"But anyway, that's that's quite funny. Yeah, I think maybe, I don't know, I think probably looked like obviously I was going to say the Ranger, but obviously with the the look of the F-150, but they've already done that. They've, you know, the sort of similarly bought, brought out that boulder look at the front, yeah."
"for the type of Rs edition is what it's called. OK question 5 Toyota Camry's most expensive car on sale in Australia. So like the most expensive version of a Camry starts at 50,000 Watt Tyrant, so it's in it's in the 50 thousands. So if you can give me a number,"
"...et me know anytime. So he he's your guy. Scotties Golf, Tip of the week. Clean your balls. Do that every..."

This is professional radio. Has front wheel drive.
But if you got anyone you want to think.
Just myself. And now we'll do the after.
Hours. Gentlemen, what would you do
for? Us in there.
OK. And because there's not a
supercar, there is. It's not.
Ordinary perfection comes in the form of two letters A&U.
Long live my Ltd. Welcome to Car Talk.
It's Tuesday night here in a 49 NW FM.
It's me, Mary J in studio with Tyrone Cabral online with Edward Bunting, Solido Johnson and Mr. David Prince.
How are you, gentlemen? Good.
Evening one and all. Going well, Thank you very much.
Good to see you. Finally, someone actually asked
me for a change. Is actually nice.
I'm yeah, I'm doing well, doing well.
Thank. You.
Because we care. We care.
I can. I can.
I can see that. I can see that.
Just for this week. Thank you.
Thank you. I'll take the one week, Scotty,
I'll take the one. Week today.
Are you OK? Day or something, Scotty?
I can't remember when it's coming up.
It seems to be every 10 minutes. Might be in September or
something I think. That kid talk amongst yourselves
or Google When is Are you OK day.
Yeah. So surfing through here through
everyday surfing interrupting you Mr Prince though because you asking Scotty about his back wall.
For our listeners at home, his his wall of automotive extravagance is getting bigger by the week and it's looking really, really good. Scotty.
Yeah, I just had to move a few things and I put some other cars through the glass cabinet and just to make room for my katanas on top. Because I had them the whole
time, just hidden behind behind these, behind the laptop.
And I've got a gaming PC just behind me too.
So I just use my work laptop to do the podcast and that, and that's where they just been sitting and just hiding behind there. But they just moved a few
things, made a bit of room to put them up there.
Nice. Finishing up a bit so, so Long
story short, no one's going to go rob you because you're going to put a guitar and be like what And just and just fooling and Leonardo Ninja Turtle and then you'll be you'll be good.
If it's at night and I'm in bed, I'll be chasing them down the street in my boxes going away. That'll freak him out.
I don't think they'll come back saying that.
It won't be the IT won't be the the Catana that scares him to be you and your boxes that scares of scam.
They won't come back then. No, I thought that's.
Good. It'll be on the news.
I don't have to reenact it. It's always so cool when you see
them. Yeah, well, I was in the jobs
and yeah. Right.
For it I would. Just these ones right here that
I'm wary. Did you guys ever see the one
where the guy in is Northern Queensland someone was in his garage and stealing his his Land Cruiser and and he was the guy.
This guy was in there in the garage for like a good hour just packing the cruiser full of all his tools and stuff and anyway goes to drive out and and the guy the guy's wife like it's almost taking the car so he goes out while the car is going through his property jumps and pushes him out.
His wife comes out with a with a big plank of wood and just started whacking him with the head.
That was highly recent, wasn't. It was fairly recent and they
got the news and. This was like, yeah, I got him a
good a couple of good times. I I I was dying.
It was the funniest thing I've ever seen, so.
I thought you gonna mention, I thought you gonna mention the one where it was a couple on that little motorbike.
No. And he tried to drive away with
her on the back. These were the the robbers and
fell off and like lost her finger.
Finger got cut off and then he wasn't going to take her to hospital or anything and drove off and left her.
Eventually just left her somewhere on the street further up down the road, like the motorbike was trashed.
There was oil was pouring everywhere and some passerby picked up and took the hospital. That for me, you know it's the
it's the incident karma that that that really that that I just love, like I love when people get instant karma.
And yeah it's it's it's those moments where I mean to be fair like you know, I don't wish hurt upon anybody but you know in in that instance, well you know in countries like Saudi Arabia and things if you do still you do get your hands cut off.
So I guess it's kind of like that instant, that instant karma, hence the reason why they leave jewellery shops and everything open at night. Because people just wouldn't do
it, Yeah. But anyway, getting onto to
tonight, gentlemen. How are so we'll ask you how you
are. You've asked me how I was.
It's, it's, it's Edward. Did you find out if it was a?
It was OK. Yes, I can inform everyone that
are you OK? Day is September the 14th, so
not that long to wait. No.
It did say in the. 17th Close, Close, Close, Close.
It's our national day of action, dedicated to reminding everyone that any day is OK to ask Are you OK so you don't have to?
Say 365 days a year? Yeah, it is.
Yeah. Say like Valentine's Day, right?
Like like ohhhhh, you know it's it's all the day you show love.
Like should you show love to everybody everyday?
Like is there's no one. Isn't that kind of thing?
Ideally. Ideally, ideally.
But anyway, that's. Well, we we had, we had our work
international whatever day and there's like there's like a day for everything. So now I think it was
technically International Whatever day.
Yeah, well, it's at this point now, like there's something.
That's right. Like every day is a a bloody
something day now. It's like international rip your
band aid off day or, you know, whatever.
Well, it's funny because like, like I work, people take people like this stuff seriously. Like, you know, I'm I'm not, I'm
not picking on the other people that you know.
Participate, Participate. But.
Now let's pick on up. It's it's just losers with
nothing else to do. Latch on to these fictitious
days and, you know, clog up our calendars with them, basically.
So so basically. Internally.
To Sausage Day International, go to the Beach Day and just live your life, people. Well here's the thing, like they
do it at at in the morning briefings and so a few of the guys, a few of the few of the other guys like we're seeing this. So they just have to find the
most random days was like international shrimp eating day.
Well, yeah, over overseas and and they're like.
Just wanna let you guys know it's it's a it's a it's international shipping day for our American friends always we call them here prawn day and everyone is looking at him like he's. I'm pissing myself laughing in
the corner. It's like what happened because
I cause this guy just say it Yeah it's it's international.
What is it today, gentleman? Today is the 22nd of of, of.
International Scamp Day. Let's make.
It International National Talk Like A Pirate Day.
International. Alright.
Thank you. Very good for the barons out
there. It's part of the good one.
I'm just reading now. It says National Tooth Fairy Day
is today, August 22nd OHS National B and Angel Day.
August 22nd National Folk National Folklore Day.
International Day of Running the Victims of of Acts of Violence Based on Regional Relief. National.
National Belt Day. I love her bell.
Everybody love. Everybody likes bells.
Elle Lester All day. What do you mean?
What do you do with that? Wells And then and then it's
also also National Pamela Day, so my house might Pamela, happy International Day for you, so. So there you go, all the day.
There is a International National Pamela Day.
There's also there's so many. There's like National Rainbow
Baby Day, which is Beautiful Baby Infants National Never Been Better Day. Mission will take you bet your
cat to the vet day. I'm trying to find anything for
car people but there's just there's just nothing at the moment, is there? Take your cat to the vet day.
It's international. Take your cat to the vet day.
Correct. Yeah.
Don't you take it there when it's like, sick?
Should, shouldn't you? I mean, he's had a missing leg
for six months, but we have to wait for the day.
Place. And it's also it's all it's all
do alipas birthday today happy birthday Tulipa so so and has 20 it's Russian National Flag Day World plant milk Day.
So there are people put days for all sorts of things at a time so, so, so you've heard of your first ladies and gentlemen.
It's International Day for Something.
But anyway. Moving on to updates, gentlemen,
Carp dates with you. We'll start with Mr Edward
Bunting. Big updates with you.
Well, don't say that big. I did drive the Scamp Delicious
to highball cars and coffee on Sunday morning.
Which was good. I managed to, you know, you sort
of, I drove in a slightly different entrance this time.
I thought, where am I going to park?
And because I wasn't in the main drag where I got the Terrago last time, you know, and the audio, was it the Champs, Elisee, of the highball, you know, So I went round into the sort of sidecar park, but there was a food van and then a little spot right on the corner. And so I put the scamp there,
thinking that's very prominent. It wasn't in a back car park.
It wasn't wedged between two other cars where it gets not noticed. I thought, no, I'm going to
really promote the Scamp. Not that scamp specific, but
promote Honda and Scamp Scamp life.
Exactly. Cause people go, what is it?
Oh my God. And I just, I put it on that
corner and everyone of course is lining up for coffee at the food van and eating their hot dogs. And it was right there.
And I thought, yeah, this is good, you know, just get around the scamp life and you waving the flag.
Yeah, really. David wasn't there, so I felt
obliged to wave the Scamp flag. Well that was good I then
because the scam when I think fast highway travel I think Scamp and so I had to go out to Craigieburn to visit Alan Dips Hinge who may join us later to view his family Falcon EGAS 2007 BF 2 for sale. I mean, like I I wouldn't be
selling, it would. Nearly I had.
I had the Honda City at home and I also had the I30 that I'm helping my friend sell. I thought the I30 would be the
logical choice. The scam is the more fun choice
and it actually fined up Sunday afternoon.
It was quite a nice sunny arvo so I zinged my way out there and viewed the Falcon and purchased the Falcon Zing my way home and then I went back out again with my brother.
I got a lift back out. Later I picked up my said Falcon
and. Yeah it's it's very smooth you
know it's as I said to me the other night on the phone it's the third dedicated gas Falcon that I've owned which is quite something that's that's that's a lot and if all the all the Falcon. Drops have been straight.
Gas. I've never, I've never owned a
non straight gas Falcon. That that will sell before your
I30 probably will. Yeah, probably will, yeah.
So anyway I I've got a couple of trips planned.
I've gotta go down to Gippsland this weekend to to put the Prado into storage. I'll put that in a in a in a
back block shed until next year when I want it.
So I thought, well we'll take the E gas down, you know economics and I'm planning a trip up north in a couple of weekends time, not this one, the next one.
And I thought, well, it's good for that.
And then I think it'll be for sale probably.
I'm getting the tint taken over tomorrow.
It's got, you know, very bubbly tint.
So that's happening tomorrow morning and yeah, I'll just chip it away, chip away at a little bit and and then find a new home for it. But yeah, it's a it's nice,
smooth, everything works. Cold air con, you know.
Like. For for not a lot of money.
I do. You know, out of all the Falcon
gases that I've owned, I've come away going, Yeah, I get it.
I get why people drive these cases that one done. 180 baby,
yeah. Compared to the last two years,
baby, yeah. What was that 330 or 40 and then
more 48 was the other one. Yeah, 448 was the high Miller
and 3:30 was the low mile. Edward like the cars barely
running at that point, You. Gotta know, 180.
Nothing. Yeah, it's fine.
I mean, mind you, it's, you know it, it needs the dip bushes down and it's got a week from the rear.
Main seals, they all do. And you know, like pulling down.
Not badly, only a little bit in a couple of spots, yeah, not not enough to do anything about it. But yeah, I did check that
because that's very common on common on those anyway, so and it came with, you know, 3/4 of a tank of gas.
So I'm just using the gas, you know?
Geez, doesn't matter. My daily for some matter, so I
think that is the car update if I've done anything else.
No, nothing else. Very good.
Scotty. Nothing too exciting.
I went around and started up the R31 and it started up straight away. It actually been a while since I
started up so I was a little bit unsure.
I do disconnect the battery. I've got all that hooked up,
but. I'm just unsure if it was gonna
kick over, but it did start it up nicely done stall and just sat there and idled. So I let it run for about a good
1015 minutes before I turned a little off.
Umm just check the coolant in the Subaru and.
Hasn't moved so I don't need to top it up, so another good sign with the Scooby. And that is it.
I just kind of took it for a. A little spin on Sunday where I
went down to play golf again with my brother this time.
Just that would end and just I like to take the the back way because that's just the side of somebody that I'm at.
And yeah, it's just it's a lot of fun on the back rows to.
Take a drive and beautiful views cause it was a bit sunny this time for once cause the other times it's just been all kind of miserable and cloudy and I can't really see Mount Macedon as clear. This time was nice.
Good drive, straight in. And yeah.
Running fine, no dramas touch wood.
We also joined by Rob. How are you, Rob?
OK, Thanks. Can you see me?
Right. You.
You. Don't know what's going on.
So we can see your Roberts. OK, but it'll come it'll.
Come. Cool.
Mr. David Prince we're doing car updates with you characters with
me Civic Waggon got picked up the other day.
I just pull the easy trigger on that and actually had a mate who has a flatbed truck come and pick it up and deliver it up into the day. Longs for a little bit of a bit
of respite care up there involving a head gasket and yeah, luckily I think I've reported last time I found all the bits for it, so they were all in the gearbox, which is a which is our storage facility for spare parts for the club.
So that that was positive. We had a nice weekend away.
We didn't get to highball because we were driving around the South Gippsland doing a bit of a bit of a weekend away with, got a bit of some on the way home, which was nice, which counted nicely with the horizontal rain that we were getting on that for most of the rest of the time.
It does rain a lot down there. No wonder the the the rolling
hills are very green. Very green for a good reason,
yeah. Yeah.
It's a rain belt. It is raining now, but that was
great. We had a good weekend.
The other thing actually, Monday afternoon I collected a brand new Honda Z RV for a week. So I have a new car sitting in
the driveway. Not my car, they early.
I haven't driven it very far on a drive back from Tullamarine, but I'll get into that later in the week.
I'm going to write a little bit of a blurb about it for the car club newsletter. Somehow I wrangled a gig under
the press drive list, so I'm very happy with that.
So should be bring on the next cars that that might be on the press drug list when they the shining red ones with the manual gearboxes. Yeah, but the present RV's got a
lot of endearing points about it.
Sadly we've got a base model in white and the seven inch inch wheels. I can't believe having having a
couple of scabs in the family that we talk about 17 inch wheels not being big enough, but it basically looks like it's on casters. Maybe they'll be Bob Jane
specially, aren't they? They are very Bob Jones,
specially not against Mr Bob. Jane of course, no, but yeah a
bit especially and white is certainly not the colour that I would choose. I may have mentioned on the
broadcast once or twice before about my aversion to white cars.
Having had my first car being an ex district nursing Carroll, it was update only came in white, so it didn't have any choice.
So yeah, I decided many years ago that I wouldn't choose a white car if I could avoid it. So yeah, there's a white one.
Sometimes look really good in white, Yes, some do, but there's usually another colour. They look better into me to my
eyes, yeah, and there's a lot of better one, better colours of she can get rather than white for these.
But anyway, watch this space. I'll report back more.
Complete report next week. Updates.
I can, At least it's got. Five seats, unlike the HIV and
spare tyre, so you know we're already in.
Well, if you want some, if you want some mean green paint, I can mix it up for you and then you can mean green would be nice. I wouldn't like that like to
come in a very nice blue. Actually.
I was coming down the freeway today.
That rainstorm in Russian Roulette with the semis that don't seem to be affected by the rain was hammering down.
He could not see all the lines on the road and the just the spray was incredible and I didn't realise.
I mean we all know it's pretty common that there's a lot of cars are wide grey or black, but the AX6 went past me probably like your colour Tyrone, a really vibrant blue and it just seemed like a beacon. I thought, OK well that's that's
a good sign, you know, that's safe colour because it's so many grey coloured cars these days look like the colour of a wet Rd, don't they? So, um, it's.
I do like a bit of colour, one does like a hint of colour.
One does like a hint of colour. That's right.
That's sort of a boy, you know, we're all very scared.
I mean, not us so much, but Melburnians and you know, Australians were just scared of colour.
Any and I said it before in our on our cars in our houses.
You know how much how many walls in the houses of people in this on this call antique white USA. You know dual like.
Slow. Not mine.
Not one. Not one.
They're not. They're beige, you know.
So it's yeah, yeah. We're not sitting.
I'm sitting in a room with every wall is you.
Know why he's white? So yeah, we're all very scared
of it. Kitchens.
White caesarstone, white cupboards don't have a colour.
You'll offend someone. Now hopefully I'm offending
everyone in my bright green car, but anyway.
Oh yeah, I love that you ordered the green in.
That's great. So that's you, Mr. Robin Holly
updates with you before we get to this the live in the studio.
Picked up my new Ford Transit. Hmm.
It's arrived. Big news.
It was beautiful car to drive. It was OHS.
Still, it sort of is. But anyway, brought Drive It
home from Knox. I'll Fantastic.
They're real good. Customer service was second to
none over there. It was real good and so picked
up the car. Everything went smoothly there.
Drove home. Fantastic.
Not a problem whatsoever. Next day I went down a service
station, filled it right up and cost me about $175 to fill up.
But that's another story. Thank Yeah, it's a big tank
anyway, you get close to 1000 kilometres out of a tank.
It was anyway so. In the morning we headed off to
Yarrawonga, Mulwala, Steven and I, and Danger Light come on.
Oht Yeah, it's like a BMW kind of thing.
Yeah, so it's hardly downloaded the Ford app, so it's coming up all these alerts. Say your dearest dealer points
your nearest dealer. You know there's some sort of
electrical fault. You could still drive your car,
but you should go to your nearest seal to get it looked at. So actually got to Yarrawonga
and it's a deal. There's no mechanic and they go,
well, can't do anything about it.
Come back Monday. So that's not good.
Anyway, so we did our thing, drive around and every time I start the car, another alert will come up on the Ford app saying that, you know, go and see your dealer because all it it flags it. But it's the same thing.
It's. The same thing?
Yeah. It's the same fault.
It just couldn't be reset. Anyway, the car went well.
It was fantastic. But it developed a rattle on the
way home. I'll go.
Oh, no, thank you. Good.
So just for some reason just started developing and started rattling in the driver side door and just it was just annoying all the way home. I mean, that's a commercial
vehicle I suppose. That's right.
Take commercial vehicle. So shouldn't, Yeah, but it's
still brand new, you know? I'm not excusing it.
Not excuse. Me.
So it's. 29990 driveway now would have pays, yeah.
That's right, yeah, it's a it's a 29990 car, yeah.
Anyway, but it handles well, drives well, adaptive cruise control, works well, heaps of go.
We've got 10 speed gearbox is using about 9.5 litres per 100.
But for Big Ben, very good. So I was pretty impressed with
it anyway, so got home. I thought you were not going to
drive in the weekend anyway, sort of Saturday night when I got home. And pack the car to the side, I
said I'll wait until Monday to, um, call the dealers called Western Fort and they go, yeah, bring it in.
Yeah, We'll have a look at it straight away.
So we went down there. They wasted my time to go last.
So we can't look at it. You'll have to book it in and
you'll have to wait until in September before we even have a look at it more September, Yeah. Yeah.
Like, oh, thank you very much, but no thanks so.
Anyway, I went home, got online on shows, all the deals I rang up. Essendon, Essendon goes, Oh
yeah, we're all busy. It's least bit September before
we can see. Because you were being.
Believable, but let me have a look.
Give me a registration number so any deal or anywhere in the country can look up your registration and I'll tell you all the. Foods that codes that come up on
on the car because of the app. Because of the app.
Yeah, right. That is a diesel particulate
issue, HVAC issue. There's a there's a wiring
harness issue that Dib looked up on Internet while we're going up to Yarrawonga and is a recall overseas that there's faulty pin connectors in the wiring loop. So it's so it's affecting a
whole lot of wiring or electrical things within the car. This sounds like a Mercedes
biodegradable wiring line from the early 90s.
Sounds like that problem. Well, who knows?
Maybe the rats. Is being on a ship for sale on
Yeah. Yeah, no, no, it's a, it's a.
Apparently it's a non fault from the harness supplier.
OK. Well, I don't know if it's
exactly that, but there there is a notification out there for that exact issue. So anyway, so I'll ring up Knox
forward I go, You know, no, actually, Knox Ford rang me.
After being replaced dealers and they go pass you new car experience how you there you go, no good knocks no good.
Polling and I gotta, I gotta, I think his name is Brandon Brandon and he goes, so how's it been going?
I said, well look, the car is great, but.
It's got an engine light that's come on, it's developed the rattle into the door and I'll go, but yeah, dealers come out, look at it till end of September.
Yeah, the deal is can't look at it until in September, he goes, look that that's not right, you guys, that bullshit, you guys bring it in. As soon as you can.
I said, Look, I'm busy until Friday.
Is Friday OK? No problems at all.
We'll give you a loan car if he needs to.
We'll look after you. That's good.
Even though I have to drive all the way to the other side of town, at least there's one respect.
Respectable Ford dealer out of all the Ford dealers that I've been to, because none of them. Good to.
Know I've had, I've had issues with with Ford dealerships but it's good to know, it's good to know that you've that you've been looked after there. Hopefully, hopefully, hopefully
it's just at that pin issue. If it is and then you'll be
right. So that's the transit thing so
hard. And I we end up going to our
Mustang Car Club, Meet Pony 6G Club.
To land Lancefield. Romsey, Yeah, Lancefield
Landfill, yeah. And is a brewery at Lancefield.
So about 40 odd cars all rolled up Lancefield.
We had a nice cruise out there. Sunday morning is beautiful day
and they had a surprise for us and they had the the same Mustang and Mackey that went to hardball cars and coffee on Sunday morning. In Mansfield this the so called
boys took out that let us sit in the market and go through the McKee sitting in New Mustang, open and close doors and do all sorts of things. I was real good.
Hmm, yeah. And you and.
Your and your thoughts, Mr Rob. I want to sell my Mustang to buy
new Mustang. That's for sure.
But if you're on a, you know, in the market to buy one, yeah, you know it's not a bad car. But it doesn't.
The dash just doesn't do anything for me, even though it's all CD and it's a big long dash lock and Mercedes, it just sits there plonked on top of the dash.
It's. It's not finished and I think
Mercedes has spent many years sort of evolving their front, their dashes and they've got to a certain point that they're half decent. So I think 4 got a fair way to
go to. Sort of have it sort of a bit
more aesthetically pleasing, but apart from that it's typical Ford assembly, I think, you know, mismatched panels here and there and. Right.
But yeah, and McKee, I quite like the interior very.
I thought it was a very nice place to sit as beautiful car.
And there's going to come in three variants, so the base model, and then there's a long range and performance model.
So I think it starts at like 80, mid 80s to mid 90s over 100,000 for the performance model. Yes, that right.
OK, about 600 kilometre range on the long range, the long range of performance have got the old battery technology where you can't charge 100% whereas the standard range one you can charge 100% occasionally. So yeah, looks pretty good and
both cars are remarked to be crushed in Feb next year.
I think it is because they're they're very productive.
Wow, how about you missed it cause you came on a bit late, but I I bought a Ford as well and there's no warning lights on the dash. You're kidding, Are you not our
Steven BF2E gas? OHV Egas, You're a good manga
there. Gas motors?
Yeah, yeah, but everyone tells me anyway.
No, no warning lights and you know, pretty smooth, No rattles.
So if you want, I'll sell it soon.
Probably so. Sold the Jimmy so might need
another console Jimmy. Really.
Did you get your your money for it?
Yeah, I did. Good.
Good. Awesome.
Seriously. And who?
Who bought it? What kind of buyer bought?
It from Brighton and she's coming across inheritance but she's at broom at the moment so she's travelling back from Broome and she, she's left a deposit broom and when she comes back she'll sort it all out and she's in her 70s and she's in her 70s as well really, she's that old.
Driving when she was a broom down the beach and she loved it so much she wants to get one when she comes back.
There you go. I'm always interested in the
demographic, but that's not what I would have expected, no?
It's even extremely old or very young.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, like me. The G waggons in then Rob.
Well, I've been trying to call my mate.
He's not answering. I'm sitting on this G waggon
deal. I don't know if.
This, I don't think it's gonna happen.
Either I'm disappointed or already and it hasn't and I knew what was going to happen, so, but anyway.
Story telling me So did you need to buy it?
Yeah, do that. Hickory dickory.
What do you what somebody's final will?
Otherwise, there's an egos Falcon for you.
Yeah, name on it. Falcon.
I might buy it just for the motor.
That's it. The mode is great.
Stony done 180. It's like case.
Low case Good Price Price Price Rates Rates 100%.
We're going to Vietnam next year.
If you wanna come, I'm on board. Yeah or yeah, no, no, I've got
it later next year. I've got earmark to do the
motorbike trip Vietnam. I have you and I've got, well, I
haven't booked anything. I've got a few friends who are
circulating, you know. Interested.
OK, now they're looking at going in March again when the weather is dry and not too hot. Hmm much.
That might be a bit early for me.
Yeah. Anyway, so our stories, so let's
just go through it. Tyrone Falconer.
Matthew Falconer, Ed Falconer, Rob.
Yeah, Scott and David. Yeah.
No. You know what you gotta do,
boys? You know what you gotta do?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I whenever I wanted.
The groups got a scant. We're getting there slowly.
But hang on, hang on. Matt Scamp.
Ed Scant. David Scant.
Rob had a scamp in his garage. Click on the scab.
Scotty got no interest whatsoever.
He's been preoccupied with his little bubbles in his coolant.
It is all good, by the way. Clarify that.
Thank you for the listeners there on the edge of their seat wondering what's happening with your watching.
I offered a live update. I just watched the Yaris Cross
before you and my mum's car, which I'm not.
I don't really don't drive it very often, but 25,000 K on that I got in it, it's average on the thing, you know, average fuel consumption of 3.7 litres per hundred, which is better than
the factory claims at like 3.8. So not by much, but I'm like the
real world. It's getting what they say on
the boxes. Try to get that, do you?
No, no. But it doesn't happen.
So either Toyota or just being super honest or I don't know, just it's very economical. Wow, lots of drive training it,
but is it a that's a 1.5 litre 3 cylinder?
Is it 1.5? Yeah, it is, isn't it?
It's a faster state. Yeah exactly.
I can't even remember the motor size.
It is 1.5. Isn't it .53 cylinder, 3
cylinder, Yeah, but it's it's hybrid.
So, you know, around town in traffic it's just electric, electric and then it kicks in and out as it needs to.
But that's pretty impressive economy.
Yeah. For, for.
I mean, I suppose it's only a little motor and not a heavy car, but yeah, I thought it was good that it's getting what they what they said it would get. Two things.
One, it's a Fiesta receiver. The 1.53 cylinder isn't quite as
hard as your Fiesta, isn't it? And two, Rob, so you you you
just mentioned about the the the shoddy build quality of the American Ford. I remember when you said this to
me, when you had your, uh, when you still got your exercise turbo underneath it. You said the X6 was better
built, even though it was an older car, yeah.
Well, and you still, and you still stand by that with with the new Mustang about to come out, get out.
That's crazy. The actual suspension
components. It's built better.
It is built better. Anyway, moving on to Tyrone.
Not much from last week, that's all.
Have like literally nothing. Nothing.
Haven't done anything. Yeah, nothing.
Just drove it for the first time today since last.
Week. No, there you go.
That's what happens if you work at home too much.
This is true. Updates with me.
Got my car back on Friday from getting the same clock master cylinder rebuilt. So right now rebuild that for
me. I bought him the kit through
work. As I mentioned, I couldn't
couldn't get a new one in Australia so I gotta rebuild kit and I was like Oh yeah, I'll put it together and yeah, Billy Bob put back together in the car. All good, it was laser.
Laser correct. Yeah, Yeah.
Yeah. Black laser.
Black Yeah Yes. Black Blazer Sr. 2 Manual manual
5 speed manual Correct. Yes.
So so so that that's all. That's all good driving that my
sister let me borrow the Forester for the weekend to take to the snow, so I drove it to Hotham.
And your first, Yeah, yeah. Sorry, not anymore.
Guitar on not. Anymore.
I drove it and I was like, I was like, there's a noise in the front end. I'm like, ohhhhh, what has she
done? Um.
I then proceeded to look at all the wheels and they are gutter rushed beyond belief. Oht Jesus, you must be cringing.
It's not exactly like feels too those charcoal.
Work correct where there were She's like oh I need to buy those need to buy those wheel protectors for the edge of it.
Just died hit things. It's.
Not. So yeah.
And shout out to you Heath but the yeah, there's like a noise like a little rattle on the front left and and it makes sense as in the front left because the front left wheel has been gutter rushed to hell like it looks like she's just Kirby and Bang Bang Bang Bang so sounds like something loose anyway. But the car felt taught and
everything like I drove. I drove it up Hotham and back
and it was totally fine. But it just feels like, like
when you hit like an undulation, it's like it's like something something loose in the front end.
Sorry. I'm like haven't you noticed
this? She's like she's like ohhhhh
yeah but I didn't think it was bad.
I'm. I'm like I'm like what have you
what have you done to my car? So said, this isn't where you
you can't sell cars to people that you sort of you'll see it because it it pains you because they want to look after as well as you, you know. So I've done it time and time
again, and every time I'm like, oh, that covers a maculate and it's not it's. Just guarantees with my psyche,
I'd rather never see it again than see it degrade in front of my eyes. So I.
I mean, I I, I remember all the reasons why I love that car.
It's it's a great freeway car. It's a great snow car.
It, you know, all these other people were just like, you know, going really slow and here's me and the force just going, Oh yeah, that was it was all good. Obviously wasn't driving like an
idiot but you know it it felt confidence inspiring it plenty of power. I'm I'm like oh I miss having a
you know a really talky you know 2.5 just just you know pulls in
every gear and. You know £15.00 of boost and it
was it was yeah it was really you know really reiterated the point that it was a great car and I I really really enjoyed that car but you know it's obviously moved on but the the car itself is still is still finalising it drove fine just sound like something looser so that's I said to her you need to get that fixed so that's going to wrap bags at some point this week or next week because he's currently got half his hoist in his new shop, half his voice in his old shop always moving him across so so that's happening with that and and I was like to
Mama. She's like how was your forestry
gonna like my it was great. Like it was it was really good.
I'll put you know I put I think almost 900 kids on the weekend just you know driving in there and back and and you know all around the place and took the Beechworth and and and all that stuff. So so yeah it was good.
It was good to take take that for a spin again and and you know really really enjoy that and and when I when I got up there it was all these Subaru Foresters.
I'm like yeah this is pretty much the way where Subaru Forester belongs at the snow. It was just it was super forests
and ranges and lane cruises. That's virtually all you saw.
When you when you when you got to, when, when, when you got there, What psych, Matt. It's like you break up the
lovely girl, You know she dumps you, right?
And you. But you didn't wanna break up,
so she dumps you and then you see her down the street with her new hot boyfriend or whatever, You know, it's like that you'd you'd rather never see her again.
Yeah, Correct. Correct.
Yeah, I wanted to see what the new boyfriend.
No, no, I mean, I fell back in love with it and I'm like, well, I love this car, but I'm not going to give back.
It's like it's, it's like like as you said, you know, you sing it with the with the really hot guy up the street and then like, I can't compete with that. But then seeing her feet damaged
because she's got her out of her feet, so sailed.
Paediatrics. So she told him suspension.
Can I just mention too? Read Harkon.
Love, Love Raid. Love Raid.
Big Plug. My brother.
Just very quickly. He's wife Pajero, one of the
five that we have milling around.
It's it. Look at lives on a Dirt Rd.
It has. Has a hard life.
It's not it doesn't have a hard life in it.
It doesn't tow a lot or it's not towing horse floats daily along the canning stock route or anything.
But it, you know it gets used as a family car and it had developed the the back left tyre was wearing quite badly on the outside and my brother doesn't drive it much because he's got his own. So you know he he sort of jumped
in at last holidays and oh this is way out of whack.
The steering wheels off centre and you can feel it sort of crabbing. It wasn't it wasn't right and
it's had springs in it and it's had shocks in it not that long ago so that's been done. It's done 220,000 K So not not
crazy OK, but but OK enough to be doing shocks and springs I suppose. Anyway, he took it to Peters,
you know, in these local town and and they sort of said, oh he's, you know fire 4 grand worth of worth of work to the front end and the back end and bushes and arms and so and I said hang on but shocks and springs.
Going down Like what? What?
What's the other four? Grey?
What's what? What else?
There is pricing to be fair. Yeah, exactly.
And and and apparently that's sort of not uncommon.
There's just sort of throw everything at it and give you a big bill. So I said, Nah, I don't like the
sound of that. I said if you can get it to
Melbourne, we'll take it to read and just get it, get it, get an A-Z on a sort of assessment of it.
So we did that. I gave him the Prado, of course
you know, my the, the, the, the O2 Prado. 4 wheel drive My spin
The wheel drive at the moment loves the parade.
I didn't want to give that back you know like in love with that anyway so read her look and he said look the D Bush is on the front of a warm which is causing a bit of a clunk when you go over a driveway. So he said they're easy I'll
I'll do them done. And he said it's it's way out of
alignment. So he's he's put the back left
was like 14 degrees out or something.
So he's he's aligned it all back to how it should be you know and and very reasonable price and he said look the suspension yes the bushes and the stuff the rest of it has got where it's not brand new but it's not stuffed. You know it's cars will go
longer than that on suspension arms and things.
So anyway it's all aligned. It's backing back on track.
It's living dead straight beautiful and and he said, look just keep an eye on it maybe in 10,000 get another alignment just see if it's gone back out again.
But it kind of really shouldn't. I said well what's what would
cause that? You know, he goes, it could just
be a really bad alignment last time because my brother has had it done. He said people don't get their
machines calibrated and like you know it's all very well having a whiz bang machine but it depends who's operating it.
And he said it could just be a really bad alignment.
But the other thing is you could have could have rammed into a few curve gone through a massive pothole and put it out or who knows. But anyway, so I'll be very
interested. See what that does over the next
10,000 K See if it stops the tyre wear and it stays true.
But was your brother said he's like a much better oht gotcha you know and and and you know better than four grand Bill like Reed was nowhere near that. He was very very nominal fee to
sort of put that right. So yeah, my brother was sort of
almost going on. Do I just paint, get all done?
And I was like, Nah, doesn't sit right with me, so good to know.
Anyway, big plug for read like that.
Suspension. If you need done, go see.
Yeah, he's the he's the man in the know.
I don't say that lightly. I hate all mechanics.
So I think that's that's everybody's commentates gentlemen, moving on to tonight's discussion points.
So basically guys, if you could take one card, it's currently on sale at the moment, so any car that's currently on sale at the moment and make it better. What would it what would the car
be and what would you make it better by doing so for example you could be a Kia Picanto and putting in a you know like the like well having the the the GT but like a bit more souped up like have a GTR you know the version of that and and making it like that bit better. What would you do if you?
Guys cry, wouldn't it? Yeah.
Applicators. Juliana just like takes him in
the corners because it's like so small and because, you know, that would be that would be hilarious.
What would be a current Colin Sell that.
You would, you would. You could buy and say, I wanna
do this to it and enjoy it. What?
What would? What would what would it be
Mazda 6 waggon. Like a like a Mazda 6 waggon,
Because it's one of the few waggons you can still buy.
Correct. Master do do diesel motors, but
I don't believe they do one in that waggon.
And even the diesel motors they do are no good.
They do DPS no good, which is strange because I've been doing diesels for years, so they should be good at them.
I would make a good diesel in a Mazda 6 waggon and maybe sort of Subaru Outback at a little bit stop, you know, just just raise it a little bit and give it all wheel drive.
That'd be that'd be a cracking car.
That'll be. That'll be a seller around a
good turbo diesel jacked up 6 waggon on some decent alloys.
Hmm. Yeah.
It's the cooling Outback they called the six pack.
You know, like they like 6 pack. Hey honey, 6 packs.
She's like, you look the same to me.
No, it's in the garage. Sorry.
Yeah. Witness the fitness, Rob.
Witness the fitness. I shall.
I think that's a great idea. I think they should do a jacked
up 6 waggon cause you know it's it's an Outbacks are essentially jacked up liberty and and they've been selling they sell they sell really well so so yeah I think that I think that that would probably make the six. What's the look at it?
It's it's a stylish car. Good looking.
Car belt looking. Car belt?
Yes, felt. I still think it's the best
looking waggon on sale and you know, there's so many left, but you know, it was that in the shooting break, which I thought was OK looking car. But you know how we feel about W
on this show. So I'd go for the Mazda 6, but
yeah, Mazda 6 with a diesel. Or that Street 6 Turbo that they
bring that they just brought out, which would be kind of cool and all drive. I think that would be.
That would be very, very tasty, Scotty.
Mine For some reason, the first thing that went to my head was the Kona End. Well, I could cut her in.
I've really liked him. There's something about him.
I'd go for Kona and Plus. OK.
And just beef up that bit more power, some bigger brakes on it.
I wouldn't even really change the styling, it already looks great. I already like the look of them
is. That the new one with the light
bar front and rear All the all. The one that's just been
superseded. Just the the original actually
do like both anyway really. But.
I don't think the new one, actually.
I don't think the end is out just yet.
Actually now I think about it. I think, yeah.
It's quite a good value. Hot little SUV, isn't it Really.
Yeah, I think they're fantastic little thing, yeah.
Just contradiction in terms, but.
Just wanna even more racier version and so like an N plus.
Go for an in performance. So So what would be?
What would be in this N plus in performance?
What? What?
What would be in that? Probably we'll go with like some
adaptive suspension, so something that the the Commodore had before it went out because I knew that suspension was fantastic that uses that magnetic.
Magnet, right? Yeah.
Magnaride, Phenomenal. It's really good.
So I want something like that, so then you can still stiffen it up but you still nice and comfortable because our roads around here suck so still want something like that.
Beefier breaks. Can't go on with bigger breaks.
What else? Definitely get that motor a bit
more powerful. So up the power there.
Um, not quite sure about the interior, what seats are already in there. Probably needs a bit more
comfortable I think. Well, I wanna, I wanna add to
that because the kind of ring you can only get it as a dual clutch. If you get that as a manual as
well, that would be epic. Well, you're right.
Correct, yes. And manual gearbox for that
would be phenomenal. I think all the all the
technology inside will stay the same.
I I wouldn't even change that. Great the way it is with that,
but yeah, just some little extra badging to go with the two and.
Maybe some special colours? So I wanna have a look at one
recently cause I I was at a Hyundai with my brother when he was looking at some cars and even even Steph like the kind she's like she's like it's a really nice little car and fun facts on road of America I think it was they like last year they they did like the you know sports cars in America they they they did this thing and they had the Elantra and which is how I30IN sedan versus that and the Conan was quicker around room is massive track which is which is saying something about a performance SUV like it's insane so and they sound ridiculous as
well like you. From cracking pop and they they
they shouldn't be legal but yeah I I would I think that's that that's that's that's a good thing.
So what I think we should do is I think we should we should fight we should explain what these cars are and give it a name. So you're calling it the the
Kona N plus Scotty? And plus.
And the difference is with the counter and plus are bigger breaks, more power, magnet, magnetic suspension.
Uh. Annual gearbox.
Manual gearbox. Yep.
MMM. And I have one more.
So my other car is, you know, you got the GR Corolla.
Hmm. We need one in the middle.
GR Crawlers obviously at the top, GI Garris.
Nothing there for the Corolla range and then just your base Corolla want something in the middle range in the Corolla range because that Corolla like, I think we all agree looks fantastic. Even in a base trim, it's a good
looking guy. Yeah.
And I think we need that mid level because I mean if you can get your hands on a GI Corolla then hats off to you.
Well, there is a ZR. Corolla Hard to get them, so
something that's still got that nice three cylinder if possible.
Just maybe not as powerful. It doesn't have, you know, those
bigger breaks, just some things that are a little bit downgraded but still keeps those looks kind of like a kind of like what what they did with the Evo 10 and they brought out the rally art one there was just that less. Powerful.
Just start something a bit more mid level is easier for them to hand out to to build to bringing out because obviously the GR's top top. So something bit more
attainable. Themselves, Yeah, something you
know you've got, like I see GR is pretty much like Nismo.
Yeah, you know that's the top top.
So well, what's Corolla got for themselves, for their top level cars? You know if you think about
Skylines, you've got the non turbo one, you got the GT and then obviously form the GDR on the top.
But yeah, crawl, if they had just that mid level one, that's just fun and zippy and. Manual.
Even if it was, even if it was still front wheel drive, but with that. Engine, yeah, yeah, Front will
drives. Fine.
Yeah, doesn't have to go. All will drive.
If it keeps costs down, keep it front.
We'll drive. That's still fun.
What about a Jimmy with a 2 1/2 plate of turbo diesel?
That was going to be mine. Did you wind rewind?
We didn't hear that rewind. OK, before we get it, before we
get to that, So what are you calling this Corolla?
So because it got Corolla Zilla which is like their their top range before they go to GR, would you call it like the Corolla? This.
GS turbo or something, I don't know, like.
Yeah, I wouldn't go too fancy with the name cause people probably deep budget. Anyway, what about true and make
it look like a GI Corolla? Yeah.
Yeah, yeah. Go back.
Go back in history, Michael. It's Trueno.
Oh yeah, that's a good idea. That'll hook a lot of people.
Or 11 one of those 11 Trueno. So, so we've got the Mazda 6 Six
Pack. We've got the.
It was called the Kona N Plus and the Corolla Trueno.
Rob, you said you had a, you had one.
Well I was thinking of the Jimmy Diesel Turbo as well, but I thought maybe you would get too heavy.
So even if they just had a chimney all grip turbo and then what you need to do is upgrade interior with door pockets that actually can hold water bottles until.
Maybe not. Crazy talk.
Crazy talk. Maybe it might be an armrest.
Or something would be fantastic looking, you know, It's just basic comforts, you know they're supposed to be an all round car but you can't go anywhere with them because there's nothing to put, no space to put anything in them.
You think they'd be innovative in in utilising all the space or little space that they've got, but they don't.
So just all these little extra bits and pieces in the Suzuki Jimmy, I think I maybe a 1.6 litre turbo or something like
that would be OK. Well, you've got the 1.6 turbo
in the in the Swift, right? So like that, they could pretty
much put that in the gym. Booster Jet one.
Yeah. Yeah, drop it in.
So it's not a huge stretch that they could do it.
This breaks in the back. Would be nice maybe, but I don't
need this in the back. What you got now?
Drop down to the final show. The fine for a lightweight car,
but you want some tall. It's actually not bad.
Drums are better, the range head have good feel the range head drums at the back. It's a it's a city card.
It's not off road and and Ranger put drums because they're cheap, four to cheap. That's why they're in their
Raptors and their wild tracks. Do you only see them the the
cheaper models, don't you? All range, Range, Range, range,
range. So, so, Rob, what are we calling
this car? So, so, so.
For Jimmy Aldrick Turbo, I think just just simple.
All Group Turbo. I like it.
So all Grip Turbo comes with 1.6 Turbo.
Out of the Swift Sport, you're getting door pockets for your drink bottle, you're getting a centre console.
And I and I think, I think you should they should automatically come with the the the you know like the roof not the box but the the the roof tray with a light bar on there.
I think that that would be that would be Mint.
And Atlanta and the ladder. Down and the ladder, Yes.
And the ladder, yeah. Make make it more top heavy.
Yeah. It's like a a brick when you
yeah. When you're driving at the end
of freeway, it's. It gets rocked around and you
get a gust of wind and will go all over the road.
It's it's just crazy. Jimmy O Grip turbo with some
obvious sway bar so it doesn't it doesn't go all off the road.
What about that where you can actually detach the sway bars and things like that? Yeah, yeah, that's a cool idea.
That's a cool idea. Holly, what about?
You say 363 with the V8. Well, they're bringing it back.
And they're not. That's they said they're not.
They change their mind. Going to the next model.
OK, OK. Another seven years.
Seven years. 70s. But.
That's enough time for me to buy one, Yeah.
C63. Ohhhhh OK and what difference
would there? Be the eight hybrid.
No, the hybrid they can give us too.
Heavy Rival Drive again. Or both Options for rear and all
drives. Hmm.
What else would you know what else?
I think like you do like especially in you do like a lightweight, especially when you like, you do carbon fibre wheels, you do carbon fibre roof.
OK, OK. Scaffolding in the back.
Autism and whatnot. So you can have like a GT3 type
Mercedes but in a C Class rather than a GT which you're paying top dollar for. Yeah.
I mean I mean it's proven BMW do it with the M caught their own cars that they do like the you know the the M3 what was what was the one that had the with all the scaffolding in the back and the orange in the in the oh geez E92 they had that that those GPS I think they had a yeah yeah, yeah, yeah.
Yeah. So, So, yeah and and and they
sold out like really quickly. So I think, I think Mercedes
could definitely do something like that would be.
Cool. That'd be good.
David Prince. You know where I'm going,
probably. Honda.
The well the NIV is actually built on the on the Civic platform and and the the new Civic Platform has got a lot of very good reviews whether it be a base model or a.
Or a Topper? So yeah, but the the model
that's missing from the range, they offer three Civics now.
So there's a Civic. 46 grand or something.
There's a Civic hybrid with the integrated motor assist now and then there's the Type R So what we need is we need a base model.
Well the the the the Straight Civic 1.5 Turbo 6 Speed Manual
with a panoramic roof from the hybrid.
Alcantara Alcantara interior rather than.
Thank you, Linda. And an Rs badge on the booth.
Ohe bring the Rs back. Yeah, yeah, yeah, so.
Don't know if you know or not, Some people he might know but Rs. Several Hondas over the last few
years have carried an Irish spage and they've copped a bit of flake in the press for being an Rs because that's like Audis Rs and and Focus Rs and you know it's a performance car and all that. That's that.
They've got no right to put it on account.
It's got the same engine as the other model.
What what the people and I actually wrote, I'm not used to writing to, not one for writing to newspapers, but I did have a go at them when they one of them came the Civic Rs and saying it's not an Rs. That's ridiculous.
Why do they even call it that? Sorry.
Well, well. In 1974 when the first Civic
came out, the they did release one in Japan called Rs and it stood for Rd Sailing. So it actually doesn't stand for
Raleigh Sport or Race sport or Rd Sport or anything.
It stands for Rd sailing And yeah, so that moral actually had twin carbs in a 5 speed gearbox. So it was a bit more Rd sailing
than your average reliability. But players, I pointed out that
it wasn't actually rally sport, it was Rd sailing.
So I'd like to see. Also for the educating some
people, but so that's what I do. I have a manual Civic.
Please Mr Honda, can we have a manual Civic with panoramic roof, Alcantara interior and a 6 speed manual gearbox.
The shame of it is that car is available overseas, but it's just not available here. So.
Correct. Correct me, for one day we can
only get the civics in a manual in a type R like we can't get him in a manual in in, in the, in the, in the standard or the hybrid, right? 100% correct, Yes.
Yeah. So I mean, a lot of
manufacturers are doing that. I mean, we are such a small
market in Australia and there's so many different brands.
So they've got to make, you know, some economies of scale somewhere. Although BMW didn't get that
email, there's about 1700 different BMW models available in Australia. Every time you go in, there's a
different one. Um.
But the yes. They can't, they can't bring
every in everything, but I just think there would be a market for. And then all the people here
that have said, well, and Emanuel Gearbox would be great, you know, I mean, people who like to drive like a manual gearbox. Yes.
And I think everyone on this podcast likes a manual gearbox.
Precisely. Precisely, we can all use the
clutch except for Harley. You can only drive auto.
It needs to be boosted. It has to be.
Is that true, Holly? Can you only drive auto?
I I can I can drive manual. I just choose not to drive
manual. OK, that's alright man.
I thought I said that and then I went Shit, riding Harley might be in order. No, I just cracked the shits
because people aren't patient. When you drive a manual around
and say you know in sometimes I'm not patient and you're not patient. Yeah.
So, yeah. And if you tend to stall it, you
know, you know, some people tend to panic a little bit.
It's supposed to restore manuals, you know.
Sometimes they just, you know, you've never met how often you drive them. Sometimes it's just that point
yet the wrong spot. Bit of a hill, let it out too
quick and bang, you know you go, oh shit, yeah.
So embarrassed the the other day coming out of Beechworth and and I was like oh God that's something embarrassing stuff like pissing himself laughing at me and.
Why are you laughing? Yeah.
Motorbikes tool. You know, they they get right in
front of you. Yeah.
And like they and they they don't get right in front of and stay on the side. They get really funny and stay
in front of you and then they stall and then you're like you're about to go and you can't go.
A few times on the bike, BMW clutches a real touchy on the motorbikes, so you got to be real careful that you got the power on, because if you try to let the clutch out without really putting the power on, you'll stall it.
All right. OK.
I think that's what stopped me from driving other people's cars. They're like, oh, I have a spin
and it's and it's a manual and I don't wanna stall it or embarrass myself. It's OK.
I haven't driven, I haven't driven a manual for probably six years now. Really.
OHS Yeah, I just haven't had. A manual car in my collection
and you know I haven't been able to have the money, haven't really never have the money to go out and buy one.
You will be soon. Yes, yes, I've pretty much got
everything for the skyline. So yeah, I think that's what
kind of stops me a little bit, cause it's been so long since I've driven one too. So I'm like, oh, is it like
riding a bike? Yeah, sure.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure. You, you're good, you'll get
used to. It yeah.
But you know, it's just been that long.
I'm like, ohhhhh, you know, like when we're at one of the shows and David with his with his car and Maddie, the one that you took for a spin, that's why I kind of said, Oh no.
And I'll be like, I'll probably stole it or something.
I'm like, no. It's kind of what limits me.
Sometimes I'm just like ohf between that's all anxious.
Next time I take the BMW out there, 30, you gotta drive that, drive that, Scotty, because you'll love it.
Oh really? Yeah, it just drives so well,
yeah. I think when I can find where it
catches, that's where I'm kind of happy.
It's just finding that point and for some reason I like them a bit lower. Yeah, giving.
It's one of the first gear anyways, yeah, the second.
After that, it's just yeah. Yeah, yeah.
After that, it's peace. Little good lucky luck while
Scott lucky cars are not like trucks where you gotta double, double clutch. Yeah, the best is when I went
for my for my truck licence, obviously went non synchro, you know, and and yeah that will go and there's sometimes where I I just got into single clutch and then the guy would look at me and he's like, I was like what I'm like Oh yeah, I forgot to double clutch. Who it is?
That's soft to truck drivers out there.
Yeah, absolutely. But like, yeah, even.
Even. Yeah, even with the with the
truck as well, you once you get used to it, a lot of them don't even use clutches As long as you come in, yeah, as long as you get it on the right, the right, right apms or yeah, it just slots in. Yeah, you can slot it in, yeah.
I think it's just understanding the vehicle, yeah.
And it doesn't. Take a challenge that's they're
all different that's the that's the challenge though is to it's I think manual cars feel alive compared to automatic cars.
I get, I get bored in all those really quick and then I find out that I make mistakes and automatics when I drive autos cause I'm cause I'm not concentrating as much and I'm just like like Oh yeah you know with the radio bit more cause I have to kiss you know I'm like oh crap almost ripped the somebody so. Now that's when you gotta set up
games. With cars in front, so you set
up games where you know, try and limit the braking that you do try not to break as much. So I I play, I'd usually do that
game and try not to break. So if I'm in heavy traffic in an
auto, I do my best to make sure I don't hit the break or or my mission is I have to keep moving.
I'm not allowed to stop. Dead did I did the.
Whole thing on the way. Rolling.
Yeah, I did the whole thing the way home, traffic lights and I'm coming in and I'm moving that slowly and everyone's like behind me going, what is he doing?
And it's great. I go, yeah, I didn't have to.
No. Actually, I heard other radio
today. Someone commented that if young
people had to drive manual cars, it'd be less.
Looking at phones while you're driving makes perfect sense you you need your left hand for. Like like we used to get a
meccas in the old days. We had no cup holders.
We drove yours, but we still ate, drank and changed years.
We didn't have phones. We didn't have phones, though.
But we did everything else. If you get you get yeah rob's
right you you get you you you're learning new trick you trick.
Cause I remember when when even even even the the the truck was automatic. I used to grab McDonald's, jump
in the truck keep driving and eating a burger and chips on there. But I'm holding this sharing me
with my legs. See I I called back as.
Civilian type colour. Yeah.
Yeah they're they're you know. Yeah the breakfast the breakfast
of champions. So like I I've got a I've got a
system where I am. I mean I'm not as good as you
Rob. I can't I put the put the cup in
the cup holder but I put the hash brown in the in the in the muffin and I'm meeting the muffin, the Mcmuffin.
While you know you know with the hash brown in in one here able to change gears and you know and and put the burger between my legs so I can grab the drink. You know I've got a system
basically got a system going for that.
We don't condone his behaviour. That's gonna make you go by the
way. But anyway, moving on to Tyrone
car that you would make that you have to buy one parts available new. It has to be available in, yeah.
I was going, I was going to actually do the office.
I was going to actually bring back the the Orient TRD, yeah.
Rename that something or either the can we be 16?
Or either the the F6 but like obviously with the with the a newer, newer, newer, newer engine, newer spec.
You know, if they had a Luca spec exhaust straight out of factory that would be great, but I don't think that will pass anything. Any any safety for the.
Emissions or something? Yeah, well you know what's funny
though, buddy? Like that car, it's the horribly
illegal, but it's still possible missions because the 85 burns cleaning up. So so it's still, it's still
technically passes emissions which is ridiculous.
But anyway, that's that's quite funny.
Yeah, I think maybe, I don't know, I think probably looked like obviously I was going to say the Ranger, but obviously with the the look of the F-150, but they've already done that.
They've, you know, the sort of similarly bought, brought out that boulder look at the front, yeah.
Unlike what they've done with the Land Cruisers, you know, they've gone more like. Sort of Range Rover, you look
with a bit squarer and they've obviously removed the the Toyota badge from the front and they've got the wood Toyota ridden in the front, so. I like that.
I think that looks good. I don't know.
It's it's yeah, it's a bit here and there, but it's too.
I think it's too squared up. They've they've just squirted up
a little too much. Alright.
Sorry Tara. And would you like a Ranger with
a panoramic glass roof? Actually would.
Back window stuff that they get to the Americans but not.
Exactly, Yeah. Yeah.
That. That actually, yeah.
That's a good point, Rob. Yeah, like some kind of.
Because, I mean, the the Rangers roof is nothing.
There's no, there's nothing. It's just blank.
It's just blank out there. So I wouldn't, yeah, actually
wouldn't mind that. You know, something something
similar to that probably even maybe in in the Raptor body like. Do you know would look good.
Good. I can't believe that the Raptor
top range Raptor does not have the electric.
The elect. No, no, the electric yeah, but
doesn't have the the wall track dash.
It's got like gauges and it's still got the old gauges.
Doesn't have electronic dashes on the side.
No, it's got like the actual gauge.
It's like the wild trucks got the fuel gauge the temp gauge and all. That's all electronic, you know.
Yeah, it's all digital. But yeah, the Raptor, it doesn't
just got old school, old school cake edges on there, so.
Maybe, yeah. A beefed up good Ranger?
What would you call it? Ranger Beef.
Yeah, I don't know because he got wall track these names, so.
I don't know what I would call it.
A park. Ranger the park park, you could
call it Yogi Bear and then. Our brain.
Power. Ohhhhh, that's good.
Yeah, that's like the Iron Man, Kona.
Like. Transformer Camaro, yeah, yeah,
very good, very good. For me, I've got two.
One is obviously the little Picanto which I which I adore, but I would get the I20N engine, the 1.6 turbo and slap that in
there and make that, make that a proper little hot hatch.
And because it's the right size, you know, I put bigger, bigger wheels and tyres on it. Lower the suspension a little
bit more have you know have the the the seats out of a out of an I30 and they're all the same companies are total interchangeable and then basically make sure it's got that really six 6 speed gearbox and put bigger brakes on there and I would and and I put a I put a a rally stripe right right over the top just put on the one side though like I have a really strip of it and that that would and I would call out the Picanto the GT Oh there you go sorry Scotty on them I've heard you with you but I I would you know they really called the GT but then take it to the next space for for and the last one.
Campbell and the wheel? No you will see and the last one
I would do would would be I would choose to bring back the Mazda 3 and six MPs. I would I would bring them back
because they were very loved Maza 6 and an oral drive but you already taken 1 so I'll do the maze.
So they they offer them as the three turbo with the 2.5 turbo
in America but they don't bring it here And a friend of mine wanted to buy one and he he walked into the into the Mazda office and he's like he's like why won't you guys sell it here like it's it's overseas like Oh yeah we just don't have a market for it here like the MPs programme wasn't wasn't big here this Danielle he's like it's such a shame because you know MPs is a really you know respected though they were quick cars for their for their time but still are quick so magazines to bring a hot hatchback because I've got really nothing permanency not all that big besides although they don't they don't have anything performance at the moment so.
So I think they need to bring the performance back and they'd be called the Mazda 3 MPs so that would be the one.
So I think gentlemen what we've done is we've we've done Keers job Mazda's job. Suzuki's job Ford's job, Honda's
job for them essentially. Scotty who's was yours?
Yours was the. I had the Um Corolla Toyota's
job. Yeah, so, so we've we've done
your market research. We've, we've we've we've put it
all together. These are all genuine parts.
You can put in and and make work.
There you go. You're welcome.
We I got one more that could be impossible, OK?
Right. But you know, it would be really
good and I'm sure many people get on board.
Hear me out. A BMW, right?
And it's reliable. Well, the Automator in it.
Yeah. There you go.
Well, tonnes of them. And they won't keep coming back.
They'll they'll love it. You know what it is?
It's the car companies still run by bean counters now.
And it's just, yeah, it's never going to be.
They're making them, Making them to last only like 3 or 4 years and then that's it, you know? OK, alright guys, it's time for
the quiz. You gentlemen ready for 10
questions plus some bonus questions?
Let's get it happening. Question one, the new Kia youth
set to take on the likes of the Ford Ranger, Hilux and Triton is set to be called the what, David.
The set of Fate Incorrect. It's by Kia now.
You know how you never got one. It's called the Santa Cruz, but
they're yeah, they've got the SUV with the Santa Cruz is their version, but they're not. They're here.
Which is, which is which is a bit of a shame because it sells Arcane America from what I've heard, But the key version, it's a very Aussie name. I'll leave it at that.
Yeah. Decay, Straya Scott.
Scott. The Kia Butte you correct.
I wouldn't give that to. But thank you, flip flops, Flip
flops. Yeah, well I couldn't go to the
Kia Thong, Could that key? The key, Yeah mate.
Here mate, is incorrect. Tyrone.
So Robin, Edd have still got a chance.
And Harley as well. So by the way, Harley.
They're listening to us because we've given them a huge, you know, pull tool from which to select.
Yeah, but it's like incorrect but but I mean, I mean Tony, I would probably buy it, but Edward Bunting last.
Chance No. No.
I think I've, I've seen it on online, you know, somewhere scrolling, but I can't remember it.
You guys are all out. It's called the Kia Tasman.
They steal that from the the Austin.
Yeah, I think they have as well. The Austin Well, The thing is
you guys didn't get the you probably get the bonus question.
But the bonus question is what is Kia said in all press releases about the car? What?
What is there? What is their one statement that
they're saying that this is legit and it's a it's a form of that. What have they said?
I don't know. That it drives like a cash No.
Incorrect. It'll outperform all the other
units incorrect. Not having a you.
No idea, no idea. They said we are not mucking
around. That is that is that is the
quote that everybody that everybody that they've been saying to everybody. We are not mucking around ladies
and gentlemen, this is happening.
So I'm like, OK, right? Yeah, alright, alright.
Question two. Listen, ZED was a dot or Z Nismo
has how many transmission options did good in there.
One is corrected with well done. Yeah, bonus question.
What transmission is it? It did.
It's manual incorrect. It's unfortunately.
It's not. Yeah, it's it's, it's it's going
to be order but so they've done. Everything with my book it, I
said. Boo.
Gave it away Question three which full truck of the following does not feature a Raptor version?
The Ranger, the Bronco, the F-150 or the Explorer?
Rob got in there first. Outside the Explorer, Explorer
is correct. Roldan nice Question 4.
The Civic type FL five has been crowned the fastest front will drive car around the Nurburgring.
What's was its time closest to? I don't know what's good around
the Nurburgring. I think 8 minutes is good, maybe
8 minutes is Edward. No, I don't know.
I mean, I'm just talking out loud, but alright, put 8 minutes. That means it's quite a long
track I think. It's a long track it.
Is pretty fast, yeah. 7.5777 minutes and.
Yeah, 50 seconds, yeah. Gonna go 9.
So Torrance is 7 minutes 5750. Rob says 9.
I'll say 747, 747 Sir Scotty 747 and Mr Prince.
I'll go 88. 8 minutes 38 minutes Thirty.
The time was 44, so 744 minutes No. 7 minutes and 44 seconds
.881 so Scotty stuck in there just.
Wow. That is quick.
It is quick. It wasn't a standard FL 5, but
believe it or not, so they've said it's a different, different version of it. What is it called for the bonus
question, David? I think it's the GT, isn't it
incorrect? It's not theirs.
We know that not R. It's not a Nurburgring edition
or something, is it? Not?
Not an airbag, unfortunately. Basically.
Well, no, no, no. Good.
No idea. They've taken it out of Subaru's
book and called it the US edition, which is Japan Exclusive Course Question 5. You should not exist not typist
for the type of Rs edition is what it's called.
OK question 5 Toyota Camry's most expensive car on sale in Australia. So like the most expensive
version of a Camry starts at 50,000 Watt Tyrant, so it's in it's in the 50 thousands. So if you can give me a number,
Yeah, it was exactly the same as exactly the same as Tyrone.
OK, sorry, sorry. OK Oh. 54 Two Fifty 54250 so the
price is $55,387.00 on the road is what it starts at the top of
the range, top spec. So closest to would be Scotty 55
right now. Look at you, Scotty.
My guessing game is on point. There's no actual knowledge
going into this, it's just guessing.
Question 6. The most MPs range was known as
the what range in America? Scott.
Scott. That was a Mazda Speed, wasn't
it? Mazda Speed.
Correct. Well done.
Score check. Scotty 3.
Edward, one Rob, one David and Tyrone get the score.
Question 7. Mazda recalled what two models
last week point for each. I didn't hear about.
It did, Ed. Was it the CX-30 incorrect?
David, David. Some of them the BT50 incorrect.
I nearly thought that. Then I thought, now it's been
out for so long, they should have got it right.
Based on a range. So Tyrone and Scott and Rob, I
think, are left. Mazda.
What? Spell Friday.
If it will make a 65, today 65 it's it's not correct.
Mr Mr Zardari leaves Scotty and Tyrone.
I'm gonna say, is one of them the CX9?
69 is incorrect Tyrone Jesus 868 incorrect so.
That's what I meant to three or something.
So you've you've all had a guess.
You've all guessed wrong. So the the two models are the
Mazda 3 and the Mazda CX3. They've been they've.
Been called? That makes sense.
Question 8, This one's for Rob. How many cars does Suzuki sell
here in Australia? Like the actual models, how many
models of car do that Suzuki sell here in Australia?
Ed. Edd 8 incorrect.
David, David. OK, five incorrect, Tyrone.
Seven incorrect. Scott, Scott.
Three incorrect. I think that's everybody.
Yeah. Was that rope?
Awesome. 666 is correct, but they do sell 6.
So so I mean the reason why I went all to Tyrone because they sell the swift and the Swift Sport, but I classified them as one. That's one.
Case it's the same, it's 1, so it's so.
It's Swift. Is the model question 9.
So how many countries built the E 68?
Ed. Tyrone 22 is incorrect, Tyrone.
How many cities? How many countries got the E 65
series? I freaked out when I heard this.
I actually laughed. I was like, that's ridiculous.
Eight. That is the luckiest guess I've
ever heard. Eight countries built.
Right, right. What countries border I know?
China and I know Germany. What else built it?
I'll tell you, I've got it. I kept it right up here.
So Germany, China, Mexico, India, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia and Egypt all built the E60 series.
Crushers. Well, OK, not.
For our market, they're all German.
Thank God, yeah. Well, yeah, so, so.
Yeah, it would be there cause heaps of them there, yeah.
Or India, Chennai, BMW India. Built it and talent as well,
cause there's, yeah, Thailand, Yep, they they built the E60 very, very. Ever.
Never, never would have imagined that, by the way, Suzuki sold the Swift Swift Sport Bellino Ignes Vitara S cross, which nobody remembers, and the chimney. 1234.
As well, but it's got two models there.
Yeah, they showing two different cars, Kansas one, Kansas one.
Alright, next question. So school check was getting
pretty tired. To be fair, Tyrone won Edward
one Rob, two, Scotty three day. Ever get to score?
David, what's going on? I'm here all.
Week 8, Week Question 10 The supercharged Mitsubishi 380, which we were discussing earlier in the week made a How many kilowatts of power Tyrone Tyrone got in there first?
Yeah. How many?
How many people was? Lucky, Allens thought.
He put a time limit on you. Megan. 23230 is unbelievably
correct, alright. Well.
He he's got a computer or something?
Some screening. Had all my photo here, my phones
over here. Score.
Check. Score.
Check. That's two lucky guesses in a
row. Time right now.
David was yet to score. David, you better come with you.
I don't know what happened, David.
I don't know what. Happened.
Look at sometimes it's just not our week, you know, Edward on one. So what's new?
Rob and Tyrone on 2 apiece and tonight's winner on three, Scotty. Well.
Yeah. I broke my drought.
Oh my God, I remember the last time 1 So I asked you this every single time and you don't know about to ask you.
Who would you like to thank? Oht me Yeah, they they go there
we go. Just myself.
I've got to thank myself. So thank you for me and my
knowledge and guessing abilities.
That's podcast gents. Let's do some plugs.
David Prince and Bunting you do a podcast.
Yes, we do, Matthew, thank you for asking.

What is it? You know, like Rd testing.
Road tester Yeah, Man in a van. Men, men in a van.
And if you want any deliveries, let me know anytime.
So he he's your guy. Scotties Golf, Tip of the week.
Clean your balls. Do that every day.
You. How rude.
You know, just make sure if you're if you're on the green to come up, give him a clean, because I can get rather dirty and it's going to roll a lot differently.
So give him a clean try and you know you don't need to buy the best perfect, cheap like most expensive golf balls.
Just get. So good ones for you out there
beginning cause you probably gonna lose a lot anyway, so why spend $80.00 hmm when you're just gonna lose them all?
Isn't it for tampering if you clean it?
No. Are you allowed to engulf OK?
They got, they got ball washers in every year, every hole.
You could put your ball in there and you wash it over water.
And then give it a good wash, take it out and dry it off.
You. Recommend white balls or
coloured balls. You know, actually starting to
draw towards the fluoro ones because.
They're yellow, yeah. They stand out, especially if
it's a real bright, sunny day. The white ones just.
Yeah, lose. Them.
Unless you're getting them on the fairway all the time.
Really, golfers playing on the fairways played on the side?
You can. You can hit the blue balls a lot
harder, can't you? Hello, Shark.
No, look how trophies with himself.
He's himself. He's.
He likes that one. That was good.
That was good. I like that.
