pit stops
In racing, a pit stop is when the car pulls into a special area to get new tyres or other quick fixes. The team works fast so the driver can go back on track as soon as possible.
Pit stops are scheduled or unscheduled pauses during a race where teams perform maintenance tasks such as refueling, tyre changes, and mechanical adjustments.
