all wheel drive

All-wheel drive means the car can send power to more than just the front wheels. That helps it keep traction when the road is slippery or uneven.
All-wheel drive (AWD) means power is sent to more than one axle, typically to both the front and rear wheels. In this segment it’s used to describe the Compass 4XE’s traction capability, especially for off-road-style grip management.
