You know, I have, um, I've been, I've been working on, because I'm coming to HQ every single day,
you know, five, six days a week. And then I've been working out with Chris Corbery in the gym,
uh, here locally at, uh, at, um, what's it called? Genesis. And so I bought a new bag and I bought
this bag. Um, this thing here is a, uh, what is this? KKNKG King bag. It's pretty giant,
but it's set up where I don't have to bring a bunch of other crap with me. Let me take this jacket.
This is an old OG jacket that we, uh, had made that I've lost like $50 to sell with everybody.
It, uh, it's pretty sweet though. Yeah, I think I'm still cold, but we'll find out kind of in between.
Um, but anyway, I've been coming to HQ every day and so I've been working on efficiencies to not
have to carry stuff back and forth. Uh, and so I have, this is a, I think this is still my M1,
M2. So this is a M2 max, uh, 96 gigabytes of memory MacBook pro from 2023. And I mean,
this is my lifeline. I mean, I use this thing all day, every day. I carry it back and forth.
And so I had a, I have like, uh, uh, an Intel, uh, like an i9 Intel iMac from 2021 probably,
that I've been, uh, it might even be 2020 that I've been using for, for quite some time. Uh,
over, for the last couple of weeks that I set up, we had, when I cleaned out the building,
we had a, uh, found a bunch of crap. And so, you know, I had this laptop sitting there. I'm
like, I really want a second laptop for here. I was thinking about getting a Mac mini and setting
that up, uh, but it made sense to, that I just, uh, you know, use what we had kind of sitting
around in the cabinet. And the problem is that that's the one that fan kicks on and it just,
it's just annoying. So I think that, uh, I would love to have this MacBook here. And so I, I have
two computer setups at home. So I have the one upstairs and then I have the laptop, uh,
and then I have a iPad pro as well, which I don't use as much. So I have this M2 Max MacBook,
which I edit on a lot. And then I have a pretty hefty, uh, um, Mac mini. So a full, full kitted
Mac mini and, uh, it's not called kitted, but whatever, fully built, fully specced, uh, Mac mini
with, I think it's an M four pro chip that's in that. And that's what runs my pro XDR display
upstairs in my office. And I use that, you know, usually once a day, you know, let's say
at least once a day, uh, I go up there and use that, that, that setup. So I would love to keep the
laptop laptop at my house and I'd like to keep a laptop here. So what I think I'm going to do,
because I have two setups, two computer setups here. Uh, so I think what I'll do is I'll, I'll
bring this M2 Max. I'll leave it here in my office. I'll take this old i9 Intel, uh, MacBook Pro,
and I will put that in the garage and studio back there. So I don't have to carry them back and forth.
And then I'll keep the, I'm going to get an M5 Max for my carry around editing rig, you know,
like kind of use, use all over the place. Uh, but anyway, what I was saying is I'm working on kind
of organizing the amount of stuff that I have to bring back and forth. Um, I thought about
even putting a shower and a hotel room here in HQ, which I'm not going to do because I think I'm
getting close people, uh, to driving. I drove for the first time last night to the back of the
neighborhood. Um, just weeks ago, I couldn't even drive 10 feet. So I'm doing, uh, I'm doing,
I'm doing pretty well. So, um, I had my new psychiatrist made me in the traffic of rolling
acres I had to pull out of the parking lot and drive down the street to the next parking lot.
That was a big, big deal for me. So then last night I got the balls to go drive around the
neighborhood a little bit. So I went and did a little off road in the, uh, in the Bronco.
I didn't want to get too crazy in the Bronco because I want to, I got to change the front
springs. I have too much preload on it. So anyway, let's, um, let's jump into questions.
And, uh, I'm not ready to talk about the 997 yet. Uh, I'm kind of saving that.
So, um, you're going to have to be patient another couple of weeks before we talk about
the Aquaboo 997 in detail. Uh, but I was, uh, the good news of me driving and I've started to
visualize it. Last night I was shopping E46s, R34 GTRs. I was shopping, um, E90 M3s. I was shopping
991.1 Carrera GTSs. I'm like, oh boy, this is bad. Uh, my Evo should, will be here today.
So, um, yeah, I, uh, I can feel it people. I don't know. I can feel it. The medication,
the ketosis, the whole package, the new therapists added to my old therapists. I'm going to be good.
So Brian's car stuff says, so backstory on the 992, did you buy it, uh, customer's car or question
mark? It's beautiful regardless. So he's talking about the 997. My 992 was the Brewster green car
that I just did it wrong. You know, it was the wrong, wrong color. You know, the Brewster green
looked great in photos, but in person it was just too much work and it was a little bit too dark for
me. I, I should have gotten British, British racing green or like oak green or something like that.
And so I traded that for the, the, um, the golf GT3. And so I'm going to get on the golf, uh,
probably next week start getting, I'll get the rest of the PPF off of it. And then I'm going to
start working on, you know, polishing and figuring out what works. And then we'll get it painted and
get it all fixed up. It's going to be great. Uh, and then I'm going to decide what I'm going to do.
Do I send it down to Kevin to get dialed for PPF? Uh, I'm sort of leaning toward doing a hybrid
where we just do the high impact areas and, uh, and not do the rest. Uh, but I don't know. I'll
talk to Kevin at Next Armor and we'll talk to, talk about what my strategy is. You know, if,
if I can take that car to the mountains, I would much rather have PPF on it. Uh, if I can't and
I'm cruising around town, then I would rather, I mean, it's so nice to work on the, the Aqua Blue
997, uh, work on that car because I'm going to put CSLXO on it. It's going to look incredible.
You know, and it's going to sit in my garage most of the time. So, um, you know, I don't really need
to, I mean, that car's not going to the mountains. If I was going to the mountains, I'd take a PDKS
car at 991.1 or 992 to the mountains, or I'd take my GT4 RS to the mountains, not the 997.
You know, the 997 is for looking pretty, you know, for collecting, for having, for, you know,
the long term. So, I don't think, um, I don't know. So, um, everybody's people saying, what's up?
Hello? Uh, petition to remove the stickers on the 997. You know, normally you would,
but that car with the gold is so darn, I mean, that's the way it came. And, uh, those are original
st- you know, decals from when it was, you know, they're not replacements. And that's the way they
come from the factory. And so, I, you know, when I had the, the 997, when I had the gray car, uh,
it, um, you know, it just, I don't know, it was clean to not have it on there. And that wasn't a
gold car, you know, aqua gold accents. And so, it's pretty, it's, I don't know. We'll, we'll see.
It cleaned up so nicely. I finished the polishing step. The car looks great. Um, so, I don't know.
We'll see. Uh, let's see, uh, Steven Colcazzi says, hey Matt, might be buying an R34 Skyline in
Orlando next week. Will you guys be around next Friday, Saturday? Friday, I will be, I doubt I'll

little bit of scar, didn't I, on my forehead. Um, what's it look like on camera? It, uh,

I'm okay with it. I think it looks pretty tough. So, it's fine. Um, maybe people will tell me that,
Ozympic and TRT, um, did that, made that line in my forehead too. We'll see. I've been getting,
I've been getting the TRT comments. That means it must be, must be doing something right.
If they knew me, you know, there's no needles going near my butt cheek, you know, if I can help it.
Certainly not voluntarily. Uh, let's see. Uh, Tomo M2C says, hey Matt, I know you have an aura ring.
Let's let this guy, I'd be interested to hear if you've tried the whoop band. And if so, what are
your thoughts on it? What were your thoughts on it? Yeah, I did have a whoop. Uh, it was annoying
because they make it impossible to like cancel your membership. It's just real clunky. Maybe
I've gotten better, but I like to be able to cancel and subscribe and do the stuff right from the app
and not have it. It's this like bait and switch where I had given Michelle it and then she wasn't
wearing it. And I was probably paying like two years of membership for the stupid thing.
And you know, those kind of nickel and dime things kind of sneak up on you and you end up paying
hundreds of dollars a month in junk if you're not, you know, on it. Uh, and I need to probably need
to be on it a little bit more. The, the aura ring is, I think way better because the whoop
strap, you know, you wear it in a shower and it gets all wet and your arms wet and it takes
longer to dry and it's not as comfortable to sleep with at night and you kind of want to sleep with
it. Uh, and so I like the ring. Uh, the ring's battery lasts me seven or eight days, you know,
and it charges in about 20 minutes. So, um, I think it's awesome. Um, Michelle got one too.
It's, it's incredible. I love the data. I haven't been quite as heavily into the data here recently
because I've been focused on diet and ketosis, uh, and much less focused on, you know, the,
the training part. Uh, so I'm just working out once a day. Uh, actually I just put that video up
on inside the hex. If you're a member talking about, uh, thanks to the people on the podcast,
that's going to make a pot, uh, make a hex, hex cast about my time management and you see me
in that like it totally dawned on me. Like I was kind of shocked myself a little bit. I know what
the, how to think. I planned out my march and what I'm going to do for my, you know, my, I'm
going to do a bunch of 72 hour fast right now. I'm, I've started a 72 hour sardine fast to get back
into ketosis because I'm not in and, uh, and, and so get in ketosis and I'm doing one meal a day
otherwise. So I'll do Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and then I'll eat again on Monday morning,
one meal a day. And, and, and then I'm the next Friday, I'll do Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and
then Monday, but I'm doing a water fast. So I'm going to do three 72 hour water fast, one sardine
fast this month. And I'm going to knock out that goal of 195. Uh, I might even blow through it.
So I'm going to hit the goal of 195. I want to get into a pretty strong therapeutic level
ketosis. And, um, and so I haven't been, I decided in March to like just slow my role on
all those running and rocking and double training and going crazy. Instead, we're doing like an
hour or less workout of traditional weightlifting stuff in the regular gym. And, uh, and, and the
beauty is there's no, I don't have any injuries going on, knock on wood. Um, I feel great. Like,
I mean, I feel like so much better, not all sore. You get a little bit sore here and there,
but not CrossFit level sore. Uh, so I don't know, maybe this is the path and it dawned on me.
Well, if I get to my goal weight, people are accusing me of taking steroids and growth hormone
and weight loss drugs. So that means I must be doing something right.
Why it just, it stresses me out to not, um, to not know that I could walk out the door and run a
marathon, you know, cause when you do that regular gym stuff, that's not really fitness. That's just
kind of doing some aesthetic work to, you know, keep muscle mass on you just to stay healthy.
But there's a, there's a loss of, of, of performance and functionality if you don't
train harder, like if you don't get to that zone four, zone five heart rate often.
So I think that the, the, the plan for me is going to be sort of a hybrid of,
I like the whole high rocks mentality of its low injury, high cardio, but still, you know,
a little bit of weight with sleds and stuff like that. So training for that kind of stuff
really appeals to me. That's what I prefer in CrossFit. I don't like all the gymnastic stuff
and the overhead squatting and stuff like that. It's, it's a little too much, um,
high skill. If you don't practice it a lot, it requires a lot of mobility that I don't have.
So anyway, I think I'm going to, I think I'm going to, um, get through this month.
I'm going to hit my goal. Hopefully I'll be driving and, um, hopefully that I can,
the Tesla can start kicking in as well. But I'm, um,
I'm a little, I'm a little, um, speechless on this whole
normie thing. It's basically what I'm saying is just go to like a normal gym three, four,
it's such an un-novel, like such a shocking concept to me that I like get tongue-tied.
All of you people that like live a sustainable moderation, life of moderation,
like I envy that in many ways. I don't even know what to do with it. But anyway, if you're not an
Hex member, you can be a member on, on, um, on the OG channel, on YouTube, or you can be
in, um, on the, on the website. Um, I don't have any plans for a giveaway. So all of you
speculating that I've had many, many people reach out to me wanting to buy the golf RS.
I think they think because it goes to require a little bit of paint on that quarter panel there
that they're going to get a 50% off deal or something stupid. I paid $260,000 for that car
to get that color. There's only two of them. So I paid $260,000. Um, I knew that, you know,
it had PPF on it. I knew this would be a risk. I knew it wasn't going to be to my spec. There's no
car is. Uh, and I knew that there was a real possibility I could pull some pain or damage
the headlights and I'd have to fix it. Uh, and, you know, I'm not buying a new car. So there's
always going to be some disadvantage to doing that. Uh, and I also know that I can fix pretty
much anything. So, um, but I paid $260 for it. I put a $25,000 stereo in it because I sent it
right from New York. Uh, the truck came and got it and went right to sound in motion. Um, I think
they, they always give me a pretty hefty discount. So I think I maybe spent 18, 19,000 bucks on the
stereo. It's a fully active Dynaudio, um, three-way setup, um, three-way in the door. So it has a
seven, four and one inch tweeter. It's time aligned. It has, um, Moscone processing. Uh,
it's pretty freaking sick. It has an illusion audio downfiring. The sub box alone is like
4,000 bucks because it's like, it's like 35 pieces of graduated MDF. Uh, it's not just a
fiberglass enclosure that pressure fits up into the footwell of the passenger side. It's really
awesome. Um, super, super high quality. And, you know, sound of motion is in downtown Boston.
And so then I had the car shipped here. So I probably have five grand in shipping,
which doesn't really matter from a selling the car perspective, but it matters to me.
I have, um, about 4,000 bucks worth of, uh, Edgard reupholstered leather stuff,
leather inside the interior. I did, uh, it is a 15,000 dollar Dundon exhaust and it has 15,000
dollar wheels on it. Those Boston wheels were like 15 grand or something crazy like that.
I'm going to have to do PPF polishing painting. That's probably going to be another
equivalent of 10 or 12,000 bucks. Um, and so I'm, I'm $300,000 plus into that car. And that's
what it would cost for you if you bought a really nice, really low mile paint to sample GT3 RS.
If you want something 5,000 miles or less and you want it to be like one of five,
you know, the paint to sample that you're looking for, you're going to pay
240 to 280 for that car. Uh, and then you're going to spend all this money to do all this stuff to
it. So if somebody offered me 300 grand, you know, I'll probably take that, but no one's going to do
that. People want to buy it from me for 220, but I mean, the car would be worth more to me to keep
it than to do, to get rid of it. So, um, I would do, likely do a giveaway if I wanted to exit from
it, but I really don't. Um, I want to just keep them all. So we'll see. Who knows. So that wasn't
a shirt I had on. That was the jacket I talked about that earlier. Um, let's see. Oh shoot,
I missed the super chat. Sorry about that. Um, let's see. I vote you still make one room into a
bedroom at HQ. Thanks Kurt. Um, yeah, maybe, uh, it would be cool. If I could just drive,
then I would love, man, I would love, and I can start to envision it. I would love to make that
drive here every day. It'd be incredible. Just imagine. So imagine I got all the cars I want.
I ended up, I got an E46. I got an E90. I have my E92. I have my GT4 RS. I got the 991.1 Carrera
GTS that I want with center locks, carbon ceramics, and, um, naturally aspirated with the AW exhaust.
Uh, make that with Bermister or some sort of crazy aftermarket stereo. The Bronco,
which I love driving that thing, um, have a, I would probably trade out for a Model S instead
of the Model 3. So when I didn't feel like it, I could just have it drive me here, but put that
on 22s. I want a white one or a red one with black, like 22s, super flush, super low slammed,
you know, tinted really dark so I could pimp cruise that thing around. I'd probably get an M5 as well
and then just trade out cars. So come here. I'll have, uh, I'll have the Wash Bay built.
I'll have the other, the indoor Wash Bay built. I'll have the blow up, you know, bounce house out
there. If you didn't watch the car capsule video and then my stacker trailer, um, I'll have a couple
of rental garages down in the villages still. Uh, and so I'll just keep cars everywhere and then
every day drive a new car, kind of like wearing a new Rolex every day. It makes me happy.
That's my dream. So the reason why I'm telling you this, I'm working on my vision board, uh, for,
for the, my business course and, um, I'm working on the, what do I want out of life? And, um,
it's not all, most of it's non-material. Most of it's a simple, simpler existence. And, uh,
I don't know how I got on this diatribe, but man, could you imagine? Shoot, I'll just take the cars
that I have and just drive those every day and put miles on them. And then what are people
gonna yell at me about? You know, you wash them too much, you drive them too much, too many miles,
are you stupid buying these low mile cars and then driving them? I'm sure they'll come up with
something sometimes. Um, oh, Jeff Jr. was talking about sometimes less is more when it comes to
technology. Yeah, but you know, Apple's so seamless and I get it set up. I just want to have more
so that way I'd have to carry less around is what I really want to do.
Let's see, KSWETR says, Matt, do you wash initial drying wipe towels like the low pile drying towel
together? Um, again, I talked about this last week. When you're doing towels, you want to stick,
you just don't want to have weird colors. Like I don't wash the orange with other colors or the
yellow with other colors, they have to kind of get washed by themselves. So, but as far as the,
you know, low pile and high pile, again, that's dark and light. And so the orange will get kind of,
if you don't care about the color, ooh, here comes my Evo right now. I'm actually bringing my Evo.
What was I going to say? What was I talking about? Oh, washing towels together. So you always want
to wash towels before you use them. I generally don't because I'm always getting new towels all
the time. So I don't, I very rarely wash them before I use them, but you want to wash light
colors. So I wash the blues and the grays and all the dark grays, all that by themselves. I wash
the light and silver grays by themselves. And then I wash the oranges and the yellows by themselves.
We're getting rid of the orange towel in Microfiber 4.0 that we're going to launch in a few days here.
So our washing is actually going to become quite a bit simpler. We only have really two colors to

Right now, I don't love it, but it's the Sebo, S-E-B-O, S-E-B-O, because
Melee had a great upright, but they don't have an upright. I think it's the Felix. Yeah, Sebo
Felix. It works great on a bare floor and then also okay on carpet. Really, I mean, you want like a,
you want a bagged canister Melee vacuum is really what you want. But those things, I don't like
having those around because if I'm using it, it's fine. But if anybody else uses,
they're smacking into my baseboards and stuff. So the Sebo Felix is the way to go.
SK Friedberg says, why exactly did people hate the blow-up garage? I don't get it.
I don't know. There's some, we'll save the comments. We'll look at the trash can. I think
the trash can comments were actually pretty normal. The PPF ones are annoying. Remind me,

cars for friends and family since I bought my Milwaukee polisher for you. What's service like
on these? Do you re-grease them? I don't think so. Now, there is an advantage to opening it up
and swapping or re-greasing it or putting better grease in it. I think a lot of guys would probably
clean it out and then re-grease it and it quiets it down a bit. But my wager is that machine will
just keep on clipping along. I think, I mean, it doesn't have a five-year warranty. So just
run it into the ground. But there really isn't much maintenance to do. Just manage your batteries and
I don't think you'd have to do much. Let's see. Oh, shoot. Yo Kenny, I think it's Yo Kenny R.

Yeah, the hate is pretty funny. Some people have too much time. It's funny because the channels are
doing pretty good. Pretty well, I should say. I have a whole new team. So we're working on the
style and the taste. Right now, I said, just air on the side of let's just get it. Let's produce it.
And then rather than just punting it, I'd rather put it up and we're gonna figure out a style and
the right music and the right transitions and we're gonna figure out how to do that. I mean,
Wabba and I were doing this together for six years, five, six years. So it's gonna take us some time
to get there. I'm pretty pleased with where we're at, but people tend to get pretty dramatic and
they want to all or nothing me and say, this is jump the shark or he sucks or this is stupid.
They're looking for an excuse, but I'm taking in stride. We're just kind of doing the job here to
to make some interesting stuff and share the obsession and hopefully we can do that for a
long, long time. Hey Matt, any rubber jack or jack stand rubber pads that you recommend for
lifting and holding the car up instead of metal on metal? Let's see, rubber jack, jack stand rubber
pads. I mean, you have the race ramps stuff. If you're talking about putting it, you know,
putting your tires on something. And then we have the book ones, BOECK stuff on our website,
which is a little rubber jack pad. But I think that's about the extent of what I might recommend.
Let's see, iCloud Chris says, would you ever build an obsessed garage warehouse for other
people to store their vehicles and get maintained as a service? Definitely not. I have negative
interest in that. And I mean, and it's kind of one of those topics that it's every guy's dream,
except for mine, it seems. Every car guy's dream is to do that. I just don't, not interesting.
Let's see. T-R-A-R-A-C-P says, because you make it inside the hex, talking about YouTube,
you seem to be chasing subscribers now. No, I'm not chasing anything. YouTube has made this pretty
clear what you need to do. And I'm trying to figure out how to make it work. I have a business,
and it would be nice if I didn't have to, like, be the business my whole life,
and maybe someday I might want to go on vacation. And so the algorithm makes it pretty clear that
obsessed garage, in order to get pushed to the people that subscribe to obsessed garage, needs
to be about the garage and not the granular detail of how to polish a door jam and how to tape it
properly. That's what I'm interested in. And so that's why I created the Matt Mormon channel.
It's a bit nostalgic because that's how I started it. And so I do whatever heck I want on the Matt
Mormon channel and however format I want and whatever randomness I want, and it probably will never
take off. And I'm okay with that. But on the business channel, the obsessed garage channel,
in order for us to do garages and design garages and do what I want to do, which is to share
detailing tools, lighting, flooring, cabinets, in order for people to see it, because no one
was seeing it. It was getting 7 or 8,000 views, 6,000 views of video, because I was doing it the
way that I wanted to do it, and then it wasn't working. And so if I want to have and build the
brand, I had to make some choices. And the choice is to make a more palatable series of videos.
And so we've gone from getting 4,500,000 views every 28 days to about 8,000 or 900,000 views
currently. So what we're doing is working. And at my peak, I was getting about a million to a
million one. And usually those were tied around like LZ projects, because you know, his audience
would come. But it's nonsense. I mean, I've been very clear of what I'm doing here. We're also,
we just shot the first video for the obsessed garage DIY channel or whatever we're going to call it,
which would be the product focused channel, and doing a 12 part series on tool grid, and how to buy
it and how to install it and how to use it and how to choose what parts and pieces you need.
And so I look at this as I'm going to have a whole lot more content available and reach people
where they're at, rather than attempting to ram my style down everyone's throat, because most people
aren't like you guys that are here watching me live. Most people aren't interested in the details
in the long format stuff. And in the past, I didn't care about that. But I had a job. And now I don't.
This is the only job I got. And so I'm not chasing views. I'm chasing engagement. I'm chasing the
ability to reach more of people like you that are here with me right now. And the only way to do that
is to figure out how to be a bit more generic and broad appealing while still sort of representing
or selling the obsession. And I think we're doing okay at that. And we're discovering what's going
to work. Maybe none of it works. I don't know. But that's that's the that's not chasing. That's
business. That's just being smart. Let's say invasion. Hey, man, I know you said you have
the new iPhone. Which specific model is it? And how would you rate the battery life on it?
I have the iPhone 17 Pro Max and battery life is great. I mean, I use this thing all day.
I usually am at like, I don't talk on the phone a lot, but I use it to watch a lot of stuff.
Shoot, I'm probably on the phone an hour and 10 minutes a day, watching stuff when I'm don't
carry my iPad, when I'm my drivers drive me back and forth. And then I'm using it to do the podcast
and and I use it all day shooting videos and inside the hex and all kinds of stuff. So doing
the podcast, the battery life is pretty great, I'd say I don't have to charge it. And I get a new
phone every, every, every six, seven months and they come out the new one. So usually it was only
the 16 Pro Max where the battery got a little gnarly. Something happened with that one.
Brian says, how are the Sonic pre-configured sales going? Better or worse than expected?
They're as expected, maybe a little better. Any plans to offer more variability or is the
current options the limit? No, no, no, we will have more options, for sure.
Let's see, Joe C says, what part of PA Pennsylvania are you from? He's hailing from
southeastern PA. So I was born in Southern Butler County, just north of Pittsburgh. And then when
I was 13, we moved to the Poconos and to Hazelton, Pennsylvania. And then I went to Villanova and
southeast southeast PA and northeast Philadelphia. I went to Villanova and then when I graduated
from Villanova, I moved to Orlando. Let's see, did you go out there by yourself? Well, I went out
on the street there by myself with my therapist on FaceTime. I was sitting at the end of the
parking lot. There's cars just whizzing by and I haven't been able to, you know, get out here
on Rolling Acres. And so I sat there and then I pulled up to the stop sign and sat there,
started to panic a little bit, backed up. Well, you don't have to do it, but you should. And then
eventually I just pulled out into the street, went down to the next parking lot. And then I had to
come back across the road with all this traffic and then pulled back in and I did it without a
meltdown. So that's good. And then that gave me the balls to go out and drive to the end of the
neighborhood. I was literally driving like 100 yards down the street. And then last night I drove,
I don't know, three or four miles down the road. So it's pretty cool. So still in the neighborhood,

I don't know. I like Nick a lot. I like his channel a lot, but
the thing that occurs to me, so something I'm reading this book, I just started it,
but I'm reading a book about, it's an older book. What is this written?
It's written by Jeff Volek and Stephen Finney. This was from,
I don't know what they normally would have the date in the front cover here.
Published in 2012. So it's not that old, but it's the art and science of low-carb performance.
And so think about this logically. And I don't know that I believe this, but this seems
somewhat logical. Uh-oh.

Let's bring my pop-up chat back up. So like I was watching Nick run, run a marathon,
what was he running? I think it was a marathon again or something like that.
And a lot of the long distance runners and people who run long distances, they talk about,
they talk about their stomach, you know, you're attempting to load up your system,
which you can store about 2,000 calories. That's what this book is talking about.
You can store about 2,000 calories of, by the way, I haven't heard Nick talk about it,
so if you could post a link or shoot me an email, madadupcessgarage.com. I'd love to hear
his thoughts because I'm not 100% sold on this, but it's working for me. My brain is working
better. Things are just looking up for me. Maybe I'm just having a good week. But you can store
about 2,000 calories of carbohydrates, which is delivered in the form of glucose, which infills
your muscles glycogen. And so when you become glucose and insulin energy driven, you know,
what insulin is your, is the regulator of glucose and energy store and the, which creates what ATP.
Anyway, I'm talking out of school here. But anyway, when you are glucose dependent,
rather than ketone dependent, you, let's say you're running 100 miles and you, if you bonk,
then let's see, you bonk and then you can't recover. So you could be loaded with carbohydrates,
but if you reach a certain level, so let's say you, you're running 100 miles, you get to mile 30,
you're taking gels, you forget to take gels, you get to mile 50, and then you bonk.
And then you just take a bunch more gels to try to load up and then your body can't recover. It
can't even, you could be loaded up with 2,000 calories of carbohydrates, but you can't, you
concept of teaching your body to use fat stores. And if your body is glucose and carbohydrate
adapted, then it doesn't know how to use fat for energy. So you're running that 100 mile race,
you, you, you're, you're carrying about, you know, 40, even a really lean person's carrying
about 40,000 calories worth of fat stores in your body. And so if you can't, if you can't
break that down and convert it to energy, like if you're, if you're not used to it and you're not
fat adapted, your body can't utilize that energy. So, so this concept of, but it, but it takes a
long time to switch over. I haven't switched over yet, I don't think. I feel like I'm starting to,
I think it takes months and months and months to switch over. And so you could theoretically go and
then do this, you know, long distance training and running and all of that stuff with a lot of
performance on fat, not on carbohydrates and then not have all the stomach problems. You know,
I see all these fit people that have all these major stomach issues. They're attempting to load
up and carb load and, and, you know, and cut and bulk and all this stuff. And man, I don't know,
I don't know if that's the way to go. So I think that this way might be the way and it's eating
ribeyes and butter, which is so counterintuitive. So anyway, interesting topic. Let's see west coast
plans. I mean, we've, we're not working on that till second half of the year, which would be for,
you know, to start delivering there. Probably late, you know, late fourth quarter, we're going to
start working on that. When is the shopping for the GR86 for your son? A car won't be until later
this year. I mean, when the sun doesn't turn 16 till December, no reason to get a car and have it
sit there. So yeah, yes, I will ceramic coat over the decals. I did polish the decals as well.
They're pretty robust. How did the show go last weekend? Good question, James. It was pretty good.
The weather was bad. And so we had maybe what 50 cars or something show up. And so we had,
you know, probably a couple hundred people total. So yeah, I think that I think it was good. It was
really fun to have people come over to my garage. But the, the time it, we, we, we was too long.
We needed to do it like maybe three hours or four hours, something like that, not eight.
And, and then have like shuttle service back and forth to my garage. And it's going to make a lot
of sense when we have the showroom showrooms looking pretty good. I met with them with the
villages presented what I needed. No one said no. So they're working on it to see if we can make
the numbers work together because it will be sort of a partnership, if you will. So I'm, I'm getting
close. Oh, the hand, we got it. It's, it's almost better. It was pretty gnarly. I probably should
have gotten stitches, but I did a good job. And normally at this kind of thing, I don't think
about it. I don't, I don't take care of it, but I made sure to clean it, dress it, you know,
clean it with peroxide, put antibiotic on it, let it air out, you know, at certain times,
like even before it was ready to like sleep, I would let it air out for like four or five hours
at night, just kind of holding my hand out. And so it's, it's healed up pretty nicely. And I think
it's, it's good. So I know it's good. I'm able to hold the barbell again. Let's see. We didn't, I
didn't make a video of the car show. It's kind of car show videos, I think are stupid. So I, I
don't find those interesting. And I think that, I think that it,
we have some b-roll for future advertisements.
Let's see. My wife just picked up a Wrangler, any advice, any advice to help me survive the Jeep
life? Yeah, I don't know. I mean, it's just a car. I take care of it like anything. It's just
would you consider an Acura Integra Type S instead of a GR86 for your son? He can probably get a
better deal on the Acura. It may be. I mean, it's a good looking car. I feel like it's so big.
And then, and it's front wheel drive, which I don't love.
Let's see. Tyler says ignore people. If you need the TRT, there are therapeutic doses that are
helpful. Yeah, I don't need TRT, you know, according to the blood work that I've done.
But, I mean, I certainly, if I was on TRT, I would certainly probably put on a substantial
amount of muscle mass. But I don't want to be reliant on, you know, exogenous things like that.
If, I mean, wouldn't it be almost always be healthier to not have to take that,
you know, have to take it for the rest of your life then. So I'm working on natural,
you know, testosterone via proper body composition and proper work. So I don't think
there's anything wrong with it. I just think that a lot of people may, you know, you go to the crutch.
But, you know, I don't have that same opinion I once did where, shoot, if I was 300 pounds,
I would be taking mersepitride or ozempic or something. I'd be taking that, I mean, would
you be better taking the risk of taking something that we're not 100% sure what it's going to do
to you long term? Or would you want to die of a heart attack, you know, and all the other things
in insulin resistance and all the things come from that. And then if you're deficient in
testosterone, I would first do everything I could to fix it. But again, it's easier said than done,
man. It's hard. I actually, we're putting a video up on inside the hex where Jay has been watching
me for years and he's watching me balloon up and then go back down and get fit. And he's like,
man, I want to do that too. And so I asked him if he would let me record it. And so that's a,
I think a pretty decent video where we go through and the details of all the different things that
I've kind of figured out. With the R34 Skyline that Steven is getting, it was just sprayed,
base side blue, they wet sanded, polished the whole car. That would do, what would you do
exactly once you get it back in your garage? Yeah, I mean, I would probably still, I mean,
I'd look at how well they polished it and I may need to polish it again.
If I didn't need to polish again, I just coat it and call it a day. Hey, Matt,
with the Dundin setup in your point one RS, do you have any drone to speak of?
No, Dundin's loud, but it's not droney. So no, there is no drone. There's a little bit of
resonance at like 3200 RPM, but it's very manageable. The valves operate like normal,
so it's pretty good. Let's see, meticulous garage says,
do you recommend not using drying aid when washing during pollen season?
No, I would still use it since by the time you finish washing pollen lands back on the car and
it's an abrasive. No, I'd be more inclined to use more drying aid to dry the car when it's pollen
season and just be cognizant of that. Are you using AI with your Mac mini? I mean,
I guess, I mean, I'm using ChatGBT, Gemini, GROC, but normally just for like advanced searches and
like I need to create a personal financial statement and so I'm just gonna have it create
that for me once I just put all the bullet points down. I'm in a consolidation phase with banks,
so I moved my relationship to Bank of America from JP Morgan Chase, so I'm making the transition
there because my personal brokerage assets and my IRAs and stuff are at Merrill Lynch,
so I'm gonna move my Robinhood account to Merrill Edge, I have a self-directed account.
They don't allow you to buy Bitcoin, so I'll just leave that at Robinhood and Coinbase,
but I am now in the private bank and so I'm with a commercial bank rather than just a
local bank branch, so that'll also give me access to things. What I'm hoping to do this year and
I'm gonna make a video on this side of the hex here soon to get to, you know, obsessed garage
financial excellence. We just had an accounts payable person start I guess this week,
and so we're really gonna dial in and I'll talk to you about some of the things, the deficiencies
that the lessons learned inside the hex, but I'm hoping to profit, you know, several million
dollars a year net-net to be able to have a substantial storehouse of cash, and so what I
would want to do is take the personal guarantee off of my business line of credit. I would love
to pay off my building, I'd love to pay off, I'm gonna have a partner investor in the village's
project, I'd love to pay that off, and then I'm gonna have like treasury management and hopefully
have a pile of cash and then I just borrow against my own assets if I ever needed to borrow
and set it up that way. So I'm gonna use AI to help me sort of generate that, so I just asked
Susie to book me two appointments with a couple of estate planning attorneys, I need to go revisit
all the titling, I also need to go and we have to re-up our trademarks, copyrights,
and so I need to level that up a little bit as well for some of the new products that we're
building, and so I'll use AI to do that kind of stuff, but I mean I'm sure that I'll be using it
more as time goes on. I'm hoping it can help with, you know, get rid of things like QuickBooks and
some of the warehouse management stuff. Let's see, F10 and N5 was sweet, yeah it was pretty cool.

me remind me how much more water I need to be drinking. See, I don't, I think you drink thirsty,
and if you're not thirsty that means you're not, you're not like in the right balance,
right, so I don't drink all day, like I only have this here, so normally what I'll do is I'll fill
this thing up and just whenever I'm thirsty you just drink the whole thing, and if I'm not I won't,
I mean there are many days at HQ where I don't drink a sip of water, not one, I'm here for 10
hours, don't drink any water, just not thirsty, and then I go home and I guzzle a bunch of water,
or not, and so I think you need to be, you know, kind of rethinking how you're, you know, and again,
this is easy for me to say because I've gotten through the work and it took me 10 years to fix it,
and so, but it's a pretty clear formula here, you calories in, calories out, put out more calories,
or you know, stop eating calories, and then the type of quality and content of the calories that
you're taking in, I think that's very clear, so, you know, you drink water when you're thirsty,
and if you're not thirsty that means that you're either supplementing it with some other nonsense,
some diuretics like caffeine and stuff like that all day, you should get rid of that, or you're,
you're just not healthy, your body's not calling for water because it's retaining a bunch of it,
so, yeah, water should just come naturally, and girls carrying water around all day and
don't drink any of it, so dumb, yelling at Michelle all the time, this is stupid,
and let's see, Mr. 705, I love seeing the weight loss, I have a back issue and blew up to 280,
I'm down to 240 with a goal of 200, it's a snacking issue after seven for me, you know,
I've never been a drinker or smoker, but my addiction is food, same here buddy,
same here, I'm a freaking food addict, and getting this safe really helped me,
believe it or not, so I don't have access to get in there and do snacking because there are no
snacks, they're in the safe, and I don't have the access code to it, and you know, if you have a back

hyper, and work your way up to doing like two and a half plates on each side, so four plates of,

I hear it in my head, I hate pretending like it's his car, doesn't make a difference if it's his,
if it is or not, but be genuine, I still like OG and all these videos, they do feel a little
overproduced though, this isn't meant to be a comment warrior type of thing, just feedback,
well I read it as a little more than that, let's see, sell the golf blue, replace the car because
a couple of bad paint spots, people are so dramatic, I'm messing with these guys, you know, I get it's

So, out of the 25 videos that are on the Matt Mormon channel, there are 23 of them,
where I'm shooting on a tripod with crappy angles, and that's what I want to continue to do, but,
and there's 42 likes, so clearly, he's not a minority here, but that's kind of what I'm
doing, I mean, what I'm doing, I've done 30 videos already, how many am I supposed to do?
So, I promise you get a lot less stress if you have less money tied up in cars,
you should match your Rolex to your shirt and shoes and car, I don't know if that was supposed
to be an insult, since you bought another car, does that mean you're able to drive it?
You know, there's a lot of people always trying to stick it to me.
Well, if you're going to do that, type in a freaking complete sentence.
I said that's the plan. I'm getting, see, I'm getting nice in my old age.
Let's see, those decals are atrocious. If I had a dollar every time I said this is the one,
squeezers, oh, so let's go, let me search by, let's look at comments by video,
so let's look at content here, and then, oh, there was a good one on the Bosch one here,
let me see, Bosch comments, delete that. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That came here to get away from
the commercials, and then he says, oh, oh, oh, oh, Zempik, so stupid, so stupid.
You can't, you know, anyway, it's so funny. I said, plus you don't have biceps and quads like mine

For when you want to clean out your garage, this is the car, the car capsule. There's some good ones.
Let's see, why not extend the studio to the size it was originally planned, loads of storage,
then a janky blow up garage, keeping cars nice cars outside when you seem to have huge space,
seems silly. Well, we have like every square inch of this place stacked with stuff.
Yeah, I need its temporary solution until I can build that other side.
Let's see, is Maddie, Maddie officially losing the plot, one billion square foot warehouse
to store $700,000 cars in a bouncy castle. I said, it's not that big.
And he says, billionaire two, by the way. Here we go. Oh, this is a good one. I like this.
So this guy, Dan, Dan says, another content repeat. This is on the I built the garage in
10 minutes nonsense that we put up and doing the car capsule showcase.
Matt was all excited with this company's showcase. Many years ago, he advertised for
this company to no end. Then he stopped for some reason. Now he's back on the push with
this company, but this time for a much larger version. I went back to see the original videos
he has taken and he has taken all of them down, but don't know why he could have simply said,
I have a long history with this company or something that out of fact. So why take all the
other videos down? And of course, they were smaller one car solution. He probably had 30
different videos talking about the sound of the motor ease of entry and so many cleaning videos
to maintain them buyer beware. So Dumbo, let me something. So when you go to any YouTube channel,
and this is going to be way above your pay grade here, but I'm going to teach you something how
to do this. So let's just go on my channel, for example. So when you go to the channel,
there's like a video about us that loads and there's some tabs at the top. You wouldn't know this
because this is a little bit too sophisticated. So it says home videos, shorts, live, and you
can click these things. If you click videos, it will give you a chronological order of all the
videos that have been posted both inside the hex and regular and shows you in chronological order.
And there's a little tab there at the top that you can search either latest, popular or oldest.
You can search by members only or public. You can do the same thing on shorts. You can look at
lives, which is where you would find this podcast on the Matt Mormon channel or the old lives we've
done. There's podcasts, which is just a link back to the OG podcast, playlists, posts, membership,
store, and then there is a search. And so if I do some rocket science move here and I search and
I type in car capsule on the OG channel and I hit enter. There's 123456789101111 total videos on the
car capsule showcase. And then the car capsule showcase also makes it in a bunch of other videos
because I was using it. I bought them myself, Dumbo. So I bought this one, paid money for it.
Now, I will tell you, I did buy the new slant, or had them send me the new slanty one,
and they're going to allow me to return it because I'm like, I don't know what I'm going to do with
this thing. And so the way that business works, at least my business works, and I know people are
always trying to catch me slipping, catch me mining for views. But in my universe,
I decided I would like to have a staging area because I keep moving my cars around and I knew
the EVO was coming here. Our content had gotten a little stale on the showcase, but I still love
them. I used it for years and we sell quite a few of them. I think we sell about $200,000 a year
of car capsule showcases and car capsules. And so we used to sell $400,000 a year or something.
I don't know what the numbers are. Let's say it was $100,000 and we're selling now. We used to
sell $200,000. And we don't have to stock and ship them. They drop ship and I make a 20% margin
when I sell them. But they don't give them to me. I have to buy them. And so net net, I don't know,
I'm probably, you know, you know, so I've made say 20 or 30 grand a year on them and I've spent
probably 20 or 30 grand on these things over the years. So that way I could buy them, proverbially
showcase them, make videos because I think it's interesting. I think they're cool and I wanted
to know which one works for me. Do I want to have it in my garage? Do I want to have it outside?
And so we use this as an opportunity when Matt Rutledge came to me says, hey, analytics are
showing that we really should produce some current content. CarCapsule has some new showcases.
So what we should do is we should make some more videos on them. This is part of the reason why
I ratcheted back from destination OG. I've ratcheted back from Canada from the house stuff.
So that way I can make sure that products don't become stale and I can continue to water the plant
and show people how cool this stuff is. And so I got this one and it's freaking cool. It's the
coolest one they've made. Now it's big, it's giant, it's ridiculous. Makes no sense. It would be smart
for me to spend a, you know, so I spent, you know, they give me a discount because I'm buying it
and they know I'm going to video and it's going to be an awesome video. And so let's say I spend
4,000 bucks on the $7,000 showcase. I get to have it for a while. I'll probably sell it later when
I'm done with it. Somebody will want it. And then I'll probably sell 10 of them in the next couple
of years. And then it'll probably have other people consider looking at other size showcase
CarCapsules, which they may buy. This is how this works. I have taken down
probably seven or eight videos ever. And one of them was when LZ, we took down the LZ videos for
a little while because he was dealing with something on the compound and the EPA and stuff.
And so we didn't want to have that video up there, but they're back up. And I had to take down all of
my Merrill Lynch content via Merrill Lynch. They made me take down a bunch of like the,
holy crap, I'm a financial advisor. When I got a job at Raymond James, I was able to put that
series back up. So your nonsense conspiracy theories, I bet you this guy just gets in a freaking
deep hole of conspiracy theories. But I know you think you found some great grand conspiracy,
but when you're watching me, you need to screw on your judgment barometer a little bit tighter,
because I have shared with you all of the details, all of the stuff. I just told you I make a 20%
margin when I sell them. I think that's fair. I would like it to be 40% because I don't stock
and ship them. And because they don't have high, high margins on those products, they don't have
enough to give me a better margin. But when I do this stuff, it's going to create more interest
in it. And it allows me to take new photos and write new descriptions. And I'm going to do that
with a bunch of them. And so what you're referring to back in the day was watching me mess with mine,
because I had the pole barn and didn't have a garage. And I was able to keep my car clean and
stored nicely. And so I made a lot of videos on it because it was part of my life at the time,
just like right now, making a lot of videos on organizing tool grid, because that's what's
in going on in my life at the time. So I hope that helps. Gosh. And let's see, people really don't
like the, oh, that's a good one. Let's go to the, let's see if there's any more on this.
And, and like, yes, I want to, so where we're bottling, you know, the other half of the garage
that I was doing, you want to know why I didn't build the garage? It's because the whole garage
was going to cost like $750,000 to build. I don't have $750,000 to just put into that. And so I shrunk
the project, got a bunch of sponsors. So SwissTrack sponsored the floor increase, sponsored the lighting,
Cox sponsored the hose reels. I already had a bunch of the Sonic MSS stuff around here. So I was able
to kind of put that, Crensla gave me a pressure washer, AR gave me the pressure washer. Modern
day gave me the vacuum. We did all the labor ourselves. And so I was able to build it for
probably $150,000. And the only way to do that was to shrink it down a little bit. I was going to
build an office and put walls in and it was going to be, you know, the million bucks to build the
thing. So yes, I would love to build the outdoor wash bay right now. I would love to do a bunch of
other, I'd love to take the other side of the building and tear this building apart and hire a
bunch of contractors, but we're doing it one room at a time. So I can't take over the other side of
that space is allocated, it's being used until we get the bullpen done and get the people in there,
then we can start the other part of the warehouse and I can start to put this thing together.
It's steps, steps at a time. So let's, let's look at the Tesla charger video.
And that's the freaking Tesla boom pole is the freaking coolest thing I've ever done.
It's amazing. It's like the freaking cord is not laying on the ground. It's plugged in right now.
It's great. So comments, let's see.
Great. Now the cord hangs in the way, just in the way, then just stepping over it on the ground.
Perfect. I don't understand that. It's, it's hanging, it's on a boom pole. I can now put,
I can plug it in either with a car backed in or pulled straight in and it's not in the way.
It's perfect. My charger cord doesn't touch the ground either. I leave the majority of the cord
coiled up on a custom hanger. My Model Y performance is always plugged in when I'm not, when I'm not
driving it. So I bought the house. I didn't have any option to do any pre-wiring, which most people
don't. So my charger is not in the right location. It's all the way in the front of the garage.
So I needed a boom pole.
I wanted a boom pole.
Of all the things you do in the garage is met. This has to be the ugly looking thing,
at least OG spec. It's a $1,000 T304 stainless boom pole with like sealed bearings. It's
a cable from the ceiling, not a freaking slope boom, boom with, with excess ugly cable. Well,
hey Dumbo, didn't we tell you in the video that we're going to cut the cord to length,
but we needed to order some ring terminals. Gosh. Anyway, I'm not going to do comments
anymore. This is going to be getting me in trouble because some of you are probably in here.

as well. So that way I have room to work in the garage and not just store them in there. So anyway,
