long right-hander

This is a specific type of corner: it turns right and lasts a long time. If the car looks slow or awkward through it, it often means the tires aren’t gripping as well as they should.
A long right-hander is a circuit corner that turns to the right and spans a longer arc, typically demanding stable balance and good traction. If a car looks “lazy” through it, it usually suggests the car isn’t generating enough grip or rotation to carry speed confidently.
over-take
"The problem with that failure, essentially, to maximize the third sector, is if you want to be able to overtake, you've got to run as close as you can to the cars in front of you in those last two or three corners."
Overtaking here means getting past another car. If you can’t get close to the car ahead—especially near the end of the lap—it becomes much harder to make a move.
In F1 context, overtaking depends heavily on how close you can run to the car in front, especially in the final corners. If the leading car is hard to follow, the trailing car loses downforce and traction, making it difficult to set up a pass.
run as close as you can
