This is professional. Radio has front wheel drive.
But have you got anyone you want to think?
Just myself and now we'll do the after.
Hours. Gentlemen, what would you do
for? Thanksgiving there.
OK. And because there's not a
supercar, there is. It's not order ready.
Perfection comes in the form of two letters A&E.
Long live my Ltd. Well, the Car Talk gets to
choose the right here in April 9 NW FM.
It's Being Mary Jane online with Mr. David Prince and Mr Edward
Bunting. How are you, gentlemen?
Good evening all. Good evening, Will.
Thank you. Good to see your lovely faces.
Big topic tonight. Big topics tonight at Classic
Classic Japan is gonna say classic not Japan, which is which is what we got. Still got organiser.
We haven't done our We haven't. Haven't had already, didn't I?
No, we've we've had, we've all had a bit on I think, but we have left to left to sort something out.
But let's get straight into some updates, gentlemen.
David Prince updates with you, my friend.
Well, I had a great weekend as we'll discuss it in much more depth in little while you're with Classic Japan.
I took the my 1971 Honda Scam LN360 which is the panel van version. Bit of the theme this year was
commercial vehicles, vans and nuts and things, so that fitted in nicely. So I had it.
Couple of little bits and pieces checked over a couple of weeks beforehand. It's gonna need master cylinder
soon, but it's not. It's just starting to weep and
Tyrod ends too. It's always been a bit woolly in
the steering, that car. So I had to, I might look over
it and and I was up for doing the doing reconditioning the steering rack, which I've done in the other two cars I had and he said no, I think it's in the Tyrod end.
So my son was able to find some Tyrod ends online in Japan, brand new ones. So about 160 bucks for the pair.
So yeah, that would be, we'll see if that makes a difference.
But that went like a little train all the way there and back. We're a little, not so much a
trying as much as a nice vintage Seiko watch that works every time. Ended up on your wrist.
Yeah. So that was great.
Caught up with a lot of people, quite a lot of people through social media that I've never met before.
So it's funny when people come up to you and say, you scared me, Princess. You don't buy your Instagram
handle like you've never met them before.
I said yes. Some people call me.
That that is me. That's me so well, yeah.
Caught up with a few people I hadn't met before, which.
Was great. Either that, or the week before
I actually took an active for a drive.
I've been anchoring for a bit of an active or having a go in one anyway to see if I really need one.
And while I probably don't really need one, it was a really cool poor little car. So inactive for those that don't
know is the little pay Honda Honda K truck, millions and millions of them in Japan. But now they're coming under the
new import regulations as in the environmental the basically the cars with little engines or hybrid or electric cars.
So there was 1 facade just around the corner from me 2015 in that really nice colour. The best way I can describe the
colours, French racing blue which on an active sounds totally incongruous really and on every level but but yeah it having the turbo on the N1 with the 660CC engine it certainly makes a difference and I found that the non turbo 660 was not quite in the same league. So and obviously being a forward
control van you are sitting over the front wheels, literally sitting over the front wheels. So a little forward cab sort of
track set set up that is. But a lot of fun but probably
don't need to add it to the collection just yet.
But yeah, great, great fun little car and I can see why there is popular as they are. Did they ever bring out the
turbo version of that in the active Don't?
Think they did. And I think when we were in
Japan recently, I think when we were at the Honda dealership there's only one version of the N van that comes with the turbo too. Two as well.
But no, I'm pretty sure they didn't mighty car mods did a big thing of putting us to a charger on their K truck.
I think it's the Suzuki carry and yeah I can see why you do it. It would make a big difference
but but yeah so I I had driven one of the earlier ones which was at 3 T 360 Ed 9 went had a look at one up in the country of product tour radio months ago now and that was very slow.
This wasn't as slow. This is very cool, but quite
pedestrian, yes. You did, and that was one of one
of the first incarnations when the cars were much smaller.
So over the years that case class has actually grown in the physical size or the dementia permissible dimensions and it really showed up in this this later model and I drove.
It was really quite good in the cabin and it was perfectly comfortable. You gotta think too like like I
was just comparing to the Honda City.
My Honda City is a is a 1.2, you know, 1200 CC.
This is half that. That's exactly right.
There really is a very small motor.
Office, it's not half the speed half.
The no, it's not half the speed, but it still is a is a small capacity engine and without a turbo, you know.
It's sort of load from. It's weird that they've done
that without like you think they're just the fact they're gonna turbo version of that engine.
They just use it like it's just so weird.
Japanese are weird in there, in their their methods with things.
But yeah, the fact that it's there ready to go, you know, and they just all have to do is just, you know put it on.
Yeah I found that out and I find it a bit, a bit weird that they don't because those polar ranges have to all the Rev the little lungs out while you know turbo would have been more talking have to do that, you know and and and the money that you're having on fuel, you're not really saving on fuel anyway.
So that's right, cause you're ringing it out.
Perfect. So yeah, it's it's a bit it's a
bit weird but but yeah, I mean Honda, I mean that's a current shape on there. The one you went you drove right
like that's that's a was that like?
That well, actually they don't make the Acti trucks anymore.
They stop making them in about 25th, 2020, I think 2021 or something like that. So they only make the van now.
Oh, well, actually the End series has taken over so that effectively don't have a little trade truck that got vans now, yeah. It's just weird because like,
I'll get through my card like weird little things sometimes.
And the fact that they didn't, they didn't put the turbo on that. No, I mean, I don't think any
other manufacturers do a turbo. Hey, look, What?
Why wouldn't you do it? I I just don't.
I don't. I don't get it.
I don't get it. No.
Maybe it's just some more chill nation and they don't need to get places in his bathroom hurry as we do.
Maybe that's it. But you think, especially
especially with a little train track, like if you make it into like a little tipper or something, you gotta be proud to get up hills with all the lone got.
So, so I mean, it's not more about the power for me.
It's more about like getting out of your own way and and getting stuff. That's how you know it's like
going backwards. So yeah, interesting.
Idea and I just got an email today from Raise My city is actually going through Grace. There's a bit of a test and it's
ready to go live, so that should be up in the next week or so, which will be interesting. I might put a bid on it.
Thank you. That'll be good.
If everybody could put a bid on it, that would be great.
All aliases, that'd be great. Thanks very much.
If I end up with it by doing a help you bid, I won't be very happy. So back to him.
Does it have a reserve, David? No, No reserve.
Brave. Brave move.
I might get it for 1200 bucks. You might.
You might. I doubt it, but you might.
Those were the doctrines of Mr Scotty Johnson.
How are you going? I'm pretty good.
Sorry I'm a bit late. So I've got well, I've got
reasons that I can talk about when it's my turn for car update. OK.
Really good reasons. We'll get to you in a second,
David. Anything else on your end of
things? Well, that's, that's pretty
much. I think that is it.
The other thing is I've I've had a good week working on some oddball stuff I worked on and 1927 Bentley, it was like a a Speed 6, that's what it was at Bentley Speed 6.
That was cool. My job was to make the 70 year
old leather look like the brand new leather that had been put in it, but not look like it has been painted.
So not like sort of make it look normal, but new.
Wouldn't be the new leather bit look old?
Yeah, probably. A lot of the new upholstery
Leathers though is that they have top coats in them which have a lot of silicon in them and sort of any soil sort of things in them and it doesn't like paint sticking to it.
So you can do everything you like and they look fantastic.
The seats were done, beautifully done.
So the last thing I wanted to do for this car that had a brand new leather seats was make, it was painted, put sort of paint on the brand new leather seats. So we just brought the rest of
it up to sort of look more like it it should but the owner was very happy with that. So that was good.
And then the next job was a a brand new Hyper Blue.
I think I sent it around the chat.
Brand new Hyper Blue cells, 63 bins, which I hadn't seen that model before. I said is it are these brand
new? He said.
Oh no, we've delivered 3, so not a huge volume seller for the.
Model That's a new SL isn't. It's just brand new.
Range fingers SL and I took a photo of the car and they were saying I said I love the colour, it's amazing.
It's very Mercedes Benz, see on an index cell of the sort of early 90s probably, but it was actually a real peacocky blue green colour. But in the photos it looks blue
and they said and I said. That isn't that funny, he said.
Yeah, it doesn't photograph. The colour doesn't photograph,
he said. We actually tried all the guys
in the workshop, all the different brands of phones and cameras and everything. It all came up blue.
You didn't see the green element to this in the photo, bit like.
You you communicate, you'd be communicating that to clients wouldn't. You would you would.
You would need to be doing that. Specials pretty special being
kit that Carly look it looked it was pretty.
Flash, Yeah. And it actually had a.
White. I quite liked the look.
Someone said it's a four door. No, it's not a four door.
Someone said it's a it's a nine, one Mercedes 911 or something because it's got the arse. Soft top too.
Quite like that car. That was probably the biggest
look at my car I've seen in a long time.
After I get my pagoda and I'm sort of, I sort of wear it out and I'm a bit sick of it. Upgrade to that maybe?
Yeah, True. True.
Yeah. What is that?
There's three of them to choose from in Melbourne so far, say I think that's me. Mr Bunting.
First of all, Jay, yeah, question.
Japan was good. I took the Honda City.
I didn't know there was a commercial theme for that event.
I I didn't read that anywhere. Well, no, I was just told I was
actually asked to bring the L in because because she did.
The theme that I think that's more evident, the fact you weren't asked, is because not many people realise that the cities did actually come in as a commercial vehicle.
But I've just didn't. I didn't.
Yeah, I didn't know they did that event.
I mean, there's a hell of a lot of non commercial stuff there.
That's true. There were.
There weren't. Yeah, but the city, I mean
ironically it is a commercial vehicle.
It's got a sticker on the book that says Max payload 300 kilos.
So even though it had the rear seats, it has the rear seats in it. They were folded down.
So none of this I knew fitted the thing.
So there you go. It's sort of off blended in
nicely there. Bunting already being a
trendsetter and he doesn't even know it.
Story of my life Matt. So what else can we talk about
Car wash as I sold the Subaru Impreza that went to a nice it's not a first car for someone. I think it's the second car for
someone but that I put it online on a Saturday morning nothing on the Saturday, nothing on the Sunday.
Nothing on the Monday And I thought oh God have I priced it right, you know And then on the Tuesday, Bamba bam, bam, bam.
I had I think 123, probably 4 inquiries on the Tuesday 1st come to see it, you know bought it and at at exactly what I was asking because I had a lot of other interests and I'm kind of like, well yeah, I kind of need to get what I'm asking if you're going to grab it. Otherwise I got someone at 6:00
tonight and I got someone tomorrow and so that was popular. The little BMW compact hasn't
been quite as popular. However, in the last few days
I've had some interesting messages on.
It I was hoping you were going to get down.
To this, I'd like to read you a couple of them.
I like these interesting messages, Scotty.
This is real pardon. So you gonna strip yourself in
for some more humans? If you read it, I might have.
Read. We were hanging out.
We heard at the Classic Japan it was, it was, it was happening live. There's an essay.
Here we go. I'm interested in the 1995 BMW 3
Series E36 Auto at your dealership and I'd like more information on potential issues. Could you provide details on and
I'll try and read this like they do in the commercials where they do it really fast because otherwise we'll be here all bloody night. Any known leaks, Areas affected
in recent repairs, cooling system, current condition, instances of overheating and history of the water pump?
Thermostat, Cooler repairs? Idle control valve?
Any issues or recent inspection? Replacement?
Mass air flow sensor? Map, sensor condition?
Any related performance issues? Fuel system?
Fuel system performance? Any problems with the fuel pump,
injectors or starting ignition system?
Any misfires? Rough running recognition?
Component inspections, placements, Oxy sensor, Signs of failing Oxy sensor, last inspection or replacement date transmission, any issues with shifting, slipping, recent maintenance or repairs. Did you respond with?
I'm not a mechanic, but the car is good.
That sounds good. Just respond with thumbs up.
So my response was, hi, insert name of person.
That's quite a list you've prepared said I'm happy to jump on call and tell you everything that I know about the car.
But of course you're welcome to come and see it and go through all the receipts that are in the glove box of all the work that's been done to it since it was four years old.
Plus there's a fully stamped service book as well.
So give me a call when you're free.
And do you think I oh, then there was a follow up.
How many owners? Yeah, that's true.
And but I haven't received a phone call, of course, because that's not what normal people do.
Stick an inquiry ahead. I like this one.
Hi there. I'm interested in your ad.
That was it. It's like I said to someone
that's like me walking up to a a boy in a bar or something and saying hi, I'm I'm interested in you, and then just walking.
Off. Yeah, like.
What do you want me to do with that do?
Am I meant to chase you or, you know, like generally you'd ask some questions or would you say, are you available?
When can I come and see the vehicle, you know or can I arrange a test drive? Or you know, there's there's
generally something following up there.
I'm interested. OK.
I mean, I wanna win Tattslotto too, but you've sort of got to go and buy the ticket and so. That carried fertilised where
Edward. Sales is car sales.
Wow. OK.
But then I received a text this morning from the same person and they said good morning. This is the one who said I'm
interested. So I I just said, yeah, call me,
you know, like here's my number. Don't tell us, they said.
I'm still interested. Good morning.
Regarding your Alaska Blue 316I seems to tad overpriced $500 or more and they sent the industry price guide.
You know thing, am I right in and reserving?
It? Doesn't even have alloy wheels,
so I'm guessing it's not fully optioned or top specifications.
God. You Animal Aid.
So I said. Good morning.
No, it's not fully optioned. It has metallic paint and a
sunroof and other than that it's standard.
Feel free to come and see it and make me an offer.
It's like, like, what do I do? Like this is just that.
So that's been the joy of the fortunately, everyone who inquired on the Subaru was very normal, and everyone who's inquired on the BMW is seemingly not normal.
Maybe that is something about the brand.
I've no. I've got a theory, Edward and
and gentlemen you know please tell me I'm an idiot if you think this is true. But, but I I believe people are
genuine about buying cars. Like average person that's
buying, let's say a newish car. I mean, what is that Super 2010
when you have? Superior was 05.
OK, five, you know, still relatively new and they'll be like, well, there after a car. They're not gonna kick you
around. But people don't ask.
Something a bit more obscure like that will be.
We'll send you messages like that.
On the crazies. How come the crazies, as you, as
you would say so, could be a theory or it could be, it could be reality, I don't know. But I was it when I had that
Renault 16, well, I've had a I can't say that I've had millions, but specific one of my Reno sixteens.
It was the white one that my brother had for a while that I sort of put on the road. I tried to sell that before I
sort of spent some more money on it and took it up to my brother's place. And I had quite a few crazies
come and look at that. And one of them he rocked up,
walked down the driveway. He just said can I take some
photographs of it? And I said sure.
So he got out an actual like a Pentax SLR old school camera, snapped photographs of various things around the car, and then he said thank you. And then he left.
And that was it. And I was like, what he's
thinking. Are you interested in the car or
what? What?
I just don't understand it maybe.
Doing a school project. Where we was a bit old to be
doing a school project, but who knows?
I mean. People are very strange.
That that was the one school. He was like 110 and he kept
going back. Yeah, it could be.
It could be that. It could have been that yeah
school project. Hopefully it was a school
project on Apple guard design and wonderful French flair or something like that. Cold French culture.
Yeah, yeah, Yeah. So car wash, car wash, cars.
There's another car, there is a car on the wings that I've mentioned to a couple I won't mention here because I'm a bit of a surprise for someone. So we'll keep that off the
record for the minute. The Civic that I had did sell at
Graze didn't get what I wanted for it, but the little 74 two door has gone to a new home. The Yaris is in getting.
I took that to the panel shop so had the, you know, a bit of the roof painted and the front bumper and what have you and the mirror caps are related. So I had them done.
So it looks it, it does look very tidy now.
It's not quite as good as I'd like.
In the front bar sort of area but you know it's a yeah it's it's a run around car. It's not a not a Bentley Speed 6
like David. So it'll be an everything before
you know it ended. Yeah, exactly right.
Hopefully Uber eats its way to my house with some goodies.
So that's in the mechanic at the moment just getting an oil change and a roadworthy and then I will advertise that I did order new number plates for it which arrived which is the same number but just new cause you know the the front one was dinged and crinkle crinkled and the back one, it was all peely and I just thought, no, it needs needs a fresh plate on it what else can I tell you? Ohe Mazda 6.
Here's an interesting story. So my friend down the road who
had the Mazda 6 sport luxury in red love lovely car went overseas 6 months ago, left it outside of his parents house, finally decided he's not coming back anytime soon so needs to sell it. I said cool, I'll help you sort
of get it organised. So of course I take it and they
put a new battery in it. The parents had and they put a
new battery in the remote as well.
But it the remote was doing nothing, like no locks at all were working on it. So I talked to you, Maddie,
about it and you said oh that's very common, It's the body control module usually blah blah blah.
It's expensive. Sure enough, yes, it was the
body control module. I put it into the auto
electrician and yeah, he traced it to blocked sunroof drain channels that of course let waters go down into where it shouldn't get, which is where the body control module is.
So that shorts that out and floods it and then and then it doesn't work and then you got to get a new one.
Now a new one is 1500 bucks from Mazda plus labour to do it all.
So that would have been quite pricey but thankfully a second hand one was located which was like 330 bucks from a wrecker and still still an $1100 repair. You know, like not cheap is this
labour and pulling stuff part in diagnosing and, you know, and GST and all that. But yeah, better than it could
have been. So moral of the story, don't
park cars under trees number one.
And if you do, you gotta clean out those sunroof drains very regularly. From 2000 onwards you need to
check your BCM if you're having locking issues.
Hmm, I I said to you. BCM Edward.
You said it straight off. Yeah, straight away.
Wow. Well, first when he rang me, he
said, oh, it's just the connections are a bit corroded.
I think we'll be OK. And then he rang me back to me
and it's more than that. You know, the the day before you
told me that story the I had coffee with a a relation who has the same car. Oht Yeah Same, yeah.
Yeah, and she got out of the car and locked it with the key.
And I thought, oh, that's old, why wouldn't you just?
You. But you must ask her, is it?
Is it? Is the central locking still
working? It's probably just the battery,
yeah, but if if it's just the drivers door that's working and none of the other doors. But the thing in that car is
it's an electric boot release. So I couldn't even get into the
boot. And I said to the my mate, the
owner, look, we we can't sell this car with lots of working like this year anyway. So the plus side is the mechanic
who did the rodeo on it. Our friend down the road, he,
he's put something in touch with me who, who may well be interested, came to drive it and everything.
He's going to let me know tomorrow, so if I don't have to advertise it or help advertise it, that would be good.
What else? What else?
On another plus side in the mechanic where David you recommend. Or.
Yeah, you know the guy, I think that, but it was your Dalek who was recommended to me. So where it went?
They also repair cars and do normal servicing and stuff and up on the wall when I was standing in the workshop, and it's an old school workshop, you know, I like it.
It's got grease and things around and a nice pitched roof and I felt very at home in there.
But up on the wall they had some BMW hubcaps for any 36 that still had the the Roundell BMW badge in the middle of them, cause on my little compact a couple of them are the middle bit gone. I said oh what are you, what are
you doing with those hubcaps? Said, oh you can have them.
So he had three that he gave me and I've replaced the ones on the BMW that were missing. So now it's got all BMW Rondells
all round. I mean that's got away value
doesn't it? For the crazies, surely.
It looks to be having a hubcap, not an Lol.
It must be fully optioned. It doesn't appear.
That option? It's a three.
One fucking six. I make like it's the most base
BMW you can buy of that year. Like there was no lower model.
Isn't it? No, it's got power windows.
Windows. On our power windows and a
sunroof. Sunroof and it's got sunroof.
Well, it's got three options, Automatic sunroof and metallic paint. There your three options anyway.
I don't know what you're expecting on A3165, but wow, So that's my car updates. I think nothing more than that.
Scotty. Alright, me, we'll start off
with what was just going on before.
While I'm a little bit late, my brother was leaving work from the car park and someone smashed into the front of his car.
Alkazi got. That's the Toyota Orion talking,
and they hit it actually so hard that the cars moved out of the parking spot. They drove home.
Well the good thing is they did leave their details and then someone else that witnessed it also put down the cars details.
The stupid thing is, the person that hit it just left their name and number and write down my brother's number plate for some reason on it. But the other person that
witnessed it wrote down the time and everything and the car, so it was a Nissan Patrol that hit him.
Oh yeah. So someone that doesn't know how
to park or drive and just floored it.
I don't know how you kid it that hard.
That's completely moved the car. Well, the whole front bumper.
So I was talking to my brother and I said, you know, he's leaking anything, anything dripping, nothing at all.
And he goes, I don't know if I can drive it.
He showed me the front and I go, yeah, just rip off the front bumper. You'll be all good.
I was already nearly all the way off it would have been.
We would have ended up running over it.
But what did you do? Put it in the boot.
Yeah, he checked it in the car so I'd rip it off.
Um, he did that. And then the fog lights were
dangling and I said just wrap them around the Rio bar on the front. And you should go up.
Yeah, it should be fine. And then just Chuck the front
bumper in the car. I mean, they're going to scrap
that front bumper anyway, but it's got your number plate and stuff on it, so it's got your number plate and stuff on it.
So drive that home and seems to be OK.
So chasing up insurance now? Just pain in the butt.
Alright, back to me personally. What's going on?
So I met David and Ed at Classic Japan.
Not in the R 31, No. No.
Yes, unfortunately, but I have been smashing out a few extra bits and pieces so White Line had a sale during Black Friday.
They had 30% off so I bought some upper and lower trailing arm, trailing arm bushes for the rear.
I knew they mentioned trailing arm, but they didn't mention if it was upper or lower or anything.
Just do it. Mostly just do the.
Exactly what I did. So I think the uppers, they were
a little bit annoying to get out.
The uppers, not too bad, they're easy to push in the new ones, the original still looked alright.
There was no cracks or anything in it, but obviously replaced all that. Then it came to the lowers that
dropped out very easily. They were easy to remove, take
off those two bolts. Could not get them out.
It's really old school. It's UM.
The rubbers were completely demolished, all cracked and everything. They're gone, but the
interesting thing is I couldn't get it out.
Seems to have like a metal casing inside that needs to be pressed out, while the new ones that I've got, there's no metal casing, it will just push straight in.
So luckily there's a guy at Dad's work, since it's all machinery and stuff there. They had a press there, so Dad
took those into work for me, pressed out the old ones and pressed in the new ones, and I slapped those on.
So it's got new upper and lower trailing arms.
Every single Bush on that car is brand new, from front to rear, something. Nothing is all brand new and at
the moment just finish off near the back of the muffler.
I've just got some stuff to patch up some little rust holes, so just got some stuff to brush off the old rust on it, spray it, wrap it with some muffler. Um, bandage.
Yeah, and then I can spray over that and big tick.
Done. No, there has to be nothing
else. I think annoys me is dimensions
rear discs, but they are so fine there's nothing wrong with them.
There's not even let you know. Usually you can.
Say there might be undersized. Usually start to feel a lick on
it though if it becomes. Obvious mean.
They measure, they do measure, and they look at the size.
Yeah, the pads are fantastic. I mean, I really just one that
would be would be cheap anyway. You just be like, you know what?
They can't pick on me for anything at this point.
I've done everything, so you know, it might be worth just putting like you know, you you get it, You get a separate to 80 bucks. I guarantee it.
Yeah, just something basic on the rears and that'll do.
I'm not even bothering with doing rear pads.
It looks like there's tonnes of meat on them.
Yeah, yeah. And yeah, that's that's it.
There's, there's, there's nothing else.
Everything to do with safety tick.
It's more safer than any other cars on the road.
Front and rear suspension or brand new shocks, brand new springs, brand new. Everything has to.
I think it's fair to say a club club plate for that car is imminent. Make it happen, Scotty.
Pick it up and. Super close.
She finally had five weeks, six weeks off coming up.
Yeah. Yeah, that gives me plenty of
time. Not many places are open, though
they do close. No push it.
But yes, I want to get it in, get it done.
But you have to. Unfortunately life got in the
way so couldn't get done for classic Japan, but you know.
Maybe, I think not. Japan.
End of January. Hmm.
Has to be done by then. Yeah, sure.
There's there's nothing left for me to do or to wait on or to save up for to buy. Yeah.
It's done. It's ready to roll.
Nice. What's next, Maddie Jay?
Updates with me. So my Typhoon went in for new
tyres and a service on Thursday last week, so drive that in there and they they they said yeah, the car is really, really good. The rear main is starting to get
a little bit worse. I knew there was a weep that's
been there for a while, but he's like, look it, It is what it is.
He's like if you want to do it, you change the clocks and stuff and he's like to be honest, you're not driving.
It's not, it's not leaking anywhere else.
So he's like, I wouldn't personally worry about it.
I just, you know, just just keep an eye on it.
But it did say the the lower ball joints and upper control arm bushes ahead worn out. They're just they're just
starting to crack because of age.
So he's like look just replace him.
So I ordered this. I ordered some of those through
work and he told me to go genuine for the ball joints cause he's like after Michael Ball joints for Falcon down.
Great. So I ordered 2 genuine ones for
forward there. Did you go in That would be
going back on Tuesday and that would be done so that's the typhoon done for my service month and then it's got then once I get the scan back hopefully soon I can start doing what the other the other cars one by one.
Another update was a big one for my mom.
This this afternoon we she got her new car which is what she's really excited about. So and new FL 5 arrived at the
dealership and we went and picked it up and yeah, she's she started crying because it was the first and last thing she's ever had and it was a bit it was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster the the car ride there and the car ride home.
So I could see driving home. She drove it home.
Yeah. She she did.
Yeah. So it's it's, it's I I took
around the block for. I did a blood, did a blocky just
before I left for the show and I was like, well, I've driven a I've driven it again, so. Which I'm dealing with that from
Matthew. That was from Eastern Highway
Honda. Where they?
Western Hwy Honda. Sorry, sorry, sorry for western
Hwy Honda. Sorry mate, I'm lost my.
Complete Whereabouts is that show?
Ravenhall. Alright out there, OK, Yeah.
So so they're they're out they're out there and they got there they're their little sticker on the on the on the back but mum got a her custom plates on the car and and it was pretty cool. It comes with two keys but also
a don't know if you got this David like a card you get that as well with you with your with your Ziv.
It's like a car that they just keeping your wallet and you don't even need a key, you just open the door and everything.
So she's like don't lose it. It's very expensive to repair,
to replace so so mum's like I'll be using that then I'll keep it at home. Be safe.
Yeah, but yeah the the lady was the lady was really lovely actually and I was Holyoke will give her a shout out because she she the delivery process was really lovely.
She was, she was really kind. She came on the hug, which was,
which was nice, and took some photos and yeah, it was it was good. It was.
It was a nice experience. So I have delivery consultants
there today, so that they have a good Did she buy the car from that? Side from another guy, but he's
on leave, OK And he was like, I'll be doing a delivery today.
So it must have been a delivery consultant auditor.
OK, so she went through the car and she didn't go through all like the the Type R, like Log R features and all that stuff.
But, but I think my mum was just a bit of a bit of a wreck.
So she she's like, let's get your phone set up, let's get this set up and then you can be on your way.
There's plenty of time for the rest of the stuff.
You know she probably won't be using it this weekend, probably, yeah. And the books only you know a
lazy 700 pages or something to read so you know she just.
She brought it out and she's like she's like I've got some light reading and then jump in the I'm like what the hell it's a it's a bloody Bible. It's it's huge it's it's it was
massive. I was like this is the biggest
book I've ever seen so so that was that was quite funny.
I ended up giving her her gift to like say congratulations Jim proud of you for getting a new car and I bought her the genuine boot mat to go on as I put that in there for her and they put all her little bits and bobs on that she asked for.
So. So she is really really happy
she's she went to pick up my sister after after that she dropped me kind of drop me off and then I'm going to pick up my sister took her for a drive in in the new Thai bar and that's going in on Monday to get ceramic coding and PF on the front so so it doesn't get it doesn't get damaged.
So yeah she's she's really really happy.
It's good to see you happy because she has had a had a had a had a hard few years so good to see a really really you know happy with with her new car. So Congrats Mum.
I'm happy for you. But she was super cautious
driving and she's like putting it around.
I'm like, I'm like, you can you can drive it a bit.
More. She's like just I'm just don't
want to damage I'm like mom enjoy it's a car go for it so so I think after the first few like 20 odd case she kind of loosen up a bit and and and she's starting to get a hangover but lovely car and and yeah I'm I'm happy that that she that she bought 1 Sir that is pretty much it on my end I think yeah that that's it that's it wasn't able to get to classic Japan so that's why we're gonna you guys are gonna talk to me about classic Japan. Explain.
Explain how the event went well, cool cards you guys saw and best ones of the day. And yeah, let's let's hit it off
guys. What?
How was classic Japan? It was really good.
I think most of the day wandering around with Scotty Doe, we took in the sights. Oh, there are so many cars that
were good, but one that stood out to me, I don't know why really was a Mazda. You know, those little 1500, I
think they are like the US or something.
There are a couple of those lying around, but one of them was on original J number plates like JPJ or no JCJ, something like that. And I thought, wow, that's still
on original retro. I'm assuming it's still
registered because it it looked like it drove there.
So I doubt it was on a truck. So that was the blue, blue one.
Blue one, Yeah. And that colour is called canard
blue, as in the duck. Duck Blue.
Duck Blue. Canada Blue.
And when I was growing up, our neighbour had one of those.
No, no, I That was you know the first Japanese car I probably saw up close and I think that was automatic that the car on Saturday because they came column automatic.
Yeah, comatic clinic, but very rare to see a car still on full ride with Jay plates which means from 1965 ish it hasn't ever been off the road or not registered or you know like that's sort of getting rarer and rarer these days to see that.
So I like that. I mean, there's heaps about the
other juicy stuff, you know, But that that stood out to me because 99% of cars there on club plates.
That peaked your interest, but it.
Did peak my interest. Here.
I don't think there was anyone. I sort of bailed up and talked
to OHP. My old Terrago, the gold one was
there that I had for a brief time, so I chatted to the new owner of that briefly. But umm, I don't think I talked
to anyone else so I just got in. I just wondered where now, you
know, with our ice cream cone and nice one with the flake that sticks in the side. I always like getting that one
there. It was nice to.
It was nice, like. All indications were that it
would be very silly and boggy, but too bad at all.
And they I've noticed on the Facebook page they did mention on the Friday or the Saturday that there hadn't been as much rain in that in the northern suburbs there, or the northern suburbs as as there had been other parts of Melbourne.
And as a result of the ground was and it was much better than previous. Years. better than I thought.
I thought it'd be a real bloodbath, but it was pretty good. The numbers were down.
They were. They were about 320 cars all in
total compared to something they've.
Got. Normally they get 500.
But I think they're more people there.
There was there. But yeah, not, not as many cars,
similar vendors there. Yeah.
So no, yeah, but it's so funny that event like there were three Turacos, you know, obviously there's Morris who we know who's Toyota Club, who has one and then two others which we've seen before. So I didn't take mine obviously,
but only one Honda City mine like and yet other years there's been sort of three cities or something.
So it's it's so funny. It just really waxes and wanes
with who brings what and what year.
Really interesting to see 2 Subaru vortexes and four SVX.
Oh well. Yeah, that was rare photo of the
the the vortex is driving out. You know it's like a his and
hers vortex and there's the same white colour and one driving behind the other. I thought, gosh, you don't see
that everyday. That's.
There are a couple of lovely sort of mid 80s Mazda 929 hardtops with the pop up headlights and the the beautiful almost like a sort of TEAC stereo down the middle in the middle bank is all stereo controls that that's yeah yeah gorgeous looking things. There's a few of them.
Couple of beautiful early silicas and again as it was there this year as well as last year a really lovely bad 86 SX Silica. So the in burgundy absolutely
flawless condition about 140K and older couple driving it, just loved it. You know, just just had it from
you and loved it and those sort of things really stand out.
I think there was an electric silica.
I don't know if. Anyone else that that was
bizarre. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Towing a
trailer of batteries. So yeah, it was an early
adopter, I'm guessing. That a genuine thing.
Thing I I'm guessing by. The look I saw that car on the
side of the freeway with another car next to it.
Yeah. I'm not sure if he pulled over
for someone else for that. OK, it was the other way around.
I'm not sure but. It's keeping the benefit of the
doubt. Yeah, yeah, they might have
pulled over to help, someone else tells another car there.
So can't say it was him. There's a very cool.
I've seen it, a couple of events, but there's a very cool Daihatsu mural walkthrough trucks home.
Well, that's got like almost like a it's a cake car front on it, but it's got this, just a huge square box on the back of it. I saw that, yeah, yeah, stuck a
little milk van. That's right.
They're called, they called, they called ahead to walk through, had a great we had a number plate was the Japanese style number plate which means car, Japanese former auto house I think is the is is the banner across the windscreen.
That was very cool actually. There were more Subarus there
this year than I've seen. Quite a few subis.
And the good thing this year as well is that they did manage to do a fairly good job of of lumping manufacturers together.
So they actually directed us. We had about 10 cars from our
club, but they directed us to a line of about, oh, I don't know, 2530 Hondas. So all you know, there are a lot
of Hondas all packed together, a lot of Celicas, you know, Toyotas, Mazdas, Princess. There was another whole whole
row of Prince Skylines there. They're always good to see.
There was a lovely one. Other thing that caught my eye
was a lovely familiar 3 door GT, about 96, Mazda 323.
The full time Forward Drive Turbo, which is one of Matt's favourites, I know, especially if she's got a fraud badge on them, it's that was very cool. I'm.
Hungry and and untouched and and Immaculate.
I actually adore those and if it's still good, it's working factory suspension, which I doubt they they all, they all, they're all done by now and that would be a very, very sought after car. But yeah, they are in untouched
condition, getting very very hard to find.
The other thing that caught my eye was only parked Not far away from the Hondas was Immaculate. Silver Holden Drover.
Yeah, a Suzuki Sierra High roof. The thing was meant absolutely
Immaculate. There was there was that there,
which is badged as a whole, but really a Sierra.
So technically shouldn't be allowed because it's badged as a whole. But then there was a Toyota
Lexan, which is a Commodore. Images of Toyota.
It's kind of like hang on, one of you should be allowed here, and one of you shouldn't be allowed.
Are you saying when my laser gets to 25 years of age, it wouldn't be allowed to go there? No, it's a Ford.
Well, well, there you go. Japanese into Japanese built for
it. It's not just a.
Bad traffic Japan. Not classic Ford there.
Laser. No, not loud.
No tough audience? Gosh.
Alright, I'll, I'll go through my list that I know.
Go for it. So as David mentioned, the
Prince skyline, the red one, the those there was a red one that was for. Sale.
Hmm. Didn't have a pricing.
Didn't bother inquiring because I thought products and it was the GTA, so not the GTB. OK.
But my goodness was that thing clean that had to been restored completely that looked like it just left.
I read the. Blurb on it and it said it had
had restoration work, but I don't think it was a full, you know, Monty Resto. I've got the photo.
I didn't take a good photo of what I said written.
Now I'm just trying to roughly read it.
But yeah, it was very good condition for something back in 67. And so that caught my eye
immediately as soon as I saw that Next up would be the Mitsubishi Gallant, the GTO, the orange one.
OHP yes, yes. That one that looked so good,
you can just see, yeah, you can see where they got the idea for that from America with their muscle cars that that was fantastic. And there was a white MR2 there.
I'm pretty sure that was but. Didn't have the original wheels
on it. No, it wasn't.
No, wasn't Original Wheels A32G DRV Spec 2?
That the wheels on. That thing was completely
stocked, like it just left the showroom.
Nothing had been done. It still had the original air
box, original exhaust, the BBS wheels that the V spec twos came with. Absolutely meant like I've never
seen such a clean engine Bay in my life.
I'll I'll send it to our chat. Yeah, yeah, I like those.
I like those BS because they the the V Spec 2 that's a lighter cars and it's gonna be like a 94 right?
Yeah, yeah, right at the end, yeah.
So to see one in actual original condition.
And also the dash no bubbles. Yeah.
Except for a 32. That's huge.
It's a miracle. So that was awesome.
Um was a really nice red Nissan Gazelle.
Oh yeah, well, Buddy and I were standing staring at this gazelle and it was. I said it's gotta be owned by
our panel beater because it's too straight.
It's too perfect in the paint. It was beautiful.
I'll put that in the chat so you can have.
A look see that? And then down with the Subarus
with some of the older liberties, and that was a 1997 STI version 3. He had a little bit written
about it, which was pretty interesting.
He's got one of 555 built original paint, but also original tyres. Well, well, the tyres from 1997
still. On David's horrified.
Horrified. No, no, no.
I couldn't do that. Couldn't do that.
On the end of the street, David. Have a car worth that much to be
that rare driving on tyres for 1990.
You've done what, 25,000 K recently?
Yeah, it's only done 25,000 K but those tyres have been on that car for a long, long time. It should be all different,
Temperature says. It's always garaged and stuff,
but you. Know very, yeah.
I went to I went to all four there few years ago with a man of mine and there was a there was an E DX8 Sprint there and it was really old bloke owner and his son was there with him and I had to look at the car had done like 20 or 30,000 cases it was nothing. Anyway I have a look and the the
tyres are all cracked on my my my God Jesus needs new tyres like no they're the original tyres.
I'm like, and you drove it here to Geelong with those times.
He's like, he's like, he's like, yeah, it's a bit sketchy.
I'm like, I'm like, dude, that's like asking for trouble, man.
Like just just if you're really worried about originality, take them off and and and put another set on.
Like, you know, just. It's got nothing to do with the
originality. The tyre correct.
I completely agree that like I. Think like that's like never
replacing your brake pads because they're original.
Yeah, it's just. Table item and there is safety
item. I mean, it's right between you
and the. Yeah, all my headlight globe is
blown, but I'm not gonna change it because it's original.
That's not how those that how that.
Works. Not the kind of person that's
inquiring on my car. Yeah.
My mate saying to me and you, you've met him, Scotty, Adam got the Charger. He's like he's we gotta make
sure we leave before this guy so he doesn't clean us up on the way out. So.
But yeah it's yeah, I I, I found out I was like that's I'm like yeah it's cool. But cheese like you drove it
from all the way from I think from your side of town 2 David, all the way to Geelong on those tyres.
I was like that that's yeah, yeah, yeah.
Asking for you, asking for trouble like that's that's not a good thing. But the weird thing is they care
about their car that much. Yeah, really do love their car,
but you're gonna drive it with ties like that.
You're just asking to write it off.
Yeah. Just very scary.
Yeah, well, I I did get two. I bought 2 new models.
Hmm, not Hot Wheels. I go on something different.
I'll just quickly grab them, corrected them.
Receptacle. I wanted to buy more, but
they're not that cheap. They're the Inno 64 models.
Cool. Yeah, they're lovely models.
Too much? Clear on that.
There we go. That's a bit better.
Cool 31 GSR. Yes, I got the 31 and bring it
back to my Grand Turismo days. The minds, Yeah, Yeah, it's so
cool. And the detail on these little
things is insane. Like, I just don't know how they
get that much detail on it for something so small.
But well worth it. That's right.
We're cool. Absolutely.
Yeah. I think I bought what I bought.
I bought a couple more Hot Wheels cars that I came across on the weekend to there's a BMW M5, Mercedes 190 E as well.
So phone along, seeing what I've come across.
But overall the event, the event was really good.
As Ed and David were saying. I thought it was going to be
very, very swampy. Yeah, but I'm glad it wasn't.
That's good. The weather turned pretty good,
too. Yeah, it was only in the
afternoon, wasn't. It really.
Yeah, I think. You're right up.
When the sun came out it was great.
Made for some good photos. Yeah, but yeah, it was really,
really busy, obviously. Yeah, not as many cars, but in
the car park for there was packed.
Yeah. So many cars coming and going in
that car park. Insane.
So it's good to see people wanna get out there still and check out their cars. Yeah, two things I did notice,
not criticisms, well ones a criticism, but the in previously said had music playing the whole time like a DJ and and music and they they had one musical sort of speaker system set up and and A and a bit of a bit of music playing.
But it wasn't like it in the past where it sort of actually gave another dimension to the whole event.
Like you could hear this sort of music over the whole whole sort of ground. You couldn't the other day.
A good aspect of that though is that Ash Milliken, who's the president of the Toyota Owners Club with Victoria, walked around and talked to the vendors and then talked to different club people and stuff about the clubs and about the cars They brought along Another one of the committee members, Morris Hanger is also a member of the Honda Club and he grabbed me.
So Ash Ash talked to me for a little while about about the Honda club, which was great. So that added that that was a
good, good dimension I think to to keep that, but I sort of missed not having the the sort of you know tune sort of throughout the day. I think it always just adds a
different, different dimension to it as well.
Maybe just a few more speakers. Yeah, maybe that wouldn't.
Really hear the interviews unless I was right up there.
OK, Yep. And we weren't really far away
just next to the next to your car and that and I couldn't hear you really anyone watching lately but if he little snippets when they kind of talk that little bit louder but yeah couldn't unfortunately. But I guess, you know, it could
come down to the weather. They were unsure if they could
really set up more speakers. Yeah.
It's raining, things like that, so and sure, on that one.
However, it's it's good food stalls.
They had one coffee van, worst cup of coffee.
I can remember getting served in Melbourne in a long, long time.
Well, that's a massive call. It'd be cool.
I thought it was just me because I'm quite specific about my coffee requirements, but I explained what I wanted, didn't get what I wanted. And then someone else I was
discussing and they said, well gosh, this is pretty not, not good coffee. So is I was a little bit
distressed about the coffee situation, especially as we met at McDonald's and I never get a coffee from McDonald's.
I thought, no, well, wait till I get to classic Japan because in the past they've had, you know, two or three coffee places and they've, you know, there was a, there's a coffee cube getting around and this in cube that's been converted into a coffee van and there's a combi van that's run by some people that's been there previously and stuff. So yeah, small, small criticism,
but I'd I'd interviewed the coffee people, I think, before you put them along. Controversial, I know, I know.
But that's what politicians want, Matthew, isn't it?
Sometimes. You know, it's we we we split
the fact on the show. But the facts?
Well, you can see coffee was important to people because the line. Was huge line was huge.
Yeah, absolutely. Right, everyone still wants a
coffee. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's right.
That's right. And to walk around, you know,
especially, you know, in the morning, it was a bit overcast there. Some sort of had been come out,
you know, particularly like it did in the afternoon.
So yes, yes, slight criticism, please don't take it personally.
Toyota Owners Club with Victoria, but maybe just coffee situation there. I've said it.
I wasn't going to say it. And it's you know we was we
speak the truth on the show we we're not afraid so.
That's what the listeners. Want.
Yeah, and hello to that listeners listening.
Yeah, yeah. But it sounds like it was a good
event. I'm sorry I couldn't make it
this year. This year, like I had planned to
come and the reason I didn't buy my ticket, it was like like, I don't know if I'm gonna be able to get there with some some family stuff to take care of, but I'm glad you guys are.
You guys will meet up and do it, but we'll have to do Classic, not Japan in January. I think we'll have to have to
tie it up in January. And the drive, I think it'd be
good. Yeah, I think we think should we
should take the cars out and have a bit of.
Furrow your mum's car. Maddie, borrow your mum's car.
Ask your mom if she can. Borrow a car, I can already
picture the answer. You might come with us.
Yeah, yeah. Yeah, there you go.
That's how we can get the car along.
Come along. She's like, where's my bloody
cat? Yeah, it.
Was up it with your car. Stop it with the laser.
So yeah. The lasers in the spot of the
type R. You would never know.
She would ever know. Anyway.
If you're the pick one favourite car of the event, what would it be? Really tough.
Too tough. Tough.
Put it back on. You OK?
Alright, OK. Yeah, I I will go with the 32
GDR. You were very taken with that,
Scotty. I've just, I have never seen one
so original and well kept. I mean, the owner had a little
brush and was actually getting rid of the dust in the engine Bay. Not much detail is just amazing.
How's like, Oh my God, can I get a photo of this?
Now I've been wanting to buy no one saw in there.
No, one of our members has a silver manual Honda N6 first generate you know one in six with a red carpets and black interior factory regional and that's a very nice piece of automotive art, so. That was a.
UK car. It was a UK car, correct?
But a good one by all accounts, which is good.
So yeah, aside from the car I drove there, which I was pretty happy with, probably be in six. OK.
And what you said you? Can't decide?
Not decide. I just can't decide.
The quiz, anyway. Join I think it's.
Right up the quiz. I think it's time for the quiz.
We also joined for as in perfect timing as always by Rob for the for Renault. Rob.
I'm good. How are?
You. He doesn't podcast.
Speed does Do quizzes. Do quizzes on podcasts.
That's right. Couple around Melbourne, just,
you know after. This you got another one to go
to? Three or four tonight, Yeah,
yeah, yeah. Different topics, yeah.
This is the car one you might do well.
I'm so good at the real estate. Topics, but it general knowledge
here too. Yeah, it's very good at that.
You could have one millionaire hot seat back matter.
Yeah, trigonometry. Trig.
Yeah. As we call, that's what.
We treat, you know in the in the quiz yeah service and area abbreviated term for those in the inner.
Sanctum. Like how you have the movie The
Wedding Crashers. He just goes to quizzes and
crashes them all the time. Just rocks up pressure.
That's quite hard. Today quiz crash up so that five
times quiz crashing quiz crasher quiz crasher quiz OHS stuffed broke here that didn't do it. All right, you guys have have
gladly introduced Rena Robot as the as the God.
He's the quiz king of all of all things.
So, so there's there's no, there's no there's no pressure at all. Now run a rope to to.
Wait to get one point. Dare me to get paid to get a
point. To your point.
No, probably and then gone. Let's question one.
Question one what was the first Australian car to to feature standard stability control? David.
David. Was the BT Commodore?
Incorrect. What's the question?
Stability. Control first Aussie car. 2
features to feature stability control.
It might have been standard on on on on upper specs, but option on on on all so. Can I just point out something?
Rob's lips have gone like the lipstick colour like mine do.
It's not just me. Why have I got pink lips?
Yeah, because I don't know what happens on my screen but on this zoom. That happened in your.
Work. Yeah, no, no.
It only happens here and see our normal.
You are. I'm normal now.
Rob's got the lipstick going on. I know.
Well, you're looking really pretty, so.
Yeah. Well, you know, it's OK.
Absolutely. It's very.
Why is it just my stays on? I know it does.
I have very rugy colour. As I said, Edna has made the
plans in this room. So mine is still normal.
Are there that's gone? OHP, it's my wife, Will hand You
waved. Your hand.
Well, that's magic. And now I've got it.
There they are, like Gandalf. Allow me to fix that for you.
Yeah, back to you. The song.
Anyway. Questions, Boo.
Sorry, no, we're still on question one.
Have you? Well, we still have question.
The joys of Zoom. Drag.
Incorrect First Australian Cardiff features stability control. Sorry, someone said Vt

It was designed by a, I guess a child.
Yeah, the delivery was drawn by a child.
Degree was drawn, yeah. Looked awesome, didn't.
It looked so good and actually put on the race go.
I thought that was genius. I think that was really like
they should do that more often, having a field of cars without the deliveries are being designed by.
Kids, old dinner. Why not?
Absolutely. Formula One are doing it now.
Absolutely. Get around it Scott.

name combi comes from the word I'm going to butcher.
This combination combinations crafts, craft bargain.
What does that translate to? Ed.
Edd. Like like multi-purpose vehicle.
I'll give you a .5 because it's you.
You're on the right track, but it's not the exact term.
OK. But.
David. Is it something to do with goods
carrying? Incorrect, Scotty.
You're in the next. Multi functional waggon.
That's also I'll give you a .5 because you're very close but
it's it's in the name. It's in the word that we're
gonna rob. It's in the word if you if you
can get it, I'll give it to you. Multi use.
Waggon incorrect. It's combination motor vehicle
is what it stands for. Combination.
Duh, it makes sense, right? So .5 to Edward .52 Scotty

Ed. Edd.
Hitler. I was like, I was like, I was on
the other side. And it's not Hitler, but that's
that's incorrect, David. I'll take a guess.
Was that the American advertising company?
You know what? I'll give it to you.
I'll give it to you, David. It was the New York Times.
So they called it the Beatle cause it looked like one and the name stuck. And then they everyone called it
the Beatle. The Volkswagen Beetle.

I'm going to say it's more than Hot Wheels.
I'm going to say 850 million. 850 mil, yeah.
I'll go a bit less. I'll go 450 mil. 450 mil. 500
million. 500 million gazillion bazillion dollars and runner
Rob. 300. Wow.
Just 300. That's it. 300, yes.
They're not shaped to buy. I'm gonna go get something out
because. So so just this this will make a
difference. Runner ROB is a 300 mil or just
300. A. 100 mil, Yeah, 300 million.
You are closest. They make 40 million a year.
Lower the light. You got your point told.
John Wow, I was a fairway off still, to be fair.
That's all I want. I want you to score, so I'll be
coming by. His Hot Wheels.
So much more popular. I think it's because the the
Larish colour schemes and things and my track the kids more but but the Matchbox cars we've discussed on the show before, they're always more detailed so. I was always matchbox and like
cocktails. Question 10 There is only one
new car currently for sale in Australia under $20,000.
Edos. Ed.
Edd. Picanto.

David. They've they've said no more to

So Robin one David on three, and tonight's winners on a 3.5
apiece is Mr Edward Bunting and Scotty Dared Johnson Modern.
Ohhhhh. Yeah.
There's not. There's not an extra question to
sort of sort the wheat from the chaff.
Well, I'm happy. I'm happy to ask you ask you a
question. I'm happy to ask you a question
if you guys would you guys like to share the. .1 If you wanted
to stay a tiebreak, well, you know what, Scott?
We were friends. Not that we're not friends, but
we were friends. You know, we wandered the
automotive archives that day. Maybe we should.
This is a nice little tie into that.
You know you can hold my ice cream.
When I went to the bathroom, it was quite romantic.
That was a touching moment. Was a touching moment he.
Didn't even. I didn't even lick it.
Didn't even like it oht noticing.
And I paid for it. But you got it.
You know, I feel like let's just stay even.
We'll stay in. OK.
Well, I'll. Let you guys hold something I've
heard all week. I.
Think, he says. I'm a peek.
You know, just imagining like a really bright sunny day and the grass is really high and you guys holding hands, frolicking in the park and that's what people.
Thought you said you weren't there.
No, that's. Yeah, that.
Did you see Scott and I looking at that gazelle prancing through? It was it was really romantic
and you were like floating around.
And body and ice cream. Just on that, just on that car,
the power of the print media. I can't look at anything Gazelle
without thinking of the road test.
When they came out in wheels, that was just headlined lame Gazelle. Gazelle.
A bang leg. Love it.
OK, boy. That's the quiz and that is the
podcast, I think. Thank you everyone.
Discussions talk, talk soon. I know you gotta go Edward and
Renee Rob. So we'll catch you guys later.
OK. Bye.
The Prince. You guys do a podcast?
Well, I didn't till it left just then.
That's just not right ipodcast now and it's not not nothing to do with Edward. No, we we we we are coming back.
I've been assured we're coming back.
Our our producer is has been very busy the last 12 months with children, but we are hopefully coming back in the New year is a bold statement. It's called Auto Retro and we
talk to people about the cars of their lives.
So hopefully we'll be back early in the new year with some new shows. Keen to see it?
Scotty Toe Golf, Tip of the week.
Golf Tip of the Week is a feat. We're looking at feet today.
Hmm. It happens quite often.
When you are lining up your shot, you will notice that you need to position your feet in a different spot.
You're like, oh I want to hit it more to the left.
It doesn't look like I'm lined up.
Have someone behind you to double check, because most likely you're going to hit it way out to the left.
You've probably already lined up but for some reason your second guess and just the way your feet are positioned it's it's usually off until you get into the habit of of realising it.
So yeah if you wanted to hit it a bit straight I'd be careful with that happens to me quite often actually.
To begin with I would line up and I think I'm aiming at the pin and I go, oh, because you just you just using your head and you're just looking good. Yeah, I think I am.
And you go, well, maybe just a little bit more to the left and you keep shuffling and then you shuffle far too much when you shouldn't have to begin with. 31st feet is important in golf.
MMM. We're gonna we're gonna prize
for the time we're finished with this podcast.
