniform based on the California rules.
21:41
One of the problems the automakers are having is the switch between presidents
21:48
and the policies that follow, which are in about phase.
21:52
And, and so here we are.
21:54
You know, we went through the last administration with pushing
21:59
electric cars so hard and the $7,500 rebates and all the charging stations
22:07
that were supposed to be popping up and all that.
22:09
All the money spent on charging stations across the country.
22:13
You know, I mean, it just was the mandates of fuel economy for the future
22:20
that were, the automakers had to try to figure out how to hit and couldn't.
22:25
And then a new administration comes in and guts everything.
22:30
So, yeah, some of the automakers had made voluntary
22:35
deals with California and they're sticking to them.
22:42
And Stellantis is, is the one that there was no wiggle room whatsoever.
22:48
And they have to, they have to be a certain number in just a couple of years
22:52
that there's no way they can hit.
22:55
So I don't know where this is going, but we'll see.
22:59
Because if, if, if Stellantis, Dodge Crosser G Brown has to be at the number
23:05
that they agreed to be at, they, if they hold them to that,
23:12
they're going to, they're going to have a serious problem on their hands,
23:15
especially when Kim Kaneskas, who's the president of Dodge, who's been
23:21
on this show, he's bringing the Hemis back.
23:26
Yeah, that was great news.
23:27
He ain't taking fuel economy.
23:32
The Challenger electric car is great as it is.
23:36
And I almost leased one myself.
23:39
It's been a dud as far as sales.
23:43
You don't think of those two in the same vehicle.
23:46
So they're going back to Hemis.
23:47
Yeah, yeah, good for them.
23:49
This is going to be interesting to see.
23:52
Let's go to Wes in Wayne, Texas.
24:00
Hi, it's Winnie, Texas.
24:04
I know right where that is.
24:08
My question is this sometime between now and the end of the year,
24:12
probably the last week of December, I'm going to buy new or late models
24:17
used Corolla Crossover, Honda HRV or Wildcard Mazda CX-30.
24:24
Yeah, I'm I'm pretty confident that the first two will last 10 years,
24:29
200,000 miles plus.
24:32
How does a how does the Mazda CX-30 stack up to that as far as longevity
24:37
and reliability in your opinion?
24:39
I kind of don't think it's as good and I love Mazda.
24:42
But that particular one has had some issues through the years.
24:50
I think that's I think that's a little bit of a risky buy.
24:54
The Corolla Crossover is, you know, a Toyota Corolla, probably one of the best
25:01
cars ever made, especially in a compact.
25:04
And it took it to Corolla with an SUV body on it.
25:08
They call it an SUV.
25:09
I kind of don't think it is, but that's that's their business.
25:16
It's still a good car.
25:18
So it's the HRV has been great.
25:22
The HRV is one that I would, if I were you, I would certainly look at used
25:29
because they don't hold their value very well.
25:32
And untypical, untypical of a Honda.
25:36
Usually, Honda holds a value really well.
25:39
And I think some people just find it to be too small.
25:43
And it's when they're brand new West, it's not a very big leap up to
25:49
a CRV. So I think most people go to CRV and in HRV, sales are not great.
25:58
And when you get a vehicle that doesn't sell great new, it has lousy resale value.
26:03
So if you're looking used, lousy resales exactly what you want
26:09
because that's where the bargains are.
26:11
So, you know, personally, I'd tell you to go with a new Corolla
26:16
Cross because they're they're very well priced.
26:20
They've typically got some decent incentives on them, at least a low interest
26:25
grade, if not a rebate.
26:27
And everybody that I've talked to that had a Corolla Cross absolutely loved it.
26:31
Sets up a little bit better.
26:33
It's a little easier to get in and out of.
26:35
So I'd probably go with a new Corolla.
26:39
But if you can find a HRV with a good history report and low miles,
26:45
it's going to be cheap and you're going to save yourself a bunch of money.
26:50
Great. And quick comment about one of your car pro dealers.
26:53
I stopped into community Toyota this week to see in the back end
26:59
of the Corolla crossover how much room it has.
27:03
I told them up front, I was not buying a car today.
27:06
They treated me like I had $50,000 ready to spend.
27:12
Very polite, very helpful, very nice.
27:15
And that's where I'm going to get a car that or community Honda.
27:19
Yeah, those stores have been a real blessing, I got to say.
27:25
I've been so pleased with the way they treat my listeners there.
27:29
And they're just it's just a good organization.
27:33
And you find that with dealerships.
27:35
If if they have multiple dealerships of different brands,
27:39
there is a common denominator where they're all the same
27:44
from the standpoint of customer satisfaction and customer service.
27:48
And it flows through the service to after the sale.
27:52
So, yeah, that would be a great move for you when you're ready
27:56
to to buy from them.
27:58
I've been really impressed with them that we've only been with them
28:01
about six months, but man, have they done a good job.
28:06
Hey, can I make one more comment?
28:08
Yes, you and your your show.
28:12
I asked I asked Chat GPT about you guys
28:16
and they said you might get a better deal elsewhere,
28:20
but on average, the car pro dealerships, on average, will save you money.
28:26
I didn't know that.
28:29
I use Chat GPT myself.
28:32
I never checked myself.
28:35
How about that? Who knew?
28:37
Yeah. Now, it tells you right there, right there on the screen,
28:42
Chat GPT can make mistakes, but they got that one right.
28:46
That's right. Yeah.
28:48
If somebody wants to go out and shop one of my dealers
28:52
and try to beat them, their price by 100 bucks,
28:54
they're going to do that every single time.
28:57
It's going to take hours to do it.
29:00
And I don't know if it's worth that.
29:01
I appreciate that, Wes. Thank you.
29:03
Your trade could be worth a lot or not.
29:07
Find out which by calling Jerry Reynolds, the car pro at 1-800-926-7777.
29:24
In this week's newsletter,
29:25
it's a great article about keeping cool on the road.
29:28
It's heating up all over the place here in Texas.
29:31
Close to or over 100 degrees every single day.
29:35
Yeah, but it's been a it's been an OK August.
29:39
It's been OK. I mean, it's it's obvious.
29:41
So you expect it to be hot.
29:42
It's still summer. It's still summer.
29:44
With that, if you're taking a road trip
29:46
or just generally driving around in this heat,
29:49
there's some good tips on how to keep cool on the road.
29:52
Like a safety check, of course, you check your tires for the pressure.
29:56
And then one one thing I found interesting,
29:58
a friend of mine who works for an airline carrier
30:03
recommended this to me.
30:04
Filling your gas tank early morning or late night.
30:07
Yeah, because of the as the temperatures rise,
30:11
a gas becomes denser.
30:12
So you're going to get more bang for the buck
30:14
if you fill in the morning or night.
30:16
You get more gas for the same money.
30:17
I like that. Yeah, it's true.
30:19
Check it out. It's in the newsletter.

30:26
And let's go to Steve in Whittier, California.
30:31
Steve, welcome. How can I help you?
30:35
I, OK, this driver, I have a twenty twenty one
30:39
Duramax Chevy Silverado LTZ.
30:43
Yeah, and I'm going to order 20.
30:45
I'm going to order twenty six.
30:47
For some reason, the car won't smoke.
30:51
They say the monitor, one of the monitors won't run.
30:55
And then I know you don't.
30:57
How many miles you got on?
31:03
And the dealership wanted me to pay somebody to drive it
31:07
up to Big Bear, whether one hundred eight or five dollars an hour.
31:09
And then he said, maybe you have to go to a referee.
31:13
I bought two cars from this place.
31:17
The back story was I had scratched on the side of my truck
31:20
and I took it over there and took them two weeks to finish it.
31:22
And they say the data in the emissions fell off.
31:27
Don't know that either.
31:28
But anyway, I've been driving it since they get this thing taken care of.
31:33
You got to drive a certain cycle, slow, fast, up, down.
31:36
Yeah, right. I still don't have a smogged.
31:40
So when's it coming up to be?
31:44
To be I've already paid the tag.
31:45
I already paid the money. OK.
31:48
This has been going on since May.
31:50
In May, their small guy was gone, so I just took it over next door.
31:55
Can you mention the dealer?
31:56
Is that something wrong with that?
31:57
No, I don't I don't care.
31:59
Salmon Chevrolet and orange dealer.
32:02
I just don't understand why they're trying to make me or this one person.
32:07
And so now I'm driving it around and make sure there's enough mileage on it.
32:11
I'm going to go to the outside and have someone else.
32:13
So yeah, I'm a little tired of that.
32:14
But on the 2026, is there any now?
32:18
They don't make long beds in LTV.
32:22
You have to go to a high country.
32:24
Yeah, that's right.
32:25
That's exactly right.
32:26
Yeah, I did know that.
32:27
Actually, I ran across this recently.
32:30
Somebody was pulling up a fifth wheel that wanted LTV with a long bed
32:35
and found out you couldn't get it.
32:38
Now, why a 26 instead of getting a 2025?
32:45
Because they're not making 2025s.
32:47
And the ones that they have, they're all short bed.
32:51
He has trucks there, but everybody wants a short bed.
32:53
Yeah, that's right.
32:54
That's why they want to pull a trailer.
32:56
That's why they're great builders.
33:01
Yeah, but yeah, well, who knows what they're what they're doing,
33:05
but you can't pull a fifth wheel with a short bed.
33:08
You can, but you can get into problems.
33:10
Yeah, it could anyway.
33:11
It's going to whip.
33:15
Yeah, it's it's a yeah.
33:17
So I was wondering if you knew anything about the 26 is that they're a problem.
33:20
Of course, I want to get a little more horsepower, a little more torque.
33:23
Yeah, any problems that they ever fixed?
33:25
Probably without body, you know, Steve,
33:29
I mean, you're asking me about a vehicle that's not even out yet.
33:33
So I can't they just ordered it.
33:36
I can't know. I understand.
33:37
You know, you I can't know what I don't what I don't know.
33:43
So that's been historically, it's been a great engine.
33:47
The Duramax has I I have nothing but praise.
33:51
In fact, there's no bad engines in the diesels.
33:54
Whether it's a Ford or a Joe Mutter's product or a Ram from Stalantis,
33:59
they've all been good.
34:00
But the Duramax has been it's been good.
34:02
I'm sure it'll be fine. Good luck.
34:05

34:49

34:50
Don't get many accolades and they need them.
34:53
Yeah, what a great job.
34:54
They are them. They need them.
34:56
That's a good point, too.
34:58
Said he never felt pressured on trying to decide
35:00

35:27
responded to his contact request within minutes,
35:30
had the truck ready to test drive and inspect when I got there.
35:33
Offer on the trade in was generous unexpectedly.
35:37
He arranged for me to drive my new truck home
35:39
the same day to test it out.
35:42
