It's been a while. We have.

So what's happening with Carwell?

It's the last time we heard from you.

Yeah. You pretty much sold everything.

You had nothing. So that wasn't right.

I know I never had nothing. He.

Still has commercial vehicles, doesn't he?

Well, yeah, truck. He had the truck and then and I

was, I was running for the call because I was like, oh, I know some people that can roadworthy those trucks and then.

Well, I did ring a certain establishment and then they never rang me back and then I just went whatever.

And just anyway, I, I, yes, I do still have the truck.

It is currently finished. In terms of the repairs to

roadway where I ended up taking it, they could actually do the test really quickly. So I I booked it in in a few

days. But but, but, but, but, but, but

they don't do repairs. They just do roadway inspections

and bus inspections and stuff. So so I said, well where do I go

to get the repair? She said I can recommend you to

this place in Trigonine or whatever.

Now, funnily enough, truck roadworthies are not like car roadworthies in that people around my area don't tend to do truck roadworthy. So, you know, like.

The suffering poor Ed lives in the rich part of town where they don't deal. With trucks and it was only when

I started. Duty polluting vehicle.

I started Googling truck roadways and I'm like, well, I suppose it makes sense. There's none right near me.

So I ended up finding this place in Sunshine and I went there for the inspection and then they sent me out to Truganina to get the repairs done and then I am picking it up.

When am I getting it? I don't know, tomorrow night I

think or something and I'll, I'll bring it back to that other joint to get sort of checked. So there's a bit of shuffling

going on. But look, it didn't need crazy

stuff for roadworthy. It was like, oh, you know, like

a driver's seat adjuster needed a thing and a headlight globe and a, you know, one shock absorber.

It was a few, just stuff like that screen seal.

I think the, I wasn't going to say the biggest thing.

I'd had some oil leaks which they had to fix or clean or replace some gasket or do something.

So there's been a few grand on it and at least that's regoed and roadworthy and I'll advertise it this weekend.

But yeah, the truck market is unknown.

I, I, I don't know what that, that will do, but I imagine they're 120 grand new for a business that that wants a truck that's not stuffed. It's done some KS, but it's

roadworthy and good service history.

And I'd imagine for sort of sub 20K someone would go, yeah, that's a great addition. We've just had one written off

for we need an extra driver or I imagine that's the case but hey I I might be proof wrong, I don't know.

One of those old out your hand moments I think.

Old out your hand. So the truck.

But when I took it out there, I mean the western the western suburbs and that stretch of western suburbs right out past Altona. That is all trucks.

That's nothing bad. That's just the the head offices

are out there. Like I think Isuzu truck is out

there. There's a massive Hino dealer

out there. I think I saw Volvo.

This truck repair place was out there and this that where it's being repaired. They work round the clock well,

basically till midnight and they fire fire up again at 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM, like there's two shifts.

And so in order to have trucks not off the road, you can drop it off at 7:00 at night and pick it up at midnight.

You know, it's, it's sort of crazy, but it's really necessary for that industry and. So I haven't.

Got any respect for the the trucking world?

And of course, you know, I drove it in and talked to Grant, the foreman at the back there. And I said, listen, Grant is my

Isuzu. You know, I was trying to

pretend like I'm sitting in the trucking world, and you know I was. Trying to and he's like show us

your hands mate and he's. Probably all tough and you've

driven a good nails and sort of was questioning questioning my business anyway. So but he said I said, oh, one

of these. Do you know anyone that wants

one of these? And he goes, oh, don't bet he

goes there. These are property lucid people

don't sell these Isuzu's. They just drive them into the

ground. So you know, not there's not

that many floating around sort of thing.

And he said, Oh, this nothing goes wrong with me.

He said, you'll sell that easy. And I'm like, oh, that's

positive words from Grant Orman, but we'll see.

I did sell the Iloid van that went within 24 hours after putting it on marketplace was that was a quick sale which we like. The Peugeot has been to the

panel shop and now looks a hell of a lot better.

It is going in for Roadworthy on Thursday.

A friend of ours, Maddie J, may be interested in that young Thomas. He's.

Interested in it as a daily? As a daily, you know, because

he's sort of in between dailies at the moment, and that's a good little. You got your dog a driving

licence. I know I did, yeah.

Yeah, Thomas the dog. Because imagine it was really

pause on the. I did take.

That a friend of ours to a friend of yours.

And Maddie's not more correct. Correct.

Because a friend of ours, all three of us, would be Thomas the dog. Yeah, I think.

We've lost out. Unfortunately, we've thrown it

off his face. He's completely gone.

Going to Adelaide on Friday and I'm officially getting back the Forester tomorrow. Oh, so Stephanie will be will

now be having a car that'll the Forester will be going to Stephanie. Actually, Edward's back.

We we lost you. You just looked like you were

you were in deep thought and. Yeah, thank you car with a good

retort to my my little joke. Yeah, yeah.

I'm back. I'm back back.

So we'll we'll continue with yours because we'll we'll finish with your one off 1st. So so Thomas might be interested

in in the in the little diesel little.

Peugeot, I drove that up country last weekend.

I did quite a few KS. It is such a comfortable little

country driver. And that tank I did 1128

kilometres before the light flicked on.

So amazingly economical for a 23 year old car.

Yeah. It's ridiculous.

Now I if you did pure highway in that car, I reckon you'd crack 1300, you know, if you sat on the highway to Sydney sort of thing, you know, really, really good on fuel and very comfortable seats, great suspension, good Rd manners.

I really enjoy driving that car. Anyway, that's the Peugeot.

So all I've got is the Peugeot on the truck.

Other than that, all stock is gone and I'm still going away in a few weeks so I'm not really looking for anything else until I get back maybe and then I'll I'll see what I can flip before Christmas maybe. Better nice better nice better

So Alum City's got nothing. Yeah, unfortunately.

For me, I'm heading to Adelaide on Friday and Stephanie's getting her car, which is a Subaru forest, which I used to own because my sister's going overseas to live.

So that one. So yeah, so she's moving

overseas so she's like, I don't need a car anymore.

And Stephanie's like, I'm selling this cruise like to have a bit more space than a little later.

She's she and Pam have been sharing and I'm like, yeah, I understand that. So she's going to get the forest

done and she will she won't do that.

So on its last service, it got a towing belt and a few few little just things on the cars. Perfect.

But the top radiator hose when they've put the new radiator in like that, it it blew radiator last years.

You guys can probably, probably remember the top tank cracked and then the, the radiator place came and put a radiator in it.

And what they've done is they haven't put it in properly.

And when they've put it in, put the hose too close to the fan shroud. And it's just been chewing away

at the, at the, at the, Oh no, at the hose.

And the mechanic was like, yeah, you need to kind of sort that out. So I've put another hose.

I'm going to swap that in tomorrow so it's ready to go so it doesn't blow up on the on the trip to Adelaide.

So that's the Forester. The laser had some love today.

The laser got all new tint, so looking really special.

So that was my birthday present. Thanks mom.

She's like, I'll look after you this year because every time she does the car, she's like, I plenty hate cars with bad tint, bubbling tint, bubbling tint. So I'll I'll send some photos

through to the group chat. But I got darkest legal and I

want privacy glass in the in the back end.

So, you know, keep the sleek look of the car being black.

I thought it I thought it would would would look pretty, pretty good. Actually I've got a question on

some tents. From your own experience, have

you found cars like, I'm going to say cars earlier than like 2007? The main cars that I've seen

that have like bubbly and poor tint and most of like, I'm not saying I've never seen a car that's like newer than that with poor tint. But from what I recall, there

were some changes in kind of the the like glue and other stuff they used in tint kind of during that transition period and the tint. So earlier than that, especially

those are like late 90s, early 2000s, a lot of them were a little not, not up to up to the spec, I guess you'd say.

How you're going? Yeah, yeah.

And there's also probably a lot more people that were like, I can do my tint myself. Yeah, I'm sure they're still are

these days, but yeah. Yeah, you're spot on with that.

Like my Typhoon to when I bought that, I had to get the the tint on the on the on the back window redone because I was all bubbled. Yeah, got that redone.

But when I speak to the guys there today, they're like, look, it's original tint from the car. It's pretty worn out.

It was all bubbling. It was just it was stuffed.

And he's like, it is an older glue.

It is an older film. These older films aren't as good

as the ceramic stuff they've got now and all those really fancy thing with jigs that they've that they've good.

They got so like and what I want to picked it up.

He's like, he's like, yeah, I mean, it was a pain to take off on your car because like the glue, the glue, it just was glue everywhere. Like they didn't peel nice.

Like they, they heated up. They they, they use ammonia and

all that sort of stuff to, to try and really be bringing off nice. But he's like, it just left glue

everywhere. So he's like, look, it's part of

the job. He gave me a price and he didn't

extra, he didn't charge extra for it.

He's like, well, that's the price.

I guess that's what I, that's what I quoted you.

So yeah, that all got done. I wasn't sure what to do 'cause

when I got there he, he's like, look, this is darkest legal.

And what a lot of people do now is they put darker signal on the front too, because they, that's, that's what you can do and they go privacy glass in the rear. So you know which.

Is darker. Which is darker.

Yeah, not, not by too much, a little bit it is noticeable.

But like when you're in the car, it's totally fine, 98% UV protectant and all that stuff. And I was driving at home and I

had the air conditioning on because I can't put the windows down for a few days. And I was like, jeez, this is

like, you know, I turned the air conditioning down, which is the first time I've done that in a very long time because, you know, you've actually, you can actually feel the difference, which is incredible that it's just just a film of a film of, you know, a clear film essentially is, has got that like those capabilities. So I, the guy that his name is

Joel said, yeah, he was actually really happy with the way it came out. He's like, especially being a

black car, like the, the, the you can see the photos I sent you guys in the chat actually makes it look more, more of a modern car than than what it actually is, which is kind of cool. So, yeah, happy with that.

So that's been done. What else have I done?

I think that is all I've done. I bought I bought a wireless

dongle for the Fiesta for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto 30 bucks off Amazon works great. There was like I went to

Supercheap. We sell my Supercheap.

They're like 150 bucks and 170 bucks and I'm like, oh, you're well, 70 Now. I'm like, what am I getting for

120? I'm like, I'm going to buy it

off Amazon for 30 bucks. But like it's not the same

brand. Obviously.

It's just like a El cheapo MC cheapo one, but it works.

Not an A Toto is it? No, it is.

You know the funniest parted. I don't know if you can get

contact with the the new MX5 owner.

The I told you I'm like if I have it, I'll send it to you.

I found the little middle plate for the the old CD player my my sets. Yeah, I don't think I can get in

contact. That's all right.

Maybe I'll put it. On how we bought it, I know it

went to NSW. That's as much as I know.

They gave me a laugh. I'm like, I'm lucky I didn't try

God, it's got it somewhere. I got it somewhere I had some

fun. Just another little car update

on the weekend I was in the Peugeot.

As I said, I went to my brother's place and a few years ago my brother bought There's actually a bit of a story to it.

So someone where did it come from?

Oh, it was a guy in the Honda Club had a little Gentoo Civic, like a 82, three door white hatch, manual, 5 speed, bit rough around the edges, but you know, a pretty honest car and mechanically very strong. So anyway, he donated it to the

club in our annual raffle, which was, yeah, part of the picnic.

We there's a picnic once a year at the club, you know, just to about summer barbecue. And there were two years in a

row where we gave away a car. You know, it was like Oprah

Winfrey. So you rock up to the BBQ, you

get a raffle ticket, you hell, you could be going home with a car. The first one was this Honda

Accord, early 80s, two door coupe that hadn't run for years that had done like 156 K sat on an old lady's front lawn.

Anyway, we resurrected it, got it running, gave it a Polish, you know, and we raffled off and one of the club guys ended up with it and he fixed it up and I think sold it to a friend of his and it's still on the road. So that was a good news

resurrection story. Anyway, this Civic was one of

the other ones and a guy won it, but he couldn't, he couldn't take it. His wife was like, no way,

you're having another car or something.

So I ended up buying it. I think of him.

I said, oh, look, I'll take it and I'll take it up to my brothers. And yeah, it can basically be

that, the farm car to teach the kids how to drive.

So it's been in the shed for a few years.

Battery's totally dead. Kids haven't really shown much

interest in it. But last Saturday when I was

there, my brother was out. And so I was like, yeah, should

we fire up the Civic? Maybe and and the kids are like,

yeah, yeah, let's find the Civic.

So so I jumped, started off the Peugeot and amazingly that the thing you just turn over a few times, few times and boom, coughed into life and, you know, just idled perfectly.

And you're kind of like, oh, these old Hondas are great.

Or old Japanese cars, I suppose. So, yeah.

But it's got no brakes because the brake fluid has sort of, you know, gradually seeped out and so that it needs leading.

But I was like, ah, handbrake works.

We'll be right. So my, my nephew's driving

around the paddock. I'm, I'm in the passenger seat

on the handbrake said I'll do the break.

You just avoid the tree. We're zipping around the

paddock. And he did really well.

And then my, my niece had a crack.

And so my brother comes home and he's like, hmm, no Peugeot, no Civic. What the Hell's going on?

Where are they all? We were halfway down the paddock

having fun. But whenever it got stalled by

one of the kids, of course you've got to go get the Peugeot and then jump start it again because the batch.

So dead, no charge at all. So I was like, here's very good

incentive kids not to stall it because it's a long walk back to get the get the other car anyway.

So that was fun. But I decided next weekend I, I

said to him, you know, we've, we're going to resurrect it.

We should resurrect it so they can use it.

So I've bought a battery for it, got an oil philtre, got oil, got brake fluid. So I'm going to go up next

Saturday and give it a, you know, just give it a service and do the brake, make sure it starts and the brakes work.

And then, yeah, you know, you can sort of turnkey, you know, they can, well have a little drive when they feel like it.

I mean, I think bachelors, you know, they're good fun.

They're good fun to learn in my my uncle, he's Brian, if you're listening. How you doing?

He had an old Batson Stanza and you know, he was teaching his kids to drive in, his son to drive in that.

And it ended up on the news because they had these crazy winds and the trampoline from the backyard ended up all the way in the freight and landed on the car and there was pictures of it. So he's like, I've got all these

nice cars and the body stands. The one that gets in the news.

At least it didn't hit the nice cars.

At least it hit the pad. That is true.

That is true. But yeah, I remember we, we, we

resurrected that to, to have a have a bit of fun, have a bit of fun in it. And we, we, you know, we push

started it and, and, you know, popped the clutch and off I went. And then I got to the bottom of

the hill and put my foot in the clutch and I just died.

I'm like, oh, no, I had to go. I had to walk all the way back

up the hill to go get another kind of come down to start it.

Yes. Yeah, yeah, it wasn't, it

wasn't, it wasn't a good time, but that, yeah, you just reminded me of that story, which is which is always good.

Yeah, resurrecting old cars. I love it.

Yeah, it's good fun. Anyway, gentlemen, tonight's

topic. I don't even know what the topic

is. I've got the topic for you guys.

The topic is what's worse. So today I was driving home and

I saw a bright yellow Lamborghini Urus and I'm like, and I'm like, that is a horrible vehicle.

Like I'm sorry, like I, I, I, I there is no redeeming quality.

It is basically, you know, VW. What is it a A Touaregon in

drag? Is it actually a Touare?

It's Touareg, it's Q7 or something.

It it's it's got a whole bunch of you know, it's it's KN I think underneath it as well. Yeah, you know, it's, it's all

it's all those veg group product and I I've every time I see one, I'm like they are so expensive. They are you know, they don't

really look that good. They sound OK, but like they do

absolutely 0 for me. So I was like, what else is in

that category that does 0 for me?

And what what would be the worst option out of out of you know, that or XYZ, which I'm about to tell you So for all because we normally do a what would you rather than this is what this is what is worse. So, so we've got the Lamborghini

Urus, the Rolls Royce Conan or the Bentley Bentagga, you know, 3 stupidly expensive SUV vehicles that are, that are bought by the bourgeoisie. Well, I don't even think they're

bought. I think they're mainly bought by

your local, you know who and basically you kind of statement pieces of, you know, 3/4 of $1,000,000 plus more in terms of a road car. What do you think out of those 3

is worse? Which one would you definitely

not own? I mean, I wouldn't own any of

them, but if you had, if you had to pick one to own and which would be the ones that you would be?

Definitely, Yeah. No, that's not for me.

Oh, I don't like any of them. I think, you know that.

They're all a bit silly. But the is it the Cullinan

that's the more ugly out of the Bentley and the Cullinan, or is it the Bentley that's more ugly? I'm trying to remember.

I'd say the Cullinan's more ugly in my books.

But yeah, I. Mean and the uterus just sort of

looks like a Mazda CX-8 or something like.

He does, Yeah, Really. Doesn't have any great exotica

to it. At least the Bentley and the

roles, ugly as they are, they are very imposing and you know what it is. Whereas that Urus, I sort of

feel like you could drive behind that and really take the badges off. It could be IKEA.

You know you wouldn't. You wouldn't know.

I actually think it looks really a look like the the Haval H6GT, yeah. Yeah.

But it just does, it actually does.

I, I, I drove one of those on the weekend actually.

And I'm like, this kind of looks a bit like a year.

It's sitting with a weird in a weird sort of way.

So, so Edward, would you say the Havel would sorry Havel the the EUR would be the one that you'd be like, yeah, now, oh are.

They no longer doing the W12 or the, I don't know, the Bentley I. Don't think that I don't think

it meta missions. Yeah, I think I'd, I think I

would get rid of the EUR first. As as ugly as the other two are,

I think the Euros is just, you know, you, it's just pointless.

Why? Well, I spend that money on an

SUV. It sort of doesn't.

I don't know. I.

Just I don't. Know I desire is it No it's.

The, the US has a specific point.

It's to tell the people that you own like an Aventador or something. But it's too painful to get into

because normally if you're earning this, you're, you know, 60 plus and you know, at this point it's you and your mistress. And the mistress can get in, but

it's hard to get you in and out. So you drive the US instead.

You know, it's easy on the hips. So it's true.

The the year is, you know, it's like, hey, I own Lamborghinis, just so you know, But you know, I'm too frail to get in and out, so I'm going to drive this one. Or I'm a drug dealer, which is

the second option. And I'm saying I'm a drug

dealer. I have not dealt any drugs

recently, you know, within the statute of limitation.

The statute of limitation. Allegedly.

Yeah, allegedly in Mexico because again, if you discount the Bentley's W 12 because they don't sell anymore, I believe, I think they stopped in 2020. It's got the V8.

I'm like, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with V eights, but if you're going to buy a very stupid car, at least have have like AV 12. That's Rolls Royces.

Like there's something redeeming about it.

So I'd probably knock off, I'd probably knock off the EUR first as well. Yeah, that's probably the worst

option out of the bunch. So you're knocking off the EUR,

so and and then you have both knocked off the EUR first.

Yes. Mind you, I'm just looking at

the roles. Eddie's not a pretty car.

No, it's not. It's quite vulgar.

Actually no, but. At least it's imposing, you

know, at least it's imposing. It's ugly, but it's imposing.

Whereas the Euros is just sort of nothingness.

Yeah, so. Yeah, I'll get rid of the EUR

first. EUR OK.

So what are you guys getting in a second if you had to pick one?

I think the roles. You know the roles.

Purely by the. Fact that you're both bad at

each other. I, you know, I really don't like

either of those things. That's why it's it's what is

worse. That's the is the question.

Again, purely by the fact of the V12 sticking in the roles, I'll keep the roles above the Bentley.

In terms of looks, they all look pretty, yeah, but I I'd probably give it to to Bentley in terms of looks higher up.

But again, like I said, if we were buying something, you know, stupid, you might as well, you know, teach the environment a real lesson. But I can't. 6.7 litre B12.

C30, our little friend Alexi has his car wasn't running right, so he did some investigation, pulled the head off and it has a cracked cylinder liner. So after 60,000, let's just say

rather hard kilometres. I don't know that car to not be

being on full boost or at red lines.

So kudos to Volvo slash Ford for that five cylinder turbo because it's it's it's withstood quite the beating to 60,000 gay anyway, it is now yes, in pieces with the head removed and he's deciding what to do with it when he puts another block in it and rebuilds it or send it to the wrecker or whatever.

So anyway. That's, I know, I know there is

a, there is a, it's called the block mod for those.

And you put, you put this like you put a piece of metal in it that kind of gives a bit more strength.

And that's that's a very common thing on those called the block mod. And I, I said to him though, you

So can't, can't you just put new liners in it and replace the piston and you're back to factory, you know.
