"Everybody told me you can't get a hand clutch to work on a Volkswagen. Well, I did."

"So I actually just cut through the middle of the roof just to stop it from, from, you know, from twisting up the body that much more. I was trying to save as much of it as possible, but it was destined for the scrappy yard."
A “scrappy yard” is basically a salvage yard. Cars that are too damaged to fix are often kept there so people can take parts off them.

"But the other thing that worked out good on that was the hidden door hinges. There's no hinges on the outside. Beetle hinges are external."

"And I also have a CR 500 Honda two stroke motorcycle I've been working on. [2503.8s] I put that engine into an SV 650 frame, which was kind of cool."

"I put that engine into an SV 650 frame, which was kind of cool. [2507.4s] But then I realized the frame's kind of big, heavy, bulky."

"I also have a CR 500 Honda two stroke motorcycle I've been working on. [2503.8s] I put that engine into an SV 650 frame, which was kind of cool."

"So I ended up getting a CR 250 dirt bike frame. [2522.4s] And put sport bike suspension on it."

"But show them up, which I do on the Ninja 250 too."

throttle
"So you just give it the light blip on the throttle really instantly."
The throttle is the control you use to tell the engine to make more power. A “light blip” is a quick, gentle press—just enough to get a moment of response.
The throttle is the control that regulates how much fuel/air the engine receives, which directly changes engine power. A “light blip” on the throttle means a quick, small input to momentarily increase engine output without committing to a larger opening.
governor
"And I think they max out with kid on it, 10 or 15 miles an hour governed. If you take the governor off, you might get 25, but I hit almost 60 miles an hour on it."
A governor is a safety feature that caps the bike’s top speed. It’s there so the bike can’t go as fast as it otherwise could.
A governor is a built-in limiter that restricts how fast a vehicle can go. On small bikes, it’s often set to a low top speed for safety, especially when used by kids.
200 CC
"So anyway, I ran out of road because it is only 200 CC. It takes a lot more road to get up to speed."
“200 CC” is a way of describing how big the bike’s engine is. Smaller CC usually means less power, so it can take longer to get up to speed.
“CC” refers to engine displacement in cubic centimeters, a measure of how much air/fuel the engine can move. A 200 CC engine typically means a small, lower-power bike that takes longer to accelerate and won’t feel as quick as larger-displacement machines.
wheelies
"I could ride it in my little front yard and not ever go in the street. Pull the wheelies up the hill."
Wheelies are when you accelerate and the front wheel comes up off the ground. It’s a stunt that’s usually easier on smaller, lighter bikes.
Wheelies are stunts where the front wheel lifts off the ground while the rider accelerates. They’re easier on small, light bikes because less weight and lower power can still generate enough front-end lift.
burnout
"I mean, it'll do burnout. It's kind of so small and it's so much fun."
A burnout is when you spin the tires while you’re not really going anywhere. It can make smoke and it usually wears the tires out faster.
A burnout is when the tires spin rapidly while the bike stays mostly in place, generating smoke and heat. It’s a way to test traction and tire grip, but it can also wear tires quickly.
fully geared up
"Yeah, that's a different story. I was fully geared up for that. I mean, knee pads, shoulder pads. I was wearing armor helmet."
“Fully geared up” means wearing safety gear before riding. It usually includes a helmet and pads to help protect you if you fall.

armor helmet
"I mean, knee pads, shoulder pads. I was wearing armor helmet. I was fully geared up gloves."

"A friend of mine was setting the end play on his engine. And you know, you put the three shims in there."
