On this episode of Car Torque, Matty, Adrian, Alam, Ed and Scott discuss the latest with their rides, Scott fills us in on the new Import Laws, the boys debate over Turbo vs N/A and we do the car quiz.
"I'll leave it to you guys. Because, like, the reason why I'm bringing this up is because I was looking at the original Honda NSX and in its Timeless facing up against like the GTR Supra RX-7, twin turbo, you know, Oh really powerful cars. It didn't have as much power as any of those cars but you know, you know, it still was pretty damn Weaponry on the on a racetrack or a Toge. So, Doesn't matter necessarily"
"...e a, like, General Motors engine. So they use the Astra turbo engine, the two later, and, and then a to p..."

What would it cost? Talk, it's another Tuesday night
here in isolation with Scott sleepyhead, Adrian, Allen and Ed, what's happening, gentlemen? All right, hmm.
Howdy nothing much that's not solid.
Responses responses saying, is it the choose a show?
We have some topics to talk about.
Yes, Tom. It's tonight, the new cars are
allowed to be imported to Australia.
Yeah. Which is, which is a big
problem. Solved by GTRs from 2009, it'd
be great. We've got, we're going to
discuss. What would you prefer to drive
turbo in a? That's an easy one, turbo and
seen the show ladies and gentlemen, thank you very much for listening. And we'll also be doing a
conquest, was the end of the show, but we start off with some car updates, Scotty updates with you.
All I did today was give the 31 a detail, beautiful polish wax.
That's it. I had to come on.
Cleveland Scotty. Pardon, did you clay bar, the
paintwork first play Bharat playback?
Yeah. Now didn't on this one did
indeed it isn't that bad? So I didn't bother.
Yeah, yeah. I got the new one where it's
like, instead of the clay, actual clay itself.
It's like a mitt. Yeah.
It's like, and it's like rubber like a rubber kind of meat.
Next thing you know that as well, it's a mother's product.
It's like a red thing in you, there's a few different companies, making them. Now the claim it's them and
still wash them off properly or as you drop clay, it's gone.
Yeah. So Also, they're a bigger
surface area like the clay, you know, the lumps of clay.
I have a you know, this big like a size of your palm almost is smaller and you takes your quite a long time to do big up.
Whereas there meet you kind of go that LOL ads.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.
I thought this would be a lot quicker and probably last longer too. Yeah, good work claiming it.
So I'll pay you make life easier sleepyhead, Adrian, but you have to They pain. So any card base with you so
far, I put a bonnet protect on the Falcon, okay?
That was David. Yeah, I bought some rain guards.
For the windows. Yeah.
The little pillow like my car's got the little.
Yeah ever fired. Every kind every morning you go
jump in the car. You gotta crack the window.
Just open it up so you get some Air Group trick?
Yeah, it's nothing but water in the car.
I want you to turn the fan on in the car.
Because I like fresh air, it's still fresh.
It is comes with a couple of pipes, the air conditioners, father like shit at them. So, but yeah, the problems going
on. I understand it.
I drink. Is my mum years ago, had a
Magna, TR, Magna wagon, a V6. Make the wagon.
I know you make as a shithole. That anyway, we had that thing
for like eight, nine, ten years, maybe it had manual windows, In it was a beef D6 and it had a few nice options, but it had the stupid man, you windows, and mum has this habit of rolling, the windows sort of up to a point, but then sort of losing interest. But you so so much that you
can't see, you know, that it's not perfectly and I would watch that current least once a week. I was obsessive compulsive.
Repeat, it was a clean as fucking Mega Wagon in Melbourne, and it's so much so that like neighbors of ours around the corner. Like they even asked, I said,
how did your cutaways look new? It's ate like eight years ahead.
As it always looks so new as like as AIDS.
And with it, anyway, I'd put it out the front, I'd get the tap, I'd fill, my bucket with soapy water and hose down the Magna.
I'd forget to check that mums left to Mill.
At the top of the window, what it would run down inside the windows. I like, like just if you rolling
the window, I've go all the way up, don't stop.
Anyway, so the rain guards would have, they would have helped with that. Now, I know how do I know you?
I'm going to do, oh yeah, that's that.
Absolutely, that and loading the dishwasher wrong, just consider the photos. See that's the song.
I can definitely relate to it in the the Falcon because it's the XT Pace model and forward like like all the assholes they have they have the wind down Windows in the back.
Yeah, I've had several situations where I'm at passengers and their roll down the window and they just for whatever reason have decided not to all the window all the way up. Yeah.
Just just a lie that tiny Gap and I've taken to the carwash.
What has been inside the car? Why, what you wait till you hear
that? Think, you know wine wine wine.
Think I'm here, this wind it anymore.
So I don't understand how, you know, what is stopping short.
You know why they stopping short of?
It is a good one for you. When I worked at BMW Melbourne,
I sent some people out on a lake test, drive on a Saturday in a 1 series convertible and you know, I didn't go with him because it's a convertible is quite small and they'd had beams before, I think. And I was like, look, here you
go. Just take it for a spin.
So they brought her back at like, 4:45.
We're shutting it five. They said, I here's the key
cars. Packed up and out on the side of
the driveway, which is fine. And I was like, no worries,
whatever, Monday morning, the used car manager comes to me goes that convertibles parked all weekend on the driveway with all four windows down with rain all weekend.
So the interior was absolutely swamped with water.
I was like, but I'm like, who Parks a car yet?
They locked it. But all the windows and the car
and walks inside. Like that.
Look, don't you like you put your something's up I could understand what happened then. Did you get it?
Did you get the shit? I drove it down to detailing.
They gave it a really good Chamois down and we left it running with the heater in the aircon on to.
So dehumidify. It and nothing was, it means to
work, it wasn't like completely flooded or anything but every surface inside was like saturated with water.
So by lunchtime It was a back on the lot out the front and looking. Okay.
Lucky but I was just like, I mean I should have checked, it's my fault for not going out and physically checking it.
But I was like, also, you've just been a test drive.
If you come back in the car you think you shut the car up then walk inside? That's just me.
No but enough they're humans and humans are dumb.
Yeah very hey hey I think it's not I don't think it's used being dumb. I think it's humans just being
assholes because I'm short of their own car.
That most likely lock it up, what you're not understanding, okay. What you're not understanding is
they were doing the smart thing they were giving the car potential to be a parts car. Okay.
It's all about the potential they plan on coming back on Monday being like Oh it's a bit you know what a damage could.
Yeah you know maybe that was their plan that they looked at the bomb on their phone and I like a lot of rain this weekend.
Let's do top tip. Number top tip.
Number one, use it. Use a mitt for your clay barring
on the car quicker. Top tip number two, if you're
winding a window up, just wind the thing up like all the way.
Hello. That's why she went for a drive
today. It's quite an easy way to was it
necessary. I went to Office Works to get a
2 meter. Long used to be see to lie.
Then cable, I can't be filled and I was nice and I also then went to LT, got some blueberries.
And importantly, I decided to walk into the Butcher and luckily for me that she had goat, it's hard to get goat in you know Australia it's being an ethnic man myself.
God ain't nothing going to be the goat Curry and it's hard to get your hands on it. So I was quite pleased.
I got some nice boneless pieces for myself.
A nice phone in pieces for my dad and Thursday night.
We're going to make I mean goat Curry, think that's essential and being very very and you need those antioxidants.
That's why I love blueberry muffins.
Yeah. So that was my excuse for going
out for the day and I was quite pleased.
Yeah, but it's still a little things now.
Like, even I used to hate going to the shop.
I used to absolutely like, no, I can't be asking the job where we going to eat is up and a half. Now it's like, can I get a shot?
Can't get the shot. Yeah, yeah I went to super cheap
yesterday. Whoa.
Just you know essential item is a our car cover.
Yep. That was essential and then I
just bought heat of other stuff. Good, which one did you go to
summary? Was I was Quezon.
Clay wagon. Uh-huh.
What about your 1-minute Mark out that?
Oh, no, you're not because you leave out Sunbury waste goes too far. Yeah, all right.
Ed card this with you know real updates.
I did get the seat back from my Honda Civic.
I'll make drop that off day for you know, so that's had the bolsters read. Done.
And so that's ready to get bolted in, but I'll probably save that to the end of the week to do it.
You know, that's a weekend activity.
You don't want to go on a rush, everything, you know, during the week, I've got a very busy evening schedule, reading old come eggs and stuff and doing this perfect squares.
But that's back and it's about Comics.
He means old porno mags. If it's the color, it's foreign
to me Alan. But you know, I've got the
Modern Motor order Autumn 1982 here.
Is there any of those? Looks like they had on National
Geographic. He was making love to his car
like washing it kissing. It's like yeah I have seen Tacos
on that. It's really thick like I think I
think Matt J is more along those lines in me I'm not I like driving. I'm not all the things he's
probably done in the LTD because he's into the old ones.
What do you mean probably? Well, you are saying it was.
Certainty could be, you know, what's the weather is a slender alive? Which one is written.
I got a question for you. Yes please this 82 I won't hop
on a bed but this 82 Automotive road test you know, magazine which Cogeco has to take out of this lot, right?
You got, this is a pretty uninspiring, Bunch as the 32 382 sedan Mitsubishi Colt 82. Uh, Ford laser just released
Holden Gemini, that's and Pulsar Toyota Corolla.
What Gemini was it? Was it like the one of the lot
was it annoys? You just like the real Drive
ones? It was at the new that new
block, whatever. Take, no, no, it's the real
Drive ones. The last of that state.
Yeah, could you repeat the listed so 323, cult laser, Gemini, Pulsar Corolla. I know it's an extremely boring
list of cars. It's like saying, do you want
spiral pasta or flat pasta or spaghetti pasta?
It's As Pastor, I get it. But if you had to gun to your
head, which one would you pick? And why?
You released, 82, all 1982 was the Corolla rear-wheel drive?
Yes. Yeah.
No. It's the rear drive.
Corolla. Okay, Gemini still do skids in
it, okay, the jacket I think I go the 323 323 looks quite uninspiring from the 8286 editions.
It looks basically like a Corolla based on Corolla like Ford at the front and basically crawler the back and I think I do Gemini get that, you know, Bogan and me do some burnouts, get my car, impounded or Cody, what would you make a diary?
Yeah. Gemini, Manny.
Why are you going the laser? Because it's just that he
doesn't see the potential. What are you talking?
1948, Austin 10-10-10. That's a little sharp eye
needle, Austin. How much is that?
Is cheap as shit. That's right.
All right. Yeah, well term country.
Lots of money spent on it. Extremely straight and rust-free
comes along us. We're stored a few years ago.
Did pretty old-school. The Austin 10.
That that's a tiny little open-wheel.
You know not open well Does it have its got like old-school?
Be grounded mudguards? This thing that are Presley's?
Yeah, I've seen those guys online.
If I've planned for this thing. Run.
Yeah, or did it? Regiment stopped.
It's not a, it's not a great Road should be car.
It's cool. It's been old school for me.
You see if that is still better than Adrienne's BMW?
It's true, man. Hey, Maddy, don't start shit.
Okay. You just don't see the
potential, can you get a Porsche for 5 grand?
So, he doesn't really that last, yeah, no, no, no, okay?
Ellis, my had a fuck it. All right.
Anyway, moving on carb diets with me.
I've had a pretty productive last couple of days.
Actually, I am Bronski You saw, you say, nice agent, you and love you. I am what you do Maddie.
So I clean up with your buddy, I cleaned it all up, and then, I also fixed all the body trims around it because like, they were like, some of them went on property, so I took them all off, clean them, all up, got the double side, like the automotive double-sided tape. Put it back on neat, actually,
little. Now, Bunnings, Because I got the
Godlike, the heavy-duty stuff that I just sticks like shit.
So did you go to Bunnings know I had, I had some ages ago, I had some spare so I had some spare from the last one I put on because I only put one of them on and the other ones were were a bit crappy anyway. So I took them all off, fix them
up properly, gave the car, a good vac and clean, gave it a run. Drove around the block a few
times and parked it up and that's pretty good.
No, I didn't do skids but I might have something to store it, which would be nice. So hopefully, they can within
the next couple weeks. Then they'll clear up some
space. For me.
They said, in more than one, happy to hold that and the 124 for me when I'm not using it. So, that's pretty good.
Really. Where is this secret location?
My mom's place of work. I knew when you Workshop are
because they're not, are they not operating?
No, I'd like the they got space at the back on the color.
So Oh, they're like, she wants a new place now, and they've got like tons of space. So, so mums, like Well story is,
they asked me to design a logo for them for them because they're branching off into a new company as well.
Yeah. Like how much do you charge
them? Like what can you offer me
instead I can offer you one, macaws face, you're like no, make it to you like it too. So hopefully yeah, I'm actually
about to start working. At later tonight, stop playing
around with it and yeah, but the the overachiever here's the the ltd's and yours. Well, my brother doesn't seem to
want it anymore, so it definitely is not your problem.
That's now he's problem. But it doesn't mean it was my
car. So that's usually what it means.
Anyway what did you get looted Luca to sell that car getting my brother, do any things, very hard and so that reminds me of when I try to get you to this stuff.
Well, I just didn't think you'd have to deal with that along with all the other shit you've got, you know, that can was kind of dealt with a while back and now you're still dealing with it. And I hate dealing with things
that are not my problem anymore. I know it sounds like it's
becoming a pain in the ass. Well look, it's amazing.
You should buy it off him. So did that happen?
So they give it to someone giving it to you.
I see the potential in that car. Send the unit in the 134.
I looked at the tutorials. How to do it.
It's a pretty straightforward job.
So I am I pulled it out, try to open it up but the actual nut underneath was so corroded that it's just completely stuffed and like and I turned it upside down and like chunks of like just just corroded metal inside of it's just coming out of it.
So it's a bit too far gone. So got it apart, how to look at
it inside and it's pretty beat like I tried cleaning it up but it's just you know, it's too far gone.
Like then you can clean with the got a little bit of I'm going on but one was just way too far gone.
So sounds like shit. Now I've got this big gaping
hole in the boot of my car with weather without you go.
So what I did was I put it back together, pop the back in there and ordered another one so that should be coming tomorrow but while I was out there working on the on the 124 apart from my Forrester came which was my foot.
Well illumination get in the US. The US and it's as I say,
directly Plug and Play. So it just plugs into the
existing Loom and now, when you put the lights on because it's got Moodle, it's got like mood lighting when you put the lights on anyway. But now this just puts it in the
footballs as well. So and those little easy Factory
option because it's from Subaru in America made in Canada, believe or not. So put that in to be about half
an hour. 45 I didn't have any holes or anything you don't need
So, you just kind of just bolted in place and they and they stay.
So actually, it looks it looks kind of nice now.
So I'm really happy with that for like, a little cheap mod, that's pretty good. Also, a lot of the analytes.
All right, it's the same it's the same LED Blues as the other mood lighting in the car, okay? So it all matches in nicely so
it's not like getting caught by doing so I otherwise I'd look a bit weird. You use again it because it's a
it's a factory part. So like they kind of keep them
Same. So I put that in so it's always
good when the, when the Australia Post guy will the DHL guys, or whoever commits every in Korea it's like it's like Christmas to ask our guys when they when they when they drove car parts. It is now so you know, when they
come to your house you like we got something on the package and you like gosh here we go. Well he was but he was wearing
gloves and he asked me for my name and he and and like you just he put the pack. He's next to me and he walked
off like he didn't shake my hand.
He was weird. We don't you don't, you don't
have to kiss scientist, nothing anymore.
So I just explained explained to me, the fuel sender, what was wrong, but what does that do?
And what was wrong with it? So basically how they work in
the 124, Have got it's like a big tube.
And in that tube basically they it's got like it's got two wires and a rod and it's like a little piece of plastic that slides up and down. It's like the, like, the float.
Exactly, right. Yeah.
So we, so, wherever the fuel goes it, you know, Rises it up.
And it's, and those two middle wise, is where it, it's where it's, you know, it's got one for loaf, one of the wisest for Or low fuel and for the light. And the other one is for just
just to say to say where it is exactly on the actual on.
So, as your gauge not working correctly, is that why you?
It's been? It's been a middle for the last
like, four years. So, for a while, there was a
lovely Adventure where mapped lent his car to his uncle, I believe it was, and he told Me to fill it up.
Before you dropped the you dropped off at the airport and Matt you know I believe that and he was on the way to the station one day and then bam getting off.
The ringer heard there was some trouble wasn't even that.
Oh jeez. So, yeah, but I won't have that
issue anymore. So, I've got a brand-new genuine
part coming. How much was it was, $300, am a
DJ, you are over capitalizing on that car?
Yeah, I know. But at the end of the day, I
said to myself, I'm not going to run out of fuel over again, and it would have been something I've been wanting to do for ages. I've been wanting to fix this
thing called when you just get one out of it, out of a wrecker.
Like, when you can go to a wrecking ball, I called I called my A car. And he specifically time, he's
like don't get as drunk as one of these because they are all in the same shit corroded on the inside.
Yeah. And he's like, just just, it's
just easier to get three hours to have a new one is like a second here, 150 bucks. Anyway, I'm like a husky time.
You want at that point, what would my costs from Pinch apart?
Like, wouldn't it be I don't actually know.
Well, if you get under your shirt, I'd say free.
I think. I don't think they'd be that
much. Do we do, do we have any figures
on how much you spent on this freaking?
Like tea or something? It says, baby, let's just say
enough. So this card this point is with
like you know, it was free card but you spent more than the value of this car. You know, if you had purchased
it, I think at this point, right?
Hey, you stop stopping our, you don't see the potential, I'll just just just doing some maths, that's not.
You know, what else I have enjoyed for the most part, working on the car and learn exactly.
See I told You potential, you think?
I'm joking learning about it and fixing it up and doing little things to it. And adjusting things here and
there and tinkering away. It's been, it's been fun.
It's actually it's actually a really good experience, you know. Like I've never really liked
dubbed that phone to a car like that before.
So I mean, okay, look, I can I've got a list of how much it cost me and it's a little bit. I think of a new alternator
three grand, he was the thing as many people want to know what the three That's more like it starts with a full matter.
It's in the yes 3,800 or some shit.
Then I had the fuel sensor or whatever he had that done to cancer the power steering power steering.
What else? That's what I had to get a real
gas but a person that is fine. So this so we're looking at
foreground, right? It's three.
It's mid to high 30s and I'm going to tell you three, eight.
One, two, three, four, that's it.
Well, I'm not spending anything more to get now is just some ties because my thighs are pretty crappy at the moment.
So close to 800 bucks. Yeah, so that they get special.
169 and then I'll be good. and then he's going to get
Matt's like the winner of any kind of crashing competition.
Hmm. Anyway, moving on.
So that will be my like our updates for now.
But moving on to tonight's topic, one of them actually new cars that were allowed to import into Australia, Scotty do this gets you all excited that I can see the look in your face.
It's awesome. Bout time, so sick.
So what's happened with the laws in particular?
Like how they how they adjust them?
It took many many years for one person going backwards and forwards going to all meetings with everyone to try and get this through. All right?
And I hope as you can see, finally, we're allowed to import cars because I meet walk. There's so many we couldn't
import because we had them here in Australia.
Anyway, we just couldn't bring in different versions of them.
Okay, so for instance you got the Forester.
So yeah, we sell the forest to hear but you couldn't import a Forester. STI, we never got them here but
because we had the Forester, you couldn't get it.
And that also goes for the Evo wagon, because we sold the Evo 9 here, you couldn't get the Evo 9 wagon.
But now you can see that's really weird that you could still, we sold it yourself that evo 8, CR brand-new.
But then we could import either 8 as well.
Like, that makes no sense. Well, just go to either AMR is
that the only reason why, I'm not sure because you can get in it, you can get any kind of EVO 18, I think we should go to a break. Yeah, let's go to a break.
We'll be right back after this. Alright, so we're back here on
the Tuesday show, still on the studio with Adrienne, and Alum, and Scott. We were just before the break,
we were talking about importing the new importing laws in regards to What's Happening Here in Australia.
So Scott, you said one man did all this work for us.
Pretty much single-handedly so we're in Scott pardon who is this man he's name is Christian. He's with Iron Chef Imports, all
right. Yeah, so he's been doing it for
years so trying to get these laws through.
So what are the laws near like how is it different than before?
So, now you can bring in cars that we sold.
So as I was saying before we sold the Forester, yeah, which meant couldn't bring in any any kind of version of the forest that, you know, at all. So that.
Yeah, took out the high-performance ones because we never got them so you couldn't bring in those that also goes for the Honda's. So the Civic Type R though go to
Civic Type R zh', you couldn't get them in but now you can You can get in the altas now as well, which I'm not, but I'm sure we had them here. They're like, people sold out to
also a personal Imports, only personal Imports that's the only way you get it is personal import, okay?
And as I said on the topic of the GTRs because they were sold obviously in Japan and elsewhere prior to them being sold in Australia. So I believe is the 2009 year
model. You can basically Put those
models because at the time they weren't available in Australia, so there's no guys competing model and you can some cases pick up like a 2009 gtf, like, 60 Grand, and that's considerably cheaper than what you can get anything in Australia for an Australian. Essence wouldn't touch him
either, really? Yeah.
Okay. I just didn't want to service
ones that won't for Australian Market.
That's it. Is that why things like you know
the Lakes is is see you know for hundreds or whatever they were in the Toyotas Sawyer's they were allowed to come in under under sort of gray import laws because we never sold them here, obviously. So that.
Yeah that opened up that window. Yeah.
Okay I know a friend of mines very keen to bring in a Honda in one which is Really the modern version of the little Honda Scamp 360. You know?
It's like the the new retro version of that car.
Yeah, even though they were never sold here but for some reason you couldn't bring those in until this new law and I can't remember why that was and it's got to do with the years.
Now the years of change, have they done the 25 years properly meal? So they've got some something
else. Now with the years I can't
remember, 100%, I'll have to read it in but the documents huge years on a just skimmed over.
It really. But one thing they have said, is
I believe it was, I think it was impressed.
Each motor sport that said, it is cars that come in and that can now come in, still have to be complied and until somebody's done, some compliance work, you can bring the car in, but you also got to wait for that compliance with Go through and then your car can we complain to the same way?
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, it is an opportunity for
people that want like, I guess free compliance work done per their car. If they want to be the very
first like it's going to be like a popular or high volume car.
Certain groups aren't you willing to get behind that?
So yeah, even on I-15 ports. He said, since you know, the
first of a vehicle coming in the compliance is going to take longer, will take if you want probably to get that to get that sorted. Yeah.
And you have to Only that that has been or can be quite expensive because you can have to change seatbelt mounts and or intrusion bars. And like, all sorts of stuff,
sometimes has to be changed to make it meet regs here.
Yeah. Just depending what needs to be
done. Yeah, yeah, I uh, I saw like we
do something. I Accord Euro Type R.
Well, I called use it. I think it's called a year are
actually, you know, in the comments that Were like yep.
Available now however we're selling it at a discounted price because this will be the colonies to get complied.
If you're interested, we can we can definitely do that while my car that's kind of cool. Mmm, Yeah, some interesting
times ahead I mean but you wouldn't think it'd be too much difference from from Malachi standard code.
You're here to one of those Yeah, I sure it wouldn't.
You wouldn't think so in terms of compliance type issues and I don't know, Scott do you see this being a, you know this new regime when you laws or regs as you know a lot more of these cars will come in or just a handful tricking in trickling for enthusiasts. I think I've probably give it a
few more years and then you'll see a lot more of them coming through. But at the moment I think
there's still a lot of people don't.
Really know what you can and can't bring in and unsure going through the compliance and things like that.
So I think a lot of people still have been on sure.
There's music people has been popping up but yeah I think people people are waiting for the first few people and do something wrong and see like with where the consequences land and kind of wet, what goes on? Yeah, so the first Evo wagon pop
up. That's going for mid-20s.
Do you think that's a good price?
Is that reasonable? Yeah.
Yeah because I mean that's pretty much an Avon 9 but anyway, I can form and you have a look Evo 9 to go for.
Yeah. You're looking at what 40 40 or
more even nine because evo 8 syrup out or either amr's are about 30. 35. Yeah, so even Ines of always
been more, but there's not that many Evo nines around because we We solve them here, but we didn't sell very many, so it's hard to find even ones. If it's that much cheaper, then
I think people will embrace it and it'll become a bit like New Zealand, where, you know, anything can come in within reason. Yeah, yeah.
I mean New Zealand's awesome won't be as good as that, but it's about time we've caught up because we don't have a market to look after anymore know that. That was the whole reason there
were. Yeah, and it's actually
interesting reading, even this hiking back to my 82 Autumn edition of motor. They mention repeatedly in these
80s magazines about quotas and they said something about how the Mitsubishi Colt are we couldn't bring in more because it had already kept out its quota.
Like they actually, you know, Kept how many of certain things you could bring in as a company to protect?
No doubt the local manufacturing and and you think what would these cars like great cars? And I'm not suggesting the Colts
a great car, but but great cars from Europe, what would they have done in this market in the 80s?
Given, you know, if they weren't kept like, how many more would they have sold locally? It's I said, I never realized
like you and they say. Are you sold 500?
GE 505 in 1984, whatever it might be you kind of go.
Oh yeah. That's the market.
That that was the demand, but the demand might have been way more like nah, fuck that. That's all you can bring in you
know, too bad. So sad.
I guess when you think back, we've always had low numbers of cars come in. Yeah, special editions and
things like that. We get so very little or often
that's because it's a world, you know.
Okay, we're producing 2,000 worldwide and you divvy it up by the markets and Australia's of PC market, you know, relative to the rest. Of the world.
So it's like, all right. Europe might get a thousand of
those Australia might get 150 of those and, you know, just the it's just a bad thing about being a small slice of the pious. Yeah, that makes sense.
I guess we should be able to bring in a lot of special edition WRX has and STIs to now. Yeah look like somewhat 2009's
and stuff. Is interesting.
Well, I just want to really interesting again that it's like this whole other thing how this works.
Now, because again, like we sold our acceptance here and then they would, then they will start here as well.
So and then they were imported here and, like, all tears and stuff. Like an EVO is not like smoke.
When you put your Evo was that. Or in by someone already was
that or was that a was that straight off the boat?
I think it was just straight off the boat but it was already complied and everything. So I didn't have to wait.
Okay. I think I'm not that sure, cause
I've got a friend New South Wales.
So, okay. It was through a dealer and
everything. Yeah, not home to censure and
that one actually. Yeah, that's alright.
That's just cause I always got me thinking I'm like, you know, all these new laws and stuff but then you know like people brought in altas and stuff before.
But surely they couldn't have all been personal import Silas was like some sort of some sort of special model of altezza or or something. We like, I don't know.
Sure. There was some You know, don't
you things happening for sure but this is goodness posture, it's good. It is these companies I was just
going to say like like I'm shipping ports and is a few other. I forget the name of the other
ones, there's a handful of them out there that they do everything for you. You can basically put in an
order and say find me a blue one of these under this mileage and they'll go source of from Japan show you photos, send you all the details, you know. But they bring it in, they
comply it they get it registered here for you and basically it's a turnkey operation. Operation where you just say, I
want this and you pay them a fee to do that.
And now that's what I call you if we find Chef Imports when I use them. Yeah.
It was they just you just put through budget what color you want, you know? If you're picky whatever color,
yeah, they'll just start sending you through auction sheets with those cars on it. You just have a look at auction
sheet and go. Well, I like to look at that
one. They got a guy over there, that
checks out the car and gets right up close, its proper photos and everything and you know, And then you can stop beating and go from there. It's not a bad way to do it and
I feel I would feel a lot more comfortable now, doing that one of those companies than the Minefield before, you know, and being scared, you're gonna get stung with extra fees here, or extra Customs, or whatever it might be.
Yes. It's not as dodgy as it was now.
No, it was bad. A quick question on that Scott.
When you said bidding do just tell them what's the highest speed, you want to go to and they Also do it or do you partake in the bidding live? Like you're in contact with the
manager pan as it was happening. There's two ways you can if you
want. But usually you just you know
you've already put down on your form of what your limit is.
So they make sure when they're beating they stay under that.
So If you lose it, then yeah. They will just let you know or
if you've won it they'll let you know hmm so that's how they do it. Then they have certain like
Protections in place as well for buyers, right?
Where? If the deal goes sideways or
something, you are protected like you don't just lose.
Let's just say, 60 Grand if trying to get GTR over.
Yeah. I mean everything's done through
the proper Tokyo, car auctions and things that go through.
There the vehicles checked over by the by the guy they've got over there like completely checked over for everything.
There's like an auction sheet that comes with it to tells you the grade of the car and where they've got damages and that's done very thorough, very detailed as well, which is good.
Yeah. And then when that process is
done, straight onto a ship brought straight over, they choose the compliance place and then the compliance place will be in touch with you. You continue sending you emails
for just import Duty, taxes and customs, and all that kind of stuff that you just got to pay just forward the money through.
And then you'll get a call and say, hey, your cars ready and go and collect it, will they tell you like, okay, it'll it'll be this much of the car will be 60 G +.
And plus this sort of come to this grand total price of this, nothing more always there. Always hidden fees and stuff on
his site. He always puts up like a an
estimation because only because of because of our money, because it's so up and down. With money transferring into Yen
and stuff. So he can't give you an actual
100% figure, but the figure gives you is pretty damn accurate. Like, I'd imagined a lot of this
fees particularly import fees on our and would remain static based on values of the car. Yeah.
As Scott said, it's more on some days.
The end might be valued at, you know, orders are like 82 yen to a dollar. Some days, I might be like 72,
so factoring that in was pretty important.
Yeah. And then he Usually, when it
comes to compliance, he always factors in like four, brand new tires. So the compliance might seem a
little bit more than usual but he always factors in that anyway. So yeah, but compliance usually
is I'm not sure now, but it used to be about 3 Grand.
Like two-and-a-half to three grand, to get it all complied and signed off. And what does that entail?
That's the local engineer going over the car and stuff or yeah.
And they got to put a sticker on it.
So on gdrs they got to put in like a child seat anchor in the back. Okay child seat.
Some of the older GTRs have to put inside markers like indicators side indicators. Yep.
Yeah, I think that's about it. Okay.
There might be some other things but Yeah, it depends who you go to, like some compliance places. Like you got to have everything
on that car 100% stock. Yeah.
So everything all original, some of them don't mind too much.
But yeah, as I said depends so for me, I was lucky because with the gdr this is there is suspension was wrecked and I said I got new suspension. It's just not here yet and you
guys are yeah. Okay.
No worries. So I was lucky.
I would have had to get two brand new original shocks, and I've already got new suspension coming through anyway, so would have been wasting money. Well, that's cool.
So what cars were able to get now?
So we're able to get out. Does that mean it can open the
floodgates for pretty much anything?
Or we still limited? I mean, anything?
All day, anything that we used to sell, you can get all the different models in. Now, I'm sure there's probably
some limits, but I'm not sure what they are yet.
I'm just think, seeing, like, you can get It used to be the Lexus Lexus, GS 300, I think. Yep, that was the 2J.
No turbo. But now you can get the GS 300
to Jay version. All right.
Okay. You can get the actual the
twin-turbo 2J version. Now you can import that which
you weren't able to Google so it's weird.
Well it's really exciting. I think this will have a chance
to see a lot more cars that we haven't seen before.
I do adds a not Super King because he likes Australian delivered, but I'm I'm not too bad with it for stuff that we never got here, you know, like like Dave wanting to bring in an end one sort of thing. It's like you we never sold this
year anyway. So if you want to bring one in.
Well, you know, that's the only way you're going to get one sort of, you know, sort of all right with that, but I don't know.
I'd always rather choose if I had the chance Ozzy delivered version of something, but like you say Scott, there's there's models we just never got, you know, so yeah, you know, I don't and now that there's no local industry, not that, I really cared much ever for the local industry, but it sort of makes sense. You know, you can go, why not
whatever. I still keep the luxury
contacts. Oh yeah.
I was going to say they would that should discontinue really shouldn't or at least draw. Hmm, it's making too much money
off that so why would you want to fuck me?
No one's got any resale value. Anyway.
So just just pissed that off. I wish moving on to the next
topic. It is Turbo.
Verse in a now, I'd put supercharger cares.
Closed in the episode right now, right now, but I know, I think it's a really good, it's really good discussion because they are two different types of Motors. They drive differently.
I'll leave it to you guys. Because, like, the reason why
I'm bringing this up is because I was looking at the original Honda NSX and in its Timeless facing up against like the GTR Supra RX-7, twin turbo, you know, Oh really powerful cars.
It didn't have as much power as any of those cars but you know, you know, it still was pretty damn Weaponry on the on a racetrack or a Toge. So, Doesn't matter necessarily
that those turbocharged cars are better in the instance or are in a still quite good in. Even in this modern day and age
where everything is going to Turbo all over to you guys for that. I think it's, you know, my two
cents with would be, it's horses for courses.
It's in certain applications you would not, you would never not have a turbo like like look at where Diesel's of, you know, I'm a big diesel fan. Look at where they were and
where they are. Now in terms of a modern
common-rail turbodiesel, my God, they're amazing, you know, in terms of the economy, The Talk The Way That Power is delivered, you know, it's much more linear now with a turbo, you sort of wouldn't imagine now ever having a diesel, that's not Turbo.
Whoa and look at it like the Land Cruiser you know, my mates just bought a 70 series Land Cruiser, true P.
You know, it's a twin turbo, I think V8 Diesel.
I mean that's an insane engine free Power, that's all it is.
Yeah, exactly it's it. There's no downside to it in
that application, you know, reasonably low boost.
It turns a talkie diesel into a very drivable car.
So I think for diesel engines 100% on Of all the way I just, you just would not have it. Having, you know, the flip side
of that, a lot of modern smaller petrol engines.
You know, they're getting smaller and smaller, and adding a turbo to get that economy in that efficiency and they're delivering sort of power and torque outputs that are much bigger engine used to deliver. So if you can get that gain
without having the fuel usage, or the weight of a bigger engine, then it kind of makes sense.
And, you know, the technology back in the day, like back in the 70s and even into the 80s with people like so.
Job, you know, turbos were highly strung, high boost, PSI things that were constantly stuffing up and needing to be replaced, you know? Whereas now with kind of
perfected it, you know, turbos by and large now a pretty damn good. They don't, you know, you don't
hear of people. I mean, not some cars, like the
Holden Cruze is and things, but, you know, I'm not on most cars, you don't hear people replacing turbos every 10 minutes or having them being ridiculously expensive to replace.
Yeah. Well this is a good point
because a lot of like most even just standing cards are coming with turbos like Swift turbos and Civic turbos and all that stuff. But In terms of acting on the
book of Romans oriented cars. And say, for example, like a
real nice high-revving naturally aspirated engine over, something that's like a turbocharged car. For example, I couldn't picture
a WRX without a turbo like you just that car was born.
The water really. You know it's really come most
pretty much all those cards and they all did have turbochargers back. Then, you know, it's like a
naturally. As, for one of those doesn't
work. But for example, Honda with
their VTech systems and I do Allen's going to disagree with me because I know how much he dislikes Honda VTEC.
But you know it's still nice to still has to have that real nice Power Band all the way through and they drift, you mean, RPM, and it's miserable and it's a bit more raw.
Like your MX-5 Ed like your kids naturally, aspirated, you know, they don't have a lot of power, but you can still wring its neck and have a bit of fun. I'm so good.
I mean, something with them, even though we had so I mean, it is easy power. It's got more treatability
there, but doesn't necessarily make for a better car.
As Ed was saying, there's no downside to turbos anymore.
Yeah, there's no, there's no lag.
There's no putting extra pressure.
On the engines anymore. There's so much Rd put in two
turbos that, you know, they last so long.
Now you don't have to leave the car running with a turbo timer and look like a douchebag when you're walking away.
We kind of still started neat that rubbish anymore.
I mean even the new Type R is turbocharged now.
Yeah, even Honduras. Moved away from just high
revving engines. I'm just that I really can
v-tach because they realize it was far more noise and substance. Not that I've advised, we got a
REV so hard. So you put More strain on those
Motors anyway with without turbos.
So why not put a turbo on there? Where you don't have to read
them as hard and make it more power and torque and, and variable valve systems have their own shortcomings as well and failures? Yeah, the E46 M3 is an awesome
engine but boy is that thing? Highly strung.
Yeah, I mean it limits you how much you can Revit for you know, five ten minutes. Yeah, warm up before you go.
Just going to mention that. Like, you know, you had people
when I was at BMW, you know, I sold, e92 zany 93's with the naturally aspirated, you know, full liter V8.
Yeah. And people were hell-bent on
that car and then when it went to Turbo with the back to a turbo, As you know, with the next one, rather than 8 people like all, it's a 6226, it's not the apis, not that it's like, and I'd say to them, hang on. It was always a six, like, an M3
was a six. That's what it was.
And it was a straight-6 that that we only did one V8.
Now it was good but the new twin turbo V6 is better.
And quicker than that eight. I had this feeling love with the
idea of an eight or the noise that innate makes you know here.
But as you said that's it's we only did one, you know, the he the lineage and the history of an M car was traditionally in an M3 with a 6. Well, I guess we'll sell them
through like in the E30 is But like after that it was pretty much success on the Galore. Yeah.
The whole way 8:36. He 46 most M cars, early on the
sixes, not 8 like it. Like in terms of noise I will
agree that a nice crumbly V8 usually be It's anything.
And then even, you know, you get your like a V12 or V10 Rumble.
Those are those lovely sounds. But again, you needing these big
engines to get that anything lower than that of E6 sounds like dog shit and everything below kind of in a there's not much to go on. The sound is there's usually
nothing to write home about. Even if the VTEC is, you know,
flowing with the Cannons, like my mates, S2000 its unique.
If you want the good sound, you're going for those big engines and then you've got to deal with Basically, all the shortcomings of the big engines, except nowadays, they've got those who the cam shut offs and everything else.
But still like you're dealing with it.
An entirely larger item to get in some cases, very similar power to what you can get in in really small form factors.
I don't know, the most recent Koenigsegg.
It's like a three cylinder engine and they're making Wicked power out of that as part of their, is the Jessica or something else that they've got to do, but it's absolutely ridiculous. I'm really interested to see
what they do down the track. You know, things like the
Mercedes A45 AMG, you know, now you sit that side by side with a BMW M1 42. BMW was a three litre
straight-six turbo, still but it was a big, you know, walking six-cylinder motor in that little hatch.
The A45 was a 2-liter 4-cylinder, you know, much more.
Highly strung turbo. I'd love to see with 100,000 k
on it. Is the Mercedes just rooted, you
know, because it's been added to neck wrung its entire life in the BMW's. Okay, or are they both similar?
You know, and then you look at things like the BMW i8, you know. And that was a, it's an electric
motor in the front and a 1.5 liter 3-cylinder turbo running
the rear axle and that you know, with the uneven noted that it sounds phenomenal. I mean that's a four point,
four, second car, which is, it's not the fastest super car out there, but it's the that's for an environmentally conscious super quick and you think that's a combination of electric motor ER and a turbo three-cylinder. So if you said that to me, 10
years ago, we're gone you insane.
That's not going to happen and 441 kilohertz.
Yeah. Just tell the the turbo 3
cylinder. Yeah, I think that supercars are
downsizing Aston Martin going smaller and putting twink a bow.
Yeah, Ferrari. It's sort of like a mountain
bike getting month years. You know, we started with a
penny farthing with a giant wheel in the 1800's and, you know, it was single speed and yeah, they went quite quick when she got them up to up to speed but then people went on, you got Gears. And, you know, you had all that
in and much more efficient way of doing it.
All right? So so, would you prefer to drive
a turbocharged car for hearing in, or if you were given the choice between? In the model.
I mean, okay, I'll give you guys a scenario here.
Missin is Sylvia is 15. You could buy them with an old
tech for some of which is naturally aspirated or you can buy them with the turbocharged SR20.
They both had the same power, which one would you buy?
Yes, I'm glad to and charged defeat you go turbocharged.
Yeah, yeah I think I'd go to You can easily just put a brand-new turbo on it and you'll have stuff all Leg, it'll run, better make more power. Then when you get to a big
exhaust to put in a front mount and a bleed valve and, you know, you doing very illegal things very quickly.
Yep. Well, most people if you talk to
most people now who buying modern cars, you know, out of any showroom, any brand you want to name, they would know if a customer or not like yeah, that they actually Would be able to tell you. Most non can't be with was
terrible. Not because there's so seamless
in the way they operate in the the way they they help boost the power. It's not like the old days of
nothing. Nothing.
Nothing whoosh. You know it?
Yeah. It's definitely not like that.
Now, Yeah, you were the ones that started doing that getting rid of Turbo lag completely. Well they with that 3 l 6 they
won International engine of the year.
Two years running with that motor when it came.
Yes around 06. 07 in the evening news I think and they had two
smaller spool turbos, you know, lower PSI but coming in at lower RPM and yeah, it was just they are Every road test of that motor and it was wasn't still. He's very good to drive was just
so linear. You couldn't feel where the
turbos were coming in and not? Yeah.
Um I'm on your Subaru Liberty be for I dropped years ago.
It's better to say that. Yep.
That was I remember that. I drove them when they were new
and it was like whoosh and then there was about a dead zone of a couple hundred RPM and then it was another one of his very words of God, these things all over the shop.
Yeah. So let's do one of those.
Yeah. Well that's what I was told by
now if it is a single to right now.
So yeah. It, uh, so did you modify that
to be single? I got mine.
Someone already did the hard work for me.
Okay, so that's a common mod on that on that car.
I'm imagining yeah, because it gets rid of that whole vacuum lines that always failed and everything along with it, getting different boost levels on the turbos and yeah obviously the big dead zone. As well.
So what the one I drove was literally a Prescott was brand-new and I worked for a company that we've used to road-test stuff and we all said this is not right, you know.
And that was that was a brand spanking.
Come without yeah. Having said that the right of
that car it was on stood on Factory 17s.
Yep. I think back then.
That was quite a big wheel back then and we were so impressed with how that car rode on the seventeen's.
It was really compliant, just felt great on the road.
Road. Yeah and look at the original
sale sheet for it. Whoever bought it the first
time. Nice.
It was like over 60 Grand. Yeah they were cheap money.
Big money. Hey you got the optional oil?
Cooler on there too. Like a box.
A box. Is that turbo around everyone's
turbo now? I think so.
Yeah. I never answered.
We just assumed you turbo guy. Adrian know what you're talking
about? You're talking to Jake to
different dinner generations of Motoring.
So you really need to be kind to say turbo in a because what are you talking about? Hear you talking about it?
This is some fencing City. Alright?
This is car talkie other decide. Make your points and decide
Adrienne use. Maddie's example of the S15
because he can't talk about the F-15 because it's something that was made to be turbo. That is ma it's the same as
getting an aside. When you be in a pulse, So
they're not made for that. They may be a so pleased to be
DET. That's what they were in town
for, but you put a DAT, as a det, as a 20 up against go.
Some 454, Big Block, their 454 everyday V8 were made to be in a. Yes, they're not make as much
power. I'm going to 100 percent say
that but you will never ever ever be the rumble of an old-school be. Oh yeah.
Always always lies to me. It goes in a all the way
especially in the VA you're talking today.
I think I think you're applying a specific kind of exception and then trying to convert that into the rule.
I agree that if you were to look at, you know, all sorts of engine sounds and everything else.
The old-school heavy V8, have the sound, but when you consider living with the car day-to-day, having fun with it, You know, the V8 starts to have a lot of drawbacks, particularly ones carbureted and using 20 liters of fuel, you know, just to go down to the shops. At the same time, I can
guarantee because I have had it ask when I've had the chase up.
That was turbo. I took the while for that.
So you get nothing but those it was times where I would be sick driving home and that flat, I would just piss me off because of the fact that the noise would give More of a headache than what I already had. So, but if you did it to that
car, he's just at the point, he might fluttered away from Factory, the way that I look at it.
Use old cars in a three videos on, as he creates problems, and then he invents new solutions for them.
Oh, gods in a turbo, supercharged.
Whatever it is. They all have their good points.
They all have the bad points and it's it's hard to say which one's better it off the fence Adrian.
It was more of an engineering point of view within in saying that you're looking at Electric engines.
Now, let your engines are better than want their Bowser, that's why all hyper cars are going Elektra, King, Engines as well.
So I'm still going to stick with my Naas.
I love the stand of a good Ma. Again, X you draw.
It sounds that make nothing. I'm broken.
What about your BMW? The what?
Sounds that make. Oh wait, nothing I'm broken.
I saw you. Hey, when your car breaks the
head gasket, I'm going to compost piss myself, laughs.
Look, if it's a 260,000 case hasn't done it yet.
I'll probably have to Lost at the life of the car and it'll get. Then I'll go to 2020 if t.i., I
don't care. Hey Adrian isn't your current
daily? A turbo?
That's a lot. How that works, huh?
It's just a little horse. We all have turbo cars.
Yeah. Nigger free to go to our last
break in the night will come back with the car quiz.
Right. After this, I went back on Car
Talk, we've just discussed turbo verse in a and the latest with the I'll import laws. Now, we've got the car quiz,
which the boys will be, will be taking.
So how the car quiz works is? I asked him questions, it will
be gets the Most right out of the tent wins and becomes bragging rights Champion for the week.
A funny little thing that I saw today that just before we do the quiz, I thought I would mention. Yeah, I was watching the Scott
Morrison, press release, you know, he comes out of the office and gives the latest on the whole situation in Australia, whatever. And as you're watching it on
Facebook, it's got people writing comments in the column.
Alongside it, you know, like it's it popped up.
Like who is this guy? Who's he think he is?
I disagree, I love him, I hate him.
Whatever. Anyway, so all I'm watching it
It for about 20 minutes and of all these comments are sort of flowing past on the Facebook feed.
And in amongst it all, which is all about covid-19 at, you know, the whole country, and whatever. Here's one from a guy that goes
a you Falcon for sale p.m., he's probably the same one.
Different. This is you know how they have
the one on the side that doesn't sign language.
Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
Someone wrote on there and said You know, it's a little bit disrespectful. Someone standing on the side
doing a Tick-Tock dance. While our prime minister try to
speak, you know, I'm not saying I want to take away the sign language people's jobs but couldn't you just have somebody typing out with the prime minister or the person is saying and just have that as text on the screen just put captions on tick Kevin just put captions on and that helps not only You know, do like on here but you know people that just generally would have some issues. I guess.
Yeah. Kind of understanding of the
volumes off, you help everyone and you have to waste, you know what I'm assuming is probably 65 to 70 thousand dollars a year.
Employing this person to do hand signs on TV?
Sure, it's okay for a license to steal.
So you know what if The one I saw the other day.
It just sounded good. That's all.
Okay, let's go. Stop go.
DJ, it's good and Adrian booby. He's he's he's having a bad day.
Angie question. One, how many limited slip
differentials did the Ford RS200 have the blue, the group?
Alma had it had to be incorrect. Yeah, and 13.
It did have three of yes. What are three solutions
question to the Lancia Stratos that?
How many cylinders? This is go with three incorrect.
I want to say for but damn it, it has five.
Isn't it go? Would you 7, oz saw one today?
An actual Stratos I walked out either park near my house and I rang many dark because it was on cloud plates and there's a bit of contention about driving club play cars in the moment, and it just Is motoring down High Street in my house and I was like, God, dammit that sorelli spec Stratus.
So I rang in an online, but just so that your and I just saw this driving down our history, was he knows it seeing that car.
Anyway, the answer the question, I think a Lancia Stratos.
I've got a feeling, it's a weird number of cylinders.
I think it might be five incorrect.
Damn, skull of give it a chance. Scott, got in there.
It's 6:00. It is 6 out of Ferrari V6.
What else? Scott question, 3.
The Honda Civic type-r. First originated in what body
style. Skate Scott, got in there.
The EK EK correct. But what if we're for an extra
half Point, what type of body style was it hatchback there was a hatch. What?
I'm so 1.5 to you, what I'll do. Question 4, what car from BMW is
known as the Clown Shoe id id, the the in kupe the first in pupae? Yep, correct.
Well on Question question. 5, the Guinness World Records
bosses? Engine exchange of VW Beetle.
Had a time of what? Like do we have to have an exact
time? Because that's some bullshit.
Whoever gets the closest will win, but 58 seconds.
Okay, I'll let you guys have a go at this.
This is putting an engine pulling one out and putting one in and driving away and driving away.
Perfect. How many people working on the
car? Hey, that's this extra
information. It's a day of question it.
I'm sitting on the fence. I'm doing an Adrian.
All right? You've gotta find Scott.
I'm going to, I'm going to go three minutes.
Okay, Adrian. Something stupid like that.
Scott. Four minutes and 55 seconds.
The actual time was 1 minute and six seconds so atoms closer so he gets yes I got a point. How is that even possible?
It was all a scam like here's the next question for question.
6 of read this Guinness World Record.
Take place. Ed in a country because no, no
Ella. Where is somewhere in the UK?
Or some shoes on a stage? Wasn't it incorrect?
Adrian Adrian, Germany incorrect?
Scotty do last hope. Sweden.
Oh, can I go for another one? The state wasn't it?
It was, what do you say to get the levers around? Little if they mistakenly gave
it the world record kind of plaque, but it's actually them Ealing image from a car question, 7.
The Chrysler Crossfire shares its platform with what car?
Hey Mercedes, SLK. Where was the question 8?
The crossfire assembled? Mexico incorrect.
Damn it. The answer to everything can be
mixed together. No, it's just a lot of American
cars and stuff it assembled in Mexico, 8, good.
I think it was assembled in the u.s. incorrect dependably
Canada. I swear to God.
I'd say nothing is known as the what?
In other countries? Adrian, Adrian.
Yes, folks, folks, folks to something or other.
I'll give you half a balk Alum. It was voxel V6. 220, not
Basics. To 20, that's incorrect.
The extra 20 psi Scott is on three.
Yes, got extra hot point. I should at least deserve the
full point. That's some bullshit.
Well, Adrian. Name the brand so and even got
most of it. Yeah, he did.
So something around is not most of it.
Sir question, I hate the player hate the game.
Shall we kill? Matt, if we get the answer to
that? Last one, the open city was the
Box will be x, 220. Okay, question 10.
So Ed or Scott can win it. Here you other two are complete
losers and you're not going to win.
It's question time. My wife, what two engines did
the VX to 20 / Opel Speedster? The come out with.
Don't look it up, Alice, don't look it up.
Just stop me. Like, what those are only
expected to know. Are we expecting our
displacements? I don't know.
Yes, it's all about the displacements.
And if there were any way, okay, go.
No one was a four-cylinder turbo and the other one was a big clue. How I think one was a
four-cylinder turbo and one was just an in a four-cylinder.
Yes. Can you get can you give me for
an extra half a mark? The displacements of each fight,
huh? It said something like two
liters. But was it a Toyota engine?
Well, say this is where the story gets interesting that cop was based on the Lotus Elise, but they use that they use actually like a, like, General Motors engine.
So they use the Astra turbo engine, the two later, and, and then a to point to that as well. So he gave it away, man.
Give me a strange answer me. So the winner tonight is Scott
on 3.5? Yes, 3.5.
So it's on three arms and three Adrian's on .5 and Scotty's
those that we know with 3.5 well, done Scotch.
That's doesn't tough questions in there.
