So yeah, okay. Well, yeah, it's a Kia. Rio it done, I think was about 4,000 case the car and it was going in for 10,000 km service because he just doesn't drive it."

Um, to car talks Tuesday, show here in 90.9 Northwest F bam.
In the studio with mr. Allen but also online with
Scotty. Do.
What's happening gentlemen? So Maddie just happen to be here
as per usual. You know where the the car
talkgroup go to represent go you know you know how it is alway?
Always representing Scotty, it's not too bad back to school tomorrow, but I have to work. So I just been doing everything
I can to make sure I'm ready. It's been a hot minute of the
planning as well, and I really been doing much money, but complaining that I just saw Dice.
Back it up, back it up, that's more for you on.
This is like three months of the year, and it's very three months of the year. I'm sorry.
We have like 40 contact hours a week.
Oh yeah. Here we go.
Yeah. All right.
It's med school. Thank you very much.
Many people don't go back to like March.
See, that's where you're wrong. We already started this week, it
was a little different. We don't follow the rules.
Instead of the University, we woke up early, we got home late, we Don't do exams, wearing all those exams, we run our own rules and unfortunately just yeah, get get.
I feel like I have to now being camera, even though I've got to contact days, we've got classes running the entire week their online. So I'm trying to work out a way
where I can be in Melbourne, more often, which is not the easiest thing given that are lines of shut down.
Yeah, but we'll where there's a will there's a way and you know, where the cart or crew going to make it happen.
Worst case scenario obviously Skype in Or zoom in as you already do Scotty, sir. Well, at least on the show that
way for more Hands-On stuff will just have to wait for kind of holidays and stuff. Absolutely, but we will we will
be always doing the show anyway, regardless and we have having you from what from Interstate and making it work that way.
Hopefully we got some big news coming up soon, in terms of the show, be changes that we have that we have planning taking this to the next level. But We'll get to that when that
time comes now. Scotty care of days with you
been a while, been about two weeks since we've had you on mate. What is happening?
I know you've grown the beat out a little bit longer.
So a nice to me trim before I go back on.
It's a bit long and ya. Gotta fix that one recently
appeared as well. Yeah, yeah.
Really been working on the car. As we know that we know, I wish
I had more to say, but I haven't done that much.
I did try out the new McGuire's. Ceramic wax, hybrid ceramic.
Yes I thought I'd give that a will seems to be the in thing at the moment that was easy to put on and everything.
So I washed the car, I clay barred it but I've got the bowden's like the rubber clay bar me that they fit.
So now so I thought I'd give that a whirl to works really really good. Just got to make sure you follow
the instructions on how to care for.
And look after it, and will last quite some time.
And when it comes to the McGuire's product, it's pretty darn good. Driving.
You know, in the rain today and that and I stopped not a speck of water. Anything on it.
Yeah, just beads off. Just yeah, feed straight off.
It's a lot easier to clean. Just just don't, you know?
Next makes life a lot easier. Yeah, I'm just wondering how
long it'll last a surprisingly long division.
I think it depends on how you've applied it.
If you've gone the method of Ashley like rubbing into the panel's, you're looking at six months, easy, If you're going to Lazy route which is you, spray it onto the pedal pressure washer. It just so you can get the
hydrophobics. Then you're looking at probably
closer to about 23 months because it doesn't it doesn't make that strong of a bond. Yeah.
But what I would recommend is going to use a long term is the first time you apply it, do the proper thing rather than to all the panels. And from then on basically every
like two months when you doing the wash to spray the spray the panels and they will just rejuvenate that kind of out of Robux and your your base. Luckily for what the federal
model when it's on sale you basically you know I'd say halfway or 3/4 away to a ceramic coating if you're doing it regularly, keeping it up, you know maintained so it's definitely a quite a useful. Car care product.
Yeah, absolutes. All right, yeah, I did talk
properly, I did it all by hand. Each panel is, there's there's
more questions for me. I personally if I'm going to go
to the handrail we've been using now know that all Envy lust and envy jet. This is slightly more prosumer.
I guess you could say. Where is this?
I use very much on my dad's car mom's come.
Which I know there's no, you know, no one's going to take care of that car. So it's just that easy Spritz.
Spritz spray in your only one. It's a great way to because
we've got a large number of cars.
Faker, you get to pick and choose your battles and it's quite a handy little product cool.
Well, you know, it's going well so far.
And then, all I've done is just bought a new battery for the skyline and that is it. No.
So we're getting close. Neal score.
The or what's happening? Yeah.
I need to put this new battery in and just take it for a spin.
See how it goes. Yeah.
Sounds good. And you have to get the car on
the road soon Ishmael. Yep.
Yep. Yep.
Definitely. Feels good to me.
Oh of those with you ma'am. There has been basically no car
so it's really happening on my side and unfortunately it's going to try and prep the STi for the trip.
Down the camera. I'm going to give it a proper
wash, an extra little coating of in the booth.
East. Which like a sacrificial layer
because you end up hitting a ton of bugs.
I think the day I'm going to go this way about a 40% chance of rain here while I'm here. But in camera, I think it's more
like an eighty percent chance of a storm.
So I'm going to get the cars going to get wet crazy work, but I don't mind, I'd rather get width and bugs.
I think personally absolutely updates with me my, for, Alright, are we kidding? So it is officially two weeks
out of warranty, and it broke. And I was just, I was driving
and I finished the phone calls on the front of my mother.
I don't find that in the music still playing in and then it just completely cut out and then it gave me a steady screen then the pony loading screen, then study screen in the pilot loading screen, then nothing tried turning it off and back on again. Yeah, it's just your standard
fix of everything didn't do anything and I'm like well this is not grateful product that's this expensive.
So I I tried calling said company and the company is not taking any phone calls because I covid.
So, So which is a bit weird because that's our, are they working from home. So you have to send an email,
they got back to be proactively quickly, but either for my proof of purchase, now I've got a through work.
So consult upon that, we sell their, it's when we had to order in because it's, you know, like a higher-end model.
Got the receipt, took it into the place that repairs it there like this is two weeks out of warranty.
I'm like, well, that's kind of a bit ridiculous.
If it's, if it's If it's a bit two weeks because, you know, it's a very expensive unit so but I think hopefully they are they are going to do the warranty work for me and get it repaired. I was just going to throw in
there like the standard warranty that you are entitled to as an Australian consumers, 12 months. But that's not the be all and
end all the warranties. A lot of I would say retails
would make you like to think that but frequently there is caviar so that particularly On the cost of the item given that you can get a car stereo for about 250 bucks.
If you're paying two thousand dollars for the car stereo, there is a reasonable expectation that the product will last longer than 12, 24 months, most of the time.
So just because it's out of the 50, 12 months frequently, it can be a situation where the manufacturers still required to assist you in a warranty claim because any reason person, if you are told them. Hey, this is, we're going to
croak out in a year. Are you okay with that?
They want to bought a two thousand dollar, you know?
Absolutely. Um, kind of product.
So there's a reason, my expectations.
Similarly, as a TV, if you understanding 10 grand on TV and I conked out in a year, you're very much entirely get that TV repaired, even though it's been a year, it's an expectation on paying ten thousand dollars for a TV, when I can get a 500 or TV. I'm expecting the 10,000 1.12
last bit longer, so that's like a pro tip.
I guess I can talk Pro tip. It relates to more than just
cars but frequently just because your product seems to be out of the one, you Auntie depending on what it is and how much you spent on it, you may be entitled to a little more help from the manufacturer so don't get conned out there.
Yeah, exactly. Right.
And and I always a little I was like this is also good because it is a very expensive unit that like in we specifically had to order this one because of you know like well if I'm spending 500 bucks that's a for the standard one.
I like I might as well get the better one.
Let's Get Digital real. It's got its got all the bells
and whistles and you know and to be honest with you it worked flawlessly. The last two years, never had a
never had a single issue with it.
Just was he connected to my phone every single time could switch between phones seamlessly?
Great. You know, like a nun bun but on
behalf of their product is fantastic.
Like what I wanted to get into the Play Store, the lady was like she's like yeah one of these are my cards been flaws and my gear that looks. Oh, so is mine.
It's just just decided to do not Well, would you say work?
And there are no a bit surprised at the unit.
That is that how it how it broke?
But at the end of it, at the end of the day, they said to me, look, it's two weeks out of warranty.
They should want. And I'm like, well, for two
weeks they'd better bloody wanted to get because it's, you know, that's it's really, you know, makes me mad.
All I got cause I don't apple and companies like that, they do the whole planned obsolescence and they make you your things going to kind of just die off on that on that.
And as they come out of warranty like a few months later, it's really it really makes it hard for the consumer.
Especially when it's such an expensive item to just replace.
Like I'll just go spend another 1,200 bucks on another on another unit because it's, it's not right?
And it's finished. Shouldn't, it shouldn't be the
case we are joined by Adrian. What's happening Adrian?
Hello. What's going on?
You know, same old, I just legit.
Just woke up. So I'm still a little bit out of
it. And you didn't work today.
Now, I kept on colonizing, that's pretty good.
So what do you get public holidays, or is there somebody at your workplace, a small willing to work, public holidays. That's, I'm on salaries.
And accelerate. It's like, I paid extra for
public holidays, and I say, stay home the sweat off my back.
Yeah. So how's things with you
nothing's broken is looking at the M3 cosmati.
I can't even tell you because God is not even a, where is the car? Where did it wouldn't be on the
show behind him, guys. When your dad really likes, it
doesn't he he wants it. Yeah I remember you saying that.
Yeah but see what I don't like. Is that it over there?
He thinks that he's can take it. If you can cut out of it there
would you say he's gonna do my threads with you?
There it is. But as I say, And not always
exactly it. He thinks he's just going to
take him away. We're in discussions of how it's
going to work. So I was like, are you roommate
live in my house? A dream.
That's, that's how the discussions going at the moment.
So we'll say we'll say that. It's so I'm just waiting for the
He's just waiting for my husband.
So should be gone within the next couple weeks.
Sounds good. Also watching the news yesterday
and I saw mr. Troy Williams as as we all know
him as Troy candy-ass not condoning, the events, that happened to the other evening, kind of, I don't change subject, but it kind of, It kind of reiterate the point that we're talking about on Sunday. Like you would this video
because with the week before we talk about how can we save car meats and stuff? And this was in like, exactly,
exactly a week later. I was like, yeah, I was curious,
It's all this time. Just yep, he alleges that his
group of separate and it totally wasn't his crowd that did this.
And they just the people they're already having a bit of a goof and I think that's the truth. Probably lies somewhere.
Are in the middle moving on from that.
Like, you know, it was just it was just really it's just really sad to see us, you know, all kind of just put in that one basket of his. All I do, they like cars, they
do skids and just letting the community know, that is not the case with Oscar. So the cars can even do skids
are all drunk and others us very underpowered, some already broken. So this is also true, especially
within Three but it's working now it's working.
All right. No no I'm not talking about that
these kids. Yeah, it's yeah I be if x I6
turbo, you can not do a skit and I have not joking.
Follow extremely hard to believe.
But anyway. Yeah, I have sat there in Mexico
before Tried nothing. And I'm just like you can price
control off. This is my traction control on
it. This isn't working.
So this IBS that's weird. I sat there trying to do.
It wasn't interested. Did you say the that C63 burnout
in season? That is legitimized, the lmct
plus group that does is give aways don't you?
Give that kind of I've always thought it's a bit of a scam.
I'm like they probably don't give the causeway you know.
And now there's clear proof that they gave the kind of way.
So, somebody destroyed it. So, you know, at least that's a
pro for that he would they even had it on their own page.
Like, yes, this was one of the cars we gave what he, it's unfortunate, what happened. But I just I find, I found that
video so hard to watch or like, ah, that poor car like they do.
It's a beautiful car time. It's like I just said that left.
Yeah, what a memorable wedding get married.
My scenes c63s blowing up. Really, really Quality quality
of air. But like, but what was the
primary cause that? Would that be?
Because you can never fully turn off any like the French control stuff on those cars because Wheels were stopping in going like I felt there was some system finding them or something. Well, I think it popped And then
they eventually broke the district.
Well it's I think it's like a form of want to look, like it was coming out of one side. Like the smoke was pouring out
of the. Once I don't know if that's One
Bank of cylinders that the head gasket, let go or whatever it was, but it was just like, uh, but that the director heart and watch it those like that. The burnout beforehand was
pretty low-tier though. It was not a very good Burnett,
not that I'm the biggest catch on things, it's just, it was like, it was a bit of a stop-start affair.
The island goes to the other place that he live set, and we just watch videos and he's just the one saying, like he's the one to emulate, just go. Yeah, yeah, that's a burden.
But yeah, it's all on you. The opportunity to try ends push
some positive gone through. Absolutely.
I have to say that I was actually pleasantly surprised by. Yeah, it's not an Australian
which is unfortunate but the car scene in Canada.
Specifically, the exotic car seat over there.
So everyone that owns supercars hypercars and all that they did something, it was about a month ago.
That just it just warms, you know what, you see something with just like warms you up inside you just like that's being human population doing good.
That's what happens. Every time I see.
You just want to step inside your sweetheart.
That's a different reason I will talk about that afterwards but what they did is they got everyone who understood car.
They all went down to one of the toys shops and they filled up every car with toys and they did a toy drive for charity.
So everyone who had a car like that is the car that go to where they deliver all the toys. They get a photo of the Kyle for
twenties in it, and that's what they get out of it.
And then I give all the toys to charity.
That's pretty good. The Silicon means like you can't
fit to me to us in a soup because there's those what they do. It's hilarious.
And one of the guys, he fills up the car did he had one of these big massive stuff getting pissed.
And the only way to actually get it is here to sit in the cart get Teddy, put on top Love you. So that the head was to the
sides, see where he's going and drive it all the way down to with a thing. I was he doesn't burn it hurts
as well. I'm just like, all right, these
guys came, see, if there were fishing about it, you can actually get like a tow bar on a limb beginning and I should've just had a trailer hitch on to the level Global.
So did have roof racks up, that's pretty cool.
That's cool. I just think like I've seen his
like 9/11 we like ab and then it has like the rear of a 911 that's been shocked turning it like that.
Yeah, there's some pretty cool stuff.
Well it was animation that I think it'd be pretty cool if something like that was to happen here.
Now not just supercars anybody who has a car Phillip The Cars toys or even if you just want to give one and a toy drive happens. Hmm.
And it's just after that you just it just goes to show that the car Community here is not always - it's not always about on. Who does the biggest kids?
All that kind of stuff. It's back.
Yeah, like having trouble for the in your court, having charitable causes in your corner.
Is definitely a good way to one Ghana, I guess better relationships with the community overall and just yeah, for The Outsiders that just don't know anything except for what's shown on the news, kind of give them at least a positive view of car community. And again like Securities are
That way as well. So it's a win-win situation.
Well, that's a second. As I said, just one type of car.
I'm thinking we call on all kinds of communities, no matter what car you've got. Just don't be stupid when you're
driving the car. That's all we ask.
I reckon that it might be a good idea to try.
See if we can actually organizes.
Yeah. Like the the event the issues I
went down from the Troy candy event I feel will see not the response or the caused due to one single person.
Um, or, you know, it was, It was obviously had a lot to do with what went down with the covid lockdown.
People not being able to go out and about just that sort of thing. I think it bubbled over into all
sorts of different groups. There were, will call them
Freedom. Fighters earlier on, that were
protesting this against the lockdowns, you know?
And think I lived on all that sort of thing.
And I'm sure those people are in all sorts of groups, including the car groups. So there has been their
opportunity to kind of fight the man.
And our purpose would you like is this again?
It doesn't represent all of us and we I'd say the vast majority of us will disavow those actions but it doesn't matter to most people. They like well you're all these,
you know homes and you know there's somehow will get charged with drug dealing as well like the like you doing drugs, you stealing cars you stealing everything next thing you know you're Dominic Toretto and go to jail for like 80 years because you never had your car. You know what?
On that day with someone from the public, but he is and unfortunately, they passed away from your talking about a very, very different kind of a community.
So, what's happening right now, Absolutely.
And it's a big thing that's going on, you know, it's, it's like, it's especially with with like a little safety issues that we're having in it. So it's a room, it's a real, big
thing. And I think we're going to be a
bit more smarter about it. We are joined by the one and
only Edward bunting. How are you different from your
trip away. Hello, boys.
I'm very relaxed from my trip away.
It was lovely. That's good to hear.
It's quite warm. It's like 21 degrees out there.
You serious. Is freezing down here.
Where are you? The northern suburbs, North
Portland, suburbs. I'm like sweating up into
t-shirt. It's hot.
What are we? What are we getting stuck into
tonight? We'll just talk about like the
events that happened the other night.
I saw something online about that someone commented, maybe, but I haven't heard anything about it.
Can you feel me in? Oh, can I fill you in?
You were probably causing the bloody offense 8.
Yeah, I was there, but basically it's been like that the last two discussions about it for this episode last time so it was just like that. So I went down and basically
just got out of control, long story short.
Yeah, do you know of the The Wrath of the like they do all the car wraps place, called eye candy Motorsports, I don't.
But what you're talking about you're talking, I want a car, a pink blue wrap my car. That's great man, what?
Okay, yeah, yeah. So does the person who wins at
his name's Troy candy Williams. Yeah.
And he organized the meeting happened.
Last Friday. Yep.
To go from. Dandenong to St.
Kilda. This is just a meet up at my
place. Drive your car to sing Gilda?
Yeah, there's no way anybody could pack kind of.
Yeah. But group continued gone all the
way down to st. Kilda now whenever to sync your
do the group just tripled in size and everyone was doing burnouts. It almost looks like a scene
from the riots that happened in America.
Yeah, no one can move anywhere. People doing burnouts in these
people, jumping on the roofs of the cars wheels, and this is what kind of cars are we talking like, this isn't it?
This isn't sort of classic car that would imagine most of them.
Commodores right. Well, looking at the photos.
All the cars look just you know cause you just see everyday really I think But the stories were just discussing it had. This is now ruined it even more
for us Community. Mmm, so what happened after they
were doing a lot of Bennett's, everything with the cops will call it. Obviously all the cops went,
they got the doors caved in. Because people give them speak
the cop cars. No kicking cop cars.
Wow, they just left to one of the police officers is quite it's quite yet, far-fetched, your behavior and this is where we're discussing. Like we're trying to understand
why it's happened in the first place and how to stop it, how to show that, it's not all car a sleep.
It's only a small minority that have to gonna ruin most comets.
Certainly don't go anywhere near that level, you know, there's no, I don't know if you seen the ones that happen at.
That's a lot of donuts. We're not the ones, the ones I
go to don't end up like that. It's people talk about oh I see
you've got the original upholstery in that blah blah blah but yes, I've been to a car meet with you before.
I've got very bored very quickly, which one is our classic Japan? Pants.
Yeah. Because we're trying to walk
through all the cars and Rihanna.
Yeah well I like talk to people about the car is just a side effect of being in the northern suburbs that street the the traffic lights nearby are basically a drag strip and then everyone does banessa goes. They, they were a drag strip
before the four doors opened and they will It's this amazing hearing this island. No, I'm, I'm just a part of the
environment. I'm no, the suburbs boy, I'm
just showing what I see is is all that's, that's, that's the truth of it. If you go out past 10:00 p.m.
in, to that intersection cars, are lining up, things are happening, you hearing dies, she fought there everywhere.
This is the, this is the bang. Bang, bang, bang, bang.
Bang exhausts. Yes.
My friends that exhaust he's got that on his debts, you know, his car, he really likes it and he has his habit of driving past my house and he's the only one in this area who has a car that sounds like that. But I'll be in bed at like level
5, just dozing off and he'll be coming home from some club or something and you hear this. Hmm.
Bang, bang, bang. Bang, bang.
Bang. And I know it sounds like
someone one night. I was brushing my teeth.
And I thought someone was banging on my front door, you know? And I was like, what the hell
and I was about to go downstairs and, you know, see what was going on. And then I'm like, No, that's
that's a 5-cylinder turbo with a tune on it.
Thank you, he takes great Delight in waking me up whenever possible. I'd lose it for variable.
You know, what happens when you do that you get a kind of anonymous report to the EPA for a noise violation.
For ya. Don't you know how hard it is to
do that like it in all seriousness here, I've got ve civil Commodore that comes past that has no catalytic converter on it. And as he goes past, it just
annoys the shit out of me because everything in my house is vibrating. So I got his license plate
because, hey guys, have you seen?
This is this character a keeper? Yes, they said a peep layer?
Yes. Yeah.
I've heard of black license plate.
The supermarket is it out there? It's just, it's just irritating.
So I called the cops and I went, how do I go about this?
Cop said, you need to speak to EPA so I'm like, alright, cool.
Jumped on the APA website, found out the noise, pollution and all that kind of stuff call them up. They said, you need to speak to
the pot so it isn't like your Place never cool sweet.
So according to local police station and they said there's nothing that we can do the next time it happens.
You need to call up triple zero. You need to tell them that
there's car-related pruning and I'll send someone down straight away. And I'm just, like, good luck.
I'm trying to do is just report so that you could go to this guy's house because he's got no cat on it because that's how I know you get sound out of it. Then I'm hoping so it's like I
can't be bothered. I'm just done but I do like a
cycle hearing like if he's someone throw a cigarette butt out the window, you know, you can sort of, you can contact the EPO or whatever the littering hotline is and You can sort of say the time and the day that you saw them and list the ridge.
Oh and I don't know what they do.
Well that's that's all I was trying to do is just loosen the red. Just say they don't take a look
at the car and maybe I said no you need to also know if they said you could speak to liver cancer and the local Council said that you're gonna go to the cops but it was just like a circle. So drawing all the story.
Is that guy? The silver case, if I see you
again, I'll break your window that's it.
Hey, Yeah. It's just interesting to see
where there's a lot but that's just the way it goes.
That was a nutrient. Yeah I've heard that car at the
Macker. It's bad isn't he?
Just sat in the car parking just kept raving it.
Yeah it's terrible. Bored of that.
Like you do it once or three dozen the time.
No moving on. I have been watching a lot of
shows now, Edward and along. I know you guys know that I of a
high, my life. I reckon a high mileage is a
good car to buy you like a High Miler.
Do you know I think my mercs 500,000 case plus the ltd's 245.
That's like the ltd's quite low for itself is quite low.
But the laser 298, M I2 320 lat and the world there.
I think there's a word for a person like you Sucka.
Yeah. Hi Marla.
Is it just a good car to buy but I wouldn't rule it out at a certain price point, you know? Like and at the some sometimes I
get so ludicrous like you know like your your Mercedes with fellow finder on that it becomes a novelty.
It's like well let's see if I can get it to 550 or get it to 600, you know. It's like it becomes a yeah that
the more stupid it gets the The more tempting it is to buy it and just see how long it goes for.
Well, it depends on the car too. Well, it's funny you say that
because like I know you guys will be seeing him that far as million more Lexus LS400. It's legit done.
All my it was like he wouldn't 900 something thousand miles away and he's like, he's just giving it to people to drive just drive around America, just like just get it to the million miles. I want to see and that's on its
original engine. I think it's hadn't had another
Transmission in at some point or But it's you know, it's it's it's part of the formula. I'll be watching some other
YouTube channels because like at the some of the ones that I normally watch, I'm getting a bit bored with.
So I've got onto recently legit streetcars and he is pretty awesome. Used to be is a next Mercedes
Tech and he buys like hi Milo examples of like AMG cars, IE 55 and stuff. And then he upgrades them, he
prepares them and he has fun with them.
He just he recently put in ether M5 which he did.
His research is like this probably the most reliable income made with four hundred thousand four hundred nine thousand miles on it miles and that's Mi we can 600,000 cases give or take it. Did you say because it's got the
full service history everything he's like I'm nervous in the service if you like everything is just dumb, he's like it's it blew out its warranty in within the first year did 90,000 miles in its first year. So this car has has been driven
but it's had a full respray and actually looks really, really good mechanically Wise. It's had a lot of work done.
It's, you know, it's at the Battle system done.
I think they did rod bearings, just because M car, but they're not synonymous on those together ever.
Been has it been rebuilt like rings and heads and stuff?
Nope, so that's good and that, that's what, what, you know, I sort of take that as the guts of the high mileage car, like, if it hasn't had the head off, I mean, maybe, okay, some of them had It often happens that a bottom in rebuild, then that's like, that still writes in my book.
But if you've had people like, oh my castle, 1.6 million cases,
you go? Yeah.
How many inches is a total of 15 inches?
I will, of course. It's some 1.6 million.
Like anything can be repaired. Anything could be rebuilt, you
know. Well, that's not, that's not
shocking to me. Where is an original motor with
that mileage is shocking to me. Well, like a mile or two for it.
Had the head off at about 330,000 KS and Just just had a head gasket pop back on its original bottom and then it still it still goes okay like that guy.
I work with that's got I think was like 1.2 million.
Kazon he's a you Falcon original original engine.
Like that's that's that's his daily drives and he's like he's like yeah I know looks like a piece of crap and it pretty much is a piece of crap but it's it drives so smooth as that he bought it and you know that's impressive.
That's what you write that you know.
Absolutely I think I think there's more there's more.
In a car like that especially when buying a car with them anymore. So you wouldn't know what story
you want to know what's happened to it, you want to know, you know, if though, if that were to happen to, it will be everything on the the value proposition of, let's just say a college more collectible. If you do buy one of the higher
mileage options, or like, there's just take, for example, the highest mileage option. You have available can enjoy,
you can enjoy it. You don't need to worry about
putting any case on that car, because it's worried.
The highest mileage one there is, so you look at change.
That's right. You can attempt to maybe not
driving at all and get somebody else with the highest mileage.
But what's the point? If you're actually going to
enjoy the car, if you're able to buy something a little bit cheaper, because it's the highest mileage example around, and then you'll just have to enjoy it.
I think that is one of the best things you can do like, and there's no, no one likes to feel guilty about driving their classic and some of those super low mileage cars.
You know, every kilometer you put on, you've got on Man of spoon, another one, I don't know what, you know, and you feel more and more guilty driving it. That's not what they're designed
for. You got it, you got it.
Exactly. Right, as I said before, what it
comes down to is what car you've actually got.
If you're going to collect this car, yes, they'll case need to stay low. Yes, it hurts putting commas on
it, but if you've got a car, which let's say, that's not a Supercar, that's not like an old classic that you've just rebuilt, they're made to be driven.
And every cosmetic, we drill a lot.
Lots of stories, like those collectible cars.
I mean, it's a kite. It's been engineered.
It's been designed to go around a road to be together.
If it's like one of like 500 in the world, I would be a bit hesitant driving that because it's like, first of all, the spares aren't going to be cheap. Second of all, you don't want to
put a case on it because it's worth some money as it is, but if you buy a car, That was made to be driven.
And it's why the available, there's Parts everywhere, all that kind of stuff. And you're like, oh no, I can't
drive this because I don't want to put any case on it.
Well, no, that's wrong. So it is.
So you're telling me with that with that theory, Adrian might, I think that made 507 of those that I should not drive a because it's a limited number car, but I enjoy driving it.
I want to drive it. I know the parts are hard to
get. I know the rear by 5.
It hits four and a half Grand to replace.
I know, I know bits and pieces are expensive for that car, but it's a kind of should be driven like or what I took it into my mechanics and he had a look at it.
When you go to services like like mechanically it's perfect, except it's got that remain leak but he's like good that we mainly just comes from not driving the car, it's actually worse. If you're not, if you don't
drive a car because all the seals dry up and and it doesn't, it doesn't. I said, as I said it comes to
the car. Yes.
It's one of 500 of at be a typhoon.
So yeah, like I get what you're saying, I'm probably not going to want to drive it every day. That's what I mean.
Like so like for instance, yes, but they also came out in the bfz also came out in the fgs, don't to me it's like, yes, I can understand that. Don't want to drive it but at
the end of the day, it's a falcon.
I don't even know. If something happens, you can
still find parts on the street. Yes, it's harder to find the
body. Kids are not going to say no but
if it comes down to it, you can go to places and make the fiberglass copies, you can get something made for it.
I'm talking more something like super car related.
If you go and buy like just say a Lamborghini Murcielago something like that, you don't drive.
One of those, they're made to sit in the garage.
Unless it's special occasions where you take it out because this is what you have dailies. Well, that's what I'm saying.
So, you know, yeah, I want that. You just used to cruise and
actually enjoy as on a going on certain roads and things like that. That's, that's great.
So, the thing for me, that absolutely annoys me is being part of the M3 group, people who don't drive there in threes, because I went to special car and it's all No, it's an M3.
There was tons of and made they're made to be sports cars that are driven drive it. I think I think the other aspect
of it is who you saving it for you know like well that's exactly it you know Ed you know when you're saying you know who you saving it for a Minds me of like old grandparents who leave the plastic on the furniture. That's what ha ha ha yes for
enjoy. We paid good money for.
Yeah. You know, parents are going to
die and this is immaculate, couch going to the up shop?
Yeah, exactly do the same with the causes.
Well, I remember when I used to work at Kmart time, although there was a purse, an older gentleman that he was in one of the Old people houses I can't think of what's the Retirement Village? So yeah, okay.
Well, yeah, it's a Kia. Rio it done, I think was about
4,000 case the car and it was going in for 10,000 km service because he just doesn't drive it.
But I mean, I know people, they don't go a lot of places, some of them, you know. So that's hot my everywhere.
Well, that's cool. But I don't Have cause to drive
very fast, so he, but let's that's also true.
I was going to drive my mood could, too.
Where was it? Cut down in Western Victoria.
I thought I'll take the coop down and I was telling it talking to David about it. David said all, but you'll be
putting case in the car and I said, but who am I saving it for? I'd rather do a great trip and
put 1,000 case, I'm a car and enjoy it rather than have it in Cotton wool because we're not dead.
Someone else will get it and whether it's done 175 or 182 when they get it, well, who cares?
Like it. Not my problem.
That's a real important thing is that you put there that a lot of people don't acknowledge completely is because like one of the my dream cars is an F40 and I'm hustling hard.
That's, you know, just knock knock, knock someone say, that's the reason why I got to stay. But the only way to me is, I
would, if I owned this car insurance permitting, take the car out as much as I could, so that one I could And two other people experience that just by having a look, my possibly having a seat if they pull out enough that kind of thing because that to me is the ultimate Spirit of the cop.
You know, it's a car, it's got to be seen and it's going to be experience. And if I'm lying on my deathbed,
that's why I'd probably buy the highest mileage example I could.
Because I don't care if I'm gonna get extra case on it because I'd like to actually get those case on it.
I can lie there and say run that time I took it out for that Autumn Drive and the leaves are dropping and the kind of slipped a bit and I got scared but still there was such a good Drive and that's, that's the kind of thing.
That's, that's what I'd much rather have then say, hey, I kept, this are 40 in mint condition and so I sold it for an extra million dollars and then my kids use their money on drugs and they died or whatever it does me get this straight.
If you know what you're doing with that money, as a successful business person, you can frequently do much better.
If you use your money in a more practical manner.
Well, I think it's a weird ego aspect of like organs back to my garage and it's an F40 and it's so rare and people can come look at it. And you know, I've got to send,
it makes me feel more manly about myself then it is about enjoying the car. So I went to V PW the other day
and they've got a gts-r Commodore in there.
Still the original pi/6 still, all on the steering wheel on the seats, all the dealer stickers, it hasn't even been delivered.
The car was not not delivered through a show.
It was just So, at the back door, it says do not touch.
It's got no miles on it. It's it's it's a brand-new car
and I'm like this is absolutely amazing performance again like one of the best, you know, it goes right up there, you know, the w1w1 took it off to witness and Retail was quicker than a GTR end around the track of whatever trigger was occurring.
What it was. And I'm on like, this is a
proper car that, that deserves to be driven in, needs to be driven, and it'll just forever. Just be a showpiece.
Now, what a shame, what. Is it this is the thing.
People like your friend, agent, daily driven Exotics, who drive exotic cars every day and also have, this is what I'm trying to say. Is it depends on the car seat to
me as much as it's a GSR. Same is like if we be if
peavey's and all that to me they're all Falcons drive them, they're all Commodores drive them.
At the end of the day. Yes, those companies that out of
Australia, but there's still spare parts around.
When you go back to like the people that I love watching and did eat daily driven Exotics, they put it in a perfect example, they buy cars that are made to be driven the goal, Otto's the Hurricanes, the McLaren 728, they, they've got a 488 Italian. You, it's all stuff that's made
to be driven. The only one that they don't
drive is a Murcielago because that things always get the motor out. There's always issues with That
there is more of a collector's piece than a driver's car, because yes, it sounds good, when it does drive, but then it's the months and months afterwards that you have to, then replace. You see after a place that you
have to replace everything going on that, huh?
Let's see this time only the card that point like, well that that's something that's more. He's keeping it as a collector's
car because right now it's worth four hundred thousand dollars Canadian. Give it a couple of years, I'll
be worth a million dollars Canadian but he's got all his Other super, because he drives any case that out occasion to me to me. This is the one thing that I
want to bring up with this scenario with driving the columns are not in the area that we are in, is getting our ages and all that, I don't think that we have the cars that are worth all, it's a collector's car. We have to put it aside, we
can't touch it. We bikes cars that I made to be
driven. It's just in our budget of what
we buy. The one thing that has ever
absolutely given me the shits and I voiced it to him before as well, is my mate Alex. The one that has the 34 Skyline,
the gtt, he bought that with it was 28,000 case on the clock.
It's all about 1998 car that has this.
Now, the car wasn't cared for properly before he purchased it, the guy that had it before him, had it for eight years sitting outside. So the paint has faded a little
bit on it but it's coming up with all these little gremlins was just has driven now because he bought such a load mileage car. He's also keeping it as a garage
quick. It sits in the garage he does
nothing with it. I hate that you're buying the
skyline which is Japan's pride and joy.
They made those cars to be driven and you're not driving at the way that it's supposed to. But he could take that outside,
for example, once a week. And it's still always going to
be a low-mileage car because it was so funny -, you know, he's never, it's never going to not be a low-mileage example, sort of thing, just because of how low it was, when Hello the Kaiser and I get that. It's just so I think it's, hence
just doesn't drive it and it's frustrating because it's like the only time that he ever wants to drive it is, he's going to attract today, but he can't take it to the trucks and cars.
Not. Eddie because it's having just
all kind of Gremlins and all kind of issues.
So it's like you got to purchase his car which is becoming more than a hassle than an actual driver.
Whereas I've done the opposite, I went and bought something with more case, arguably the wrong thing happened to because of the person that owned it before me. But you go and look at the car.
Now, now that I've fixed it all up, I drove that thing every day. If I'm not driving at my dad's
driving, we have no issues with this car.
I can't do like to be driven. They don't like, what's it's
exactly. It feels like after I think I
said on this program after Corona, when I went down to 22 res, try and resurrect all my bun.
Fine cars, sitting there, you know, there was colored liquid under all of them which even the ones that don't normally leak will leaking because just the seals have just gone hard and started to dry out and you know, drip drip drip from the transmission, drip drip drip from the rear main or whatever and then you know I drive them, get the nice.
Hot again and up. It's fine.
It doesn't leak or, you know, so it's um, they really do need exercise much like the human body.
It's exactly it. Yeah, again, like I was watching
on YouTube and it has got something that you want to buy this Corvette. He's far as a kid and it's like
you found the best one in the country.
Like, it done, like 10,000 miles or whatever it was, and he started it and it drove like absolute crap in the guys like well, yeah, he's like this is a showpiece.
Isn't that a car? You can drive?
He's like, well, I want to talk and enjoys.
I call this one of the car for you.
So it kind of annoys me that like some cars or a lot of cars, like, for example, like that and like the GSR and and I give us a lot of exotic will never get to really do anything because they just they just sit there and they'll be like, well, this is a kind of like a an investment piece, which to be honest with you, when you buy a car, okay, just depends for example.
Liz. They dropped in value for like a
day and they went off and like, they're like yeah, good luck getting one. It's also all those cars that
are now getting up in value, I have customers coming in all the time, they've got this car, they've got that car.
There are cars that are worth. Yes, a money.
You know what? They turn around and say to me
there I take it out on Sundays, when it's nice, when it's nice weather, I go and drive it and I told him I'm like you doing a correct, you're enjoying your car and then they turn around and say to me, why would I buy a car like this?
If I'm not going to drive it? Yeah, yes.
It's worth x amount of money but that x amount of money is doing nothing for me at the moment. If it's got a few more case on
it, you know, you did that. Yeah, couple of grand off.
Whatever. Is, but you're enjoying it,
you're enjoying your memories that it might I couldn't stand.
It mention opening your garage and having five cars that were that you really like, that's why you bought them and not turning the key is like, I mean, mine, I do that with mine because they're not working, you know, there'll be some reason why that everybody does that cause he's kind of Soul of sleep but if they if they work it's like, oh, I haven't driven that a while.
I God damn it. Nothing can stop me getting
behind the wheel of that right now.
I wasn't exactly. I agree.
I have a car off the road for two years so far, I like it.
This is why I bought it in the first place.
He gave you all the sheets but it works.
It's just amazing ago and they had an escort RS, Cosworth which is one of my dream cars and it's so 90s, rally Legend, you know, it's up there with the Delta integrale a, and the and the crawler. Due to assorted, there's like a
g for it. It's for me.
That was my ear of car. I had a look at it.
It was on the back of a trailer Trail.
It in the paint was all just yuck.
It was a God but it's still a escort.
Cosworth. I had a look at the reason why I
was trailing in, it had two miles on it.
Well, and I'm like, like, what is the point of owning this car?
It's a rally Legend, needs to be driven, and needs to be on the road and I'm just like, but I get where the values and some of the people Was like, well I want the best one but then like what's the point of having the best one?
If you can't even actually get to exploit it, like we'll talk about it in the concept of these cars are frequently pieces of Art and a painting can be enjoyed ultimately, by just visualizing it. If your something musical you'd
have to listen to it, you can just keep the record there.
Obviously, you know, you have somebody either compose it or, you know, just in any way. You'd listened to it a cars,
ultimate. Way of experiencing that art
that it is is driving and if you're not doing that I feel you just doing it wrong. Again the idea of Investments
and that sort of thing Investments that pay proper dividends. Most of the time those people
that are buying those like the hundred plus thousand dollar car that becomes a 30 thousand dollar cap, they frequently not in a position that that's the primary breadwinning thing.
They've got plenty of other money.
Usually if they're being smart about those are not being morons, buying a car, they can afford, you know.
That it does actually making the money.
So again, spend that same amount of money on proper business thing. We'll call it proper
Investments, any kind of lettuce, a retailing Albany, you property, even you generally make more money in that same time, period. That would have your cars going
to preciate, except for very very Niche cases.
So it's just like, they're not a good investment, real estate.
It's just, there are investment of the heart, in my opinion, you know, it's something that catches your eye, your turn.
Key you turn the engine on like driving home for the other day in the STI. I actually probably fell in love
with the car the first time. Like it was that uneasiness
until I just had the Zen experience, just driving home and I was like, this is it, this is what I've been looking for, it wasn't very fast, it was just a cruise.
And this like, I know I need to drive this car to get that.
Then again and that's, you know, that's my heart, I guess you could say, see this is well II agree with you.
I went to my uncle's place. It was last week but they was I
don't know what that was. I think it was the Friday.
I just went to go say hello, he leaves.
Need Taylor's Lakes area, so I went the back way through bulla you got. You got the nice heel, the goes
down and all that kind of stuff. And I had a similar moment on
the way there and on the way back where it was just me and the car had no radio going change down.
A few years ago and down the hill here, the exhaust.
And as you're going back up the hill.
Yeah, you were a bit of a squirt to try and get it up and it's just at that point. It's like this is just
perfection. It just does what I needed to
those people that don't have them won't get that.
They don't get that experience. So you blue balls, are they
Experience the wealth side of it so they do get the money side of it. But they don't get the heart,
the passion that was put into that car to make it what it is and and again lying on your deathbed.
It's the passion moments. Those hard moments that you
remember the most not the you know I made an extra two million dollars this year. Yes it's all good.
At the end of the day You're on your deathbed, who say he's getting you two million bucks. Exactly.
Like, we're going to take it up, bring it with you.
We take it here but that's it is what it is.
You can't change people's minds but I said before it's a depends on why you buy the car. You buy it as an investment you
buy for money. That's fair enough.
You've got the money to do it to continue.
Increasing your wealth but I bet you any money.
The people that buy those cars to increase their wealth.
They also have those cars. Has that they keep to just dry.
But see, I would rather buy, I'd rather buy a fully documented High Miler. Then when that's done, no case
at all. I'll like, you know, like 50,000
cases with no, no service history and plenty of issues because I know all the issues will be sorted.
I know, it'll be a dry wine, I could enjoy it, you know, that's all, I mean, not too many cases, not to little ches That's kind of what I see as a good cop because they are not getting all the issues from the high mileage, but Yosemite movie shoots Ferb. Well, I might get off on a
little high milers. They've got all this stuff
sorted. So that's that I mean I would
have your molars and now I haven't really, I mean okay like I've have issues better because have kind of can't even their brains So anyway, we'll move on to the car quiz gentlemen.
So 10 questions, as we know basically we just go.
We go through buzzing with your name.
No, chaining Adrian, I can see it in your eyes.
You're already starting to shake.
So you've got a phone. What would you describe would
you bought? Would you prefer a High Miler?
Or would you yeah, back with the skyline I must say.
No one from what? I've seen, no one cares about
how many km on it. Anyway, yeah.
Well, they pretty much been modified and everything's been changed out with new parts. But also, if you can't verify
the km, no one gives a shit that I'm going to believe it, anyone?
Yeah. Well, see, what would the
skylines? I think it's if it's a gdr then
yes, I'll okay's the better because it's worth more.
But when it's a GT, where are you GT?
It's basically I would much rather.
So okay he spends I think it was twenty four, twenty five thousand dollars on this guy. Yeah.
I would have preferred his at the time he purchases, there was a white GT with about 500 horsepower, coming out of it for the same amount of money. I would have preferred that one
because I had them all case. It was all working.
It was all for it. There's also questions about
with modification to a carbonyl, don't get me wrong like I'd take it for a test drive before and make sure it works properly.
But yeah, I would have much rather that as investment because everything is done. Hmm.
Anyway, let's get into the car quiz question, one in what decade did the Saab 9000? Come out in Ed, Ed Saab, 9000
came out in the 80s. It is the 80s.
Well done. Question 2, what color am I Born

You talking about that commodore?
The genocide. Whatever it is.
You decide what w one thing that we're talking about.
Jessica. Correct.
Well done. Well done question.
I was nine. I'm like he has to be a
Commodore. No one else how many
transmission options were available with the GTS rw1 nature? Hello, good evening.
I'm going to say 11 years. There was only available as a
manual transmission. Yeah, automatic Question 7.
What Kyle I produced from 1996 to 2006?
This car was based off a sports car and became a cult classic in its own, right? Utilizing the running gear from
its port card Briella. This car was only available as a

Toyota Echo it. What?
Okay, score check at question. That's not what the heiress was

Well, it was do it on this one. What kind of mine made by a

that question. I haven't think about it.
It's either bonus. Question, what was the name of
the brand? But I think it was Hindu stew.
It's in those tunnels. Oh, that's pretty close.
That's a deserves. A point.
Five. Uh, tried Hindus mode.
Step. That's like, Question 10.
What was that? What is the Nissan Skyline
currently classed? As in terms of a car?
Adrian Adrian. Supercar incorrect.
I'll Scott Glover? Yes, yes, you said it?
Yes, I'm out what he said. LM confused.
I'm so confused. Unless the answer is alum you
just said Alum he was gonna say Coupe incorrect Scott Scott, isn't it now a luxury car. Yep, there's a name for it.
This is a specific style of vehicle, that's for sale in my in Market. Well, actually Saloon like
freaking strong. What else?
I:. I'll give you a point five
there. Any Alaska's before we before we
go? No, it is called a compact
Executive Car these days. Yes.
Okay. See, not a Supercar, not a
supercar. Well, that's that's what, who's
won the question. We have a toy between the time
and gentlemen, my break. I give my points to Ed.

Another question. All right, when did the Morris
