And not only are you accepting that they can share your information with anybody, but as

one listener, one guy found out, he gave away his rights to sue them.

Oh, I didn't think about that part.

Just the data sharing and selling is one thing, but giving up your right for suing them.

You agree to arbitration.

Wow.

That's interesting.

Yeah.

Yeah, you better be careful before you start clicking around like that.

Yeah, boy, this is an article you need to read seriously.

And there's ways around it and you can get through it, but every car is different and

you got to really pay attention to it.

I think they in the article, don't you you mentioned to about it?

If you want to go back and reverse that, you can.

Yeah, which is in which which is important to go read, too.

Oh, yeah, it is.

Absolutely.

Because this guy found out they were sharing the way he drove, where he went, how fast

he drove, if he was making quick stops and that sort of thing, if he was driving recklessly.

All that information is there.

That's crazy.

I know.

And you really don't want that out for the whole wide world to know, you know,

it's like your car is tattling on you.

It is.

Well, essentially, it is.

Love your show.

First time caller and I drive a 2018 F 150 love the Ford.

I've got about 200,000 miles on it.

I'm really interested in buying the F 150 new hybrid, never owned a hybrid before.

And I want to know your thoughts on it.

I've said it before here.

If I were going to buy a pickup today, if I were going to buy a new pickup,

it would be the F 150 power boost.

I love the mileage that you get.

Now, a lot of it has to do with the rear end and if you're going to be towing or

not, but I've got listeners swearing that they're getting 29 and 30 miles to the

gallon with an F 150, which is unbelievable.

Now, I suspect that they're really trying to get that mileage because when I

tested one, I think I've had that truck twice now.

And if you want to read about it, Mark at car pro dot com at the top, type in

power boost in the search engine and it'll pull up, it'll pull up my review.

I had it in, I had a 2025 King Ranch power base and I got, I think I was good.

I think I got 26 and I've got a pretty heavy foot, but I love the fact that

you can power your entire house with that truck if you want to.

And if you press it, it is.

And if you were in Frisco in 2021, when we had the famous ice storm, there was,

there was a lot of people using that power boost to make sure that they're,

they're, you know, they had heating and their refrigerator was running and all

that stuff that the hybrid system itself is seamless.

You won't know, you will not know whether you're running on hybrid or gasoline.

Unless you're looking at the gauge on the dash, it'll tell you if you want to

know what you're running on.

It'll show you a diagram that says you're running on gas and it's shooting

power to the battery, the hybrid battery, or it'll say you're running on the

hybrid battery, but by feel, you'll never suspect it.

It just, it's like any other car and, but yet you get, you're getting that

knowledge and you've got that power back there that, you know, with a built-in

inverter, so you can power up anything you want to power up.

I think it's, I think it's brilliant.

I'm surprised no other truck makers have come out with anything close to this.

Well, I'm pretty sure I'm going to go that route and I appreciate your

information. Do you have a dealership in the Dallas or Frisco area that I can go

see? I do. I've got five-star Ford on George Bush Turnpike right there at

Independence, George Bush and Independence.

Beautiful dealership.

Okay.

He, he worked for me for, I don't know, probably 20 years when I had my Ford

dealership in Dallas, Fort Worth.

How can I help you, sir?

Hey, good morning, still.

This is Aga John and I'm a first time caller over here.

Oh, it's good to have you, Jerry.

Awesome.

Thank you.

So my question, my question is I'm trying to look for the market in the car

and I'm trying to see your opinion if Lincoln Natalie would be a right choice.

Just throwing cons for that look.

Oh, I love the Nautilus.

I tell you, I've reviewed it, I don't know, three, four times now.

And every single time I have it, I just fall in love with it.

And you know what it is for me?

I got it's it's the seats.

The seats are the absolute most comfortable seats I've ever sat in period.

And I've been in some I've been in SUVs that cost four times what that one does.

And the seat aren't as comfortable as that thing is.

It's just it's just crazy.

And there's like 32 adjustments for both front passengers for the passenger

and the driver.

But the thing that makes the difference for me is.

Thigh supports, you can raise and lower where your thighs are, just

let's say close to your knees.

You can raise them and lower that on each side.

So if if you're driving and let's say you're taking a trip

and your back kind of starts to hurt or your legs start to hurt, you can raise

that thigh support.

It's got massage heated and cool seats,

power lumbar for the for the small of your back.

I mean, it's just one of the most comfortable and not to mention

it's visibly a beautiful SUV.

I love the way it looks and quality.

I think I think quality is is absolutely top notch.

It's a good choice.

And what about the maintenance and the parts after?

Soft like that, would that be expensive or no, it's not.

And most four dealers can work on it if you need to go to a dealership.

But it's actually pretty simple.

I mean, they've all got the EcoBoost engine.

They do make a plug in hybrid, which I don't think I've tested.

But I like plug in hybrid.

If you've got a short commute every day, a plug in hybrid will save you

a ton of money, but the regular hybrid is the EcoBoost and it's been around

now for 15 years and it's been a great engine, plenty of horsepower,

but good gas mileage and it's hard to get good gas mileage in a heavy SUV.

And the Nautilus is heavy and you feel the heaviness in the ride.

Which is which is good.

That's what that's really if you want a soft luxury vehicle ride.

Nautilus is actually I put it.

I'd say it rides better than a Cadillac Escalade, just as a comparison.

So yeah, I think I think if you're looking for a luxury SUV.

Man, I tell you what, it's top notch.

I think the decision you got to make is whether to go hybrid plug in hybrid

or regular gas engine.

And once you get that figured out, then the rest is going to be easy

because I've never helped anybody get a Nautilus that didn't absolutely love it.

I mean, absolutely love it.

Do you know if Ford or Chevy makes a non sedan that's maybe $35,000 to $40,000 used,

if necessary, but I know no preferably used that that is quality.

I mean, I don't think I can afford a Nautilus, but that certainly sounds great.

But a little bit bigger than the sedan and is there anything really that's good?

That's quality.

That's not a sedan.

Yeah, I'm a little unclear.

Is do you are you wanting a sedan or you would you rather have an SUV?

SUV, OK, non sedan.

Yeah, OK, yeah, I gotta tell you, the Ford Explorer has been just an outstanding SUV

since since 2020 and at 40,000 with the rebates right now, you're not that far

off from getting one of those brand new.

Now, it's not going to be a top of the line.

It's going to be, you know, just XLT nicely equipped, but not fancy.

The Chevy Blazer, if you don't need a third row seat.

Don't need it.

The third the Blazer has been fantastic.

It's it's wonderful.

And I'm tickled to death that Chevrolet changed their mind because they were going

to go all electric with the Blazer and not offer a gasoline alternative.

And they luckily changed their mind.

And so the gas when lives on, I think the electrical and may die.

But we'll see.

That's been a very, very good, solid SUV.

The Ford Edge was another one that was a great one.

It's gone now.

But if you're going used, look at an edge, SEL or ST.

It truly was one of the best SUVs on the road.

No troubles with them.

Right, a really nice ride and drive and good gas mileage, considering it was

a pretty good size, midsize SUV.

So if you're looking for a Ford or Chevy, go go with those

and see what you can find out there used.

with this story that's in the newsletter regarding an LA Honda dealership

where a woman was trying to do a deal for a, it's a 2022 BMW X five.

And apparently she put down some money, the deal didn't follow through.

Basically fell apart and the dealership, she was trying to work

with them to get financing and get a co-sign and just figure out

how this is going to be financed.

Yeah.

Meantime, the dealership didn't have any patients.

They said, well, we're going to call the police on you.

They did say that she stole the vehicle.

They show up.

They put her in handcuffs, back of a patrol car for two hours at gunpoint.

She's got the lawsuit of a century.

She's going to break it.

She'll buy whatever car she wants.

After all, this is said.

Well, I mean, whatever her name is, that's going to be the new

name of the dealership.

That's right.

It's an interesting story in the news section.

I was I was I was kind of blown away with that that a that a car dealer

could be that stupid to because not only has he got her to deal with.

Greatness right there.

That is just amazing.

He's got the payment for it.

Hello, Paul. Welcome to the Car Pro Show.

Hi, Jerry. How are you?

I'm good, buddy.

OK, so I I have a 2014 Cayenne

with 180,000 miles on it.

So it's a little long in the tooth right now.

Yeah.

The only issue is I put in oil every couple of hundred miles,

but I love the ride.

But it's time and I'm on the one on one freeway.

And I see every SUV and they all kind of look great.

My wife said, just pick one or two and I'll go with you.

And I don't know what where to go.

And I do have Tesla batteries, so I can charge.

But there's so many out there.

There is. That's a fact.

The only one that's test driven is this boardage,

which I thought was wonderful.

But I don't I don't want to miss something that you say is great.

Well, I'm driving.

I'm reviewing the Sportage plug in hybrid right this minute.

And I I am blown away how much I like this SUV.

I really am.

And when you get the plug in hybrid, which would be great for you,

since you've already got a charger,

you get 34 miles of range on pure electric.

And this one replenishes the electric car battery

from the gasoline engine.

Most of them you have to charge.

Now, it's a slow process, but you could go cross country

on this, switching from gas to electric and back and forth.

And there's a button on the center console so that you can do that.

And and that's that's an unusual setup.

But with the plug in, Paul, you also get extra horsepower.

This thing is lightning fast.

And I'm it's quiet inside.

Now, it's not going to give you the ride that you're look that you're used to

in that kind and and that's the only concern that I have.

I can tell you that that I I can't tell you.

But I believe that you would be deeply disappointed with the RAV4

coming out of a Cayenne.

And I've had I've had I've owned the Cayenne myself.

My last car before the Mercedes GLE that I've got now.

It's my wife's actually.

But the car I had before that was a Cayenne.

I love the ride.

I love the handling.

I loved everything about it.

I don't think the RAV4 is going to give you that.

I think the Sportage is going to come close.

And this one's got a wind sticker, a forty nine grand, and it's got

everything in the world on it.

I really kind of think that's your answer.

You know, that's where I was kind of leaning toward.

But with my Cayenne, you think one hundred eighty have gotten the

useful life out of it.

Oh, you've done so much better than anybody I've ever heard of.

And, you know, look, I love I love Porsches.

I've had, I don't know, I had that Cayenne.

I had a Taycan electric.

I had a Panamera that I loved.

But the truth is, you know, after a hundred thousand miles,

typically you start running into problems and they're expensive to repair.

With that Sportage, you're going to get the ten year hundred thousand

mile warranty from Hyundai.

And I'm telling you, it this thing is a true joy to drive.

I've really been blown away this week.

But to answer your question, you're you're past the expected

life of that Cayenne.

And if you keep going, you're probably going to run into a major

expense to keep it going.

I would trade it while it's still doing fine.

It's got some value right now.

If you let that engine go bad or you get a transmission problem,

the the value is gone.

Actually, almost word to word, what my mechanic said.

Yeah, he's telling you right.

I'm telling you.

I I the sport.

Go ahead.

The sport. It's been great.

Is there anything else I should look at?

Boy, nothing comes to mind right off the bat.

The Buick Envision is awfully nice.

It just comes as a gasoline vehicle.

But it's got a nice ride.

I'll give it that.

And it's going to be less money.

You might consider that.

But I've got I've got three really great key dealers

spend some time in that Sportage plug in and see what you think.

Boy, coming out of the Cayenne, I think that's your best bet.

I'm sorry, the vehicle award winners for five of the six winning vehicles

had MSRPs below 40 grand, including two below $30,000.

That's kind of flies in the face of the standard that most of,

I guess the industry's gone to about $50,000 for a standard.

Oh, that's the average now.

Yeah, so there's a little over.

Yeah, exactly.

So there's some good choices there trying to keep the value of the car

at a reasonable rate and again, of course, not pay top dollar.

It's a good thing to go check out the Edmunds dot com 2026 top rated

vehicle award winners in the new section of this week's newsletter.

I like Edmunds, too.

I like their reviews.

They, they and I are very, I give more detail than they do,

but as far as the end result, you're aligned with a pretty good.

Yeah.

If they like a car, it's typically a car that I've liked.

Yeah.

And so we're, we're kind of, we're kind of some pateco.

I've been listening to you all for years and I always get some very great

information from y'all.

I just wanted to let you, I drive a 2007 Toyota Sequoia.

I got 445,000 miles has no transmission issues.

I think right now I'm feeling a tug in my transmission lately, but 445,000.

I'm still rolling, man.

Oh, Derek, that is awesome.

I love to hear that.

I love those stories.

And, you know, there is a common denominator typically when I hear,

when I hear of somebody getting 400, 500,000 miles out of a car, there's two things.

Usually it's a Toyota and they, whoever I'm talking to has been really,

really good about their maintenance.

Oh, yeah.

Every 3,000, 5,000, I'm going to get all changed, tire rotation.

I mean, everything that I need, I do it.

I have to do it.

So, yeah, 445,000, man.

We're still going strong.

All right.

So when it finally gives up and just lays down on you,

what are you going to get next?

Toyota.

I had a feeling you'd say that.

I'll tell you what, this new Sequoia that came out a couple of years ago,

man, that thing is nice.

Oh, my goodness, it's nice.

Oh, yeah.

So you'll be in great shape if you decide to get another one.

Of course, I'll get you a deal on one over at Freeman Toyota when you're ready.

Oh, yeah.

Yeah.

It's crazy.

I know it's crazy, but I mean, you got to be a different kind of person to keep one that long.

That's right.
