of Let's Talk Cars Radio, Dave Polash. Happy Saturday, Amnica. Here
listen to Let's Talk Cars Radio on w k QA Freedom Radio. You ever
start a show and uh one of your counterparts that are doing like I want to go fast? Yeah, it was either Rickey Bobby I want to go
fast. I'd say it was more like big guy in a little coat on
cameras over here trying to get me to start laughing. As as the cameras
come on. You guys are hanging out with me. Camera chaos and Nate
VB. And it is Saturday. It is a great day for a radio
show. It's a great day so far for a car show. The weather
over here is has held off somewhat. It's supposed to rain today all day,
but so far we've been okay. I haven't seen the thunderstorm starts,
so I know that. Um, they had cars and coffee chest peak this
morning. I believe my friends did. They did. Um, I'm sorry
I couldn't roll out of bed now I had. I had some commitments and
stuff I had too, So guys, I hope it was a good turnout for you. Guys. Sign o. There's a bunch of different stuff going
on in the area, So get out there and enjoy it all. It's
been crazy summer. It's booked with tons of cars, shows, tons of
events. There's no reason for you guys not to be out there enjoying yourself.
As I say, peck kids up, put him in the car and make an adventure out of it. And like I said, get online and
just scroll through and see all the different stuff that's scheduled up. On that
note, so we've been talking with Nate. So Nate is out there at
Caffeine and chrome, and he's out there in Mount I know I'm gonna mess us up. It's Mount Atna Atna. Yeah, I think he'll he'll correct
me. I'm sure if I'm wrong. So he does an event out there.
He's got one out there July sixteenth, from two to five. He
wanted to come out there and set up out there, and I would love to go out there, but I'm committed to a different event. Unfortunately,
Hey, guys, keep a signing this so alid different events. People are
sending the stuff over and over and over again, and I'm very humbled with all the different stuff we get invited to. And as I've told you guys
before, it's just hard. We're all over the place. If you guys
saw, you know, we we were in Hawaii and then we're in Vegas and we're just we're everywhere. I'm trying to be so much different things.
It's just very very hard for all three of us to try to coordinate and get to all the different things. But we try. But Yeah, So
he's got this event he's started up. He's had it a little bit over
a year now. He's starting to build some momentum and I think it's great.
Because I tell you, the only way we're going to continue our passion into carcrafting and everything else that we do is too can you continue to kind of keep on doing it and over and over again, get more people and get the younger generations involved with it and grow from there. So he has
this event. He's got it set up with a local restaurant that's there,
and so they're gonna be out there. So it'll be July sixteenth from two
to five. They're gonna have some prizes and stuff that you guys can win,
and they're looking for a great turn out there. So I'm really hoping
that that hits off. Is here's what I'm gonna say. You know,
if you guys are looking to do a cruise with one of your guys's, you know car clubs, put a cruise on. Put it, you know,
make it a trip, a full day trip trip, go ahead and cruise on out there with your guys cars set up out there's show them some love and then you know, see the local area, hang out, sightsee a little bit, and then cruise back and make a great day trip.
It wouldn't make a great day trip. Yeah, So, um, if
you guys need to get a hold of him or anything like that, go ahead and look him up. I think he's got it set up for as
caffeine and chroman. If you guys cannot find him, go ahead and reached
out through me and I'll connect you guys. But it's at five oh one
grill and tavern is actually the restaurant that they're going to be out at, and um, you guys should be able to find the information there. Back
I said, if you cannot reach out through me, and I'll go ahead and get you guys set up and hopefully we can put us a little bit more stuff together for you guys in connection. I'll get see if I can
get Cameron on it. I think Cameron scrolling through trying to find some stuff,
now, aren't you am There is actually a post that I am trying to find. Um, so I can yep. And like I said,
I keep on getting stop. People send me things all the time. Like
I said, we're just trying to connect and get too much stuff. But
with it being summer, some of the things sc getting pretty full. As
you guys know, we're trying to put together an event for ourselves supposed to be a pretty huge event. If it works out, I'm not gonna give
you all the details. It looks like if we do, it's going to
be in October. We're trying to put all the pieces together. I'm trying
to do something for our charity event. You guys know that every single year
during Christmas, we choose eight families and we take them on and put Christmas Dinner for them together and all the presents for their kids. So we take
the families on who have kids that they can't provide, or they run in some hard times, or whatever it may be, for putting presents underneath the treat for them. So we take them on and get together a family.
We do the clothes, we do their toys. Like I said, we
do the food, we do it all. We've been doing this in our
eighth year or doing it now every year it's got bigger and bigger. Big
shout out to the NAPA in the BDG group because they come in hard with helping us with this. So has triple a over the past. We've had
seventeen streets, surf Shop, who else, so many different people that have joining. We had some of the different churches in the group had anonymous donations
from group, and of course all of our listeners over the years, and big shot to you guys who are coming with huge donations over the years to help us do this. It is a very large um thing we put on.
We've been away a car one year, you name it, We've done it, and like I said, every year it's got bigger and bigger.
I'm very humbled to have started this charity myself and then had all of our sponsors come in and help us with it and gotten bigger and bigger and ahead.
No no, I found my event. Um. You know, out
of all the events and everything, our friends over at Pontiac of Coastal Virginia is hosting their event today at Baytown Columns. They are at four pm.
Okay, so if anybody wants to go over there check out something four pm, right, ye, four pm. Let's see if it says what time
too. It doesn't, but four pm until whatever time. Definitely, I
am a member. Even though the bad am is in a million, Pece
is still in the garage and everybody keeps on giving me a hard time.
But yeah, like I said, you know, we keep on teaming up with a lot of different people, all their charities and stuff. Like I
said, you know, mine is very close to our heart, so we've been trying to do a lot with that. So hopefully, if everything goes
all right, we will put something together, something really cool right before we jump in so we start. Our charity program starts in August where we start
vetting our families and getting our family information, and then of course it takes us all the way up to December to do ours. So I'm kind of
hoping to do one last big push in October for a big event to raise enough money to finish off everything we need for December. So if it happens,
I'll let you guys know, it'd be a great event. That's another
one there, mister Fred, Old man Fred, that you may want to attend if we end up getting the approval and getting the permits for that event, because that event, we're hoping it's going to be a very large event.
And here's the good news, guys, if we get the okay to do this event, it'll actually be here on my property, so'll be out here the Mega garage and the five acre farm. So that's the reason why
I can't say that we're actually be able to do it, because it's going to requires to pull some permits to have it out here on the farm, but if we do it, it'll be a big event where all of our listeners we'll be invited to come out here to my farm and do the event.
So hopefully we'll be able to do it. But we'll see. I'm
still waiting for some pieces to be put together, so you guys keep your out and I'll keep you guys posted, but I kind of want to put that out there. On that note, let's get into some car stuff.
You guys ready, yeah, I'm ready. Okay, Well, here we
go. Let's talk about tires. So spend some time this week. What
I love doing is you guys know, bounce around to different shops and owners and stuff that I know and I love now that we're back here home and it's been really really interesting to sit and talk about different things when it comes to tires, especially in our area, because inspection really shines an eye on tires. We all know you've gone through, if Cameron's gone through it and
stuff, I know you have your view on tires, and especially when it comes down to inspection, people burn through tires. I mean, we just
you do the problem with it is is you don't realize it because, as I say, people just get in their car, they turn the key, if the thing starts, and take somewhere they need to go. That is
the normal person's daily activity. Yeah, where it is it is? I
mean, you're just getting your card thinking about We were just talking about this the other day and then I was also talking to Matt about it on Instagram Live because they were calling me out about my three It's true though, you admit, right, yeah, no, I mean you get in your car and because you don't really think about it until you know something goes on or something, you know, you start to hear something that's unusual wise okay, and you start to kind of like put in there that aren't car people are just if that key turns and it starts the car, then they're going to
drive the car to point A and point B and then sometimes point C without even realizing that something's actually going on with the vehicle. Most people will actually
bring their vehicle into the repair shop when a check engine light comes on.
Don't do that. Go get that vehicle checked out before the check engine light
actually comes on. So you can prevent those things going because once that check
engine light comes on. That means there is a problem going on. Okay,
you know, it means the cars found something when you could have probably prevented it from happening. The biggest problem that we run into is when it
comes to maintenance is the lack thereof. And I'm not chastising anybody because everybody's
kind of the same. The problem with tires is it's the last thing on
the maintenance list. Does if that makes sense, Like people will do their
oil change, you know stuff, they'll they'll just stop and I actually didn't have my oil changed. And if you're at a garage, it's just a
speedy kind of type garage that just quickly does work, you know what I mean. Just they're the in and out type express type of garage. They
just knock out the oil change they're sending down the road. That's not really
what you want, to be honest with you. What you want is you
want a garage that is going to do your oil change, but truly right it's truly going to kind of comb over everything and tell you and be like, hey, you know you're the inside of that tires wearing and I don't think it's from low tire pressure. I think it's because something in the suspension
is wearing out or whatever it is, because you shouldn't be just wearing the inside or the outside of that tire and the rest of tires will are starting to look fine. Now you go down the road and the tires are wearing
out and you don't even know it until it's a problem or a tool.
It comes time for inspection or when you hear pop, right absolute until you hear pop, So what is that happening is is your car? Then you
take for inspection and somehow the inspection guy becomes the problem. And I always
kind of hate that because I was in that boat for years where the inspection guy became the problem, and I was the guy who owned the inspection station.
So then all my staff seemed to be the jerks because they have to inform you that you didn't do general maintenance on your vehicle, you have two tires or wearing oddly, and by the way, now they don't pass inspection or whatever it may be. So with that being the case, you never
want to be that guy. But you also are trying to do a justice
to the customer and in form the customer and tell them what's going on.
So I guess the question I'm asking is how do we bridge that gap?
And how do we how do we break the news without breaking the news?
Well? And how do you retrain the customer too? I know I'm different,
Okay, So I get it. I I literally know. And they'll
tell you. I walk out to my car every day and walk around my
car. It's just it's a natural thing for me. I don't I don't
go and just jump in my car, up in the door and jump in my car. I walked my car every day and I kind of just give
it a walk around before I get in it. But not all the time.
Nine out of ten times I do. You've seen me do it a
bunch of times, Like you go to get in my passionate door and you're like, why am I? Why are you on the passionor's side? How
many times you ask me that, why why are you on the pastor's side.
I'm like, I'm not, I'm just walking around the vehicle. It's
a habit for me. I'm not saying I can train everybody who listens to
the show to do that. But if you did it once a week,
just once a week, don't catch things. And what I mean is just
tilt your head down. Take a look at your tires. Does it look
like it has all the tread? Does the car? Cameron's notoriously bad for
this. Does your car have a leak that it didn't have a week ago?
He just gave me the worst face. Ever, how many times does
that happen to you? Honestly, how many times has it happened to you?
I mean, it's happened to I'm not the best person to ask about it, okay, because I was just telling Nathaniel when I came into work my check engine light came back on, and I was like, you know, this is probably a good topic for the radio show. Like it's the
best topic for the radio show. Driving a car for so long and it's
your car and you're behind the wheel twenty four seven of that car when you feel something and you go try to tell somebody, You're like, I feel this, and they're like, oh, no, that doesn't you feel your car? Though you feel it because it's your car, and you think he's
a car hyper Crown. Yeah, no, no, I think I think
you are. But here I agree with you. It is your car.
I absolutely agree with you. It's your car and you feel things that nobody
else feels. Because I'm that way too. I can get my car,
go down the driveway, make a left out of the driveway and be maybe one hundred feet from the driveway and go, ah, something don't feel right and be absolutely right. And I'll literally sometimes either drive it or I'll turn
around, come back to the driveway and check something on it. People don't
do that, but that's me because I'm like, ah, something doesn't feel righte with cameras every week. Yes, it's problems. I don't even know
why we're talking about it. He's like, you've been cameras like, oh
different, and I'm like, we're another problem. What are you? What
are you talking about? That's what I told him. I was like,
well, I know. I was like, so this is how I started
the conversation. I was like, where my check engine light came on?
I was like, and that, you know, that's usually normal. I
was like, well, not normal, but normal for me that I've known because I know I need to replace the O two censor and I just haven't done it. I was like, but this time RPMs were under a thousand,
and that hasn't happened before. I was like, so, I kind
of feel like there's something notes. So when I actually got home, I
did a pull into the driveway. I drove the car around the block with
the radio off, trying to listen. You always drive with your radio off.
Hold out for two seconds. I didn't think it was gonna spire around
this way, but it didn't. It's funny one it does. I gotta
take quick commercial break. When we come back, maybe we'll continue talking about
tires. I don't know. We'll get the train back on the track.
You guys, hold tight, I'll talk to you soon. You're listening to

automotive specialist. Now back to your host, Dave Palach. Hey, guys,
welcome back. So I'll give you guys another funny, just completely off
off topic. The AC in the studio is, uh, it was like
summer feel it feels it feels like summer up here. Uh, it's not
working correctly, so so they're they're here working on the AC trying to get right. The AC itself is actually working, but the zone system is not
working correctly. So yesterday I came up here to do some work in the
student studio. It was like eighty five degrees. I was like, oh,
I will not be working in the studio today. So it's kind of
literally were like, I'm surprised your computer. It like eighty five degrees for
servers and stuff is definitely not a good thing. So yeah, surprised the
computer stayed up working. So just so y'all know, a little hot here
and it's not me this time. Yeah, as you guys know, you
know, I told you I suffer from migraine. Is really bad, so
I gotta stay cool all the time. Usually these guys, you don't know,
when we're on the air, they're up here freezing to death because I have to keep it really cold. So there, it's actually it's actually it's
like it's actually they're reverse today. So like to tell you how cold it
is in the old house that we had back in the day, it was fifty eight degrees in my bedroom and at any given time it was like you, it was really cool. But I uh, for people with migraines,
the cold temperature keeps us regulated. And I know fifty eight degrees sounds crazy,
but fifty eight degrees is actually a really good temperature. Uh as far
as keeping migraines, I won't say a way, but keeping them at bay for a little while. So you could walk in my room and feel like
a freezer box. But it helped me so anytime. Yeah, fifty eight
central is completely different from fifty There's a reason. There's a reason why your
wife wants five different points on me right on the bed. Well, and
I feel bad, but it's it's it helps keep me regulated. So anyway,
yeah, we're in the heat today. So but yeah, if you
guys never experienced being fifty eight degrees all the time, might want to try it one time. It's it's very comfortable to me, but I'm sure it
will run people away. Yeah, yeah, I think that's what I just
looked out on the Yeah, it's like eighty four right now. It's a
little hot in here. So back to Carns about tires and did you see
before we get off that topic, I did actually want to talk about did you see the police officer I don't know where he was, um, but it's going around right now that pulled up behind a ninety four year old grandfather and he was riding on I guess his tire must have popped and got off the rim and stuff. So basically the officer pulled up behind him and was
like, hey, you can't. You can't just drive with no tire.
So then he realized he was ninety four years old and replace the tire for him, and then the grandson actually sent in a review and stuff like that.
Yeah, it's like I said, it's fine to me that it happens all the time. The tire conversation, Like I said, it never really
goes away. I always seem to as I go to shops run into the
tire conversation over and over and over again. People are always like, well,
I just don't understand. And here's as always said, you should never
buy one tire. It's the worst thing you can do. I have many
times ran into the conversation. We're like, well, I just got to
tire three months ago, why do I need to get a tire? And
why am I need to buy two? Because now they bought they bought one
tire and then the other tire fails. Let's say you buy the left hand
tire and you replace just the left hand tire, and now the right hand tire three months later fails. And now the garage that you're at, because
what a lot of times happens, unfortunately, is is you're not committed to one garage and you're bouncing from garage to garage, which I tell you is the worst thing in the world to do. So now you're at this garage
and that garage says why you should buy two front tires? And now you
have a bad taste your mouth and you go, why just bought a left tire? Why do I need to buy two front tires? And I have
to explain to them. I'm just like, well, you bought one,
you bought one tire. I'm like, so it does matter what type of
vehicle you have, if you have a front wheel drive, if you have a reel drive. It really doesn't. It doesn't matter in this conversation.
But go ahead, I thought all wheel drive, don't you have to replace all tires or it's recommended you should. You should always replace all four tires
and all tires wheel drive. But I'm gonna tell you how this and this
circumstances. It doesn't matter so my knowledge, Okay, go ahead, go
ahead a little bit. No, you do. You always thought that you
need to replace both sides of the tires because it puts stress on the transmission and engine, because they're it does. But that's not where I'm going with
this. You're absolutely right. You're absolutely right. So what Cameron's alluding to
is if you have different size tires on a vehicle, uh, you're putting unneeded stress on a front wheel drive transmission because the rotations for the clutches to try to keep up and keep the tire spitting at the exact same rotation, and different size tires, the transmissions do an extra work and you can wear it on transfers. That's the reason why I've told you guys before, and
a lot of people don't know. If you get a flat tire on the
front wheel drive and you put that spare tire on the front It is designed to take you off the freeway or off the road directly to repair shop and replace that tire if you don't. I have had many people have no transmission
problems ever in their life. They take the spare tire, they put the
spare tire on the car, and then they drive for a couple of days until they decide to go ahead and get a replacement tire, and before I know it, they have a transmission problem. They're like, well, I've
never had transmission problem before, and I'm like, well you do now.
And the reason why is that tire is, you know, half the size of whatever size you have. Normally, that transmission had to work triple time
to try to keep up the speeds and the clutches inside because of the different size tires. And it's not like you and you broke something, and you
broke something in the transmission. You're going underneath the speed limit to try to
get to a safe location. You're got an hour on the freeway on a
spare and you did it for many days, and the transmission had to try to adjust inside to keep both those tires spinning at the same speed. You
have one tire that's half the size that transmission was working overload like you wouldn't believe, and finally it went forget this boom. I've had enough. Now
replaced me too, and the tire. What happens? I mean, I
don't know what else to tell you. That's what happens. So you're not
right, right, but that's that's what happens. So getting back to the
reason why the garage always looks back and here's what. Here's what happens.
You think when you take your car in and this is this happens. I've
been there so many times on the side of the fence of this and watch this happen. After I've been out of the automotive business where somebody's like,
I just replaced the left hand tire. Now you're telling me I need to
tire. Now you're trying you're trying to take advantage of me. I don't
want to do any work to my car. I'm taking my car out of
here. They're not. And here's the reason why. If you put a
left hand tire on your car, okay, and you didn't replace the right hand tire, and three months later you take it to a garage, and that garage is telling you you need two front tires. Does anybody know why
they're wearing tear is different? You're yes. If you put two tires on
your car and this tire right here is brand new and this tire over here is not brand new. Technically, the rotations are off, they are,
and the car is going to eat up the left tire quickly to try to match the tread on the right tire to get it back down quicker. Well,
you can have a pool because you have more tread and stuff like.
There's those a lot of things, but that has a lot to do with it, with the alignment all that kind of stuff. It will try to
tear that left brand new left tire up quicker than that less wear tire on the right hand side to get them to evenly match quicker. That's the reason
why the left hand tire now looks like it needs to be and it won't be completely worn out. It looks like it's new, but it is going
to try to take more spread off that new it's working harder to that tire on that side, So that new tire is gonna get worn out a lot quicker than that used tire that you didn't replace on that side. So when
you bring it in the guy's only trying to help you by going, look, you need to put two tires. You should always buy tires in pairs.
You just should. And that's the reason why. So that garage that
you think is actually trying and take advantage of you is really not. What
he may do is tell you to take that tire off, put two tires on, and keep that tire as a spare, do something like you know.
It may be any of those things, but he truly is trying to take care of you. He's not trying to take advantage of I know you
spent money on that tire three months ago. That tire may now have looked
like it's gone through a war because it's been trying to keep up with a tire that was already worn out, and it may not look like it's new, bright and shiny anymore or for that reason. But that guy really is
giving you good advice, So don't take it out on him. You think
he's trying to take advantage you, he's not. He's actually really trying to
give you truly sounded. He is trying to take you. And by the
way, nobody did you any good because they did they ever get around to the reason why that tire wore out all by itself, and the other ones didn't what's going on underneath the suspension, the suspension in the car, or the steering in the car, or whatever it is. Nobody even addressed that
with you. All they were worried about. They are only worried about selling
you a tire. They didn't do you any justice. They just sold you
a tire and that's it, and sent you down the road. They never
would dug any deeper to figure out why things are wearing out. And that's
the garage. They had no interest in taking care of you. And that's
what happens when you jump from garage to garage to garage. That's why I
always tell you established a relationship with a garage so we can really dig deep and get to the root of the problem to make the car last for you.
Everybody asked me, well, can I take my car somewhere else?
So I'm like, well, you know, we should always keep the records at one place because two years down the road, if something happens, we can go back in the history book and go, oh, wait a minute, this is what we did last time, and why is this happening again?
Well, now here are things or I suggest it. I suggested six
months ago for us to do X, Y and Y and z. Money
was tight yer in that time. I understand money being tight. I raised
two boys. I get it. I know how it is, baseball,
soccer, whatever it is. Money has to stretch, get rate, rainy
day. Yar forgot about that. Huh yeah, even had the word rainy
day right on it. But you know, so I get making money stretch.
But at least you can go back and go Look, we talked about doing the know tirod end or you know, ball joints were starting to get a little bit weak whatever it is, and we didn't do that, and that's probably the reason why this tire now looks like it does. We need
to address some of these problems, and you tire whatever, let's split it up, let's figure it out, and no guys like I take another quick crusher break. When we come back, I got some more for you.
Guys. Hold tight, and uh make sure you take a look at your
tires. Stop you simply you're listening to Dave Collach on Let's Talk Cars Radio.

That's three nine nine one seven one four. JF. Whitlow and Sons
Incorporated. Welcome back to Let's Talk Cars Radio, your automotive specialists. Now
back to your host Dave. Welcome back, guys. Hey, good news.
Um, we got air thanks thanks to our buddy Trace. Tracy came
and fixing for us. So we got air. Now that's a good thing.
So at least we can. It feels cooler in here. You'll get
cool quick. So uh good, take that point we started down. Let's
just say it's it's temporarily fixed and uh apparently I'm getting uh an estimated repair built on Monday. So um send your love and uh get in your donations
too. Uh yeah. So hey, so you know, we've talked about
a lot of stories on this show, uh and stuff new technology and stuff like that, and talking of tires. Wanting a commercial break, Nate was
telling me about so there's gonna be the new gen sensor tire sensor Continentals coming out with a Gen two tire pressure sensor okay, And so basically it's just gonna be updating. I'm gonna get the article out. So yeah, basically
it's gonna do true casting temperature Okay, it's gonna do regular tire pressure wise, it's gonna do mileage estimation, and it's gonna do longevity of the battery, gotcha. So it's just update wise of the tire pressure wise, and
it's gonna have stages wise. So like the icon like Elma kind reminds me
of like a video game wise, So like the tire is gonna like, well really because yellow if it's like it needs a tension red if it has an issue. We get everything from video games. It feels, I feel
like we get every video I think I think ideas become reality, right and the long run, because you know, it's just simplicity wise, right, and it's something that we should really have an everyday cars. So like you
know, I see it, you know, moving from from commercial to you know everyday card wise. Right. So here's the thing. I already have
problems with sensors, right, Like my censure like goes off all the time.
Well only shows tire pressure. So it's like and sometimes it's not even
right, Like Dawn called me today and the tire pressure sensor was on on the camera's and she look, I love my wife. She is like,
I truly will tell you, I believe that my wife is like one of the smartest women that I know. Everybody says my wife's the smartest woman in
the world. I hate using that term because I just think that's a bad
term to use. But I know she's extremely smart. I give her all
the credit in the world for being smart. But with that being said,
when like something goes wrong with the car, she calls me like the sky is falling every single time, and I always have to stop right stop her today and I'm like, stop, take a breath. The world's not coming
to an end, Like just work it through it. She's like, I
can't get air to go on the tire, like the tire lights on it.
It won't take air. And she's flipping out because she I understand she's
got a lot on her plate and she's she's getting ready to go travel again.
And you know, we're constant. I'm not gonna lie. I'm the
worst when people have like unanswered questions. I'm like, so what do we
do back then? We grab textbooks right, right, So what do we
have there? Now we have the internet, so we have Google Google with
our friend like no, no, no, I So I'm I'm the same person. I'm like, okay, so let's work through it. But it
was funny because I was trying not like you're trying not to be like an ass, like you really are, like especially when you're talking to your wife.
Come on. But I'm like, let's work through it. I'm like,
let's start at the basics. Did you take the cap off? No?
It was almost like I was like, you gotta take the cap off the tire to put air in it. Seriously, that was a conversation I
was at. She's like, and I kid you not. I watched because
she's got me on FaceTime. She reaches down and takes the cap off.
I'm like, we're not even at the point you've been taking the cap off yet, we're so she takes the cap off. She's like, it won't
take air. I'm like, she goes, she's at the wall wall.
If you guys don't have a wall while they have free air. It's great
and it actually has a pump with the numbers and tells you how to put the hair. I mean, it almost does it for you pretty much.
And she's like, it won't take air, just keeps something beeping at me.
I was like, did you put money in? You don't have to
put money, it's free, right, yeah. I'm like, I'm like,
I hate to asses, but did you turn it on? And it
goes silent and I hear her goep and I hear the machine come on.
I'm like, and then all a sudden it starts working. But she was
like, I knew she was frustrated, and okay, so I did it to her. I'm gonna apologize on the air and say I'm sorry because I
know I did it to her. I was in a hurry. I borrow
the car yesterday. I think I don't really take her car whole lot,
but I took her car yesterday and I brought it back basically on e and so that made her had to go gas and I always put gas in her car, but I so I did it. So I apologize because I brought
a car back on me. I didn't realize she had to go a bunch
of places to day, so I wasn't really worried about it. I was
just gonna put gas in her car later on, but then she had to go a bunch of places, so her cars on E. Hold on,
I gotta finish the story. So I brought a car back on me.
I broke the husband's cardinal rule. I brought it back on E. And
then I also noticed that when I pulled in the driveway that the tire pressure low light came on it. And it keeps on doing on that tire.
There's nothing in the tire, guys. That reason why I tied. I
think it's on my mind today. But I checked it. There was nothing
in the tire there like a small pinhole. I don't I don't know because
I don't find anything in the tire. It might be a small pinhole.
I need to really take it. But I took it in like three months
ago for the same problem, and they found nothing. They tested the tire
and found nothing. So I'm wondering if it didn't if it's not seed it
well on the rim and maybe that's that. Remember I told you like eighty
miles an hour. I hear like a little like like a wobble at like
eighty. I'm wondering if that rim something and it's not seeing that tire right,
and maybe that's why you haven't break it open. Yeah, I think
that's what I do. It's time for the car to go in anyway,
because it has all that free service on it. So anyway, we're gonna
do all that. I'm gonna go into all that kind of stuff and figure
out what it is. But so I kind of probably created all her troubles
today and I'll pay for it later because she's a smart woman and once I got her just to calm down just a little bit, that she was able to figure out how to put air in the tire. But I'm gonna take
the responsibility for I'm sure what has now made like a completely horrible, horrible day for her. So so, like I said, I I understand tire
woes. I understand like being overwhelmed, and like so I think that's like
when I talk to listeners or listeners send messages and they're like, I had this problem. So like that, I always like gauge it back to like
if it's my wife having that problem, or you know, it could be a guy to having that problem, doesn't matter, But I always like gauge everything off my wife, like being on the side of the road or stuck in a parking lot having the problem because like when she's busy and something's not going right, I swear the sky is swallowing it is all right? So
who we got on the phone? We got Oh friend, he has cut
my head set on. Can't get my head setting a million pieces over here?
Oh hey, all right, old old man Fred, I got a million pieces over here. You gotta figure out how to twist it and turn
it and put it back together. There we go. Maybe all right,
here we go. I can hear you now, hope what's going on?
But okay, alright, well I was listen to the We'll first off before I go any for kudos to date and Cameron, before I forget that.
All right now. The other thing is, I'll checked. I just bought
four tires and went down and I had a leaka slow leak, you know, like you say, walk around the car and there's a slow leak.
So I take it to the guy grove it and pumped it up a little bit and grow it to the place. And he uh was fixing it when
he noticed some bulges in the underside against the rim on the tires and on two of them and then he spotted one on the third one. As I'll
tell you what, give me four new tires today. He had to ord
them and I got him yesterday. Okay, So that's what I did because
I wanted all driving safe old my wife to be safe, and I want the card he safe. So that was a habit that I've always had.
So we did that. But it reminded me of the old days when I
had a buddy of mine that had a fifty five chevallet so back in the day, a little trivia and it had a fifty seven high pod day twenty three under the hood. He raced it all the time. We riding.
Any one night and he takes that thing up to one hundred and ten miles on iron. I heard something go who and I looked out to the headlights.
It was nighttime, and I seen something roll out in front of pass over to the left hand side and going the woods. I said, what
the hell was that? You know? He said, oh, that was
my portal wall. It comes off when we had one hundred and ten.
So we had to pull pull off and walked back and find it. Can't
go out in the dish in the woods and find it, but we did find that one that time. They're sure it didn't. Just figing that pass
that all a little bit didn't when when when they're selling you tires they use the good old term do you love your wife? Oh yeah, oh yeah,
yes, yes, yeah, I got my wife takes scared man, but believe that she does all my driving for me right now so forth, and she's she's a great lady, A great lady. I hope maybe someday,
Uh, y'all gonna be okay, I'm telling you, we're trying to get some out here. You're breaking up. Um um what I um,
what I'm looking forward to is August twenty six and maybe the one in October.
Yeah, sure, I'm gonna definitely get with you with all the different dates. I know October we're gonna try to do the one in October.
Um the August one. I think it looks like that hept honeys are going
to take over the host and of that one for us, and then we'll have the one. So there's gonna be two different ones in October. So
I'll let you know on that one, that's for sure. Okay, So
you don't have the one in August yeah, the one in August, the Hecat Honeys are gonna host, but we'll have with the one in October for sure. Oh okay, I said, saying, okay, well October,
I'll stay in touch with you, yes, sir, for sure. All
right, okay, so you're going in and out. I don't know if
it's you or me or what. I don't know what happened today. Whoa,
Yeah, we're asking Cameron about it, all right? Yeah, I
was. I was looking at Cameron asking why I'm going in and out?
I can I can hear you going in and out too, And I don't know if it's just the connection through the cell phone or yeah. Okay,
all right, Well, look y'all have y'all having a good job with listening every week, and I look forward to it. And even something my alarm
on my on my Alexa to go off five minutes before the photgram. I'm

Virginia Beach two three three three one three one. Liberty Transmission. Welcome back
to Let's Talk Cars Radio. You're automotive specialist. Now back to your host,
Dave Palach Hey guys, welcome back. So here's one for you.
I found this one kind of interesting. Nate was talking about it, and
I had a little research on it. It's kind of interesting. So you
know, I've told you guys some crazy NASCAR stories, and I thought I had some pretty once. Right, you never know what we're gonna do it
again? No, no, I got it. But well I think they'll
do Chicago again and all. Honestly, that's gonna sound dumb. I thought
it was only that race was only happening in Las Vegas. I didn't know
they were doing the same. They're gonna try to do Las Vegas, right,
it was Adie race before they're gonna do they're gonna do Nascar. I
think they're Before we dive into the story, I guess we need to ask questions. So now they're actually taking NASCAR off of the left, sure,
sure, and now actually adding like it onto cities and left turns and right turns and stuff we had. I mean, I know you guys, I
know you guys have only been so you gotta excuse them because that's my fault.
I've only taken them to you know, when when they were younger, I only took them to like you just you know, organized tracks, Richmond, Darlington. I think we did what Martinsville one time. So no,
I didn't. Never took you guys to the Daytona. I took you to
Darlington Darlington. So but yeah, so you know, NASCAR has done road
courses, you know, for a while, and then they eliminated some of them and stuff. The hype is to try to find new fans by taking
it into the city streets. That would bring much. I think it will
too, I really and it has obvious thing is like nobody wants to watch left turns all the time, especially a lot of people do if they have a huge NASCAR they do. But no, I'm talking about those that complain
that's their biggest complaint. Well, the biggest complaint is we've taken NASCAR.
Take a Nascar Nascar as far as then that's just my opinion. It's shared
by a lot of people. I'm just I'm from this school of if you
want to chear up a million dollar car, let them tear up a million dollar car or a twillion dollar whatever it is. I will agree with you
that because if I get in first and like one to now they're doing what segments they call it or something. If I'm in first, why do I
have to pause my first and then go all right? Line back up with
me so you can have a chance to you you were a part of a breed of people who will agree with you on that too. Like it's just
how do you please so many people? I don't know. We we we
talked about the So apparently this guy decided to break into the NASCAR track in Chicago and race his own corvette on the track. Uh break in? Yeah?
Yeah, basically I guess he just like moved a barrier over and just started racing his c a Corvette around the track? Do they not have like
security? But how are you gonna catch a car? Emotion? And that
kind of thing. It was like, you know, they were talking about
like it's kind of a noticeable that you know, an unmarked car is driving around, especially when the races suspended. I was just about to say,
like did nobody notice, like what color was the corvette? Number? One?
Doesn't matter of color, don't even matter what point? Corvette's not quiet,
so you wouldn't know. Yeah, yeah, some person. Well here's
the thing. For probably the first like two laps, you think it's like
probably like one of the NASCAR drivers out there just testing the track. And
then after a while ago, who's this guy out there on the track.
I mean, trust me. Look, look I'm gonna tell you, and
I've talked about on the show, I have some NASCAR stories. I will
implicate one person. I'll say Kyle. Kyle can tell you. So we
we got some NASCAR stories and we we we hung out a lot of tracks in our younger years. We met a lot of cool drivers, a lot
of teams that we got to hang out with and stuff, and we we hung out with some people and has some really good times and has some really crazy stories to tell. I can't implicate anybody else, um, but there's
some crazy stuff that happens when you're out of the track for the weekend.
You meet some really cool people that are in the NASCAR business. And do
you know that this corvette was bright yellow with flames on it? It was
apparently it was a bright yellow corvette with red flame details and could be stuck, could see being stopped by Michigan Michigan Avenue. And yeah, like I
said, oh there's pictures, I'm gonna Carra's pulling it up. But like
I said, I mean, so there's some shenanigans to be had out of the courses. I honestly tell you that this does not surprise me by it.
I'm looking at the photo. I'm sorry, but yeah, if you
would have that car belonging on the track, if you guys go take take a look look it up on line. I see the picture Cameron brought it
up. You would assume that car belong It almost looks like Red Bull.
I'm not gonna lie. It almost looks like they would have I don't know,
Okay, red Bull in that car. Now, I'm just gonna say
that car looks like it belongs on the track. But like I said,
many shenanigans happen out during race weekends. So I mean you just now no,
yes, I do, But no, I was just I was just gonna say, crazy things happen out of the track. We spent many years,
many years out there at the NASCAR track, and like I said, we met a lot of cool people. Um, Like I said, we
got to hang out with drivers, uh team We had a couple of team team owner run ins with team owners that were kind of cool run ins and had we had a lot of different things. Clint Boyer, we raced Clint
Boyer, UM and golf cart, I will say that. And it was
one of those situations that you see that meme you know I'm talking about, where these like you start racing. It's like he's not raced you. Yeah
he didn't. He blinked. They kind of start off at one of those
and then they start racing us. Uh. So that was a really cool
experience to be on on the golf cart. Was actually we're trying to get
away. No they so I don't think they were truly racing us at that
moment. But then because racers are racers, you realize Coyle was in the
moment. It was turned into the moment we were actually headed. I can
tell that story because that's a pretty clean story. Um, we we're headed
to um go get our media passes. So we just got onto the track
and we had to go get our media passes and we were on the backside of Richmond headed to the media trailer and Clint Boyer and a couple. I
want to say, if I was guessing because I didn't know all those people at that time, UM, I want to say, it's probably like a handle like one of their media handlers or something like that. By the way
they were addressed. Clint Boyer was in the passenger seat of the golf cart
and they had come alongside of us in the golf cart, and we had our golf cart was souped up a little bit. We had did some work
to it, so it was kind of fast, and I don't know what they had done to theirs. It was there was mild, really quick,
but definitely wasn't as quick as ours, and um, they come alongside of us, and they were and I happened should look over and I saw it he was he was in races, so that's how I recognized him. And
like and all of a sudden, I kind of killed the gas and went a little faster, and they want to litt fast on the fast. Before
I know, we were clip on the back side the thing. So it
was kind of it was just cool experience. And that's just then when I
say we were and we were close, like it's not like we were fall apart. It got to the point where we were like step the cards were
like close to each other at one point time. So it was just like
cool, cool experience that we had at Richmond at one time and stuff like that. There's little stories like that that I have tons of those from years
and years of hanging out the track and stuff. And I know, I
kind of fell out of NASCAR, and I really have a different vibe for sure. It was back then. It was a different vibe. I couldn't
I've lost a lot of the contacts over the years that I had from then.
Nathaniel hopped in the Toyota nas curb boof with the simulator and as everybody's wrecking and everything, Nate gets first place and everybody's behind him, going whoa twelve year old can do it? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I remember that. Yeah, that's
where I got my first Chevy shirt from UM bought my Chevy shot. Yeah,
I remember that too. Yeah. I mean, well, I said
we had a lot of fun. I had a lot of contacts back then.
I said, I've a lot of my contacts kind of fallen off because for years I haven't gone to the track. But back then, when we
were going to the track regularly, Uh, we knew a lot of people, a lot of contacts, and there was a lot of things that worked out in our advantage for having all those contacts, and when you had those, you have access to a lot of stuff and a lot of people.
You can go a lot of different places. And um, Jack Roush a
really really cool guy, um that you know that just goes back in the days and some things we runnings we had with him over the years and stuff.
So yeah, just really really cool um things. I wish I probably
would have stayed with it a little bit more and spend a lot more time with him, but you know, life took over in different directions and got a lot more busier and I just couldn't do it. But anyway, here's
one for you guys, because we're starting out of time. You guys,
here about the flying armored truck. The flying truck, Yeah, not in
the way you think of in a movie. So apparently there was an armored
truck that had a crash and it went flying and ended up upside down.
In the process of its crash, it lost its contents of money all over the freeway and in the ditch that went that near me. Well, so
they're not saying if they like retrieved all the money, they're they're not saying they're they're not saying how much money was on the truck and if they retrieved all the money, because apparently when the bags came flying out of it, some of them ripped open, so and then they're not they're not saying if some people stopped like and just snag some the bags up, and would you if I'm on my way to work and there's an armored truck that flips, you can guarantee I am locking the brakes up right, And you're not.
You're not gonna take the money? Are you? Are you that guy?
Really? See somebody? I knew you were gonna ask me that quiet.
That's where you rushing. You're asking if somebody else. I mean, it's
I was trying to return to the correct I was trying to. I mean,
I honestly gotta see if I gotta ask this question. When I saw
the story and I started, I was like, oh, I'm gonna talk about that on the show. You and somebody's like, okay, if there
was like four or five bags like lay on the free Apparently if you look at the picture, it looks like it's tough bags, and like, if there's four or five bags, then they got millions of dollars in them and they're just laying there covered by insurance. Man, it's covered by insurance.
I don't know, man, I don't think I could take it. Be
