Well, I've got a new cabinet for my Lego.

It is absolutely awesome.

Which we built over Christmas and yes, I'm very pleased with it.

So I've been able to build more Legos that turns out I didn't even know that I had.

Oh my God.

Yeah.

Very Lego found.

Yeah.

The fact that she's been buying the same things twice.

Oh, that's very good.

Yeah.

Oops.

So I love Lego, obviously.

Have you been in the new Lego store, Belfast?

No, I haven't.

The first, I think I was in Belfast a couple of times before Christmas.

I got to open the start of December or something like that and every time when it passes just

a mental queue.

Yeah.

It's fine now.

But that's also like, hey, do you like drugs?

Have you been to the local fucking drug dealer?

Yeah.

There's a new one open.

But I, you know, when I get paid each month, I buy one or two bits that have been looking

at her.

Feed addictionally, yes.

But because I've had nowhere really to put them, I had quite a few of them in the living

room, but you have to dust them all the time and then you're scared of like knocking bits

off them and the living room was very cluttered.

So I haven't really had anywhere proper to put them.

So I've had loads for ages that I haven't built on purpose because I had nowhere to

store them.

And now I do.

And I've actually nearly run out of room in it already.

She was like, oh, I need another cabinet.

I'm like, where the fuck are we going to put another cabinet?

But yeah.

So I built, I was showing Nigel there before we started recording.

One of my favorite builds that I did was it's a Lego City F1, like Laurie truck.

And it's like a kids one.

Hi, what'd you say it's 8 to 12 or something?

Well done to you.

It builds out.

It's fucking impressive.

Get them off to McLaren.

Get them apprenticeship.

That's what they're looking.

But it's, it's a really, really detailed build and so many little features as you're

building it that you're going, wow.

And then I built Sukie's S2000 from Too Fast Too Furious.

And when you're building it as you're going through, you put in, there's a little engine

cover, a little red engine cover that says VTech on it.

There's like a couple other bits in the engine bay, but then you put the bonnet on and you

can't see any of that.

And the bonnet doesn't open.

So it's just pointless.

Yeah.

But you just know as you've built it, that's in there.

I know what's inside there.

Yeah.

Should I give it an option for a perspex hood or bonnet or something?

It was the Fast and Furious, Too Fast Too Furious Supra had that, I think.

The gold one had the perspex on.

But yeah, that's been fun.

So I've now gone through and tidied up all my steel box Lego and kind of a Naya Duna

what I have, but I did have a few doubles of things.

So I gave a couple of them to the, like the cash for kids Christmas appeal and stuff.

And then I still have a couple that I might just hang on to for Star Wars ones and stuff

that I bought myself.

Well, it'll take probably 20 years for them to go up in value.

Maybe they will, maybe they won't.

But that's not why I have them.

And like once I build them, the boxes go in the bin.

Like once they're built, they're for me.

They're not for...

I was just going to take them apart and sell them.

So you might as well just...

Unless you were going to do some sort of display on top of the box or something.

But then that'll be a bit weird.

I know a fella who buys them, builds them with his kids, then takes them apart,

rebags them all and sells them on.

Sounds like a fun guy.

At that point, you would just buy the knockoff Chinese stuff, which comes in the bags

and is what, like, an eighth of the price.

Funny that at gravity, there was a fella doing the knockoff Chinese stuff,

at least he was sold out.

I'm not surprised, yeah.

We were, I think it was the Sunday, so gravity's a two-day show, I think.

Possibly.

And it was me and Colin was over and Colin's son and Colin went over to the stall.

He couldn't decide whether he wanted this Lego or something else.

I think it was an hour between the decision and he went back, was all sold out.

Oh, shit.

And that was probably 11 or 12 o'clock on the Sunday.

Oh, so I was well sold out then.

It was good.

Like, I forget how my models were, but they weren't there.

Because the two cats as well, like, are they all put together cats that Lego don't do?

You know, like, engine-specific and car-specific, it's pretty cool.

Around Christmas time, you get bombarded with, like,

you know, targeted ads on Instagram and stuff for, like, wee Porsche models and stuff that...

I've been targeted, most of them because I was looking for Landau or Defenders for a friend

at work, but I've been targeted on, must be Tech Talk or Instagram for the knockoff Defender Lego.

Aye, there you go, yeah.

Aye, they're probably saying that you've looked at Lego before.

Some of them, because they can't have the official licensed names,

some of those names are very funny.

What else is new with me?

Connor and I have been doing some work in the garage, again.

Not as much as we hoped to get done over Christmas because other stuff happened and I had a lot of

Lego to build, but we did get some stuff rearranged.

The two jettas have been swapped around.

The donor jettas now end of the middle of the garage, so it's going to get chimney chopped.

Chopped, chopped, chopped.

Yep.

They make a better room.

So the thing with the donor jettas, obviously it's a Mark 1 jetta,

but the roof's no good to leave because it has a sunroof.

The quarter panels have been cut up.

The bootlet has been used.

The rear panel has been used.

Yep.

The doors you can keep.

I'm going to keep the doors.

The floors is no point in keeping.

They actually look solid, but you can buy the floor panels anyway,

and then the entire front end is good to you.

I'm going to keep the front end.

There's no arches on it, unfortunately, but the front chassis legs, the bonnet,

the inner arches, the front panel, the glass.

Cut it at the bottom of the windscreen, keep everything forward,

and keep the doors and the dash, I think.

The dash seems to be in decent condition.

And I think they're jettas-specific.

They're different than a Golf, so at least you have that.

And even if it turns out it's not in great shape,

because I haven't seen it for a long time,

other than kind of peeking in through the shell,

but it's still handy to have if you ever want to do a wrap dash or anything like that.

Yeah, that was good.

Jake and Polly came round last night and gave us a push around with them,

because the donor's wheels were all flat, and the tires were literally holes in them.

One of them blew up, and I was like,

I'm not this won't inflate that dead.

And I was like, no, when it isn't inflating,

then you're kind of regretting it, because you're like,

this is going to explode like it's going to be worn this tire.

Yeah, that just a bit of general tidying in the garage.

And then it was up in the workshop too, more tidied out.

Went through a lot of stuff, threw out stuff.

And you find a lot of stuff that you didn't know you had,

so you can't laugh at me for my LEGO collection,

because your parts collection is disgraceful.

So I'd boxed up like all the Mark III parts and Mark II parts all individually,

and like Mark III front light sets that I had like, you know...

How many headlights did you find?

Oh, God.

Must have been 20.

Fog lights. I'm coming down with Mark III fog lights.

and I'm just sitting looking at it going...

and I took like five big rubble sacks out of the place of just shit

and fucking old parts of stuff that you were hoarding

because you were young and didn't have any money.

And now you're like, I don't need this.

was never really cleared out fully from when your dad had it.

So there was stuff I was going through and Ben and like,

just old like fucking kitchen, making stuff that, you know,

like glues and things that are long gone off.

So anybody outside Northern Ireland,

the meat wagon's basically the police landovers

that are heavily reinforced.

Somebody, it might have been one of the Americans,

sent me a picture of one of them,

one time the gray ones.

A financial telephone line on the side of it.

whenever things sort of calmed down a little bit,

they tried to make them a bit more friendly.

Did you ever hear about the time,

back in the day I'm talking, 25 years ago,

there used to be big cruises happening,

banger and cummer in the Max Bar days.

And I think the police were aware of this cruise

that was happening on the cummer.

And for some reason they sent meat wagons down.

Or maybe the boys were on duty or whatever.

And they came down in the cummer car park really fast

because people were, you know, doughnutting and stuff.

And they came down past Super Valley and turned and tipped it.

In front of all the people.

I had to get like a lorry recovery.

I remember one night as a cruise in New York,

that this is going way, way back.

Five ways round about as you come into New York,

you have Hallford and stuff there.

In that retail park, there was a big cruise.

And the police come in and one of the Landrovers,

boys were doughnutting in Twin Cams.

This is going back like, I might have been driving,

I might not.

You know, it's 20 years ago.

And when they came in, three Twin Cams just sat doughnutting around them.

And I was like, what are you going to do?

Like it's fucking, it's just Lawless down there.

Like, yeah.

I remember the New York cruises, like you got boys from South Armour.

And just over the border, didn't give two toots.

Didn't give a fuck.

They didn't give a fuck.

And they know the borders, what, 10 minutes that way.

Like, yeah.

There was no cooperation back then.

Um, yeah, there was a very different time.

I think a lot of that, you got away with a lot of it more too as well,

because the cops genuinely had more to be worrying about

troubles and things going on.

And when I got my test, I think it was 96 or 97,

you were just coming in the Good Friday agreement times

and the cops were everywhere.

There were maybe four or five times what they are now.

But the work looking for you.

But if the thing you're doing, they would just pull a little rice up with you.

Did you get any Christmas?

I did actually, yeah.

I got, um, something I've been looking for a long time is, um, metal shear.

You know, like a bench mender one, like a guillotine.

Oh, yeah.

For making patch panels.

Um, and a set of stretcher shrinkers for, um.

Why?

No, for panels again.

So imagine you wanted to make, uh, like an arch lip.

Mm-hmm.

So you would fold a piece of metal, say 90 degrees.

And, but then obviously it's straight and you want it like an arch.

This will actually like pull the metal apart and curve it around.

Very good.

Um, I'm probably describing that terribly, but.

Rather than a 90 degree bend, like a corner, this makes it into like a rounded bend.

Basically just like the arch shape keeps the lip, so it stretches the metal.

Or if you want to do it in the other direction, it'll like shrink the metal.

So like pulls it together.

Um, I've wanted them for a long time.

So that was good.

Did I get anything else?

I don't know.

I think that was it mostly like automotive wise.

Um, but I'm looking forward to using them.

That's the thing with the guillotine is obviously I use the grinder a lot.

It's noisy for a start.

It's very dirty because you're getting dust particles from the blade and the metal.

And when you're out there for six hours at a time constantly cotton,

it does build up and it gets fucking everywhere.

And you have less risk of removing a finger.

I was going to say, yep.

Which I have attempted on a few times.

Um, what have I been up to over Christmas?

I got some new bushes for my r32.

So sometimes Connor gets me presents that I don't even know that I need.

Well, I give you the list of stuff you needed to buy for the r32 you remember years ago.

And then I knew you hadn't made a move on it yet.

Well, it was Black Friday.

It's a happy Christmas.

And that's the only part that you're only going to get one chance to buy.

So that's why I was like, right, get it now.

And then at least you have it.

Sometimes I can get stuff out of work and then,

but then there's some stuff, especially for the very older cars that I can't get.

So, um, yeah.

Another thing that happened on Christmas day.

So we talked on the Christmas episode about remote control cars.

And I showed you my little MR2 remote control car that's now in the new cabinet.

And we talked about the old cars, like the off-road type ones that flipped over and kept going.

Do you remember talking about these?

And on Christmas day, I was at my granny's house.

Conversation came around to cars.

And my granny was like, I still have you and Lauren's old remote control cars.

Would you like to have them back?

After us talking about it like four days before.

That's spooky.

And I was like, absolutely I would.

So she took us down one of her, the beds and one of her spare rooms has like the drawers

under the bed and there they were.

In, what was it in?

In like an ancient Tesco bag, like the one, you know,

the old stripy ones that you don't see anymore.

Because I seen them.

I was like, is that the old one?

What sort of cars were they?

The flippy one?

Yeah.

Is it Nikko?

I was like, one starts with a T as well.

There's us, Tyko, I think.

You charge the batteries before I come down?

Yeah, the batteries are scrapped.

So they come with like a wall mounted charger pack and the big square batteries.

So they don't seem to be working, but the controllers,

the remote controllers had old, you know,

the old square nine volt batteries you put in your smoke detector.

They were still working.

Sweet.

And we had the, we, I think we tried it back to you.

What did we reckon the batteries was from, takes from 2002?

Yeah.

This nine volt battery, I'm still working on the controller because we thought

we'd leave batteries in them.

The terminals of the, you know, you pull it.

Nothing at all.

So if anybody knows anything about them, please hit me up.

Otherwise we're going to try and rebuild the batteries or get new batteries or something

because I'd love to have them going again.

And I have them both home with me in case we can fix them.

And then I'll give my sisters to her for her little boy.

Are they the charger pack you're telling about?

Are they like a gel?

No, they're like a square.

The other thing I suppose we've been up to,

I don't know if we were going to talk about this separately,

was motor fixed cars and coffee?

Yes.

We went down, which sort of ties in with some of my talking anyway.

So we went down, made a range to go to Paul's cart and coffee.

And that morning woke up and there was like three inches of snow here.

That's right.

Yeah.

And I was like, oh, wonderful.

So we took off in the TT at what time?

Quattro par.

Half seven.

You would imagine so, yeah.

Until I didn't have Quattro.

And also, I don't know if I mentioned this in the podcast.

I don't think I did before or not.

See, if you drive that car on ice or snow,

or do you ever go along the road and a farmer's been pulling out

and there's mud all over the road?

And it's, you feel a bit scary.

In that car, you would swear the back ends detached.

Right.

But it doesn't do it in the dry.

It doesn't do it in the dry road or anything like that.

But if it is wet, well, not wet.

Sorry.

I see or snow or that loose, like gravel,

you would swear that the back end of the car is disconnected.

Just twitchy or what?

Beyond twitchy.

It's scary.

Do you remember me talking about my Mark 4R32?

Yes.

It's unnerving.

Because I said to Lee, if I was in the Bora,

I would have been drifting every roundabout

with confidence, with too much confidence.

I'd have been fucking around.

I could have put that Bora.

I could have slid that Bora if it was four meters long.

I could have slid it through a 4.2 meter gap.

The TT, I was shifting myself on a straight road.

It was scary.

It was.

And I was in the passenger seat and I was like, I don't like this.

Track is to roll off or on?

Try both.

The R32 is more drivable with the track is to roll off.

Yes.

The Bora was the same.

You had a lot more control on it.

This feels like.

So the computer was almost telling you,

you just feel one way you catch it and one way not.

And it's jerky.

That's not like this.

This is like smooth.

Like it.

This is like, you know, if you got a trailer

into like a fishtail, that's what it feels like.

Mm-hmm.

It's scary.

All the bushes are good at the back of it.

It went through MOT

less than 2,000 mile ago.

So there should be.

So with the rearrangement and the guards, the plan is.

You don't feel anything when it's dry now.

It's nothing in the dry.

But I do suspect they're known.

So the trail and arm, the back trail and arm comes forward

and sets up into like a metal bucket that is bolted through

and then the bucket bolts up into the body.

That bucket is known to rot.

Right.

And I'm wondering, is it is it rotten and it's moving around?

I don't know why it's only presenting itself

in slippery conditions is the thing.

Yeah, that's weird.

I work one TT and I drive it in the snow doing Chinese deliveries

and other times and I was so confident in that car.

I was the same with the Bora.

It was so good.

It was better than the R32 to drive.

Richie used to actually give off to me about how I drove the Bora.

He was like, you've too much confidence in that car.

Like that.

Like I drove that like a fucking dickhead.

You were to swear I had super glue in the tires

on that thing and that TT scourged me.

So I need to get it on the ramp enough.

Yeah.

So thankfully that bucket isn't part of the body.

It just bolts in now.

So it's.

You can replace it.

So that's a good thing.

So yeah, we got to McDonald's and I went, fuck this, I'm parking this.

So we parked at McDonald's and Bambridge

and Lee and I jumped in with James.

Fogle had the Silver Polo that you seen them in.

The other thing was when we fucking went down past Nury, 20 minutes down the road.

There was no snow.

but I didn't know what I was doing in Dublin or anything.

So we got down anyway.

He has a real old sticker on it.

Like I'm not massively into like Land Rover stuff,

but it looks really, really cool.

Around that sort of era.

It's like lifted and big bumpers and big wheels and tires and things.

What else did we get up to?

We went for massive feet afterwards.

We went to Cosmo.

No, all you can eat like buffets.

So basically the same as Belfast, but down there,

but it was a lot of feeding.

There was some food coming us after.

It was, aye.

I was coming up, I'm glad I wasn't driving

because I was in James's passenger seat

and the head was going like nodding off.

because I think Lee was doing the same in the back.

I was snoozing the back, you know,

you just jam your head between the two back headrests

and just have wee toes.

And then, but Connor kept asking me questions

but we had to push it up the hill.

He and I took into it and in two half days,

basically a couple hours each afternoon,

we had the whole front end dismantled,

engine out, sub frames out,

wheeled outside on a trolley,

power washed the base,

scrubbed it all down to degrease it.

I just remembered what it is.

And then-

A bit foggy this year too.

Drilled out the spot wells,

removed all the brackets,

the typical shear based stuff that I enjoy.

And then I put them to work,

to burn metal, the bay and the inner wings.

The inner wings are great on it.

And I was like, yes, you want them to stay great.

Do everything.

You know, so everything from the air pillars forward

is now burn metal.

He wants to weld up a few holes,

and then body work it and paint it.

So the deal I've done with them is,

because he's always pulling us out of holes for stuff,

I was like, I haven't time to do your bay

the way I always want to do.

I was like, if you do all the prep work and stuff,

I'll paint it for you.

I'll do the bit you can't do,

and then he can do all the mechanical bits

and things I got.

So that's good.

That'll be a nice wee car when it's done.

And then I got a phone call the other day.

Jake, who was on the last podcast with us,

bought coilovers for his Beetle.

And I said to him, as I always do,

He says, I don't have the confidence.

And I was like, I know you know how to do it,

but things can go wrong.

I'm going to take the R32 off the lift to put the TT on.

Get a put coilovers on a Mark IV and fucking 2Rs, whatever.

Now Mark V suffered badly for that,

I think on the passenger side, could not get these out.

And I was like, I'll come over and have a look.

So I thought myself over and fucking jam them down a bit

and it'll be fine.

Could not.

There was still maybe like half an inch or more

before they would go.

And I hadn't brought any totals with me,

you know, to start stripping the hubs and stuff.

And I was like, how much do you like these shocks?

And he was like, I don't even fucking ever come back in.

I was like, there's a really rash way you can do this.

And Jake being Jake was all in.

So he cut the springs when they're in the car.

They released the tension off them

and then removed the spring out.

And then just cut through the damper rod.

So he just took the shock out into halves.

Which probably was a lot quicker than me

going and getting all the fucking totals.

And but see when he took it out,

the guy that sold him that car told him

he was building an off-road project with this beetle,

which was a weird choice.

And he gave him these like machined aluminium

like spacers for the back that lifted the back end up,

you know, sat under the spring.

And Jake was like, they're obviously not fitted

because I have them here, but I don't know about the front.

So, but the front always looked really high

because he had the 17s on it.

No, it sort of throws the car off and it looks high anywhere.

It turns out when we got the shock out,

there was a fucking one inch long steel spacer

between the top spring mount and the top mount burn in the front.

So that's where you couldn't pop it out.

That's where you couldn't get it out because it was so fucking long.

Then now it's leverage.

Yeah. Weird, weird thing to do on a beetle.

So if anybody wants to left a mark four,

a two wheel drive mark four,

Jake has a kit for you, which is very fucking cool.

So we did that, got the passenger side in with the coil over in,

everything was good, went to the driver's side,

still couldn't get it.

Couldn't get it in.

I was like, why the fuck is this being weird?

And I was like, it's probably due to the length of the drive shaft,

whatever. We'll take the hub off.

So I says, I'm going to have to come back tomorrow

with the tools anyway, we'll give it a go.

I like using a ball joint splitter like the scissor tape one,

so it doesn't tear the boot and stuff.

But I had a couple of cracks with a hammer straight out.

I was like, happy days, this is going really well.

Took the break off, lower ball joint, everything went well.

Could not get, took the hub nut off,

couldn't get the fucking drive shaft to slide out of the center of the burn.

It went out like most of the way.

There's about a five mil lip left on it.

Cannot get it to come out.

So Stefan's an air hammer,

so we'll use that and just fucking pop it out.

But we're supposed to do it yesterday

and we lost track of Stefan, I don't know where he is.

So it could be dead.

So yeah, that beat us, which is really annoying

because I wanted to see the car out, lowered sort of thing.

So I've been doing that.

I was like, wow, if they actually made that,

like it's obviously a render or a bit like,

But once you actually start digging,

there's no details of it.

And there's nothing from Honda.

And it was the kind of reputable news outlet.

It's one or two posts,

basically the same post copied and pasted from

on some of the small sites.

like our mechanics and things like that,

that the emissions things on your cars

and the problems you're having with them, it's scary.

But yeah, I can see why the average is pushing up.

but then they have better weather and the cars last longer.

We're actually testing their new F1 car

just the other day there in Spain.

I'm not sure when it is, but sometime in the next few days

about some of the manufacturers are exploiting a loophole in the new rules.

And the other teams who have not exploited this loophole

are crossed about that, as you would expect.

I guess Red Bull was one of the ones to exploit the loophole.

Because they are experts at that.

Red Bull and Mercedes.

And some of the other teams have then obviously made complaints.

So I don't know the exact facts and figures,

but it's something to do with like the,

Like the cubic capacity of the engine.

The ratio has to be, I think it's something like 16 to 1 of the compression.

And, but it doesn't specify the operating temperature

at which it has to be that.

So they've discovered that you can have it at 16 to 1 at ambient temperature.

But as the engine gets hotter.

And they're not technically breaking the rules.

The compression ratio changes.

I don't say throughout the cycle.

So that's all going to come to a head now at some point.

Because obviously the teams that have done it

will have a significant advantage.

The teams who haven't will be at a corresponding disadvantage.

They're now so far down their development.

They're starting to redevelop for, to suit the rule.

But the other teams, if they say, well, that's okay.

Lot of the British drivers tend to be good in the wet because it's always fucking wet here.

admitted that the gas McCann should have stayed.

He's the CEO now of Volkswagen.

But yeah, he's looking back and be like, no, this was a fucking mistake.

Yeah.

Like we should have done this.

So they went all in 2021, but the marked reality of 26 has made them shift dramatically.

It's probably them hedging their bets for being told that they have to have

solely EV vehicles by a certain date and going, okay, we'll pick that one to be EV,

that one and whatever way it finally goes, we'll kill that off and EVS or whatever.

I actually genuinely feel sorry for a lot of the big manufacturers because.

There's the will of EU legislation.

Yeah.

And they've been forced down a certain route.

This isn't even like a non-political thing.

They literally have been told, you just can't do this and they go, okay,

we have to redevelop everything and push that direction.

Everybody's pushed that direction or most of them, not Toyota.

And now they've went, oh no, it's fine.

Yeah.

They're pushing back that, uh, I state we're talking about.

So, you know, you can continue making them.

No, I do feel for them.

And there's a case of politicians implementing stuff that happens in the UK here without,

like they've just backtracked on the business rates proposal of the budget because,

oh, that might put half of our pumps out of business.

Oops.

But it's like I told you is like they come up with these things to win points,

knowing that in 10 years time when it actually comes to happen, they'll not be in power.

You know, that's, that's the thing, like they're all fine.

We were chatting to a friend of ours yesterday about who works in the steel industry,

about this new carbon tax on steel, depending on where in the world it comes from.

It must be something to do with, I think Indonesia and Korea were mentioned that are

large obviously steel producers and the Korean rate,

it looks like it will be a lower rate and the Indonesian rate will be higher.

So I can only assume and this might be a sweeping generalization, but

Indonesia must be a more heavily polluting country in their manufacturing and production

processes as a carbon tax.

Or maybe well, it can't be distance because

Indonesia and Korea must be fairly equidistant on the from here.

But I'll give you a laugh.

There's the crux of it, right?

So you're a steel user.

You purchase your steel from this person and everything's good.

This person tells you, by the way, in two years time, there's going to be a carbon tax on this,

but not it's going to start being charged in two years time.

In two years time, you're getting a bill from the government.

A retrospective.

Yes, at whatever rate per tonne.

So it'll be say 70 pounds per tonne, whatever, blah, blah, blah.

They haven't set the rates yet and they won't until closer to the time.

So you're buying this blindly, not knowing.

Guessing.

Yeah.

And if you're buying them, you could be.

How the hell do they do that?

They don't.

And the manufacturers or the buyers are being told,

set, we can't.

Certain aside, guess it.

Because the seller doesn't even know.

And they're like, look, set X amount aside, try and combat this, blah, blah, blah.

It's been lobbied right through up into Europe, but nobody knows.

But it's going to happen.

And that's another thing that's going to hit the car industry hard because what do they use?

The first one is a totally new one and it's probably one of those channels I'll never

watch again.

But it was more the title drew me in.

The channel's called The Hustle and the title is He Built the Amazon of Manufacturing.

And it's about basically an interview with the guy who started Send Cut Send in America.

You know the, do you know about it?

The what?

Send Cut Send.

No.

So basically a lot of the big YouTubers using it, but you think if you want to make something

sheet metal or expanded far beyond this now, but like you'd have to draw it up in CAD,

then you'd have to take it to a local engineer in place who will not want to do it because

they have a process order that is making them 50 grand that week.

Send Cut Send is literally you draw up what you want, send the file to them.

They give you an instant price on it.

You purchase it and it's like you're doing like two days.

Aluminium steel.

One-off parts.

They've even, so it used to be just flat meat sheet metal laser cut.

Now they'll do bends on it.

So you could, if you were doing like a battery box, you would fold it all up,

send the CAD file, it arrives pre-done.

They'll paint them, powder coat, they're doing laser etching.

They will rivet things together.

It's basically a, but it's a massive operation now.

They have one of their laser machine, like their laser cutters,

was it over a million dollars?

And they're 14 of them.

And they run 24-hour shifts, just constantly processing stuff.

So loads of the YouTubers have been using them now for years, but it's actually really

interesting.

Stanceworks, Superfast Mat, every time you watch their channels, they're like,

oh, I got these parts from Send Cut Send.

They're obviously sponsoring them as well.

I've never heard of them before.

It's on, if there was something here, I'd be using it all the time.

But they, the general story is-

This is an opportunity for anyone here.

The guy basically created this software to process these orders and things,

and nobody wanted it.

None of the big companies wanted it.

So he went, went already, and he went with the business and

built it up, took a risk on it.

Very normal guy, too.

He was just like, you know, I was just a dude in my garage and I wanted some stuff.

And if I could order from China, but it was like a thousand part minimum order or something.

Or a text four weeks, that kind of thing.

And he was like, maybe I'll just give it a go.

And then he was like, there's a lot of people like me who are just a guy in their garage,

but there's thousands of them.

There's an opportunity.

The quickest he says they've ever processed, because your woman said, asked him this question,

from basically someone hit okay on the order online till it was boxed ready to go out, was 32 minutes.

That's insane.

That's nuts like another one then locally.

Once again, we've talked about it before is Peyton concepts.

So he's pushing on with the 190 E Mercedes build.

So he has the OM 606 with, I think it's the John Deere tractor turbo he's putting on it.

So he basically had a, was it an F-150?

Some kind of pickup, yeah.

Going like an old shape F-150 going around in a circle.

So he basically put a block on the wheel or on the accelerator

and locked the steering wheel down round.

And it was just circling at a bit five or 10 mile an hour.

And he was just shooting at it with different calipers to see what actually would stop it.

I still have never managed to find the alleged local broadcaster

But anyway, so I'm watching the end of day highlights on YouTube and it's a good crack.

But one of the others that we watched was again a Red Bull one.

So it was Isaac Hajar, the F1 driver, driving Mitch Guthrie's Ford Raptor T1 rally red car.

Round it looks like a quarry or something.

And so Mitch went in and set a benchmark time to go around this track.

And then the challenge to Isaac was, can you get within 15 seconds of his time?

So he's like, it's never driven off road before, you know, never driven this car before.

And well, he did it.

Yeah.

And it was, it was really good to watch.

It was face was so funny.

He's the Travis Pastrana face.

Just like pure product the whole time, even though he's given it 10 tens.

All right.

The passenger face who's actually driving.

Yep.

All right.

It's funny.

Like he looks terrified and he was like, that was great.

But those cars and stuff for.

They're insane.

There was another one.

I can't even remember what it was, but we watched last night and it was a look back at basically

when they had the Group B rally cars in Dakar.

But they were building these mental trucks and the DAF team built a twin engine truck

that produced 1200 horsepower.

And there's a picture, there's a video.

Ari Vatanen is in the 405 T16 coupe and the truck is passing them on the street.

That's how fast it was.

And they ran for a couple of years and then there was a bad, bad accident.

And the co-driver was killed and stuff.

So then they had to like basically reign it in.

And that's kind of like the same thing with Group B, only 40 ton of truck or whatever it is.

Too much power, too much power.

Yeah.

And like the trucks look fast now, but this thing looked insane.

I was like, is there any wonder?

And it was like, say a twin engine truck.

It was two 12 liter, kind of what many cylinders there were making 1200 horsepower

and just black smoke the whole way.

It was rigged, sir.

Aye, it was very, very interesting.

The bike on there is of good motorsport.

But then obviously the safety creeps in and all that's going on.

I have three chips.

The first is that the Rashmen are back.

So they have started producing regular content.

I was actually talking to Mark.

He was coming off a flight before Christmas and he was saying,

they're really going to get back on it this year.

They've all bought drift cars.

And most of them bought drift cars.

So there's a bit of local drifting carry on.

And then they've done a series of videos, but they're over in Japan there.

So they've done a trip to Ibisi.

And it's a 27,000 mile golf hour manual.

Interesting to see what he gave for that.

And long story short, it was part of an old man's estate and it was just auctioned off.

And it sat for seven years in storage.

And it looks mint.

So the settlement might not be rusty then.

Part of the video was him driving it and explaining it and all the rest.

And the other part, as I said earlier, was him talking about why cars like these are important.

That new cars aren't like this anymore.

And just, it was probably about a five or 10 minute monologue talking about,

you know, cars like this are important to us, you know, growing up.

It's actually all, he's raffling the car off.
