After going missing, the hosts clear the air: the podcast was on hiatus and is returning in summer 2026. They also explain why they couldn’t record face-to-face, then share that they spent the last 48 hours together in an MX-5. The comeback is teased with a focus on an MX-5 build for the first two episodes, though they keep the exact details deliberately vague. Along the way, they debate Swiss tap water quality and where hotel water actually comes from.

The Mazda MX-5 is a small, lightweight roadster. It’s known for being fun to drive because it’s not heavy and it’s set up to feel responsive.
The Mazda MX-5 (often called the Miata in the U.S.) is a lightweight, front-engine, rear-wheel-drive roadster built around driver feel. Its small size and simple layout make it a popular choice for enthusiasts who like to drive rather than just ride.

Do you drink tap water in London?
Not from the sink, I don't know.
I drink it from the...
I've got a filter in the kitchen.
Are you joking?
I don't go in my toilet and drink the toilet water.
I had water out of a tap!
Is it from the mains or from some tank in the hotel?
No wonder you had a bloody buggy.
It's Switzerland. I had water from the tap.
I think...
Swiss tap water quality.
I mean, I do agree.
Swiss bathroom water?
It does smell like it's bathroom.
It's literally come from the tank in the bloody hotel.
Tap water in Switzerland is of exceptionally high quality.
Safe to drink directly from the tap in almost all locations.
It's primarily sourced from groundwater and lakes,
requiring minimal treatment.
Alright.
So...
If it's that good, then why is there a bottle of water in that fridge?
Well, let's not get into it.
I feel like we said, like, see you next week!
Did we?
And then we just disappeared.
Was that in January?
I think that was in so very...
We came up with a plan
and forgot to tell you all about it.
Yeah.
So, yeah, this is genuinely an apology
because I think we just disappeared on you all
and that wasn't our intention.
People kept saying, what's happening with the podcast?
Don't you know?
Like, we told you.
We didn't.
We forgot.
We're on a hiatus.
We're going to be back.
Do not worry.
We are returning.
A lot of people are like, is the podcast dead?
Absolutely not.
We love the podcast.
We absolutely adore doing the show.
But in the last year,
life basically just got in the way, didn't it?
Both of our work and personal lives
changed in the sense that it meant
it was very difficult for us to get together
consistently each week.
I'm a bit panicked on the fact that I think
we have to be in the same room to record episodes.
A lot of other automated podcasts do things remotely.
Yeah.
For me, that's not the vibe.
You don't like that, do you?
I don't like it, man.
I don't particularly like it either
because internet dropouts and...
Yeah, awkward pauses and you speak over each other.
Anyways, I just prefer doing this a face to face.
But we were really struggling for most of last year
to do it face to face.
Anyway, we love it and we adore it
and we miss all of you and we miss doing this.
We have just spent the last 48 hours together
into the MX-5.
Yeah.
We're exhausted.
It really reminded us of how much we want to
bring back the show.
So we'll be back in the summer.
And the first two episodes are going to be solely
talking about an MX-5.
Yeah, probably.
I know that sounds a little bit vague,
but it's purposefully said because there is a build.
Something's happening.
Taking place.
And we don't have a finite completion date.
Yeah.
That's what I'm going to say.
But we're not going to tell you what's being built
because that could be anything.
Could be anything.
Could be a castle.
That'd be great.
A pine the glass castle.
Live shows will be returning and...
Patreon will be returning.
Oh.
So those of you that are keen to get involved,
lots to come.
So basically, hold your horses.
Plenty of a back catalog to go listen to.
There were, I think, nearly 500 episodes on this
YouTube channel.
Unbelievable, really.
Over the years, there's probably more than that
audio only.
Some of you watch.
Some of you listen.
So hopefully enough episodes for you to go and
enjoy whilst we're off air.
But yeah, do not fear.
We're coming back.
It's not dead.
We're just on an extended hiatus.
We thought we'd let you know because we thought we had.
Anyway, we'll see you in the summer.
Goodbye.
See you.
