NASCAR is a U.S. stock-car racing series known for oval tracks and close, door-to-door competition. Mentioning NASCAR alongside other motorsports signals the show’s broad coverage across different racing disciplines.
NHRA is a big organization that runs drag races in the U.S. It’s the kind of racing where cars accelerate hard over a short straight track to see who’s fastest.
A torque converter is an automatic-transmission component that helps the car get moving and accelerate. A “converter” from a performance shop is usually chosen to make the engine rev into its power band more effectively.
Piston rings are part of the engine’s moving seal system. They help keep engine pressure from leaking past the piston and they also help manage oil so the engine doesn’t burn or leak it.
Company
FTI performance
FTI Performance is a company that makes performance parts for cars. Their products are often used to help the car accelerate harder by matching the drivetrain to the engine’s power.
Company
HussiePerformance.net
HussiePerformance.net is likely a performance parts or service website. It’s being mentioned as someone who supports the show, similar to a shop or brand.
Bernie’s Speed Shop sounds like a local performance shop that supports the show. Shops like this often help with upgrades and getting cars set up to run well.
Company
Marvin Rodak
Marvin Rodak is a person the host knows and talked to recently. In this segment, the focus is more on the conversation and his coffee than on car tech.
Red Line is a brand of synthetic engine oil. Using a performance-focused oil can help protect the engine, particularly if you drive hard or have a modified engine.
“Super street” is a racing category where cars are modified to run quicker, but they’re not as extreme as full race cars. Think “serious street car” racing rules rather than a totally stripped-down race build.
South Georgia Motorsports Park is a race track in Georgia. If someone won there, it means they did really well at that track recently.
Topic
one national event opportunity a year in the Southeastern division
They’re talking about how the racing schedule is split by region (like a Southeastern division). You only get a single yearly chance to go to a national event from that region, so people plan around that.
A “12 hour tow” implies the car is transported for about half a day, usually because the event is far away or logistics require moving the vehicle rather than driving it. For racers, long tow times can affect planning, fatigue, and how quickly the car can be inspected and prepped on arrival.
Concept
super gas car
“Super Gas” is a type of drag-racing category. It’s not just a brand or model—it’s a set of rules for what the car is allowed to be, so a “super gas car” is typically set up to compete in that class.
“Turnkey” means you can buy it and use it right away. It’s usually already set up, so you don’t have to do a bunch of extra fixing or building before it’s ready.
A “caution” means something happened on the track, so everyone slows down. It can help or hurt drivers because the pack gets closer and teams may change their plans.
They’re talking about doing math on the season—like how many races are left and what results are likely. It’s basically a forecast based on past performance.
A road course is a track with lots of turns, more like a traditional race track than an oval. Winning there usually takes good driving through corners, not just speed on straights.
Term
torque calibration
Torque calibration is basically tuning how the car decides to deliver power. It can change how smooth and responsive the car feels when you press the gas.
Term
positive torque wrenches
This sounds like a reference to torque being applied in the “tightening” direction, not the “loosening” direction. In plain terms: it’s about setting things so the car or parts behave in the intended torque direction.
Concept
overhaul this winner
The phrase “overhaul this winner” suggests they’re avoiding a full engine rebuild and instead doing a targeted refresh. In performance circles, that often means addressing specific wear items (like piston rings) rather than tearing the whole engine down.
Compression ratio is how much the engine squeezes the air-fuel mixture before it ignites. Higher compression can make more power, but it can also cause knocking if the fuel or tune isn’t right.
Term
Mega 4 75 box
A “box” here likely means an aftermarket computer/module that helps the engine run better for racing. It can adjust things like fuel and ignition so the car makes more power.
Concept
elapsed-time (ET) drag racing numbers
Those “nine-something” numbers are drag-racing performance times. Faster cars post smaller ET numbers, and things like tire grip and weight can change the result.
They’re referencing how fast the car will run using racing time numbers. In drag racing, these times are a standard way to compare performance between cars.
They’re talking about how much the car weighs. In racing, extra weight usually makes it harder to accelerate quickly, so lighter cars often run faster.
The Gator Nationals is a drag racing meet. Racers show up and compete in different categories, and it’s part of the bigger NHRA drag racing world.
Topic
divisional stuff
Divisional racing means regional events in different parts of the country. Racers compete locally and build results that can lead to bigger opportunities.
“Sportsman classes” are drag racing categories below the top professional levels, often focused on bracket-style competition and regional participation. They’re popular with fans because the racing is competitive and accessible, and the cars/bikes can be closer to what enthusiasts actually build and drive.
Concept
AI
AI is software that can learn patterns from data and then help make decisions or generate content. The hosts are basically saying AI is everywhere in the media right now.
Concept
hidden horsepower show
“Hidden horsepower” means there’s more power in the car than you’d guess just by looking at it. It usually comes from smart engineering or tuning that makes the engine perform better than expected.
Concept
Chile Bowl
The Chile Bowl is a racing event. Saying the engine was built to run there means it was designed for competition conditions, not just everyday driving.
CNC is a way of making parts with machines that follow computer instructions. It helps produce very precise components, which is useful when building a high-performance engine.
Engine tuning is changing settings so the engine makes power more efficiently. On a track, people do it to get better acceleration and smoother running for that day’s conditions.
A track context implies repeated high-load driving where engine temperatures and combustion conditions change quickly. That’s why tuning decisions (like ignition timing) matter more on track than in normal street driving.
Timing is when the spark plug fires during the engine cycle. If it’s set earlier (advanced) it can make more power, but if it’s too early the engine can start knocking and get damaged.
Claude AI is an AI assistant used for tasks like technical writing and summarizing information. In this segment, it’s mentioned as a tool the speaker uses at work, setting up the broader idea of using AI to help with technical decisions.
Notebook LM is a Google AI tool. The speaker is saying it has certain limits on what it will do, which matters when you’re relying on AI for technical help.
“Top Sportsman” is a drag-racing class level for non-pro cars. The hosts are basically saying that more people will move into that class and buy certain kinds of race cars.
Term
scoopless cars
A “scoopless” car is one without the hood scoop you often see on race cars. In racing, that scoop can be tied to how the engine breathes and what the rules allow.
Concept
Pro stock trucks
“Pro stock trucks” are drag-racing trucks that are built to compete at a high level. The point here is that even these serious race trucks can sometimes show up for sale at surprising prices.
Company
Jerry Haas
They mention Jerry Haas as a name associated with winning in Pro Stock drag racing. The takeaway is that his cars/program are seen as top-tier, so people chase that level of equipment.
“Rolling” in a car sale usually means it can move under its own power and has the key parts mounted, like wheels and basic running gear. It may still need additional work to be race-ready.
Concept
power plants competing
“Power plant” just means the car’s engine or how it makes power. When they say different power plants are competing, they mean different engine setups are racing under the same rules.
They bring up Ford because they’re wondering whether Ford is involved and where the parts come from. It’s basically about who’s building/supplying the hardware.
Concept
parody class
The hosts say “parody class” and that you “lose something” when you make it a parody class. In racing contexts, this usually means the rules or format become more of a staged/imitative version of the real thing, which can reduce authenticity or engineering freedom.
They say “Chevy” because the rules are changing for the Chevrolet side of the competition. The “ten two” part sounds like a limit or target number the rules are using.
“Small blocks” usually means a smaller V8 engine compared to a bigger one. Racing series sometimes adjust weight or other rules so different engine sizes can compete more evenly.
Concept
pro Camaro
“Pro Camaro” sounds like a racing class name that’s tied to the Camaro. The point being made is that the class name/rules are changing, which can affect how people perceive the competition.
The Toyota Supra is a well-known sports car. When people mention it in racing development, they’re usually talking about how its shape and aerodynamics help it go faster.
The Chevrolet Camaro is another well-known sports car. Here it’s mentioned because its shape was tested in a wind tunnel to see how air affects performance.
Aerodynamics is how the car cuts through the air. Better aerodynamics can help the car stick to the road and go faster, especially in corners, even if the engine is the same.
In racing, “parity” means the rules try to make different cars perform closer to each other. That way, one brand or engine type doesn’t automatically win just because it’s more powerful or more advanced.
A “blower” is a forced-induction device. Overdrive/underdrive means you spin it faster or slower than the engine, which changes how much extra air it pushes in.
This means the cars are made to “look and shape” similarly so they don’t have a big advantage just from aerodynamics. Then races are more about skill and tuning instead of one car being naturally faster in the air.
They mention the Mustang shape used for racing. The goal is to avoid one brand having an aerodynamic advantage just because of its body design.
Brand
GM body
They’re talking about a General Motors car body used in racing. The point is to make the different brands’ cars behave similarly in airflow.
Term
DRCE engine
This sounds like a rule that forces different cars to use the same engine. That helps keep costs down and makes the racing more about setup and driving than who has the best engine.
In racing, a “level playing field” means the rules try to prevent one team from having a huge advantage just because they can spend more money. The goal is closer competition for everyone.
In racing, shape matters because it changes how air moves around the car. If they say there’s “no aerodynamic difference,” they mean the change doesn’t really make the car faster or stickier to the track. It’s basically saying the scoop isn’t giving a big advantage.
A hood scoop is an opening on the hood that helps bring air in. In drag racing, that air can help the engine run better. The hosts are debating whether scoops give one body style an unfair advantage.
Concept
Nitro
“Nitro” is shorthand for a nitromethane-fueled style of drag racing. The speaker is comparing how that racing world handles different car brands and bodies.
The Dodge Nitro is a Dodge SUV-style vehicle. The podcast is saying its basic design and structure are similar to another model, meaning some parts and layout ideas carry over. That helps explain why two different cars might feel or work similarly underneath.
The Dodge Dart is a Dodge model name. In racing, people talk about which car brand/model should represent Dodge, even though the race car is heavily modified to meet pro-stock rules.
The Dodge Challenger is a Dodge muscle car. The hosts are talking about whether Dodge should use it in pro stock racing and how the car’s look—like an angular body—could make it stand out.
Concept
Electric (switching to Electric)
They’re talking about switching to electric power in racing. The idea is that even if the drivetrain changes, the race car can still keep the same overall platform and look.
“Stock trim” means the car is in its factory configuration, without performance modifications. When someone says it’s going “185 in stock trim,” they’re implying that number is achieved without aftermarket upgrades. This is useful because it sets a baseline for what the car can do as-built.
A “big tire under the back” usually means a wider rear tire. That gives the car more grip when you accelerate hard. More grip can help the car go faster because the wheels are less likely to spin.
Company
NHRE tech
“NHRE tech” sounds like the technical experts the host wants to talk to. They’re likely the people who know the engineering side of what will work and what won’t. The host is trying to get a clearer understanding from them before moving on.
The Chevrolet Nova is an older American performance car. In this podcast, it’s mentioned as part of a themed segment name, so it’s being used as a recognizable car reference. The discussion isn’t about a specific new feature—more about the Nova being the topic.
“Outlaw Street” sounds like a racing category or event style. The hosts are saying it’s new to this venue, so it’s worth knowing what kind of competition it is.
The hosts mention the group being “very popular” when they were on Discovery Channel, framing the event’s current momentum and audience familiarity. This is relevant as a media-to-motorsports crossover that can affect fan expectations and event turnout.
Pro Stock Motorcycle is the drag-racing class for bikes, similar in spirit to Pro Stock cars. The hosts are wondering if events usually include one or the other (cars or bikes) at the same time.
In drag racing, classes are often organized by how fast the car or bike runs, measured in elapsed time (like 10.5 seconds). They’re talking about creating a new class for that kind of performance level.
Topic
outlaw 10 five
“Outlaw 10.5” is a drag racing category name used to describe a performance tier (again tied to elapsed time around the 10.5s) with looser or different rules than more standardized classes. The hosts compare a proposed NHRA class to being “just shy of outlaw 10 five,” suggesting a boundary between rule sets or competitiveness.
Bracket racing is drag racing where you’re aiming for a specific time instead of racing for the absolute fastest run. You set a target time, then your goal is to be as close as possible to it with each run.
In an index class, the rules set a target performance number for everyone. Drivers are judged on how closely they hit that target, so setup and consistency matter a lot.
NHRA events are official drag races run under the NHRA organization. It’s one of the biggest drag-racing organizations in the U.S., so “NHRA events” usually means a well-known, structured race weekend.
Pro Mod is a drag racing class for extremely fast, highly modified cars. It’s popular and gets a lot of attention, so adding another class at the same events could make the show even more exciting.
“Factory stock showdown” is basically a competition where cars are supposed to be near-stock, not heavily modified. The speakers are saying it’s less fun to watch than more extreme builds.
Here, “Mustang” means the Fox-body Ford Mustang generation. These are older Mustangs that many people modify for faster driving or racing. The podcast is basically saying there are lots of different Fox-body Mustang setups and topics people talk about.
“Run in the seven” refers to elapsed times in the 7-second range, which is extremely fast for a drag car. The speaker is using it to argue that certain cars are genuinely capable, even if the event format isn’t their favorite to watch.
Concept
factory showdown
This is basically a “race it like it’s stock” concept. The hosts are saying the rules didn’t really keep the cars truly stock, so people ended up doing big, expensive work just to make the car competitive.
They’re talking about how “stock” the car really is. If the car isn’t truly set up to stay like the factory version, racers have to take it apart and rebuild it, which gets expensive fast.
“Pure stock” means the car is basically unmodified. They’re using it as a starting point to show how much faster the car becomes after people do the race setup.
A “top dragster” is a race car built specifically for drag racing. The point here is that if you’re spending huge money to make a regular car compete, you might be better off building a dedicated drag racer.
Concept
Factory X car
“Factory X” sounds like a racing category where the car is built to be closer to a production-style vehicle. The hosts are talking about how much more it can cost to build and run that kind of car compared to Pro Stock.
“Steel wheels and quarters” refers to using steel components for the wheels and the car’s quarter panels/body sections. In racing, these choices can affect weight, durability, and cost, and they’re cited here as reasons the “factory X” build was more expensive.
Concept
sports collision
This sounds like the hosts are switching to a new topic about sports. It doesn’t clearly describe a specific car part or racing rule in the way other terms do here.
A torque converter is the automatic-transmission part that transfers power from the engine to the wheels using fluid. For racing, builders choose a torque converter that helps the car launch quicker instead of feeling sluggish off the line.
Monster Jam is a show where huge trucks do big jumps and tricks. The trucks travel to different cities, so when they say “the whole tour,” they mean it was happening across multiple stops.
Car
Grave Digger
Grave Digger is a famous monster truck. People recognize it by its look, and it’s been part of Monster Jam for a long time.
Part
fell pro gasket
A gasket is a thin seal that helps stop leaks between engine parts. “Fel-Pro” is a brand people trust for replacement gaskets, so seeing one in the garage usually means someone is working on a car repair.
Company
scag equipment sticker
SCAG is a manufacturer best known for commercial lawn equipment (mowers and related tools). A “SCAG equipment sticker” in a garage suggests the host’s shop is used for more than just cars, and it’s a clue about the kind of tools and work environment they have.
“Underdogs” are the teams or drivers that usually aren’t expected to be the best. When they do well, it’s exciting because it shows they’re improving and competing with bigger teams.
A crew chief is the lead strategist for a drag racing team, responsible for car setup decisions and race-day strategy. They coordinate with engineers and the driver to adjust the car’s tune to match track conditions and performance goals.
Concept
parody quests
“Parody” here sounds like organizers trying to balance the competition by changing rules or car setups. Even when the goal is fairness, the changes can sometimes make one car perform worse.
Downforce is the “suction” effect from the car’s shape that presses the tires to the ground. More downforce can help the car stick, but changing it (like more on the front) can make the car handle differently and sometimes hurt performance.
Sometimes race organizers try to make cars perform more similarly by tweaking aero. But if the tweak doesn’t suit a specific car’s handling, it can make that car worse instead of better.
Sydney Dragway is the drag strip where the event is happening. Things like track conditions and weather can change how well the cars hook up and how fast they run.
In racing, “entries” refers to the number of cars/teams registered to compete. The hosts use entry counts to communicate event size and competitiveness, including how many cars are expected to show up and how many spots remain open.
EVs are electric cars that run on batteries instead of gasoline. The discussion is basically about how EVs are showing up in Australia and who’s selling the most.
BYD is a company that makes electric cars and the batteries that power them. The hosts are saying BYD is doing really well in Australia, even compared to Tesla.
Tesla is one of the best-known electric-car brands. In this conversation, it’s mentioned because BYD is supposedly selling more EVs than Tesla in Australia.
A turbo helps a smaller engine make more power. It’s like giving the engine a boost so it can work harder when it needs to, without using a bigger engine.
A hybrid uses both electricity and a gasoline engine. In this case, the gas engine is mostly used to help keep the battery charged so the car can rely on electric power for everyday driving.
It means the car can charge its battery by plugging into a wall or charger. If you do that, you can drive more on electric power instead of using gasoline all the time.
The speaker is making a use-case argument: plug-in hybrids tend to fit best when daily driving is mostly short trips. If you rarely do long-distance travel, you can rely more on charging and electric operation, improving cost and convenience.
The Chevy Volt is a hybrid that can drive using electricity from its battery. When the battery gets low, a small gas engine starts acting like a generator to make electricity so you can keep driving.
In this kind of hybrid, the gas engine is mainly there to make electricity. The car still moves using electric power, and the engine helps by charging the battery or supplying electricity.
A gas engine is the normal kind of engine that runs on gasoline. In a hybrid, it can team up with an electric motor instead of doing all the work alone.
“Coast to coast” just means driving across the whole country, from one side to the other. People bring it up to talk about whether a car can handle long distances without running into problems like running out of fuel.
A V8 engine is a type of gas engine with eight cylinders. It’s known for making strong power and sounding good, which is why some people really like them.
“Big diesels” means large diesel engines, like the ones used for heavy work and hauling. They’re valued because they pull hard and can go farther on fuel.
Fuel rationing means there’s a limit on how much gas you’re allowed to get. When that happens, people have to plan trips more carefully and may not be able to drive as freely.
Refineries are factories that turn crude oil into the fuels cars use. If a refinery closes or has an accident, less fuel gets made, so prices can rise.
Refinery capacity is how much fuel a refinery can produce under normal conditions. If a refinery is operating at reduced capacity (for example, after an incident), total output falls, which can tighten supply and drive up prices.
A fuel crisis means there isn’t enough fuel available or it’s getting much more expensive. When refineries or supply chains struggle, prices can jump quickly and you may see shortages.
Concept
refinery is very important
A refinery is where crude oil gets processed into fuels people can buy, like diesel. If refineries aren’t running well, there’s less fuel available, and prices can jump.
Concept
"full-powered" car (context: coal/energy discussion)
They mention a “full-powered” car, but they don’t explain what kind of car or what power system they mean. It sounds like they’re talking about a vehicle with a lot of power, but the details aren’t clear from this clip.
Topic
fuel bill
They’re talking about how much money they spent on gas (or fuel) and how that number jumped. When fuel gets more expensive, it costs more to drive the same car, so it changes your day-to-day costs.
They’re saying lots of Chinese electric-car brands are showing up and selling locally. When that happens, it can change prices and also affect things like parts and service later on.
Brand
S-E-R-E-S-G-O
They’re talking about a Chinese electric-vehicle brand whose name is spelled out on the show. The point is that this company is in the news for a weird patent idea, so it’s worth figuring out who they are.
They’re talking about a patent idea where an electric car would include a toilet inside the cabin. The toilet would slide out from the passenger seat, which is a very unusual way to add a convenience feature.
The NHRA U.S. Nationals is a major drag-racing event. Think of it like one of the biggest “racing holidays” of the year where top teams compete for wins.
The Indy 500 is one of the biggest open-wheel races in the U.S. It’s a major event that many people recognize immediately.
Topic
spring fling
“Spring fling” is likely the name of a particular race weekend. These events are usually organized around a specific track and set of rules for that weekend.
Topic
Dorana Galat Raceway
They’re talking about a specific race track people are going to. Different tracks feel different, so teams and drivers often change how they set up the car for each one.
A “sportsman championship” is a racing title for regular competitors, not the very top pro level. It usually rewards consistent driving and good results over the season.
They’re referring to a drag race event at Cecil County. Drag racing is when cars race in a straight line to see which one is fastest over a short distance.
Topic
races up north
The hosts mention possibly getting “closer up north,” implying they’ll attend additional racing events in a different region. In motorsports communities, this often means traveling to nearby tracks or events with similar formats.
Topic
D.W.
“D.W.” looks like a shorthand for a driver name. The hosts mention it in a list, but the full identity isn’t clear from this snippet.
Tyler Reddick is a NASCAR driver. The hosts are basically saying he’s a standout and could be a big deal going forward.
Topic
WFO Radio Podcast
“WFO” here is the name of the show/community the hosts are talking about. They’re basically saying they were the first to notice or predict something about a driver’s performance.
Topic
Sue's Pit
They’re saying the giveaway will be done at Sue’s Pit. Think of it like the place where the giveaway is organized.
Topic
Miami Hollywood Speedway T-shirts
They’re talking about track-themed merch for Miami Hollywood Speedway. It’s basically a way to show support for the racing community around that venue.
Surface rust is the early, light rust that shows up on top of metal. If you catch it early, you can usually clean or treat it before it turns into deeper damage.
They mention Summit Racing Equipment as a source for performance/garage supplies. It’s basically a store many car people use to buy parts and chemicals.
A gasket is a seal between engine parts. “Composite” gaskets are made from layered materials, and they’re designed to stay sealed even as the engine heats up and cools down.
Copper gaskets are made from copper and are used to seal engine parts. Copper can handle heat well and can help the seal stay tight when things get hot.
Roush Yates Racing Engines is a company that builds engines for racing. If someone worked there, it usually means they have experience making engines that can handle serious track or competition stress.
They’re talking about a very high power level to show what race engines can do. It’s not typical of normal cars—it usually requires serious tuning and strong engine parts.
Full-billet means the engine parts are cut from a solid block of metal instead of being cast. For racing, that can help parts survive higher loads, but it usually costs more.
Midget cars are small race cars that run on short, high-intensity events. Using a three-cylinder engine can be a way to get strong performance while keeping the engine compact and race-focused.
The Chili Bowl is a famous midget-car race event. The hosts are using it as an example of where these kinds of race engines are used.
LIVE
This is Joe Costello's WFRadio Ignition, covering everything that has wheels, an engine, and a driver.
The reason I race is to get the chicks, you know what I mean?
NASCAR, IndyCar, Formula One, sports cars, and NHRA drag racing.
Hey guys, just want to let you know WFRock.
WFRadio is total motorsports.
It's just so cool.
Fasten your seatbelts, fire up the ignition, and drop the hammer.
Yeah, let's do it.
Now, here's your host, Joe Costello.
WFO, how's everybody doing out there? WFRadio back on the air, the audio-only extravaganza that is ignition.
I'm going to be talking a little NHRA drag racing, a little NASCAR, a little whatever is on the docket with the WFO patrons and everybody else out there in the audio-only world listening to ignition.
You know, our numbers, it's interesting, as more things have expanded, we've got a really good core group of ignition listeners out there, and a lot of them come up at the NHRA and say,
hey, man, I'm an ignition listener.
They know that that really endears them to me.
Like, oh, you listen to our BS.
Yeah, all the BS that you guys put out there, man, I'm buying it.
It's like, all right, it's cool.
Like the hot topics in the Giovanni Miami and the lessons from the Bug Barn and Sue Morris and everybody's getting ready for Charlotte this weekend.
I'm excited about that.
It's all happening.
Now, I decided to spare everybody.
I experiment.
I'm always experimenting.
All kinds of different stuff.
Test, test, test, like legal Larry said a long time ago.
Right.
Remember that starter expand your business today.
I know Geo does.
That's like nobody ever shouts that one out to me, but that's OK.
But the spots before the open on ignition, I decided to kick it back to the way we were doing it.
And I'll just tell you the people that are great to me like Larisse Motorsports Insurance and Total Seal piston rings and FTI performance and Jesse Converters.
You guys, you guys know, you know what's up.
When you need these people, you got to go to these people to support the show.
Red Line Synthetic Oil, Bernie's Speed Shop, HussiePerformance.net, Frank Hollies and my main man, Marvin Rodak, who I spoke with the other day.
Briefly, I spoke with Marvin at a nice little conversation with Marvin.
He's got his coffee in this very swanky Fort Worth restaurant and they are using all Rodak's coffee.
And it's pretty cool that he is he's roasting his tail off is what he's doing.
He's doing a lot of roasting.
So that's going on.
And here we are.
Let's bring on Giovanni in Miami.
What's up, Geo?
How are you?
My shirt.
All right.
All right.
I did a Monday Motivation for Patreons.
That's the shirt that you get when you're a Patreon guys, something like that.
Although I think I am out of extra larges now, which makes sense.
Because everybody's an extra large or bigger.
Yeah, that's true.
A lot of people are bigger these days.
But what was I thinking when I got mediums?
What was I thinking like medium?
Who wears medium?
Do I?
I don't wear medium.
My son does.
Yeah.
For now, right?
He's 15.
When he's 17, he's not going to wear mediums.
He's going to be wearing an extra large.
Give me a new one, Uncle Joe.
Fast Eddie's out there.
Derek's out there.
They're all in the chat.
I see Matt in Australia has already signed on.
That's good.
Everybody's being trained.
They were going faster these days.
Everything is faster.
It's quicker.
That signal.
And you know what I think about when I think quicker and faster?
I think about Sue Morris.
What's up?
What's going on?
What's up?
It's Monday night.
It's WFO.
And it is Charlotte.
It's Charlotte Week, baby.
Woo.
And the Z-Max.
And the Z-Max.
Okay. Super street in action.
And my friend Corey is going and Rick,
who won South Georgia Motorsports Park.
Yeah, everybody's going.
I was, I was looking for him on the list the other day.
And I didn't see him.
I was like, son of.
So he's coming.
I think he's coming.
I could still get into this one.
No, no, no.
I didn't say that he couldn't get in.
I said, I didn't see him on the list.
No, it probably wasn't on the list because he was dilly
dallying and creating.
I don't want to reveal too much about my wonderful.
It's all good.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Well, maybe I don't know.
You know, whereas Rick,
I think we should absolutely go.
This is your one national event opportunity a year in the
Southeastern division to run super street.
Yes.
It's a 12 hour tow.
You got to do it.
Absolutely.
You got to do it.
I want.
You guys were kind of trying to compel me to go up and try
to run the national.
We were, we were.
But that was until situations got a little funky, but yes.
Well, even, even afterwards we talked about it.
It's just not possible.
And you know what else?
I'm not ready to race mentally.
I'm not.
We'll be a waste of my time and a couple of thousand dollars.
It will be a waste.
I'm not there.
No.
You got to be there.
We're there.
We're going to run each other in the final round or maybe
Jason.
And he one of us, right?
We're going after it.
Look at him.
Yeah.
Yes.
It's going to be awesome.
And Rick is going to run top sportsman and we got a
bunch of good stuff going on.
And congrats again and, and go out there and watch the
interview with Rick.
That was awesome.
Seeing his diamond lollies talking about his car that's
for sale too.
The car that's for sale that if you are looking for a really
high quality super gas car for a, what I think to be a
pretty reasonable number, he's told me the number.
And I think it's pretty reasonable for a turnkey
super gas car to 565 that's ready to go with zero
runs.
You should reach out to me and I'll put you guys
together.
And that way I get my face.
You know, I could wet the beak a little bit.
Right.
You know, you know, gotta get a little taste.
Works.
Everybody's got to eat.
He's like, you got to sell this car for me.
I was like, looks like you're going to interview.
Here we go.
Bring it.
Bring it.
Yeah.
Hey, Troy and Oregon is down there.
He's got a big show tonight.
Yes.
He's got, he's got Macy on.
Macy.
Go ahead.
I know you're only on here.
Oh,
he's got a famous.
Podcast.
And now.
I'm there.
I'm a big ignition guy.
Now he's got his own thing going.
This is.
I'm not doing this.
It's well deserved.
I'm still a big ignition guy.
I listen back to it every week.
We just made the unfortunate mistake.
I'm not doing this.
I'm not doing this.
I'm not doing this.
I'm not doing this.
I'm not doing this.
I'm not doing this.
I'm not doing this.
But we just made the unfortunate mistake.
Of putting our show at the exact same time as Ignition.
Yeah.
That's not today though,
because Macy.
Is in college.
And she has classes that run late today.
So that.
So the bracket breakdown will be at 7.
PM.
Pacific time today,
which allowed me to come and see my people.
And I'm not here just to promote the bracket breakdown.
That's not why I'm here.
Nice little, I like it.
No, I'm here to see my people.
Well, so when we're done with this for our, you know, recording session,
because then the show goes up afterwards.
And of course the Patreons get it first.
We don't go live with this one because it's just too much controversy.
Too much controversy.
But we may, we may go over and we may go watch you, Troy,
and we may prove to you that that time schedule is much better
and that you should do that every week because you'll actually, you know,
you'll have the whole crew come over and see what you're doing,
as opposed to going directly against us.
What were you thinking?
I, well, I wanted to see, I wanted to force a choice and see if I could
force any viewers over and they all stuck loyalty.
No, man, I was half the time I want to go watch.
No, you know, in the winter time, I actually like the idea in the summer.
It's a great way to kill the long evening that you get, right?
By moving it to seven.
So I don't know that we'll move it.
But in the winter, maybe we would.
Yeah.
When it's dark at four, you know.
Yeah.
That's Seattle stuff you're talking about.
I don't really get it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Up here in these Northern latitudes, you guys don't know nothing about
that down in the tropical.
No, but I'm here.
I mean, I guarantee we're talking about 23 XI.
We're talking about the goat.
Yeah.
He's the goat in NASCAR now.
Great. Right now.
Yeah.
Dude, it's so cool.
He's the pint size, Michael Jordan.
I love it.
Yeah.
I mean, who knew Tyler Reddick was that good?
But apparently he's that good.
He is that good?
Yeah.
Well, you don't, you know, back into five wins in the first nine
races or whatever it is, you know, catching some lucky breaks
with Danny leading and a caution coming out, but that's part
of racing.
You got to be in position.
I like it.
I think we already started crunching the numbers.
Before the show started and we decided to bring it onto the air
in that.
And Gio is going to bring up a couple of those, you know, most
wins seasons in NASCAR.
I think Jeff Gordon, 98, 13, something like that.
That's a big deal.
And obviously that's a tall task.
But, you know, is Tyler Reddick going to get shut out from
here to the end of the year?
Like, I don't think so.
He's going to win.
No.
You don't want at least three.
There's going to be at least a road course win out there.
I think there's three more wins in him at least.
And that would put him at eight.
One of the winningest seasons of all time.
I remember Ryan Newman at an eight-win season.
I think maybe, I don't even know.
It's a, it's a huge deal to win five races in any one
season, let alone in the first nine.
It's crazy.
Pretty impressive.
Gio, how do I have more sun than you?
Already this year.
I mean, I thought I was a little bit of getting some color, man.
I've been hanging out.
It's the camera, Troy.
It's the camera.
The quality of my video equipment over here.
Yes.
Pre, I say this goes back to like, possibly even pre-pandemic
era type of a technology in this office right now.
Oh, yeah.
That's, that's fair.
I don't actually get 10.
I just get redder.
I just get more and more red.
Yeah.
Which camera are you using there, Gio?
Now that we.
The one out from the computer.
The one that's in the laptop.
Yeah.
So am I.
And it even has a fingerprint on it.
Yeah, but is that a Mac?
You got a Mac going, don't you?
I do.
Yeah, there it is.
Same.
And what people don't realize since we're on this topic.
The Mac does make a difference.
I will say.
Yeah.
100% Courtney Anders was on with one of our.
Calls for an HR and I'm like, what are you using?
She's like, I'm using my MacBook.
It's like, okay.
This is what I look on the MacBook.
The Mac people.
Tim Cook is a step down.
They've named a new CEO.
That's big news by the way.
Their cameras are way better on everything.
And everybody wants to use their laptop camera.
It's, it's garbage guys.
If you got a PC,
you're not going to be able to use your laptop camera.
And the camera in it is not really.
That good.
So you probably want to invest in a different camera.
If you're doing any kind of streaming or just get a Mac.
Now I am on a PC with a different camera that I bought.
I got a logitech 4k.
And it's just Matt.
Like, I don't think it's that great.
But Geo's. Yeah.
Trocious.
But that's the thing.
He's got to look worse than me.
Otherwise we're doing something wrong.
I've been thinking about you a lot, Geo.
I've been thinking about you a lot lately.
And who I'd love.
Gosh, I wish I'd have found that guy a long time ago.
You're listening to Miami sports radio,
like Hockman and Crowder.
Is that what you're listening to?
He listens to.
Yeah.
And now Stu gots and Hockman have their own.
Show.
It's Stu gots and Hockman.
They're back together.
Right.
I knew that Stu gots was doing a show in New York.
And I've heard it like in the afternoons on the weekend when I've
been driving around.
But I did not know that he was doing a show with Hockman.
I don't know that he had a couple of other local guys,
like Izzy from the, you know, the writer and the ESPN guy,
but Izzy Gutierrez.
Yeah.
But no, I, you know, I know Stu gots, you know,
he's a, he's a big star, man.
I thought, well, he is time.
It was time.
And, and the Stu gots and Hockman show is really just them
reminiscing about Miami sports,
like the old days when they were together.
So that was the hire, like in my opinion,
we're grading the Stu gots arc and everything.
The Hockman hire, he's a creative person.
Clearly he kind of made the rails that run on time.
If you will with that show, like every show's got to have a good
producer and he was very good with those guys and then got
the opportunity to host his own show.
And so we ditched and left.
And he's been on the air.
What?
Has it been 20 years yet?
Gio, I mean, the Hockman has been on by himself for a long time
down here.
Yeah.
He left the dance show way, way, way long time ago.
I can't remember when to be fair.
Those early, those early days, like douche, no douche, you
know?
Yeah.
Well, that was right before they got on ESPN when they
were still only local.
When they were still only local, 790.
Well, with Tim Hardaway, you know, who says like,
I hate gay people.
It's like, Tim, are you sure you really want to say that
on the air?
Tim?
Yeah.
Of course I want to say that.
And all of a sudden they got blown up nationally.
A bunch of different things.
But yeah, Hockman was a big, big, big count.
I love me.
He's got a great radio voice and he's been talking about
the Gio from New York Sports Radio.
But every time he talks about Gio, I always think about
Gio in Miami.
Of course.
You know, there's only one Gio.
I didn't know that he was talking about a different Gio
for a while because he was in, because he was in Florida.
I'm like, well, maybe he's talking about that Gio.
And so I had to like do some research because I almost texted
you and be like, Hockman's talking about you, bro.
We wish.
But then he wasn't.
But he should.
And I was thinking about you nonetheless, Gio.
I've been thinking about you, buddy.
It's like what?
13 U season like full on right now.
Right?
Are you in baseball?
I'm so out of the loop, man.
Oh, man.
You know what just ended?
Freshman year of high school baseball.
Oh, not 13 U anymore.
We're in the.
No, that was like two years ago.
He's, if he were to play in that kind of bar, he'd be 15.
You know, but anyhow, no, he's out.
He's in high school now and he was on the, on the JV team
and the season just ended this past weekend that just
happened.
And so we've, we've just finished the first year
of high school ball.
There you go.
He played on the, on the, on the freshman team last year,
even though he wasn't in high school yet, but,
so he was on the JV team this year at the actual one.
He actually went to school.
And so yeah, man, things are going great for him.
You know, he's a typical teenager.
And things are great.
Things are not things are great.
Things are not, but he's a good kid mostly.
And, but like any good teenager, you know, I try,
I try to remember what it was like to be a kid and not
forget, but man, you know, it's, it's not easy.
It's not easy.
Try to be a good influence and not be a D bag.
No, I get it, man.
I think you're doing a great job.
Oh, look at the band is back together.
Woo.
So you guys come every week.
So it's like, yeah, these guys are right.
You're the only reason the band is back together.
Bobby Graham took down a big giant tree on his property
and Matt in Australia called you a trader,
trader, trader.
You know, I, I would expect something like that from Maddie.
You know, Joe gave me a lot of, a lot of encouragement and,
and, you know, props for flying the coop and, and then of course,
my guy, Maddie, nothing but insults from down under.
That's right.
Hey, there's Australians, man.
They're turning their back on us.
Just watch, you know, what's Joe Troy, what he actually did with
all the Patreons has told them the whole story about your show
tonight.
So none of us have to watch.
It's like, there's a movie coming on.
I'm going to tell you what's going on.
Not true.
Because it's basically, I mean, Troy,
that probably doesn't have anything interesting.
But Macy definitely does.
He gave, he gave the whole backstory Troy.
He basically told about all the wins about what she wants
to do, what she doesn't want to do.
Like he basically interviewed her for the Patreons without her
being there from his past experiences.
Mate, I don't really need to watch your show tonight.
Well, there you go.
Then maybe you don't.
There it is.
Maybe you don't.
Damn.
You know, a guy from, he talks real tough for a guy that's
15,000 miles away, you know?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Say it to my, why don't you say it to my face, Matt?
Come on over here.
Yeah.
That experience you had with the other Matt.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It'd be pretty similar.
Troy, did you catch a beating from a guy named Matt?
No, he's talking about when I was dissing on Hagan and,
and, uh,
Oh, that's great.
Oh yeah.
You just have great memories.
You remember years ago.
Yeah.
I just let it go.
Whatever it is.
Matt, I'm take, I'll take torque calibration off the flyer
in a heartbeat.
Oh, man.
The trash talk is happening.
Whoa.
So now I'll be positive torque wrenches instead of negative.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You'll be a.
Yikes.
This is escalating quickly.
This is what happens, right?
Like, you know,
Gary and Jackie, the joke,
they would always get into feuds and like Matt,
you know,
the beetle juice and, and all these different, you know,
Troy and Matt are having a scuffle.
Two of the, uh, you know, the WFO, uh, whatever.
Well,
that's just, you know,
he carries that eternal chip on his shoulder because his flag
still has the English flag up in the corner.
Oh.
So it's like, it's like that Australian thing.
They just got that British chip on their shoulder.
Where's you get to pile on?
Yeah, really?
All right.
Let's move on.
How long are you hanging out for, Troy?
You here for a bit?
I'm here for a while.
Right.
Well, that's the thing is we go faster on this show now.
The show only lasts.
I'm not here.
You guys, you guys get it in.
Yes.
We do get it in.
Well,
Joe,
who is this segment sponsored by this segment is sponsored
by total seal piston rings.
The leader in real estate.
Matt Hartford.
You guys have segment sponsors now?
Yeah.
Kind of for fun.
It's more of a man.
So much has changed.
Yes.
You don't get to show that.
I don't get to show.
Geez.
I just bought some gas ported total seal piston rings.
Okay.
We're going gas ported, baby.
I had just standard rings and standard piston rings.
I had just standard rings and standard piston rings.
And we didn't overhaul this winner and we're throwing some
gas ported total seals in it and we're up in the compression
ratio and we're headed for nine eighties.
That's where we're headed.
That's incredible.
And then you reach out to Gary Stinnett and you get yourself a
Stinnett stop with a and you're running super street.
I have a I have a brand new beyond though.
Number one stop.
Oh, okay.
There you go.
You already got it.
You already got a stop.
I got a mega four seventy five box ready to plug in.
Oh my God.
This thing is going to run quicker than nine eighties, man.
You're going to be down.
You're going to be running nine sixties.
Well, it still weighs 3500 pounds.
Mine weighs 3400 pounds.
You'll be right there, man.
You'll be right there.
Yeah.
No, we're we'll see if I ever have time to race it this
year, but I'll have me a super street car.
We'll see what that's irrelevant.
You just have to have the car.
You have to have it ready to go.
Right.
That's my last go race.
Yeah.
Go race.
Go race.
Yeah.
Well, hey, I've taken out too much of this.
You know, let's get on with the show.
That's what they're saying in the chat.
Are you going to hang out?
They are not.
I'm watching the chat.
I can see the same chat.
Maybe.
I just want to talk sports.
There's a super secret.
Do you have a super super super super super super super
super super super super super super super super super
super super super super super super super super super
super super super super super super super super super
super super super cool.
I'm going to do sudah.
Do you tell your viewers.
On your show that you were on another show,
and that other show is good.
And that maybe they would enjoy the other show as well,
that you occasionally come on.
Has that ever happened?
It's the only.
Way I have any credibility.
As I flex that I used to be on the WF.
Oh show.
That's what I was wondering.
Right.
Is that like it's a tree.
It's the coaching tree.
Whitworth, um, in, I don't know, December to say, Hey man, I know you're swinging big
this year.
Uh, um, you know, if you need a guy, I can be a guy.
And I said, I've been telling people on the WFO Ignition podcast for years that TB promotions
is the best thing going.
And I'd love to be a part of it.
I'm pretty sure that's what got me the gig.
That makes perfect sense.
That makes sense.
And he said, what is that you're talking about?
What is that?
I am not the guy who's above name dropping.
I, if it gets me to that next step on the ladder, baby, I'm dropping all the names.
It works.
I like it.
All right.
Well, so, uh, let's get into our fantasy league results.
I'm going to give a couple of results.
Uh, Tyler Riddick, Wednesday race, Kyle Larson, second Chase Frisco, third Denny Hamlin, fourth
Bubba Wallace, rounding out the top five for the remainder of the results.
You can go to the internet, which has all the results.
Maybe you can even use your favorite AI.
But in the meantime, we've got our own AI as name is Bobby Graham.
He survived the taking down of a massive tree.
Very scary, Bobby.
You showing me stuff there?
It was reading your post about how you took down this tree was a harrowing experience.
I thought like the only reason I felt comfortable reading it is because I knew you'd survived
because you wrote it.
And that was after the fact, but it's very frightening, frightening thing you're
doing.
So give us the fantasy results out of tree in my backyard this weekend too, man.
You know, it wasn't just Bobby that was out there working the fields, you took off with
a sawzall and fell like a tree that is older than the United States.
The tree was older than 250 years.
It was, it was pretty old anyway.
We did the hedges.
We did the hedges this week at home.
I did those too.
All right.
For the race winners this week, number one, top field champ, 1215 at 389 points.
All right.
Winner for the week.
That's Michael Gwynne.
Okay.
Husband, Tamara O'Gwynne.
Ah.
Yes.
Second place.
We have four people tied for second place.
Oh boy.
First is 365 party girl.
Megalyn.
She is not going to release the lead.
Second, next second place is Buck Barn.
Oh boy.
Look out.
The third second place is Geo in Miami.
Oh.
Whoa.
Whoa.
Whoo.
In the fourth and second place is Bullswool.
Across the pond.
Or two.
Nice.
So we've got a four way side by side by side by side for second place.
Second place.
In the sixth place, Intimidator Harley, seventh place, Olson's Dad Trailblazers, eighth place,
Zamboni John, ninth place, Royal Flush Racing, and tenth place, Bear Reader Racing 81.
Now, what everybody wants is the standings for the year so far.
Second place.
365 party girl.
Whoo.
Whoo.
Whoo.
Megan.
She's looking to get her name on the trophy.
She is.
She is going up.
She looks that way.
She's still 186 points ahead.
Second place.
Megan.
Megan.
Keep your foot down and don't lift.
That's it, Megan.
Second place.
Team 12.
Third place.
Be like Biff.
Fourth place.
Royal Flush Racing.
Fifth place.
Nitro AJ.
AJ.
Sixth place.
Olson's Dad Trailblazers.
Seventh place.
Gabe Killian.
Five 18.
Eighth place.
Bulls Wool.
Ninth place.
Last year's winner.
PT 14.
And 10th place is Intimidator Harley.
And I made 11th, but I'm always saying 10 places.
Good job.
Now, to bring out a little initiative to bring out a little
initiative.
For the people that don't get your names called out regular.
No.
We're going to go back.
The biggest gainer this week.
Is up eight spots.
And he is.
Gio in Miami.
That's right.
When you actually set your team.
That's that sounds.
That sounds like a participation award to me.
Must be.
Well.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
I'm going to go back.
It must be.
Well, he's up to 20th place in the season standing.
So it helps it helps.
And down.
What if you're sucking you near the back.
It's easier to gain a lot of spots when you have a
good week?
Well, this is true.
Down eight spots.
His corp's Grinder is our biggest loser.
Rice guitar.
Now.
Just for a little initiative.
Next to him at seven.
played to us, Mr. Fantasy NASCAR.
So he lost a few spots just to keep us in dialogue.
And that's our scores for the week.
Way to go, my friend.
Tremendous, tremendous stuff.
I think it is exciting.
And Megan, my goodness.
She's taken it seriously.
She's using the AI.
Come on, we all know.
He's a program.
Chair of GPT, pick my favorite drivers.
He's like, I'm locked in.
I am locked in tomorrow.
We got Chad Green and Richard Gadson going to be on the show.
Both on the Gator Nationals both getting ready for Charlotte.
We're going for wide racing and be kind of interesting.
The bikes are back.
Any any drag racing talk you want to get out there?
Troy, you've been paying attention to NHRA at all.
Yeah, I mean, a little bit.
I've been following the divisional stuff more closely than than anything
right now. There's been a bunch of it.
A bunch of it out there.
So, yeah, I don't know that I have any hot takes, though.
You know, what's the question?
He's really just disconnected from from us.
No, I mean, I don't.
Yeah, I don't know.
I found myself favoring the sportsman classes more
and more and more and paying attention to the pros less and less and less.
I think it's awesome.
I love it still, right?
But I just, yeah, I don't identify with it.
We don't have a ton of it out here and we do have a lot of the other stuff.
You know, we get one natty of a year.
I always tune in really, really closely to the Winter Nationals
because to me that's the that's the big dog.
You know, but yeah, I don't know.
I've just been even Monica is jumping into attack,
saving it for his show.
No, it's not it's not what was said.
It's that who who said it?
It is what the comedy is.
That's the comedy.
Yeah. What's the question?
There was no.
To see what what came out of it.
I failed miserably.
Not really. You didn't.
You tee me up.
And I just posted a wonderful clip of The Life's a Drag Show
where Matt Hagen said that Jesus tells Justin Ashley when to go.
And I found that to be very fun.
I was like, really?
I got that.
I got that straight away too, Joe.
As soon as he said it, I thought, is that it?
Justin Ashley was Jewish.
Is that a country joke, Bobby?
And I don't know.
No, not really.
Is that a country boy joke without saying it,
without doing a little.
I think it's funny though.
It may not.
No, not that way.
It's not.
Yeah.
There's part of me that thinks about Matt Hagen.
Generally, I think he meant it, but it's just like, really?
Jesus can still talk to Justin Ashley.
Now, I would have said it was special.
That would have been a southern.
Yeah.
Bless his heart.
Bless his heart.
Bless his heart.
He's special.
But I do like the idea.
See, my brain immediately goes to Star Wars and Obi-Wan Kenobi
and Luke Skywalker.
What he says, use the force.
Let go, Luke.
Like I think about that, except in this case, it's just
Ashley in the cockpit of his race car.
And it's Jesus saying, no.
Like that's what I envisioned when you have a water named Jesus.
Well, when he created this, he created this vision.
Speaking of AI, I think someone should create it
with one of those AI makers.
I do lots of AI making and I love it.
Can you make a video, please?
Yeah.
Well, I could definitely make like a,
like a visual of like Jesus in the sky with him on the line.
Videos are much harder to make.
That's Sonos or whatever it is.
The Soros is the AI video one.
That's yeah.
It's hard.
You have to have a lot of.
Damn.
Because if you see, you haven't been playing around with AI very
much, I can tell.
To get good results, you have to you have to feed it so much
good source material.
Otherwise, it really isn't.
It doesn't do a good job.
You have to give it lots of stuff.
You got to prompt it.
Well, and you got to feed it like videos and pictures.
And yeah.
Yeah.
I tried to make one for TV promotions and it was funny,
but it was like half of it was funny because the content was
actually funny.
The other half was funny because it was terrible.
And it took me hours to do it.
So which one are you using?
Are you using chat GPT?
No, I was using.
I don't remember some online, you know,
free one that I could use the best free one I could find.
So yeah, this is the topic of our time.
If you watch any news program, if you watch any financial program,
if you watch anything, it's all about this AI.
I've had the conversation.
We did a hidden horsepower show earlier today with a gentleman
named Dan Binks who designed and built his own three cylinder
engine to run at the Chile Bowl.
It's a one off all CNC deal.
And he was talking about, you know, going to a track
and having to tune an engine.
And they were he said, I just used AI.
I was like, what do you mean you use AI?
He's like, well, I told it the parameters and I told it all
this stuff.
And they told me, you can go up two more degrees of timing.
And so I did.
And it went faster.
And I was like, get out of here.
Really?
Yeah.
He's like, yeah, man, because that's what's up.
He goes, and I'm an old guy.
I don't even know what I'm doing because I don't even know
how to do it yet.
It's like, oh, damn.
It's getting.
Well, there's different models, right?
So like I use Claude AI at work a lot, which that's
the one that they say is the one so far.
It's really, really smart and for like technical writing
and different things like Claude is really, really good.
I also use this one from Google called Notebook LM.
The cool thing about Notebook is that it won't even do
anything until you give it source material.
Like it's not a web crawler.
So it doesn't just go out and Google stuff and then try to.
Like you have to feed it stuff or else it won't do
anything for you.
So so it's nice because the product you get doesn't have any
wild, you know, curveballs or things because it only uses
information that you've given it.
So it's a way to kind of pre vet your source so you can
trust the output.
Whereas like chat GPT or some of these other ones that that
go kind of crawl the web.
There's always one mistake that you've got at the week.
Yeah, but it's it's really.
Or leave it in if it's a WFO podcast description,
which sometimes we do just for fun.
It's like leave that one in there.
See if it gets it.
No, it's fun.
It's fun.
I do have one comment.
You touched on it in Monday Motivation.
The hood scoop thing is totally rad.
Like you like it.
You like that.
I love it.
And the only part I don't love about it and you're
starting to see it already.
Right.
Is you see X pros dot cars becoming top sportsmen cars.
Yes.
I feel like here in the next three years,
top sportsman is going to be top Camaro
because people are going to switch to the new pro stock cars
and there's going to be a whole bunch of scoopless
cars for cheap that top sportsmen folks are going to buy.
And we're going to have a bunch of we're going to.
Everyone's going to look like Ryan pretty out there.
Right.
Trucks and super gas.
Yep.
Well, all those Jerry Haas every.
You got to have a brand new Jerry Haas car if you're going
to do be successful in pro stock.
So one of those pro stock trucks is on sale right now on
Facebook for twenty five grand rolling and it is beautiful.
Send me the link.
I will.
Send me the link.
It's amazing.
Can't be a Jerry Haas car.
But no, I think it's super cool.
I don't know like the motor parody thing.
Like are we really going to see other power plants competing
and how we'll see.
But it's a step in the right direction.
It's a step that they never should have took in the first place.
Like it's just returning to how it always should have stayed.
I think I got to see it.
Matt in Australia has given the universal money signal.
A lot of people think that this is like really trying to court dodge back.
Where are the blocks coming from?
Where are the heads coming from?
Are we just making these now on our own?
Where's all these parts?
Ford parts?
Where are they coming from?
Is Ford interested at all?
Are we just making this?
You do lose something when you make it a parody class.
You do lose something.
And that rule has already been changed.
We've lost it.
So now they want to lower the Chevy to ten two.
And they want to give the dodge in the Ford eleven one.
And then they start to dominate and everybody starts to complain.
And then we're dealing with racers complaining.
We're going to look back at this moment.
They used to have weight breaks.
They used to be small blocks with weight breaks.
And we decided that that sucked.
Now I know we're in a different era now.
And so we'll see how it goes.
I don't know.
We'll have to live it.
I just coming from seeing VH supercars with the parody.
You're either going to go all in or not at all
because you're just going to open up a can of worms.
And it's the old be careful what you wish for.
Because apart from the class.
I love pro stock as well as part from the class
being called pro Camaro.
To me the only thing they have to do is introduce the new
or the other body styles.
And as we were discussing last week what supercars did
is they put all the cars in wind tunnels or the cars
in wind tunnels in North Carolina.
At Chevy.
And they got the Supra.
The Supra, the Mustang and the Camaro
all with the same aerodynamic results.
So that side of it was parity if you will.
And then it's just the supercars.
Then it's down to horsepower as well.
The horsepower is all the same in
from the three different engine manufacturers
despite the different engine sizes.
Right.
All the classes are parity classes though.
It's a massive investment.
Whereas if you're saying okay we're going to let dodging
but it's going to be 11,000.
Who's going to invest the X amount of millions
to get that up to the scratch that the Chevy engines are now?
To me the average punter I hate to say it
but 80% of people wouldn't know what engine was in it.
If they see a Ford they think it's a Ford.
But right.
Oh yeah.
I don't think I don't care what's under the hood.
That's what I'm saying.
I just think they look cooler.
And you know all classes are parity classes in some way.
They just use a different mechanism to create it.
Right.
Whether it's overdrive under drive on blowers.
It doesn't matter that every class they accept comp.
They figure out some way to and even then they got indexed hits
and in CIC and all that stuff.
Not top fuel funny car and pro stock
which is what made them the professional categories.
Well except they've aren't.
They've limited them to 500.
If it wasn't a parody class
you wouldn't be limited to 500 cubic inches.
No.
You can have rules and not be a parody class.
It's just the rules are the same for every thing.
It's the same rules.
500 cubic inches.
But what's the point of those rules?
Right.
The spirit of those rules is to create parity.
Correct.
Not necessarily.
It's you take this framework
and you see what you can do with it.
It is a degree of parody Joe.
It is a degree.
Otherwise it would just be outlaw.
It would be outlaw.
Otherwise it would just be outlaw.
Run what you're brung.
Do your best.
But personally for the cost
I think they would have been better investing the money
putting the cars in a wind tunnel with a scoop
and making the A Dodge body,
Mustang body and a GM body all equal aerodynamically
and then just run the DRCE engine in all of them.
Then you've got control of that.
And the whole idea of that, correct me if I'm wrong.
The whole idea of that when Freeman and Greg Anderson
got together was to reduce costs
and bring the level playing field
because it was spirally, wasn't it?
And it was just unaffordable to the average person.
And the average person was always going to come seventh.
So another parody major, right?
It's like we're not going to get away
from parody measures.
That's the name of the game.
So it's fine.
The cars look cooler.
Yeah.
That's what you're doing.
Put a scoop on it and get parity with the bodies.
So there's no aerodynamic difference.
And away you go.
Go racing.
Keep racing.
Let's see what Arvin has to say.
Arvin's new to the show, guys.
Arvin is jumping on here for the very first time
that I've seen, right?
Maybe Arvin, have you been on here before?
Have I seen you before on here?
No, you haven't.
So Arvin is on for the first time.
He's got a comment on this pro stock.
What do you think?
Well, like you guys were saying,
really with the hood scoops,
if it makes the other bodies work better,
then why wouldn't we have all the brands out there?
Just like funny car or top fuel.
They're all running the same engines
and same parts and everything,
but they put a different brand on their car.
The body styles are a little different from funny car,
but I think it would be good for pro stock
to have the Dodges and the Fords and the Chevy's.
And they have their framework
like they do with the Nitro.
Same thing.
I generally agree that more bodies are better,
but I do bump up against this problem.
Chevy doesn't make a Camaro that I can buy.
Dodge, what car is going to be their pro stock car?
It can't be the Dart.
Heiner told me it's going to be the Dart.
It can't be the Dart.
The Dart has been rode for,
I don't know, when they killed the Dart.
Someone tell me.
And then Mustang is out there.
That's that's legit.
And I think they had the Challenger
and they switched to the Electric,
but they still kept the same framework.
And I don't know that they got rid of that.
They still have the special edition Challenger.
So right.
Pro stock Challenger would look pretty cool
with the angular body.
I don't know if it's too good in the wind tunnel
with that square front end,
but it sure looks sweet.
I would love to see what it would.
Right.
Like they're going, what are they going?
They're going 185 in stock trim.
So maybe they can't go to 10,
but it'd be fun to see them go fast
with a big tire under the back there.
Well, we'll find out this weekend.
I'm going to go, I'm going to go ask
and I'm going to put myself
in the middle of all of this.
And I'm going to see what NHRE tech and Lonnie
and everybody has to say about it.
And I'm trying to get, you know,
a general understanding
also going on this weekend
real quick before we move on
because, you know, we are on the clock guys.
We're almost we're in the final quarter coming up
Outlaw Street this weekend
for the very first time
with Murder Nova
and Scott Taylor
and Ryan Martin
and Chevy Reeves
and Paige Coughlin's going to be
in the Golden Child car
and Carson Baker
and Clay Cole
and Chris Rankin
and Kyle Canyon
and all these guys
going to be out there for Outlaw Street
the first time
at Zmax Dragway.
This is kind of an interesting deal.
You know, they were very popular
when they were on Discovery Channel.
They did not really have a place to race.
They got together with the NHRE
and NHRE has given them an opportunity
to do their thing
at our national event.
I don't really know how it's going to go.
It could be great.
It could be just another thing
that happens at the NHRE.
What do you what do you think?
Bobby Graham, what do you think?
I don't know how it's going to work out
myself.
I think they'll probably get a good audience.
They'll get a little bit of
people come out to see them though.
That is the question.
Will their people
who are fans of Murder Nova
and Ryan Martin,
they got fans,
they got fans,
they sell out a t-shirt,
they come out,
are they going to come out to the NHRA
and buy a ticket
to be at a national event
to see those guys?
That is the golden question.
How hard is NHRA pushing it?
Right.
That's going to dictate some of that.
Right.
I think if people know about it,
I think if they do a good job
of marketing this thing,
not only as individuals, right?
But if you put the whole burden
of the marketing on those people
to sell it themselves
and not the NHRA standing behind it
and really pumping it up,
I think that's unfair to those guys
and I don't think it'll be as successful.
But I think it's a great idea.
And I mean,
I don't know how many races don't have pros.
Are there any races
that don't have pro stock
and pro stock motorcycle at the same event?
Or is there always one or the other?
I think at least one or the other.
One or the other.
I was just going to like,
if if NHRA had a 10 five class
with that was just shy of outlaw 10 five.
Right.
It would be huge, right?
You got to have a couple little gecksters deal.
Yeah, I hate the name.
What a stupid name for that.
And it's Randy Land. Randy Land loves it.
And it's an index class anyway.
That's bracket racing.
I don't care what those guys say.
It's 550 index class.
It is four boards are off.
Yeah, which is also stupid.
Outlaw 10 five or like semi outlaw 10 five
would be super sick at NHRA events.
People would love it.
Feed into the success of pro mod
and all the buzz that pro mod has these days.
If you had outlaw 10 five and pro mod at the same events,
it would be bonkers.
Bonkers.
There you go.
See, you know, I don't know.
I am old school.
I think we got enough classes, man.
I think the people who make all these new classes
are making new classes because they, you know,
they want to do that's not a new class, though.
You got too many.
You got to get rid of nobody wants to watch factory stock showdown
or factory X like nobody even as cool as those cars are.
I think they're cool.
But I don't want to watch that junk.
Get out of here.
Yeah, and five stuff.
Fox body mustangs.
Oh, all kinds of stuff.
Sixty nine Camaros, whatever, whatever they want.
Old Monte Carlo's cool stuff, man.
I don't know.
I think it would be cool for the first year
and the cream would rise to the top very rapidly.
As soon as you're literally putting 10 fives on pro mod cars
and going in like pro mods on 10 fives.
I mean, yeah, it's awesome.
Factory stock showdown is not good.
I don't know.
They're real cars.
They run in the seven.
There's like four of them, though.
No, you're thinking about that.
That's that's that's that one too.
Get rid of them both.
No, they they did.
They already killed that one.
We already got a factory X.
They killed it.
And I like factory showdown.
Remember, they were trying to sell cars from the factory
and they did.
They sold a lot of them.
Like a lot of people bought those cars
and they're racing them.
Like the problem was that they didn't lock down
the stockness of the cars.
And you had to take it totally apart
and then put it back together
and it cost you a hundred thousand dollars.
And so a hundred and fifty thousand dollar car
cost now two hundred and fifty thousand dollars
to go out there.
And if you buy pure stock,
it's going to run eight thirties.
But after the standfields get through with it,
it goes seven eighties.
Yeah. But for two fifty,
why wouldn't you just build a top dragster?
Well, like doors, man.
People like to build a top sportsman car
and have fifty grand left in your pocket.
They like real cars that well, yeah.
But some people don't want to go that fast.
They like the idea of it being a factory car.
There's so many different reasons.
But yeah, to your point,
just run pro stock.
Just go give that money to Richard.
And now you're out there running pro stock, right?
I didn't like it.
There's that.
There was there was talk not long into factory X
that that I think the standfields were saying
it was costing more to build the factory X car
and run it than to race pro stock.
Well, that's a fact.
Jerry Haas, eight thousand dollars more
to build a factory X car
because of the steel wheels and quarters.
Eighty thousand.
So anyway, all right.
Let's let's move on to sports collision.
The reason Troy is here and hear what Gio has to say
about the mainstream stick and ball sports world.
Well, before I get to that,
why don't you tell us who this segment is sponsored by?
This segment is brought to you by
FTI performance transmissions and torque converters
powering promo top sportsman top dragster
and project Pontiac call Grant and the guys down at FTI.
Tell them you heard about it on WFO radio.
You can get your torque converter like reset
to make sure it's absolutely perfect the way I did.
And you never miss a beat.
Paul Lee company FTI performance dot com.
It's not cheating.
Yes.
Go ahead.
It's the competitive edge.
That's the next line of the.
I know you guys have heard the commercial
50,000 times.
I think it's great.
FTI sports collision.
What is the big topic this week?
Thursday NFL draft is back just like that.
The off season is there is no off season.
The NFL they're in the news year round.
But yes, Thursday will be the first round
and all the teams with selections in the first round
have lots of hope and hope and prayers, I guess you could say.
But we'll see how it goes.
The number one overall pick is highly expected to be
the Indiana quarterback from right down the street
right here in Miami, Fernando Mendoza.
And after that, it's a pretty wide open draft.
No one really knows.
It's not that, you know, who knows with all these things.
Everybody takes a shot.
Everybody, you know, if you listen, there's never a team
that is upset after the draft.
Oh, we got our guy.
He's crazy.
This is going to be awesome.
And two years later, he's no longer on the team.
But anyhow, so yes, what's going on in the regular world.
Other than that, the NHL and NBA playoffs got going
over the weekend.
The NBA playoffs were pretty much blowouts all first.
All first round games.
Only one road team managed to get the victory.
The Orlando Magic stunned the number one seed
Detroit Pistons with a big victory yesterday.
But even that, it was an underdog,
but it was a double digit win.
There was only one game.
I think it was, I don't remember
enough that was Saturday.
The Lakers were the only team that won by nine points.
Everybody else pretty much just whooped everybody.
And it was a little bit boring by Boston and Oklahoma City
and San Antonio, some of these teams that are clearly
a cut above the crappy teams they're playing against.
But yeah.
So NBA playoffs, Amazon, a lot of games on Amazon,
you know, their coverage in NFL and in NASCAR has been great.
The studio show for the basketball, no complaints there,
but the actual telecast itself has not been so great.
The heat game last week in the elimination game
with about under a minute to go, they lost the signal
and had technical difficulties.
I mean, goodness gracious, technical difficulties.
So that's the problem with this streaming.
And I know that pretty much.
I mean, even the regular networks
are all streaming their stuff now as, you know,
we get all the TV through the internet and through the Wi-Fi
or through the high speed fiber or whatever.
They get it to us.
You know, there's really no more signals coming
unless you got direct TV.
But yeah, man, Amazon, dude, you guys got to step up.
And I think that's part of the problem
with all of these streamers and Netflix had it
when they had that boxing fight,
that they had so many million people
trying to log on to the same thing at once.
I think I suppose the Tyson fight
that half the people weren't able to really see it.
And those guys, they got to step up and fix that crap because
I'm happy it's not, you know, people complain
about NHRA TV from time to time.
And it's like, look, man, Amazon's getting it wrong too.
It's just like you said, when too many people log
on to the same thing at the same time.
All right, dude, we're talking about playoffs
or individual games or stuff like that, dude.
Playoffs.
Well, I, so I hear that they're working on a system.
I hear that they're working on a system.
All right.
That what it does is it just, it just sends out
these invisible waves and they just go right through the air.
No, no fiber OPTIQ that gets or eliminates
the whole fiber OPTIQ thing.
It eliminates the need for like the cable gets rid of all that.
It just goes right through the air
and something in your house catches that miracle.
And you can watch, you can watch different channels.
No, man, that's all the way back to rabbit ears.
But wait, what was that terrestrial terrestrial TV?
You know, I'm with you, buddy.
The some of the stuff these days just doesn't make sense.
I was 10 minutes from a town of 200,000 the other day.
I could see it over in the distance.
And I had no bars of cell phone service.
Yeah.
That the fact that you there's places in this world
that still don't have cell phone service is absolutely
unacceptable.
Dave was at VMP the other weekend.
And I will tell you, we finally, I was like between that
and I had an issue at home.
I said, that's it.
We're getting Starlink.
I was like, I am, I am done with having no service
when we go somewhere.
The losses are getting Starlink.
Yes.
Got it.
It's so unacceptable.
We've come so far in technology and there's still
places you can go with no cell phone service.
It's unbelievable.
Pits at Keynesville Raceway.
Unbelievable.
You can get it on the moon, but Joe.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Apparently.
Yes.
Well, Matt, we don't have time to devote on your obsessions.
Yes.
As they found something behind the moon.
Okay.
I don't know what that's related.
Keep going.
Geo, what else?
What else?
Sports Clyde.
Sports are colliding.
Geo.
My fly boys.
Look at that note.
Look at the read sheet he's got.
Yeah.
That's down.
Except, yeah, you know, I'm going blind.
And so, I don't know.
I can't even tell what else I got written on here to be
to be honest with you.
It's kind of chicken scratch.
Well, you know, in the morning when my brain is going.
Hey, Geo.
NHL playoffs.
What about that?
The playoffs, Megan?
I told you, I, you know, NHL playoffs are going on.
I have no interest.
My team's on it.
That's a drag.
The players are in.
Come on.
Come on.
I saw the Toronto Montreal game yesterday.
That went to overtime.
I did see a Buffalo.
We had a huge comeback against Boston.
That was a Boston was up to nothing.
And Buffalo scored like four goals in the last eight minutes.
So I have watched a little bit.
I saw a Colorado win and and Vegas.
So I just get a flyers.
Fliers beat Pittsburgh yesterday or the day before.
And they're up to nothing today already.
So I know those of you in that area and you Philly fans
are parting it up.
We'll see the flyers, you know, typical.
We're in the first round and then they'll do this next.
Oh, you knew Megan was going to chime in.
You mentioned something from Philly.
Gio, do you know who arrived in Portland two days ago?
All the members of the newest WNBA team, the Portland fire.
Wow.
You guys got your own team.
I had mentioned a few weeks ago about the CBA agreement being signed.
And the draft was on.
I think last week when we were doing the show and yeah,
we tried to keep up a little bit.
Bro, I've been thinking about getting season tickets.
My middle daughter, we went to Oregon State Beavers Games.
We go in the winter.
She loves college basketball.
She loves women's basketball.
Portland's like an hour and 40 minutes.
I might just get me some season tickets and just become
the biggest Portland fire fan in the business until we get an MLB team.
Get a wider why they're on the teeth there.
I know.
Here's what you need to do, Troy.
I'm going to tell you once.
Okay, listen, I tell every once in a while, I drop a little nugget.
Okay.
And somebody listens to it.
Like Matt going to get in his Jerry Haas car.
Remember that?
Kevin Luttrell.
Oh, you're claiming, you're claiming credit for that now.
Matt, you didn't even know about for three years.
Matt told me I said it.
Like Matt said, he listened to me and he just executed on my orders.
Right.
Matt, isn't that true?
Look how he's giving the salute.
So here's what you need to do.
Listen, it's not stolen valor.
This guy said flat out that I said it on the show.
I said, Matt, you need to go get a Jerry Haas car.
And he did.
So listen, listen, now's your time.
You need to go down there with all your stuff that you're doing
and try to become the arena announcer for the Portland fire.
Oh, man.
Yeah.
Why not?
Why not you?
Why not you?
Not me.
Why not?
He's an hour and 40 minutes drive.
It would be cool to have like a like a signature three ball,
like, you know, like Marv Albert,
like something for the signature three ball.
Steve, it's all about the passion, especially with that stuff.
It would be so.
Steve, any clues?
Yeah.
Bang.
Bang, bang.
Who says bang all the time?
Who is it?
Bang.
Kenny.
Right.
Who says bang?
What's it?
Someone playoff NBA basketball says bang.
Bang, bang.
He says it the whole game.
It's great.
When it's against your team, it's horrible.
When it's for you, it's great.
Yes.
Anyway, I've dropped it for you.
Like if you want to, you know, if you,
you're maybe not into it, but you go down there
with your announcing experience and you're like,
Hey, I'm super passionate about WNBA.
I'm from the area.
I do Mike stuff.
I'm a guy.
They're going to be into you, man.
I'm a guy.
I'm a guy.
Yes.
You don't think that they think it's a cool thing
that middle-aged men are into your sport?
You know, absolutely.
You know, is that right?
Is that right?
I didn't say I'm a father of daughters.
You could say that.
You know the thing about the female pit reporters
and the sideline reporters?
It works the opposite in the WNBA.
I'm coming for Diana Rossini spot at the athletic now
that she made some.
Whoa.
You're going to be holding hands with Mike Rabel?
What kind of?
No, I hold hands with Diana Rossini, though,
if she wanted to.
No, I'd hold hands with Diana, though.
If she wants to.
I had to turn down my first gig, Joe.
Ever.
And it was a monster truck show.
And I had to turn it.
I couldn't make it work.
I couldn't be in two states at once.
And that's what it would have took.
I just was far.
I was out of town when I got the call.
They were like emergency, like, yo,
monster jam's in town tomorrow.
We need a guy.
And I was like, I can't.
I can't do it.
But monster jam would have been like the sickest thing.
Like that would have been so cool.
Grave digger, something.
Oh, yeah.
They were all there the whole tour.
It was like the real monster jam.
Like, and I couldn't do it.
I was super bummed.
Well, you know, I don't know what to say.
Anyway, I've thrown it out there.
I think we'll see.
I'll let you know.
Have you seen me on ESPN, the Ocho?
Yes.
You should know that I did it.
All right.
G.R., are you done with sports collision?
Is that it?
Yeah, unless you want it.
That's it.
No, that's it.
All right.
So let's let's go back.
First Saturday of May, not next weekend,
but the following weekend.
Two weeks.
Right.
Oh, listen, Trojan Trouble, guys.
He's in trouble.
Me, no.
But the spot.
No.
He's doing it.
No, no.
Cut, cut.
No, no.
Don't look at me.
Don't look at me.
Get out of my room.
Get out of my room.
But, but, but I'm on the show.
I'm doing the show.
You guys, I'm a family.
Mom, I'm doing the show.
Mom, let me go.
They're not used to me doing this show.
Like, what are you doing up there?
What's going on up there?
You've been in the room too long.
All right, guys.
Let's say we're being rude to our new guest, Arvin.
Hey, Arvin's got the best background.
Look at that.
He's got the roof flat.
He's one of these palm trees.
It's like a tanning salon.
He works in a sauna.
He's in a peeking room.
He's going over shit.
Arvin, what is all that?
Explaining.
I am in my garage.
This is my traveling bar that we bring.
I see a few liquor bottles there.
Yeah, I was going to say.
And a fell pro gasket.
And I see a scag equipment sticker.
I thought you were like at a dispensary.
No, tell me, Arvin.
You're making a strong first impression here
with this traveling liquor bar.
Yeah, we like it.
We're all hooked.
Yeah, you probably might have seen that one
in Brainerd last year, if you were out in the zoo.
It was out there.
Oh, you take that bar to the zoo?
Oh, yeah.
Oh, dude, I love it.
Joe, we need shots this year at the zoo.
Content, WFO content.
In a couple of years since I've been out into the zoo.
So this year, I guess I'll have to go out
and see Arvin's bar.
So you're in Minnesota.
Arvin, is that you're a Minnesota listener?
Yeah, I live about an hour and 15 minutes
from the track.
Okay.
Nice.
I'm from Brainerd.
Oh, Minnesota.
Excellent.
How long have you listened to WFO?
This is the first time we've seen you.
How long have you been in on this?
I, it started three years ago or so with the Tuesday podcast
and then I started watching Ignition
and I've been Patreon for just under a year.
Do you feel like you're getting the reasonable
percentage of your money out of it?
Yeah, I was thinking I should up it actually.
This guy's got a great idea.
That's okay, that's a great idea.
You know, we are about to go to the board.
We can add to the giveaway fund.
I am doing a giveaway, guys.
I posted money motivation.
I left the time code in there.
Everybody that responds to that is...
I heard it's 16 minutes.
You're not supposed to tell us.
Tio.
I've got some good stuff around here, man.
The super prize pack.
Sending the artwork was a challenge.
Joe, can we pick it up the track on Friday?
Let's pick the name of the track on Friday.
Okay, let's do it.
Yeah, yeah.
You can do your...
I'm a big fan-raider.
Yeah, exactly.
Exactly.
So you're a big fan of NHRA Drag Racing, Arvin?
Yes, yeah.
What's your favorite racer?
Oh, there's a bunch of them.
I don't know.
You just love the sport, just in general.
Yeah, mostly probably...
I like watching the underdogs,
like the smaller teams build up during the year.
That's probably the most exciting thing.
It's everything's up in the air right now.
It's really exciting.
Everything's changing.
Different teams, different drivers,
crew chiefs, mixing it up, you know?
I agree.
Yeah, no, we're just getting started.
And I feel particularly just getting started
since I've been to only one race this year.
And so, like, it's drinking from the fire hose.
Well, good deal, man.
Welcome. Welcome, Arvin.
This is cool.
I love when this happens,
when a Patreon jumps on the Ignition Show
for the first time
and reveals themselves to all of us.
That is good stuff.
All right.
I guess it's now time for the Australia report.
Hopefully this guy is ready with a prompt and...
Oh, I got to go.
Time's up for me.
See you, Troy.
F-B-F-O, Troy.
Say hi to Macy.
Say hi to Macy.
Tell her who says hello.
Tell her to WFO.
You know what would be even better?
You know what would be even better
is if tonight at 7 Pacific 10 Eastern
on the Theobald Motorsports YouTube channel,
you all just came on and chimed in in the chat.
We would love to if we could get the show over worth.
As long as we get the show over, we can do that.
You got to go down under.
You got to get that in.
Big happenings down in Australia.
I'll tell your reports about to happen.
He's getting it right again.
He's having it right now.
In the red.
Time was ticking.
Tick ticking.
You're going to know it's all right.
Goodbye, Troy.
Go get ready.
Go get into the green room.
You're going to make some lines
through the notes, Troy,
just to make it short and sweet.
There it is.
I'll stay around.
I'll stay.
All right.
He's been practicing in the mirror.
And let's see it.
It is time for the world famous.
Matt, Australia report.
Brought to you by Bernie speed shop.
B U R N Y Z Z dot com.
Bernie's buying, selling,
class of cars, cars of consequence,
located in Ocala.
No pressure.
Sorry.
Sorry, Josh.
Matt, my battery, my laptop batteries at 10%
and fading fast.
You better make it quick, bud.
It's called a power.
You're at home, mate.
It's called a power point.
You plug the bloody thing in.
A power point.
Have you got them up that way?
Power board.
We call them.
We call them outlets.
Don't allow yourself to be distracted by Troy.
You have to just power through.
Power through.
Power through your PowerPoint.
Do you have a PowerPoint for us?
Have a presentation.
A slide show?
Not a presentation.
A PowerPoint.
You guys got to leave Matt alone.
No, that's water off and ducks back.
Troy's got to go out to the,
Troy's got to go out to the windmill
and kick start it with the generator.
Okay.
A good one, a quick one.
And I'll do my final thought
at the end of the two joules.
That's okay.
Yes.
You'll lead us into the final thoughts
with this one.
Not a lot to report.
The eight supercars this past weekend
in Christchurch in New Zealand,
which is the South Island.
They had four races over the course
of the weekend, which was,
one of the races was a make-up race
from the North Island
where they had the cycle and come through.
Ford dominated the whole event.
The Mustangs won all four races.
Talking of parody and pro stock,
they've found that in their parody quests
that they gave the Kamara's
3% more downforce on the front of the car
to make all the cars equal aerodynamically,
and it's actually worked against them.
And so the Kamara's having some struggles
in supercars at the moment
and between now and the next race,
which is the 22nd of May in Tasmania,
which is a little island off the south of Victoria.
There is deep discussions.
How were the devils?
Impossible.
That's where the devil is, Gio.
That's him.
And the long lost Tasmanian Tiger,
extinct in the early 1900s.
So yeah, that's coming up.
As far as drag racing goes,
it's all quiet with the lead-up
still two weeks away to the Nitro Champs
at Sydney Dragway.
I got a report through this morning.
They've got over 300 entries,
which might not seem a lot
to some of our American friends there,
but to give an example,
I think the biggest winter nationals,
which is the biggest race outside of North America,
gets about 430 entries.
So we're going north for 300 entries.
So it's going to be a huge event.
25 top sportsmen in my class so far,
and the entries are still open
to the middle of this week.
Two things on,
Joe, you mentioned on Monday,
EVs,
BYD is absolutely huge here in Australia.
Build your dreams.
And they're actually outselling Tesla
down here in Australia.
You guys allow those into your country?
Oh, mate, we've got everything down here.
Why don't you not freeze them out?
Because we've got nothing to replace them with.
We've got no manufacturing down here, mate.
I get it.
Are they good?
I mean, let's forget the fact that they're Chinese,
and let's just be totally like,
okay, it's not a gas car.
So you're not going to like it like you like a gas car,
but compare it to like top Tesla.
Is it comparable for less?
Yes.
That's what everybody's saying.
But one of my mates,
one of my very close mates,
has got a BYD twin cab pickup,
I guess you guys call it,
Ute. It's got a one and a half litre petrol engine in it
with a turbo.
It's hybrid,
but it basically,
all that engine's there for
is to generate power for the batteries.
So he can either plug it in,
or he can,
and he's got a small business,
picks up small loads of stuff in the tray section,
and it's all around the city,
and it's perfect for him.
But he's not doing long distances.
The most he'd do in a day is maybe 150 miles.
Right.
But with that gas engine,
he just keeps that gas engine running,
and it goes,
I mean, I'm not into the technology.
I'm just...
It keeps the batteries powered.
Yeah, it keeps the batteries powered.
So he's right.
That's what the Chevy Volt was originally,
a gas generator that generated electricity
that powered a battery
that would charge up and let you go 40 miles.
And then the generator would kick on,
and you could drive from here to Las Vegas.
And everybody hated it.
And they were like,
oh, we got to have Tesla because of marketing.
And timing,
because that thing was coming out
right when they needed that loan.
And I think it was the right technology,
but it got defeated.
A lot of cars here are what they call hybrids.
So they're gas engines,
plus the electric motor as well.
In America,
you got to be able to drive
coast to coast at any moment,
just in case.
Oh, just same here, mate.
It's not a...
And to your point in Monday, Mo,
it's not a big market.
I think it's up to 9% down here
of the total market share.
We love...
We're little brothers and sisters.
We love our V8 engines,
big diesels, all the rest of it.
That's...
We're a farming country down here, essentially.
Our whole country is a farm.
But I hear you guys are not to get political.
I know you hate that,
but you guys are about to start fuel rationing.
Is that true?
Correct.
Yes.
Some one side of government decided
to close down all our oil refineries
and put in solar panels and wind turbines.
And we've gone from 10 oil refineries to two.
And one of them this week caught on fire
just to add fuel to the fire,
no pun intended.
And it's down to 60% capacity.
So all our fuel comes out of Malaysia.
And to international standards,
we're supposed to have 90 days of fuel.
We're down to 30 days of fuel.
My company's fuel bill went up...
It's almost double last month.
Yikes.
Yeah.
So I wanted to tell Troy,
no sponsorship of the summer show down this year
because of the fuel crisis.
No, only joking.
Well, what's...
There's only one left in California,
$7 a gallon for diesel.
Everybody's seeing it.
Yeah. Now, refineries.
You and I were talking about this earlier today.
Refinery is very important.
I think we send it to Bobby.
It's currently here $3.30 a litre in diesel.
So there's four litres to a gallon.
Oh.
So 12 bucks.
So 12 bucks.
Then take off the exchange rate.
And we're probably at about nine
to compare with what Wes is talking about.
So we're probably about $9 down here.
That's brutal.
Yeah, it is, mate.
And like I said, we're down to too much.
Dude, you guys are in the upside down.
You can't expect gas to be just cheap down there.
It's got to go up high down.
You don't have to look all off the flat earth.
I don't want to get political,
but we have got the richest coal in the world.
I've driven one of those full-powered cars.
It's not as good as they say it is.
But I've never had a full-powered car.
And we have an abundance of it.
No, no, no.
I'm just saying our natural resources down here,
even though we're in the South Pacific all on their little own,
we have an abundance of coal.
We have an abundance of uranium.
And we have an abundance of fuel, oil.
And it's almost like we self-sabotage down here.
We don't use any of it.
We don't have any nuclear power stations.
We send all our uranium off-site.
We send all our coal to China and India and all that area.
And it just doesn't make sense.
But anyway, nevertheless,
my fuel bill last month went from $2,400 to $4,300.
Well, like we all know why.
There's a bunch of stuff going on in the past.
The experts say it's a short-term blip.
And the prices have come...
I just list of it.
I can't watch Formula One for two reasons.
Yes.
Yeah, exactly.
The short-term blip, the prices are coming back down very well.
There has been a...
Yeah, don't worry about it.
Come on, man.
Just a quick thing on EVs.
I actually...
There was a thing on the news last night
and there would be at least half a dozen,
two or dozen Chinese brands down here that sell EVs.
Like it's...
We've got a ton of them.
But there's a brand called Sirius.
So S-E-R-E-S-G-O.
You might want to look this up.
They've just put in a patent
and it was on the national news last night
to have a toilet installed in the car.
Oh, my God.
The slides out.
You know what I heard about?
Under the seat or something?
Yeah, slides out from the passenger seat.
And don't ask me why,
but the first thing I thought of
before Joe ever mentioned on Monday night
in relation was to...
No, no, to bring it up on the show tonight.
Oh, I thought you were going to say you thought of Gio.
I thought of me driving back from Rockingham.
Like, I could have used that
and pull out the hose attachment
and just kind of go.
I actually did, Sue, but I was trying to be nice.
Oh, okay.
No, no.
Now that I'm old and, you know,
and I got to go sometimes,
I just keep a cup in the car
so that, you know...
God, no.
No.
It's not the way it works.
It's a cup.
So...
Gatorade bottle, man.
Gatorade bottle.
A cup.
No, man.
A Gatorade bottle.
You know that like...
You know it's got to be like wide rim cups
so that there's no pouring up on spirit.
All over the place, you know?
The neck of the bottle
doesn't need to be that big, Gio.
Just telling it to say.
That's a joke about your...
All right, continue.
Finish the Australia report
and get into your final talk.
Arvin's going to do a final thought
here in a second too.
All right.
In case you didn't know.
The last thing,
I got a breaking news phone call
from Bazaar and Daza
before I come on the air.
I had to bring it up.
That's an announcement from NHRA, Joe,
on YouTube.
Is this breaking news?
It might be breaking news to me.
You got me going to NHRA.com right now.
What is it?
On YouTube, it says notification 22nd of March.
Chasing speed will be on the NHRA YouTube channel
every episode.
Wow.
I haven't confirmed this.
I got this as the beacon went out.
But yeah, it's not on our front page,
but what is on our front page is
vote for Cornwell Tools U.S. Nationals
in USA Today Readers' Choice poll.
So if you guys are out there
and you want to vote for NHRA
on the Readers' Choice poll,
go click the link on NHRA.com.
And that's what the best event.
USA Today Top 10 Best Motorsports Races.
Oh, definitely.
I was ready to just, you know,
just chill for it.
But that is actually true.
The U.S. Nationals is definitely
one of the best motorsports events.
Up there with the Daytona 500 and the Indy 500.
Matt, I'm so happy it hasn't happened yet,
but our long national nightmare
is slowly drawing to international nightmare.
Australia and the rest of the world
can finally see WFO on chasing speed.
Oh, thank God.
So that, yes, we're so happy for you, Matt.
You're going to love it, Matt.
You're going to be like,
you guys are all going to,
you're going to have to do your own project.
You know, that finally released
the world wider, you know, coverage, man.
I don't know why he was holding back.
I was holding it back the whole time.
All right. What's your final thought?
I got this past week, we've started
helping out a young guy in midgets.
Dirt track midgets.
And his dad said to me,
they had some trouble with scrutineering.
And he very deep comment here.
He with the most to say has the least invested.
And I just thought that was a good final thought.
He with the most to say has the least invested.
Invested, invested.
Yeah, invested.
I like it.
And I do find it very often true.
Yes.
Yeah.
I'm sure all those keyboard warriors fall into that category.
Brian Wagner from my drag scene was posting
about something like that, too.
All the people that complain.
There's 50 of them.
I bet if we kept a list, there's 50.
My the over under is 50.
Maybe it's under.
Maybe it's over, but not by much.
There's 50 people that are creating all the negativity.
The question is, once we identify them,
what do we do with them?
We'll leave that for another episode.
Arvin, the first show.
Let's get a final thought.
You've heard the program.
You know what it's all about.
This is your chance to mold the future.
Mold the future.
All right.
So we're just having discussion last weekend
over some drinks at the bar.
And we came up with
good decisions come from experience
and experience come from bad decisions.
So.
Have some experience of that.
Sound effects are great.
I like it.
I mean, yeah, indeed.
Arvin hanging us with the knowledge.
Thank goodness this is recorded.
Good experience.
Good.
What?
Good experience.
Good decisions come from experience.
And experience comes from bad decisions.
True.
It is true.
That's true.
Let's try that.
And that and that, my friends,
is why the tree didn't fall on Bobby's house.
Yes.
Yes.
Somebody made a good deal.
All right.
Way to go, Arvin.
And speaking of that,
let's go over to the bug barn
and get a little wisdom from Bobby Graham.
For those who don't follow Bobby on the social media,
he posted all kinds of wonderful photographs.
This tree was like 500 year old tree,
but it had been,
he thought it was rotting,
but apparently it was just wood.
And he tried to take it down.
Uh-oh.
No, it was rotting,
but it still had enough wood left in it
to hold on to it.
And once you started sawing it with the saw,
there was no stopping.
It had to come down one way or another.
And the only other way for it to come down
was on my house.
So tractor cables, saws, wedges,
we got it down.
You got it down.
We got it down.
But my words of wisdom and real short this week
is never say never
and learn how to wear your tail
between your legs when you have to.
And that's my...
Okay.
And there is a story,
but I'll tell it later.
You'll tell it another time, right?
That's a really follow Bobby Graham
on the socials.
Excellent work.
Sue, what about you?
Let's get a final thought as you get ready
to go racing for that big Wally
for the first time in 2026 to 75th season.
You've already got the little one.
You're over that.
It's like...
I want a big brother.
I want a big brother.
Yes.
This weekend, Z-Max, four wides.
And I got an honorary crew person this weekend.
Mom's coming along.
So, uh...
Really?
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, mom's going to be at the track with us.
This will be her first time ever
attending a national event.
So, new experience for mom.
So, it should be...
We're hoping to get into winning ways
and do good and make her proud.
And, um...
But other racing that's gone on here
in the Carolina is the spring fling
is this weekend.
So, uh...
People be heading out to, uh,
Dorana Galat, um, Raceway,
or Park, uh, to go do that.
And a couple other things.
I wanted to say congrats to Fast Eddie.
He got his championship from 2025.
His sportsman championship
saw the pictures of that over the weekend.
So, congrats.
And now, Fast Eddie, it's time to set the bar
and go after it for 26.
AJ, great job.
Get me on a roll.
Hope you enjoyed the drags at Cecil County.
And, uh, hopefully see you out there
at the races at some point this year.
We'll see what happens.
We can get closer up north.
But, uh, other than that,
I want everybody to have a great week.
Uh, and I also got to give the plug out.
Hey, if you can, give blood.
Save a life.
Doesn't take much time.
And to give the snacks afterwards.
And, uh, I can't take the claim for fame for it.
Dragster Jeff turned me on.
And it's an easy thing to do.
So, have at it.
Save life.
And get a candy bar afterwards.
Way to go.
See, I want to do that so desperately.
Here in Miami,
it doesn't seem like an easy thing to do.
I don't know.
Maybe it's just me or when I'm available.
Maybe I need to try a little harder.
But I, when I, before I was into the idea of giving blood,
the big red bus was everywhere I went.
And now that I'm like kind of into the idea,
I can't find the big red bus and make an appointment somewhere.
So we'll do it.
We'll do a good job.
Sue, I will see you on Thursday.
Now you guys are on track on Thursday, right?
Am I wrong about that?
Yes, we are on track on Thursday.
So you're on track on Thursday.
I am arriving Thursday.
Yes.
Joe, you've got to ask what Sue's mom's name is.
So you can sound polite and beautiful and impressive
when you turn up there to the trailer.
I don't need to do that.
Sue, what's your mom's name?
Mom.
Mom.
Barb.
Oh, Barb.
Barb's out there listening.
Barb's been listening to the show for a long time.
She has.
Barb's daughter has taken over as a star of the show
for a long time.
I'll say she's bothering her up already.
Right?
There it is.
Yeah.
Hey, can you imagine if Sue could,
and she's going to be hanging out with you the whole weekend, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay.
Perform at a high level with your mom there in the house.
Good job.
Giovanni in Miami.
All right.
All right.
I, you know what?
Segueing back a couple of quick things.
Jeff Gordon does have the modern record 13, 1998.
See, we'll always get back to it, guys.
You think and you're there listening,
thinking they never said who's got the biggest winning seasons.
Gio is on the case.
Good job.
Yep.
D.W. and Junior Johnson 12.
David Pearson.
K.L. Yarbrough 11.
And then there's a bunch of drivers who are 10,
most recently Kyle Larson and Jimmy Johnson prior to that.
What's Earnhardt's biggest season?
Was it most wins by Earnhardt in a single season, Gio?
Yeah.
I don't know.
I don't have that one in front of me.
Okay.
Not, not one of the best single seasons of all time ever.
That, that's fine.
Nope.
Not even close.
But hey, man, Tyler Reddick, Tyler Reddick, right?
Like you heard it here first.
Those guys on WFO were the first to float.
Watch this space.
He may or he may not.
This space again, you know, that's, that would be, you know,
got a strong start.
He's out of the box early.
If it's the home run record, he's got, you know,
10 home runs in the first, you know, 10 games.
So he's hot start.
Tyler Reddick, we'll see.
All right.
What else, Gio?
Final thought.
That, oh, you know what?
Man, here's one.
WrestleMania happened over the weekend.
Oh, I don't know about this.
This is good.
No, no, because I don't really watch it anymore.
But all I know is that now that ESPN has their own,
you know, direct to consumer trying to sell you the,
the unlimited app and all of that stuff,
they've got the wrestling on, on their app or whatever.
And on their ESPN networks and dude,
they have killed it with the promotion of the wrestling.
Man, it was everywhere.
I couldn't even watch sports center.
They covered wrestling more than the NHL and NBA playoffs,
actual games combined.
And you know, look, I love wrestling as much as anybody else.
But when I was a kid, I stopped watching.
Once I got to the point that I realized that,
you know, here, get, get this.
It's predetermined folks.
That happens.
All right.
That's why you can't gamble on it.
Dude, man, if I was Jerry Lawler right now,
I would slap you in the face.
Look, I'm not saying it's fake or anything like that.
These days, this is real what they're out there doing.
They're entertainers.
They're there, but, but we already know what's going to happen.
Well, we don't, but someone already knows what's going to happen.
And it's not like, you know, I don't know.
I just, it was just a little too much for me, man.
And I tried to watch some of the stuff they had on.
And yeah, it just wasn't as, as, as entertaining as back in the day
with the huckster and even the Rick Flair.
Hold, hold on a minute.
I mean, 10 second pushback.
You don't have a favorite wrestler.
That's the problem.
You got to have a guy that's your guy.
Back in the day, you had a guy.
I know you had a guy.
You had probably three or four guys.
You liked the heart foundation and you like the British bulldogs
and you like Coco beware and you like the hot rod, rowdy, rowdy,
Piper and you got all those guys.
You like, you had guys that you like.
Do you have anybody that you even know that is a modern
contemporary wrestler?
No.
I mean, I saw John Cena there.
You know, that's the problem.
See, John, Cody Rhodes is dust his son.
But, uh, but no, it's just not the same man.
It just, uh, it was a little too slow moving.
And, uh, yeah, not enough action.
That was just it.
Not enough wrestling action.
It was just way, way too much cross promotion of everything on ESPN.
And not enough, like backstage interviews and not enough.
Oh, yeah.
The actual fighting and wrestling.
Oh, man.
It was a four hour show and there was like maybe 60,
you know, like one hour of actual, you know,
wrestling that wasn't commercials and crap.
Wow.
Gio crapping on WrestleMania.
All right.
Put it in the description.
AI make it happen.
Thank you.
And Giovanni is first collision.
Crapped all over WrestleMania.
There you go.
Hit a nerve.
I was big in Vegas over there where they had it.
So it's WrestleMania is still huge.
But yeah, like you're never going to go back to the gold.
I'm trying to hook Hogan.
No, of course you can't go back to that.
It's never going to be as good,
but they got to keep making the money.
And the kids who are experiencing it for the first time
are enjoying it.
And it's great.
Same with everything.
Same with everything.
Like when it's new and fresh and in its first peak,
the first peak, it's probably going to be at its best.
And those guys that we just listed,
like all of them like, yeah, this bit much.
Oh, man, Randy said, like all those people,
like it's never going to be better than that.
It's not.
It's not.
Snake and Mongoose.
Shirley.
Garlets.
There was no TV.
There was nothing in these small towns.
They're barnstorming into a town.
And you had to go see like real people out there
at this track.
You had to go witness Jungle Jim Lieberman.
Like what?
Whereas now it's all just a show.
It's all just a show.
And we know better.
And that's what's sad.
And soon we're all going to be dead.
But it is what it is, folks.
So live it up.
Let's land the plane on that one.
WFO, y'all.
There it is.
Thank you, Gio.
And thank you, Sue.
And thank you, Matt.
And Arvin, way to go, bud.
Good debut.
There he goes, Arvin.
And thank you all.
Yeah, a little dark, a little bit,
but not really.
It's the truth.
It's the truth.
So you got to make the best of it.
You can spend all day long
being that negative guy like this and that
and the other thing.
Or you could realize it's like tick,
talk, tick, talk.
How much time does any one of us
have left?
It's not really that long.
Let's do something fun.
Let's enjoy ourselves.
Let's get out there with Arvin's bar.
Got a bar to go to now
when we go to Brainerd,
which is cool.
Very exciting.
And thank you all to the Patreons
and everybody who supports the show
on a regular basis.
We are going to do
that giveaway
at Sue's Pit
on Friday
or whenever she's capable of doing it.
She's going to figure out how to do it.
She's going to get the responsibility
of picking the winner.
Sue, thank you for volunteering on that.
I will say to everyone,
I just want to shout out one more time,
Monica, doing a great job.
The gear, the WFO gear,
some other company has ripped off
our Miami Hollywood Speedway T-shirts.
That was annoying to me.
But get you some merch, baby.
Get you a Miami Hollywood Speedway T-shirt.
Get a Fire T-shirt.
Get a Project Pontiac T-shirt.
Get yourself a WFO mug.
Fire!
Get any of them.
They're all on sale.
They're discounted right now.
And we'll be again.
Shout out to Fogget.
Everyone should have a can of Fogget.
I've been thinking about this.
Like Gary is marketing this stuff
because it's great on the inside of a racing engine.
But it's great everywhere.
It's great everywhere.
The other day, the back of my trailer
had some surface rust on it.
I was like, oh, surface rust.
What do I do?
What do I do about the surface rust?
Done.
Still good.
Looking good.
Get yourself a can of Fogget.
Summit racing equipment.
Marvin Rodak spoke with Marvin.

He knew all about my mug.
Thank you, Bobby Graham.
Appreciate that.
But guys, get a bag of coffee from Marvin Rodak.
It is the best.
It really is like genuinely the best.
Let's start drinking that.
Thank you, Marvin, for supporting WFO radio.

We're talking about racing throughout vital industry.
Total Seal piston rings and FTI performance.
That's what's up right now.
Also, we got a new Total Seal Hidden Horsepower podcast
up and available with Sandy Wilkins,
who worked at Roush Yates Racing Engines,
built the smaller engines, like for Ken Block,
when he did all the Jim Conna stuff,
that twin-turbo four-cylinder,
making 1200 horsepower, something like that.
That was Sandy.
Had a lot to do with a lot of big things
that happened in the engine world.
So go check out Hidden Horsepower.
And we got a new episode going to drop next week.
The gentleman builds full-billet,
three-cylinder engines for midget cars,
like you run at the Chili Bowl where there are no rules.
And to me, it's the perfect competition eliminator engine.
Mom barbed to draw the winner, says Matt in Australia.
That could be fun.
Gio says, meet up at Z-Max.
I like that idea.
We'll do a meet up at Z-Max.
Have a great week, y'all.
Way to go, Megan.
Megan, keep the fantasy team rolling.
Monica says, have a fabulous week, everybody.
How about Arvin?
I always love when there's a new contact
with a listener out there.
He's been listening for over a year.
And he might have said longer.
And then every once in a while,
someone comes out, they jump on the show,
and we learn about something new.
How about that advice?
He's right.
How do you gain experiences?
We're telling all these kids, you can fail forward.
You can learn from your experiences.
It's okay to lose.
It's okay to fail.
And some of that stuff comes from bad decisions.
I think I'm going to try this.
Maybe it's a bad idea.
Don't forget, life's a drag, guys.
Guys have a life's a drag.
You know, they did a great job with the Matt Hagan interview.
They'll be on Wednesday.
But tomorrow, me, 1 o'clock, Chad Green, 120, Richard Gadsden.
I think Richard Gadsden is going to have a lot to say,
my personal opinion.
And Chad Green, very interesting character,
very interesting dynamic.
You are going to love it.
Chad Green, Richard Gadsden.
A little talk of ProStock too.
11,000 RPMs, huh?

About this episode
Joe Costello’s WFO Radio Ignition blends NHRA and NASCAR talk with plenty of off-track banter as Charlotte Week ramps up. The crew checks in on Super Street plans, fantasy NASCAR standings, and debates pro stock “parity” rules—especially hood scoops and the push toward more body-style matching. AI, streaming tech glitches, and camera/gear tips pop up too, along with an Australia report covering Supercars (Ford dominance) and Nitro Champs entry numbers. A first-time listener, Arvin, joins for a quick intro, plus the usual sponsors, giveaways, and racing-weekend updates.
The entire WFO crew is back in the house for a jam-packed episode of Ignition! Tyler Reddick scored a huge victory at Kansas Speedway, and the team breaks down the exciting race, the key moments, and what it means for the championship hunt. The conversation heats up as the crew dives into the growing role of AI in racing and the workplace – from strategy and simulation to the future of the sport and how it’s already changing how we all work. Gio in Miami brings the chaos with SportsCollision in Miami, while Sue Morris is gearing up for her next big run at zMAX Dragway and gives us the latest on her racing plans. Bobby Graham drops some serious wisdom and insight, Matt from Australia delivers his always entertaining and highly detailed Down Under report, and then things really get rowdy when Troy from Oregon jumps on the line and immediately starts causing havoc. Plus, we officially welcome a new voice to the show – say hello to Arvin! Fast cars, big laughs, strong opinions, and zero filter – this full-crew Ignition episode is pure WFO energy from start to finish. Tune in now and don’t miss it! #WFOIgnition #TylerReddick #DragRacing #AIRacing #Podcast
