"extensive list and click have going on for another two hours like that last week. It was, it was it sounded like what we all deserve to being model T's. Because our young whippersnappers, with all their heated seats is, they were elements of that for sure, but but there are elements of new cars that I kind of do like."
"So Ford Fiesta 4.8 million Ford Cortina, 4.3 million Ford Escort 4.1 million Vauxhall Astra 3.1 million Vauxhall, Corsa, 2.3 million, Focus to select two million Volkswagen Golf, 1.4"

Does professional idiot. Automatic Perfection comes in
the form of two letters, A and D.
If my LTD was in the car took, it's me Mary Jo online with Rizzi Ross, Patrick, never met David prints and mr.
Scotty do Johnson. How are you?
Fellas? Ready.
Good, you like to thank you. Well, thank you.
Good to see all your lovely faces.
Good to be back for another Tuesday where we just talked about cars, that is it. Nothing else better to do in the
world and talk about cars on this fine is fine day which is actually not really fun. It's miserable out there.
However I believe that was also choose date.
It feels remarkably like a Sunday, actually your Nobody Does. It does it.
Does it feel? It.
Feels like I believe there was a race on today or some just like a horse race. Wasn't snooping on.
Yeah, I've been mislaid to. Yeah I think farlap one already.
So follow up at the Melbourne Museum he's must be a legend is looking well. He was looking very stiff if you
know what I mean. It was there Wasn't really
moving March. When I say he was, I think they
were trying to arrest his muscles.
So then when he could come out for the Melbourne cup, he'd been again, you know, that's that sponsored by Lexus.
Yes, was sponsored by heavily. It's just how we how we work on
the show. But will give us a card.
There's Jensen and see how you guys are going to start with mr.
Ritchie rice, how are you? My friend?
What's happening in your world of cars?
What's happening in the EV space?
Hit us up and tell us what's going on.
So, In cause I just I just had to put it out there.
I'll sort of been driving my highest performance legal.
I've had a chance to drive it a bit more.
It's obviously the baby Suzuki Hayabusa also known as AKA celerio so had a chance to drive a bit more doing doing a few Mornington Peninsula laps if you know I'm saying I'm sorry definitely gets more. Attention than the bigger
products. This is Uki.
The legendary Hayabusa. So that's been that's been good
of had the battery went flat. I pulled out the battery and it
looks like it's the original, you know, clearly made at Suzuki's local, Thailand, plant satellite.
Is that double A battery? Is it?
The boy pretty much? It's just a big capacitor.
Yeah, so we took that out and Ty writing all over.
It hasn't got any Suzuki emblem, logo or anything like that and put a Sentry battery in which I bought courtesy of super cheap auto don't support Autobahn. It's just the way it goes but
yeah another so did that. That was that was pretty quick
but yes it's seven years that original battery lasted, it's pretty good. And yeah, so that was my little
experience and it got me thinking about potentially hitting up the records again. For fun.
So my be on the cards in the next couple of months and gents to do something like that. But yeah, that's all that's been
happening in the car World in a week or so it's time.
I get the new mg's it is that it will be interesting to see what you think of that. And then I mentioned to Maddie
before the show, I'll be heading up the Sydney to test drive, the new lb V, ET, 60, electrocute, and the electric van that they have Coming down, so that will be happening later this month and the only thing I've got to compare it to is probably like the two and a half years or three years that I drove the, the 2013 Ryan job when I was working up in Queensland with it. So be interesting to see how it
sort of drives compared to the standard diesel units and stuff.
But yeah I'll share that when it's sort of done later this month. It'd be interesting to see like
how it how much range Uses with when it's in full drive, like this is constant unless it's a constant pool drive mode because it's a proper fool will drive. I'm trying to think what it is,
is a still just directly to the wheels or would that with that have a low range. So generally speaking.
So the performance test out that I've got is your motor, right?
So it's called it all wheel drive.
Yeah, so it's front and rear Motors and they sort of Drive the Veals sort of directly through the shafts.
I think this might be just the two wheel drive version But there is four wheel drive units being made by Julie and a couple of others that are going to be coming in the next six to 12 months. And that will be dual motor.
And there's a, there's a, you do the moment zero 104 seconds.
So that would be the Dual mode. Anjali has a youth brand in
China and alkyl radar and their be Mass producing them.
And I don't think it will be for the Chinese market because it seems that, you know, China and the UK and stuff, doesn't really want anything. Do with you.
It's they'd rather have hands and the rest.
Hmm. So we'll have a fair few new
youth Brands launching soon. From companies that have huge
pockets. It's really funny.
You say that Rose because it seems like they're smart.
They're using Vans because actually they can actually put things in those vans. Where's yours?
Do you like a beauty currently fit watch?
So. Well, the quite pragmatic people
will will be interesting to see is, if this federal government comes up with this Fringe benefit tax rules, all of a sudden before Trading. Even consider anything but
dudes. But if it's on electric stuff
and it's electric vans that are available over Utes, you'd see 40% of the fleet currently is business like business purchases. So if they're incentivized to do
this stuff, all that switch over straight away if the accountant tells and that's what they've got to do.
That's what they'll do. You know, all this sort of stuff
around Australian love you. It's which, yes, they do.
But that's going to change very quickly.
So they'll be Utes available. They will be a A lot of the Vans
and other things that we coming out.
So yeah. Interesting to see how that sort
of pans out. Absolutely nothing.
I think that would be really, really cool.
We're going to be watch this space with that because I think people are going to realize that dual-cab Utes.
Even though they're the biggest selling things in Australia, currently I just don't think they're.
I just, I just don't think we. I think we take them for
granted, as guaranteed all of these see that are used for trades towing a trailer because they can't feel anything in them. So if they, if they can get
something with a fringe benefit of like a electric van, where they don't have to pay stamp Duty, or what have you, that I'll be going to be really good. Is there is the byd fan on sale
yet. There is one that's not a very
good one at the moment. But that's, that's the scary
part about it, right? Like if they can launch the, you
their SUV here, I mean, they specialize in buses and vans and like, there's like 15 or so. Thousand buses running in
Shenzhen that are, you know, byd drivetrain, and batteries.
And I was at the Walgren plant here in Dandenong and they're already building byd, drivetrain buses for Victoria and Australia wide. So it's only a matter of time
before we get some real sort of good quality Vans and trucks from byd that they're already exporting to Europe.
I saw my first be what a today. It was a be what he s UV in
Shootin of all places. The castle, man.
And I was like, huh. There you go.
Yeah. So it's happening.
It is I wish I had known. You were going to choose open
today, but I'll get to that. Yeah, I did say I have kind of a
Honda City Hall was like, oh my God.
III. Yeah, I think so sort of the
bigger than a caddy smaller than a higher, a sort of thing.
Pretty good size for you. Mr. Prince.
Hmm. Okay.
Watch this space now. Very good.
R is very good. Good updates with you, Patrick.
Oh yes. Oh boy.
Here we go. So I obviously got the Hilux as
I previously mentioned so far, so good, but I have I've run into a few teething issues already, so Standard.
So, first thing is that the which I believe is probably when they did the windscreen for the roadworthy on the pillar, it's leaking when it rains. Hmm.
So that's not fun. I mean, trying to Silicon are
whatever, but it's been raining and has an time to cure.
So there's that and which I'm trying to get sorted.
And as well, there is an EGR leak.
So yes, there are standard. Yeah, which isn't it?
Big deal. But, you know, I want to get
that fixed. So I have already started, I
made a big list and I've already started ordering a few things so I've ordered but first things actually, I did order is, I'm waiting for a faster boat. I want to come in just to know
because if I'm just in a set of wait in the car for me just to the turbo. Cool down, good preventative,
you know, maintenance even consider and I've already ordered a a job locking plate. Just just just Like our age are
completely, but before I put that in, I'm also going to purchase a I prevent catch can so installed install that skip them two together and then, yeah.
But besides that, you know, she's just running.
All right, he's doing what a high like stars.
So I can't really complain there.
Been a pretty good on fuel. Actually, I'm in a full tank in
the last me. Two weeks.
I'll get, you know, 600 case out of it, which I'm from just normal. Stop driving.
I'm pretty happy with that, then.
Yeah. It's he needs a good detail.
It needs a proper. Good clean.
Just don't have time and I'm a bit lazy with her as well.
I just can't be bothered because I'm like, why do I spend all this time and effort into a year to mention?
You get dirty again, which I'm pulling my hair out and but funny enough trying to find like hard leads or even tub liners.
Because I don't have, I just have the Bear open tab at the back. What if you wouldn't think it's
a mission for a Hilux? But what a mission, it is to
find one. Ha ha ha.
What a mission like and it's a no since the 06 and 70 early model, like it was there's like billions of them in Australia and you can't find them. You can't you find an 80s or the
pre-facelift 2012 ones, which of course doesn't fit my tub.
For some reason, you don't find earlier model ones at all.
Whatsoever of called a trick. Is that don't have in Facebook,
no group tax. No, it's not about a top liner
and I'm like, what's going on? Yeah, I'm funny.
I reckon I can't find a retinol. I reckon one with the tubs, I
can pull the liner out, they just they don't exist.
And to me that's it's scary because it's a Hilux.
It's not like it's, you know, something exotic or, you know, an older school school Japanese. It's a Hilux there.
They're everywhere. Everywhere.
You look you see eyes. I'm just, I don't know what to
do at this point. I mean, just keep walking, but
yeah, I'm struggling to find a hard lid.
Oh my God, I don't want to keep the tub in the back forever.
Yeah. And you know, even just a tub
liner so would you put a canopy on?
See that I think are people that have spoken to me about that.
This is a wanted to put a canopy, but if I wanted that kind of like that cool canopy survive on Mars.
What was going on in Su otherwise?
It was called like an 80 series instead, you know, that's, that's how I think, at least. I like the youth with the trach,
I love the versatility with it and down the track.
I might, I definitely want to put it, definitely put a real, the tub, and put a tray on it. It's just when I can be bothered
to and probably later on, but yeah, definitely arm and as well as putting a kind of p on the top makes it harder, I do have a few friends with canopy setups and is a hard to reach stuff in and out of So like there is of accessibility of just be able to just open the lid up. Describe what I want, Chuck,
what I need. And yeah, I think that there's
the start personally. I think the styling looks better
with it. I'm not a big fan of the canopy
especially some of the ARB ones look absolutely horrendous because you pulled the roof line.
He goes flat flat and then you've got this massive hump in the back. Nothing.
It just to me, it just looks ugly, but yeah, I'm just on a mission and I'm Why I am, but I guess I am Scavenging for probably the most common vehicle in Australia.
Hard leads. And not it's not even technical.
But yeah, my Turbo time I am a job.
Blanking plate, should be soon arriving soon.
And then soon as they come I'll order the arm catch-can for us.
So but besides that, ya gotta know which is 20.almost
mechanics. They put a catch can on a diesel
even though they're illegal because they say it prolongs, Their lives. Like, it's like that in a and
you're blocking off the EGR, like it actually makes them reliable, which it does, and I, and it's, it's I mean, seven days. All got to do with emissions,
but yeah, like just just those basic things.
Like, if I'll cut that, God knows how long this like is me happening. I'll call her Culpo, just leave
and go on, but they'd be in the back of my head and knowing that I can do something to prevent it and just pop it completely on my, you know, I just might as well just do it.
At least then I can Have a clear mind you know the car's not going to over he'll cry. A lot of carbon buildup.
Just go back to the catch can and I'll recirculate it or dump it or you know they don't have to you know that.
Yeah, happy days. So we could get that sorted and
then I can start, you know, then I off of that is when I'll be more comfortable, start getting my roof rack, I'll spotlights.
So I just want to get this, make sure it's mechanically protected and Sound. And then I'll be able to because
God knows how much it will cost to rebuild one of those or knock on would never come go get that done.
We want to consider. These are not meatiest, not fun.
Not fun. Yeah, definitely kind of for it,
that's for sure, and I can kiss goodbye to that Sylvia for everyone. It's always so do what I can.
Now, do do a little bits here and there, and then save me a whole bunch of headache later on.
I reckon go. I agree.
Princess plant. Along plan on The Supremes just
talk about to turn in that half. There's a bend and antique shop
into tonight, which is up near Castle.
Mine with this. The front half of a Honda City
looking like its burst out of the shop basically.
And it's literally a have cabinets are funny.
Well, it's almost a third cut because it's really a first two-thirds of it is sticking out into the street, so I reckon I've been sent that image. I reckon 20 Times by people that
are real. Look at this year's the shop,
multiple people will finally up here.
Last weekend, we went into the shop and the guy said on, can I help you? And I said, oh actually, I said,
I'm after some bits from a Honda City, and he smiled, and he said, I really said, and I showed him the picture of the red, one that I've got at the moment and had a chat to him.
And he said, yeah, we'll look, he said, you know, if it's Swapping the B /. He said that skousen I'm never
going anywhere. Again he said if you want to
swap the bits over that you've got on to this one and take the good bits, you said that's fine, do it.
So I might be making the trip up to shooting in the next little while hopefully to as over a couple of hits because there's a number of the main thing is that body, molding the passenger door, the at some stage someone has got into the into it and that it's actually got a metal backing plate to it and that's rusted. So it's walked the whole the
whole strip and really the rest, the cows come up Coming up so well it really just attracts from them, the whole look of it really but also noticed the steering wheel is not cracked so I've got a cracked steering wheel so why did it?
But he's not going to need the steering wheel because I can't drive. It's only got two wheels.
Yeah, so I thought well that's great.
I mean I don't even mind painful for some of the bits if it's going to help me out but if I can swap them, just with the B.
I've got that be brilliant. So yeah, I'm surprised you
didn't send me the photo man because make it a 22 or 23.
Got I've got the tires for the city now just Organizing to get them fitted properly tomorrow. Hopefully and then a few more
bits and pieces, but I think I'll take that cat a class in Japan on the 4th of December. The I saw the Civic wagon the
other day to. That's the Body Works coming on
that few repairs have been done to it.
It's sort of sitting in the back Workshop of that corner of his workshop and he said, you know, I want it straight away.
I said, no, that's fine. Don't have any way to put it in
the moment. So it's quite happy there
undercover and out of the way, but he's actually moving along and in between jobs when he's got An hour or so.
We will do a bit to it and do it until it here, and they're sort of things. So, that's slowly coming along
or news from the international correspondent.
My son-in-law Sean picked up a new card a day.
So he's replaced the focus go. Sure, if you're listening, go to
replace the focus with a Kia. Cee'd GT or very rare here as
our friend little sarong from Custom plates will Will attest to. She's got a white one more now,
he's got a white one in Scotland as well.
So, yeah, he's very happy with it so far.
So that'll be interesting to see some more photos and get to drive it when I'm over there next year, they're good car.
Felt like those. Yeah, Yeah.
By all accounts. They're, they're pretty good
very rare here, as I said, but the seed was actually sold over their station wagon. A fort 5-door hatch and so there
are a lot more common. He said to me in a message
earlier today, he thought it would have floor, mats doesn't have floor mats. He said, you know, I'll never
get. Yeah, I'll have to go and try to
get some aftermarket ones. I said if you looked at eBay and
Tim and savory messages back here, we are brand new Kia, cee'd GT. Yeah.
If you won't stop for Max, you know, 50 Quid or something.
So yeah. So then be interesting to see
how that goes, but he does like a sporty car so he's been wanting to get something with it, more sporting prowess than a folk busy Tech from about It has a night.
So yeah, moving moving on. I think that's everything from
me. Yep.
That'll do got done a little bit.
Feel like I wasted the whole day, though.
Trying to do this in one thing on our 31, my goodness.
But I got the air flow meter. Put that on and I sent you the
video of it idling like a boss. Yeah, beautiful means thickly
and I really want to stay the two-dollar coin or the twenty cent coin on its Edge on the top of the engine Michael.
All right, I think yes. So that's eiling pretty good.
I have to do some minor adjustments, just with the idler screw on there too to get it right because when it was messing up I was fiddling with the idler.
Screw quite a bit to get it, right?
So I'll have to fix that up. At some point, I just get that,
right? But I leave the screwdriver
sitting in the car. So, if I ever need to, I can
just whip it out and adjust it on the Fly.
Then I thought that I'd have a look at the casting rods, the ones that I got that came with the super pro bushes on it.
I thought I could do a straight swap, but then when I had to look at my the rods actually look better condition.
So I thought I'd just swap over, put the bushes on there because that was, that was It easy, you know, there's a bolt there, take that straight off so I'll do that.
So I had a look at it. Okay, that looks looks pretty
simple. Doesn't look too tricky and see
the bolts on need to move to remove.
So I took it off didn't need that much of a bashing or anything. Put the new bushes on go to put
that on and if you know one end of your God it's got two bolts.
Yeah, go down. Wouldn't line back up.
This is not lining up and I like Have a look at all bullshit.
Obviously, it's all smushed and completely destroyed and then you want to think. I'm like, this is ridiculous.
I how am I meant to get this on? I can't bend that back.
So I had a look at the top, it's got this one big, long bolt.
I can't remember what part it is, but it's attached to the suspension. I was removing that and I
thought maybe that might give me enough leverage to move it over.
That didn't work. All that did was just mess up
the suspension, more and popped it all the way up.
And then of course, a huge. I couldn't get the huge long
bolt packing. I like this is ridiculous.
I got like a crowbar in there and trying to pull it down to get the suspension to go down. I tried just with a scissor jack
jacking up the suspension. Put some white back, on it
again, that side didn't work. This is a joke, easy fix.
Just remove the sway bar link. And the whole thing just drops,
I was like, oh my God, I didn't think it would just put that much pressure on there as it did.
Like, ridiculous amount of pressure I thought it must had to mean something else, but no, that was pretty much it.
So sway bar link. Got that long bolt back.
In and then easy adjustment, got the two bolts straight in.
Did that up. And then put weight back onto
the suspension, which lifts it all the way up, which means I could get to sway bar, link bolts, and all that back in.
Again, did the other side and about 20 minutes, ha ha ha.
The first side was like, I reckon a good three hours and then the other side yet, 20 minutes done dusted.
I look to the sway bar, links. I look easy to change.
I can do that. That'll be piece of cake.
I was going to do the sway bar mounts at the same time.
I thought. Yeah, she got a knock out.
Both of them. Not just time to do though.
That's stupid suspension well. Now, you know Scotty.
Yeah, you know, yeah. If I ever have to do it again,
it's a piece of cake. So if anyone's like, oh, the
bolts don't line up, I'll tell them sway bar link.
Take that off piece of cake because I'm really just sort it will go straight in. Anyway, at least that's all
done. The old ones were.
Yeah. Pretty squished and cuts and
pretty wrecked. I'm just picking one sitting on
the floor. Many profanity.
He's saying why won't this go ahead?
Wow. Hey much.
Yeah, I'm trying to leave are trying to leave it down to and looks like you're getting good Headway to get the bolt in but is brought forward. So it goes down to the level but
has brought forward so I can't get the huge bolt back in.
What kind of need to push it back?
I was absolutely cracking it. That's very kind of stuff.
You can't say in class, buddy? Yeah, yeah.
No, they won't get it anyway. You know, really just took from
that. What a fabulous words smooshed
is. Yeah.
Totally descriptive. And totally understand exactly
what you mean about. That is pushing.
Yeah, it's grass. I think we need to bring those
far more ease of an actual than that.
It's being Liz. Listen you get here on on
Carter. Absolutely.
Absolutely something for everybody.
That's only for everybody. And actually, while I was under
the car notice, you know, with your radiator.
It's got two little bits underneath.
That will sit in like, little holes on the bottom.
Yeah. The one on the right actually
wasn't in the whole properly. Yeah, means the radio is on the
radiator. Was on a bit of an angle.
So yeah, I was like, interesting thing to adjust.
Got anything to? Yes, I fix that.
That was that, was it easy? Do that.
That was simple hurting. You the working around that
because I already put a new radiator in a while back.
So that was the easy fix that. Probably didn't really solve
much of an issue, but to know that that's fixed, it's getting it good because you know what's good?
You've got 26 days now. I know that's a yeah. 26 is
almost like he's got a tow truck.
Yeah well we can make that happen.
Scotty. We can We can speak to Eddie's,
he's gonna he's got a car trailer.
We can we can take it to see his his mechanic and get it.
Get it passed and get it on a club permit and and off, you go Scotty. Yeah.
I don't know what else much to do.
That's really left on it. I think I've pretty much done
much. I'm just going to hopefully, I
can keep those Wheels. If you remember, I was talking
about where it kind of just rubs.
Only just you can just hear it robbing, okay?
If I could just knock, Of about a mill.
All it is like the stupid metal bracket thing is just to stop you from having your rims pushed all the way on and hitting the colour-pop. Okay.
Yeah. It's not structural or anything
and it's thick anyway so what's a mill going to do?
Yeah, nothing that's all it needs.
Shave that off and it'll be right as rain and then I don't need the spaces anymore. Fix the rim, that'll be easy fix
actually can't see. There's a small hairline crack
which I was talking about last time so Dad will fix that for me in there. That would fix it easily, and I
can just rub it back, clean up a bit and good to go.
Do you have the original? You're altering.
The tires. I got original Wheels, but
definitely not roadworthy times. Right?
Okay. Let's go and see, that's your
fallback position just put. Yeah, that's that's what that's
what I was going to do. I mean this Skinny skinny tires
so they would be dirt-cheap anyway.
Yeah there's some Bob Jang specials.
Yeah, that's what I want. People being rain win, run.
I think it is when run seen that one.
Yeah, that's what you got to have and treat someone with the C63 AMG running win runs. That's what that's what you want
to be running on performance Vehicles because you can't get the tires. Correct.
You know, they just smoking them up.
I'm sure it's all good but this is gonna be putting them on the on the model 3 Performance and he's gonna be still smashing everybody man. Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
You know I'm saying for, you know if acoustic treatment by Mitchell and let's put these on and see if we can last him because I got think quarter of what a Michelin Pilot Sport 4S does and interestingly enough in Europe, some of the cars that You know performance cars that you get here, come with vin runs as standard. No way.
So they've got like, you know different.
What are the different stud patterns and other things in the tires for winter tires. So apparently Chinese know how
to do winter tires really good. So, anyways, that's where things
are at. So, yeah, Chuck someone runs on
Scotty and just before We move on to the, you know, now DJ and his updates which we do care about Scotty house that Imports business, because Patrick before we started, wanted to know what the games all about. What's going on?
Scotty? Those Chef Imports?
Yes. If the genes can be imported
more County. Important wants to go, you still
could but there's not really anything good left.
Mmm, now, Patrick I was not, you know, I don't like it but buying locally just buying one you're better off buying locally, you'll find something that's good at the same price that it would be if you got one from from Japan, not many pop up anymore. And if they do, they're pretty
rundown. And if one were actually does
pop up, it will be like a perfect condition.
Worth a ton, don't I'll be messaging of a messaging app or any mailing a few companies. And I think that Jay specs was
one, and I think it was on ship. I'm pretty sure.
No looking back now. We'll see.
Ya, not even one even import am now not what they said.
Yeah. No.
We're, they stopped my just so obvious, but Skyline super is all that stuff. They've completely just stopped
in putting him. Have you tried looking bar
direct Imports? This?
Very good over there. Yeah, it's like, it's what we're
gonna do with me from Japan. Just passed the campbeltown in
Sydney, my cousin, I don't know. Over some like wish.com better
off just buying just buying one already even if it just a Japanese import yell or even just an Australian delivery model. Yeah, that's what you're better
off. I don't know what it's like
importing from New Zealand or anything.
I'm sure they got here. Yeah, to be fair I have seen a
few like I'm Marketplace in New Zealand.
But I don't know what's the rules or anything.
No, I don't know. I'm not sure who you can import
them from or anything. When it comes to New Zealand,
not quite sure. But yeah, Howard just wouldn't
bother with Japan anymore. The ship sailed.
All you're not with anything with anything night is really nothing left. Nothing.
Good will keep an eye out. Anyway, Patrick was great.
I know the process. Yeah the come down.
Like I've seen a few popping up for 30, which is good and they'll mock is no other because I was thinking there's no way in hell. Someone's going to actually
spend fifty fifty thousand on it as 15 like this roller rolling show. Remember, yeah, there's no way
but it looks like there is some common sense or maybe the markets just changing. So yeah.
I'll as interest rates are going up.
Yeah. That's true.
That's true. We just sent us some with an RPG
from SWAP 75k, so we'll keep an eye out for ya.
Three Patrick, you know? Appreciate it, thanks with.
We're doing it with the community, my of those real quick got the fiesta than the first inspection.
That was quite funny because when I went to pick it up, it was an older gentleman there. He was lovely guy and, and these
are what's, you know, like automatic picking up the fiestas, I can Let's go. Let's go get any walk me out to
my car and we just kept walking past it on my car, my cousin.
He's like he's like isn't this your car?
He punted and escapes. I got, I'm like, now is the
fiercest, like I was gonna put you in a scale.
You imagine if I send you in the wrong car, it was really apologetic and I felt bad because you look pretty stressed and he and I felt bad because like that that actual dealership is getting renovated. So so like that having to work
out there, having to work like in the in the workshop.
And so but we had a good laugh about it and I drove a Ford Puma St line. Interesting car it's is I mean
it's based off a fiercer but no heated seats, but massage seats instead which I found really, really weird.
And then massage, it was quite relaxing.
Actually, I had it on almost all the way to work on the way back and so so yeah, that was that was, that was fine.
And I got a tryout with the Bang & Olufsen sound system, would have actually sound In my car. And to be honest with you, it
was handed a bit tinny. So I was like, you know what,
I'm happy, not having that in mind, which was a little bit of support. I try to, but I'll just adjust
the treble, the base and tried to make it sound as good as possible. And I just was like, I mean, I
had a lot more base because it's go Factory some Bandits and that's that did sound good but the speaker's didn't really blow me away. So I was like whatever that's
fine. I was glad to see the end of
that. When I got my first the back
then the next step, then the next day I took it back to get the ceramic coat reapplied to the Attend, all good, come up mint. So I'm now officially back in
protected, back in the game, back in the fiesta.
So that's that's a good thing there.
Other car updates I've always admired you for service.
So I'm going to drop that off either or Friday or Monday depending on you can let me know what they say is, it's free.
But that will get done and that is virtually it on my end gentlemen. Now, speaking of fiestas you
guys, If you guys ordering I'm the group tonight, I kind of put it on a few things about it, but Ford has officially announced the fiesta after 47 years, is no longer for this world, really, really kind of sad. It's I'll saying I was saying to
a few people. I'm like, I don't really have a
yearn to yearning to buy anything for related after this like that's that's it. They've gone for this and we're
going an electric electrification route, which is fine. Which.
Yep. That's, that's totally cool.
But they could have had any Like a Annie Fiesta Orpheus to e or you know like you're something like that because it is still a very good seller has it was the number one seller in the UK for like the last. I think it was 10 years and the
only reason I dropped out was last year because of because of shortages and the Ford Puma, pretty much took its place.
So I thought I thought was a bit of a weird move that Ford's just completely discontinued all passenger cars, essentially, just going straight to SUVs and you know, the Mustang essentially, even it even in Europe, so, I was a little bit disappointed. I just didn't really know what
to say about it. And yeah, just kind of a kind of
a little bit annoyed because, you know, it was for two, I've got a bit of a history of getting rid of like famous name plates, like Falcon, and stuff, after a certain amount of time, and that's pedigree to a brand, I think.
And, and I think having that, that history behind behind a nameplate in a brand, that's been synonymous with cars that are for the people cheap for the people that had been that a reliable and works. Work.
It's a bit of a bit of a disappointing, kind of end to what. In other words is always been a
really, really good little car. So one of the your thoughts
gentleman is Ford mad for getting rid of the fiesta name plates. Or is this basically a good idea
in for what they're going with with the electric puma and stuff? Taking its place.
This mean you're Fiesta is now a hundred thousand dollar Fiesta.
Yeah, I'm going to put it up for sale now a hundred thousand dollars firm firm. No no office.
Please. No, dry.
Rot is no tire kickers. I know what I got.
I know what I got. It's all about money Medi.
I think they can the market for an SUV.
Whether it's petrichor electric is so much bigger than it is for a small five-door hatchback with to three-door or five-door hatch. Now, I mean it's it's just a,
it's a trend in the market and the money is not being made in small batches anymore. Yeah.
Those you're right. From what I've heard they were
saying the Ford was losing money on virtually every fear so that was selling. So which is really hard to think
we're after that long and they have any depth made that they're actually losing money on each one.
I'll get it doesn't seem to make sense, it sounds like an excuse to me but absolutely, I agree. But but yeah I if people were
still buying them in droves then they be.
But even when you think even small you know like you see real estate agents and even District nursing cars around Melbourne and stuff. That they're actually you know,
they're not little hatches anymore.
They're often entire deck owner or there, what does source of Sonic's the other day keas tonic?
So it's all that sort of little bit higher riding little bit better viewing traffic or and a perception of safety I suppose rather than a smaller car. Yeah so I mean the the as a
market Trend if they're just on the decline Lee.
That's and that's would be where forwards?
Ford put heads at lot sponge, it just on that one, David, I think in Australia, though. It's I know we traditionally
haven't really been big on hatchbacks and and other things and I said it really well sort of Serratos in the rest, the accent when it was around. It's you know that that entry
sort of small hat segment. Now, sort of dominated by the mg
3, so the world because nobody wanted to play in that.
And that's that's what's a bit sad about it.
I recent not as many sort of was saying that why couldn't they do an Equation, which I think would be great because you already have the Fiesta ST Fiesta TV or whatever they want to call it.
In in UK, or in Europe, Volkswagens about the ID3 and they sell quite a lot of them, you know, Ford had an opportunity, but I think as David's you're sort of saying that, you know, they've sort of moved past that but they're not doing that much better in the SUV range either.
So it's, yeah, I think it's a lost opportunity.
Maybe they just for the media Buzz, they said they'll kill it, but then they'll bring it back as something else.
Hmm, But I haven't come across anything that they're sort of planning on working on at the moment.
And that's just a little bit disappointed because it is an icon. Yeah, it is an icon, especially
in the UK and in Europe in general, it's very much an icon.
It's a very loved car there. I sent I don't like a little
video that Ford made about you. Goodbye to the fiesta which was
actually a little bit sad. It was very sad to me is, but
the car was replacing with in the garage open at the end of the thing, was it was a pure electric and I'm like, what Puma is based off of a Fiesta chassis so that that really negates that argument because it's a say it's virtually the same underpinning accept higher and a different different bodies like that.
So I was like well if they can make a pure electric they surely they can do a fiesta electric version of that if that if that's the thing they're going for but But from what I've read, like their plans to change up the cologne, plant, just make it a completely Electric Plant. Hence, the reason why getting
rid of fiestas, probably the big move for him.
I think, which is again, it's quite sad for for a first name plate of 47 years to just be good by its, it is sad.
Sorry now, go go, go. I was just going to say I
suppose it's interesting to do if you look at The other injury nameplates, I mean Corolla and Civic immediately come to mind.
Correct, sounds cars. Have grown from from what was a
small car to be out? Nearly double the size car.
Now basically the fiesta hasn't really done that.
It sort of stayed is a small car really hasn't.
It is still hasn't I don't think there's anything in Europe that's smaller than if that's always been there.
Small car and remained that way. Hasn't it the had the car okay a
trip. Yes.
I distinctly remember forgetting about those?
Yes, with go with for good reason, um, but it never sold like the fiesta. I'd like the fiercest of gang
bosses so and always did in UK. So yeah, it's it is it is, it is
sad. It is very sad, just thinking
the difference in that in that the crawler and the Civic named clay, you know they've developed markets as a as the cars grown sort of thing. So it's a bigger car although
now, of course, scroll across the chest been released.
That's going to go. Absolutely crazy.
I'm sure. The maybe the fact that for
didn't grow, it sort of develop it as a model that I just remained that same sort of model, maybe that's something there's something in that. I don't know.
Yeah, it's interesting because like, when Ford got the Puma like back in the late 90s, I think it was the original Puma.
It was based off the fiesta and then that died and in the Festa kept going. And then the new one was based
off the fiesta. But now the fiercest died and
that was kept down and that one's continue continuing to go.
So I think that they said, oh well because they're basing different things off. It was a different.
It's a different body, shell SUV jacked up, higher, Etc.
I just think it's, you know, if it's a car that defined as Sigma Force, especially in Europe, for a very, very long time, and you're right, they didn't really grow it, they didn't really push it, it just kind of stayed what it was but to be fair.
It's did so well, you know, it's the first time out of the top 10 in I think since it's been introduced which was last year because they just couldn't they just couldn't get the part.
Tell him because the Puma is made in Romania, not made in Germany. So they had access to a to, to
better armed and better things. But it's just, it just kind of,
really, really, yeah, it's a sad to Bittersweet moment because I want a lot of the fears those pages on Facebook, and everyone saying, now, my cars with my and I'm like, no, it shouldn't.
You shouldn't think about it that way?
It's a car that you should, you should really enjoy to kind of tend to be driven, you know, it's like when, when the Falcon and Amador has got got you know announced that they will no longer everyone's like oh and now my cars with double the price because of X y&z I'm like that doesn't work that way.
Yes, I really hope that doesn't happen.
The business supposed to be an attainable fun car.
You know, it's a terrible performance and attainable enjoyment so we'll see. It's so interesting like, you
know, some of the points that were raised around the traditional cars like the Honda Civics and Crow laws or the world grown in size last week, something.
Interesting happen and how this is how brands are evolving, right? We know Lotus for what Lotus is.
And they've just announced basically ripped everything up that they're ever stood for and come up with a Lotus Altair.
This is just it's a fastest dual motor SUV that you can sort of get I think the top-of-the-range thing is like 2.9 seconds or
whatever they therefore not they 02:00.
So they say that you know, dual motor because the model X plaid is like 20, 21, 22 and a half seconds.
Whatever it is, but they've sort of, you know, they've never really made a fight broke out as far as I know.
But this thing is like everything that they don't stand for and it's sort of reminded me of Porsche and there what the Cayenne meant for the brand and how it's sort of you know the myth is it saved the brand that such.
So this is where, you know, brands are making drastic changes to stand out. But Ford is big enough to be
able to Take some losses to keep their Heritage and I think GM.
Would bastardize all of it a lot worse than what Ford would.
I'm sure Ford has a plan of backup or something because Europe has been traditionally been a big market for them and if they want to compete in Europe they've got to have all different types of vehicles. So I'm hopeful, I think, watch
this space. They would be Think to replace
that, you have the fiesta. As such it may not be called a
fiesta, but it would be a natural sort of evolution.
It's just like the Festiva was no longer around.
So yeah, you never know. I'm optimistic.
Oh man, I also think falls on a dumb car company like that that they've got, they've got their heads, kind of Switched on.
And and I know that I think in Europe by 2030, you can only sell electric cars are from from what I can when I read.
So all, you know, non combustion.
Even so basically, you know, they're making the tough calls now to kind of see them out into the future because not many other car companies are completely shutting up shop in a comes to when it comes to the internal combustion.
So yeah, again, watch this space and we'll see it and we'll see how it will see how they go. Because I mean Ford's proven
time and time again to be kind of like, you know, like they've got a bit of a brain so they're not going to exactly just fall behind by the wayside there. There you are thinking ahead or
there. It could be a gamble that
they're doing but I think I think they're doing the right thing but I just think killing off a an important name plate and car that they could have. They could have adapted
especially with with another with the with the Puma E.
I think it's just it's a little bit disappointing.
But anyway, moving on gentleman to, to the main discussion for the Sunil. Last week, we talked about
things about new cars that we don't like this week.
I was Talk about things in Canton, new cars that we actually do. Like, yeah, we had quite an
extensive list and click have going on for another two hours like that last week. It was, it was it sounded like
what we all deserve to being model T's.
Because our young whippersnappers, with all their heated seats is, they were elements of that for sure, but but there are elements of new cars that I kind of do like.
And, and for me, one of the biggest ones is safety like, you know, in if you have a crowd, like, I remember being An accident in an old XF Falcon years ago and we felt the massive bro. We got a hit on the backside,
really hard and the car looks fine.
It was totally fine. It had a crack Bible but we
would put will quite hurt and of being in an accident in a more modern car. Yeah.
You feel you feel the brand but I didn't feel it.
Anywheres near as bad and and the car the car was mounted because it was its modern cars are made to crash.
So they meant them in to keep the they're made to keep documents say I think you know just just remembering from that.
I think, you know, it's it's incredible house, how fast safety is coming and you know I think there's I think ours was premature as safe as it going to get.
They've got every form of safety technology in them.
Unless the whole cars wrapped in like, you know, bubble wrap, I don't think it's going to get any more safer than then what they are. So I think in terms of in terms
of, in terms of what new cars offer that old cars don't like that whole safety kind of, you know, Airbags and Brake distribution. And whatever, what have you?
It's, it's a crumple zones. I think that is come so far and
it's so, you know, well, thought out and, and in a, in in 2022, I think it's, you know, arguably the most important thing about new cars, Especially small cars. Absolutely.
Now you you wouldn't expect it and these small cars are fantastic. Yep.
No know if people are still drawn to big cars and things like that expecting, they're safer.
But no, these little hatchbacks in that are just too safe if not most people. Yep.
My Fierce is going to 5-star safety rating lookin like in the current and well yeah it's the the European equivalent the the Cap as well. I think it's got the full, the
full fire. The full five stars and and
that's a tiny car. You know what?
You can capacitor to what other cars are these days.
But it's like 20 years ago, a small car would note nowhere near be as safe as like as of. You'd always say I'll be back
I'll be way safer but now like smaller cars you're right Scotty they're definitely safe it's and and that evolution of safety and rates going. You know, boss with ABS ESP, all
of those things were really good for their time and now all cars have them pretty much all new cars but it's where things are going with this stuff. Like it's there's there's
obviously Volvo has been known for their safety features and and what they offer, and it's exciting to see what the future of safety looks like for its the active stuff.
It's the data driven. Stuff.
It's about the car knowing. I've been in this type of Crash
before in this city and this is what I did and that's the sort of level that has laws that now where they know like the car knows what's happened like autopilot taking over when people are merging in or about to crash into you predicting what's going to happen the active safety and it's always getting better to a stage now where, you know, we've A lot of potholes within the next six months.
All Tesla's will be able to detect potholes and talk to each other and know where there's one coming and avoid it.
Now that is, you know, like you know what can happen in a pothole with when things are like this is just one element of where things are going and I feel that this technology all of it can be adopted by a lot of Manufacturers especially as we get into connected cars, most new cars now.
Now are getting that way especially some of the luxury stuff to BMW. The role was of the world so
it's going to get a lot better and on the things that are getting better or the things that we love about cars, I think simplifying of how information is displayed on people's infotainment systems and and the That is going to play a bigger role like I think in the next two to three years, most new cars we leave the Run Google's. You know, Apple carplay or
Android auto that's what's going to happen with most infotainment systems. It will just run it natively,
Polestar does that already, you've got Google in built and it is pretty cool. Like it's probably the second
best infotainment system that I can think of BMWs.
To have a huge lead in that space, but they've lost it all now with Google having that in built and that's sort of the future of infotainment systems. I think we're going to see more
and more like apple wants to play in that in a big way.
So those experiences are going to get better because cons as consumers, we all have smartphones and we love the way.
You know, things are set up on there and how simple it is.
That's what's going to happen in cars as well.
Yeah, yeah, I agree with you. Think back in the 80s and 90s
where you have like for you for your info time of War For Your Entertainment. I guess you'd have like a
million buttons for your equalizer and stuff, which is so cool. Like it.
I'm not gonna lie. It's very cool.
But you know now it's like you're having a couple like two or three buttons Max you know and it makes everything simple keep again that whole safety premise behind behind everything that they do know because like car companies are so focused on safety, you know, just, you know, you got Three touch buttons, bang, bang, bang your their physical buttons.
You can press ok, stop change, music go back, change the mode to change station, whatever it is, you know, and it's and must becomes muscle memory. Again, bring it in, on emphasis
on that son, that safety aspect of things.
I think it, I think it's brilliant and it's funny like, most I'm doing if I'm doing a fair, few cars and some someone in cars me ticular, their home brew like, you know, Entertainment Systems a horrendously bad but like You you plug in your phone with Android auto.
Apple carplay and it works seamlessly, and it works better than the car companies could ever do.
So it s interesting this to know that pole Stars, kind of just adopted said, well, we may as well use it straight straight away. Now, you know, so that that II
agree with that. I think that's something that's
really cool thing. I'm going to throw in a
shout-out to reverse cameras. Yeah, that was mine.
I was going to get in on that, I'll sorry baby.
That's okay. Great minds, think alike.
That was one of the criteria. So I've bought one of the
tiniest cars. It's about two and a half feet
long and made sure it had a reverse camera because I have a tardis like garage that requires far more cars to be put in it than it should ever have. And I can reverse that baby into
within a centimeter. I recognized the car behind it.
Now with that thing out of the car 14 times, it's brilliant.
I big fan of reverse cameras. I think they are incredibly
incredibly good, especially how clear they are these days.
But I also, I think of made some people not bother to look at them, and I my Fiesta, but that's another story, but I agree with you. I agree with you David.
I think, reverse cameras are fantastic.
Different. Definitely a good thing.
I remember, do you guys remember the full territory ad?
When the territory first came out and and it was the, you cannot the lady was driving the car, you could only see, you can only see like the like the bridge of your nose down and she's like, all you left something behind the car again and it was just as like having it the whole idea was having eyes in the back of your head so you can and really really good thing to have in a car these days and as for those are birds like a I mean more and more cars coming out with those now we
will sort of black Magics that how do they eat I just get them but they breathe. They are the 360 cameras are and
if done well, in a car, it's awesome.
Like the way the Volvo's and pole stars, do them are really, really cool, like that's easy too easy.
Even the at 03, It's the byd at blows my mind like it's got a really good 360 system which I'm thinking, geez, you would pay twice as much in most cars to get that.
So they're getting two more and more affordable cars.
But yeah, very cool stuff. That's sort of the evolution of
the reverse can do you think something like that would end up in the aftermarket? Sector or is it just too much to
it to be able to get someone to install something on a normal car? Without it in the first place?
I think personally the to what what's the word?
The the calibration of that would be super hard to get writing like like as an aftermarket Steam.
That was like, you know, like you seem like, B yd R is like, like, they've got him built but because of our deeded, into the car, ready to go. Yeah, and I think that that's,
you know, we've obviously got the reverse camera stuff that you can buy and as after markets and yeah, just just on that aftermarket stuff. One thing I think really cool
that sort of changed over the years and I've never had to you look at head units since I was driving a 98, Hyundai Excel.
But I mean I've just heard like Alpine, Stuff have come a long way with enabling Android auto and apple carplay in the whole lot of other things like how they've evolved with time and bringing that to, you know, classic cars and other fans that you can have similar sort of safety features with Bluetooth connectivity. And all of that in a car that
was never designed for it. So that's that's, you know, it's
great to see those companies making cars safer.
Yeah, I agree. Good friend of mine and we front
of the show's come on. It's going many times, mr.
Adam Grasso. Shout out to you my dude.
He's got a VJ charger and he didn't want to damage the look of his dashboard. So he put it bought a Bluetooth
you know I think was Pioneer JVC head unit.
Pops it in his glove box. You would you wouldn't tell like
I know any and he made her work so he's like you know I can I can I've got my little remote. I just changed my mind.
Yeah, my music and stuff like that.
I don't even have to open the glove box as you know the infrared Works quite well and and he's like was the best thing you did. You know, he really upgraded his
car and And you for not a lot of money and you know kids are all looking everything is like it's I can make it look Tucker, take it out and no one would ever know it was there.
And yeah, I'm a big, big fan of entertainment.
I think it's a, I think it's really good and I did that to my laser rezai. I put a aftermarket head unit
in. I've got like a appointed
doubled in screen with Android or Apple carplay.
I put a reverse camera in it. I didn't I didn't need a reverse
camera but I was like on me as well.
Yeah, I can speak clearly on the phone if I get a phone call.
It's yeah, I can park in real tight spaces, just two sided with the reverse camera, you know.
I think I think modern cars, having all our technology, a standard makes makes a hell of a journey.
I think Patrick might be struggling with his, with his Hilux, with, with that actually Nassif.
Thank God, I don't have any of that.
Thank God, the previous owner install, the Sony, Apple carplay unit with the reverse camera because all my gosh, that is yeah. I thought my pocket and I mean I
driving the fat when I had the Falcon the Maslin it had none of that. Always rely on my marriage
sounds pretty good. Ha Kyle bought, you know once
again to a big you know it changes everything he'd know that for sure. What does your Patrick has
anyone else without reverse cameras, right?
Your reverse parking. Do you open your driver side
door and just look back up? I still do it.
Especially as I put my mirror, my passenger-side mirror all the way down so I can see the curb so I don't don't.
Don't don't wreck my wheels said.
I want to be in that parking spot like same amount.
I want to be in there. Perfect beside are on one side.
I want to be perfect, which is annoying, because you fix it a few times. This.
But you just want to get in there.
Perfect. Well, I think it's totally worth
it though. When you look back you like,
damn, I'm a good Parker and it's like you like, who days?
Reverse carrots. Yeah, I just open the door and
just look back and reverse it back.
Interesting fact. Yeah.
The BMW M3, when you put into reverse the passenger, mirror goes all the way down for you. Dips.
The mirror automatically. Yep.
It's a automatically for you. What are your is that car?
That was in the E46 M3 s. All right.
Yeah. Well I don't think it can be
enabled in the settings but you got to find it sometimes it's not immediately obvious but it's that.
Yeah, that's a great feature. Patrick any features that you
love and you guys over new cars. You know what?
I think this is one, I think is pretty.
Um, it's very small, but for me at least know, our new event at work. The highest was having nothing
to Lifesaver the blind spot recognition on the side mirrors.
Hmm, to me, but I know it's something like I still end up breaking my neck and doing ahead, checking everything.
But I think just having that little thing that they've just been so many times where like, you know I've been driving and then you know, without having me know if I'm doing, especially if I'm doing a long drive around too long, whatever.
Myself you're making in Thailand, dozing off into the middle, right? I do notice, I'm steering away.
But then that thing will go off from, I mean that there's a card in X-Men. Oh my God.
Shit got up for myself. So I think that's definitely
100% one feature. I'm glad they've implemented.
It just comes down to Matt's first point, you know, safety day. So I think in a car like Waiting
in Vain like that, we you've got so much of the vehicle.
You cannot see adults on the side.
I think that's where that really comes into its own.
And I think, I think that's a really good.
Feature. Because obviously you've got two
windows in the van because it's, you know, it's except on the on the back whereas in like modern hatchbacks are going to modernize the three where it should be, should have a plenty of glue. We're taking those threes again
from last week but you know, you can't even do a head check because you can't see nothing out of a car.
But on a day like totally agree, really?
Really, really good feature. Another one.
I really, really, like, is Magnetic Ride Control.
So, a lot of high-end performance cars.
Have got magnetic suspension, So, like, like you Corvettes and stuff like that and and apparently, they and even some of the haters be stuff that we had had and you can adjust it to be firm for a racetrack and comfortable as anything on on your normal rows. And I think that's like, that's
what kind of sorcery is this. But this is, it's incredible.
The, the technology in Magnetic Ride Control that you get with with a lot of You know suspension anyway because like it gives you the best of both worlds.
So you don't have to, you don't have to like, you know, break your back over every single bump.
And but if you want to fill it up for a race track or a nice ride, you can Patrick. I know you got to go man andras
as well. You guys are both gonna head
off. Will speak to you guys soon
because I know panto resist on the office and Patrick you to go, get your mom but I will talk to you guys later.
I know the thing, you boys, take it easy, guys, see ya.
So yeah, I think Magnetic Ride Control.
These are really, really Cool, cool feature.
Anything else on your side gents?
I did speak to my wife who I always run the topic past and she said heated seats. Hmm.
Yeah, not something that it's fell.
Well, they're probably around 15 years now.
I suppose 20 the first car is well, Accord Euros, had them in the luxury spec. When they came out in 2003 3,
But yeah, if you haven't had them, you want them.
And if you've had if you have them I don't think people can live without them especially the ladies in our lives.
Hi the heated seat in as you know, is the sharing of called Euro long time ago and and the heated seats always going to work out and everything locked in my car, my God, I miss this heated seats. And then when I got the fiesta
had heated seats was like what? Yeah this is this.
Don't commit. Any other feature that the car
is going to hit? It's it's yeah, it's like your
soul back. It is good for you.
Interestingly, though, we actually hired a car in the UK, a few years ago, it was a cash buyer.
Think it was or an extract was innocent of some degree, but it was a bite, you know, fairly base cabinet.
Had a panoramic roof and fabric seats and it had heated front and rear seats. Which was and with fabric seats
was the perfect combination. I reckon.
I don't know any car that you can order with fabric and heated seats in Australia. It's always as it seems with
leather seats and in some of the really hot and sticky and then in Winter, they really cold until their head up, but I never quite understood why? It was a white why we couldn't
have have fabricated seats. But anyway, yeah, it's like can
solve your answer. My Fiestas got a and because the
the center bit, where it where it's where it's got, the elements is old Fabric and and the boss is a like a, like a synthetic leather all leather further, they call it since this killer is what they think is, right?
I love coming up with new names, right?
I mean, goes back to mb-tex Days, stay but State, then it became Yo I think Antico or something but BMW had said sutekh for a while in some of their cars which was vital as is the faux leather is usually final topic.
Further there you go. Vegan friendly goes.
Oh sorry this is gone. He could fill us in with the
background of vegan leather in Tesla's to question for next week. Yes, it will allow if that will
have to ask him. Another cool feature that I
wanted to give a shout out to was like the remote start functions and stuff that you can do from your phone and stuff as well. So you can like you can on some
some Modern cars and you can unlock it, unlock it, you can and it tells you the GPS tracking automatically on there.
You can heat, you can hit up the interior, cool interior.
Before you get, before you get to your car.
And I think that's, you know, that's kind of a nice, little little. Modern-day feature more to go
wrong, but a nice little modern day.
Tell me when you remotely started, does the car remain locked. Yes, yes.
Okay so it doesn't block until you actually get close enough with the chicken reached the doorway.
Okay. Well that would make sense beep
you're pretty silly. I suppose the casting at the
street running and open. But really for someone to jump
in, I think you'd have a good fight with your insurance company over that, and it gets all the hell you great question II, I was warming it up, that's right.
But dialed my phone and started it Yeah, I completely agree with you there. Any other ones gentlemen, before
we move on. I reckon.
Auto-leveling headlights. Mmm, I like that for other cars.
Have it that way. When they coming towards me, I
don't get blinded and I don't think that they're high beaming and flashing me. Yeah, yep, good point.
Yeah, certainly welcome their much Kinder on the eyes than the old halogens as well. LED lights and auto-leveling,
it's just it's a lot nicer. You're not dazzled as you used
to be completely agree. I know with a get back to
Monica, it's got like Matrix LED headlights so like you know, it'll Can it can but it can some of the LED elements can turn off so blocks off the road. So you're not blocking your
oncoming traffic and can can hike an I-beam one part of the road and I was going that was going to be one of my things to say, like headlight technology. I think it's come such a long
way from just your standard, you said, a halogen bulb now too.
To some fantastic lights. Do like order headlights at Auto
wipe is for that matter. Not that I can't turn my head
lights on or turn them off. The biggest problem is auto
headlights, is that you see a lot more cars?
These days getting around with no lights on at night because they the instrument cluster is already illuminated as part whenever you turn the car on. So you get in at night turn the
car on the, in the old days, boys used to be that in sterilized didn't come on till you turn the lights on.
Um, I'm going to car physically but because they're already illuminated I think that's the thing in the last 5-10 years.
They've been far more cars. Getting around at night without
lights on for that reason. I think people don't if they
haven't got automatic lights they don't know to turn them on.
Sometimes I blame Lexus for that from the LS400 dashwood was off to turn the car and they will all lit up Sir Alexis to.
It's your fault. Any other ones gents.
It's a very small thing, but I do like a lane change function on the indicators at something. They didn't used to have but
just just activating the indicators to change lanes, that's a very. Is that where you press it down
just a little bit. Yeah and it flashes five times.
Yeah. Without You release that and it
just flashes five times and then turns off, it's a bit of a pain.
If you had a car with that. Okay.
Love my last few have had it in my bike and he's got it, but it's, it's very handy when we are rather than having to cancel, it can't. You turn it on, click event, and
click it to turn it off. It's just a small thing, but I
do find that pretty handy whenever I use it, I think not.
Okay, just got back my last ones, head-up displays I think head-up displays on Modern cars is actually really, really good.
Absolutely keeps your eyes. Right against the whole safety
premise behind behind him. But it tells you most most
bonds, tell you where to turn speed revs gears.
You like everything. It's yeah, I've been in a few
minor cars. Have got it.
And I think they're fantastic. I think they know one of the one
of the best things to to have been brought in.
Thanks to you. I believe it was in essence,
Bluebird. Back in the day.
There was the first car to have it from memory.
Police have it. Yep, to bless ya.
So so see. It's not, it's not always the
Mercedes S-Class that that brings.
It's good for jet fighters. One on our cars, completely
agree, completely right? And he lost Ones guys.
Before we get into the quiz, all raised a lot like last week there's a lot to not like but there is a lot to like, about new cars of us. Say, I'm in Bluetooth.
This is a great thing. If you know, people say should
be, you know, talking on the phone while you're driving anyway, but if you got a passenger, I don't see using Bluetooth as any different to talk to a passenger.
Sakura and I must say, I do one of the things I like about the and one is that it has that function.
So if I'm on a club run or something that I've organized, and I know people are going to text and sand or ring or something texting, you've got a collider anyway but if they ring you know you can actually give them directions or help them out if there's a problem or something like that.
So yeah that has to be one of the one of the best Innovations to go hand-in-hand with mobile phones.
I suppose. A requirement completely agree
with you there on that one Scotty, he lost ones.
I think we pretty much covered that I could think of as, but I'd imagine if I sat a bit longer come out some other little bits and pieces, but I think by just you starting off with just the safety part, you know, that covers a hell of a lot of things that just make new cars.
So much better, not completely, completely agree.
I think it's I think I think as a car companies are so Be conscious now and they have to be and for good reason.
So I had to have all these all these, you know, these great Innovations and and to be honestly most of the time, they're Flawless. Like they work really really
well and they've been tested to make sure that they work in all the sorts of conditions. So it's actually really good.
Good to see that I can do a little F1 Spiel for any people that are getting into F1 and want to know some news.
Yes go for it but I've just learned myself so for me.
Le 1. We know that there's some other
companies joining Audi and Porsche want to join in, that's not till 2026 in 2026. There's going to be new engines.
And we all know how they've gotten rather quiet very muffled, very quiet directly. The interesting thing is that
all comes from the NG uh system and the mg UK system mg uh system. Uses the turbo itself to create
that extra energy for the power unit.
That is incredibly complex and will never trickled down into normal, ordinary cars whatsoever and that's going to be completely scrapped. So how come that I'll bring you
some. So what were these while he's
completely coming in for is just because they've been very problematic, they go through quite a few units each season in Formula one's and very unreliable.
Very very complicated to get it to work.
So that is being scrapped and that system quite ins down, the whole engine itself. Quite a bit produces.
Some good power but quite ins down quite a lot.
The other system mg K uses the breaking So it uses that loss energy in the friction, I think. Maybe the exhaust gases to uses
that as well and from memory that is being scrapped.
Also okay. Well now so they're going back
to basics essentially. In a way.
Yes. Still hybrid though.
Okay. All right.
Santa not getting rid of the hybrid still got that energy that they're using. So maybe a different form of mg
UK to help create that energy and that extra push from the height whole hybrid system. So they're not scrapping hybrid
that keeping that because it's a good system, it works its innovative and that's why a lot of these companies like out in that want to get into formula one's and why Honda is most likely coming back to formula once.
Right is because of the whole hybrid system, so, don't expect to see v10s or anything coming back.
They'll stay V6 turbocharged hybrids.
But by getting rid of this system that will make them louder, but it will lose power, which means to make them louder.
They're going to rev a lot higher.
Now, at the moment, I think they rev to about 12,000 RPM anything after that, then Noticing much power increase, which means they have to do something a bit more with the fuel itself, so they can rev a lot harder and look at efficiency ways that way instead they're not getting rid of petrol or anything like that to stain that. But they're going to use petrol
well normal fuels in different kind of ways similar to what Porsches looking at with their synthetic.
So pretty much zero carbon emissions from this synthetic.
The fuel that we a lot better that goes through it but are there might be an instance where they're allowed to have a bit more, so then they can Revel lot harder and still create that same amount of power. That's I think close to 1,000
horsepower. Would they have to go bigger
turbo? Then 242 to make them efficient?
Probably not. Okay.
No. They still pretty good when it
comes to the Boost. Yeah.
But that means if they got a reveler higher which they can easily, I mean there's a Limit on it that they have to abide by but they rev way higher than that up to like eighteen nineteen thousand RPM easily because they're so small just might us like, to point something l or smaller.
I think, even from memories very, very small V6 the turbos huge enough on the back anyway, so that's what will be coming in in 2026 new Jurors new engines manufacturers, which will be great as well. Yeah, and getting rid of that
problematic system that causes a lot of drummers and penalties, because if you got to change that unit, you only get a several certain amount that you can change for the season.
And if you go over that you get penalties.
So group penalties. So a lot of people get grid
penalty for changing an engine and they end up going all the way you know they lose like 15 positions, 10 15 positions and move all the way to the back. Okay.
It'll be good to see him to come back as like as a factory back team as well. If they'll to do on the team
that'll be that'll be see. I've Got a Feeling they'll
probably stick with Red Bull because Porsche are going to go with Red Bull anymore. They've pulled out of that, the
moat the engine that red wall running.
Anyway, at the moment is pretty much Honda.
Yeah, at the Japanese Grand Prix, they had, they put a Honda sticker back on the car, again, Japanese fun, but yeah, Red Bull have been continually developing it but if you bring it all the way back, it's Honda. And it's won a championship.
He won a couple last race. Yeah, yeah.
That's right. So you won that Championship.
Pretty pretty easily but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Exactly. Ferrari.
Not looking at anybody, I think Ferrari needs a new strategists, really. That's I don't know, there's so
many races where they should have been further up there and at least at least come close to winning the Constructors Championship. At least.
Because Ferrari was always up there, but race day not very good in Mexico, not very good and reliable.
And it all, to be honest, we're not very good in Mexico, but Lewis Hamilton back up there from Mercedes still, not really good runner. He keeps pushing and pushing
nothing like last season, and season before like Nation.
Yeah, yeah I'm not sure what. I'm, not sure what it is.
It just doesn't have the pace. That the Red Bull does.
Does the Red Bulls got it all around everywhere Flatout Pace top end speed and just the handling abilities and I think we all know that no Danny wrecked.
Mmm. Yeah, that is so cool because
I'm he had a drive that he didn't have a driving.
There was no, he definitely doesn't have a driver.
He said he's taking a year off, but I don't know if he's going to get back into a seat at that. I don't think so.
He could sometime down the track but not in a championship car.
Yeah. Like there's no way he's going
to win a world championship if he does, I will eat my hat.
But yeah there's no way he's getting too old.
Now the young comers you know Lando Norris Leclerc, still verstappen still as well. They're all just so much quicker
and it's unfortunate that McLaren didn't adapt the car around him. You know, it's the McLaren's got
these characteristics that he's not used to and McLaren are like, no, these are the characteristics that are McLaren cars. Have always had and they keeping
it that way. Well, he was the last person to
win from a clone. So I just think they kind of
didn't move it. Dirty honestly.
Well, he should have stayed. You should've stayed at Renault
that became what are they called?
This year-round, Al pain is what it is, what he should of they cause a nice complete. They were happy to That the car
around him but he left and gonna McLaren and it was not a very good choice but in the long run if it comes to money he's loaded. Now I'm out quite a bit McLaren.
That's payment quite a bit when you log ads.
He's going to yeah it's these the extra funds.
That's right. That's right.
But yeah interesting watch this space as we seriously rumor that the Honda engines are L will run on Red Bull.
I don't know. Well, there you go.
Well, flasher words the top know what are they doing?
So, well, you heard of, I mean, reliability.
They've been fantastic as well. And the various was a David.
Well, it's a Honda. They say, I didn't say I didn't
use all the time, dominating. It just goes, Show how easy it
changes. Mmm, one minute you're on top
and just destroying it next season, all of a sudden, you your backwards on the back foot, just like that.
So, just development and and time and stuff that that car companies can do these days. Just like you.
They just insane when you when you, when you got the money you can shave though those tenths of a second half a lap and then it would be amazing to see what these companies could do.
If there was no, if there was unlimited money, obviously we all heard about Red Bull, the salary cap.
But you know, imagine if there was no salary cap how fast and all that development, they can actually We use unlimited wind tunnel time. These cars would be absolutely
phenomenal, then it just makes it unfair and all the other teams Williams. Ha State have no hope.
Hmm, well what's the c22 was? He said, 26 yes, you very
interesting to see if I'm looking forward to a V8 actually next year. Supercars the next year, will be
the Camaro and the new Mustang running.
Yes, yeah. Correct.
Like I think the clear gen3 is, as in three.
Yeah, that'll be a bit more. They still sound.
Fantastic leader, which is good. Yeah.
Could you bring up the sequential like manual as well?
And I can't Flappy paddles. Yeah, and I think from what I've
heard the drivers prefer the sequential box like that, it just makes it more fun than you know, more engaging to drive.
Yeah, I think that was the whole point with V8 Supercars really was meant to be a bit rough around the edges.
You know, they're not GT3 cars that, I think that's why they didn't want to go to the Flappy paddles and things like that.
Because now you're leaning towards GT3 cars.
Yeah, great. They're just as quick pretty
much so Yeah, close to close to I V8 Supercars.
I think have a better top speed definitely because there's less Arrow but around the corner. So gt3s have got it hands down
easy but that's just all comes down to the arrow.
Liked GT3. Cars are crazy amount of error
on those to keep them stuck to the road and it just hurts top speed but I think that's everything on Motorsport 24 hour. The 12-hour I thirst is back
with International cars compared to this here where it was a little bit are because it was just all the same cars getting around. Still waiting to have Bentley's
going to rock up. So what do you want?
Bentley a bit of a bit of a favorite down Mount Panorama because it sounds like an absolute Beast.
Yeah, they'll be out there with this champagne glass over there.
Goes to Italy again. Yeah and they're pretty good GT3
cup. It's a jolly good car.
Charlie good car. Jolly good cat.
So be good to see other cars than just Audi.
Yeah that's all that was out there 12-hour race Audis and Porsches hmm. So I want some Lambos and some
Ferraris and hopefully gdr gets back out there, good to see.
Anyway time for the quiz will get into it, genuine 10 questions, plus some bonus questions, you know the rules, let's get into a buzz in. With your name, question 1, the
word other Lon as in Toyotas Avalon means what.
Oh, David Beach North of Sydney. Based of the city is not
correct. We have with the Avalon airport
but it's not the sort of sleeping out there.
I think everyone was out before the airport was built, but you know, Scotty is, I'm not quite sure.
No, it is the mythical Island. Where King Arthur's sword rests
is what we just think at all. The Brian Terry fans out there.
Dreaming of the podcast right now.
How does not live up to that name.
Hahaha choice of a Carla. Has question in what country is
still on sale in until the end of this year?
Oh my goodness, really for sale. It's obviously a newer version
of the Avalon. It's not, that's not the same
ugly duckling we had here for years but it's a It is still a country. Yes.
What country still sells a car called the Avalon, which is still a sedan V6. It's still hot.
David David is it? The US of a, the you a
surveyors? Correct.
There you go. Speaking of the US, I was at
work on Sunday and I know if you guys know who cleared is McFarland is but it is like a character, it is a character on YouTube and he's into cars, but Please apologize, real time he's playing this, get this guy and he's is all about, you know, lorica and and bald eagles and freedom.
So we are talking about Cletus McFarlane had at work and I'll speak with Karen you you know, Scotty and we'll and she's like, I can't say he's an idiot and I learned, I think it's funny.
I think I think it's just I think it's an idiot.
That's why I think it's funny. And I'm like because I'm like
because he always does freedom America.
Anyway, as soon as I'm saying, as soon as I'm saying that a guy, what a guy comes to Destiny's American.
Oh my God, I'm just completely just like.
I was like, I have to help me, geez.
I'm really, really shot myself in the foot with that one.
But anyway, moving on. Question 2.
What car one Wheels car of the year in 1979?
Oh, David David none. None is correct over.
There was a trick question. It was the lemon year?
No. Car want it?
That's right. Food were outraged.
They were outraged because the XD fukin supposed to be the comeback car and it didn't happen and I great advertising campaign based around. You remember that, do you
probably don't because it was before you were born.
It was the next month. They rented a whole page Ed
sometime. Sometimes being a redhead that
had a lemon with, for little little wheels on it.
So and it was something on the line.
I have sometimes being a lemon is necessary, experience at all and it listed all the other runner-up to carry the year for that, you know, some pretty exotic stuff.
I can't know what was listed, but all the cars and haven't quite made, it all the finalists in The Last sort of couple of years will listed sandwich. Some as I said, we're pretty
nice cars. So yeah, they were like, well,
you know, we also doesn't always have a, we answers to everything today. I suppose that was very
controversial for for the magazine at a time.
I mean I came to the conclusion that they couldn't get into the into the XD fukin because it can break in the door handles because it was very common in those but they couldn't test it.
Disturbs the question 3 which famous actor.
Worked the night shift at the dagenham plant in Essex.
In the UK building Ford Fiestas before he got famous.
He's a very famous actor. Obviously British actor, he was
working the night shift at the dominant plant in Essex building Ford Fiestas. Mmm.
A big kiss. I have a guess go for it.
Is it Daniel crate? Then you're crazy Incorrect and
correct. Hmm he's a massive cargo.
I put it this way so the might do might give you a hint How-to show about cars as well. That sure.
Yeah. Like you're gonna serve Rowan
Atkinson, incorrect. It was Idris Elba.
It was. Oba is the, he is a massive car
guy. He worked at the Ford plant.
Building Ford Fiestas over not. Have you ever seen the movie
made in dagenham? No.
Oh you should you should look that up.
It's very period. It's I think it's based in the
60s and it's all about All the unions and the influence of the women who work there at the plant.
It's really good. There's some great, you know,
great outfits, and great cars and all sort of set in debt, in the dagenham plant in the 60s. I'm going to look, I'm writing
that down me. He could be the next James Bond
to. I've heard you could.
When you were saying about Daniel Craig, I'm like, well, if I say anything that might give it away, it would, I would have nailed it then. Yeah.
Driving and all sorts of things and really pushed himself too because it cause he showed his love of cars.
Was definitely definitely worth a watch bonus question, speaking of fiestas, it became the most sold car in what part of the world are title, which it still holds till today.
So it's got The UK, the UK is absolutely correct.
Scotty bonus, you know, I'll, I'll tell you it was there sold four point. Eight million cars, 4.8 million
fiestas in the UK, bonus. Question, bonus.
Bonus question, what cars? Came second and third to the
fiesta. Hmm, Scott Scott, there's a
focus up there. It was in the top 10, but not in
the Tardis. That's all.
You've got one more guess because obviously, oh my God, you've got the diggers to this to to choose from.
I will say the Corolla curl is incorrect, mr.
Perkins, you've got three guesses.
They .58 for the way. We have to go something like the
Vauxhall Astra up there. But not not what we're after.
That's why also okay. You came.
You came just trying to think what they were thousands of over there. Oh.
Citron sex. Those haven't been around that
long divide that long there are lots of Citron sex.
Those now no idea. So no points.
Could I maybe say a Volkswagen Golf top there but it's not in its doesn't doesn't have anywhere near the numbers.
They these cars have the quote, the Ford Cortina, and the Ford Escort where the thinking tune, you then the into do.
They switch is quite incredible that they because those two cars have been in production for a A long time?
Yeah, I'll tell you the exact numbers actually.
Give me one moment. We just get that warm back up.
So Ford Fiesta 4.8 million Ford Cortina, 4.3 million Ford Escort
4.1 million Vauxhall Astra 3.1 million Vauxhall, Corsa, 2.3
million, Focus to select two million Volkswagen Golf, 1.4
million bucks, with Kimberly 1.2 million, mini 1.78 million, and
BMW 3-Series Transit your top 10.
At one point five million. What's a huge dip.
Curren. That's a massive difference.
That's that's how much they love the fiesta there.
And now they're killing it doesn't.
Well question for the American j.d. power reliability survey
which they do every single year, do you guys, we would have heard about surveys car brands and and found what brand had the most and what Brent had the least amount of problems per 100 cars.
So. So I'll ask you for the first
because it's because the bonus questions for the were.
So what had, what car What car brand had?
The least problems per 100 cars. What year are you talking 2022
that the county through the current JD Power survey?
Okay, I'm not sure if this right.
I'll have a guest have again was Lexus for many years.
It was Lexus for many years but it's incorrect looks now, not Lexus me unfortunately, mr. Scotty you but you got to be
surprised what I tell you. Ho ho Volvo is also incorrect it
was Kia. Okay.
Yeah. Kia is the top of the the rank
for their. So Kia, Buick surprisingly s how
you indict? Toyota Lexus Porsche Dodge,
Cadillac, Chevrolet, mini Mazda. I don't know how many go up
there. Lincoln Mitsubishi BMW Ford GM
C. So, that's their above average
above industry average, right? And then you've got below
industry. Average, what is for the bonus
question? What is the worst rated brand
problems per hundred Vehicles? Can I ask is that brand sold in
Australia? It is yes, G.
Incorrect. I was going to say that about my
other, guess I'll say now, is Volkswagen incorrect.
They are in the bottom quartile, but it's Land Rover.
And, of course, they have per hundred cars 284 issues, per per 100 cars, that's insane. Because and to put in
perspective, kiai has got 145, the national average.
Is 192. So there you go.
Quick question 5. So score check gentleman, Scotty
one. David on to question five
according to the u.s. statistics.
What percentage of Ferraris were purchased by men.
I'll give a closest to Scott Scott.
I'm gonna say it's going to be like 98% natio percents of Scotty David? Well I'll say 75 75.
The answer is 93.6% of Ferrari. Purchases are men.
There you go, buddy. I found this really cool.
I would have thought it would be higher as just I don't know, I just men go for Ferrari. It's a what do they say
compensation? Is that kind of what what they
what they say because I'll have to send you.
This infographic is fantastic. It's got its got a whole bunch
of really cool. Statistics about that question
6. So school, take 20 question, 6.
What was the first-ever four-wheel drive to feature?
An automatic transmission 4x4, featuring a property, like a proper 4x4, featuring an automatic transmission obvious, don't know the answer. I'll say the Right driver?
Ranger of is incorrect distance. I will say, I'm gonna say
Mercedes incorrect. It was the Jeep.
Wagoneer was the first. Okay.
Yeah. First four wheeler fifties
fifties or sixties. I'm yours for proper.
Proper fool drives with an automatic transmission.
Question 7, the Subaru bromby or bright as it was known.
Elsewhere was never sold in. What country it was sold in what
country I'm going to guess Japan.
Japan is correct. It never it was never solved.
Never sold in a tall tree. That's just bizarre enough.
That there'd be some reason. It's very weird.
It's funny though. Because like, you know how we
had great importance there Graham Port is a car they built, they shipped it out and shoot back.
There is quite a big following for them over there.
Like they they are really sweet. After their question eight, what
engine size in L? Does the current Suzuki Swift
Sport have David David, the sport could be one or two.
I think it's a 1.4 1.1 is absolutely correct.
Mr. Principal do this. Should I would have got that
wrong. Anyway, that's not 1.6 question.
That was the previous one. They had the screaming 1.6,
naturally. Aspirated good engine engine.
Which the Jets I think that this is not the new one, the new one booster jet correct? Yes, teacher.
Question 9. In what year did we see the
first iteration of Nissan's are be series of engines?
It's got he's got your name all over again.
In what year did we see the first iteration?
So the first version of an R&B listen engine.
What year? I'll tell you what it will give
you a decade, guys. It was the 80s.
So I knew that and I think exact, okay, I am going to say 8686 is incorrect. David prints for the steal.
Can I do a steel? Can I say 84-84 is incorrect.
It was in the middle. 8585 was, was the?
Let's go to. You still not out of it, because
there's a bonus question to this.
Mom bonus question. That engine.
The first came out in what two cars.
I'll give you a point for each if you get them right.
Okay, Scott. It's gosh buzzing in So you've
got what it come out in 31. Yes, that's one of them.
Absolutely, that's one point, shit.
It's always the other one. It first appeared in these two
can these two cars? 31.
And I'm not sure if they had this car out yet the digital this fire inside out. Yeah, incorrect incorrect.
The prince will be a guess. But was that the gazelle?
It wasn't a gazelle. It was the Fair Lady 200 ZR.
Z 31. I can t go Chris.
Let's go check Scotty on three Dave enough for final question.
Scotty can either tie it up or it skin?
It is so close quiz tonight. Gentlemen question, 10.
If an engine is described as over Square, what does that mean? I was clear.
David David. It means the bore is longer than
this bigger than the stroke. Yes.
The its cylinders have a greater bore diameter than its stroke.
Absolutely. Well done.
That gives you the win. Nice footwork.
Also basically, I'd over Square engine allows for more and larger valves in the head, of a cylinder.
Allowing, you know, high up higher RPMs, whereas an undersquare engine is less than 1 Point 1.
Sorry then it's got a longer stroke, then it's ball.
So it doesn't need to read as hard because it's got more.
Yeah, we go. So score check gentlemen.
Scotty on three mr. David princess tonight?
We're not on five. Well done.
Thank you. Good question.
Thank you. They were some fantastic
questions. I like some of those are really
good. I've seen some of the statistics
once I like that. Yeah, well, I found this really
Cool. Little infographic.
And it was like I did not expect that.
Like I read you, some of the stats from it because it's actually, it's actually quite good.
But basically I'm going to give all my critters open to find this week. Basically, it takes
approximately a male 63 days to make a purchase.
Whereas it was a female 75 days to make a purchase males prefer youd luxury, European Brands, whereas age, whereas Asians, whereas women prefer prepared, yes, Asian on luxury Brands, they prefer it. Women prefer in their cars
durability, dependability safety and affordability.
Whereas men value interior layout exterior, styling technology and ruggedness men tend to be more image-conscious.
This is probably as a proper statistics said that have been researched and researched, whereas women find to be more utility minded. Hence, the reason why is my
Subaru Market, all this stuff to two women top brands for men.
Can you guess what? The top 10 brands for men are,
guys. If you guys Can get stopped
three. I'll give you, I'll give you.
I'll give you a bonus point in the next week.
Does this include does this include like, you know, supercars? Absolutely.
Absolutely. So it's it's the percentage of
buyers, right? So if you guess what they are,
I'll get all be a happy man. Well one big Lamborghini
incorrect. Oh Lamborghini, didn't even make
the top ten. Wow, this Ferrari Ferrari is
number one. Yep, 93.6% bars.
Yeah and I did number one, number one, Ferraris number one, followed by one else, would men go for this?
Like a will be American cars to. Yeah.
This is America everything. But I tell you what, the the
first three cars European Brands.
Okay, so not okay, so cross them off Porsche, it's three eighty, eighty point. Three percent of Sighs woman.
What are some men buying? They're buying out?
He's out, he's not in top 10 most hearty was number two.
Eighty four point, four percent of buyers are men.
Number four was James C5. Jaguar had six Dodge 7, Land
Rover, V8, Ford Chevy was nine and hum up was 10 which I promised Ali. Yeah.
Well in terms of like yeah, there there are there buyers to bring Simon Minnie was number one, Ikea second, Honda third Missin, Missin 45.5, Subaru, 45 a Suzuki Hyundai Mercury Mazda
and Mitsubishi was your rounds out your top ten.
Okay, interesting, basically, and probably one of them, one of the most interesting thing in America one, put there are currently 1.4 million more women with licenses than men.
We really with driving with drums lost.
Absolutely. Sixty-two percent of women, buy
all new car by all of the new cars and sold in the US and 85%.
Her car buying decisions are made by women.
So, so in other words, you're told what to buy gentlemen, there's a cool statistics. I like the whole course of 15
grand more for car insurance than their female counterparts over the course of their lifetime.
Why? Because we get into more
accidents and have a high chance of DUIs.
Yeah, makes sense makes sense. I'll send this infographic to
you guys. You you'll have a hell of a good
giggle going through it, but it's pretty cool stats.

picturing this mythical on with all the old Toyota or eons with that with, you know, string hats on the back pasture shop.
And let's say that tissue box as well, tissue box is just driving around everywhere. King of King Arthur doesn't
doesn't have a horse. He's gonna, he's gonna I thought
all the people driving the Avalon's, trying to find directions to find King. Arthur soil, mechanics, shop to
pick up, something to become a spare part and and he was a, he was changing a motor and a novel on, and he's like, to be this other line, even with a blown motor, would still be wrecking like He's to drag this old devil and he had his as he's company car. Like he's staff had like v-y
Commodores and he's like this, Avalon with a blown motor was too weak to overtake him. He's like, he's a boring as hell
to drive, but my god, did it go. I last night.
I couldn't. I could help a lot, but he told
me that story. But anyway, gentleman, David
