Nitro Show
"Really, the NHRE Nitro Show has got great sponsors like Jesse Converter's Global Emissions Systems Incorporated,"
“Nitro” usually means drag racing with nitromethane fuel. It’s a special kind of racing that’s known for big power and a unique sound.
A “Nitro” show refers to drag-racing coverage or events centered on nitro-fueled cars (nitromethane). Nitro cars use a different fuel and setup than gasoline cars, producing distinctive performance and sound.
"If you're an over-the-road trucker, the DPFX Fit, catalytic converter replacement is for you."
The catalytic converter is part of the exhaust that helps reduce pollution. Replacing it usually happens when it’s broken or not working well anymore.
A catalytic converter replacement means swapping out the exhaust emissions device that helps convert harmful engine exhaust gases into less harmful compounds. It’s typically done when the converter is damaged, clogged, or failing emissions tests.
"Total Seal Piston Rings, guys. We got a couple of good Hidden Horsepower episodes up there, but the one with Steve Johnson was really good."
Total Seal makes piston rings for performance engines. Piston rings help seal the combustion chamber so the engine makes good power and doesn’t lose pressure.
Total Seal is a piston-ring brand known in performance and racing circles for supplying ring packs that help improve sealing and combustion efficiency. In a high-performance racing engine, the piston rings are critical for controlling blow-by and maintaining compression under load.
"FTI Performance Transmissions and Torque Converter, thank you, FTI. Of course, Redline Synthetic Motor Oil."
A torque converter is an automatic-transmission part that uses fluid to transfer power from the engine to the drivetrain. It helps the car launch smoothly and can be tuned to make acceleration feel stronger.
A torque converter is a fluid coupling used in automatic transmissions that multiplies engine torque at low speeds and allows the engine to keep running while the car is stopped. In performance cars, it’s tuned to improve launch behavior and match engine RPM to the powerband.
"FTI Performance Transmissions and Torque Converter, thank you, FTI. Of course, Redline Synthetic Motor Oil."
Redline makes performance motor oil. Good oil helps protect the engine, especially when you’re driving hard or racing.
Redline is a motor-oil brand commonly used by enthusiasts for its performance-oriented formulations. Oil choice matters in racing because it affects lubrication under high heat and stress, helping protect engine components during hard use.
"for that race to just end on caution and make quick week and NASCAR had a lot of issues, a lot of goodness. And not getting it in, not able to start restart."
A caution is when the race slows down because something happened on the track. Cars have to go slower and follow rules until it’s safe to race again.
In NASCAR, a caution is when race officials slow the field because of an on-track incident (like a crash or debris). Drivers must reduce speed and follow the pace rules until the track is cleared, which can affect strategy and restarts.
"for that race to just end on caution and make quick week and NASCAR had a lot of issues, a lot of goodness."
NASCAR is a popular American racing series with stock cars. Races often slow down for cautions, and that can change who wins.
NASCAR is a major American stock-car racing series known for oval tracks, close racing, and frequent cautions that heavily influence strategy. The way cautions and restarts are handled can dramatically change race outcomes.
"And not getting it in, not able to start restart. It was terrible."
A restart is when the race starts running at full speed again after a slowdown. It’s a key moment because it affects who gets ahead right away.
A restart is the moment racing resumes after a caution period. The order and rules for restarts determine who gets track position and how aggressively drivers can race back to speed.
"And so definitely kudos to Indy car for getting stuff right and getting it together in time. Yeah, the Kremlin of Crime races, they did it right."
IndyCar is a major U.S. open-wheel racing series. In this discussion, they’re saying IndyCar handled the situation better than NASCAR.
IndyCar (often shortened to IndyCar/Indy car) is the top open-wheel racing series in the U.S., with cars that are built for road courses and ovals. The hosts are contrasting IndyCar’s race management with NASCAR’s situation in this segment.
"I thought Canadian GP was a great race between those two Mercedes going wheel to wheel and Kimi kept trying to like overtake George and he couldn't do it."
Canadian GP is the Canadian Grand Prix, a Formula 1 race. The host is saying it was a great race because the cars and drivers were battling closely.
“Canadian GP” refers to the Canadian Grand Prix, a Formula 1 race held in Canada. The host is using it as an example of a close, competitive battle between drivers and teams.
"I thought Canadian GP was a great race between those two Mercedes going wheel to wheel and Kimi kept trying to like overtake George and he couldn't do it."
Wheel-to-wheel means two cars are right next to each other while racing. It’s intense because there’s very little room for error.
“Wheel-to-wheel” describes two cars running side-by-side with their wheels near the same track position. In racing, it usually implies very close, high-risk driving where small mistakes can cause contact.
"and Kimi kept trying to like overtake George and he couldn't do it. And, you know, it seemed like if he was getting to George, George seemed a little annoyed"
George is a Formula 1 driver. The host is talking about how he handled a close fight and what might have gone wrong when the car started breaking.
George refers to George Russell, a Formula 1 driver. The host describes Russell as being annoyed during the battle and later suggests the situation may have involved a mechanical issue or driver overdriving the car.
"and Kimi kept trying to like overtake George and he couldn't do it."
Kimi is a famous Formula 1 driver. Here, the host is saying he tried to pass George but couldn’t get close enough to complete the overtake.
Kimi refers to Kimi Räikkönen, a former Formula 1 driver known for his calm, blunt style and long career. In this segment, he’s described trying to overtake George but not being able to make the pass.
"We know he used to call out Max all the time for, for being emotional and angry. You know, when the shoes on the other foot and the, and the kid is applying the pressure, he's kind of lost his cool now a couple of times too."
Max is a well-known Formula 1 driver. The host is saying he’s been emotional before, and now George is acting emotional too.
Max refers to Max Verstappen, a top Formula 1 driver known for aggressive racing and frequent on-track emotion. The host compares his past behavior to George’s reaction in this incident.
“Wheels up” means the car’s tires lift off the ground. That can happen if the car launches too hard or loses traction, and it can affect control and grip.
“Wheels up” means the car lifts off the ground so at least one axle is airborne. In drag racing or short-track racing, it often happens when traction breaks or the car hits a bump/launch angle aggressively, and it can be risky because it changes how the tires grip.
Term
pro stock country cars
"And his pro stock country cars wheels up. It was look great."
“Pro Stock” is a category in drag racing where the cars are built to compete under a specific rule set. The host is saying those Pro Stock cars were launching so aggressively that the wheels were lifting.
“Pro Stock” refers to a specific class of drag racing cars with rules that limit modifications and emphasize performance within a production-based framework. The phrase “country cars” sounds like a transcription/wording issue, but the key point is that they’re talking about Pro Stock drag-racing cars launching and running hard enough to get “wheels up.”
Term
19 light
"And Derek Cramer with a 19 light and then it's two lights. Two good."
In drag racing, there’s a light system that tells you when to launch. A “19 light” is a shorthand for how the timing looked on that start—basically how close it was to the ideal launch moment.
In drag racing, the “tree” has timing lights that indicate when the car is allowed to launch. A “19 light” is commonly used to describe a very late/near-immediate reaction timing reference (often tied to the staging/launch timing window), and it implies the start timing was close to the cutoff.
"All right.
[2605.5s] Grand Prix Monaco.
[2606.6s] Geo.
[2608.0s] Will it carry the weekend?"
Monaco Grand Prix is a Formula 1 race in Monaco. The track is very twisty and narrow, so it’s hard to pass, and where you start (like pole position) matters a lot.
The Monaco Grand Prix is a Formula 1 race held on the streets of Monaco. It’s famous for tight corners, limited overtaking, and the importance of qualifying position—so pole position often strongly influences who wins.
"[2624.0s] Yeah, dude, it's going to be a Mercedes.
[2626.0s] Whoever's on the whoever gets the pole is going to win the race.
[2629.5s] And you know, that's how it works unless they, you know, unless"
Mercedes is a top Formula 1 racing team. Here, the speakers are saying a Mercedes will likely be the fastest and win at Monaco.
Mercedes is a Formula 1 constructor (team) and engine supplier that competes at the highest level of motorsport. In this segment, the hosts are predicting a Mercedes will be the dominant car at Monaco.
"[2624.0s] Yeah, dude, it's going to be a Mercedes.
[2626.0s] Whoever's on the whoever gets the pole is going to win the race.
[2629.5s] And you know, that's how it works unless they, you know, unless"
Pole position means you start the race from the very front. Since Monaco is hard to pass on, starting first can make it much easier to win.
Pole position is the starting spot at the front of the grid, awarded to the driver who qualifies fastest. In Monaco especially, starting from pole can be a major advantage because overtaking is difficult.
"No. It's not a Prius. It goes 196 miles an hour."
The Toyota Prius is a car that uses a gas engine plus an electric motor to help it use less fuel. It’s usually known for being efficient, not for going extremely fast. The podcast mention is likely pointing out a surprising or unusual claim compared to what people expect from a Prius.
The Toyota Prius is a hybrid electric car best known for prioritizing fuel efficiency over outright speed. In the podcast context, it’s being mentioned in a surprising way—contrasting the Prius’ usual reputation with a claim about very high speed. That kind of discussion typically comes up when someone is correcting a misconception or highlighting an unusual build or story.
"It goes 196 miles an hour. It's accelerates zero to 60 in 2.5 seconds."
“Zero to 60” means how fast a car can go from standing still to 60 mph. It’s a quick way to compare acceleration between cars.
“Zero to 60” is shorthand for 0–60 mph acceleration time, a common metric for how quickly a car can speed up from a stop. Faster 0–60 times generally indicate stronger acceleration performance, though it doesn’t fully describe handling or traction.
"I could see it on the Autobahn, you know, peg that 196."
The Autobahn is a major highway system in Germany. People associate it with very high-speed driving, so it’s a reference to how fast the car can go safely.
The Autobahn is Germany’s highway network, famous for long stretches where speed limits may not be enforced. Mentioning it here implies the car’s top speed and stability are relevant for high-speed cruising.
"Matt, not those two. We're talking about an electric car, which means Matt has an opinion."
An electric car runs on electricity stored in a battery. Instead of using gas and an engine, it uses electric motors to move the car.
An electric car is powered by one or more electric motors drawing energy from a battery pack, rather than an internal-combustion engine. This matters because performance, packaging, and even features like instant torque and charging considerations differ from gasoline cars.
"You can't block the throttle in your electric Ferrari and
everyone turns around and looks at no, there's nothing."
The throttle is the control that tells the car how much power you want. If you press it more, the car speeds up more; if you don’t, it stays calmer.
In this context, the throttle is the driver’s request for power—how much the car is asking the drivetrain to do. On an electric car, “blocking the throttle” is basically trying to prevent the car from responding normally, but the speaker argues it still doesn’t create the dramatic noise people expect from a gas car.
"Now they do say that they have a speaker that makes the sound.
They, they, they do have a speaker that makes a sound, but
it picks up the actual sound from the gearbox and from the
rear end gear."
Electric cars are quiet, so some of them use a speaker to make a fake engine-like sound. The idea is to help people notice the car, especially when it’s moving slowly.
Many electric cars use an external sound system (often called “artificial engine sound”) so pedestrians and other drivers can hear them at low speeds. The speaker claims the system can even pick up real mechanical noises from the drivetrain and then reproduce/augment them through a sound source.
"it picks up the actual sound from the gearbox and from the
rear end gear.
So there's actual things turning noises that are ample."
A gearbox is the part that helps the car match the motor’s speed to the wheels. It can create some mechanical noise as the car drives.
A gearbox is the transmission’s gear set that changes the ratio between the motor and the wheels. The speaker is emphasizing that even in an electric car, there are still mechanical noises coming from the gearbox that can be audible.
Term
rear end gear
"it picks up the actual sound from the gearbox and from the
rear end gear.
So there's actual things turning noises that are ample."
The rear end gear is part of the drivetrain that sends power to the back wheels. When it’s working, it can make some mechanical noise.
“Rear end gear” refers to the final-drive/differential gearing at the back of a car, which helps deliver torque to the wheels. The speaker’s point is that the sound system (or the audible noise) can reflect real drivetrain activity from that area.
"I'm going to say, dude, this thing's going to be a financial hit.
It's going to be a, you know, a boondoggle for Ferrari.
Watch.
Well, then it would be a good time to buy the Ferrari stock"
Ferrari is a famous Italian company that makes high-performance supercars. Here, they’re talking about how a new Ferrari could affect the company’s reputation and even its stock price.
Ferrari is an Italian performance-car brand known for high-end supercars and Formula 1 racing. In this segment, the hosts discuss Ferrari’s product impact and even the idea of buying Ferrari stock around a car release.
Person
Giovanni
"Giovanni, you want to get what is it?
Race.
Go get some Ferrari stock and see, see what we do."
Giovanni is the name of the person the speaker is talking to. The clip doesn’t say who he is beyond that.
Giovanni is a person name mentioned as the host’s conversational partner in the segment. The transcript doesn’t provide a last name or context identifying who this Giovanni is.
"Wait till all the recalls.
Maybe they don't have any, you know, that's the thing.
It's still a Ferrari."
A recall is when a manufacturer asks owners to bring vehicles in for a fix because of a safety or compliance problem. The hosts mention waiting for “all the recalls,” implying they expect issues to be identified after release.
"It was designed by the guy who made the original iPhone.
The guy's name is Johnny Ives.
I think is how his name is pronounced."
Johnny Ives is a well-known designer connected with Apple. The hosts are saying the car’s design was influenced by the same kind of design team that worked on Apple products.
Johnny Ives (the host appears to mean Jony Ive) is a designer associated with Apple, credited with shaping major product design language. The segment claims this designer’s group was involved in the car’s design, tying automotive styling to consumer-electronics design leadership.
"and do some navigation stuff or whatever.
[3271.5s] But in the end, for me, they did talk about no double touch experiences."
Navigation is the car’s built-in directions system that tells you where to go and how to get there. If it’s controlled by touch screens, it may take more taps than using buttons.
In-car navigation is the system that provides route guidance using maps and GPS. When navigation is controlled through touch interfaces, it can add extra steps compared with physical buttons or knobs.
"for the passenger to be able to turn the screen to them
[3268.8s] and do some navigation stuff or whatever.
...
[3311.6s] Does that give you that that earkey feel?
[3313.5s] You know, I let people in the passenger seat adjust the radio."
The passenger seat is the seat next to the driver. The host is discussing whether the passenger should handle screen controls to keep the driver focused on driving.
The passenger seat is the front seat beside the driver, and in this segment it’s specifically about who should be able to interact with the infotainment screen. Allowing the passenger to adjust controls can reduce driver distraction, but it still raises questions about safety and usability.
"Like I hate being in a car having to touch a touch screen and then go to a
memo, a menu and then swipe."
A touch screen is the display you control by tapping and swiping with your fingers. Some cars make you use it for things like navigation and music, which can be distracting while driving.
A touch screen is an in-car display you interact with by tapping and swiping directly on the screen. In many modern cars it controls navigation, media, and climate settings, which can shift attention away from the road.
"You need switches or things that you can control while driving.
[3289.4s] Driving is supposed to be about driving."
Here, “switches” means real buttons or knobs you can press without looking at the screen. People like them because they’re easier to use while driving.
In this context, switches means physical controls (buttons/knobs) used to operate functions like audio, climate, or driver-assist settings. Physical controls are often preferred because they can be used by feel with less visual attention than touchscreens.
"This thing is going to drive itself and it's just a Ferrari, which maybe
[3294.4s] we're going to that point at some point.
[3296.7s] Who knows?"
“Drive itself” means the car can do some of the driving for you. When that happens, designers have to think about what the driver should still be doing and how to keep them from getting distracted.
“Drive itself” refers to automated driving—systems that can control steering, acceleration, and braking to varying degrees. As automation increases, the driver’s role shifts, which can change how car interfaces should be designed to reduce distraction.
"Um, the only the only other real big one is this weekend Joe is the Winter Nationals at Willow Bay Raceway, which is the biggest drag race event outside of South America."
Willow Bay Raceway is a drag racing venue in Australia where the Winter Nationals are held. Drag races focus on straight-line acceleration, typically measured by elapsed time and trap speed rather than cornering.
"Um, the only the only other real big one is this weekend Joe is the Winter Nationals at Willow Bay Raceway, which is the biggest drag race event outside of South America."
The Winter Nationals is a major drag racing event referenced here as a big competition held at Willow Bay Raceway. The host frames it as one of the largest drag-racing gatherings outside South America, implying a high entry count and strong competition.
"Um, the only the only other real big one is this weekend Joe is the Winter Nationals at Willow Bay Raceway, which is the biggest drag race event outside of South America."
A drag race is a straight-line competition where cars accelerate over a short distance to determine who’s fastest. Unlike road racing, the key variables are launch, traction, and acceleration rather than handling through corners.
"He goes, but he goes with the PBRC car. He goes, that chassis. He goes, it's better than anything I've ever experienced..."
A chassis is the main frame/structure of the race car. It matters because it affects how the car handles and how well it can apply power while you’re driving.
A “chassis” is the car’s structural foundation—everything that supports the drivetrain, suspension, and driver. In racing, the chassis strongly affects handling and how consistently the car can put power to the ground, which is why Sean ties his best experiences to that specific chassis.
"...ody remembers that. Well, I was speaking with Joe Serena in the next round and we were talking about how h..."
The Nissan Serena is a minivan, which means it’s built to carry people—usually families—with lots of interior space. It’s designed for practical everyday trips rather than racing or high performance. In the podcast, the “Serena” mention is likely about the name, but the car is a passenger-focused van.
The Nissan Serena is a family-oriented minivan designed to carry multiple passengers comfortably. It’s the kind of vehicle that often comes up in everyday driving discussions because it emphasizes space and practicality rather than performance. The podcast context referencing “Joe Serena” suggests the name is being used as a person or brand tie-in, but the vehicle itself is a passenger van from Nissan.
"... our WFO sponsors. That's definitely the way into Valhalla, right? Whether it be Larisse Motorsports Insuran..."
The Aston Martin Valhalla is a very high-end sports car made for fast driving. It’s not a family vehicle—it’s designed to deliver strong performance and an exciting driving experience. The podcast mention is likely about the car as a notable, high-profile model.
The Aston Martin Valhalla is a high-performance supercar built for track-capable driving and dramatic acceleration. It’s significant because it represents Aston Martin’s push into advanced, performance-focused engineering and is often discussed as a “next step” model for the brand. The podcast context suggests it’s being brought up as a destination or goal, likely tied to sponsorship or event talk.
"Here's their number. [7063.1s] Frank Holley dot com. [7064.3s] That's exactly what it is all about."
It’s the website for Frank Holley’s drag-racing school. The host is sharing it so listeners can find out how to sign up.
This refers to Frank Holley’s website, tied in the episode to his drag-racing school. The host is pointing listeners to the program and how to join groups.
"Go listen to Steve Johnson on Hidden Horsepower. [7076.5s] I know you probably think Steve is a little zany."
Steve Johnson is the person the host mentions from another show. He’s the one who talks about piston ring sealing and power.
Steve Johnson is referenced as the guest on the podcast “Hidden Horsepower.” The host credits him with discussing ring seal and how it relates to making power.
"I know you probably think Steve is a little zany. [7079.7s] He is he's zany, but we get him calm down and he starts talking about ring seal. [7084.4s] He's talking about making power."
Ring seal is how well the piston rings seal the combustion chamber against gas blow-by. Better ring seal can improve efficiency and power because more cylinder pressure stays where it belongs, rather than leaking past the rings.
"He's talking about how he had to change his perspective. [7087.8s] He's talking about Dale Earnhardt. [7089.3s] He's talking about snake."
The host brings up Dale Earnhardt as part of the story or inspiration behind the discussion. (The transcript spells it “Earnhardt,” which is likely the NASCAR driver’s name.)
Dale Earnhardt is mentioned in the context of the discussion Steve Johnson is having. The name appears to refer to NASCAR legend Dale Earnhardt (commonly spelled Earnhardt).
"Plus FTI performance transmissions and torque converters. [7107.6s] FTI doing a tremendous job out there."
They’re talking about a company (FTI Performance) that makes racing transmissions. Racing transmissions are built to handle the stress of hard launches and frequent shifting.
FTI Performance is being referenced here as a transmission builder/supplier for racing applications. In drag/pro-stock-style builds, the transmission choice is crucial because it has to survive repeated hard launches and shift events.
"Bernie Speedshop, B-U-R-N-Y-Z-Z. [7113.2s] Bernie's over 100,000 square feet."
Bernie Speedshop sounds like a performance/racing shop. The big building size suggests they do a lot of work for race cars.
Bernie Speedshop is mentioned as a racing-related shop, with the host emphasizing its large facility size. Shops like this typically support performance builds with fabrication, parts supply, and vehicle preparation for competition.
" [7114.9s] That's one of my side projects. [7116.2s] Get the GTO. [7117.1s] I got a power of attorney."
GTO is a car model name people commonly use (most famously the Pontiac GTO). They’re talking about legal paperwork for that specific car.
GTO here is being used as a car reference (the Pontiac GTO is the best-known meaning of the acronym). The context is about changing the title, which suggests they’re dealing with paperwork for a specific vehicle.
"Get the GTO. [7117.1s] I got a power of attorney. [7118.2s] I got to change the title."
Power of attorney is legal permission for one person to handle paperwork for another person. Here it’s being used so someone can change the car title.
Power of attorney is a legal authorization that lets someone act on another person’s behalf. In the automotive context, it’s often used to sign title/registration paperwork when the owner can’t be present.

Gio's face down in the gutter and I'm, I'm tired too.
I haven't had a drink in over a month.
No, I just meant from tiredness and all the swimming eating and consumption.
No one thought you were drinking.
I didn't even go there.
I didn't even go to the beach down in the gutter to me.
It's like a drunken expression.
It is a drunken expression.
It can apply to anything.
It can apply to anything.
It can apply to you.
You're all right, but I can't find anything.
I just meant you're tired.
I'm tired too.
Every time I hear about Gio, Gio's like, ah, I just got out of the pool.
Oh, just got out of the pool.
Oh, I was so busy.
I just got out of the pool.
Yeah.
That's my new thing in and out of the pool.
I'm in the pool session 20 to 30 minutes at a time, you know, nice.
Well, cause what happens is after about 20, 30 minutes, you're all wrinkly.
All right, let me get out.
You got a pot here all like shriveled up.
Yeah.
Leave the, leave the bathing suit hanging on a chair once it's dry about 30, 40.
We don't need the whole thing.
Yeah.
I'm going to get the whole monty around here.
But so I was over there on Memorial Day and just to get, you know, quick swim
story, right?
And we don't mean this is new.
This is new.
They just got this thing, right?
They got a pool.
They've been dreaming of a pool for ages.
Mrs. Giovanni, you know, this was going to be the big retirement thing.
And then they just like, wait a second, why wait till I'm a elderly and dead to do
something cool?
I'm going to do this just like me with a race car.
It's just the same.
It's exactly the same.
And so now they got a pool.
So I'm there, you know, I'm over there.
Like that's what I'm doing.
And so I spent the day swimming as well.
Next day.
Hey, man.
No joke.
Next day.
Like, oh, ah, sore, like, swimming.
What is that muscle?
Where did that happen?
Where did that come from?
So it's got to be doing some good for anyone that's getting in there.
Good job, Gio.
That's my exercise routine now.
You're doing health.
The chat is popping.
Monica there.
Hi to my favorite people.
Hi, Monica.
Good to see you.
Bobby's bug morn down there.
Hello.
It's, you know, my interpretation of what he typed.
Megan out there.
Megan scared the crap out of me.
Oh, right.
Oh, good job.
Megan.
You didn't scare me.
She's just surprised.
She caught.
Yes.
Oh, she's idle.
I was looking at her Instagram posts and I saw Megan.
Megan, you had your Megan view.
You were at the fence up close and personal watching it.
I was loving it.
It was a pleasant surprise.
I wish it would have been there to meet up with you, but man,
I was like, there it is.
I was like, oh, that's cool.
I was like, that's cool.
It was a pleasant surprise to see a friendly face.
Megan out there who I, you know,
Didn't get out into the crowd as much as I would have liked.
Didn't get into the pits as much as I would have liked.
I just didn't.
It's been weird this year.
I don't know why,
but I haven't really had what I would deem free time.
To get out there and do something.
I don't know why.
Talk about personal
personal
personal
personal
was like, oh, my gosh, so great to see you.
Dave and Amy were there.
Two great patriotic friends.
Kevin, Sacramento Racing Fan was there.
My friend, Hanora was there.
A lot of people went to this race, guys.
This was a really great race.
It was. Is it a 10 out of 10?
We're not giving 10s out of 10, right?
Like, is it a nine out of 10?
Yeah, I think it maybe could have been like an 88 to a nine.
We're using decimal points.
Couldn't have been much better from the finishes and the finals
and the the way it all worked out and the way everything worked out.
Sold out crowd packed house like that place.
Could have. Yeah.
Not held anybody else like that's it.
Packed to the rafters like no more.
Don't advertise Saturday anymore
because people there will not be room for people.
That's the kind of crowd we had on Saturday.
No room to maneuver.
That was the Saturday crowd.
That's right.
I loved your announcement when you're like,
if you're walking up to the gate, you'll still get a ticket.
Yes, you're not going to get a seat, but come on in.
Yes, we can accommodate you.
They told me they're like, no, listen, when you say that,
make sure that people who are like in line that don't go walking away
and like, oh, well, we can't go.
Let's go home.
It's like, all right, I will.
I will do my best.
But it was a great race.
I spent a little time in Washington, D.C. as well.
The old Haunt drove by Sirius XM.
Got a couple of great meals with my buddy Slash.
Had a good time.
And my friend Bill, whose nickname was Slash,
because he was like my attorney slash agent slash
Constantly Airy, advisor, many different
acts of the war in the early career.
So we hung out good times.
Great race. Can't wait to go back.
Can't wait to go back.
But, you know, Megan, at some point, you know,
I don't know if you are willing to turn on your camera.
I would love to hear your perspective of the of the event at some point.
But let's let's get going.
I see Bobby's bug barn is down there.
What's up, Bobby? How are you?
Bobby. Hey.
This is going to be a fast paced show because not because we want to jump off
so quickly. It's just because we have so much to cover.
So.
You know, the Indy 500, the final lap, right?
Let's just start there.
Indy 500 day tremendous.
It was a great celebration.
No Grand Prix of Monaco, but the Grand Prix of Monaco is this weekend.
I kind of in the morning didn't like it in the mid afternoon.
Thought it was just fine.
I got my my Formula One race in.
Lewis Hamilton, good run.
Best run for Lewis with Ferrari period and the story.
This camey Antonelli is incredible.
But let's let's hone in on the final lapse of the Indy 500.
This is why it is the greatest spectacle of racing.
And I think to myself that this David Maluchus is, you know,
waking up 23 nights a week.
I was so close that I wasn't.
I have your own request.
Oh, how do you?
It was mine to win.
But he said he said all the right things.
That kid said all the right things.
I'm honored to have been a part of that moment.
But on the inside, you know, he's got to be thinking if I had just
did something different, I don't want to suggest what it should have been.
But something different somewhere in that last half lap.
Well, man, not like I win.
That's what he needed to do.
Touching wheels.
Come on.
She was going to.
So I think you should have just kept.
There were a couple of times where he was swerving, where I felt like he.
Was scrubbing too much.
So he could have.
Right.
They could have just stayed going forward and stayed, try to stay in front of him
instead of move back and forth.
They were fighting in the Pacman.
They were fighting in the pack and he was weaving around.
And I think he was cut.
He cut some of his own speed.
But but in the end, the the Rosenquist, he was like fast all day.
And the Shank racing, they were they were leading.
They had a great car all day.
And so anyway, Indy 500 amazing Coke, 600.
But but how about though, you got to give kudos to Indy Indy car.
They had that caution come out, you know, and they quit quickly, regroup the cars
and got that last the final lap.
Green, white checkered run in.
And you're like, could you imagine how disappointing that would have been
for that race to just end on caution and make quick week and NASCAR had a lot of
issues, a lot of goodness.
And not getting it in, not able to start restart.
It was terrible.
The whole NASCAR situation would, you know, they kind of put your day a little bit.
And so definitely kudos to Indy car for getting stuff right and getting it together in time.
Yeah, the Kremlin of Crime races, they did it right.
They did it right.
So it was awesome.
You got to get a one and, you know, did kind of ruin the whole
Monaco spectacle and everything.
I thought Canadian GP was a great race between those two Mercedes going wheel to wheel
and Kimi kept trying to like overtake George and he couldn't do it.
And, you know, it seemed like if he was getting to George, George seemed a little
annoyed and, you know, who knows, maybe the car broke or maybe George drove it
a little overdrove it and had it break because right.
That's very possible.
On him, we don't know this kind of stuff, but, but definitely George lost his
cool once the car broke and he did.
You know, he did get a big fine for throwing all the stuff and, and, you know,
I'm being, you know, being a little immature, man.
We know he used to call out Max all the time for, for being emotional and angry.
You know, when the shoes on the other foot and the, and the kid is applying
the pressure, he's kind of lost his cool now a couple of times too.
So, you know, maybe 007 is not as cool as he comes across.
Clearly not.
Clearly not.
The kid has won four in a row, man.
Four in a row.
The first person in history to do that, to win four in a row to start the
career or whatever that is first, first, first win consecutively.
Yes.
That's three or more from the pole.
Yeah.
And who's going to stop him?
He's the real deal.
Seems he's the real deal.
The car is wicked fast and who's going to stop him like this?
And they got to pull his passport and not let him out.
That's it.
That's it.
That's the department of state.
And you have to come work for Ferrari and also you're going to pull your
battle with the country.
Something.
Anything.
Anything.
This weekend you'd break Grand Prix.
We can't miss Matt's comment.
We were asking what's up with, he's like, he's English.
That's the problem.
He's English.
That's the problem.
Throwing is getting all thrown to temper tantrum and, you know, George
wrote 007.
It's an English thing.
Megan said I just got home a couple of hours ago.
That's great.
Me too.
Me too.
Monica kept texting back and forth with Steve Emerson.
Steve was out there also.
Yeah, we had a lot of fans out.
Well, all the Maple Grove crew really.
Well, yeah, it was the Maple Grove crew.
It was the E town, Maple Grove, Northeastern United States crew have
moved to Maryland and the national.
Thank goodness and way to go.
And we'll get into that.
We'll give it its own time slot.
Alex, uh, pillow wins the Detroit Grand Prix this weekend.
Denny Hamlin, three wide, wicked win.
So much going on.
But Bobby Graham has got to get us up to speed with the fantasy league.
I've lost the plot on the fantasy league.
So I don't know.
Where are we at, Bobby?
Yeah, I think I also have my team in a couple of weeks.
I got too much to cover in a short time, but the important parts.
Yeah.
Give us the important parts.
Let's just Bobby's.
Give us a good part.
The self edit.
Let's see what we got.
All right.
For, for this race, the race standings was Olson's Trailblazers one this week.
As far as the race, uh, second place, also, 1215.
Third place was team 12, fourth place, JJ Husker fan, fifth place, Stubbo.
So I got that out the way.
What?
Now here's where we got some leadership changes.
League standings.
Megan, Megan held on for race 12.
We didn't get to discuss race 12.
Now race 13.
I'm sorry.
Megan dropped into second place.
She was overtaken by Bulls wool by 67 points.
Wow.
This race didn't help her.
Wow.
But she's still in second place.
Megan, you're still there now.
She says I'm still cook.
Bulls wool is still in first place.
It was fun while it lasted.
Don't give it up though, Megan.
Come on.
Yes.
Don't give up, Megan.
We're still in there.
So as far as the standings go, here's the after the last race.
First place bulls wool.
Second place, Megan.
Third place team 12.
Fourth place, PT 14.
And fifth place, Southern racer X.
No.
Oh, wow.
Oh, man.
Oh, man.
We know what I got.
I'm good.
I'm sixth place.
So I'm going to mention sixth place.
Hey, you're still in top 10, Bobby.
That's good.
Man.
It's better than the drag racing because I'm going to tell you the last two drag
races and I'll get into them.
I suck big time.
Well, two races ago, I didn't even set my I didn't even set my team two races ago.
This race or my I didn't pick the brackets.
This race, I picked the brackets and I went up and smoke, you know, immediately,
immediately.
Well, that's it.
Two races ago with South Georgia.
That was your first race of the season, technically.
So, you know, I had Hartford go into the final and he loses to Kenny Delco.
I know.
I was like that comes over.
Hartford's great.
You guys, you know, like Hartford's great.
Obviously, he's a sponsor and I got to know, you know, the whole team real, real
well, real well, and they are genuine friends.
He goes, you see that?
Yeah, I saw that, man.
You went right at the wall for a long time and you kept the throttle open.
You kept on going.
You were very close to all he goes.
Oh, I know.
I know.
I was there.
I was in there.
Wheels up.
Heiner got another round win.
Heiner, the cars were leaving great.
And his pro stock country cars wheels up.
It was look great.
It was awesome.
Awesome.
And Derek Cramer with a 19 light and then it's two lights.
Two good.
Yeah.
That night I was like, oh, here we go.
And then I had a great video of Heiner going like this.
I'm going to show you.
He just went.
I had a lot of red, too.
I did great.
I had three people in the finals.
Only one person I had in the finals one.
So.
And that was it.
I ended up like 700th and something in place.
So how was it even close?
Well, it's tough.
And it's very tough.
Drag Race, Bracket, Bonanza is very, very tough.
Speaking of Drag Race, Bracket, Bonanza,
Elon this week on Life's a Drag,
Elon and Abby will have Greg Anderson and I have that guy.
They have that guy.
I tomorrow will have nobody.
I strategically failed when it came to the guest.
You know, I put all my eggs in the Sean Langdon, Austin,
proc basket, loans texted me about Angie or you have an angel.
You know what?
I we had Angie two weeks ago.
You you go ahead and get Angie.
One or the other Sean Langdon or Austin, I'll be able to deliver
on one or the other of them.
Right? Yeah.
No.
So it's just gonna be me with, you know, what I'm gonna juggle or something.
You did not get Angie.
Oh, won't want to Angie.
I had Angie two weeks ago.
You know, I don't want to hog up the guests.
Yeah.
No, less than 200
When?
Lesson.
I know you're right.
Well, it was it was all happening today, man.
I had Steve, Steve Prenwald pressuring me about the artwork.
He's like, give me the.
I'm kidding.
Steve, he's out there just.
Man, I'm so disappointed.
You've disappointed me completely.
No guests.
No guests.
At least I don't bring now.
You went after Krista Baldwin and she was on her great media tour.
Well, I feel a little guilty about that.
I didn't want to double up and loans was like, hey, we don't want to double up.
And I'm like, you know, no, go ahead.
Get Angie.
One of the other.
Angie's.
Oh, Joe.
Sorry.
There's all these shows now, guys.
There's all these shows.
Which I was on the pit podcast two weeks ago and I gave them the big scoop
about the 200th and then Angie delivers and goes out there and wins it.
So, you know, I feel like I've done my part with that whole story.
So happy for Angie.
But anyway, keep going, Bobby, keep going.
Well, that's that's that's about it on the race.
Standing.
All right, good.
Okay.
So the big deal is that we I was hoping Megan would stay on top, but she's still close.
You know, everybody popped in the mouth.
And she's going to come back and she's going to do a good job.
Routing nation.
Routing nation.
Derek says rowdy nation.
And he mentions taska and he says, get Jimmy Prok or get Thomas Prok.
You know, it's kind of late in the going.
We're going to, you know, get task.
I could try and get taska taska.
It's OK.
We'll work on that.
We'll work on that.
Oh, yeah, we'll work on that.
Good job, Derek.
We get Bob taska getting shut out on guests, dude.
You got to do it.
Let's see.
But we got to get Matt.
That way Joe Epic fail.
Matt says that they put it that way.
Listen, guys, the guests don't add.
OK, it's all time I could be talking and coming up with great
anecdotes and giving you know, quips and funny quips and hot takes.
You know, think of all the big hosts, you know, like Mike and the Mad Dog.
Those guys, Francesca, you don't need guests.
Guests are just a crutch, real talent.
There is the show themselves.
Go get Gianna then.
I mean, she just broke the record.
Does the speed record and I'm right now.
No, no, you came close.
You're a person.
It's not a track record.
OK, track record.
Well, listen, we still have hours.
It's, you know, 839 PM at night.
It could be anything.
Maybe I'll ask Shirley Moldowney to come on.
We'll see.
We will see.
We'll see.
So that's why you have to tune in tomorrow.
Thank you, Matt, for that shot.
I appreciate that.
That's a nice, Ryan Martin, Monica, ask if Joe had met a sunglasses on that.
We'll get into all that.
But first, since Derek did mention rowdy nation, I do feel it is significant
for us, even though it's been a couple of weeks to on WFO ignition.
Since I have been such a vocal critic of Kyle Bush over his entire career,
this one hit me real, real weird.
And, you know, having just gone through this thing with my mother,
this thing hit me real weird.
And I feel terrible for the guy.
But more importantly for the family after immediately I had a weird feeling.
I haven't said this on anyone else's show, but I'm going to say it on my own.
My own.
I feel like there's a scandal that I'm kind of.
What?
I feel like there's a scandal.
Yeah, like, man, what the what the F?
Nobody in his circle told him, man, you got to go to the doctor, man.
You got to go.
It's been three weeks.
You got to go.
You got to go to the doctor.
You got to go three weeks, man.
You could get sick.
It could be something else.
Maybe that's my heightened sensitivity post ma, you know, sepsis, sepsis,
all that stuff.
But you can't just stay sick for weeks and weeks and weeks.
And it's just OK.
And that is the height and I do I blame.
I do. I kind of blame.
I have this feeling of blame in me.
No one wants to talk about it.
And it's not inside family things.
You know, no one's going to talk about that.
No one's going to address that.
It's not going to come up.
NASCAR did a beautiful job at the Coke 600 honoring his life.
But, um, guys.
Does the team not have a physician?
Is there not someone close?
Is there not someone close to him in the family that says, bro,
you got to go get looked at?
And maybe he's.
He's walking.
He radioed that he needed a doctor and they told him,
you want to be a pit at Pit Road or do you want to go to the right?
Yeah.
Yeah, man.
No, we don't.
I mean, I mean, I'm.
I'm.
Yeah, I don't want to hear that.
They definitely have access to the medical care,
whether they choose to ignore it and not go to it.
That's a whole different story.
So we've heard this from way back in the day.
Remember, oh, Ricky, Ricky Rudd wasn't that do this.
I don't think this is not macho stuff anymore.
We know much better.
Yeah.
When I was in high school, we practiced two days and they wouldn't give us water.
But nowadays, you know, after kids started dropping dead in the 90s,
it's like, oh Christ, we can't keep.
You know, because then what happened?
It's not tough to, you know, to keep these kids from water.
So this is toughness.
This was like because I could fall victim to it.
One second. I could fall victim to it, too.
I do it. This is what I've been saying as I've been trying to craft my opinion on this
because, Geo, you would try to tough it out a hundred times.
It's just a nose infection or, you know, like a little.
Who are you to make that call?
China's a.
I would, I technically, whatever I have, I try to let it run through me for a few days.
But I think by the second week, and especially, you know, in this household,
where, you know, they're, you know, it's going to.
Well, that's my point.
You're not a person that'll go up your.
You know, break them to tell you you need to go and you will be forced to go.
You will be forced to go.
And, you know, I could easily see myself trying to tough something out, but I also feel like.
But it all depends on how long, dude.
If I have like, like, you know, a sinus infection by the second week, I'm like, oh, man,
do you know what? Maybe I should go get some antibiotics or something.
You know, I tend to not let things go past the week because I know that naturally,
you know, in three to four days, you know, if it's something normal,
common cold or just a regular, whatever it is, you know, it'll go through you in a few days.
But by the, you know, by the after a few days, it's like, all right,
this is a little bit more than the regular.
And so I, I don't know.
Look, so here, I feel like.
I feel like in the end, mistakes were definitely made and not knowing anything.
I'm going to say that Cow Bush ultimately decided like, hey, this is nothing.
If the doctor told me to rest, I don't have time to rest.
You know, some young guy is going to go in the car and run well.
And next thing you know, I know I never have a seat again.
You know, unfortunately, that happens in sports a lot where people play injured
for the fear of being wally pipped.
Yes. Yeah.
But since Dale Earnhardt, Jr., with the concussions and all of those things,
I thought we had gotten past that.
I would hope you've gotten past that.
I might think it's just because his passion to race and he loves it so much
and he wants to just keep racing regardless of what the exact details are,
which I like to think at some point will get the clarity because it's a teachable moment.
It's a teachable moment like, hey, guys, don't do this.
Yeah, I think this is a great opportunity for NASCAR and racing in general as a PSA.
Hey, get yourself checked out.
You know, not every person has to have a regular cold for a few days.
But after a few days, you know, you've got to go make sure it's not something more serious.
Make sure you don't have, you know, some, you know, COVID like flu or something.
Go get some antibiotics.
Go get a Z-Pak. Go get whatever you need.
But well, and that's it.
And so that's that's my like, you know, counter countertake.
Like it's, yes, the utmost respect to the loss and the family.
Ryan McGee said it great.
Ryan McGee was on a bar stool or something and Ryan is he's like, and he's gone.
Yeah. And just like that, he's gone.
Like he goes, folks, Kyle Bush is gone.
And it's everything is just moving on now and people are going to move on.
But the reality of it is, is that those of us that are still alive,
we just like my mother, man, she thought she had one thing, but she had another thing.
He thought he had something.
I've got a cold.
It'll eventually clear up and I will be healthy and it will go away.
It just takes some time.
Nope.
Nope.
Turns out that's not what it was.
It was something way serious and you need to go to the body started attacking
itself, sepsis, pneumonia.
And just like that, from one minute to the next, he's gone.
A 41 year old man who's strong and winning races and it's got great determination.
Well, that's exactly what happened.
Your body tries to overcompensate for what's going on and it ends up killing
you instead of actually making you better.
It's real sad.
So while we celebrate the life and we celebrate the competitor and I didn't
like the way he carried himself.
You guys know, if you listen to the show, like it didn't have to be like that,
but that was just his.
That's the way.
That was.
I know me was kind of nice guy to the media and even to maybe some of his
competitors, Christ takes, he got into a fight with RCR, you know, with an old
man, Joe Gibbs, most the story, the first time he drove the car, he got out of the
car and he came over and he says, your car sucks.
Everybody was and that's probably what made him great.
But again, you know, he was a bit of a D, but that doesn't mean he should die.
No, no, it's just the hard, hard warning or
message that says you got to take care of yourself.
If something doesn't feel right, don't let it go.
I mean, because that was something, you know, whatever he had went into
pneumonia and he got sepsis and that's horrible.
I mean, like even here in the stories of he was texting Dale, Jr.
and others the day before, why he was in the hospital or heading to the hospital.
Like it's just, it's just mind numbing.
You know, you're just like, it really is.
Matt in Australia has got to take from down under.
Welcome, Matt.
Hey, good day.
Good day.
Good day.
Matt, what's going on, man?
It's like a thousand degrees over here.
We're living in the Hades.
And you're like, oh, you know, you got a beanie on.
You look like you're out in Alaska.
Second of second of June here, first day, second day of winter.
Oh.
Winter.
What is that?
What is that?
From the upside down.
Do you think maybe Joe, Joe, everybody, that persona is maybe why people
didn't question him or push him to go to the hospital or to a doctor or something
like that, like that.
Well, yes, Matt, I do.
There's only a possibility that people even maybe suggested and he brushed it off.
We don't know.
And I don't want to speculate on that.
I think eventually it will come out that someone will say, you know, we'll find out.
Like, did people say you got to go get your ass to the doctor?
And he said, no, man, this is nothing.
I've had colds before.
I got this.
I got to go to the sim.
I got to go to an appearance.
I got to know.
Yes, right.
Like, well, let's find out.
Absolutely.
Yeah.
Well, you know, we've all seen that person in the pit, the world champions in
drone that that they're just surrounded by people that just tell them how wonderful
they are and nobody tells them the bad things or the truth.
And and that builds into your persona as well.
Plus, if he is a.
A.
Raspi sort of person anyway, are people going to be tentative on pushing
him to do anything he doesn't want to do?
Just just saying or or is he going?
Is he one of was those that he could have actually been persuaded?
I mean, I look.
All of sitting around this virtual room, you know, I could I could sit here and I
know times myself where I've just tried to just push, push, push right through it.
I can beat this and, you know, you know, heck, I remember sitting in an emergency
room one year and during the Daytona 500 and I had to get gallbladder surgery.
Yes.
And I looked at my head and going, but we have the Gators to go to and he's like, honey,
not this year.
So look, it's it's just we've all done it or many of us have done it, but it is
the warning. It's the wake up call.
It's the warning that says, hey, if it if it goes past a certain point, you
got to take you got to check yourself out.
So and look, Derek has jumped on here.
It's very rare.
Well, my problem before we go to Derek is that Kyle Bush was often compared to
Dale Earnhardt in many different ways.
And just like Dale Earnhardt, Kyle Bush will be a lesson to future generations.
Dale's was in the usage of the most modern safety equipment and how we can always
find something safer and Kyle's will be hopefully his legacy will be among
friends medically.
And when someone is getting sick for three weeks or two weeks and ignoring it,
someone is going to say, Hey, man, remember what happened to Kyle Bush and how
it just came out of nowhere and he's 41 years old and strong and powerful.
And all of a sudden he passed away.
Don't do that.
Go to the doctor.
That may end up as an eye and I hope that would be a good legacy if he helped
people that way.
Anyway, Derek, what do you got?
You're on.
You've enabled your camera.
That means you've got something to say.
Breaking up now.
Go ahead.
You're good.
You got at that.
What is Glenn?
I'm curious to know what shot he got at Markins Glen.
I don't know if it was like some kind of a steroid shot, but back in 2016,
I was going through some sickness and I got some antibiotics in the steroid pack.
One day you take so many pills and so on and so forth.
About 100 years the last day, there's only one pill to take.
Yeah, prednisone.
Well, I never ever finished those packs.
So I had some kind of stocked up.
So steroids, if you take steroids, those steroid packs,
it lowers your immune system when you take those.
I mean, it makes you feel great, but basically back in 2016, over about a three month period,
I had fined three.
And it was the, I can't really exactly when it was, but I think it's around Thanksgiving
that I went to or my wife and, I'm getting my dates mixed up anyway.
My wife was not at home.
Okay, I'm sorry.
I'm so sorry.
You're all right.
We're all here, Darren.
What is the, where are you going with this that you have made this mistake yourself?
Somewhat on month two, there was a situation in which my wife and mother-in-law were out of town
and she called me and I told her I was P 99s and just weird stuff and she called my dad
and he made me go to the emergency room and they took my temperature.
I was like 107.1 or something.
They got my favorite, they got my favorite to break and they sent me home.
Well, a month later, I wasn't feeling good.
It was right before Thanksgiving.
I went to the hospital and they said, you need to be admitted right now with IVs because you have a blood infection.
If you don't take care of it, you know, you're going to, it's going to kill you.
They never said it was, you know, some kind of second deal, but that's basically what it,
to my understanding, that's what substance is.
Yes.
That's what it is.
Blood infection.
Yep.
So I went into the hospital the day before Thanksgiving.
I was on three different antibiotics, two of which they couldn't let run at the same time.
They would run two and then stop it and then switch it.
I was on that until Sunday morning and they took me off of it and I got to go home.
I never missed any work.
That's what I was afraid of, but you know, it's important, you know, when you go to get a steroid pack,
a doctor is always asking you when's the last time you had one because they don't want to prescribe you those steroid packs, you know, consecutively.
I'm just curious if he has some kind of steroid medication, you know, that effected his immune system like it did me.
Yeah, it's just a scary deal, but I'm glad you're still around.
Yeah.
I'm glad you made it.
Most importantly, glad you made it because who else would give me my Apple tips, right?
Yeah.
And I'm sorry, I always have to run the bases and then throw the pitch.
That's just the way I am.
But anyway, that's what I wanted to say.
Okay.
No, it's great, Derek.
Love it.
Thank you for all you do.
Derek does a lot of stuff for the show by the guys.
He's a good guy.
Thank you, Derek.
Thanks, Derek.
There it is.
Look, I, on the way to work the other day, Saturday morning, I stopped at McDonald's, got an egg McMuffin, and it hit my stomach like a porcupine.
Like, I don't know what the hell happened, but it hurt.
I was in pain.
And so the first four hours of the day, I was trying to navigate it, right?
Eddie Granacci gave me some Pepto that had been in his pocket for like 17 years.
And Nikki gave me a Gas X and nothing was working.
And, you know, Ali from the media center was like, you know, you should go see Doc's surface.
You should go see the doctor.
Here we are.
I'm in that moment.
And I declined to the doctor and I continued to self-medicate because I knew what it was.
I ate a bad egg McMuffin.
Yeah.
And it just hit me wrong.
And I just needed some time.
And ultimately the solution was the doctor pepper.
I had a doctor from the refrigerator and it created some bubbles and I was able to vacate the, that was inflating on the inside, you know.
So anyway, guys, Kyle Bush was an extreme talent.
He was not done yet.
He was one of the maybe the most talented wheel turner car navigator that we've ever seen.
He is the winningest driver in Ascar history is now gone.
He's not with us anymore for reasons that are.
We will reveal themselves more, but there is a life lesson for all of us because I just had it with my mother.
We thought her back was her.
She was septic.
Derek just told you one.
He was septic.
This is apparently a lot more common than maybe we all know as we become old and shuffle slowly to the grave.
Mind yourselves and your friends and your friends.
And if you've got a friend who's, you know, been sick for a couple of days and maybe it's time you got to say something.
You got to say something.
Okay.
Remember what happened?
Remember Joe's mom?
Remember Kyle Bush?
Remember Derek?
And it's just very sad.
It's that for Samantha and the children.
And it's sad for all these everyone who loved him and he was a great father and he changed when he became a dad and all of that.
Kurt, nobody talks about Kurt.
Kurt Bush is a bro.
His brother is gone.
Like that's, it's horrible.
It's a horrible thing.
People lose people all the time.
These are famous people.
And so we know them.
We feel like we know them.
But anyway, we got to learn, learn from it.
You got to learn from everything, every bad experience you got to learn.
And that one I'm learning.
All right.
There you go.
That's it.
And that's it.
I don't want to hear anymore about it.
It's weeks ago.
Let him rest in peace.
Let him rest in peace.
Simple as that.
Enough for me.
I'm going to talk about my life.
I'm going to talk about my life.
I'm going to talk about my life.
I'm going to talk about my life.
Enough for me.
I'm going to talk about my meta sunglasses.
Yes.
I was wearing the thing that I posted with the marquee matchup
with Matt Hagan and Austin proc was taken on meta sunglasses.
Jen wants to know.
I forgot my sunglasses this time.
And I was like, oh my God, because I had taken them off.
And I had just gotten them from the folks at heat wave,
the 75th anniversary and HRE sunglasses.
I know them.
Yeah.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
Talk about it.
and my phone and like that's ridiculous.
This opens the door to a lot of interesting content.
And so since I forgot my sunglasses and there was a Best Buy literally
walking distance from our hotel door, I decided, you know what?
I'm going to go pull the trigger on these things and see what they're all about.
And I've been seeing what they're all about later, Derek Derek's checking out later, Derek.
And I got what I think to be a lot of content.
I think some of you saw the things that I posted a couple of things just at the
very beginning from the stage, you know, and I don't know.
We'll see.
I do have recommendations though.
If you're thinking about getting them, do not get polarized.
They only had polarized, but they are available.
Not polarized.
You will need to look at your phone.
You will not be able to see your phone.
Okay.
Polarized glasses.
You do not see any screen computer screen of any kind just gets blanked out.
Really?
Yes.
Wow.
Which is why I've been switching all my Oakley lenses from polarized to
non polarized so I can look at my phone, especially in the race car suit.
When we're rocking in my summer sunglasses on, I'm trying to look at my
phone to see weather and stuff and I can't see it.
And so I'm having to take off sunglasses and everything.
That makes a lot of sense.
You get rid of the polarization and suddenly you can see the screen.
Okay.
Yeah.
Good to know.
So be on the lookout for some more meta.
Very cool.
I thought that was cool.
I was I was wondering how you did it.
I'm like, how do they pull this one off?
Very cool.
We it was it was very fun.
The fan fest was fun.
All right.
Grand Prix Monaco.
Geo.
Will it carry the weekend?
Will it be what they want?
The big star of the weekend, the way they want.
People are talking about Charles Ferrari, you know, but really I'm
thinking Kimby Antonelli is going to win his fifth in a row.
Yeah, dude, it's going to be a Mercedes.
Whoever's on the whoever gets the pole is going to win the race.
And you know, that's how it works unless they, you know, unless
there's some barring unforeseen circumstances, you know, it's Monaco
and typically whoever wins the polls going to win the race.
True.
100%.
So that should be it's time for George to step up and get another
poll and this time not have a Mercedes sabotage his car.
Favorite of Kiwi and and he could get the big win at Monaco.
I don't, you know, the Ferrari has picked up some speed, but I don't
foresee them.
Well, let's call a time out.
Let's let's let's dig into a couple of listen guys.
Everybody.
They're going to bring in Lewis was talking about more updates
and stuff.
So let's see.
Well, the simulator, man, the simulator simulator, you guys don't
know what you're doing over there.
And he's using the simulator and he had his best result.
And he had, yeah, well, it was the second, I think, right?
Yes, he was second.
He was on the podium.
Can you imagine if this Ferrari simulator has been screwed up for
the last several seasons and it's just miscalibrated, which is
it, you know what?
That would be just so Ferrari to have the simulator miscalibrated.
I'm right.
I'm thinking that that's part of it.
And and and the Claire is like, not great.
He used the simulator.
Lewis was good.
There's got like some hot young wife now at home and you know, and
his dog and he's, you know, he's that's it.
Racing's like a secondary thing for him.
You know, he's no longer, I don't think he's got that fire anymore.
Who, Charles?
Yeah, Charles, man.
That's it.
Dude, he's like in love and he's, you know, he's a family guy now.
And dude, you know, like she is, you know, part of my French, a
piece of ass.
Tell us how you really feel, Gio.
She's a looking girl, man.
Like, you know, all of these guys have the hottest, you know,
wise and girlfriends and sometimes both.
When it comes to that, if you believe in the gene pool, they are
they are.
Look, it works.
The way it looks, the quarterbacks tend to have really good looking
wives, the vast majority of them, you know, technically speaking,
they're usually a good looking guy, big, tall, strong, can throw
the ball, you know, like forever and, you know, having the good
the possibility of high income always never hurts, you know,
it doesn't hurt.
It doesn't hurt.
Well, we'll see, we'll see this weekend.
I did see some, you know, rules related things.
I'm kind of looking for the story with with Ferrari.
Charles says that it's not the simulator.
We're just going to have to watch.
But in the news recently Ferrari, Charles going to say, you
know, he wouldn't want to be like, dude, I never realized that
the simulator was messed up.
But Lewis had to come in here and point that out.
But thank goodness if it's we don't know, we're speculating
also, but Lewis said, you know what, the simulator is messing
me up.
I'd rather just go out on the track and work on the car.
So there is a possibility that they can have a simulator issue.
You know, look, I don't put anything beyond Ferrari at this
point, man.
It's been what almost two decades since they've had a winning
champion 2007 wasn't that the last time they won?
Yeah, Kimi.
Yeah, 20 years this year, man.
20 seasons this year without a championship.
It's terrible, but you can't just be continue to be negative.
We're not winning the championship this year.
Just so you know, it's not happening.
Does it look real?
It's not.
There's no reason to close because they keep getting double
points, but.
Well, exactly.
We got to do the best you can.
But let's talk about the Ferrari.
Claren won a championship last year and Landel won the drivers
and this year they're kind of nowhere to be found.
They picked up some speed, but then last week they didn't run
so well again.
And you know, there's there's rumors that that when Zach is
not there that he sabotaging the team so that they don't perform
well at the races.
He's not at.
It's all that room.
Yes.
Yes.
Let's talk about the Ferrari.
The release of the Ferrari loose the L. U. C. E. Is it luchay?
Ferrari, the the one that well, I don't think a car has been
more panned the most negative coverage I have seen ever ever.
The Ferrari that make like, let's just say it, you know, the Ferrari
that makes you gay.
That's what they said.
There's a hundred.
That's what the social media gets.
Not that there's anything wrong with that in the immortal sign.
I felt a bit, but.
I don't like it either.
I like I want to divorce myself from all of that.
All of the negativity.
I didn't like Ferrari didn't like you.
I said if he revealed what he really thinks it would damage Ferrari.
Oh, look, just be honest.
In the end, they're going to sell a ton of them and make a buttload
of money because it's a way more higher profit per car than than
a regular Ferrari because they're charging about 600 G's for them.
And you know, a bunch of, you know, these kind of people are going
to want to have it as they're, you know, oh, I got to get the electric
Ferrari.
Well, so I feel bad.
I just wanted that mean by the way, guys.
I apologize for quoting that meme because it's so terrible, but
that's what is out there.
Like that's what they're using.
That's what they're using it.
And it's everywhere and it's everywhere.
It's true.
They've sent it to Lewis.
They've had everybody that oh, it makes me gay.
They're using it to make these horrible videos.
But anyway, is it that bad?
Let's that's let's attack that.
Is it as bad as everyone looks terrible?
It does.
It looks like, you know, like a sports car version of that Hyundai
or something.
Electric Hyundai.
But oh, I, but again, in the end, if they sell a ton of them
and they're making twice the profit as a regular Ferrari,
because they're charging twice as much, then it's going to end
up being a big bonanza for the company.
And that's all that matters in this day and age.
All of these companies are now run by a bunch of Wall Street,
you know, even Wall Street by a bunch of, you know, 20 something
year old MBAs and they're trying to maximize the dollar, squeeze
the dollar out of every foot of rock that they can.
And you know, they had to do it.
Everybody's got their electric car.
They had to have their own and I'm telling you, they're going
to sell a ton of them and make a crap load of money.
Well, so that's that's the ultimate success, right?
It's very possible that the hardcore it's $640,000 guys.
That's not 40,000.
Come on.
You got that.
You got that in your mattress, don't you?
Yeah, that's $640,000.
So even as high as gas is, that's a lot of gas.
Yes.
Yes, it is.
And you're going to recover that in gas savings.
That's what you're going to do.
No.
It's not a Prius.
It goes 196 miles an hour.
It's accelerates zero to 60 in 2.5 seconds.
I have no idea about its chassis dynamics.
It does look very futuristic.
I could see it on the Autobahn, you know, peg that 196.
Oh, and I read a story.
They got a whole bunch of like personalized items like the
keys and it's like lights up the key lights up.
Right.
And they can get that up.
You personalized inside of your car.
So that's 640 is going to end up being like closer to seven.
And they're going to make a truckload of money.
And that's really it.
If you think about it, or they might not sell any or my it
might get the negative publicity.
Matt, not those two.
We're talking about an electric car, which means Matt has an
opinion.
That's a million South Pacific pesos.
Okay.
Yeah.
Right on the ratio, right?
Yeah.
The other problem is when you're cruising on your Sunday morning
to go down to get coffee and you go past the cafes.
You can't block the throttle in your electric Ferrari and
everyone turns around and looks at no, there's nothing.
Exactly.
Well, no, you don't get the package down.
You've rented it.
You've rented it useless.
The exhaust note doesn't exist.
Now they do say that they have a speaker that makes the sound.
They, they, they do have a speaker that makes a sound, but
it picks up the actual sound from the gearbox and from the
rear end gear.
So there's actual things turning noises that are ample.
Sound like an electric lawnmower is probably what's going to sound like.
It just has a speaker that goes room, room, room.
Electric cars make a sound.
It's almost like, you know, like a golf cart going by or something.
Yeah.
Sound of tires over a pebble.
Well, we'll see.
We are going to see.
So I did want it.
It does look futuristic.
It looks like something out of demolition man and I'm going to go.
I'm going to say, dude, this thing's going to be a financial hit.
It's going to be a, you know, a boondoggle for Ferrari.
Watch.
Well, then it would be a good time to buy the Ferrari stock
because the stock tanked a little bit on the release like everybody sold off.
And so you, if you think they're really going to kill it with the car.
Giovanni, you want to get what is it?
Race.
Go get some Ferrari stock and see, see what we do.
Wait till all the recalls.
Maybe they don't have any, you know, that's the thing.
It's still a Ferrari.
Yeah.
Well, that's a Ferrari.
But yeah, I saw the key stuff and one extra layer to it.
It was designed by the guy who made the original iPhone.
The guy's name is Johnny Ives.
I think is how his name is pronounced.
And he was one of the original Apple designer engineers and this design
was farmed out to his design group.
And a lot of the interior is, you know, just think Johnny Quest.
And I show up here.
I pad like there's got a big screen in the middle with a bar.
You can actually turn it, which I thought that was kind of interesting
for the passenger to be able to turn the screen to them
and do some navigation stuff or whatever.
But in the end, for me, they did talk about no double touch experiences.
Like I hate being in a car having to touch a touch screen and then go to a
memo, a menu and then swipe.
Like that is not driving experience.
You need switches or things that you can control while driving.
Driving is supposed to be about driving.
This thing is going to drive itself and it's just a Ferrari, which maybe
we're going to that point at some point.
Who knows?
But I question.
Question.
Yes, man.
You know, your passenger reaching over and touching the screen and moving
it and playing on it.
Yeah, that like some somebody picking up your phone.
Yeah.
Yeah, exactly.
Does that give you that that earkey feel?
You know, I let people in the passenger seat adjust the radio.
So I feel like it's the same rules.
Okay.
Same.
My mate calls his phone the penis.
What?
What?
My mate calls his iPhone the penis.
Okay.
Oh, that way nobody wants to touch it.
Touch it.
Correct.
Very dirty.
He was.
He was.
He was.
He was.
He was.
His kids, his kids come over to use his phone.
You know, don't touch and they get that thought in their head.
They don't touch his phone.
They never touch it because it's like his penis.
Yeah.
You know, in a friendly environment, I prefer you Australian.
You know, from the land down under.
For the word.
Upside down.
This is like, you know, colony down there.
It is.
It's like, you know, colony, Matt and all his friends.
So they're all in.
Speaking of which, Matt, didn't you race since you're talking?
Didn't you race?
What happened?
What was the matter?
Like I, I'm not up.
Forgive me for not being up.
I've seen some wonderful social media posts with the car looking
great and all that, but I have no idea about results.
I am in no man's mind when it comes to Matt in Australia, racing results.
I don't know.
Jai, I thought we spoke after the last time I raised.
Maybe he did.
I thought you were again, or maybe the way we have a new sponsor since
last time.
Yeah.
The moonshine.
The moonshine.
That's what it is.
Maybe.
Now you even asked that, but you're rolling out the social.
I was like, he rolled it out.
What's just last week?
No, the team that, uh, the team of methanol moonshine, they, uh,
they did a, they did a post on, uh, on Instagram and on Facebook.
And, uh, yeah, we're pretty well and they tagged us in on it.
That's, that's probably what you see in Jeff.
We all engaged with it.
We all engaged with that.
Shout out to Wade Oringer and the team of methanol moonshine and
they've got three mix methanol moonshine now, but it's just coming up.
So you can get the, the bottle, which is your 750 mil bottle of
straight methanol moonshine, but they also do tans of, uh,
a lion version and a caramel coal version as well.
Wow.
Good, good.
Troma there for methanol moonshine.
Well, that's what we do.
We're here to, we're here to, uh, you know, pimp the show for
mountain Australia and his sponsors.
Yeah.
So I don't know if they're doing canned over there in the, in the
US of A, but they've definitely launched them here in, uh, you know,
that's wonderful.
That's what I, I am on alcohol hiatus since February 15th.
And yes, yes.
No, no alcoholic beverages since February 15th.
It's, uh,
they just, they just got to get off that big and bacon.
Mcmuffin face down in the gutter when you got to be sure your mom's okay.
That's also true.
And you know, like the whole concept of I, uh, I do feel like I'm reaching
the point of diminishing returns though.
Like I was like, I feel better and now I just feel normal.
I don't need so much, you know, yeah, diminishing returns.
All right.
My body's all cleaned out now.
It wants a little more alcohol.
I think.
All right.
I want to complain about something before we go on.
We discussed NASCAR earlier and Denny Hamlin winning going three wide and
it was, I would say overall a very entertaining race.
A cracker barrel 400.
Yes.
We didn't touch on that.
Let's talk about that.
I've been a big fan of the Amazon broadcast and their whole thing.
They've done a great job almost across the board universally in all those
sports, you know, not counting on a couple of, uh, it hasn't happened in
NASCAR, but a couple of other sports.
They had some, uh, technical glitches, but, uh, we're, you know, that aside,
you can't have a Sunday night race that starts at 830 because of
rain delay and ends past 12 30 on the East coast.
I think it was one of the, I, I am.
I'm sorry.
I think it was 12 40 when it ended.
It was just past 12 30, you know, but it leaves very little for you to be able
to watch any of that post race and they give you a full hour after the race.
But I was in and out of consciousness by for the last hundred laps already
because if, if you're going to do a night race, it has to be Saturday night.
And I get the whole thing of the Sunday and maybe wanting to get the,
the ratings or the whatever, cause there's no other, there wasn't basketball
or any other sports and it's before football season.
I totally get it, but then you got to have that race started to twilight
and in the event that unforeseen circumstances like rain, because that
race didn't start till past eight 30.
And you know, it was over four hours.
It was, yeah.
I was trying to hang on to Gio.
I really was.
And I was like, I did fall asleep a couple of times and luckily I woke
up with, you know, enough laps to go that I got up and was able to watch
Danny pull his Danny magic there.
And I really want any Hamlet to finally win a championship and he deserves
it.
I feel like it's going to come away from him, whether it was bad luck by him, bad
pitch strategy by the, you know, by the crew chief or just overall Dars racing.
But I'm hoping that he can finally get it because what is it now?
63, 64 wins.
He's right up there.
He's the, he's the, you know, the, the most wins without a championship
and he definitely deserves.
Yeah.
But what about the fact that the start of the race, he's on pole and he jumped
the start.
Oh, he gets black flag.
Jumped the start.
He jumped the start.
I mean, it was so.
Junior's fault, by the way, it's Dale Jr's fault.
I don't know if you heard Dale Jr in that interview while the guy right
before the race starts in the car.
He's like, Hey, daddy's Dale Jr in the booth.
He got me and he mentioned something about how much would we, would we
have to pay you to start at the back to start shotgun in the field and work
your way up?
And he said, Oh, if we double the, the purse, uh, I would definitely start
from behind and he said that Denny Hamlin takes off like a rocket, jumps
the start, a black flag.
I mean, take, he pits, he goes from being first pits in lap three goes to
being dead last competition caution in lap 35.
He was already, you know, up to 30th and after the caution, he won in the top
20 already.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It was, it was impressive.
Great job.
But he didn't, he didn't say a word either.
He just, he just, but he definitely jumped the start.
I mean, he took off like before everybody else, which actually helped him for the
drive through.
Right.
Because he had a good, he already had it like a three second lead on the field.
So it did you right.
But he came out.
He was last, but he wasn't lapped.
But I thought it was an irritating race, but my only complaint is that man.
Sorry, man.
You can't start a race on Sunday night at 8 31.
It's going to be a four hour race.
Yeah.
It's just, it's just not, I was listening to the, to the tear down this morning
and Jeff Gluck was had the same thing, but because while they were doing a
tear down after everything ended.
But one of the things he said, he goes, if you're going to do that, then
why don't we make it a 300?
Like, like you got to cut it back.
If that's what you're going to do.
But, but yeah, Saturday night or started sooner because they got delayed
an hour for, for the rain.
It was supposed to start, I think it's seven and it, you know, ended up starting
at eight or eight 30.
So yeah, after eight 30, eight 35 or so.
Yes.
Yeah.
So I get it and you can't control the weather, but you have to, you know, come
on NASCAR has had enough issues with the weather that they should know that you
can't have the race, you know, scheduled for serving 30 on a Sunday when there's
the possibility of rain.
They should have foreseen that and, you know, hey, let's start a little bit
earlier.
Let's, let's make it Saturday night, whatever you guys got to do.
But, you know, it's just, it's a little tough there.
And I'm guessing, you know, look, I get it.
National Central time zone is not quite the East.
It was a little slightly earlier there, but nobody left that track before
midnight, even on there in, in central time zone.
So, oh, no, oh, absolutely not.
No.
And, you know, again, I mean, I don't know if schools out over there or not,
but over here, this is the last week of school.
So, you know, you got down here in South Carolina, they're out.
They were out last week.
So nice.
But anyhow, that was my one beef with the, with the race other than that, you
know, a big thumbs up to Amazon Prime under coverage.
It's still arguably some of the best coverage in the, in the business on
everything that they've got all in on their sports coverage and they're doing
a very good job.
The studio shows the post race, all of it.
Yeah.
Excellent.
And let's roll right into sports collision.
Since you got the mic, let's keep on going.
Monica says that AJ graduates this week.
Congratulations.
Megan said that the finish was wild.
Monica, I scrapped that race too late for me.
That's my new thing.
I hate to say it, but there's a lot of times now where when I'm fighting
to stay awake, when I'm like struggling to stay awake, I just turn it off.
I'll watch it tomorrow.
I'll catch up.
I won't buy it.
Yeah.
I, I, it's not, it's not good.
I don't think it's good to fight.
How many laps to go?
Click.
I'm not going to make it.
Not going to make it.
Click.
Sorry.
No.
Yeah.
Unfortunately, I wake myself up and then I'm up, you know, nothing.
I didn't want to do that.
I missed the sleep window.
Y'all got to do like me.
You got to sleep through the middle of the race and then just wake up in
town and watch the last 20 laps.
Interesting.
You know, Bobby, that sounds like a good idea.
I should have been asleep from nine to 10.
But all right, sports collision.
Lots of stuff going on in the non sports world as seasons are coming to an
end.
It seems like almost everyone is still playing.
We've a couple of weeks ago, we were discussing how the, the Montreal
Canadians were still in the NHL playoffs.
Unfortunately for them, they went down to Carolina and the hurricanes
have just been a little too much.
There are 12 and one in their playoffs days.
Basically a gentleman sweep.
They dropped the first game to Montreal, but they won four after that.
So the finals and the NHL are set.
They begin Tuesday night.
Tomorrow you have the Vegas Golden Knights against the Carolina
Hurricanes and Vegas is one of those teams.
It's one of those weird years where a team that didn't even win 40 games,
which is would be 42 is they play 82.
So 41 would be half 500.
I believe the only one like 38 games or so.
And they made it all the way to the finals.
So you can't argue with that.
It's, it's a tough hockey is playoffs are very tough and they beat the
number one seed Colorado Avalanche.
They whooped them pretty good actually.
And here we go Vegas and Carolina.
The finals are set in the NHL.
Like I said, the battle for Lloyd Stanley Cup begins Tuesday night.
Tomorrow the NBA finals are also set as the defending champs go down.
Oklahoma City goes down to the young, young
and fiery and Antonio Spurs and the alien Wemby and all of those great
young players that they got from all of the tanking Dylan Harper and
Castle and Vassal and they just, it seems like all of their young players,
all of their player core players are young and we'll see, you know,
those things have a way of working themselves out.
Everybody thought Oklahoma City was going to dominate the league and break
the record for wins this year.
And just like that, some unexpected team like the Spurs comes up and the
Spurs are in the finals against the New York Knickerbockers back to the
finals for the first time since 1999.
The island is going crazy up there.
As you know, almost since it's not like football that you got jets and
jets and giants or baseball that you got Yankees and Mets.
There really is only one basketball team and that is the Knicks, the Nets,
Praline, Brooklyn now, but they historically were a New Jersey's
team and so really all of the basketball fans tend to be Knicks fans.
And you know, dare I say, I'm rooting for them to win it.
You know, they haven't won in our lifetime since, what, 1973?
The Willis Reed.
Willis Reed, that's it.
Our lifetimes.
We got a rematch of the 99 championship, San Antonio Spurs and the New
York Knicks.
And maybe the Knicks this time will pull it off.
Let's see.
They keep playing and shooting like if they were the Golden State Warriors,
they got a shot.
But top to bottom, San Antonio does is, I would say is the most
talent, the better, more talented team.
But the Knicks have been playing on fire the last 11 games there undefeated.
They were down two to one in the first round to Atlanta and they have not
lost the game since winning by an average of way over 20 points.
It's unreal.
What they have shot lights out.
They're playing great defense and sometimes you got, you can ride a hot
streak like that, even if you're not the better team.
So I expect another.
And that's two nights from now, Wednesday.
And so yes, we are heat fans, which means we have to like we have a
vicious blood feud with the Knicks.
They hate the heat and Jeff Van Gundy still hanging out on
the Lonzo Morning's foot.
Yes.
Yes.
That was and for that, for those that was 1999, by the way, that was
a nightly Pat Riley left the Knicks and a lot of people thought that
he was going to be the savior and he left the Knicks to come to the heat
and accept a much better deal in a much better place.
And he's the guy ownership over here.
Remember, they gave him part ownership.
They gave him anything he wanted points and remember, I famously he
announces he resigned from the Knicks through a fax.
Yeah, once he's already down here, he sent the fax.
Remember what those things they called him Pat the rat to and there are
the fights and all the hatred and all that stuff that all having been said.
I too am rooting for the Knicks now.
I really want my friends to be happy man.
These guys have carried this around for their whole lives.
I know what it's like as a dolphin fan.
They I want my friends to be happy.
So go next.
You know, I think it's good for the league if the Knicks for the next
way.
Oh my God.
Madison's garden is going to be a mecca.
Look at I, you know, I think it's kind of nonsense that they call the garden
the mecca, which just the other day, the garden was like this old beat up
crappy arena and you know, I'm going to give you the guy has spent some
money on it and put in all that facial recognition so that he could keep
out people he doesn't like and people that wrong him.
Yeah, it's not true.
That having to have.
Oh my God.
Do you you haven't read on the public tour?
It did a whole expose on it about the facial recognition.
They have like top of the line high quality facial recognition systems at
the garden and if you work for any of the law firms that have ever sued
Dolan or the Knicks or in anything, you're not allowed at the stadium and
it's it's it's a whole big thing going on over there.
But but yes, super high state of the art high facial recognition goes on at
the call.
Everyone says that it's like a religious experience to watch a sport in
the garden.
I have never so I can't say one way or another just for everyone that's
interested cheapest get in ticket prices for the NBA finals.
The Madison Square Garden between 3400 and 4500 that's to get in the door.
Nosebleed upper level is what we're talking about.
If you would like to be lower level tickets are listed anywhere from
$40,000 to over 100,000.
Well, I see that who's not not courtside, but I guess the equivalent of courtside
because obviously, you know, Spike Lee and all the stars are the ones that
see that first row.
But I believe it's that it would probably be the second or third row there.
A pair of tickets are a hundred and 3000 dollars each.
But I think that that's just secondary and you know, somebody throw kind of
like those World Cup tickets that are, you know, 50000 dollars,
but nobody's buying them.
By the way, I hope that all those scalpers get stuck with all those tickets
from what I understand World Cup tickets are not selling any at the pace
that was expected.
And it's probably that all the price gouging.
No one wants to, you know, get out.
Well, right now, listen, Bobby mentioned things are expensive.
You're a reasonably regular person.
OK, so historical highs, premium courtside seats have confirmed sales
approaching nearly 300000 dollars for a pair.
But we haven't gotten there just yet.
But like that's not me and that's not anybody that I think in this feed.
And if there is, it's probably cheaper to fly from New York to San Antonio,
get some tickets over there, eat at a nice steakhouse and fly back home.
And it'll probably be significantly cheaper than just going to the garden.
It's going to be sold out.
Every seat will be filled.
Every seat will be sold.
It is the city that ever sleeps the greatest city in the world
until somebody else pops up.
That's better, which I don't see happening.
New York has got, you know, people who are very successful and hardworking
and have done very well for themselves.
And so they're going to fill those seats, but it's pretty crazy.
10000 grand.
So that's what's going on there.
We got two series in the finals.
We had some NFL news today as today is June 1st,
which is a significant day for the league, which allows you to
to for trade purposes and salary cap management.
You the dead money, you're able to spread it over two years
if you designate someone June 1st cut.
And so we did see Sue's Eagles traded their disgruntled wide receiver,
AJ Brown to the New England Patsy's.
Bye bye AJ.
For a couple of days, but really, really big news is the two time
and defend defense, you know, I guess reigning defensive player of the year.
Miles Garrett leaves the wasteland of Cleveland and he's going to Lollaland.
The L.A. Rams have traded Miles Garrett.
So, yeah, that's a huge move right there.
And in my opinion, it seems like it didn't cost them too much.
I believe a third rounder in 2027, a first rounder in 2028
and I think a third rounder again in 2029.
So and they did give up Jared versus a really good young player that they had.
But man, if you tell me a couple of potential picks that you, you know,
you're not going to find a Miles Garrett two time defending player of the year,
defensive player of the year in the draft in the next couple of years.
So that's a good move by them.
And they're securing their playoff roster.
Now they signed Matt Stafford to a couple of years contract extension.
So the Rams are all in for the next couple of years as always.
And so that's why you had some NFL news.
There's all kinds of other slight NFL news, like I said,
because the league year officially that June 1st designation is today.
And so we've had some of that in tennis.
The French Open is down now to the quarterfinals.
Most of the top seeds are gone on both sides.
In the men's side, Yannick Sinner choked it up last week when he was up two sets
and 51 all of a sudden started to cramping.
He couldn't handle that heat wave that's been going over there through Paris.
And so, but he's not the only one today.
Tiafo the American lost Joker is out.
Carlitos isn't even participating because he's got a wrist injury.
And so it's wide open on the men's side.
A bunch of Italians are left in the quarters.
Joe, they've been playing very well.
You're your countrymen.
Hey, Pizan.
And on the women's side, what's her name?
Sabalenka is really the only top seed remaining as they've all fallen.
Ega lost yesterday.
Madison Keys and Coco Goff lost today and yesterday also.
And so both sides are wide open.
It was a good opportunity for some of these lower, you know, first,
I thought Tiafo or or Shelton, the Americans, but they they didn't.
We're not able to take advantage of the top seed falling.
And so we're going to find out over the next week.
The quarterfinals are going on in the Frenchies.
The World Cup.
We just mentioned that briefly because of the prices.
But June 11th is the first games that are starting Mexico.
The American team, the men's national team plays on Friday, June 12th
against Paraguay.
We're hoping that they just make it out of that for out of the group stage
and into the eliminations because they have not been very good.
And by the looks of things, you know how that goes.
If the U.S.
team doesn't play well, it could be a non spectacular World Cup.
Even though we're the we're one of the host nations.
Mexico, Canada, U.S.
is doing a hosting throughout.
And so hopefully they can survive the group stage, but I'm going to
I'm going to go out there on a limb and say that we will not advance
out of the group stage.
I make my soccer knowledgeable people say no as well to you.
Well, you know, I am not very soccer knowledgeable, but I just
you know, it doesn't seem like this team has had it for a while.
Or ever really.
Well, there was a couple of years where they had a couple of nice runs
and they you know, they got to a quarterfinal one year.
But no, unfortunately, our best athletes are playing basketball
or football most of the time.
Crazy.
All right, good job.
So the thing I got is a baseball and men's baseball college baseball.
I'm watching way too much of it this weekend because the hurricanes
were involved.
They won their first game, but then they promptly dropped two games.
It's just you know what baseball at every level is the same thing.
You allow if you can't play defense and you allow errors.
Those runs always seem to come back to score and the Keynes defense
is atrocious.
They committed about 80 something errors throughout the regular season
and in their postseason was no different for errors.
One game, five, the next game lost both.
And but the good news is that the Gators also lost FSU lost the number
one overall seed UCLA down Oklahoma was the one seed in
their region there out.
Lots of Cinderella stories in college baseball unlike basketball.
And my only explanation for that is that I believe the NIL money is
much less in baseball, but I think it's distributed more evenly
throughout the team unlike in basketball where or football that the
quarterbacks get all the money and one or two players get in basketball.
And so that's why you're seeing more upsets in baseball than any
of the other sports.
But highly entertaining games.
So is the women's softball been been loving all that all week and
long had one of the TVs going on that.
And I think that's all I got.
I don't really.
I think that's good.
That was like a 17 minute sports collision man.
That was all you know, it was like if you got one.
Yeah.
What's that?
Tell me the enhanced games.
They report on the enhanced game.
Oh, I didn't hear about that.
The League of Superhumans.
Yes.
Yes.
I heard it was it wasn't.
It was not a big as there was a.
There you go.
And there was only one world record broken.
Really?
I expected to break records left and right.
But by the way, it wasn't just in his there was a lot of non-enhanced
athletes too.
And I think that's what happened.
Most of them ended up winning the events.
Yeah.
Well, the Chinese swimming team wasn't there.
So there wasn't much.
But it was broken in swimming, I believe, and the person was pretty
jacked, but also they were wearing one of those, you know, all those super
suits I heard about the super suits.
I guess to get into that super suit.
Oh yeah, you got to lube yourself up to get in that baby.
Whoa.
That's what she said.
That's what she said.
And I believe they only broke the world record by 0.07 of
seconds, right?
And like one event, right?
Only one event.
Right.
They expected every event to be a new world record.
And yeah, sorry, Charlie.
Well, so what?
These are like people on steroids.
Yes, it's called the enhanced game.
There was some nonsense and went on in Vegas and and it's good.
Well, that's the thing though.
It's the best of the best athletes are the non-enhanced ones and the next
tier are enhanced and they're not as good as the best of the best.
But if you take the best of the best and you enhance them, then you'll
break the records.
Well, there's a very bond and baseball is a prime example.
Like his head is giant and when you get the best player in the game,
the juice, then you see what happens.
Right.
I can't remember the Aussie guy's name.
Magnuson is he's a swimmer and he's on the cusp of retirement and he got
he got paid to be involved and got on the gear and he actually even
scrum slower than than any other time he done before and being natural.
So there see, there it is.
Well, you know, you got to practice.
You got to train like that's all part of it too.
I'm not wondering how about you doing an Australia report, you know,
like a real tight.
It's time to size.
That's for sure.
Because not much happening.
That's winner.
Well, we had the eights last week in Tasmania yet again, the triple eight
race team with Brock Feney won the event and extended his lead.
Um, the only the only other real big one is this weekend Joe is the
Winter Nationals at Willow Bay Raceway, which is the biggest drag
race event outside of South America.
I haven't heard the latest, but at last count, there was almost 500
entries and I believe that Alan was going to be coming out for that event.
I don't know if that's being confirmed or not.
I am under the impression he will be there.
Yeah, I have not spoken with Alan, but yeah, I'm under the impression
he'll be there.
Yeah, so that's a good thing.
And you know, there has been a fair bit of good feedback about him
being over and yeah, I had some first time has come out and this time
he might, he might be able to stay longer.
Why?
So you're telling me something?
Has he liked what?
No, he's going to, he's going to Queensland.
That's a nice part of the world.
So surface paradise, just an hour away.
Beautiful.
Yeah.
Um, but really that's, that's about it.
Drag racing wise is there's a lot of, a lot happening, but it's all, uh,
all on the cusp of the, the Winter Nationals this weekend, which I
believe they will be putting on YouTube for anybody that wants to watch it
until the, up until the pros start racing a little bit like what NHL
does from time to time, they run all the sportsmen and what have you.
And then yeah,
you want to go into that race?
You say it's only an hour away.
No, no, no, the beach is an hour away from the race track.
I am 10 hours away from that track, Joe.
An hour.
So you're closer than rocking hammers to me.
Yeah, but I have no desire.
Oh, well, no, that wins.
Well, that doesn't, yeah.
You know that.
Okay, way to go, Matt.
Uh, let's, uh, open up to, did you have anything else?
Oh, don't just, uh, that, that's, that is it.
Sport and motorsport wise.
I've got a couple of final thoughts, but I'll save them.
Save them.
I do have a question though.
That thing you said with the kangaroo kicking the police officer into the
puddle, was that real or was that AI?
I'll leave it was real.
Yeah, that was a, cause the cop never got any mud on his clothes.
Okay.
Clothes when he hit the water.
I'm still perfectly clean.
Okay, Bobby, Bobby Graham coming at you with some hard facts there.
I don't know.
I don't know.
Three or four times.
I was like 50 or 60 times.
This police officer comes over to trying to move this room and he's got a riot
shield and he's like using the shield and the room kicks him and the guy goes
flying like 20 feet into a puddle, a muddy puddle of water.
And I, I want it to be real.
I want it to be real.
Well, it came, it came from a good, a good mate of mine who wouldn't normally send
crap.
It doesn't matter anymore.
That's the thing about AI is that you don't know anymore.
It's terrible, isn't it?
Yes.
Yeah.
It's well, it's good and it's bad.
There's all kinds of stuff.
If those of you watch today, Luke Skywalker on Jerry Springer.
I sent it to Geo a whole episode.
Luke Skywalker on Jerry Springer.
And then, you know, Darth Vader comes out at the end and it looks so great.
AI is amazing.
We're all going to dance.
Well, they've done a lot of good stuff with Star Wars.
There's, they've done a, that whole empire bit where, where, uh, Han gets caught,
you know, in a cloud city and they've done like, they've taken that to the next
extreme of, of like what happened before they got there and that Vader gets
their first and they've shown like a whole scene of that and they've done a
lot of making their own movies.
Easy.
Yeah.
Just created their own scenes of, of the movie using AI prompts and it's,
it's great.
By the way, uh, uh, we went to go see the Mando and Grogu movie.
Two thumbs up.
Yeah.
I liked it.
You don't have to have a lot of theories to go, to go watch it.
It's just a good overall entertaining two hours.
And look, I get what they're saying that it's just like an extended episode,
but I don't know what they were expecting.
That's exactly what I expected.
And I think it sets it up so that if they want to continue the TV series
and have another season, it allows them to do that.
It's fine.
It's fine.
It's cute entertainment.
There's so there's a whole element of these Star Wars fanatics that,
that no matter what you put out there, they're not going to be happy with.
They just want to crap on it all.
So F them.
Okay.
Oh, it's fine.
It's fine.
It's entertainment.
Light up.
If we're on TV series and we know we are like stranger things.
Have you seen the burrows?
No, on Netflix now by the same people that made stranger things.
No.
Oh, whatever the name is.
Duffer brothers.
Yeah.
Oh my God.
Got to watch it.
You love it.
Well, wait, have you watched finished watching chasing speed now that it's
available to you find folks in Australia?
You were very vocal about not being able to see it and not look by the look
of his face.
He looks like he hasn't watched it.
And now have you finished the entire six episodes?
If your homework to finish watching it, dude, you were all about.
They didn't have it on the other side.
We're being, you know, Monica, I have watched it all.
All right.
All right.
Oh, just hoping Joe wasn't going to ask me that's all.
Why is that?
Careful.
Would you not like it?
You did not enjoy it.
Oh, your negativity around here.
If you don't, if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
All right.
How it feels like it is Matt.
Come on.
Don't hold back now.
I don't know your constitution that well, but isn't the fifth
amendment or something plate?
What's the one you can play?
You're not obligated to say anything.
Incriminate yourself.
Right.
That's what it is.
There you go.
All right.
So Matt didn't like it.
I mean, you know, silence is not like it.
Yeah.
The answer as well.
All right.
Speaking of that, um, any discussion about the race, Sue, this past weekend, the
Potomac Nationals, you know, we kind of touched on some of the things, but what
stood out in your mind is we get ready for Nitro tomorrow.
I'm percolating guys.
I'm going to make a run at guests in the morning.
I'm going to do an eight 30 last call text to see if I can get one of three
different potential people.
We'll see how it all works out.
But Sue, your thoughts on the race.
Oh man.
Well, I thought the racing was great.
I mean, first off, Angie Smith running, you know, she throws down a six 68 with a
three on the final round to win the race.
She's the 200th.
Woman, you know, winning a pro race for NHRA.
Um, I thought that was fantastic.
Um, Gianna Everisto going to 670 with a two at 204 98 was like incredible.
I was jumping up and down, just watching both of them between.
They were cutting lights, putting laying down solid passes.
And then when you sit there and think about what they went through with Matt
Smith being in the hospital, um, and, and couldn't be at the track.
I mean, it was great to see him when he showed up.
Um, it was great to see him there Sunday.
And, but you know, that spoke volumes.
And if you ever didn't, if you didn't think the racing community helped helps
each other that there, just go back and watch what happened with that team.
I mean, they had everybody pitching in and, and that's something that we love
about this sport is they are, everybody is willing to help one another out.
Um, Matt Smith couldn't be there.
And that was a highlight of the race.
Um, I thought that was great.
Uh, Lex June laying down a solid A to B path against Doug Coletta.
First round.
I thought was fantastic.
I mean, he was there.
If Doug would have made a mistake, right?
Like if they just would have made a mistake, I mean, Lex had had a chance
with the fact that they went A to B solid pass first round.
Um, that was a win for Lex and Greta and that entire never quit team.
I thought that was awesome.
That was fantastic to see that.
Um, you know, there's going to be so much said about, you know, Austin
proc and, and that team, you know, they're, they're, they're onto something now.
Look out.
It's going to get, it's going to get spicy and it already is getting spicy.
So, um, it was great to see that.
Um, you know, it was, it was also, I was shocked even, even just with pro stock.
I mean, uh, first off, double A, getting the, getting the, uh, too fast, too
tasty.
I thought that was fantastic.
Yes.
That win.
That was fabulous.
Congrats to Aaron Stamfield for getting that win.
Um, I, you know, my black, my bracket got blown up cause I was not expecting
Matt Latino to totally go right against the, against Greg.
I saw him.
Saw that man going all the way.
But, but, um, but no, that was, that was definitely an exciting race from that
standpoint.
The track looks spectacular.
The views were great.
Um, and oh my goodness sell out Saturday, sell out Sunday.
Um, you know, it was not a, it wasn't a sell out.
It was not a sold out.
Um, it was whatever the capacity was on Saturday, Sunday was 90% of it.
Okay.
Well, it looked, was really hard.
Let me address that because it's really hard.
The pits are on the right hand side of the track where there are fewer bleachers.
It's kind of an unusual situation.
This track, most of their big races are races where people just go and sit in the
stands like they're going to a movie theater.
It was very bizarre.
People are getting there at eight in the morning, 750 AM and they were going up to
the grandstands, not on the pit side and just putting their sitting there and they
were just sitting.
They didn't walk around.
They weren't going to the pits.
They were just sitting there.
We're like observing them like, what are you going to do?
You can sit there all day.
You know, it's eight hours, right?
And no joke, man.
These people sat there for eight hours.
They sat and just watched drag racing.
But the majority of the fans went over to the other side where there was fewer seats
and they just packed in there.
I had some friends, you know, who were over there and they said they had to vacate.
They had to go back over to the other side.
They didn't mind walking around.
But that kind of threw off the whole thing because people want to be on the pit
side, but the big bleacher is on the non pit side and there's nothing we can do about
it.
Yeah.
Well, I mean, again, the racing action was great.
You didn't have a one lane track, but you know,
no, both lanes, when you were getting wins out of both sides.
The competition down to the end was fantastic.
The run, the final between Sean Langdon and Doug Coletta knowing Doug basically
did everything he could and he still got beat by what was it?
4,000.
10,000, 2,000, 0,0002.
The same amount that I gave up the stripe at and rocking it.
Yeah, rocking it.
Yes.
10,000.
2,000, yeah.
But I mean, he did his job, but that was a fantastic race.
And if you even think for a second, either one of them are going to lay down for one
another ain't going to happen.
No.
And to be honest, I got to give a shout out to Jackie Frick getting it done in Top
Alcohol Dragster over what would have been the, you know, the story of stories
with Gary Pritchett.
I know all the bunny percat, but kudos to Jackie Frick and that think racing
team congrats all the way around.
They they brought it and they brought home the took home the Diamond Wally.
So super excited for that team.
So yes, it was it was great.
You know, in that moment, I like Jackie a lot.
I'm friends with Jackie.
I think this great.
Always want to see Jackie win.
Yep.
In that situation, if Gary had one, I would have been okay with it because
Gary and the bunny brachette and it was her birthday weekend and you know, may
she rest in peace.
Yeah.
Just great stuff.
But anyway, the downside, there are a couple of things.
Monica says the turn on the top end, the shutdown area, will they fix the shutdown
area turn?
There's no way to fix it for a 300 inch top fuel dragster to make a 180 turn
without doing a K, you know, like a three point turn.
There's no way to fix it.
And I don't know.
I think that's just going to be part of it too.
People were a little, I know a lot of our Lucas oil series racers were annoyed
that there weren't more Lucas oil series cars invited.
There was top sportsmen and comp.
You couldn't fit.
You saw the size of that.
You don't understand it.
Sue, like they have these people that don't get it.
There was another, your, your operation, Dave and Sue, there was no place for you.
You guys could not have fit one more rig in that place.
We were there for a division way back and it was tight then.
So we knew it was going to be, look, they did what they had to do.
That's the type of venue it's going to be.
You can have your pros and it's going to be limited smaller sportsmen classes.
That's it.
And some downtime and some downtime, which I'm okay with.
It's just that the people sit in the stands because I think it's not a reserved seat.
And so they're just sitting there.
They don't want to lose their seat.
And so they're just sitting there and there's nothing going on.
So I'm out there doing a game, giving away jets, jegs hats, trying to make something
happen, but it didn't, didn't work out.
I mean, it didn't work out.
It was okay.
As long as they understand that there's going to be some time when you're not
watching anything.
That's all.
It happens.
It happens.
It's a drag race and everybody's Sacramento racing fan.
Kevin has not jumped on here.
I don't know what the deal is.
I figured he would be on the road.
He's probably on the road driving.
Wasn't he, wasn't he going up to going to New England and then he's going to Bristol.
He's doing all three.
I know.
I am.
He's guys, the guy is starting to become a cult figure.
I received a text message from someone who doesn't know him at all saying,
how is this guy going to all these races?
He's my hero.
Very cool.
Cause he's doing the race.
They fit and he's like out there.
He's having a blast.
This guy is like, you know, super drag racing fan.
That's hard.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Was walking for charity.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like last week we got him on the walk this week.
We got Matt on not watching chasing speed.
It's great.
And speaking of which we know that Mike race guitar is about to get going on his
annual 10,000 mile trek all over Canada for raising money for children's cancer
and we'll get once he gets going, we will definitely follow up with that.
Yep.
Yes.
And we will be looking for reports and sharing updates for sure.
Yes.
He's talking race guitar.
Yep.
Yes.
Go and race guitar.
Yes.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They're the awesome thing.
I think the awesome.
I was kind of excited for a potential Jordan van de Gryff, Austin proc final round.
Instead, Jack Beckman beat Jordan van de Gryff.
And so we didn't see that, but I think it was Austin.
Who was laughing at him?
Nobody's laughing at Austin.
I don't think anybody was laughing.
I get the whole playing like, oh, yeah, who's laughing now that I won, but nobody was laughing.
I don't think anybody was laughing at him.
No, you know, I understand where he's coming from by trying to, you know, pull this whole.
Oh, yeah, you know, where the underdog team or what have you know, and that may be so.
But give me a break, dude.
Come on.
You're everybody knows you're probably arguably the most talented driver out there.
And it was just a matter of time before you guys, you know, figured it out.
The straw man argument that happens is it's like taking over society.
It's a disease.
They said I couldn't do it.
And they tried to stop a day.
Like who's they did?
Anybody?
Nobody said anything.
Mm hmm.
Nobody said, but you can't just say like we worked hard and we accomplished it.
Now Austin did have haters.
They weren't laughing at him.
They are fans of John force.
Right.
And they felt like Austin left that John force right after John force anointed him as the
that chosen as his chosen one.
Yeah.
Yeah.
If you are a savvy social media person, you may have stumbled across a post today from
another drag racing legend that takes the whole John force side of it to task.
We don't know exactly what is true, but in the end, the call has been made.
Bob Taska and Ford and the proc family is over there.
It took them seven races and they're back in the winter circle and the proc rocket is
back.
It's really old.
Yep.
Beckman and Jordan and Dickie and J.R.
And all of those guys, they got it.
They got to go out there and when they got to beat them.
They got to get it done.
Matt Hagan, the marking matchup.
Okay.
What will happen?
What is the story?
I find it very compelling.
If those guys go on and win a third championship and just defeat the field and beat
them down, then, you know, what do we do?
Do we like close it down?
Like do we just like, all right, that's it.
These guys are there.
They are.
No, you know, you start you start out and wait to to the to the cars like with the
with the bikes.
Oh, you get weight.
Oh, you get weight.
Yeah.
Everybody's got to carry their own.
That's it.
It's like if Alan Johnson decided to start up a new startup team next year, they may
not win right away, but it's only a matter of time before he's there.
They're winning.
It's a matter of time.
I'm not on that note.
I want to give you a little reporting.
So the final round with the two 10 thousands of a second, like I was just looking at Brian
loans posted the ETS slip, you know, the compulink screen really amazing.
I had a nice conversation with Sean after I've noticed recently.
It has been on all year.
So first of all, I noticed that the car is going straighter than any car I've ever
seen go down the racetrack just over and over again, including the 345 343 that
happened in Gainesville.
Like the car is just going crazy straight.
And I asked him about that, but I noticed in Chicago for the first time I noticed
he's got the Max Papas wheel.
He's got the Max Papas wheel.
I love the Max Papas wheel.
He's got the Max Papas wheel.
So I talked to him on Saturday after the two fast to taste him.
I was like, Hey man, you got the Max Papas wheel.
He was like, Oh, like he was a little happy that I noticed something.
Right.
And so after the win, I told him that Brian Hewson had told the world that he had
the Max Papas wheel in there because it's not for me to report.
Hey, they got the wheel in there.
I mean, I guess I could, but that could be a secret too.
I like, maybe it is, maybe it is.
Well, I go Brian, the car's really going straight.
He goes, well, we got the new Max Papas wheel in the car and it's helping Sean
and this this.
So now the cat's out of the bag.
Right.
So I felt like I did my job by lobbing up a softball where Brian Hewson
elected on his own to tell everybody that they got the Max Papas wheel.
So then I went to Sean, I was like, Hey, Brian told the world that you got
the Max Papas wheel and then go, so can we talk about that?
He says, you know what?
The wheel does help me.
He goes, but he goes with the PBRC car.
He goes, that chassis.
He goes, it's better than anything I've ever experienced and the wheel.
He goes, it's incredible.
And so, yeah, it's still a little bit there.
Two 10,000s knocks out Max Papas wheel is yeah.
Yes.
Got to get you one.
Right.
Megan says, living the dream, Megan, you got any notes for the chat?
Anything you want to put out there before we all go away?
I want to turn on your camera and say something.
Yeah.
Hello, Megan.
I just want to do that.
I know, but it was a great race.
It was tremendous.
I don't know if maybe I would leave top sportsman at home and I would bring
like a 32 car stock, super stock thing going on.
Maybe they would take up a little less space and they would run a little quicker,
but then you don't have as much time to fill.
I don't know, but I'll leave it to the NHRA.
I don't know what the answer is, but again, you're only going to get so many.
It's.
We'll return next year.
Great facility, despite it being smaller.
It's there.
There it is.
And Roy Smiller and the team, they were all very friendly and very kind.
I've got my notes.
I don't like having to use a key scan to get into the restroom, but that's for
me and the McDonald's.
Yeah.
All the sweets have key scans, you know, like when you go to work, you got a key
scan to get into the suite restroom.
You got to have a key scan.
So think about it every time me running around in my very limited amount of time,
drinking all that water and vitamin water for hydration.
I got to go with this stupid car key card every time key card and I'm going in
and the door won't open.
I didn't have you in with Courtney.
I missed you with Courtney.
I was on on Friday.
I was in.
Oh, I missed that on Friday.
Me, Courtney and Shirley Moldowney.
Widely discussed a segment.
I was with garlic three races ago.
I was with Greek.
I was watching as much on Friday.
I was watching Saturday, Sunday.
Yeah, you kind of missed something.
I might suggest you go back and watch the Shirley appearance was definitely
something that got people talking.
Okay, I will.
I will go back.
I have to go back.
Get there earlier hiking from your car back.
Wish I could have been there Friday says Megan.
Yeah, it's the, the, the, they got everybody parked in there, but it is a long journey
and getting out of there is also a slight challenge, but it's worth it.
It's a great event.
It was good.
We'll go back and I love going into DC and I love DC.
All right, let's do final thought.
Matt and Australia final thought as it looks like this is going to be a two hour show,
but this is our first show in two weeks and we had the Indy 500 to talk about and the
passing of Kyle Bush, you know, lots of sports NBA finals.
So two hour show, Matt and Australia final thought.
You got to unmute yourself.
We're all going to do you.
There we go.
There it is.
You've all heard about used cars.
Yes.
America has got used submarine salesman.
Our silly minister of defense is over in America at the moment and instead of getting
three new nuclear submarines off America, we're now getting three second hand
nuclear submarines off America.
Wow.
Wow.
What a guy.
That's right.
Remember you guys were going to get them from the French and we swooped in and we did
the deal.
We stole the deal from the French to give you the submarines and that was part one.
We swooped in and we're going to sell you submarines, not the French or the French
are mad at us.
And now you're telling me that the subs that you're getting are used.
That's great.
Don't worry.
Man, what do you want?
It's free.
Yeah.
I bet you it's you know dealer certified.
Yeah.
Yeah, sir.
Yeah, freedom isn't free, Matt.
Freedom isn't free.
Good old Pete.
Pete Hevkes.
He's he's he's done the 3D chess on a Scottish.
Yeah, you got you.
You got you.
The card isn't the cards in the middle.
Card is not in the middle.
Oh, okay.
How about now?
It's not in the middle.
What's going on there?
Don't worry.
I'm sure to be good.
Listen, those diesels, they run great.
Well, that's what the French were trying to sell us anyway.
Diesel electric is like a diesel Renault.
Who bought one of them?
Yes.
Anyway, thought you'd get a bit of we're still in Asia war by the way guys like
here, you know, we're still going on.
We're not talking about it.
We wish I'm sure it's all going to work out great.
But you know, it's still it's still a thing.
Yeah.
And the UFOs are coming anyway.
So, um, before they're already here guys, they're already here.
That does current anyway and final thought just circling back to looking after
the other guys.
I'm not sure what else my neighbor.
They, uh, she's super fit plays representative, uh, sports and she ended up in
hospital this week and exactly well, very similar.
An immunity problem, but she went straight away as soon as she found something
was wrong and look like she had a stroke or the symptoms paralysis, all sorts of
stuff.
We found out that she from a, from a common cold has got a condition that's one
in 10 million Australia only sees one of these conditions a year.
Anyway, thankfully just before I come on, I've got a phone call from her, uh,
her boyfriend and, uh, she's going to be okay and she's on the road to recovery.
But I guess going back to what we're saying earlier, if you don't think you're
right, you're probably not and go and get checked out.
Absolutely.
It's gotta be easier.
It's gotta be easier.
And, uh, I saw this, uh, show, uh, this Kara Swisher show.
She's like this, uh, wired, uh, you know, digital lady who got various podcasts.
She did a, uh, like a doc on, uh, on CNN documentary about living life longevity.
Like all these things that the things that these, uh, tech bros are doing,
you know, getting in these boots, oxygen chambers, you know, all those things,
right?
And she just talked about like, you know, just, you know, going to the doctor,
it helps a lot.
Like, you know, going on a regular basis and on the right and having in that
situation, like two weeks ago, I had a bad cold and I have some antibiotics here.
And I thought I mentioned on the show and my friend Dave of Dave and Amy,
he reached out to me.
He's like, don't take them.
And I had already taken one.
He's like, don't take them.
And I'm like, why not?
He goes to the chances of that being bacterial is the next and on.
And what you'll do is you'll kill all the good bacteria in your gut and it's
going to hurt your immune system.
Besides that.
All right.
And I didn't take any more and I did recover.
I came right back.
Just took a nice weekend at the race track smelling a little nitro and I came back.
So every time you got to know when to hold them and know when to fold them,
man, you got to be, be smart.
You're going to listen to your body.
Cold shower, Joe.
Haven't had a cold.
Never.
Cold shower.
Right.
Cold.
I haven't had a cold.
All plunge.
Haven't had a cold.
Never.
You incredible.
Incredible.
All right, Matt.
Nice job.
Good job.
Bobby Graham.
Bobby Graham.
My man.
Bug barn.
What's going on down there?
The wisdom.
Well, for his wisdom today, I read something and I stuck with me.
I went back to copy it down and I couldn't find it, but I'm going to, I'm going to
rephrase it in the mortal words of my one of my ex workers.
He had the greatest vocabulary, so I'm going to rephrase it and I guess I'll
modify it.
So remember that your legacy is not remembered by your mistakes, but you
are remembered by how you recover from them.
And that's my lawyer's wisdom.
I like that, Bobby.
It's true.
It is.
It's like not how many times you get knocked down.
It's how many times you get back up.
It's not tough times don't last tough people do.
You got to keep going and that's that's it.
That's and some people don't, but what else are you going to do?
You got to keep going.
You got to keep moving.
I like that.
Like this day you miss a hundred percent of the shots you don't take, man.
You got to just keep getting back up and keep trying.
Yeah.
Yeah.
And that's what you got to be remembered.
He came back and he did all this and you're remembered by what you
accomplished mostly because what you forget if you look at people that get
in trouble and all that six months later, nobody remembers that.
Well, I was speaking with Joe Serena in the next round and we were talking
about how his wife had told him that he shouldn't have said that spicy
comment on the starting line.
And I, I, I scolded her through the camera.
It's like, what would have been the worst thing that would have happened?
He was, well, what would have happened?
I go, people would have forgotten one second later.
No, but once it doesn't come true, nobody cares.
We're onto the next story.
So have a little fun.
Think of all the people over the years who have talked trash and doesn't work out
and whatever, but if it does work out, then, you know, you've elevated yourself.
Good job, Bobby Graham.
I like it.
And you're going to the stampede of speed, right?
Bobby.
Oh, yes, sir.
Oh, yes, sir.
Oh, yes, sir.
There we go.
I love it.
Time down there.
Not the whole 12 days, but I will be there for a racist.
Right.
And champions dinner.
You'll be there for that.
And a champion.
Yeah, that's a big part of it.
Assuming I can get you guys in there this year again.
You know, you never know.
You never know.
Sue, final thought.
Well, you know, the last few weeks have been, been definitely a whirlwind.
And as always, we want to say, you know, reach out to those that you,
you love and make sure that they, they hear from you and cause you never know.
You never know what's going to happen.
Um, so, uh, congratulations ahead to AJ and the final step graduation.
I think that's awesome.
Proud of you.
He's going to be another, another maker.
Look out, look out, AJ.
Um, Monica, I know you're a proud mama.
So, uh, very excited for them.
Um, if you're in the Charlotte area, there's the high performance, uh, expo
that's going on at the Charlotte convention center.
Um, stop by booth 10 21.
You'll find fuel factory there.
Um, both, uh, Mark Wessler and Dave will be there.
So, uh, stop by it's a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday this week at the Charlotte convention
center.
If you happen to be in the area, so it should be a good show.
Where's the convention center as like in relationship to it's right near the hall
fame.
Okay.
Right near the hall of fame.
I know where it is.
Okay.
Downtown Charlotte.
Downtown Charlotte.
Yep.
Yep.
So you factory, I'm wearing my fuel factory hats are wearing your great hat.
By the way, this is a nice structured, uh, trucker style, but, but nice, nice.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
That's a good cap there.
Yes.
So, thank you.
Um, but yeah.
And then, uh, if you do happen to go by and you see Dave in it's Thursday, yell happy
birthday, cause.
I love my life is turned another year older.
I'm not going to give us the number.
Pretty good.
Dave made another year.
Wow.
Happy birthday Dave.
I'm guessing 50 something.
There you go.
There you go.
Something.
Yes.
All 50 something now, but 50 is the new 30 guys.
That's right.
We're good to go.
We're going to be good.
Oh, please.
Keep on going.
Keep on doing it.
You keep swimming by Gio.
You keep swimming.
You keep doing those laps.
You're going to walk anymore.
Every my ankles keep getting beat up by baseballs.
Yes.
Bobby and Monica.
I just have an eye too.
Whoo.
One shout out I wanted to give is to Paul Thornton Thornton and Brian Tully racing.
The parts that I got from those guys, they really did me well.
And the more I drive my truck here now, the better I realize it runs now that it used to.
So very good.
Big shout out Paul.
That's great.
Way to go Bobby.
Way to go.
Use the show buddy.
I love it.
Fellow Gemini says Monica.
Excellent.
Excellent.
Well, good job.
Happy birthday Dave.
Thank you, Sue.
Giovanni final thought.
Everyone have a great week.
Enjoy the races.
Be safe out there.
And yeah, get yourself checked out man.
You don't want to end up like Kyle Busch.
Oh my gosh.
So harsh, but true.
You know, one of those things.
It's like that.
Love the guy, but that's it.
He's gone.
He's dead and you know, it's over.
That's all in the end.
We're all just warm food.
People can't handle hearing that.
But it is also true.
They can't handle hearing that.
So sorry.
I apologize to those of you that aren't wimpy and can't deal
with the fact that we're all going to die.
You know, that's the beauty of it.
We just don't know when it is.
It could be tomorrow.
It could be 40 50 years from now.
That's it.
Just enjoy it man.
Enjoy it and it's Mother roses.
You know, don't worry about the finish line and enjoy the ride.
Yeah.
That's all I got.
It's it.
Okay, there you go.
Thank you.
I know that they're driving and racing all over the country
and some of you are cold in the upside down.
Stay warm, Matt.
Thank you, Bobby.
I appreciate Bobby Graham.
Thank you, Sue.
WFO, y'all.
WFO.
There it is.
Thank you, Geo for that.
You're not wrong.
You're not wrong.
And that's the thing.
And that brings me to this point.
One thing you can do with the remaining moments of your life is check out our WFO sponsors.
That's definitely the way into Valhalla, right?
Whether it be Larisse Motorsports Insurance when that's safe for satellite falls out of
the sky onto you and you're racing operation.
Wouldn't it be great for you to be covered so your family can have something to remember
you buy?
Check out Larisse Motorsports Insurance.
It's taken a dark turn, but only for the comedy of it for the comedy of it.
All of my racing operation is covered.
You like coffee?
You like coffee as you contemplate your doom?
Rodax coffee and grills dot com hot sauces, spice rubs, everything good.
Release some endorphins on your deathbed with a little Rodax coffee.
It will be great.
You will enjoy it.
Marvin Rodac, my main man, guy who defies all of these things and shows up to work every
single day and roasting the coffee, doing a great job.
Love Marvin.
Appreciate Marvin.
Frank Holley's Drag Racing School.
The Dragster Adventure.
It is very safe.
You show up with the clothes on your back and you drive Dragsters and you have fun for a day.
Someone asked me recently, they'd like, Hey, do they do groups?
They do.
Can I bring a bunch of yes, you can.
Here's their number.
Frank Holley dot com.
That's exactly what it is all about.
Frank Holley dot com.
Total seal piston rings.
Guys, you're all podcast listeners.
Go listen to Steve Johnson on Hidden Horsepower.
I know you probably think Steve is a little zany.
He is he's zany, but we get him calm down and he starts talking about ring seal.
He's talking about making power.
He's talking about how he had to change his perspective.
He's talking about Dale Earnhardt.
He's talking about snake.
He's talking about all these people that he's interacted with.
And then you realize like, man, this guy has been racing for 40 years of racing nonstop.
Steve Johnson like that deserves respect and go listen to that.
Plus FTI performance transmissions and torque converters.
FTI doing a tremendous job out there.
Bernie Speedshop, B-U-R-N-Y-Z-Z.
Bernie's over 100,000 square feet.
That's one of my side projects.
Get the GTO.
I got a power of attorney.
I got to change the title.
Ah, moving cars around.
Not easy.
And Jesse converters, the DPF X fit and G sport models.
Of catalytic converter of Jesse.
And yeah, Matt Latino.
