Welcome to the carpool podcast with Kelly.
I haven't feeling so old lately.
Me too.
Just like when I hear someone using their 20s, I'm like, no, I'm in my 20s.
Yeah.
And I'm not.
And Liz.
It is better if they're just not there.
Like, when they're not feeling good and he's laying there, you're like,
I know you're another person to take care of.
Now the kids are asking for you and you can't be there for them.
It's more work.
Your mom time off starts now.
Welcome back to the carpool podcast with Kelly.
And Liz.
Hey, Liz.
Hey, Kel.
Back in studio.
Back in studio.
Back in studio.
You don't have your lights and it's showing.
I will give you grace.
I expect lights on Friday.
I'm looking at them right now.
Didn't have time to set them up again.
Don't think I look that bad.
I actually think I look better than you.
I just said that because I knew it would hurt.
I don't actually.
Well, I'm also a cheat.
Delicious cheetah girl.
I'm wearing a cheetah top with a little bow.
No, you're, you're very cheetah-licious right now.
This is, you're also like far too, your business,
very business professional right now.
What's going on?
Walk me through that.
Well, transparently, I'm just like trialing like some
outfits that I, for like some events I have coming up.
And this was an out, a top that I was excited about.
I also have to film an ad later today.
And in the ad, they say like you have to be an elevated
clothes, not athleisure, which is kind of like a crazy thing
for an ad to say.
Well, very bold.
But I get it.
And yeah, I know, but then you're like,
is this good enough?
Like, but yeah, so that's why I was like,
so let's do the little like bow top.
Like I have my corduroy spanks pants on.
Yeah.
I mean, I get it.
It feels a little silly to be like just in my house.
But you know, Merrick gets dressed every day.
So I'm just always looking at how I can be more like Merrick.
See, and I thought that I was like really stepping it up
when I put on like a sweater and makeup.
Well, and you were, and you are, and you are,
but you still couldn't catch me wearing jeans
in the comfort of my home.
But you're going to wear jeans tomorrow and Wednesday.
Elizabeth and I have a really major day.
I don't think we can share what we're doing,
but it basically requires us to be like working, working.
We're doing workshops.
We're doing two days of workshops for a project
that we're working on.
And we, you know, we work from home
slash we work at the dealership,
but the dealership is the world's most distracting place
because there's so many cars, there's so many people.
And I'm like, I don't think we'll be able to,
we also don't have an office.
Like we're just nomads at the dealership.
Like we're just walking around.
We're just like getting a Grayson's desk
like until she gets a customer.
Yeah.
So I'm like, we need to get this done.
We need like literally eight hours in front of our computer
over the next two days.
We need to go to the local library
because the local library can be such a vibe.
Like I love a meeting room.
I love an office.
I'm planning, I might wear a blazer tomorrow.
Like I don't even know what's going to happen,
but I want you to dress
because I always say you make better decisions in jeans.
That's fine.
That's fine.
So you are mandating that I wear elevated clothing,
not athleisure tomorrow.
I am mandating that.
Yes.
You do that.
And the dress code for tomorrow is business casual.
Oh, wow.
Okay.
Yeah.
Well, we'll have to do a fit check at the library
to see what we come up with.
Do you think we just like rent a room
or like surely we'll be fine?
No, I think we can just show up.
And I think it'll be fine.
But yeah, there's something about sitting in a library
in them just that reminds me of like studying for exams.
Well, or like I was thinking like,
should we try to find like one of those co-working spaces
that people are always speaking of?
Oh, wait, should I search co-working spaces near me?
Yeah, just like give like co-working spaces near me.
Although, you know what?
Sometimes those places,
you have to have like a monthly like subscription to.
Well, I mean, I guess,
I don't know how else they're making any money.
But I mean, you can also pay to just go,
I don't actually have this works co-working space.
Let's do the library.
Let's just let's do the library.
But that's interesting.
Oh, there's one in my area.
I do wonder how they make money.
I always think that about coffee shops too.
Like a coffee shop,
like you pay $7 for a coffee,
which seems like a lot for a coffee,
but then you sit and use their Wi-Fi for three hours and work.
There's just like a lot of overhead for a coffee shop.
Do you ever think about that?
Yeah.
But then you've got other people who aren't doing that,
who are just like going in to spend $7.
Again, $7 on a coffee.
You set it right there.
Yeah.
Okay.
Honestly, these co-working spaces
like aren't looking any more inspiring than the local library.
Okay.
Well, then we'll just be local library gals.
So anyway, that's where you can find us tomorrow.
And we're so excited to tell you what our secret project is.
We just can't yet.
But it's something for all of us.
Soon.
Soon, ladies.
Anyway, we are coming off.
Wednesday.
We're coming off of such a fabulous weekend though,
because we're recording this on Monday.
Mm-hmm.
It was a little bit about me.
It was opening weekend of deer season.
So Youth Hunt was a couple of weeks ago.
Now it's deer season.
And I'm pleased to announce that Tyler was also able to get
an opening day buck.
So deer season is over in the Stumpy Household.
A beautiful thing.
Huge for me.
Huge for us.
And I was so looking forward to it.
So when he told me he got it Saturday morning and I was like,
oh my gosh, this is amazing.
So that means you're going to be home all day Sunday.
I was expecting literally not to see him again until Monday.
Comes home Saturday, we have an amazing morning.
We go to church on the way home from church.
He's like, I'm just so happy.
He was on a high from his buck that he got.
He's like, I'm going to scrub this house top to bottom.
And I'm like, yes.
Because I can eat it and ate it.
It just keeps getting better.
And he was taking out the trash and he pulled something
and brought his back basically.
And I saw all my visions just get wiped away.
Yeah.
And then he was laying in bed, scrolling his phone
with the ice pack.
I had to bring him water.
I had to base it.
I mean, I had to do everything.
And I was like, I wish you were hunting still
because now you're a fifth child.
But he felt bad.
And he felt so bad.
He kept saying, I'm sorry.
I'm so sorry.
And I'm like, you're being annoying.
Like it's fine.
Like it happens.
I get it.
Like just you're fine.
It is what it is.
Yeah.
So all's to say is my floors didn't get cleaned this weekend.
You know, it is like speaking from someone who does have a husband
who's gone a lot, it is better if they're just not there.
Like when they're not feeling good and he's laying there,
you're like, I know you're another person to take care of.
Now the kids are asking for you and you can't be there for them.
It's more work.
Yeah.
Go get a hotel room and suffer there.
Yeah.
So that's it's so not like Taylor.
And then it's kind of sad because you're like, oh my gosh,
like it's so sad to see like your strong husband.
Like, like, you know, in pain, in pain.
It was so horrible.
But he was feeling a little bit better today.
And yeah.
But I had actually a super productive Saturday because there
was something about just like settling into like I was alone.
I was doing this.
Like let me get done what I want to get done.
And I have what I'm calling like a protein prep day because
dinner times have been just a real struggle for me lately.
I've just been working more in the afternoons.
And Libby is such a pain in the butt right now.
I really like this age.
I find to be so exhausting.
So exhausting.
You always say this.
I always say this like 12 to 18 months, not really for me.
And that's some people's favorite age.
It's got to be my least favorite age.
So I mean, I feel like I can't even hardly.
I can't feel like I can't do anything.
Like I feel like I can barely cook like up.
And I can only cook for as long as she will sit in her high
chair and eat puffs until she starts throwing them on the
ground.
So like that's the window I'm working with.
So I'm like, I need quicker meals.
She's like, I need quick, quick, quick.
So I decided to, so I kept telling myself like I need to
do some meal prep days.
I need to like, it's like restock the freezer, you
know, batch cook, but I just like didn't have the
headspace to give that this weekend.
Like I couldn't possibly be bothered to like come up
with like different recipes and like all the
ingredients, but I'm like, I have so much meat in
my freezer because we buy the half a cow and the
half a hog.
So I'm like, I have all this meat, beef, pork, and I
also had some chicken.
And I'm like, I am just going to prep the proteins.
Like I can do this.
I can, I'm just going to do this.
Here's what I had going on.
Not one, but two crock pots.
First of all, that was a hack.
Highly recommend two crock pots.
Get one on Black Friday for the simple fact of
like, well, one, then you're never without a crock
pot.
Cause like what if yours bus and actually while I
was having this day, my old one busted.
Oh, okay.
Crazy.
Crazy.
It started leaking chicken juice.
And I said that's simply enough for me.
So it did finish the leak.
I'm not.
It was like coming out from the bottom.
I'm not sure where the leak was.
It finished the job.
And then I just threw it right into the trash
can.
It was so nice.
I didn't have to clean it.
Like that for me.
Love that for me.
So I had two crock pots going.
I had chicken breasts in one just to make shredded
chicken.
And then I had a pork button the other.
So like that was amazing.
Then I had my skillet on and I was just a machine.
I was going like this.
I was doing ground beef, ground pork, ground
sausage.
And I was just rotating them.
I did six bags.
I wanted to vlog the experience, but I couldn't
because I had Libby.
I mean, I could barely even do it.
And you guys know how much I've been talking
about this 15 pounds of ground beef.
Six.
Oh, and I made meatballs.
Like I'm telling you, I was an animal in the
kitchen.
Feels good.
And so I left some of the ground beef on season
and then I put taco on some of it.
So I just have two bags of taco meat in my freezer.
Like pull those out with all those.
Like we're having taco.
Like I don't even know what we're having
tonight.
It could be anything.
Freezing cooked meat is next level.
Well, and then it's just like it's all
the convenience and I didn't have to lend any
more headspace.
I don't know what I'm going to do with it.
I just know that it's there and I've already
kind of been like brainstorming the meals
I'm going to do because I also left a lot
of the beef on season and then I'm thinking
add it in a meat sauce, make like stuffed
peppers with it, add it into hamburger
helper.
Like whatever I want to do, I will do.
I have the cooked beef.
Totally.
And then the chicken, put it into a
soup.
Poppy seed chicken, chicken pot pie,
chicken enchiladas.
Like I have cooked chicken in my freezer
ready to go.
It's like you have a rotisserie chicken
on hand.
It's like I have a rotisserie chicken on
hand.
So I feel great about it.
And it was like such a good use of my
time, felt very productive.
And I'm like, I honestly have less
dinner anxiety now.
You know?
Well, if like you're, you're good to
go.
Like if you, so you can't get, if you
can't get it together, if Tyler throws
his back out again and he was supposed
to, like, you've got, you've got
essentials on hand and that's
important.
I have noodles, marinara sauce,
ground beef and Texas toast, all,
all shelf slash freezer staple.
Like we could have spaghetti, I could
have spaghetti and meat sauce on the
table in 20 minutes.
Yeah.
And that feels good.
That does feel good.
Something that I did this weekend,
which I should have gone first
because I feel like it was more
exciting is I went to the Marine
Corps ball and I had a ball of a
time.
You looked unbelievable.
Thank you.
The lob was out to play.
The lob was, I was actually brushing
my hair this morning and I'm like,
it's getting a little long.
This is kind of the curse of a lob
girl.
This is like, I need to already go
get another haircut.
You should just go a tick
shorter.
I actually feel like your hair grows
pretty fast.
It doesn't grow very long.
Like it kind of stops at a
certain length, but I do think
your hair grows pretty fast.
Yeah.
I think I could, I think I could
chop it just a tad more.
Liz, I just want you to go crazy.
Like I just want you to like
literally shoulder length.
Okay.
Well, maybe we'll see.
What's the worst that could
happen?
Exactly.
Like I don't care.
I am like so not tied to my
hair.
Like I am, but like not really.
Okay.
So I went to the Marine Corps
ball this weekend.
We went to Indianapolis, which
it was our first time in
Indianapolis.
And Maddie won't stop talking
about how it's his new
favorite city in the Midwest.
Great city.
Beautiful city.
Really?
He's obsessed.
So we, he, he did decide.
He's not really an NFL guy.
We are a Notre Dame family.
So that's our college team.
But he goes, I think, I think
the Indianapolis Colts are
going to be our music.
It's my going to be my NFL team.
I'm like, okay, well great.
Well, I'll hop on that with
you because I, I don't really
have one.
I wasn't, you know, I could
jump on the lines with Kelly,
but so we're Colts fans now
and so I need to buy some
merch.
Elizabeth.
This is, this is huge.
Like, can we just stop?
Let's just stop here.
I'll take a little pit stop here.
First of all, I'm so happy
you guys found an NFL team.
And I think this just makes
sense for you.
Pit stop in the pit stop.
That's a really cute thing to
say when we need to go off
on a tangent.
That's correlated.
We're making a pit stop.
We're making a pit stop here.
So step one is to go on
Abercrombie's website and
buy yourself a Colts.
I think Colts is cute and
it's still blue.
So you're still kind of like
on brand.
And Indianapolis is four hours
from St. Louis and like Kansas
City is four hours from St.
Louis.
So like, Kansas City doesn't
have to be the default team
just because it's closer to us
because Indianapolis is the
same.
Well, I agree.
Is, are they good?
So this was what Maddie said.
He's like, I am kind of bummed
that I'm picking this year
for it to be our team because
they are good this year.
So he's like, now it looks
like we're, I'm picking
this team because they're
good.
Oh yeah, Liz.
They're eight and two.
And I said, that's okay.
That's okay.
Because you've been a Notre Dame
fan all your life and they
struggle a lot of the time.
So I don't think anyone's going
to question your integrity.
Oh, the Colts.
This is so cute.
Kelly, look at how cute this
is.
I'm obsessed by that.
Oh, okay.
Done.
Yeah, I'm really,
they're eight and two.
They're really good.
The Lions had a really tough
loss.
Now we're six and four.
The Eagles.
I watched the game till
half time and I fell asleep.
It's hard when you like have a
team that people care about
and like now we're on like the
prime time.
Like it's just really tough
or people care about the Eagles
and that's why the Lions were
on the prime time.
It was too late,
but the Eagles were incredible.
I like am so into it now.
What can I ask you what size
you got in this Abercrombie?
Do you remember?
Is that the women's or the
unisex?
It's the,
I think it's the unisex one.
Medium.
Okay.
Or it might be the women's
and I don't know.
I can also like verify that
later, but.
All right.
I'm happy for you right now.
Thank you.
Okay.
So moving on,
we went to the ball in
Indianapolis.
We had stayed at a
beautiful hotel.
It was very nice.
It was a nice little getaway
for us.
Went to the ball.
The guest of honor.
So there's always,
okay.
So there's a guest of honor
and then there's always,
they do the ceremony.
I guess he wasn't the guest
of honor.
They do the ceremony where
the oldest marine present and
the young, the first piece of
cake goes to the oldest marine
present.
And the second piece of cake
goes to the youngest marine
present.
The oldest marine present that
was there was born in April
1925.
Oh,
this man was a hundred
years old.
He was,
he was an Iwo Jima
fighter,
which is,
if you know anything about the
battle of Iwo Jima, it's
insane.
And
it was very sweet.
And then the youngest marine
present was born in 2007.
So in my mind,
she is seven.
If you're born in 2007,
you are seven.
But
no, she is what,
in her 20s.
Oh my gosh.
That's a lot for me to handle.
I haven't feeling so old
lately.
Me too.
Just like when I hear someone
who's in their 20s, I'm like,
no, I'm in my 20s.
And I'm not.
Oh, she's not even in her 20s.
No, she's not.
Yeah.
Like when I was watching the
Lions game last night,
they kept saying like how old
some of the players were.
And I'm like, that player's
24.
I'm 24.
I'm 18.
Like that guy's like supposed
to be older than me.
Like it's crazy.
Yeah.
No, you know what,
mom always said that she goes
in my head, I feel 22.
And she said this when she was
like 45.
So I do think that's a
universal thing.
And we're just always going to
feel that way.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I'm going to struggle with
that.
I've just always been like the
youngest in my crowd too.
Like Tyler was just older than
me.
Our friends were always older.
I was like a younger mom.
And like now I'm just old
or older.
But that's okay.
So anyway, the ball how was
so the ball was so
the ball was fun.
The ball was the ball was
fine.
The ball was a good time.
The ball was a ball.
And then
we went to
we wanted to go back to the
hotel bar that we were seeing
it because it was like this
rooftop.
It was a really vibe.
And we were going with some
other people.
So I said Maddie ordered
Uber XL and
we're waiting for the Uber
XL.
And I'm so curious.
I'm like, what car is it?
And he goes, oh, it's a
Mr. B.C.
Outlander.
I'm like, that's not
an XL at all.
That is the biggest joke of
a three row SUV.
There's no way
you order an Uber XL and
they're allowing a Mr. B.C.
Outlander to be
considered an XL.
Luckily, we only had five
people and not six because
six people adults wouldn't
have fit in it.
So it was one of those
things where I like
spotted the car because I
know what it looks like.
And so I go up to it.
And then like since I was
the first one to open the
door, I'm like, well, I guess
I'll be the one to get in
the third row.
Elizabeth.
So, you know, me six feet tall
in a ball gown that's dragging
on the floor and heels,
I should I should have asked
one of the Marines to get,
but they're all big guys too.
So like, I don't want to do
that.
Like whatever.
So I get in the third row
super uncomfortable.
It's like a 20 minute ride
back to the hotel.
We get up to the Sky Bar
and I step right back in
the hotel and I'm like,
Maddie, I need to go lay
down. I got so
car sick.
I was not like drinking sick
at all.
I had like three drinks at
this point, like super
spread out. It was entirely
sober.
I had to go lay lay in the
hotel room for like 20 minutes
to recover from the car
sickness of the Miss
Abishi Outlander.
You should leave them
review that.
I agree. That's not an Excel
car.
No, it's not.
It's such a joke.
But then once I was feeling
better and that kind of like
ruined the rest of my night
because I had like grand
plans for like an espresso
martini and
you know, some truffle
fries and that just didn't
really happen after like your
feeling kind of sick.
So but it was fun.
You know, we went up to the
Sky Bar.
It's always fun when you're
with like Marines in uniform.
Like people are sending them
shots.
Guys are like an older man
like through a hundred dollars
down on the table like to buy
around a drink.
So it was very sweet and it
was fun.
So I love seeing my husband
dressed up.
I love going to the Marine
Corp ball.
I love the Marines.
It's just it's all such a
fun experience.
Yeah, I
it's I love
that you guys do this.
I love that you're like
already that you always go to
the ball.
You always celebrate the Marines
birthday.
I think it's really fun and
really sweet.
It's fun.
It's a sweet tradition and I
am seriously so honored to be
a part of it because we are
not a military family.
Like our dad didn't serve
and we don't really we're not
really surrounded by people who
served.
So it's been really fun to
learn a lot about it and to
kind of like feel more
ingrained in the Marine
Corp.
Not obviously 100% to my
husband, not that it has
anything to do with me, but
it's just it's fun to feel
like I'm a part of
something through my
husband.
I agree.
Do you think your kids will?
I don't know.
And I also would be curious to
know like if Maddie would want
them to serve and like
Maddie's dad.
Maddie's dad was a Marine too.
You know, he was in the army.
Maddie's grand.
Grandpa was a Marine.
So I don't know.
Well, obviously where we're
at.
I feel like it can look.
I mean, so different for so
many people.
Yeah.
Different branches.
And I mean, I don't know
enough about it, but
there's so much you could do.
I mean, Maddie's sister is a
is a dentist and she didn't do
this, but he was like, you
should go be a dentist in the
Marine Corp.
Because you get all these
benefits and then you can like
say you were in the military.
Right.
You're going to travel and just
like be a dentist within.
So there's so much you can do
within it.
So I don't know.
I'm sure that it'll be a
I'm sure it'll be a
conversation for all of our
kids to see if they want to
serve in the military in
some capacity.
I'm sure Maddie will have a
lot of opinions on
on that, but I don't I don't
know enough about all of it.
Today's episode is brought to
you by Clean Simple Eats.
Our obsession with Clean Simple
Eats is so real.
They recently brought back
their protein sodas, which is
their clear protein in a can,
but it's carbonated, which I
actually like a little bit
better.
So delicious.
A great afternoon drink when
you're kind of sick of your
water has 20 grams
of grass-fed whey protein,
all of Clean Simple Eats
products are have no
seed oils or artificial
ingredients.
They're third-party tested
non-GMO and gluten-free
and each serving has 20
grams of protein in those
sodas.
I really like the cherry
lime flavor.
Lemonade is also good
and they also have a grape.
Highly recommend.

Kind of brings me up to a
segue about a conversation
that George and I had
that I shared on my
Instagram that I wanted just
to have a little deeper in
here.
So I've spoken to this before
but I one time saw the
reel and it like totally
changed my life and I love
when reels change my life
and I hope that this
changes someone's life.
And it was when your kids
come up to you and tell
you something, something
that they want to be when
they grow up.
I think as parents we just
like kind of write it off
or just like, okay,
whatever, that's great.
Sure.
But this guy who is
doing this reel,
I forget who it was
and I'm so mad I can't
remember.
He was like, my parents
didn't do that.
No, you saw this reel.
I told you about it.
Yeah.
Who was it?
I don't know who the
creator was but he said
that he wanted to be
like a marine biologist
or he wanted to do
something with sea animals.
And his parents told him,
oh well, if you want
to be
a marine biologist
then you have to learn a lot about.
You have to do good at school,
learn a lot about animals
and become a good swimmer.
Okay.
Those were like the three things
that his parents told him.
Yeah.
And I remember hearing that
and I'm like, that is
such a good idea because
those skills are
transferrable.
You're encouraging
your child,
which is I think what
we all want to do as parents
you're giving your child
confidence.
I mean there's nothing worse
than like going to somebody
with your idea
and then like not
taking it seriously.
Like that would bother me
so bad as an adult.
And I think it would also
bother my children.
So, you know,
George has had many phases
and it was,
he wants to be a reptile
YouTuber.
He wants to be a YouTuber.
George watches YouTube,
like a supervised of course,
but I like him watching it
because I find it to be
educational.
Anyway, so now he's like,
I want to be,
I want to be a Lego YouTuber.
And he started filming,
he asked if he could
borrow my phone to film
Lego videos for YouTube,
which I mean,
we're not posing them
on YouTube obviously,
but it was fun to see him
like try
to like make a video.
And he was like filming it
and I was like,
well, you got to learn
how to get other angles of it,
George.
And like, you know,
why don't you go grab my tripod?
We can do like an overhead one.
And it was so amazing
to see him use
like his creative muscles
like that.
And I really felt like
video editing
or like capturing video,
it's like just as important
as like to me coloring.
Like I find it equally
as creative.
And like,
it's of the times.
Like I'm,
I like the idea
of my kids being really
being good at with technology
and in a supervised way.
And anyway,
so I was just, he was telling me this
and I'm like, George,
I think this could be a great,
great idea for you.
You know, if you want to do it,
though, you've got to do well in school.
You got to be super organized
with your Legos
and you got to get really good
at, you know, public speaking
and explaining things to people.
And it just opened up
like such good dialogue
and conversations about like
what those skills are,
what he could work on,
what he could work on today
if he wants to do that.
And I just would really encourage
anyone like next time your kid
comes up and tells you something
that they want to be,
encourage them
and tell them what they could do
to work on it.
And it could be anything, you know,
like Hattie was like,
I want to be a princess.
And I'm like,
I think it should be a princess.
Like that's a great idea.
But if you want to be a princess,
you have to learn how to be
really kind to people.
You know, you have to do good
in school.
You have to be smart
if you're going to be the princess.
And, you know,
one other thing that I said,
just make it up.
And it's,
it gives them something to work
towards too.
Because otherwise,
like why would you just like film
this film, this stuff?
Just like what's he going to do with it?
Like it gives them
and this started his whole reptile.
He said he wanted to be a reptile
guy where he goes to like schools
and do reptile shows.
And he said, OK,
well, you have to be a good public
speaker.
And then he learned how to do it.
And then he did a reptile show
in front of this class.
Yeah.
He would have never done that
if you didn't say that.
And that real the way it ended.
I don't exactly remember
what the guy is.
What his profession is,
he's not a marine biologist,
but he does work with
marine life.
And he did.
He was like a collegiate swimmer.
He used those skills.
He didn't use them in the way
that he thought he would when he
was a child.
But because his parents said that
he did use those skills
and he's happy that they said
that.
So I totally forgot about the one
I'm so happy you reminded me
about it.
Yeah, I just, I.
Yeah, I'm also just happy
today when I'm like really proud
of my big kids.
Like my big kids are just
I'm loving their age.
I am such a kid mom.
Like I am so excited
for the kid years.
I'm not, I'm
woman enough to say this.
I'm not that big of a baby
person.
I love my babies.
I'm not someone who like needs
to hold every baby in the room.
Like I just, I find connecting
with kids though to be like,
I would so much rather go play
with the kids than hold your
baby.
Like I just love kids.
I think they're so awesome.
I think they're just so cool.
And I love that I have my
own.
Four of them.
Yeah.
Just fun.
Yeah.
It is fun.
So anyway.
I'm so happy you brought
that up.
Thank you.
Welcome.
Do you have anything else on
your driveway dump or do you
want me to segue to a
segment?
Swedment?
Do you have a segment
because I do have an
advice question as well.
I have a,
I guess you could call it a
beauty shop, but it's more
just like a PSA.
Everyone needs to go do this
or buy this.
Okay.
Do you want me to go first?
Go ahead.
Okay.
Now it's time for details
detail shop where I share
recent beauty swap.
This is a fashion swap.
And I really hate to like
tell you need to go buy
something, but like if you're
in the market for this, like
this is the thing you need
to go buy.
I,
of course it's from Merrick.
Like of course.
And she had on these
Hunter Green linen pants
from Athleta.
And I have the linen pants
in white and I like them
like I wore them all
summer.
And I was like, oh Hunter
Green, like it's such a,
like it's not a summery
color.
Like why would I buy those
pants?
Well, they're on sale for
colors for Athleta, which is
an insane deal.
They're really good pants
are really good quality.
They're so size inclusive.
Like they have all the
inseams, all the sizes.
I'm in a small, tall
they're Hunter Green.
They are the perfect
fall pant.
Like,
Wow.
If you know, like
I have.
I wore, I've only worn them
once, but I already washed
them and like planned out
my next outfit with them
because I'm convinced
they'll go with everything.
They're a great color
sneakers.
Like to me it's just like a
jean or like a yoga pant.
But I feel like it's such a
good transitional pant
and I'm just like so
depending on the time of the
month, not really in my jean
era.
And like these are
just as like cuteness.
They're almost like more
stylish than jeans because
you're like, are you wearing
a Hunter Green linen pant?
Like what an interesting
piece of item that you
own.
I paired it with a gray
tee and a jean jacket.
I'm also like loving pants
that aren't jeans so I can
wear more jean jackets
because I don't love,
I'm sorry, I don't love
a denim on denim look.
It's just not always my favorite.
I feel like I'm just too tall
sometimes to wear that.
I don't know why.
I see a lot of denim.
Yeah.
Denim is a lot.
It's a lot of heavy fabric
coming at a person.
Yeah.
So I loved that.
I also dark green pants
wore them with a J crew
white and navy sweater.
Like that was a cute color
combo.
You could wear them with
ballet flats.
You could wear them with
loafers.
You could wear them with
sandals.
Like they are so cute.
They're still in stock.
And I just feel like they're
going to be one of my most
worn items.
Okay.
I am obsessed with them.
You know,
and as girls who are so tall,
we,
they're,
there's so much more size
inclusive now than they have
been in the past, obviously.
We've only ever been able to
wear like leggings or jeans
because those were the only
things that came in tall
sizes.
Like the additional pant,
the cute pant,
the colored pant,
never came in a tall size.
And that's why I love
athletic and Spanx and like
brands like that because
unfortunately they are more
expensive, but the more
expensive ones also make the
tall sizes.
We're able to buy a different
pant now because of the size
inclusivity.
No, you're so spot on.
Like for a while there, it was
like you could only buy
express jeans because they
were the only ones that came
in long.
And now express is bankrupt
and I'm buying athletic,
linen pants and tall.
It's like so exciting.
So exciting.
Okay.
Cal, we have an advice
question.
This comes from Jen.
Hey, Kelly and Liz.
I'm so inspired by Kelly's
hosting tips and have decided
to throw a favorite
thanks party for some of
my friends this Christmas.
I'm so nervous though.
I've never hosted a girls
slash adults party like this
and I want it to be fun.
What are your biggest tips?
What foods or drinks would
you serve?
What do I need to make sure
that everyone has a good time?
I would appreciate any
and all suggestions.
Oh, this is my favorite
advice question we've ever
gotten.
I know.
I know.
Okay.
So I have the per,
I'm going to give you
the playbook.
Because I throw a very similar
party that I've just started
planning.
I threw it last year
and it's like a makeup
rob your neighbor party
basically.
So I don't really understand
the favorite things
concept.
I guess you will bring
multiple things.
This is just my opinion.
I wouldn't be mad
if I got the invite,
but I just felt like
that was kind of a lot to
ask because it's like
you're buying five of
something or you just
maybe buying one of
something.
No, I think it's just
like one of your favorite
things.
You're just bringing one
of your favorite things.
Okay.
It's like 10.
It's crazy.
Okay.
So I think that's great.
I do it like with a beauty
product.
Twist.
Category.
You categorize it.
With a category.
So I sometimes think
a category could be fun
like you could do kitchen
favorites, you could do
beauty favorites,
or you could just do
favorites.
But it kind of makes it
part of the evening
because everyone,
even if you don't get
that item, it's fun to
see what other people
really like because
like it's like your
favorite thing to do.
You know, it's like,
and people get so passionate
about their product,
which also makes the game
more fun because then
it's people are like
stealing, you know,
it's just a great time.
So as far as food's
concerned, I find when
you have an event like
that that has an activity,
I don't really do a sit
down.
But depending on
when you're doing it,
you might want to have
a hearty enough,
hearty enough food
to make it a meal.
So like the party
I throw, it's like,
I think I do it like
six to nine or something.
So I, I'm expecting
to feed people dinner.
And I do flatbreads.
So I get nonbread
and I just make my own.
And I think that's really fun.
The guests don't make them.
I have them made ahead of time.
Like I'm pulling them out
of the oven.
But I think that's fun
because then you can do
a big variety.
So you can do a barbecue
chicken.
You could do like a
fig jam and prosciutto.
You could just do a
pepperoni hot honey,
a goat cheese arugula,
a margarita.
Like you could get
as fancy or as simple
as necessary.
But I like when,
especially when it's like
a ladies thing,
I like to do something more.
I do something that I wouldn't
make, you know,
for a bunch of dads coming over.
Like I'm not doing a pork butt.
Like we're doing flatbreads,
like fun sassy flatbreads.
I also find like those are
so grab-and-go then
you don't need to stress
about doing other like
appetizers.
Like I just have those out
and ready.
Have, you know, the nice,
I would get the nice
like clear China plates.
Like this isn't,
this is a holiday,
holiday affair.
And then for drinks,
I find it easiest.
I like to do,
if you have them,
I like to do my real wine glasses
because like when else are you
using them?
I just think like
that's fun and elevated.
Make sure you have like wine
charms so everyone can like
know which one is theirs.
And then I like to offer
like a white,
sometimes I do a red,
sometimes I don't.
Champagne I think is also
like fun for the holidays.
And then like one mixed drink
and then I will always have
like sodas or like
sparkling waters out too.
So then I get like my little
bar area set up and I have
the sodas and like the
LeCroix iced.
I have my two bottles of wine
opened.
Like don't make your gas open
their wine.
That's like not the vibe.
And then the champagne is also
out.
And then a mixed drink.
So like something like a
Jingle-Jangle punch.
Like I don't know,
just Google something.
But you know,
give it a name and like
write down what's on there.
I think,
I think you can do,
I think you can
ditch the cocktail or do the
cocktail.
Like for,
you don't have to do it
all because like if you make
all that and then you also open
two bottles of wine,
like depending on how many
people you have.
So that's true.
I just find some people
don't, some people aren't wine
drinkers.
So I would have another
variety.
So then if you're not going to
do that, then I'm going to
throw some beers or like
some seltzers in like your
little cooler area because
some people just don't like
wine.
So I like to accommodate
for that.
And then I have someone
bring dessert.
I just think that's like,
so you know,
I wouldn't make,
I don't ask people to bring
anything.
But like someone texts,
I said, Oh, if you could bring
like a little dessert,
that'd be great.
And then, you know,
I kind of like to have like
mingling slash eating for
an hour and then sit down
for the game.
And then like food wise is
flatbreads.
Are you having anything
else?
No, I'm just making flatbreads.
You're not having like a,
like a cheese board or a
veggie tray.
Chips and salt,
just flatbreads.
Okay.
Just flatbreads.
I mean, I'm having like
a big variety.
Okay, that's fine.
Yeah.
I mean, you,
I could definitely do,
do a veggie tray,
but I'm just kind of trying to
make it like a grab and go.
And I don't have,
like I don't have a proper
dinner area set up.
So people are like,
you know, taking their plate,
like eating it like while
we're standing around the
flatbreads or like maybe
they took their plate into
the living room.
So that's why I try to
not do like a ton of,
like I don't know.
I just wanted to make sure
we weren't missing anything.
No, just flatbreads.
And they are fabulous.
And that's my evening.
I need to get that on the books.
I need to get that schedule out.
Yeah, I want to do it.
I want to do it too.
I'm also kind of nervous
because I want to do with
some girls that I'm,
I'm like newly meeting.
So it's just like,
but someone has to be
the girl to invite it.
And I just like,
I need to be that girl.
And see,
I kind of feel like
my tip for like,
I do think the guest list
is important because
I think if you're,
especially if you're trying to like,
I don't think you should necessarily
invite every single person.
You know, again,
not to be like,
like not to exclude people,
like have two if you want to have two.
But I think if you're like
trying to get to know a group of people,
or if there's people
who don't all know each other,
they feel more comfortable
if it's like an even playing field.
And it's not like that.
It's not like it's them coming to like you
and all your high school friends together.
I agree.
Like that's not always the vibe.
Or make sure like
they're bringing someone
who they know really well
and then do a good job
of mingling and introducing.
Like I think as the host,
that's kind of a lost art
to like find people big.
Thanks so much for coming.
Oh my gosh,
I need to introduce you to this girl.
Like you guys have this in common.
So and something that I always remember
if you are a sorority girl
when you rush girls
and then when you do the transition
to another girl,
you always say,
Oh hi, this is Kelly.
Kelly and I were just talking about
how she's trying to learn canning.
And then like you tell them
what you were talking about
so then they can be brought into the conversation.
That's a lost art.
No.
That is,
I'm going to do a podcast on that
because I don't know if people know this.
I was actually the VP of recruitment.
I was a mate.
I was an amazing.
Shocker.
Shocker.
I was an amazing recruitment chair.
Like I could teach anyone
how to have any conversation.
I should do a podcast on that.
Kelly was an Alpha Chi.
I was a Chi Omega.
I was an Alpha Chi.
Oh, I was like,
that was such a time.
Like I was,
you guys,
I went to,
what did I go to?
I went to national conference.
I was on the like the board of trustees
for Alpha Chi.
When I was the,
I was a collegiate representative
on the board of trustees.
I held in the exact position
for all three years.
Like I was so into it.
I know it's not that I'm not into it,
but like,
yeah,
I'm actually,
okay, this is actually crazy.
I'm actually going to be on the cover
of Alpha Chi's national magazine.
Oh, she's a cover girl too.
I actually just did my interview
because I'm a cover girl.
Okay.
I forgot about that.
Spoilers.
So if you're an Alpha Chi,
you can watch my face in your mailbox soon.
That's so funny.
I do.
So back to the guest list though.
I do think you should be mindful
about curating it and,
you know,
have,
give it some headspace ahead of time.
Like who you're going to talk to,
who you're going to set them up with,
what are some ways that people can connect?
And again,
I just think this,
the game is really fun.
And I would lean into like,
oh, so who's like the way that we play
the Rob Your Neighbor is,
it's not a secret.
And like people open their gifts.
So like they open it.
It's like, oh, who's was this?
Oh, Liz, that was yours.
Like tell us why you love this super group
sunscreen so much.
And then like they can kind of share
what they like about it.
Yeah.
I find that to be fun.
I would,
I would really love to see some carpoolers
have this party because it's a layup.
It's like your house is deck.
Let people see your Christmas decorations.
Like I know you're all decorating throw.
It can be so small.
It can be five girls and you're like,
hey, I'm going to make flatbreads
and we're going to do a,
you know, Rob your neighbor beauty products
or Rob your neighbor kitchen.
Yeah.
And mine's not even on,
I do mine on a Tuesday evening,
a six to nine.
Like I'm not even going to take over someone's weekend
because I know that's so busy.
I'm just going to do it on a Tuesday.
Tyler takes the kids to another dad's house,
you know, whatever.
I would really love to see you guys get that on your calendar
and to just connect with some women.
Okay.
Fine.
I'm challenging everyone to do it.
Fine.
It's,
and I just gave you the playbook.
Like if you want,
I can even do more and I can,
I think I have notes.
Should I pull up,
see if I can find my notes from last year?
Didn't we do an entire podcast on this?
We might have.
I don't remember.
That's fine.
We don't have to.
No, I,
you're,
you're right.
You're convicting me.
I want to convict you.
I think,
guys,
I'm telling you,
I think it's really important that we all do this.
I agree.
We all want it.
We all want the community.
Christmas note 2024.
Oh, okay.
I do have notes.
I won't,
I won't do it.
Well,
is there anything good?
No,
I think they're all like very personalized.
Like it was,
you know, the exact,
like I like to write down the number of flatbreads.
I bought the number that we ate.
And I'm just doing the same party,
but I've already had people tell me they're excited about it.
Um,
but I do want to invite more people.
And I think the guest list is hard because I don't,
I actually like it.
I want to invite people who
I'm maybe not that close with.
I just think it's important.
I think everyone needs an invite,
but I also think you should curate the guest list so people don't feel
like they're walking into a lion's den.
So my tip from earlier was
and tell them,
bring a friend like everyone's bringing a friend.
I'd love for you to bring one.
And just bring a friend.
I mean, what's one more flatbread?
Like, you know,
I'd figure like three pieces.
So on those non-breads,
I cut them into fours.
And I noticed that people will probably eat like three pieces.
Yeah.
All right.
Yeah.
Good to know.
Well, are you ready
for industry knows where we spilled the hot tea
going on in the auto industry?
Yes, I am ready for that.
Because my Christmas notes are so good.
I'm like, I love taking notes on my life.
I think it's just so how are you organizing your notes?
Because you pulled them up so fast.
Well, so in the notes app,
you can search on my iPad,
which is like all connected.
It's like, it does it by year and month.
So like, here's what I have from September.
I have, oh, I fall notes.
Oh, I haven't finished my fall notes.
See, I need to be getting on this.
But my summer notes was copious.
I did a podcast on my summer notes,
like just notes that I learned from the summer.
Like kids need cuter 4th of July slash pool clothes.
Yeah.
Fish fries are a fun summer meal.
Stuff like that.
Okay.
So just in my notes app.
I need to be doing that by...
Because the notes app will categorize it by year for you.
Gotcha.
By when you fill it out.
I need to work on my fall notes though.
Okay.
Industry news.
That's what you wanted next.
Now it's time for industry news
where I smell the hot tea going on in the auto industry.
And this is a great,
these are great topics to maybe bring up at said girls party.
Okay.
Let me find them.
Where could it be?
Okay.
The first is,
I don't have a lot on this,
but it's just a brand that there's not a lot for the story,
but it's a brand we don't talk about a lot.
So I wanted to bring them, bring attention to it.
Audi plans to build Land Rover Defender Rival
in U.S. on the Scout platform.
Now, if you're a car person and you know what this means,
Audi, Land Rover Defender, amazing vehicle,
literally obsessed with that car.
Like if I won the lottery,
that would be one of my cars for sure.
Defender 130, Matt Black, like catch me.
I'd rather have that than a G-Wagon,
like obsessed with that car, obsessed.
And then Scout is that Volkswagen,
like electric car that we keep hearing about and seeing nothing.
Yeah.
Probably because they didn't invite us to their reveal.
It doesn't matter.
It says,
Audi has not given up on the idea of a model to rival the Land Rover Defender
or the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
Audi is charting on a new course for its U.S. operations,
which plans to develop a large SUV tailored for the American market
set to be produced locally.
And it's just like,
Audi does feel a bit of sleep at the wheel right now.
I'm a little worried for Audi.
It's just like, they're,
because what's so interesting about Audi is like,
Volkswagen and Audi are owned by the same company.
And like the Atlas is everything in a bowl of soup.
Everything in a bag of chips.
What do you say?
Everything in a bag of chips.
It's everything in a bag of chips.
And people are always like,
Oh, is the Audi Q7 like the same as the Atlas?
And then I had to tell them,
no, it's not actually, which is like so sad.
It's not that it's a bad car,
but it's not as versatile or as big as the Atlas.
And then you've got like Lexus killing it.
I mean, killing the large SUVs, the GX, the LX, the TX,
they're all, they're all great in their own way.
BMW, like I don't love the X7.
People love the X7, even the X5.
I'd buy an X5 before I'd buy an Audi Q7.
Volvo's doing big things.
Like even Acura is like,
I feel like making better moves than Audi.
So I think Audi needs to do this.
And I think it's a good move for them.
Yeah.
I think it'll be interesting.
They have nothing like this.
Like when I think of Audi's, I'm thinking of a circle.
Like they are very rounded vehicles.
So to try and go that Defender G-Class route
is going to be unlike anything else that they have.
So I'll be curious to see how they do it.
Totally.
No, but like, you know, like the,
do you know the Boomba Kiki thing?
So Boomba, Boomba and Kiki.
Have you ever heard of this?
No, I have no idea.
Okay.
So across like every,
the multiple languages, the people were asked,
there was like a squiggly thing
and then like a sharp pointy person.
Cartoon.
We'll call it a cartoon.
Like a fat, like a, not fat, but like a round bubbly one
and then like a sharp pointy one.
And they said, which one's Boomba and which one's Kiki?
And everyone said that Kiki was the pointy one
and Boomba was the rounded one.
Okay.
So I think Audi's are Boombas
and I think they're trying to make a Kiki
and I'm just like curious if a Boomba can make a Kiki.
And if a Kiki can be a Boomba.
Because like a G-Class Defender, that's a Kiki.
Okay.
Audi Q7 is a Boomba.
Is a Boomba.
Totally.
Tell you right.
It's so Kiki.
I'm sorry.
Is it Kiki and Boomba?
It's Kiki and Boomba, I think.
I mean, it doesn't matter.
It's like the vibes.
Yeah.
So that's just, that just reminded me of that.
Don't ask me why.
Okay.
Our next story is from CNBC.
Ford partners with Amazon
for dealers to sell used vehicles online.
Now, if you, let's catch up.
If you, let's catch you guys up to speed.
So you can buy a new Hyundai on Amazon.
I am a fan of it.
Now, why am I a fan of it?
One, it doesn't cut out the local family on dealers.
Like you still go pick up the car from there.
It's not like a delivery service.
You're buying it from them.
And two, I love Amazon.
And I think that whoever's ever doing it best gets to do it best.
And not everyone in the auto industry likes kind of my take on this,
but then they also like refuse to like try to make the car buying experience better.
So it's simply too, too bad, so sad for them.
So now Ford's partnering with Amazon.
Ford franchise dealers will be able to sell certified premium vehicles through Amazon.
The new program will let customers secure financing,
start paperwork and schedule for pickup.
That Ford, that this is just announced on Monday.
The deal comes after, the deal comes a year after Amazon said it would allow auto dealers
to sell cars through sites starting with vehicles from South Korea, Hyundai.
Sorry, that was like not a very good call out.
Basically it comes out a year after the Amazon Hyundai collab.
Yeah.
And I think this is kind of the start.
I mean, I think that I think in five years,
every car will be listed on Amazon.
Interesting.
So I, I'm okay with it.
I mean, really, like, I mean, I think Amazon's a good platform.
And I've like used the Amazon autos because I partner with them to talk about it.
And I'm like, yeah, like, it looks just like Amazon.
Like it's easy to use.
It's very transparent.
You know how to use it.
Pick it up at your dealership.
Like it's no big deal.
Yeah.
So.
Interesting.
Interesting.
I find it interesting that they're doing it with their certified pre-owned used
cars versus Hyundai with their new cars.
So that's kind of interesting.
But also Hertz is now, I believe, I don't know if it's live yet,
but Hertz has announced that they're going to sell their used inventory on Amazon.
Interesting.
Yeah.
I don't know.
I mean, I'm just, I, you know, it's also like you're not going to stop the machine.
Yeah.
And I've kind of been talking to dad a lot about business, just like, and our dad is
like a really good businessman.
Obviously he's very successful.
And I think one of the reasons our dad is successful is because he just has always
innovated and he's never got stuck in his ways.
And now dad's like so lathered up about AI and like he's just going to, I mean,
my dad is held as he's 62 years old and like I promise you he's going to figure
out AI and like it, like he's just going to figure it out.
He's figured out everything else.
And he's excited about it.
Yeah.
And I think it's like, just be excited.
You know, there's good and bad in everything.
Well, you just got to adapt to it.
It's not taking away the dealership experience.
I mean, like you're still going to buy from the dealership.
Yeah.
I don't know.
It's interesting.
I don't really understand fully how it works though.
Okay.
Like I don't get like, so you're, you're just picking, you're doing everything,
all your financing, all of that.
You're doing all of it on the Amazon website.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So like, is it, so is it going to make, I mean, you'll still have to like find the
right car.
And you know, I go back and forth with this a little bit because what I'm not a
fan of is people buying a car that I've never test driven.
You know, that's why I'm, that's why I'm skeptical about this used in CPO
because it's like, we'll go to the, you go to dealership to test drive it.
Sure.
Yeah.
So like doing it with new cars, it makes more sense to me because like you
can test drive that anywhere.
I guess my friend's Hyundai Palisade.
That's fine.
But you have to sit in a used car.
Like you got to see it.
I guess you could go sit in it and then, you know, you could still, you know,
do like all the pricing and like the financing on Amazon if you're more
comfortable, but I kind of get how maybe that's a bit of an extra, you're
at the dealership.
They're just going to be like, we'll just do it here.
They're, yeah.
I mean, unless you're not ready to make the decision though, I guess.
I mean doing like a full 360 on that.
There is something that I think that I would like about, okay, let's say I
picked out the car, like I saw it in person, like I went to the dealership
and I was like, I'm not ready to buy, but then later I was like, okay,
I am ready to buy.
There is something that I see.
It's like, okay, well then I can go through all the financing stuff.
If I get stuck on a question, I can do my own research in that moment
instead of like feeling like maybe I'm getting sold by someone or like
making the wrong decision because I think that's like a really big fear
that people have in the dealership.
So I mean, I see that aspect of it, but then I feel kind of bad for
the salesperson who like spent the time giving you the test drive.
Yeah, but I'm sure they still get the car.
I mean, that's how it works in the auto industry.
It's got to.
The salespeople still have to make money.
And like it's so weird.
Like when you sell cars and like someone calls, like it's called,
it's, I'm not worried about the salespeople.
Okay.
They're going to get credit.
They're going to get paid.
If they test, if you, if they had a positive contact with you,
it's, it's their deal.
Okay.
And that's industry news.
Right.
Well, that's good.
Yeah.
Well, now it is time for ditch the drive-through where we give you
an easy dinner recipe to mix it up to get you out of your dinner rut.
Dinner rut.
You have one?
I made mom's chili last night.
It was excellent and I made hot dogs.
This is a barb sumpi hack.
Hot dogs in the crock pot.
Barb sumpi is always doing hot dogs in the crock pot.
I mean, I only had like a pack of eight and I was like,
what am I going to do with these?
Go put them on the grill.
Like I'll just put them in the crock pot.
I don't have to think about it.
See, barb sumpi would go the extra step is she would put them
on the grill because she likes the looks of grill marks.
And then she put them in the crock pot.
But yeah, I mean, you got to crawl walk around until you
get to that level.
We had such a fun dinner last night.
We made barbecue pulled pork nachos because I prepped that
pork butt and then my husband was in bed all night.
And I wanted to have, you know, I was like,
this is going to be kind of hard to like make nachos for the
kids because like George doesn't like cheese.
The kids don't like sauce.
I was like exhausting me.
So I was like, you know what?
You're all getting your own freaking sheet pan.
And that's what I gave all three of my big kids their
own sheet pan and they had so much fun and they actually
tried food that I that they normally wouldn't have tried
because they wanted to see if they put on their nachos.
So I spread the chips out.
I said, you're all getting chips and you're all getting pork.
Like that's a non-negotiable.
Like I'm not going to have had he's not just having cheese.
And then I was like, okay, who wants barbecue sauce on them?
They all wanted barbecue sauce.
So then I put the barbecue sauce on.
Two of them wanted salsa, which I felt like was impressive.
Howdy, of course, wanted cheese.
George wanted lettuce, which I added after the oven.
And I think that's oh, and they all wanted sour cream after
they came out of the oven too.
So that was fun.
So I put like any of the, you know, I put the meat and the cheese
and the salsa on before.
Really, you just need the meat and cheese on though.
I stuck them in the oven for like 350 for like two minutes.
Now my only note is like when you first pull the sheet
pans out, they're hot.
So you do have to like give it a couple of seconds.
Not long.
Like I probably pulled them out of the oven by the time
they were out for three minutes and they like were warm,
but fine.
And then I put them all down.
We doctored them up.
George and Howdy both asked for seconds.
Like they had so much fun to their own little plate of nachos.
No, it's fun.
It's an activity within dinner too.
And if you have not made these nachos yet, you have to.
They are such a showstopper.
I made them when I was living at my parents' house
during our renovation and I made some for my dad
and he couldn't believe what I had served up to him.
He couldn't believe it.
It's the best thing to do with leftover pork.
The best thing to do.
The leftover pork or go to the pork, go get it ordered
and just go pick up pulled pork from your gas station
or your barbecue, local barbecue joint.
No, and that's something I do when we're hosting
like another family sometimes.
I'll be like, hey, you know, we're going to have
barbecue pork nachos and then when the family comes,
I give them their own sheet pan, like a big one.
And I'm like, I lay out all the fixings
and I'm like, here you go, build your own nachos.
And then it's fun.
And it feels like, I mean, it's one of our favorite meals.
It so feels like a date night or like you went out
to like a bar and like ordered these nachos.
And they're so good.
The key is though, it's sweet paper raised
barbecue sauce.
Like I don't know if we said that.
Don't even try to go get like some like, you know,
you know, indie barbecue sauce.
It won't work.
No, sweet baby raises the is the game changer
in the situation.
Okay.
